Aventurine wants you to think his love language is gift giving, considering he's constantly giving you gifts and doing things for you. He's a bold spender, 15,000 on a ring, 100,000 for a new, custom designed coat, and whatever other jaw-dropping amounts of credits he can spend on you, he will. It seems to anyone else that Aventurine really loves giving gifts, he showers you in presents more than anyone else- and he's a pretty big spender for anyone.

But, really, his love language is physical touch and quality time. Just having you near, being in your company, it's enough to make his heart skip a beat. Actually being able to touch you, have a hand against your shoulder- or waist- pulling you close enough that you're practically squished against him, whatever annoyingly couple-y stuff he can do, he will do so.

On the topic of Anidala as parents, I think the best and only way we’re supposed to imagine them was that they would’ve been the most loving and doting parents ever. They were so happy and excited upon the news of their pregnancy and were already making plans to raise them away from all the chaos and danger, discussing the gender, and Anakin being protective as he is would never let the Jedi take their babies way from them and of course neither would Padmé. They truly would’ve been the most wholesome family if they had the chance.

It’s really interesting to think about how when Taylor filters her experiences and emotions through characters, she and her songwriting are praised, but when she writes about herself and her experiences and doesn’t funnel them into a character she’s seen as over emotional, self-victimizing and whiny.

tbh as much as i also dislike sanitization and therapy speak in my fiction of choice, i do think it's very possible to make healthy relationships that are deeply compelling. it's just down to the skill of the writer when it comes to engaging characterization. unhealthy or generally fucked up dynamics do not always make something interesting, and by that same token, healthy doesn't always equal boring. just look at clois, or howl and sophie movingcastle (specifically book edition). it's totally possible for a positive and stable dynamic to be fascinating! the trick is that the characters generally just need to have Something Else wrong with them <3

I relate to Sanji too much because it really does seem like he’s adopted the mentality that physical and mental abuse is a form of significant affection but only directed towards himself, like he sees it’s wrong and unjust when other people are being abused, but when he’s the victim he feels this conflicted sense of I deserve it and Wow they love me so much! It’s heartbreaking just to think about tbh
