Q: What is good about your house? A: It’s thoroughly cleaned and furnished to be pleasing to the eyes. Also, the elegant Frostheim students, perhaps.

Q: Do you have any concerns with missions? A: With the assistance of a uniquely talented master and the perceptive juniors, there are no concerns at all. The captain isn’t feeling well? No, that won’t be a big deal. 

Q: Where would you like to go if you have your R&R permit approved? A: If I get an R&R permit approved…… let’s see. For example,  how about going out to a nearby mountain and going trekking. That’s surprising? Hahaha…… Of course I mean it.

Q: What is good about your dorm? A: The atmosphere is similar to my hometown and it’s comfortable. And then, the air on the premises is so clear that at night there are times when you can see the Aurora. If I’m here, I feel like my soul is in harmony with nature. 

Q:  Do you have any concerns with missions? A: Actually, I want to be sent on a higher ranking mission. I train every day to make that wish come true. Definitely someday…… I will be able to subjugate a demon with my hands. 

Q: Where would you like to go if you have your R&R permit approved? A: I want to go to a restaurant that Kaito said “All the Japanese boys like.” If I remember correctly…… it was called Jiro style ramen. Since there’s not a restaurant like this in my hometown in England, I’m really looking forward to it. 

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A: From the day I transferred to this school, Kaito was my first friend and has been a really good friend to me. I’m also very grateful to Tohma for all the help. Now, all that’s left is for Jin to fulfil his duties, but….

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A: Hm…… the captain and vice captain honestly feel like they live above the clouds….. Rumor has it the two of them are colluding with Darkwick, I heard they’re doing something nasty. Eh? Luca? …… I don’t know that bastard with an unrivaled face.

Q: Do you have any concerns with missions? A: ……The path he chose, will it lead closer to the truth? I keep asking myself that.

Q: What’s your favorite place on campus? A: A fishing spot. Since it’s in the forest, no one usually comes there. How do you get there from the main building……? ….. I won’t know until I go back to the dorm.

Q: Where would you like to go if you have your R&R permit approved? A: Mount Hotaka. Ah, it’s in the Northern Alps. It’s definitely far from here, but…… I’d take the car so it’s not a problem. 

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A: We’re just some random people who obtained power by chance. But, clawing their way up like their life depends on it…… those guys have that kind of nature.

Q: What is your favorite subject? A: No~thing. You just have to memorize the textbooks. It’s so easy it’s boring. I had high hopes because it was supposed to be specialized study of anomalies. 

Q: What’s your favorite place on campus? A: The bath. When I enrolled, there wasn’t even a bath in my dorm’s shower room. I had to use my own money to remodel. It’s honestly ridiculous, right? 

Q: Where would you like to go if you have your R&R permit approved? A: The club. Since I entered Darkwick, I haven’t been able to go out at all. I’m so stressed I’m gonna go insane. 

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A: No matter how you look at it, Cap is a himbo. Eh~, Sho…….. he’s my slave, I guess♡

How should I put it… we’ve just been hanging out together for some reason since middle school. Mido-senpai…… I never know what he’s thinking. When I looked it up, apparently it's a store chain that sells various useful appliances! Now that's music to my ears~

Q. Where would you like to go if you have your R&R permit approved? A. Anywhere as long as that clown isn't there is great...... Oh, right. There's also this movie theatre in Shinjuku called Musashinokan. I want to go there... Huh? I'm going alone of course. Isn't that obvious.....

Q: What is your favorite subject? A: There’s something to learn from every subject, but my best subject is, of course, Anomalous Law. Instead of the basic Six Codes, the subject deals with special cases, like how the Anomalous Investigation Institute and Darkwick regulations handle legal proceedings surrounding anomalies. 

Q: What’s your favorite place on campus? A: There’s no location in particular, but the restaurant on campus called the Mystery Diner is a good choice. Since it is always deserted, it is a good location for client meetings. 

Q: Where would you like to go if you have your R&R permit approved? A: If I get permission to go out, I would like to go to the opera. Before entering this school, I often went to the New National Theatre in Tokyo with my mother. Bizet’s “Carmen” is recommended for beginners. Do you understand French? 

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A: I have come to the conclusion that it is futile to try to change the violent behavior of the captain, Taiga Hoshibami, as well as the vice captain, Romeo Scorpius Lucci. From now on, I will defend them and certainly win the Laurel Crown.

Q. What's your favorite subject? A. Favorite subject... I guess you could say I like Anomalous Biology the most. Professor Hyde's lectures are always so interesting, I can't help but to be all ears whenever he talks...

Q. What’s your favorite place on campus? A. Lately I've been enjoying my lunch at the second floor terrace of the main school building. It's an easier place to stay for me compared to the ever-crowded cafeteria.

Q. Do you have any concerns with missions? A. Hotarubi normally doesn't really have many chances to go through difficult missions so I don't really... Oh, but if I must say, perhaps I rely too much on Haku... I feel awful for being such an undependable captain.

Q. Where would you like to go if you have your R&R permit approved? A. Shibuya...... I suppose? I've been living all my life in Tokyo but the truth is, I've never been there. Not even once. O-oh, no! Please don't mind me! I really just mean that I hope I'll get the chance to go some day......! I'm… not too good with crowds.

Q: What is good about your house? A. Let's see... It feels humid everyday thanks to the rain and the building is so old that it’s probably on the brink of collapsing. Haha... I guess it's always easier to complain, huh. Despite everything, this place does give me a sense of tranquillity. Perhaps because the atmosphere is similar to my family's home.

