⚡ PLANET MANGA: TUTTI GLI ANNUNCI DI LUCCA COMICS & GAMES 2023

Pronti per il calendario 2024? Ecco i nuovi appuntamenti in fumetteria da gennaio a...lla prossima edizione del Lucca Comics!

Come extra di fine giornata (letteralmente visto che è mezzanotte passata ormai), eccovi anche gli annunci di casa Planet Manga, che a quanto vedrete ha già il calendario fatto fino al prossimo Lucca Comics & Games!

 Anche qua, come per Star, non ci sono grandissime sorprese fra le comunque numerose novità. In un angolino, però, potete scorgere anche un paio di chicche di cui abbiamo visto sbarcare qua in Italia le versioni animate (più una riacquisizione che avrete notato in copertina, che non so se possa stimolare più pianto o sorrisi).

Non mancano le sempre ben accette nuove edizioni, per quanto le copertine con lo stile moderno di Nihei, di cui per inciso tengo un santino in camera, per me anche no, grazie.

Review

I just read that this manga is getting an anime adaptation and I can’t wait to see these scenarios in action, I hope it is good!

This continues to be a funny quirky series about a ‘loser’ guy in a fantasy world, that still manages to be an OP chick magnet, but is so totally oblivious to that fact he keeps missing every clue and overture. I’m really enjoying the humor, but I wonder how much longer this premise can go, I have read ahead, so I do see that a more substantial story line seems likely to be developing, but he was in the magical world for 17 years before he wakes up from his coma, and we are still covering year 1-2, so... whatever, as long as I’m having fun I’ll keep reading...

Uncle from Another World Sets Summer 2022 Broadcast in 1st Trailer

  Upcoming isekai comedy series Uncle from Another World let loose at AnimeJapan 2022 today, unveiling its first trailer that gives us a preview of the anime's main cast and a Summer 2022 premiere date, plus details for both theme songs on the side:

    It was revealed that Mayu Maeshima (Full Dive OP) will perform "story" for the opening theme, while Yuka Iguchi (A Place Further Than the Universe ED) will perform "Ichibanboshi Sonority" for the ending theme.

  Based on the manga by Hotondoshindeiru, Uncle from Another World is being directed by Shigeki Kawai (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga assistant director) at studio Atelier Pontdarc, with series composition by Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil) and character designs by Kazuhiro Ota (Negima!?), who is also serving as chief animation director.

  Yen Press, who publishes the manga's official English version, describes the series as:

  ​Seventeen years ago, Takafumi’s uncle fell into a coma, but now he’s back like a man risen from his grave. Soon, Takafumi discovers two bizarre things: His uncle treasures video games above all else, and, while comatose, he was actually transported to another world as some heroic guardian! Now, not only does Takafumi have to room with an uncle who is literally magical, he also has to catch the guy up on two decades of history—smartphones, high-speed internet, modern anime tropes…and the traumatic outcome of the ’90s console war!

Summary

Takafumi’s uncle returned from an alternate fantasy world after seventeen years, and now he’s (sort of) getting the hang of the twenty-first century. From YouTubers to modern netiquette, there’s a lot to learn for a guy who lives in service of Sega games. But as Uncle recalls his memories of ax-wielding battlers and draconic forces, Takafumi keeps noticing one thing: the swooning heroines who failed to catch his romantically oblivious uncle’s attention! Can Takafumi help him get a clue, or is it too late for such a die-hard gamer?

Review

I’m continuing to really enjoy this comedic manga, I guess I like dense, oblivious characters because the levels of obtuseness of the Uncle is just so hilarious that I’m right there with Takafumi and Fujimiya as they just can’t believe how his uncle keeps misunderstanding all of the advances of the HOT girls that keep hanging around and following him around... the ridiculousness of the situations is just very funny. Part of me wishes that the manga was just the Uncle in the Isekai world still, instead of 17 years later back in the real world.

I keep wanting these girls to find a way in to our world just so they can torment Uncle more, and maybe finally get lucky with him, I mean I don’t think he ever figured it out and well, those poor girls deserve a little affection after so many years of yearning! LOL

Uncle keeps crossing paths with Elf-girl, who he continues to unintentionally lead on. We meet Alicia and her two friends Raiga and Edgar who are adventuring heroes who Uncle befriends, but then wipes their minds. Mabel also returns, seems that since she has nothing to guard anymore, the villiage has kicked her out and she has to make a living now, but she hates to work. Uncle basically rescues, gives advice, and takes care of business as an OP badass, all from utilizing lessons learned from playing Sega games!

