Redmi K30 Pro Teased to Debut With 60Hz Display, 3 Colour Options Confirmed

Redmi K30 Pro Teased to Debut With 60Hz Display, 3 Colour Options Confirmed
Redmi K30 Pro colour options and display refresh rate have been revealed through a fresh series of teasers posted on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The new Redmi phone, which is debuting next week, is teased to come in at least three different colours. Xiaomi’s executives on Weibo have also announced that the Redmi K30 Pro will have the standard 60Hz refresh rate. This is significantly lower than the 120Hz refresh rate featured on the Redmi K30. The new smartphone is also touted to include the largest vapour chamber (VC) to help disseminate a large amount of heat — which should lead to better overall performance of the phone.
Multiple teasers posted by the Redmi account on Weibo show that the Redmi K30 Pro will come in white, green, and purple colour shades. The company might have different names for the colour options, but the latest teasers have revealed that the new Redmi phone will come in at least three new colour options. Also, you can expect a gradient finish at the back along with a glass protection for a premium look and feel.
Apart from the colour options, Redmi Product Director Wang Teng Thomas through a separate post on Weibo revealed that the Redmi K30 Pro would come with a 60Hz refresh rate. The executive mentioned that the screen quality was “remarkable” and the panel is an AMOLED display manufactured by Samsung. Redmi General Manager and Xiaomi President of China region Lu Weibing also reiterated the presence of the 60Hz screen on the Redmi phone through a Weibo post.
In December, Xiaomi launched the Redmi K30 that comes with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate. This sounds a bit interesting since the previous Redmi phone is speculated as the watered down version of the Redmi K30 Pro.
Weibing through another post on the microblogging site mentioned that the Redmi K30 Pro would include a linear motor along with a driver chip to enable a list of vibration waveforms. The phone is also teased to come with an audio decoder to offer a multi-dimensional reminder effect. It will also have a 4D vibration sensing for mobile games, Weibing noted.
An early teaser showed VC liquid cooling on the Redmi K30 Pro. Thomas through a new post claimed that the phone will have the largest VC solution on any smartphone — three times larger particularly when comparing with the liquid-filled copper tube available on the Honor V30 Pro.
Thomas claimed that the Redmi K30 Pro was found to be 3.2 times cooler than the Honor V30 Pro when tested under an hour-long gaming session. The new phone has the VC solution with a surface area of 3,435 square milimetres.
Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has made the Redmi K30 Pro as an official partner for the Fast and Furious 9 movie that is releasing in the US on April 2. Some teasers have already been released featuring the starcast of the upcoming action film.
The Redmi K30 Pro launch is set for March 24. We can safely expect some new teasers emerging online to reveal its key features ahead of the official debut.

