Imagine Alexei and Óli showing Paxton and Josh pics of them taking turns filling you with their fingers and lapping at your clit.
Alex smiled. At this rate, you two would be luring more to Elite Hunting than Natalya and Svetlana could honeytrap by themselves. Your plan to initially use seduction—plus exhibitionism, group sex, whatever—instead of just waiting till a sitting duck came to the hostel proper… Well, it was making you very popular with your superiors.
In more ways than one, the Slovakian thought as he remembered Sasha wondering aloud how tasty was your pussy, after being freshly filled by someone slated to die?
A bit morbid for your boyfriend’s taste. Alexei was more indifferent than sadistic. Sharing you almost felt virtuous. He could understand why naive men would be eager to meet more promiscuous ladies like yourself.
“Lots more girls like this-” began Alex.
“Why bother hooking up with separate girls when she’s down to share?”
“And make mementos.”

I’m halfway through Hostel for tonight’s movie.

So far I’m bored. 😬 A group of dumb American boys getting their rocks off in Europe that are enticed to a hostel somewhere in…Slovenia?? Idk. I guess we’ll see how the rest is. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hostel (2005) Dir. Eli Roth
Starting out, I really disliked this. I knew what I was getting into, I knew this was a torture/gore heavy movie and similarly to slashers, these really rely on either super likeable, or extremely dislikable survivor characters.
As we spend the first act with our 3 main survivors I felt like I was getting prepared for a much different movie than what I actually got presented with when the second half rolled around.
Based on all the typical 2005 bigotry, the annoyingness of the main cast, the sex, the drugs I was expecting the action in this to be just as cheap, annoying and trashy.
So I was really surprised at how much...I enjoyed the second half. While I am a fan of gory and even torture horror movies ( with saw being my favourite franchise ever ) the main appeal to me is never the gore itself. I am looking for drama, character redemptions and an exploration of the morality of the situation and the people involved. I didn't expect any of this after the first half and while the organisation behind this torture wasn't as defined as I wanted it to be, watching the last survivor make his way trough the bloody halls of this torture dungeon was satisfying and by the end I really wanted him to get out and make it.
I think the actual action itself was a little brainless, with killings being really played up for shock factor, which I am willing to bet will get more extreme in the sequels. While brainless bloodloss in a horror movie is by no means a bad thing, in this I wished for a little more nuance, a little more thought, given how this is organized and supposed to be the doing of an elite ring, where the rich get to torture others for fun.
Speaking of which I find this a very interesting topic, especially given Eli's inspiration from reality, the thought of these crimes is truly haunting. Again I wish we would've seen more of the system, the people behind it instead of the results.
Visually this is griddy and disgusting. It's so gross looking. But it is also insanely camp. It's so over the top. Reminding me of Haunted House attractions. The long hallways with seperate rooms, showrooms that the camera drives past, where we get to see the act being put on within, really reminded me of a haunted house visit where you go from section to section, observing the horrors of each new room. Same goes for the design of the torturers. Such evil campy designs. Like it's almost ironic how evil these rich people choose to dress to do the evil. It really hammers home how to them, this isn't serious, they can take their evil butcher robes off and go home, but their victims will stay with them forever.
In conclusion, not my favourite, some interesting ideas here and there that I wished were explored more in depth. Fucking bat shit insane children.
First time watch on 29/9/2022

I hate horror movies that are just gorey for the sake of being gorey.
Like oOooh you're so dark and edgy, cool, but there is no meaning to your violence. It doesn't add depth to the plot (if the movie even bothered to establish a coherent one to begin with, which is rare in a lot of horror movies) it doesn't convey any sort of message and sometimes it doesn't even make sense for it to be there in terms of character motivation. Heck, sometimes the gore isn't even fun. Like, if you did it in a fun way I'd like it for shits and giggles (which is the case of Saw, for example) but most of the time the gore is just there for the sake of shock factor, and, ironically, despite the fact that this kind of content is considered "adult" it just comes off as extremely childish.
On a similar note, I also hate it when a movie's idea of "horror" is just cheap jumpscares. Horror in movies should be slow, claustrophobic, and all consuming, not a FNAF jumpscare (Keep in mind that I'm talking about movies here, I actually kinda like jumpscares in horror games lol)
Those two combined are the opposite of my bread and butter, they're my cardboard and broken glass.
Anyway, fuck "in your face" horror movies. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