Q. What’s your favorite place on campus? A. Can I choose a place from our dorm? Then I'd recommend the open-air porch of our guest room. Enjoying a cup of hot tea while your eyes feast on Hotarubi's esteemed garden一it's one of a kind experience.

Q. Do you have any concerns with missions? A. I don't really have any particular complaints... scratch that. There's one. Our dorm is a little understaffed. Well, I guess there are some who can help out—but asking them would be a little troublesome. We already have someone who can keep this place lively, you see.

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A. Another difficult question, huh. Let's see... Subaru is a very capable leader. His only flaw is that he always tries to carry everything by himself. As for Zenji... how do I say this... being around him cheers me up. I'm grateful to him for that.

Q: What is good about your house? A. I'm so glad you asked! As a matter of fact, our esteemed Hotarubi house is an ensemble of chic, peaceful, and artistic boys and girls!

Q. Do you have any concerns with missions? A. Uh-hmm? Let's see... Concerns, concerns... if I must say something then I suppose it's how Haku seems to like working all by himself? Oh, but it won't be a problem! I'll simply put more work to help him...... from the shadows, that is.

Immediately to the left side as you start ascending Natsume-zaka from the Waseda intersection一there, proudly stands a black granite monument inscribed with the words "The Birthplace of Soseki Natsume"... It's my dream to be able to touch that monument.

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A. If I were to describe Subaru as anything then... he's someone with a heart of glass... On the contrary, I can't help but notice Haku's tactless conduct. He ought to learn to be more mindful if he's going to call himself my manager.

Q: What is good about your house? A. There are a lot. For starters, it's far removed from the boisterous campus and nobody dares to interfere with these grounds. But the best part is how there's no sunlight. I'm a vampire, you see. So a dorm that is always engulfed in night time is a comfortable place for me to live in.

Q. What’s your favorite place on campus? A. My own room would be the best place, after all. I can watch Youtube anytime and the Nishikawa bed that Rui picked is exceptionally cozy. What do you think? Would you like to try sleeping on it with me?

Q. Do you have any concerns with missions? A. I have no such concerns since I don't go on missions. Cough cough..... Aah, pardon me. The cold I caught last month still hasn't gone away, you see. Will it be okay to excuse myself soon?

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A. I'm envious of how those two are so young and full of energy. When I was around their age, I....... oh dearie me. It's quite an old tale so I have completely forgotten about it.

Q. Do you have any concerns with missions? A. Thanks to all those brute germs from other houses destroying each and every anomaly, I never have enough specimens to use for my experiments!

Q. Where would you like to go if you have your R&R permit approved? A. Now that we’re talking about it, it’s almost time for me to buy clothes for the next season. Where am I going to buy them? Why, at the Nihombashi Takashimaya Shopping Center of course!!

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A. Are you referring to Jiro, assistant and patient to the genius Yuri Isami? Well, he still needs a lot of training, you see. He lacks knowledge, skills, experiences, and education. That is to say, he’s 100 years too early to become a doctor of my caliber.

Q. What's your favorite subject? A. Anomalous Medicine, I suppose. But since I specialize in infectious disease, I usually research papers and materials that aren't included in the curriculum on my own.

Q: What do you think about the ghoul(s) in your house? A. Okay... The only other ghoul is Yuri, though. He's my attending doctor. If it wasn't for Yuri, I may be as good as dead now. I feel grateful to him, to put it simply.

Lucas Errant – husky plushie

Extremely happy that he is receiving such a thoughtful gift from you!

He never truly allowed himself to play with toys because of his studies, and then came the guilt of losing his brother… Letting himself relax like that barely ever crossed his mind.

So he doesn't really know what to do???

He just perches the cute plushie on his desk and politely greets it whenever he leaves his room and gets back.

He's a bit confused, but he's got the spirit!

Since the husky is always on his desk, it kinda becomes his study buddy really quick too.

Luca ends up reciting his notes to it and reading his books out loud, so it helps him get even better grades (if that's even possible).

He notices this and IMMEDIATELY goes to thank you.

He is 100% sure that you had this crazy elaborate plan to make him get better grades, which is why you made the plushie for him.

Now he’s asking you to maybe make one for Kaito so he stops going to so many remedial classes…

Because he’s denser than a (quickly researches what is the densest rock in the world) peridotite

And doesn’t realize that you gave him a handmade gift because you LIKE him........

He’ll have to ask someone for help after you get upset with him because of this.

Because the husky plushie definitely doesn’t know either and, for some reason, Kaito just refuses to help him!

Cut him some slack… he’s just dense. Like a peridotite.

Shinjo Ritsu – otter plushie

“Okay...?”

“Therefore I accept the gift.”

Congratulations, you have just given Ritsu his first official associate.

Or at least this is what he says to himself in his mind.

He was trained to become a lawyer since he was a little kid, so he never thought about playing with toys that much (and his father didn’t push him to do so as well).

But he gotta admit, having a handmade plushie, something his partner (as in business partner! Don’t get him wrong!) made for him exclusively does bring a feeling of joy he never quite felt before.

If anyone so much as THINK about touching his gift, he will be ready to recite the entire constitution, and every single law they broke, AND declare how many years they’ll get in prison just for touching his little otter friend.

He takes things such as private property very seriously after all.

He won’t take the plushie everywhere with him (what about safety?), but he does keep it right next to him in bed when he’s reviewing all the records he made throughout the day.

For a second, he wonders if he could sneak a camera into a plushie and give it to you, but oh no, that would be an invasion of privacy!

Or at least only until he finds a loophole in the law.