Fortnite Android update: Big download news for Mobile beta

Fortnite Android update: Big download news for Mobile beta
Some fans have been waiting to play the hit Battle Royale game on their mobile phones for a very long time.
The initial release on iOS proved to be huge for Epic Games, who reportedly saw their hit iPhone app rake in 90$ million dollars over the first three months.
This was followed by a very long wait for the Fortnite Android beta, which came with its own limitations.
A deal with Samsung has meant that the game has been limited to a small selection of devices in August.
However, it appears that this exclusivity period has ended, with more Fortnite fans now able to try out the game on their Android devices.
The official Fortnite beta site has been updated with a new list of compatible devices, a list that is likely to grow over the coming months.
Here’s the updated list of phones that now Fortnite on Android:
ANDROID BETA INITIALLY WILL WORK ON THE FOLLOWING DEVICES:
Samsung Galaxy: S7 / S7 Edge, S8 / S8+, S9 / S9+, Note 8, Note 9, Tab S3, Tab S4 Google: Pixel / Pixel XL, Pixel 2 / Pixel 2 XL, Asus: ROG Phone, Zenfone 4 Pro, 5Z, V Essential: PH-1 Huawei: Honor 10, Honor Play, Mate 10 / Pro, Mate RS, Nova 3, P20 / Pro, V10 LG: G5, G6, G7 ThinQ, V20, V30 / V30+ Nokia: 8 OnePlus: 5 / 5T, 6 Razer: Phone Xiaomi: Blackshark, Mi 5 / 5S / 5S Plus, 6 / 6 Plus, Mi 8 / 8 Explorer / 8SE, Mi Mix, Mi Mix 2, Mi Mix 2S, Mi Note 2 ZTE: Axon 7 / 7s, Axon M, Nubia / Z17 / Z17s, Nubia Z11.
It’s great news for fans, although they will still need to go to the official site and register their interest in playing the new app.
Here’s a recent guide posted by Epic Games for those players who have been invited to the beta but are having trouble accessing key content.
“We’re aware of an issue that’s causing players on supported devices to receive an error prompting them to join a “Waiting List” to gain access to Fortnite Beta on Android,” Epic Games confirms.
“We’ve identified what’s causing this and are investigating the issue to work towards a fix.”
Current Epic Games workaround:
Verify you’re on a supported device.
Log in to Fortnite Beta on Android.
Receive the error that prompts you to “Get on the Waiting List.”
Exit the game, relaunch, and attempt to relog into your account.
This workaround may not immediately work, give it a little time and keep trying. The entitlement will be granted to your account after a short amount of time; this may take a few tries.
Epic Games has decided to launch Fortnite on Android away from the Google Play Store.
But even though it can’t be downloaded directly from the usual Android source, the Play Store does explain to players about the difference in the arrangement.
Google is currently warning players that you cannot find the popular game on the Play Store.
Those who search for it have found notices pop up that state “Fortnite Battle Royal by Epic Games, Inc is not available on Google Play.”
This clarification is in place to make sure that everyone knows Fortnite Battle Royale can only be found on Android through the current Fortnite beta.
This also should stop hopeful players downloading bogus apps from the Play Store, which look to mimic the Fortnite application.
It was recently revealed that new websites are being spotted that claim to have the Fortnite Android beta available for download.
A number of sites have been investigated and found to be part of malware scams.
For those wanting to find the release version of the game, it can be found on the official Epic Games site and the Galaxy App Store.
Fortnite players will have to click on the link on the website and download the full version of Fortnite to their device.
To get started, visit fortnite.com/android on an Android device.

now that Android Pie is live, the first thing that comes to our mind is when my Android device will receive the new update. The exciting new features of Android Pie and the whole gesture navigation thing is not something anyone would want to miss. However, given the track record of smartphone manufacturers, Android latest versions have never been delivered right away. Don’t you remember how much time Android Oreo took to arrive on your device? Still, Android Oreo has not been able to take over Android Nougat regarding market share.
It’s entirely imaginable that while your device would get Android P, Google may have already released Android Q beta version. Android Q…Hmm! I wonder what Android Q will be called.
Anyway, the good news is Google is aware of the current situation. Hence, the Android One and Google Beta program.
But there is only so much Google can do. Honestly, phone makers couldn’t care less about which Android version you have. If your device shared a fair amount of limelight, welcome to Android update, or else, you know where to buy a new device.
That’s out of the way, let’s move on with our list of Android devices getting Android P. Remember, few of these are just educated guess so don’t take our word for it. However, we will be continuously updating this article as soon as we see any official announcements.
Complete list of smartphones receiving Android Pie
1. Google
Of course! Google’s own line of devices will be the first one to receive the latest Android version. In fact, as I speak, Google has already started rolling out Android Pie OTA (Over-the-air) updates to its devices —
Google Pixel and Pixel XL
Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL
It is doubtful that Android Pie will come on Nexus devices (Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X), considering the lost “update support” from Google itself.
On the other hand, all the Android One-powered devices will receive Android Pie later this fall –
Nokia Android devices
Xiaomi Mi A1, Mi A2, and Mi A2 Lite
HTC U11 Life
Motorola X4, Android One, and Android Power
LG G7
General Mobile (GM8, GM6, GM5, GM5+)
Ymobile (S1, S2, X1)
Thanks to the Google Beta Program, many non-pixel devices got the opportunity to try out Android P beta version. So it is evident that the same beta program devices would also receive the final Android Pie version, perhaps way sooner than any device.
Essential PH-1
Vivo X21 and X21 UD
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
Sony Experia XZ2
Nokia 7 Plus
Oppo R15 Pro
OnePlus 6
2. Nokia
Nokia has exponentially upped their game with the new line of Android devices. All of these devices work on Android One, Google’s parallel project which provides true stock experience on non-pixel devices.
Back in May, HMD global Marketing Manager, Niel Broadley, confirmed that Android P would be coming to the entire Nokia portfolio.
And a few days back, Google also announced that all Android One devices would get Android P later in 2018.
List of Nokia devices receiving Android Pie –
Nokia 8 Sirocco, and Nokia 8
Nokia 7 Plus
Nokia 6.1, and Nokia 6
Nokia 5.1, and Nokia 5
Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 3
Nokia 2.1, and Nokia 2
Nokia 1
3. Essential Phone
Essential has already rolled out Android P OTA update for Essential device Phone.
Now, this is some revolutionary stuff. Seemingly, Essential is the first device manufacturer who has shipped Android latest version after Google Pixel.
Before this, Essential was part of Google beta program already having scope for an early stable release. But same day as Pixel! A total bolt from the blue.
4. OnePlus
OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone-maker has already become one of the most popular Android brands. The high performing devices with reasonable price have charmed all the Android users around the world.
It would be a shame if OnePlus doesn’t roll out Android Pie on its devices. But rolling out on all devices, well I did not see that one coming. Only a few days back, OnePlus officially announced Android Pie will come on all of its devices, skipping the delayed Android Oreo (8.1) update altogether.
One Plus 6
One Plus 5T and One Plus 5
One Plus 3T and 3
As of now, OnePlus has rolled out Android Pie based Oxygen OS beta 1 for its OnePlus 6 device. And the final Android Pie version is tentatively coming somewhere in December.
5. Xiaomi
One of the biggest players in budget smartphones, Xiaomi, utilizes Android Oreo-based MIUI for its devices. In 2017, Xiaomi brought first Android phone Xiaomi Mi A1 as part of Google Android One initiative.
And only recently, we saw Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite, both, carrying Android Oreo (as part of the Android One program). Xiaomi says all its Android devices will soon receive Android Pie. On the other hand, there is no official date on a new MIUI update.
Let’s look at the list of Xiaomi devices eligible for Android P (MIUI) update –
Xiaomi Mi mix, Mi Mix 2 and Mi Mix 2S
Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 5
Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer, Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 5
Xiaomi Mi 6
List of Xiaomi devices receiving Android Pie –
Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite
Xiaomi Mi A1
As for Xiaomi Android devices, we can expect the update at the onset of Q4 2018.
6. Huawei
Huawei is another Chinese smartphone maker whose massive sales have already unseated Apple to become the world’s second largest smartphone manufacturer. Honor, a Huawei sub-brand, works on Android-based EMUI operating system.
The company has been active in updating their devices to the latest Android versions, and likely they will follow the same speed with Andoird Pie. Presently, Huawei has rolled out its Android Pie based EMUI 9 beta version for selected devices –

