1. Shardik. Also technically cheating because I have started it already but December was. A month. I spent a lot of it crying/unfocused/languishing/sick as a parrot and wasn't in the mood for anything complex so I read the One Piece Ace light novels instead. I will get back to you, Lord Shardik.

2. The Spy Who Came in From the Cold. I saw this book at amnesty after I too had just come in from the cold. I didn't buy it for some reason but then I read an interview with Jeff Vandermeer where he talked about a lot of his spy shit being influenced by this writer so. I had to go back for it of course.

3. Astro Boy the movie: the graphic novel. Please look up the art inside, it's amazing. Thank you Poke I can't wait to read it (and the rest of the comics u sent me lol).

4. Jane Eyre. My mum just lent me a copy and she loves it so I'm excited to check it out.

5 & 6. Journey to the centre of the earth and From the earth to the moon. I haven't gotten my Verne on in some time. I need to get my Verne on again so bad.

7. The Poseidon Adventure. I think I've seen the movie of this but I legit had no idea Paul Gallico wrote it. He's the author of one of my most cherished favourite books (Jennie) and I need to read his other stuff.

8 & 9. The Kray Twins biopic and Why I'm no longer talking to white people about race.
I am. SO FUCKING BAD at reading nonfiction. It's a horrible habit where I'll be like oh this is interesting. Put it down and tell myself I'll read it later (I won't). I am very interested in nonfiction which focus on issues like crime, race and sexuality through the lens of my own country i.e a book I read about gay history specifically in London so I am very interested to read these if I can just make the space in my brain.