Kotodama Zenji – koi plushie

"My dear!!! Oh you truly are the most lovely flower to ever grace this earth! If my heart could still beat, it would be racing for you!!"

You managed to steal a little beaded bracelet artifact, something weak (or at least you hope so), and tied it on the plushie's tail.

And your theory was successful! Zenji could actually touch it, just like he could carry his doll due to its anomalous properties.

To say he’s absolutely SMITTEN with the plushie is an understatement.

He loves anything artistic and knowing that you spent your precious time creating that cute plushie for him makes him so so happy!

WILL carry it everywhere and write ballads about the koi. And poems. And he will read every single myth involving kois and post them on his youtube channel as well (please like and subscribe... PLEASE...)

Haku has the time of his life laughing at Zenji, because now he carries his doll, his biwa AND his plushie everywhere.

If you keep giving him gifts, he might actually need a whole cart to carry everything around him.

The little koi and the doll become his most loyal fans, and his company during nighttime, when everyone’s asleep.

If you see a koi plushie outside your window, don’t freak out. It’s just Zenji watching you sleep again.

He has the habit of calling the doll "his brother" and now he’s gonna call the koi plushie "his dearest".

The two people he cares about the most, right there in his arms: Jiro and you.

Ishibashi Tohma – orca plushie

"Oh? I wonder what made you think I am fit for receiving such an adorable little gift."

Tohma… does not know what to do with the gift you just gave him.

Don’t get him wrong, he appreciates it! Truly. He is mesmerized by the fact that you made a whole orca plushie with your own hands.

But he also doesn’t see how someone as intimidating as him deserves such an adorable gift.

Maybe all those months serving someone else with little appreciation made him forget how it feels to be pampered…

He places the plushie in the vault, right on his desk, and it becomes his companion when he needs to go through paperwork.

Tohma tried giving it a hug once and he got so damn sleepy RIGHT AWAY that now he just pats its head whenever he needs to take a break.

That little thing is dangerous, making him feel so comfortable… He can’t sleep, he’s a busy man! A little headpat to acknowledge the plushie will have to suffice.

However, he still hasn’t tried taking the plushie to his room yet.

He’s quite worried that his sleep will just be filled with dreams about you.

And oh dear... it'd be way too tough to wake up from something pleasant like that.

Mizuki Rui – black bunny plushie

He’d laugh and send a screenshot of it to you, but then you'd drop the bombshell that it was you.

He’d be so bewildered at your response for a couple minutes, but then he'd question you.

He's watching everything you did, poking a bit of fun at the characters you play, but he still loves all of them.

He has all your modeling pictures saved, and he's hoping you’d post more.

Sho’s seen you from a movie you starred in.

The entire drive back to your house, Scaramouche wondered why he was always put into compromising situations. It wasn't the late hour, or the otherwise deserted roads other than the usual few vehicles being dime a dozen.

No...it was that he was chauffeuring the only person he didn't want to be within a ten foot pole radius from. Softly, your laughter was still emitting from your lips as your head lolled back and forth.

His eyebrows knitted together in frustration, grip tightening on the steering wheel. He was annoyed, but knowing this was the quietest that he'll ever see you was more comforting than not being perceived.

Texts from his phone illuminating a section under his arm as his eyes kept flicking back and forth, he knew it was Ei bothering him again. Her poking and prodding the gnawing that he always felt being around her.

Pulling into your driveway, he brought his car in enough to quickly get you out. Tohma quickly headed into eye view to hurry towards the other side of the door. "Thank you so much. I don't know what I'd do if they weren't able to get home."

He sighed in response, turning off the engine. "Is that all?"

"Yeah...(Y/N)?" Tohma paused, his gaze lingered on you. "They're completely out."

"Keen observation." Scaramouche sarcastically quipped.

Tohma looked at the other before hesitantly rounding you up, careful not to jostle you as he helped your limp body out of the car. Your body soon enough became less languid, eyes slowly opening.

You mumbled something unintelligible in response, your words slurred. "Scaramouche," You made out, blinking blearily before you felt a certain rage overcome your body again. "Where is he?!"

Your steps were unsteady as you leaned against Tohma for leverage, but you were also thrashing to turn and find the person you were screaming at through Twitter earlier.

"(Y/N)...take it easy-!" His words were drowned out by your fervent rage, your gaze was wild as you scanned the surroundings, only to see the very person you were talking about.

"YOU." Your voice rose to a shout, staggering towards him. "Had some nerve coming to my house!" You shouted, tears welling in your eyes as your vision went in and out, "My friends hate me because of you! I will fucking see to it that you are destroyed by my very hands!" You screamed, causing Tohma to panic.

"I'm really sorry! Thank you...again-! (Y/N), please stop." Tohma struggled out. He felt like he was on the verge of a brain aneurysm any second now.

He lunged towards you to hold you back from attacking Scaramouche, but as soon as you did that, you were about to speak again. And then you regurgitated, your body convulsed until you were retching violently, doubling over.

"Oh my god," Tohma mouthed silently, his body frozen.

It was a sight to behold - Scaramouche's dark clothes were colored in a murky brown shade of vomit. But instead of what Tohma thought he was going to do, it was the complete opposite. He didn't recoil in horror, he didn't scream or curse, he simply just stood there, expression unreadable.

He was probably so pissed off that he forgot that he was initially having a horrible day.

"Okay! Okay!!" Tohma said in between two deep breaths, holding you in between his arms even tighter despite your struggling. "Scaramouche. Please let me help you clean up before you leave."