Huawei Nova 3i
Honor 9 and 10
Huawei P20, P20 Pro, and P20 Lite
Huawei Mate 20
Considering Huawei previous track records, the company would more likely to release Android Pie update in December.
7. Sony
Sony has done spectacularly in cameras, TV, consoles but the when it comes to the smartphone industry, the company is trying its best to stay in the competition. For instance, Sony XZ2 in the beta program which was a much-needed revival for the company.
As of now, Sony has promised users to update their Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2 lineups to Android P starting in starting from November
List of Sony devices getting for Android Pie –
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium
Sony Xperia XZ2, and Xperia XZ2 compact
Sony Xperia XZ1, and Xperia Z1 compact
Sony Xperia XZ Premium
Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra (early 2019)
Sony Xperia XA2 Plus (early 2019)
8. Samsung
If we’d have to rank device makers on the amount of time taken to release Android version; Samsung would probably stand at the end. Regardless, smiling, being the top manufacturers of the world
As expected, there is no comment on Android Pie. However, based on bits and pieces of information over the Internet, we can make a preliminary estimate on which Samsung devices would get to see the Google light.
List of Samsung devices eligible for Android P –
Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+
Samsung Galaxy Note 8
Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018)
Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018)
Samsung Galaxy A6+ (2018)
Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3
Samsung flagships like Note 9 and S9 series will first get Android Pie updates probably in Q2 2019.
9. LG
Korean electronic is gaining new heights, but its mobile division is continuously dropping with low sales every year. Although many LG devices are eligible for Android Pie, their hopeless phone market may prompt a much-delayed update rollout.
List of LG devices eligible for Android Pie –
LG V35 ThinQ
LG Q Stylus
LG V30S Thin Q
LG G7 Thin Q
LG Q7
LG V30+
9. HTC
HTC is steadily losing out in the smartphone market. In fact, many HTC smartphones even get lost in the back-to-back devices from Chinese companies, which is why the company is now trying to hold off its loyal consumers with Android Pie update.
HTC has announced that its HTC U lineup will be receiving Android Pie update. However, no timelines have been mentioned just yet.
List of HTC device receiving Android Pie –
HTC U12+
HTC U11
HTC U11+
HTC U11 Life
Since HTC U11 Life is an Android One device, it will likely to receive Android Pie update first.
Other device manufacturers that may focus on delivering Android Pie:
Blackberry
Blackberry recently launched their Android phone – Blackberry Key 2. So you would see Android P on the device, but I cannot say the same for Blackberry Key 1.
Vivo
Vivo has confirmed that it will release Android Pie its devices in Q 4 2018. Vivo X21 and X21 UD was part of Google beta program, so it is apparent that they will receive it first. Other Vivo devices which are eligible for Android Pie: Vivo Nex A, Nex S and Vivo V9.
Oppo
As of now, speculation is Oppo Find X, Oppo R15, and Oppo R15 Pro will receive the Android P. Since Oppo R15 was part of the beta program, it is likely to get the update first.
Motorola
Lenovo owned Motorola has always kept a consumer-centric model for their smartphones. Hence, we see Moto phones focus on affordable prices, fast applications, and a genuine android experience. And certainly, the company won’t hold back when it comes to new Android updates.
In the past, Motorola stated that they are working non-stop to optimize Android Pie for Moto devices.
Now, the company has officially announced a list of devices that will get Android Pie –
moto z3
moto z3 play
moto z2 force edition
moto z2 play
moto x4
moto g6 plus
moto g6
moto g6 play
As for the Android Pie roadmap, Motorola says they will start serving up Android Pie from this fall onwards.
Android Go devices
Android Go is primarily a stripped down version of Stock Android, targeted at lower end device (512 RAM and above) so that low budget phones not left out from the pure Google Pixel like experience.
Only recently, Google announced that it will release Android 9 Pie on more than 200 Android Go devices. Additionally, Android Go Google apps will get a major overhaul in the coming update.
Few of these apps are Google Go, YouTube Go, Maps Go, Files Go, Assistant Go, Android Messages.