More story does start to develop in the current timeline, we meet more characters and deal with Youtube trouble. I’m not as entertained by the modern stories, but I do wonder where it is all going - will there be a story line developing? Right now, it is more episodic with little issues cropping up, with the main plot being Fijimiya’s crush on Takafumi and learning he is nearly as oblivious as his Uncle to her feelings (feelings that his Uncle picked up right away! LOL)... but so far most of the time they are watching Uncle’s Isekai adventures, not that I’m complaining - it is a lot of fun, I would want to watch too!

AnimeJapan 2022: tutte le novità dal grande evento - Giorno 2

Secondo recap con annunci, trailer e date di uscita di tante altre serie animate in arrivo nei prossimi mesi!

Pensavate che gli aggiornamenti di ieri fossero tanti? Ecco un riassuntone ancora più ricco di novità direttamente dalla seconda giornata dell’AnimeJapan 2022.

Come anticipato nel post di ieri, quest’anno, l’evento è tornato in presenza, accogliendo gli appassionati di anime ancora una volta presso il Tokyo Big Sight, con trailer, immagini, panel e annunci per tutti i gusti.

VAMPIRE IN THE GARDEN

Mostrata finalmente in un primo trailer l’originale serie animata targata WIT STUDIO (Ranking of Kings, Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song), in arrivo globalmente in streaming su Netflix dal 16 maggio.

Oltre al trailer è stata svelata anche una nuova locandina.

GHOST IN THE SHELL SAC 2045

La seconda stagione della nuova serie animata in computer grafica, ispirata all’iconica opera cyberpunk, nata ad inizio anni ‘90 con il manga di Masamune Shirow, debutterà globalmente in streaming su Netflix dal 23 maggio.

Anche in questo caso, assieme al trailer è stata svelata anche una nuova locandina.

SPRIGGAN

Il nuovo adattamento animato, targato DAVID PRODUCTION (Le Bizzarre Avventure di JoJo, Cells at Work! Lavori in Corpo, Fire Force), del manga sci-fi scritto da Hiroshi Takashige e disegnato da Ryouji Minagawa,  sbacherà globalmente in streaming su Netflix il 18 giugno, ecco il novo trailer.

ULTRAMAN

Introdotto con un video il personaggio di Maya, un’aliena wadoran che sarà interpretata da Ayane Sakura (Gabi ne L’Attacco dei Giganti).

La seconda stagione della serie animata in computer grafica, basata sul manga di Eichi Shimizu e Tomohiro Shimoguchi (il duo dietro Linebarrels of Iron), arriverà in streaming sulla piattaforma dal 14 aprile.

L’opera è ispirata alle gesta dello storico supereroe protagonista della popolare serie tokusatsu anni ‘60 di Tsuburaya Productions e ne costituisce il seguito.

SWORD ART ONLINE PROGRESSIVE

Mostrato un prio teaser trailer per il secondo film dal titolo “Kuraki Yuyami no Scherzo” (Scherzo of a Dark Dusk), che uscirà in Giappone in autunno. 

Il primo lungometraggio, “Hoshi Naki Yoru no Aria” (Aria of a Starless Night), arriverà nei cinema italiani il 4, 5, 6 aprile.

La storia parte da un retelling del primo storico arco narrativo di Aincrad, nel quale l’autore della novel, Reki Kawahara, approfondisce ed espande l’originale avventura della celebre saga sci-fantasy, riscoprendola questa volta senza time-skip, da una nuova prospettiva

THE QUINTESSENTIAL QUINTUPLETS

Pubblicato un nuovo trailer per l’atteso film sequel della serie animata il cui debutto nei cinema giapponesi è previsto per il 20 maggio.

La pellicola durerà più di 130 minuti e porterà a conclusione l’adattamento della commedia romantica firmata da Negi Haruba.

SHADOWS HOUSE

Ecco il primo teaser trailer per la seconda stagione della serie animata, tratta dall'omonima avventura gotica firmata dal duo conosciuto come Somato (lo stesso dietro a Kuro) e prodotta dallo studio CLOVERWORKS (My Dress-Up Darling, Horimiya); i novi episodi andranno in onda da luglio.

GOLDEN KAMUY

Nuovo teaser trailer anche per la quarta stagione della serie animata, tratta dal premiato manga di Satoru Noda, che tornerà in onda con i nuovi episodi da ottobre.