“No.” He replied with a sudden urgency that seethed through his teeth, flicking some of the chunks of sick off of his fingers. “Absolutely not. I’m going home.”

“I’m saying this with all due respect despite everything you’ve done. You can’t go home looking like that, I won’t let you.”

A crazy theory about the traitor of Tokyo Debunker

I have a theory about who the traitor ghoul could be.

[This is all translated with the translator, I'm sorry for any possible lexical or spelling mistakes, I hope you enjoy my theory]

Okay, I think that they really told us the truth from the beginning.

No, don't go, listen to me--

I think that, in the preface, before the story itself, where they give you to choose a ghoul to supposedly save, that's where the truth lies. Who is the traitor. And that's why I've been studying each of the statements of the 19 ghouls (except for Ed and Lyca) and GUYS I HAVE FOUND SOMETHING.

Before I tell you who I think the traitor is, I'll give you a little introduction: I've studied each of the ways ghouls throw themselves off the terrace and I've found 5 different base drawings, because they are bases that are repeated within the ghouls when they throw themselves off.

For example, base 1 (that's how I called it) is used by Jiro, Alan, Jin, Luca, Leo and Ritsu. I've been looking for ways to relate them to each other, but I haven't found any. Neither between their statements, nor their names, nor their ways of acting in front of MC. I mean, these guys seem to apologize to MC (each in their own way) except for Leo... That said, Leo's statement seemed hopelessly interesting to me, but I'll talk about it in a few paragraphs later. I thought that maybe the Kanji of their initials in Japanese, or maybe the pronunciation of their names in another language give rise to a secret message of why they chose these characters for this pose, or maybe I'm just thinking too much.

Well, the next position, position 2 (according to me, again) is occupied by Yuri, Rui, Taiga and Towa. Here I think the position fits with the boys and their statements, because none of them seem to really want to let you go. That's why they are trying to reach out their hand towards the MC, although perhaps timidly, because they are really accepting their fate.

Position 3, occupied by Tohma, Haku, Haru and Zenji, in their posture they don't try to get close to you in the least. They know they are going to die and they have accepted it. Again, I don't know how to fit it or link them together, but I know that they haven't been chosen at random. In this game nothing is a coincidence.

Position 4, the last one shared between ghouls, is occupied by Kaito, Sho, Romeo and Subaru. Again I don't know how to link them together. Oh well Subaru's statement made me very intrigued, I'll also discuss it later.

Well, and there is ONE LAST POSITION THAT ONLY HAS ONE CHARACTER

That character is Ren. And I think he is the traitor.

WAIT DON'T GO, LET ME EXPLAIN

Now is when you will say "why do you think Ren is the traitor just because of his falling position?" well, WELL. To start with I don't think there are "coincidences" in this game, that is, if they have made an effort to make only one drawing for Ren, there must be a reason, right?

Well, let's analyze his line now step by step:

'This is the reason I didn't want to do this'? What does he mean by 'this'? It could be anything, but what if he's talking about betraying MC? Because Taiga never said who the traitor works for. What if he works for Darkwick...?

We can't trust Darkwick, that's become clear throughout the chapters. Also, the ghouls are aware that they're trapped inside the academy, and that's not counting what he did to Lyca. So I don't rule out the possibility that Darkwick was the one who 'hired' our spy, so to speak. Also, from the beginning it's clear that Ren doesn't fit in at Jabberwock, where he was assigned... What is he doing there? What if the academy put him there by rigging the entrance ceremony? Because we all know that Jabberwock is home to a hundred anomalies... And if a student in charge of taking care of them deals with them, it won't look weird. That's why Darkwick brought Ren into Jabberwock and somehow bought him to work there. Because, do you remember the mermaid named by Hyde in chapter 7? The one that's not in Morktranken? The one under Haru's custody? Ren is from Jabberwock, he might know something about it... 'I knew this was how it was going to end!' Ren knew there was something wrong from the beginning? Not even Taiga knew, in his statement he asked us what we had done wrong... And now Ren comes and tells us that he had a bad feeling from the beginning... This causes a lot of doubts. Because what is Ren doing telling us that if he lives always locked in his phone? That only means that he knows more than he says.

'What am I doing here? This is all your fault' To begin with, why does he blame us? Not even Leo (u, damnit bitch) talks to us like Ren does. Also, speaking of Leo, his statement tells us that "I will make those assholes pay for this" IN PLURAL which indicates that the traitor works for someone else and does not do it for his own ideals... With Leo's statement I completely rule out that he is the spy, to tell the truth. But I could be wrong.

Returning to the subject of Ren blaming us, I can only wonder what leads him to that. Why does he blame us? What leads us to the hell in which the game begins...? And why is Ren the only one who blames us while the rest of the ghouls either blame themselves or don't name it. I mean, not even Leo does! This just makes me think more and more that Ren isn't hiding anything good... And I also wonder why Subaru is the only one who blames himself directly. I know his personality is like that... But I can only think of Subaru and his misleading statement... Maybe the company wants us to think badly of him? After all, Professor Moby told us that the Hotarubi ghouls are hiding something. And we don't know if we've really discovered what they're hiding or if we've only seen the tip of the iceberg. And Haku seems pretty suspicious to me too, after telling the principal "have I ever hidden something from you?" BUT WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT HAKU RIGHT NOW. I know he's hiding something, but I don't think he's the traitor.

Now let's talk about Ren's position.

He's the only one who, when he jumps off the balcony, really seems like he doesn't want to do it. He's the one who stretches his hand out more emphatically towards MC, as if he were regretting what he's doing, or as if he's doing this because he has no other choice or... I don't know. His very stiff posture towards you just seems suspicious to me.

