Stained Wrists

She slides the blade

Across her wrists

Digging in

With a new twist

She closes her eyes

Time seems to fly

She loves the relief she feels

But the pain inside her just won’t heal

She cuts into her hips

Watches as the blood drips

Runs her fingers over the scars

As she stares up at the lonely stars

Her wrists are stained

Her thighs are cut

But she loves the pain

Of each and every cut

Her cries are silent

Her tears are quiet

And she cuts in silence

Her intentions violent

She cries in the night

It’s not a pretty sight

She doesn’t want to fight

The fire in her ignites

She knows she isn’t alright

And she gives up on life
