On Wednesday, Anjaneyulu went to his relative Maisayya's house in Dayanand Nagar in Suraram under Dundigal police station limits. At around 12.15am on Thursday, Maisayya's son, Gangulu, called Jyothy alleging that Anjaneyulu was responsible for his mother's death and he ended up in a fist fight with Anjaneyulu during an argument. "Gangulu's mother died three months ago due to unknown reasons at a relative's house. As she died shortly after meeting Anjaneyulu, Gangulu and his family suspected Anjaneyulu might have done something to her and they bore a grudge against him," Dundigal inspector P Ramana Reddy said. When Gangulu threatened to teach Anjaneyulu a lesson, the latter's family warned him not to harm the former. A little later Gangulu again called Jyothy and informed that he broke the hands, legs and teeth of Anjaneyulu. At 1.40am, Gangulu's friend Shiva called Jyothy and said that Anjaneyylu was killed.
