Told you I’d put up another GSY!BE-related one. Maybe “never” is a stretch right now, but was it really only 5 or 6 years ago when I found this song? Back then, this was my “cold fall day” music. But man, its texture is almost otherworldly... The theremin-like wailing of the guitar, the accordion squeezing out the melancholy for all its worth, even the organ’s clicking adds to that.

If memory serves, this is titled after a film (I know little about it), but I can’t help but think there’s another meaning to it. “Between the sea and freshwater.” Hm, might that be one of those limnal spaces? That new aesthetic thing? Okay, I’ll shut up now.
