unlike his brother, he likes you a lot more than if you were to have Toph's personality

because you remind him of his mother

he doesn't mind your protective nature as long as you don't get in the way

your 'blood bending' technique is of great interest to him..

you are able to use it on normal days and don't have to wait for a full moon because this is my fanfic and I said so

it just happens to be at it's strongest on full moons

he probs starts keeping track of the moon cycles just to take you on missions and see you in action

with the blood bending technique you could literally stop any enemy

a very OP ability indeed....

which is why he keeps you around

you're strong and have a pretty normal personality so there's really no reason for him to dislike you

The Phantom Troupe

it's pretty 50/50 with them

and by that I mean some of them don't mind your motherly personality while others think it's annoying...

mainly Phinks and Feitan; they feel you're too bossy

but the entire troupe can agree that your nen is impressive

1) they have a healer now and 2) your blood-bending is some sort of secret weapon

you get along well with Nobunaga, bonding over your shared soft spot for children

Chrollo probs personally recruited you for your abilities seeing as he couldn't really steal them..

Machi likes having you around because now she has to stitch people up less often

when Kalluto joins, he becomes the one you're most protective over

01. Chrollo

Chrollo sat on the couch, his head thrown back over the edge and throat on full display. His eyes were closed, and his legs were spread wide. Tonight, he dressed in loose black slacks with his tie undone around his button-down. His fingers danced in the air as if he were conducting a concerto as he listened to the classical music playing from the radio on top of the stool in the corner.

“How’s that file coming, Shal?” Chrollo suddenly asked. The blonde on the other side of the room pauses his typing at his boss’ sudden voice before leaning his head back in his chair.

“Almost ready!” Shalnark called in his usual chirpy voice.

Chrollo hummed in response, going back to his music. Shalnark waited, whispering “c’mon” repeatedly under his breath impatiently for the loading bar on the screen to finish. Finally, a popup appeared that said complete.

“Boss, it’s done.” 

Chrollo slowly opened his eyes, his gaze focused on the ceiling as gravity made his hair hang behind him. He slowly sat up straight, stretching his limbs as he rose from the loveseat’s cushions. He walked towards Shalnark, sticking one hand in his pocket as the other rubbed the back of his neck to relieve the tension built there.

“What did you find?” He asked as he came behind Shalnark, leaning his head down with excited eyes to see the computer screen. Shalnark started typing rapidly before a profile popped up.

“Let’s see, her file says that she got in this morning and is currently staying at the Hunter's hotel. She has a party scheduled in a few hours that she’s hosting ⎯ It’s to celebrate the launch of her latest fashion line.”

“Think I can make it?” Chrollo asked while briefly glancing at him, and Shalnark tapped his chin while trailing his eyes to the side.

“Well, it is on the other side of town, plus it’s a fancy event meaning you’d have to dress appropriately, and there's bound to be a lot of people there since she’s pretty popular. So in conclusion, I’d say it’s possible, you might have to break the speed limit though.”

“I believe I can manage that.” Chrollo nodded with a smirk, lazily stretching his arms in front of him as he clasped his hands together.

“I also should mention that it’s invite only, so you may have to steal someone’s identity to get in.”

Chrollo yawned in disinterest. “Can you print me an ID real fast for a guest?”

Shalnark nodded. “Yeah, just give me a minute.”

Chrollo was always fascinated with Shalnark’s skills. And he watched with humorous eyes at how easy it was to get his hands on an ID that did not belong to him.

“Alright, here you go.” Shalnark handed him the plastic card and Chrollo thanked him.

“Well, I’ll be on my way,” Chrollo said, saluting as he walked out of the motel room he was in. 

“Good luck!” Shalnark shouted as Chrollo left, but he didn’t need to wish it because Chrollo always got what he wanted, and he currently had his eyes set on you.

Shalnark was right about there being a lot of people here tonight. 

Chrollo whistled under his breath as he made his way into the hotel’s foyer. The guests all looked to be pretentious snobs showcasing phony smiles. Chrollo humorously upturned his lips to fit into the crowd around him. What Shalnark forgot to mention was that it was a masquerade party that was being hosted tonight. Chrollo's eyes were covered in a black, studded design and his hand twirled the stick it was attached to between his fingertips.

“Vincent Yoshino.” Chrollo read the fake name on the ID out loud, raising his eyebrow in consideration with a head tilt. “Has a nice ring to it, I suppose.”

He walked further into the building, taking note of how the people were mingling. He checked his watch, 5 more minutes until the party began. He could take this opportunity to quickly scope out the layout of the first floor, maybe he’d go right now while he still had time to spare. As Chrollo reasoned with his thoughts, he was unaware of the Louboutins that were marching in his direction.

“Hello, handsome.” 

Chrollo paused, glancing beside him to see a tall woman. She had tanned skin, a flawless bob, and blinding crimson lipstick. The dress she wore was nice as well, hugging her figure as she walked closer to Chrollo.

“Good evening.” Chrollo politely responded, nodding his head with a grin.

“Haven’t seen you here before,” She drawled, giving him a once over with a smirk. “Would’ve remembered a catch such as you.”

Chrollo chuckled, mentally wishing that this woman would find someone else to bother.

“Well, I typically don’t like showing my face at large events. I am not a fan of socializing with others, you see.”

Take the hint, Chrollo thought to himself tiredly.

The woman eyed him ravenously before extending her hand.

“My name is Chiyo Hano, but everyone calls me Chi-Chi.” She said and Chrollo remembered reading her file on his way here as well. She was a very famous model, known for her sculpted face. 

Chrollo grabbed her hand, shaking it softly. “Vincent Yoshino, nice to meet you.”

The party was beginning to start, and Chrollo took that as his chance to slip away. He walked in, and he saw you standing above the banister, smiling largely while waving at your incoming guests.

