Any extra info you want the sourcemate(s) to know (memories, ages, etc.): our Dirk is pregame (15) years old . We are bodily 21 but Dirk is someone we have concern about when it comes to friendships. We only want the people we are friends with to be bodily adult but he prefers source mates that aren’t too much older than him/ his age.

Dirk has a lot of memories. There are some specific ones about how he looks and such. He remembers being quite tall, having freckles and his hair being dirty blonde. There are memories he has of calling jake while he worked on projects at jake’s request in the middle of the night. There are many other but those are some of the only ones I expressly remember.

hi, sorry if this is insensitive, but i am new to this whole..... thing i can't put into words but you'll get it once i talk about it. anyway i have a lot of questions about things like fictives, agere and maybe some other stuff

- what triggers age regression? is it purely a trauma thing or can other factors cause it?

- do systems take control of a host one at a time, or are they just all in there? can parts of a system talk to each other?

- is there a difference between fictives and kins?

- is there a reason why fictives and agere are so popular in the hs community?

its not insensitive, youre just asking questions.

age regression can be trigger by trauma and stress, but it can also be voluntary.

i dont know what you mean by "taking control of a host" so im going to assume you mean if alters front one at a time. alters can front one at a time however there can also be multiple alters in front at the same time, the term for that is "co-fronting". alters (or parts, if thats your preferred term) can speak to each other if the system has a headspace where alters can interact, or if theyre co-fronting / co-conscious (co-consciousness is when multiple alters are conscious at the same time, but one or more alters arent fronting).

fictrojects (or fictives) are alters who formed based off of a fictional source, they have pseudo-memories from that source and believe they are that source while kins (from what i know) are people who heavily relate to a character to the point they self identify as that character.

theres no reason as to why fictrojects and age regression are popular in the homestuck fandom, it just so happens that systems and age regressors like homestuck and are in the fandom. systems and age regressors exist everywhere, in every fandom; and if you look at the homestuck fandom as a whole you can see systems and age regressors are actually a rather small minority.