But that's because I think he's the traitor, right? Maybe I'm thinking too much, right?

ok so i’m seeing a lotta angsty tdb headcanons going around (don’t get me wrong i LOVE them and theyre all literally sosoSO good) but i wanna lighten the mood a bit so im just gonna share some silly/lighthearted hcs i have !! (in no particular order ofc)

- One night when Sho went to the campus store to look for some ingredients he ran into Kaito there, who was ALSO buying some cooking supplies! That’s how he learned that Kaito knows how to bake, and he’s been getting some really good recipes from him ever since! (no Kaito doesn’t know that Sho basically thought he was a cringe loser before 😭)

- Jin suffers from chronic migraines, and that’s the real reason he sound proofed his room, but no one else needs to know that. i mostly have this hc bc i also suffer fron migraines and i wanted to share my pain with one of the ghouls lmao

- Haku is actually really into fashion/styling, but not in the same way as Romeo or Leo are. he likes to go to thrift stores and buy vintage clothes, and he even has a finsta where he posts his outfits! it’s really lowkey and he keeps his face hidden, but he has a pretty decent following on it!

- Towa LOVES bamboo. it’s like one of his favorite plants to snack on! He’s asked Haru to get some for the park but 1) they don’t currently have any anomalous animals that need it and 2) importing bamboo stalks is expensive :(

- Jiro has been told countless times by multiple different people that he has a great voice for asmr. a part of him really wants to try it out, as it’d be another way to help people, but his workload is heavy and keeps him busy. he also thinks that Yuri would find it silly and disapprove of it, so he keeps this little dream to himself

- Sometimes, when Haru is busy with his indoor chores, he lets Peekaboo watch Bluey! And if he has free time he’ll watch it with them lol!! He’ll never admit it to anyone but he secretly looks up to Bandit pfft

- Ritsu has fidget spinners and other stim toys that he uses whenever he studies. it helps him stay focused and even keeps him from getting stressed out whenever he has to deal with his captain and vice captain lmao. he keeps this a secret though bc he thinks taiga and romeo would make fun of him for it (they wouldn’t)

- Tohma is actually allergic to cats! since he’s a ghoul, regular cats like the ones on campus don’t bother him, but any cat-like anomaly he’s ever dealt with has always left him sneezing and with watery irritated eyes lmaooo

- Alan once saw a Cinnamaroll keychain while he was out running errands one day and thought it was so insanely cute that he bought it. He was immediately embarrassed by it though and gave the keychain to some random kid. Cinnamaroll is now his favorite sanrio character.

- Despite living in Obscuary and being a literal Reaper, Rui can NOT handle scary movies. Especially if they’re really gorey. He’s more so disturbed that a regular human would come up with such dark and violent movies, and that there are people out there who are WILLING to watch it.

- Luca has a pet dog back home !! She’s an older German Shepherd with a bit of an attitude lol. She waits at the door for him (and his brother) everyday.

Yumiko Sumitomo

Yumiko has popped up a few times. She is the person who spread the rumors about Jin's family; she was suspended at the end of the Frostheim chapter, but her name has come up a few times since then.

At the start of the Frostheim chapter, she is gossiping about Jin with other Frostheim students. They talk about "the friend who left Jin's side" and how she wants to be closer to Jin, going as far as to order a dress in from Italy to match him. (Idk what exactly she thinks this will accomplish?) However, she seems really clueless to the fact that Jin has been isolating himself, that he hasn't been going on missions, or that anything might have happened to him.

Tohma steps into this conversation and gets her to shut up by casually mentioning a scandal her father (an executive at Saionji Trading) was involved in, and offering his assistance.

The next time we see her is shortly before the rumors about Jin's family go public. She is running from the chess guardians in the Frostheim vault and disappears while Luca tries to fight them off. Tohma was also in the vault, but acts like he didn't know anyone was there.

After the rumors drop, Tohma tries to call her. She doesn't pick up.

Directly after this, Jin accuses Tohma of betraying him, and Tohma replies that the "the friend who left his side" is the one responsible.

Towards the end of the chapter, it is announced that Yumiko was the one spreading the rumors and that she has been suspended. The Chancellor is irritated that Jin pressured the academy to give her a lenient punishment. Tohma didn't know ahead of time that Jin was going to do this, but says it is fitting for Jin, as the president's son.

Yumiko is mentioned again in the Vagastrom chapter, when Leo confronts Alan and Tohma together. Leo claims that he found evidence that Tohma has been extorting the Sumitomos in exchange for burying the family's scandal and saving her father's job. Leo thinks he could've gotten more money out of it, and tbh I agree — 20 million yen is about $125,000 USD. These are rich people we're talking about here.

But then in Jin's affinity scenes, we see Frostheim students gossiping again, and they say that Yumiko's father has been fired for embezzling.

I can think of a few different ways to interpret all of this, but here's what I think is most likely:

Yumiko takes Tohma up on his offer to help cover up her family's scandal, and meets with him in the Frostheim vaults. He asks for a relatively low amount of money, because the money isn't the point. She underestimates him and takes the opportunity to search the vault for information while she's there. The chess guardians recognize her as a threat and chase her out, but Tohma sees only Lucas fighting with the guardians. He does not realize that they were initially reacting to Yumiko.

When the rumors go out, Tohma immediately realizes that Yumiko is behind it — and this is very stupid of her, considering that he's helping her out with a scandal that could ruin her family's reputation. However, Tohma tells Jin that "the friend who left your side" is responsible. There are a few reasons he might do this — he might think that Yumiko is working with/for the "friend." He might be trying to hide his own involvement with Yumiko. Or he might be hiding some other part of his plans from Jin. (Or something else, who knows?)

