Christiaan Huygens kimdir?
Christiaan Huygens kimdir? Clocks and Metronomes in Hannibal
``Hannibal counted the beats of the metronome against those of the clock. They went in and out of phase``
?????? Clocks???! speaking of this, I found out something really cool. I was researching trying to find some kind of connection or UN-connection between clocks and metronomes and what they might mean here, and I found this very interesting journal, which references and builds off of some of Christiaan Huygens' discoveries and work.
Let's list out a couple of things:
Arguably, Hannibal's favorite book is Treatise of Light, by none other than Christiaan Huygens.
``Among Mr. Jakov’s books was a copy bound in leather of Christiaan Huyghens’ Treatise on Light, and Hannibal was fascinated with it, with following the movement of Huyghens’ mind, feeling him moving toward discovery. He associated the Treatise on Light with the glare of the snow and the rainbow distortions in the old windowpanes. The elegance of Huyghens’ thought was like the clean and simplified lines of winter, the structure under the leaves. A box opening with a click and inside, a principle that works every time. It was a dependable thrill, and he had been feeling it since he could read.``
I skimmed a bit of the book- and it does include an explanations of the calculations Hannibal used to determine the height of the towers in his castle- which he was doing before he read the book. Bro is a literal genius.
``Also in the year Hannibal was six, Count Lecter found his son determining the height of the castle towers by the length of their shadows, following instructions which he said came directly from Euclid himself. Count Lecter improved his tutors thenwithin six weeks arrived Mr. Jakov, a penniless scholar from Leipzig.``
The journal I previously mentioned is, in very simple terms, about how pendulums and clocks synchronize. We can very reliably assume Hannibal is a fan of Christiaan Huygens, it’s very possible he could later have read Horologium oscillatorium, where he discusses these discoveries. Unfortunately, I can not dig too deep into the original text because the only copy I could find is in Latin, and I really don’t want to translate all that. But I CAN use the information provided in the journal. It’s also reasonable to assume Hannibal would know a lot of the information presented in the journal, because although Christiaan Huygens’ books are from the 1600s, Hannibal is not, and discoveries have been made! Science has advanced! Yippee!
In the journal, It is stated that “Synchronization occurs in diverse physical, biological, and chemical systems. Examples include the synchronous flashing of fireflies, the chorusing of crickets, the rhythmic applause of concert audiences, the coordinated beating of cardiac pacemaker cells, the pathological neural synchrony associated with epileptic seizures, and the coherent voltage oscillations of superconducting Josephson junction arrays.”
It all sounds very artistic. It is beautiful and connected. Right up Hannibal's alley, for sure. But- whats that near the end?? “ the pathological neural synchrony associated with epileptic seizures”. Epileptic seizures. Let’s put that away for later.
The synchronisation of pendulums (pendulum clocks, metronomes) placed on the same (wooden) surface even if started at antiphase will eventually become in phase with eachother BUT: synchonizing in phase causes the pendulums in the clocks to slow down, so they lose time (multiple seconds an hour) but- they way they synchronize is dependent on several things(mechanisms in the clock, length and thickness of the surface they're on,etc etc.) but basically- with a SMALL amount of damping (loss of energy in an oscillating system) the clocks with synchronize in phase, with a large amount of it they will be antiphase. clocks synchronizing in antiphase has been called sympathetic motion or the sympathy of clocks (not empathy).
Synchronization in itself is a pretty artistic thing, beautiful and connected. It shows up everywhere- including something called neural synchrony. neural synchrony is basically when two people interact or communicate, their brain rythms/waves synchronize, couple, create matching patterns. You understand eachother. this is seen a lot more in romantic couples or people who are close together, child-parent relationships(especially as infants) and the such. Not usually seen in strangers. the brain to brain synchronization happens in the temporal-parietal part of the brain. The way will makes himself think like killers- to the point sometimes he feels like he becomes them- is definitely neural synchrony. Why he can do that so easily with strangers, who may have never even met? Who knows; but at least we know all kills leave behind a part of the killer, a part of their psyche, and not always just a message. Basically, Will's whole metronome thing is symbolic of him synchronizing mentally(and neurologically! Very cool) with the killers. This may have been way too much work for something that is a bit obvious, but it’s very interesting to unravel.
I’m not sure how I started with picking apart clocks and metronomes in relation to Hannibal (in the book), and ended up with a conclusion about Will (in the show), but I did! I can’t say much more on this for now as I haven’t finished the book, and Will has yet to show up.
Now, that thing we put away for later.
Neural synchrony is also associated with epileptic seizures. Neuron firing tends to become synchronous/hypersynchronous in the middle of a seizure.
I wanted to go more into Will's encephalitis and seizures related to this- but those are only a thing in the TV show, so I cant connect it quite as well. I can share the things I did find out, though, so if anyone is interested to see that please let me know! But right now, I'm too researched out to put it all together, and that's mainly why I'm not including it here now. All in all- we all know Hannibal knows all that psychiatry stuff and is crazy smart and crazy insane, so here is a bit of the science of it and how it all loosely connects to the books. And, of course as someone who values beauty and art, he would become obsessed with Will upon seeing how effortlessly he can achieve that synchronicity with others- especially those who think similarly to him. Honorable mention to Eldon Stammets.