Cambio di studio e di staff al lavoro sulla nuova stagione: questa volta, infatti, l’adattamento è supervisionato da Shizutaka Sugahara (D-Frag!, Grimms Notes the Animation) e prodotto presso BRAIN’S BASE (To Your Eternity, Anonymous Noise) e non più da GENO STUDIO (Kokkoku, Pet).

UNCLE FROM ANOTHER WORLD

REINCARNATED AS A SWORD

La serie animata, basata sulla light novel fantasy isekai di Yuu Tanaka (A Late-Start Tamer’s Laid-Back Life), andrà in onda da ottobre.

L’adattamento è diretto da Shinji Ishihira (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-, Sasaki and Miyano) e in produzione presso lo studio C2C (Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina).

DATE A LIVE

Mostrato un nuovo video promozionale per la quarta stagione della serie, tratta dalla popolare light novel sci-fantasy di Koushi Tachibana, che arriverà in streaming su Crunchyroll dall’8 aprile. 

Il trailer si concentra su Nia Honjo, il nuovo personaggio interpretato da Hitomi Nabatame (Uncho Kan’u in Ikkitousen)

A differenza della precedente stagione, la produzione della serie questa volta è affidata allo studio GEEKTOYS (Plunderer, HenSuki, Date A Bullet) e la regia è in mano a Jun Nakagawa (Date A Bullet, High School Fleet).

I’M QUITTING HEROING

Nuovo trailer anche per la serie adventure comedy fantasy, tratta dalla light novel di Quantum.

L’anime è in lavorazione presso lo studio EMT2 (Drug Store in Another World - The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear) e andrà in onda dal 5 aprile.

SHIKIMORI’S NOT JUST A CUTIE

Online un nuovo trailer per l’atteso adattamento della commedia sentimentale firmata da Keigo Maki.

La serie animata andrà in onda dal 9 aprile e verrà distribuita in streaming su Crunchyroll.

SKY: CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT

Annunciato a sorpresa un progetto d’animazione ispirato al nuovo videogioco di thatgamecompany, il talentuoso studio di sviluppo dietro ad avventure come “Journey”, “Flower” e “Flow”.

EXTREME HEARTS

La nuova serie ideata da Masaki Tsuzuki, il creatore di “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha”, andrà in onda dal 9 luglio, ecco il primo trailer.

L’anime sarà diretto da Junji Nishimura (Dog Days, ViVid Strike!, Vlad Love); svelata anche la locandina ufficiale.

DROPKICK ON MY DEVIL

Svelata la locandina ufficiale per la terza stagione dell’anime, confermando che la commedia tornerà in tv da luglio.

Annunciata, inoltre, una guest star molto speciale: la celebre virtual idol Hatsune Miku comparirà nei nuovi episodi della serie.

HI-DRIVERS

Presentata da bandai Namco una nova serie animata originale, a tema automobilistico, che seguirà varie squadre di piloti, impegnati ogni giorno in gare su strada dove l'unica regola è “La velocità è tutto”.

Review

This is a comedy. It is quite funny but also kinda sad/pitiful at the same time, lol.  Basically, Takafumi lets his uncle (who can still use his magic) stay with him after he awakes from a 17 year long coma because he wants to learn about all the fascinating things he did in the other world. Unfortunately his uncle epic adventure wasn’t all that amazing...

What makes this series, isn’t really the modern day stuff, which is okay, but the uncle’s other world stories. Instead of this cool, fantastic and amazing experience that we typically see in most isekai series, his entire experience seems to have been one long nightmare for him - which makes it comical for us the readers. His stories from the other world are all kinda tragic, but mostly because of a mix of his unfortunate ‘ugly’ looks and his denseness which leads to a lot of misunderstandings. The stories always promise to be these epic adventures but they usually fall short because of his uncle’s bad interpretations and lack of social skills.

Uncle From Another World: annunciati staff e cast della commedia isekai

L’anime arriverà nel 2022 ed è in lavorazione presso lo studio che ci ha regalato la serie di Ganbare Doukichan.

Il sito ufficiale di “Isekai Ojisan” (Uncle from Another World) si è aggiornato, svelando una seconda locandina e nuovi dettagli sulla serie animata, basata sull’omonima commedia firmata da Hotondoshindeiru. 

L’anime debutterà sulle tv giapponesi nel corso del 2022 e a dirigere l’adattamento presso lo studio ATELIER PONTDARC (Ganbare Doukichan) c’è Shigeki Kawai (assistente di regia in Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga). 

