also definitely going to try to 100% it still, it's just going to be much much harder with hordemode AND the secrets to find.

So apparently Warhammer 40k Boltgun got an update when I wasn't looking, there's a DLC and a horde mode now. Haven't looked at the DLC yet, but the horde mode is so good that I stopped blinking for 40 minutes and gave myself a headache. I also beat it, though only on the easiest difficulty. My one complaint is that it didn't give me a heavy bolter or volkite caliver, which are two of my three favorite guns, and there was a machine spirit upgrade behind a wall that I couldn't get to. I say "never" and "couldn't" because the horde mode ends. It has an end, which is not how I thought horde modes were meant to work. Anyway, absolutely great way to spend 40 minutes.

Mama Was Angry – Gears 5 9/11

Twitch updates: We were playing Gears 5  last night and decided to try out the Insane Difficulty on Horde Mode.

In order to unlock ‘Insane’ mode and other challenges, you have to complete the easier modes that are open by default.

Now, it took us this long to unlock it due to all of the technical difficulties that have been plaguing this game since its Xbox pre-release to Ultimate Game Pass holders on September 6th.  You can see some of the issues I am talking about just by scrubbing through this video to get an idea.  A video summary of how we felt about the first day’s launch of the game had to be made due to all of the disappointment.

I do have to say, the added buffs for the enemies were a huge step but it seriously added to the experience of Horde Mode.  They had increased health, more powerful attacks, and we were now required to execute the enemies in order for the waves to continue; thus we had to be way more strategic.

It’s a default I get very vocal in response to increased madness in games and I wanted to share with you what had happened once we got to Wave 10 – the boss wave.  We were greeted by the Matriarch berserker, which is my friend’s most hated boss, which also added to the insanity.

Normally in @gearsofwar 5 Horde Mode, the Wardens are a real threat. This map happens to have a giant furnace in the center of it. So when a Warden spawned inside of it, you know I had to do this to him. In my first game of #HORDEMODE in #GEARS5 I learn that Jack likes trains. I haven't played the campaign yet so everything was new to me.