youtube
It is now less than a week before Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy Note 9. The flagship phablet is billed to go official on August 9 when the Galaxy Unpacked event will hold. However, a promotional video for the Note 9 has just been leaked on Samsung’s New Zealand YouTube channel. The video introduces the Galaxy Note 9, highlighting the major features of the phablet, especially the redesigned S-pen. The video has since been taken down but thankfully, it is still online in case you care for an early preview. It also affords us the opportunity to see the device is real life images with the model having a Coral Blue color. The S Pen appears in yellow and is promoted as coming with Bluetooth connectivity and additional features. In essence, it suggests the storage can be expanded via microSD slot up to 1 terabyte. This may actually play out with the device having a 512GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 500GB using the microSD slot. Another point in the teaser is the prolonged battery life which the device promises to offer with the screamer “all day battery life”. Android 8.0 Oreo update tracker – April 6, 2018 Welcome to our Android 8.0 Oreo update tracker. Following its public release in August 2017, Oreo is steadily finding its way to more and more Android smartphones. Google has been working to reduce fragmentation and ensure that more devices receive the latest Android version in a timely fashion. It’s still a work in progress though; the Android 8.0 Oreo update is still far from widespread, as the Android version distribution figures show. You’re probably wondering “When will my phone get Oreo?” This tracker will help with that question. We’re collecting all the information we can find on the rollout of Android 8, including past OTAs and upcoming releases. Without further ado, here’s what we know so far about the Android 8.0 Oreo update. What’s new in Android 8.0 Oreo? We have all the features here Looking ahead at Android P Still waiting for Nougat? Check out our Nougat tracker Android Wear update tracker Got Oreo? Before we start As with older versions, the update to Android 8.0 Oreo has been released by Google, but many factors influence its actual availability. First and foremost, your manufacturer and carrier (in case you own a carrier version) control when your phone will get Oreo. Other factors are your specific model, your location in the world, and whether you bought the device unlocked or through a carrier. Just because your specific phone or tablet is not on the list, it doesn’t mean it won’t get the Oreo update. The opposite is also true. We make efforts to collect accurate information for all manufacturers, but mistakes happen – if you spot one, let us know. Key Android 8 Oreo update features We have a complete overview of all the new features in our Android 8.0 Oreo review. Redmi K30 Pro Teased to Debut With UFS 3.1 Storage, Feature VC Liquid Cooling
Redmi K30 Pro has been teased to debut with UFS 3.1 storage and include a proprietary VC liquid cooling technology. Earlier on Tuesday, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi announced that it is launching the Redmi K30 Pro in China as its next-generation flagship on March 24. The new smartphone will come with a quad rear camera setup that will have a 64-megapixel primary sensor. In addition to the teasers released by the sub-brand, Redmi General Manager and Xiaomi President of China Region Lu Weibing has posted a brief comparison between the Redmi K30 Pro and the Honor V30 Pro.
The Redmi account on Weibo has posted the teaser showing UFS 3.1 storage on the Redmi K30 Pro. The new storage standard is claimed to deliver write speeds of up to 750 Mbps on the device. Redmi chief Lu Weibing has posted a video through his Weibo account that compares the storage performance between the Redmi K30 Pro and the Honor V30 Pro. He has also mentioned that UFS 3.1 provides a greatly improved experience over the existing UFS 3.0.
Vivo’s iQoo recently launched the iQoo 3 in India with UFS 3.1 storage. The Vivo Nex 3S 5G also debuted in China last week with the identical storage solution.
In addition to UFS 3.1, teasers on the Redmi Weibo account show that the Redmi K30 Pro will have the custom VC liquid cooling technology. The new offering is touted to provide a promising heat dissipation performance using a 3,435 square millimetres of liquid-cooled heat sink.