Whatever the case, Tohma doesn't retaliate against Yumiko... not yet, anyway. He lets things stand long enough for Leo to dig around for evidence. No matter how good Leo is with technology, this seems very careless for Tohma. He also doesn't strike me as the kind of person who is motivated by money, and he didn't ask for a lot of money in the first place.

I think Tohma was using the money as bait to get the spy to reveal himself — but wasn't anticipating some sneaky first year getting all up in his business. If Yumiko had kept quiet, Tohma probably would have left it at that. But she didn't.

In the aftermath, Tohma and Jin take very different approaches to dealing with Yumiko. Jin goes out of his way to make sure her punishment is lenient, even though he was the one directly affected. Tohma, however, pulls back and lets her fall sometime after Leo discovers the money. (Seriously, don't double-cross him.)

It's not your usual master-servant dynamic. He just wants you close to him. As close as possible. He really is rather sweet.

Jin makes a kind of sad face when he says it won't last forever. well, as sad as he can manage.

He knows that once your curse is broken you'll probably go back to your ordinary life. If your curse can't be broken you'll die. And if you, for some reason, continue to stay at Darkwick even after being cured, he'll be a fourth year next year--he's gonna go off to do field work. Eventually he'll work in the highest levels of the Institute and eventually he'll take his father's place as the president. With all of this, there's no way you'll be able to be together, no matter what. This is a short lived burst of happiness and attachment for him. It means a lot more to him than you realize.

see how this is worded differently from when he asks you to stay over because 'your house is too far away'? even when he's trying to be sweet to you, as long as he maintains your power imbalance he feels comfortable--he has something over you here--but trying to lay his feelings bare, just saying 'i want you to stay with me', that's so much more than he's used to saying.

You have finished all of your classes for the day and was sitting outside in the courtyard of the school. The gentle breeze brushing through your hair. The warm sunshine beaming on your face. You sat with your eyes closed as you soak in the sun. Your legs spread out in front of you as you leaned back on your two hands. A small gentle tune fills the peaceful air as you hum the song, “The Wreckage,” by Alex G.

You don’t normally hum or sing out in public, but there wasn’t many students nearby. So what people don’t know wouldn’t hurt. Right?

Well little did you know. A tall sweet handsome man, just so happens to be walking in the courtyard. The sweet melody had caught his attention. So he followed the sound. There he sees you, bathing in the warm sun. He was captivated by the beauty he was seeing. He slowly walks up to you and sits next to you.

“My dear sweet doll, what song are you humming to?” You pause to tell him what song it is.

“What a beautiful voice you have! Please May I hear more? Maybe actually sing it?” He pleaded, you were a bit hesitant. But you started to sing. Once more you closed your eyes. Only this time, you were actually singing.

He loved it, the song choice. Your sweet voice. All of it. It makes him feel relaxed and happy. It even inspired him to make another song himself.

Maybe this time, he’ll sing to you instead.

Lyca:

You came over to the bar to help Rui and Lyca. It was closing time and you and Lyca were almost finished. Once you both were finished with the clean up. You walked Lyca back to his dorm. While on your way to the dorm. You started to hum. The night was a bit chilly, but calm.

Lyca didn’t have much to talk about so he stayed quiet. Once you started to hum the song, “Wars of hearts,” by Ruelle. “ It had caught his attention. Not because you were awful. He was just simply curious. He stays quiet but fully paying attention to your voice. Soon as you reached his dorm. He stops at the door and turns to face you.

“Oi, what was that sound you were making?” He had asked

“Sound? What sound?” You hadn’t realized you were humming while walking.

“The sound you were making with your mouth while walking.”

“Ohhh, humming! Sorry didn’t realize I was doing that. I sometimes hum a song when I’m bored or something.”

“Song? Can you do, whatever you are doing, for me?” He had ask a little quieter than his normal tone. He wanted to know the words of the song. He wanted to hear the words from your lips. You had smiled at him and nodded your head.

He laid down on his bed and hugs his blanket. Once you started to sing, he paid close attention.

That was until your voice had lulled him into a peaceful slumber.

Rui:

You were a bit shaken up from the mission you had went on with Rui. Things had gotten a bit out of hand and it shook you to the core. While the anomaly had grabbed you and another girl. You were now trapped inside its belly. Afraid and slightly hurt by the acid on your leg. You had begun to sing your favorite song to calm your nerves. It was a song you loved since childhood. You parents would often sing this to you when you were scared or crying.

So as you held onto the girl you have tried to save. You began to sing, the song of your choice was, “I won’t,” by Alex G. With Lyca’s strong senses and abilities as a werewolf. He and Rui was able to find you both quickly. Your voice had helped him too. Once arriving in front of the anomaly. Rui hears a small voice within. The sound of your singing had made his heart flutter.

Lyca cuts through and pulls you both out. You were relieved, but hoped that they didn’t hear your singing. Lyca had heard you sing before. But it was Rui you were thinking about. After the mission ended, you all headed home. Rui brought up the song he heard you sing. He showered you with compliments about it and asked your to sing at his bar.

You denied the offer, but he hopes that he’ll hear you sing again.

Alan:

You were at Vagastrom waiting on Alan to finish working on the cars. You were sitting on the couch. It was just the two of you. So as you were scrolling through your phone. You were listening to music. Singing softly, you were sing a pop version of, “I won’t say (I’m in love), a!ka verison.