DOGU ve BATI
bkmkitap.com/hata-neredeydi-448941 Eşitsizlik kademeli şekilde katlanarak ortaya çıktı. On sekizinci yüzyılın sonlarına gelindiğinde, İstanbul’daki saatçiler on yedinci yüzyılın başlarındaki Avrupa’da yapılan türde duvar ve cep saatleri ancak üretebiliyorlardı. Yollar Ayrılırken, 164 When a society shows vitality it does so at all levels, not only the economic, and it succeeds better than other societies which seemingly have the same amounts of resources at their disposal. It is not by chance that, when Italian merchants greatly contributed to European Economic development, Dante was writing the Divine Comedy, Giotto was introducing innovations in painting, ans St. Francis was starting his religious movement. In the seventeenth century, when the Low Countries became the prime movers in international trade while producing great entreprneurs and merchants such as De Geer or the Tripps, they also produced jurists like Grotius, experimentalists such as Huyghens and Leeuwenhock, and painters such as Rembrand…In order to understand what happened in certain societies, it is necessary to understand an atmosphere of collective enthusiasm, of exaltation and cooperation. When one admires certain exquisite Works of art by humble craftsmen of the past, knowing how inadequate the economic incentives were, one can not but conclude that intangible and nonmeasurable factors, such as the creative urge, love of one’s work, pride in one’s own ability and self-respect, where they exist, make miracles possible; and that the absence of these factors depresses production both quantitatively and qualitatively. Ticaret&Üretim ihtiyacı/talep)+Kişisel DEĞER DUYGUSU ve SAYGINLIK(arz) The guilds played a more important role in giving their members a feeling of political IMPORTANCE, a socio-political BARGAINING power and social STATUS that as individuals they most certainly did NOT enjoy in the FEUDAL WORLD. Eyeglasses: And yet the invention of spectatles more than DOUBLED the WORKING LIFE of SKILLED CRAFTSMEN, especially those who did fine jobs: scribes (crucial before the invention of printing) and readers, instrument and tool makers Wealth and Poverty Of Nations, David Landes Muslims were concerned to know the time, if only for religious reasons, and they loved to build highly animated WATER clocks... Muslim clockmakers had little trouble with cloudy skies or freezing temperatures, hence they had little incentive to invent a new technology of time The clock did not create an interest in time measurement; the interest in time measurement led to the invention of the clock. Islam calls for five daily prayers... Moreover, in Islam as in Judaism the times of prayer are BANDS rather than POINTS. Christians differ from both.
Why was PUNCTUALITY so IMPORTANT? One reason was that lateness-"God forbid"-might make it necessary to abridge an office, in particular matins: "Let great care be taken that this shall not happen". Another,I think was that simultaneity was thought to enhance the potency of prayer The new cities and towns had their TEMPORAL servitudes. Squeezed by their walls, they had to know and order TIME in order to organize collective activity and ration space. They set a time to wake, go to work, open the market, close the market, leave work and to put out fires.
Seen ontologically and functionally, these timekeeping began as automated BELLS. Monastries were bee-hives of varied activity, the largest productive enterprise of medieval Europe... They lived and worked to bells. The big bells tolled the canonical hours and the major changes. And the little bells tinkled insistently throughout the offices and meals, calling the participitants to attention and signaling the start of a new prayer ceremony, or activity. Revolution In Time, Landes New sources of demand: Numerous courts and rapidly growing urban centers... In textile industry the definition of working time was crucial to the PROFITABILITY of enterprise and prosperity of the commune. The textile industry was the first to engage in large-scale production for EXPORT, and hence engage a DISPERSED WORK FORCE. Revolution In Time, David Landes 4. As early as the first decades of the 14th century Europeans began to use cannon in warfare. Bronze is technically much easier to cast and all over Europe there were craftsmen well acquainted with the process because of the early and widespread demand for church bells. Guns, Sails, Empires, Cipolla
Bu da zincirleme sonuçlara bir örnek. Feodal Kilise ve kıt emek üretimde makine kullanımına, zaman kültürüne, ve Hristiyan ibadet özelliklerile birlikte noktasal zamana ihtiiyaç doğuruyor, yine feodal düzende yeşeren kentlere kaçan köylüler zanatkar olup saygınlık kazanıyor, artan zanaatkar tabanı nedeniyle zanaat gelişiyor, saat ihtiyacı(taleple) birlikte saat üretimi ve “yüksek” teknoloji gelişiyor. Başlangıçta kiliselerin talep ettiği büyük saatler ve çan üretiminde kullanılan bronz alaşımüretim bilgisi yine ihracat ve ticaret sayesinde gelişen denizcilik ve gemilerde kullanılan topların yapımına aktarılıyor. Kilisenin en büyük topraklara sahip FEODAL olması, manastırların üreticiliği, emek kıtlığı, Hristiyanlıkta noktasal zamanın önemi, feodal çöldeki özgür kentler, ZANAATIN saygınlık ihtiyacını karşılaması, kent, endüstri, ticaret ve kapitalizmin gelişmesi, hepsi birbirini besliyor. From 11th century to the end of 15th, European technology moved ahead in almost every field-in agriculture as well as in the building industry, in navigation and shipbuilding, textile industry, metallurgy, carpentry, accounting, finance, transportation, production of energy and in warfare.