Ad occuparsi della sceneggiatura troviamo invece Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil, Mieruko-chan), mentre il character design è in mano a Kazuhiro Ota (Negima!, Pani Poni Dash!).

Sono passati diciassette anni da quando lo zio di Takafumi cadde in un coma profondo. Quando l’uomo all’improvviso si risveglia, Takafumi scopre due cose bizzarre: suo zio ama i videogiochi sopra ogni cosa, e, mentre era in coma, è stato effettivamente trasportato in un altro mondo e ha vissuto incredibili avventure nei panni di un eroico guardiano! 

Ora, non solo Takafumi deve abitare con uno zio che sa letteralmente usare la magia, ma deve anche aggiornarlo su quasi due decenni di storia: smartphone, internet ad alta velocità, i cliché degli anime moderni… nonché l'esito traumatico della console war avvenuta negli anni ‘90!

Uncle from Another World Manga's New CM Introduces Anime Character Voices for The First Time

    Today, on the release day of its seventh volume in Japan, KADOKAWA posted a 30-second CM for Hotondoshindeiru's isekai comedy fantasy manga Isekai Ojisan / Uncle from Another World, introducing the voices of the forthcoming TV anime's two main characters - The Uncle (Takehito Koyasu) and Takafumi (Jun Fukuyama) - for the first time. The video also tells us that the manga has printed more than 1.8 million copies since November 2018.

        The manga has been serialized on KADOKAWA's Comic Walker website since June 2018. Its English edition is licensed by Yen Press, and the synopsis of its first volume released on June 8, 2021, is described as below.

  ​Seventeen years ago, Takafumi’s uncle fell into a coma, but now he’s back like a man risen from his grave. Soon, Takafumi discovers two bizarre things: His uncle treasures video games above all else, and, while comatose, he was actually transported to another world as some heroic guardian! Uncle from Another World Gets Sega's Official Approval in Collaboration Visual with Sonic

    In the special video streamed last night, Sega finally gave the official approval to the protagonist The Uncle from the forthcoming TV anime Isekai Ojisan / Uncle from Another World, who is known for his deep love for the Sega games, then posted a special collaboration visual between him and Sonic from its flagship franchise Sonic the Hedgehog. 

  Triggered by the anime adaptation project, Sega, a company that The Uncle deeply loves, contacted him to meet at its headquater building. To his surprise, he received the title of "Official Sega Uncle" from Sonic!

Uncle from Another World Manga TV Anime Announces Its 2022 Premiere and Main VAs

    Along with the first key visual featuring The Uncle and three heroine characters, the official website for the forthcoming TV anime adaptation of Hotondoshindeiru's isekai comedy fantasy manga Isekai Ojisan / Uncle from Another World announced today that it is set to premiere in Japan in 2022.

  Shigeki Kawai (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga assistant director) is attached to direct, alongside series composition writer Kenta Ihara (Mieruko-chan) and character designer/chief animation director Kazuhiro Ohta (NEGIMA!?)。Atelier Pontdarc works on anime production. Director Kawai says, "It's been more than twenty years since I moved to this different world of the anime industry. I am now able to use some magic. This time, I'd like to cast a spell that will make you smile."

      The manga has been serialized on KADOKAWA's Comic Walker website since June 2018, and six volumes are available in Japan. Its English edition is licensed by Yen Press, and the synopsis of its first volume released on June 8, 2021, is described as below.

  ​Seventeen years ago, Takafumi’s uncle fell into a coma, but now he’s back like a man risen from his grave. Soon, Takafumi discovers two bizarre things: His uncle treasures video games above all else, and, while comatose, he was actually transported to another world as some heroic guardian! Now, not only does Takafumi have to room with an uncle who is literally magical, he also has to catch the guy up on two decades of history—smartphones, high-speed internet, modern anime tropes…and the traumatic outcome of the ’90s console war!

Uncle from Another World Anime Visual Celebrates 33 Years of Sega Genesis

  We're still patiently waiting for more on the upcoming anime adaptation of Hotondoshindeiru's isekai comedy fantasy manga Uncle from Another World, but in the meantime the series is helping to celebrate a video game milestone. October 29 marks the 33rd anniversary of the Sega Mega Drive console—known as Sega Genesis in North America—and Isekai Ojisan is getting in on the fun with a visual that depicts Takafumi and his uncle jamming some Golden Axe.