Alan was listening to you sing the words. It confused him a little bit at first, but continued to work on the car. He finds your voice soothing, much different than the music Leo or someone else would blast. Your voice was soft and gentle. Yet it was beautiful to him. It helps him relax and focus, rather than worry about other things at the moment.

The more you came over and it was just the two of you. He would hope that you sing to him. He’s a bit shy to ask, but he does tell you. That you have an amazing voice. This gives you the comfort to sing or hum around him. He would sometimes stop working and just rest. If you were to stop singing when someone comes in the room. He wouldn’t push it.

You even realize that he held a small smile as you sang to him.

Tohma:

Tohma and Jin has asked you clean around. A bit irritated, you do it anyways. You were heading to the laundry room to wash Jin's clothes. You had your earbuds in while listening to music. While walking down the hall. You were singing the song, “Please please please, by Sabrina Carpenter.”

Tohma was walking down the hall when he hears you singing. Stopping at the door. While your back was turned as you placed the clothes in the washer. He listens to you, he held a smile as he watches you bob your head side to side to the music.

After you started the washer you turned around to see Tohma. You screamed and softly laughed in embarrassment.

“How long have you been there?” You’ve asked.

“Hmm only a few seconds.”Embarrassed, you couldn’t met his gaze.

“You have a lovely voice MC. I do hope to hear it again. Though I’m afraid I have matters to attend.” He simply bowed and walked away leaving you with your face red as a tomato.

“The things he makes me feel.”

Little did MC know, Tohma was now humming to the song he heard you singing too.

You were hanging out with Towa for the day. He had been patiently waiting to hangout and play with him. So to make it up to him. You decide to spend the entire day with just him. Both of you were cuddling under a tall tress as you talked about anything.

As a quiet moment takes over. It was peaceful and relaxing. Towa now moved to lay his head on your lap.

“Dandelion, sing me a song.”

“A song? Why would you want me to sing?” He had explain briefly that you once song Peekaboo a song to put him asleep. So now he wants you to sing for him. He pouts as he explains.

It was true, a week ago. You had helped Haru feed Peekaboo as he went to attend the other animals. Peekaboo, soon after he ate, didn’t want to be put down. So you rocked him to sleep as you sang to him. Towa was in the room and felt a little jealous. So now that he has you all to himself. He wanted to be spoiled too.

So then you began to think of a song. You had started to sing, “Waves, by Paige.” This made him incredibly happy. He quickly stands up and pulls you up to dance with him.

With pure laughter and smiles. You both dance around.

At a far distance was Ren and Haru with Peekaboo.

“They look like having fun.”

“ugh.”

I can't stop thinking about Frosty King Jin being paired with a Court Jester Type reader. It'd be a train wreck from start to finish, but it would be such a good enemies to lovers tropeline.

☆The Fool!Reader would be charming and clever and all-around mischievous and playful, and Jin would hate it, so much. But just like in history, Court Fools play an important role that isn't easily replaced. They'd give advice, make suggestions, and offer criticism, entirely unprompted and all via quips, but it's sound advice.

☆Reader would likely have to be a student or ghoul in frostheim to make it work. But they'd find Jin pompous and insufferable and entirely too fun to provoke. Eventually, they actually do start to respect him and enjoy being at his side, but they'd never be able to shake the need to push him to the limits of his anger.

☆They would be in a constant push and pull where they find each other entirely frustrating and hard to understand, but getting under each other's skin is an addicting game to both of them.

☆Jin would get a lot of pleasure by tormenting them like he does with Tohma, but I think once he pushes far enough to see the Fools' actual personality, it would become something of an obsession for him where he keeps cracking at the facade. (If I were a yandere writer, you'd all be fucked)

☆Anyway, it'd be a terribly unhealthy relationship where they both thrive on the others' obsession and have an innate need to see the other pissed the hell off and also cling to each other like they're the only star in each other's universe.

I'm gonna leave it there for now, but I actually really like this idea, so I may come back to it someday. It's also free real estate if anyone wants it; I just love a good toxic jester romance.

Alan

Really Alan isn’t too picky about his partners visually, and he’s a tall guy who doesn’t mind dating someone who’s also tall. I feel like he’d be the type to equate short=cute and tall=attractive. It also doesn’t hurt to be tall because that means you’re less small and therefore probably not as easy to harm, though regardless he will still treat you as if you’re fragile; it just helps subconsciously loosen his mental block.

Jin

Jin is another one who is tall and wouldn’t mind a tall partner, he’d just prefer you not be taller than him. Even if you are though, he’ll eventually put his reservations about it aside. Fuck society, after all; who cares if people don’t consider it “normal”? If someone has something to say about it, they can say it to his face, and let’s just say it won’t go too well for them if they’re actually bold enough to.

Haru

Ok look. I am pro sub Haru. I think a tall woman would easily have him weak in the knees. He finds it so attractive and too often catches himself thinking about you having him pinned to a wall. He would be a SIMP. Please step on him. If he has to climb you like a tree he will gladly do so. He often acts up and gets cheeky with you as a way of subtly begging you to put him in his place.

Zenji

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Zenji genuinely thinks everyone is beautiful in their own way! I don’t think he’d necessarily want to be with someone taller than him, but luckily he’s over 6 feet tall and usually wears platform sandals, so that won’t be a problem for most people. He otherwise doesn’t mind your height at all and thinks it’s part of what makes you unique! He enjoys waking up next to you because both of you have long limbs and you'll often end up tangled together cuddling.