Chrollo smirked and effortlessly grabbed a drink from the waiter's platter as he passed him.

↪he's the leader of the phantom troupe, if he wasn't desensitized to the sigjt of blood that would be a bit weird. it would practically be a daily occurrence for him to see some sort of blood and nowadays it wasn't his own.

↪therefore he wouldn't exactly be able to understand why you felt disgusted at the sight of it. he would make snarl and teasing comments about it to start with but after seeing how much it actually revolted you, he'd tone it down a little bit.

↪although he would be surprisingly understanding, always trying his hardest to just help you avoid the sight. especially if it was your own.

↪surprisingly gentle with how he focused your attention elsewhere and away from any blood that would very easily make you want to retch.

↪as the phantom troupes interrogator, he is extremely proficient in torture methods and so he regularly sees blood - that and he's a criminal. so he really sees no issue with blood, his or someone else's he doesn't care.

↪so if you are the type to be disgusted by the sight of blood you better hope that he keeps up with cleaning any blood of himself before he sees you - more for his sake of not being told off by you.

↪he wouldn't understand why you were disgusted by the sight of blood - you'd have to tell him ten times over that he was just too desensitized. but he could eventually try and see where you were coming from - try.

↪the most he would ever do to help you avoid the sight of blood is to distract you snd hold back a snarly comment about how it was 'only blood'. but he knew you wouldn't appreciate that.

Some times I think that chrollo genuinely despises the reader.

He goes out of his way to kidnapp them, lock them up and get ride of every single trait that made them lovable while knowing damn well they will be in pain and instinctively get ride of theis traits themselfs so he doesn't attack them.

They will probably hate him for life, loose their minds, get sick or just kill them self but he doesn't care 'cause that's what he inconsciously wants. To get ride of them and the things they make him feel.

Reader brings up his more human side the side he buried. That wounded child's cries that he thought he silenced a long time ago are back and now they are crying for reader. So automatically he needs to get ride of the cries he needs to get ride of reader.

The worst part is that he doesn't even know about his own motives so he keeps going. Stuck between wanting their love and wanting their pain 🥖 .

↪the phantom troupe weren't entirely unwise to the fact that someone from the kurta clan had slipped the net. originally they did think nothing of it but when someone that fits a similar description surfaces in the hunter exams, they became suspicious.

↪they knew that if he was a survivor, he probably would have clue on who belonged to the troupe and so they hired an outsider. you're job was simple - gain kurapika's trust to keep an eye on him and if he got too close to the truth, kill him.

↪you figured that the best starting point was to join the hunter exams and build from there. you quickly gained the trust of a few of his associates and eventually they introduced you to your target who was none the wiser to your intentions.

↪you managed to build up a friendship with kurapika that extended outside of the hunter exams. you kept in contact and eventually he started telling you about his goals and what kind of missions he was heading on - all of which was swiftly delivered back to your employer.

↪however you weren't made aware of the fact that two of kurapika's companions, gon and killua, had seen you with chrollo. it was an oversight that you ignored but now kurapika knew. no amount of excuses could get you out of the situation and so you owned up.

↪kurapika was absolutely shattered. he would never of guessed someone as genuine as you would turn out to be a big lie, to his sworn enemy no less. he could never forgive you and he now lumped you in the same category as the phatom troupe themselves.

↪chrollo took great pride in the fact that the phantom troupe was as successful as it was. he would never admit it but he did view them as somewhat of a family and therefore he would ensure they were safe.

↪so when a stranger shows direct interest in joining, he becomes suspicious. admittedly he was impressed with the skillset you possessed and could agree that it would benefit the troupe substantially but he needed to know you wouldn't betray the troupe.

↪you knew very well that chrollo was searching for a sign that you weren't right for the troupe but you would make sure he wouldn't find one. afterall, how else could you get close enough to kill him? eventually and very begrudgingly, you had been accepted into the phantom troupe.

↪it took a long time for the other spiders to even begin accepting the idea that you could be trusted. missions and meetings with other spiders became crucial in gaining enough trust that they would stop suspecting you for having other intentions.

↪and no matter how long it took, you pressed on long enough to the point that chrollo willingly started accepting you as a proper member to the troupe. even longer for him to value you the same as the rest of the spiders but once he got there, he realised how valuable and loyal you were to the group.

↪or atleast he thought so. he thought he'd be angry, furious even but even now as your knife became plunged deep into his chest he could only feel overwhelmed by sadness and hurt.

↪the phantom troupe had quite the high bounty over their head when it came to people looking for contracts and such. obviously, the more physical infiltration missiond became higher payed but you settled for a lower information retrieval job.

↪squeezing information out of a the leader himself certainly would be a tricky mission and so you opted your sights onto a different member of the troupe, specifically feitan. the de facto leader in the absence of their main leader.

↪it was still quite the challenge but much more manageable than chrollo. although maybe it did look a bit suspicious when the brand new member to the troupe actrd much more friendly to feitan than the rest from the get go.

↪you knew very well that it would take a long time to gain the trust of anyone, let alone enough for them to start talking about the information you needed to complete your missions. so you were prepared to play the long game and do so by any means necessary.

↪feitan himself was normally quite reserved unless needed not but after a very long time, you managed to get him to be slightly more friendly toward you than the restt of the spiders were. he was rather suspicious of you for quite a while but eventually that would start to dissipate.

↪in it's olace, he would start to trust you more and more - evident by the fact that he became more willing to go on missions with you and the fact that he became quite a bit more talkative than usual.

↪feitan had begun to see you as more of a friend than a coworker, very quickly however it seemed like his trust became misplaced. nobody could tell but he was absolutely seething and he swore that when the troupe caught you, you would suffer more pain than he had ever inflicted in anyone yet.