Photons, And All Particles, Delocalize In Flight
Abstract: That photons delocalize in flight was so obvious, Huyghens described them as waves four centuries ago. That’s reinforced both from the math of Quantum Mechanics, and traditional diffraction math. Let alone 2023 Quantum Entanglements of Pions. Time to erect bolder hypotheses to try to understand what’s really going on. *** That a photon is received as a photon, a single localized…

Fronde gravitationnelle

Beaker, Melchior Lauch, 1647-1650, Minneapolis Institute of Art: Decorative Arts, Textiles and Sculpture
cup with sides flaring very slightly outward; flat bottom; small rim at top; gilt interior and top rim; relief scenes of Mozambique on sides; one side has battle scene with nude figures fighting with bows, staffs and clubs; at right side of scene, one group of three figures and a pair of figures appear to represent aggressors attempting to cut off their opponents' genitals; other side has nude male figure wearing feathered headdress and necklace at right extending his hand to a female figure with long hair in a ponytail wearing a loincloth, accompanied by other figures; woman appears to wear a necklace of male genitals, while two figures at left pick up and carry male genitals; incised double coat of arms surmounted by a crown and palm tree separates two scenes; long engraved inscription on underside This beaker depicts the battles and warfare of different tribes in Mozambique, as described and imagined by the Dutch merchant Jan Huyghen van Linschoten (1563-1611), who had lived in Goa, India, for six years, and wrote an influential account of his travels through Africa and India. It was made in Leipzig, Germany, which was a center of trade, based on engravings in Jan Huyghen’s book. Such depictions of exotic peoples in faraway places were not always accurate. Here a Mozambiquian chief is pictured as a Native American. Size: 5 1/2 × 4 7/8 × 4 7/8 in. (14 × 12.38 × 12.38 cm) Medium: Silver, gilt

It is true that he became increasingly aware of the size of the task that lay before the new science, and lost some of his early optimism, particularly with regard to his favoured project of applying medical science, based on physics, to slow down aging. He told Huyghens in January 1638 that he hoped to live for more than a hundred years; in June 1639, when he was forty-three, he expressed, again to Huyghens, the hope of living another thirty years; seven years later he wrote to Chanut: “...so that instead of trying to find means to preserve life, I have found another way, much easier and more certain, which is not to fear death.”