Jiro

Like his brother, he is quite tall. He doesn’t view people the same way his brother does, but he would also date someone tall, though he wouldn’t care in the least if you happened to be taller than him. He doesn’t care about or think in terms of social norms, so he doesn’t think the height of a potential partner should matter, unless for some reason you’re trying to have children of a certain height. In fact, for Jiro, if you’re taller than average he’d probably take more interest in you because you stand out as compared to other girls he studies.

Sho

This man is another who finds tall women attractive. He’s fairly tall himself and loves the idea of having a tall partner, like the couples in the media who are both tall and hot. It doesn’t at all detriment his ego to be with someone his height or taller, even if Leo makes snide remarks about it. He likes to show off, and for him if you were around his height or taller it would be a point of pride that he was able to bag you since most women seem to like men who are taller than them.

Iffy about it/it depends: Lyca, Kaito, Tohma, Leo

Lyca

Social norms don't affect Lyca. In fact, a bigger mate might be beneficial because size usually equals strength, right? That being said, though, it might take a while to get to the point of being with him because girls make him nervous, and you being tall would make you seem a little more intimidating to him.

Kaito

Surface level, Kaito is very subscribed to what other people think and what the media says is cool and right. He's not actively into tall girls, especially since he's not very tall himself. However, if you start giving him attention, it won't take much to get him thinking about you and he'll quickly become more like Haru, practically begging for you to do whatever you want to him.

Tohma

Tohma doesn't really have too much of a preference either way. He'd prefer you to be at least a tiny bit shorter than him, but otherwise, he doesn't think it's much of a sensible concern. Height isn't a trait that makes someone a good partner.

Leo

Leo would prefer for a female partner to be shorter than him in most occasions. He thinks it's a better aesthetic, plus he could tease her about being short and put his arm on her head like an armrest. But just maybe you could convince him to date a tall girl. He's cuddly, so if you let him cuddle into your side and put your arms around him he'll enjoy it. Also if he gives it some thought, he might decide it would actually be beneficial to date a tall girl. It's outside the norm, so it would inevitably get people talking, and any attention is good attention in Leo's opinion.

Doesn't like it: Towa, Romeo

The only two I can imagine just not liking it are Towa and Romeo, and even they could be convinced if you can get past their initial distaste.

Towa

Towa wouldn't like the idea of a girl taller than him. It doesn't fit into his traditional understanding of romance, and he likes when girls seem small and weaker as compared to him, he thinks it's cute. He's an affectionate person, so if you can convince him to like you as a friend first it could go somewhere anyway despite him initially not seeing you as "suitable".

Romeo

Romeo is a bit too shallow and a bit too invested in appearances and societal expectations to even consider dating a woman his height or taller. If you somehow manage to endear yourself to him, you may be able to change his mind, but it'll take a lot of time and effort, so good luck.

Jin loves cuddles, like really really loves cuddling. 

He loves to lay his head in your lap

Though he also loves spooning and draping himself on you as well. 

He often calls you to Frosthelm so you can be his pillow. 

He doesn't really care if someone walks in while you're cuddling. Tohma having done so once, which leads him to mildly tease you about it. 

You entered into the doors of Jin’s room. He sat on his bed with his eyes closed. They opened when you approached him. 

“You said you needed me today. How can I help?” 

He didn’t answer and just stared at you expectantly. You took this as a sign to sit down on his bed. Jin placed his head in your lap, and you ran your fingers through his hair. He nuzzled into your stomach.

"He’s just like a cat," you thought.

Luca loves cuddling after training and studying.

He loves pulling you against his chest and engulfing you in his warmth.

When you cuddle, he rambles about his day and gives you kisses on your head. 

His hold on you is tight, so you may have a hard time getting out.

He sleeps in with you on weekends.

You woke up to Luca playing with your hair. When you opened your eyes you saw that he was looking at you. He was grinning and watching you in adoration.

“Good morning,” he greeted, pulling you tighter into his chest.

“Good morning Luca,” you say, your voice muffled. 

You sit in silence with Luca holding you. He places a kiss on the top of your head.

“Let's go get breakfast.”

Alan is scared to hold you at first.

It takes a lot of hugs on your part, and a lot of convincing to get him to hold you. 

He found that he was most comfortable with having you lay on top of him. 

He loves how he can see your face as you hug each other. He also can kiss you in this position as well. 

He often times watches you sleep on him

You pressed into Alan’s chest as you watched him fiddle with his phone. You had been teaching him how to use it, and while it was a slow process it was worth it.

“Do you need some help, Honey?” You asked. 

Alan looked at you and reluctantly nodded, and offered his phone to you. He'd been trying to find the chat message to send Leo a message. 

“Here's how you do it.”

You showed him how to do it. He smiled and gave you a peck on the lips.

“Thank you, Love”

Ren doesn’t want to cuddle in the beginning of your relationship.

He finally relents to cuddling with you, and he loves it. He hates that he likes it though.

He wants to have a hand free so he can play his games, or scroll through social media. He uses one of his arms as your pillow, so you can curl into his side.

You both cuddle and play video games together.

“Is this how you do it?” You asked, playing Ren’s favorite game. You were hugging his sides and playing on your phone.

“Yep and then you do-” you had curled up closer to Ren which caused him to pause in the middle of his sentence.

“Ren?” You asked, looking up at him. He was blushing.

“Aww. Ren you’re blushing” Ren tsked

“Shut up.” The door to Ren’s room swung open.

“Hey Ren, can you feed the- Woah” Haru exclaimed when he saw you two cuddling.

“Awww-”

“Get out.”