The Redmi K30 Pro has also been teased to come with LPRDD5 RAM. We earlier saw the same memory chip in the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.
If we look at the past reports, Xiaomi has already confirmed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC on the Redmi K30 Pro. There will also be 5G support. Further, the smartphone will come with a pop-up selfie camera, just like the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.
The official launch of the Redmi K30 Pro is scheduled for March 24. In the meantime, it is safe to expect some new teasers and rumours surfacing online with some key specifications of the latest flagship.

Honor V30, Honor V30 Pro Confirmed to Pack Kirin 990 SoC, Other Alleged Specifications Surface Online as Well
Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro are set to launch in China on Tuesday, November 26. But just days ahead of their formal launch, Huawei sub-brand Honor has confirmed that both new smartphones will come with HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC and support 5G connectivity. Key specifications of the Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro have also surfaced online to suggest what Honor has planned for the market this time. Additionally, the price of the Honor V30 has been leaked. Benchmark source AnTuTu has also suggested some of the major highlights of the Honor V30 Pro that is likely to come as the company’s top-of-the-line hardware.
The official Weibo account of Honor has released a teaser video to confirm the presence of HiSilicon Kirin 990 on the Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro. The new chipset comes with 5G support to deliver newer experiences.
Aside from the teaser released by the company, a tipster from China has leaked an image suggesting the initial price tag of the Honor V30. The image shows that the smartphone will go on sale at CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 51,000).

Honor V30, Honor V30 Pro specifications (rumoured)
Ahead of the official launch, the specifications of the Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro have been leaked on Weibo. Both Honor V30-series phones are said to have a 6.57-inch IPS display along with 91.46 percent screen-to-body ratio, 40-megapixel Sony IMX600 primary sensor, and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a telephoto lens. On the distinct part, the Honor V30 would have an 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with a wide-angle lens, while the Honor V30 Pro is rumoured to include a 12-megapixel sensor along with optical image stabilisation (OIS). The smartphones would also have a 4-megapixel camera.
Honor is said to provide two storage variants of both new smartphones. The Honor V30 will have 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage as the two options, while the Honor V30 Pro would have 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration options. Both smartphones are also said to have liquid cooling, 40W fast charging support, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Further, the Honor V30 Pro would support 27W wireless charging and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. The Honor V30 is said to include a 4,200mAh battery, while the Honor V30 Pro may have a 4,100mAh battery.
In terms of colour options, the Honor V30 models could come in Icelandic Fantasy, Magic Night Star River, Charm Star Blue, and Twilight Orange colours.
AnTuTu site has also detailed an Honor phone carrying model number OXF-AN10. It is believed to be the Honor V30 Pro. The listing on the benchmark site suggests that the phone runs Android 10 out-of-the-box and includes a display panel with full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio.

The AnTuTu listing also corroborates what has been reported by the Chinese tipster by mentioning a 40-megapixel primary shooter and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Further, the phone that has been benchmarked on AnTuTu has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
Earlier this week, the Honor phone carrying the same OXF-AN10 model number was spotted on Geekbench. That revelation highlighted Android 10 support on the new model.
Since Honor is launching the Honor V30 at an event in Beijing on the coming Tuesday, we can expect some fresh rumours surfacing on the Web in the coming days.

Android 8.0 Oreo update tracker – March 30, 2018 Welcome to our Android 8.0 Oreo update tracker.