Mitä tapahtui abduktiotutkija Rima Laibowille?
Mitä tapahtui abduktiotutkija Rima Laibowille?
Kirjoittanut Keith Basterfield
Australia
Lisäksi vuonna 1988 loka-joulukuun ”Quarterly reportin” numero Fund for UFO Research -julkaisusta raportoi:
”Rahastolle on lähetetty useita muita abduktiotutkimusprojektiehdotelmia. …Tri. Rima Laibow on ehdottanut ”abduktiokriisikeskuksen” perustamista, jossa kuuma linja vastaisi emotionaalisesti omista kokemuksistaan häiriintyneiden puheluihin.
Toukokuu 1989
TREAT 1 -konferenssi, ”Treatment and Research of Experienced Anomalous Trauma”, pidettiin Fairfield Universityssa Fairfieldissa, CT.
Järjestäjä on tri.
(Vallee, Jacques. ”Forbidden Science: Volume Three.” p.428.)
16. marraskuuta 1989
”Tri.
(Vallee, Jacques. ”Forbidden Science: Volume Three.” p.465.)
Tammikuu 1990
TREAT II -konferenssi pidettiin Blacksburgissa, Virginiassa.
(Vallee, Jacques. ”Forbidden Science: Volume Four.” p.20.)
Heinäkuu 1990
Laibow esitti julkaisun ”Experienced Anomalous Trauma New Directions” heinäkuun 1990 MUFON International Symposiumissa, joka pidettiin Pensacolassa, Floridassa.
6. elokuuta 1990
”Tri.
(Vallee, Jacques. ”Forbidden Science: Volume Four.” pp. 56-57.)
8. elokuuta 1990
(Vallee, Jacques. ”Forbidden Science: Volume Four.” p.58.)
Maaliskuu 1991
TREAT III -konferenssi pidettiin Kansas Cityssa 7.-10. maaliskuuta 1991, jonka Laibow oli järjestänyt. Konferenssin esitysten pöytäkirjoja editoi Rima Laibow ja Robert N. Sollod.
10. huhtikuuta 1991
”Rima Laibow etsii jotakuta vetämään uutta UFO-tutkimusprojektia.
1992
TREAT IV -konferenssi pidettiin 12. huhtikuuta 1992 Decaturissa, Georgiassa. Rima Laibow. Siellä raportoitiin olleen 75 osanottajaa.
Laibow, Rima E., Sollod, Robert N. & Wilson, John P. (eds) ”Anomalous Experience & Trauma: Current Theoretical, Research and Clinical Perspectives” oli Center for Treatment and Research of Experienced Anomalous Trauman julkaisun otsikko (Dobbs Ferry, New York). 320 sivua oli jattu kolmeen osioon; teoreettisiin ja konseptuaalisiin aiheisiin; tutkimusnäyttöön ja metodikuvaukseen; sekä kliiniseen interventioon ja hoitomuotojen käsittelyyn. Paperit olivat sekä kliinisiltä että UFO-tutkijoilta.
12 elokuuta 1992
”Gueymard kertoi meille hauskan anekdootin kenraali Stubblebinesta ja Rima Laibowista joka kävi Ranskassa tuoreeltaan. Pierre ei kertonut hänelle paljoakaan. Laibow hoiti häitisesti hypnoottisen session hänen kanssaan, koska hänen oli mentävä shoppailemaan mustia sukkanauhavöitä: ”Kenraali pitää näistä!”
(Vallee, Jacques. ”Forbidden Science: Volume Four.” pp130-131.)
TREAT V -konferenssi pidettiin myös Decaturissa, Georgiassa.
1993
Laibow kirjoitti kappaleen posttraumaattista stressioireyhtymää käsitelleeseen kirjaan. Kappaleen tiivistelmässä sanottiin:
”Koettu anomaalinen trauma (Experienced Anomalous Trauma, EAT) näkyy potilailla, joilla on stressiresponssitrauma mutta ei suoraan identifioitavaa traumaattista tapahtumaa huolimatta huolellisista tutkimuksista. Näillä potilailla on usein posttraumaattista stressioireyhtymää (Posttraumatic stress disorder, PTSD).

TREAT VI -konferenssi, ”Treatment and Research of Experienced Anomalous Trauma” pidettiin Santa Fessa, New Mexicossa.
1994
TREAT VII -konferenssi, ”Treatment and Research on Experienced Anomalous Trauma” pidettiin Virginia Beachissa, Virginiassa.
1994-2002
Hänen vuonna 2004 julkaistun CV:nsä mukaan, vuosina 1994-2002 Laibow kirjoitti useita tieteellisiä julkaisuja yhdessä seuraavien kirjoittajien kanssa: N. Bounias; A Stubblebine; H. Sanderound ja M. Bonaly, koskien heidän tutkimuksiaan biotakaisinkytkennästä. Esimerkki löytyy mm. täältä. Vuonna 1998 Laibow, Stubblebine ja Bounias julkaisivat paperin ”From Lethality to Neuropsychotoxicology: A Major Paradigm Shift in Toxicology”, J. Environ. Biol. 19(3):221-229.
2004
Tri. Rima Laibow meni naimisiin kenraalimajuri Albert N. Stubblebinen kanssa (evp) vuonna 1994 tapailtuaan jo 1980- ja 1990-luvuilla. Pariskunta perusti National Solutions Foundationin vuonna 2004.

Joulukuu 2008
DVD julkaistiin ostikolla ”UFO Abductions and the Government cover up”, jossa on mukana mm. tri. Laibow sekä C.B. Scott Jones.
2014
Ebola-epidemian kiihtyessä Länsi-Afrikassa esitettiin monia väitteitä ”lääkkeistä” tähän sairauteen. Yksi näistä oli tri. Laibowin myymä ”Nano-Silver”.
Verkkoartikkelissa päivämäärällä 14. elokuuta 2014 otsikolla ”The Controversial woman behind Nano Silver, the new ”Ebola drug’ being tried in Nigeria”, kirjoittaja Chidi Chima toteaa:
