hellooo, your writing is amazing so far i love it 🫶🏼
Could you do one for Hobie x fem reader, where the reader is friends with SpiderPunk AND Hobie. But she doesn’t know they’re the same person. And one day lovergirl rants about her fat ah crush on Hobie to him??
First off, thank you for enjoining my writing, I try my best with what working brain cells I have left 🤣
Ooh I love this idea very much! But I might make it a two parter cuz I defiantly went off request…oops…
Part 2
You were just minding your business, chilling on the roof top of an abandoned apartment complex, mind a million miles elsewhere on a certain somebody when a flash of red and blue caught your eye and before you knew it; you company of one had became a company of two.
Heya Spidey, how are things?’ You greeted.
He shrugs, ‘the usual but what about you lil missis,’ he playfully nudges you, ‘head so far off into the clouds I’m actually feeling a little neglected over here.’ You laughed, shoving him away by his arm. ‘Oh come off it, will you? I just been thinking about this guy I’ve liked for a while now.’ You admitted and Hobie’s interest was immediately peaked.
For as long as he knew you, Hobie could barely remember the last time you had ever admitted to him in fancying someone, besides from a couple of incidences from way back that ended up backfiring; but other then that, you kinda made it a point not to talk about it, maybe in due to him thinking that whoever you did fancy at the time weren’t worth the effort you’d give had you perused them. You had often called him overprotective whenever you tell him about your crush of the week but Hobie would defend himself by saying he was merely looking out for you and didn’t want you getting hurt by some douchebag.
‘You don’t have to defend me from everything Hobie,’ you once told him as you were patching him up from beating the breaks off of your last crush because they were chatting shit about you behind your back, ‘whilst as sweet as it is but you can’t always be there to look out for me.’
‘Watch me.’ He replied, his view remaining completely unchanged. You sighed, knowing that once Hobie’s mind was made up, nothing you nor anyone else could do to change that. He was an akin to that of an immovable object when it came to his beliefs and views and it was amongst the many things you adored and admired about him most.
‘Oh yeah? And who’s the lucky guy?’ He asked casually leaning back on his arms, watching as you brought your knees close to your chest before resting your chin upon them as your eyes gaze out at nothing in particular; something Hobie noticed you often do when you were particularly in your feelings and needed something to hold onto and ground yourself before you became adrift in your own sea of emotions. It was cute to see you tucked in on yourself so tightly that he couldn’t be more thankful for the fact that you couldn’t see how dopey he must’ve looked beneath his mask.
‘Hobie. Hobie Brown.’
He blinked twice, nah, he must’ve heard that wrong, surely, his hearing must be going all scewiff.
‘Hobie Brown.’ He said his own name as though it was the first time he was ever saying it. Upon seeing the way your shoulders drop and your body becoming at ease upon hearing his name, along with the way you smiled gently and how your eyes seemed to beam with newfound light which all had only helped In affirming to Hobie that he did indeed hear you the first time. ‘What is it about the guy that’s got you all up in knots?’ He asked, trying to act as though you didn’t just indirectly admitted that you’ve got a crush on him to him.
‘Where do I start.’ You started, unable to fight against your own feelings that were swelling up within your chest when an image of Hobie appeared in the forefront of your mind, he was sat on your bed, eyes closed as he allowed himself to get lost within his guitar rifts, his calloused fingers expertly transitioned from chord to chord as it were muscle memory. ‘He’s just so cool and awesome and so forthright and opinionated in his views and beliefs that he’s not afraid to back down from a fight should it come down to it.’ You tell him with a sense of fondness in your voice.
Hobie was quick to notice how your hand fiddle with one of the many handmade pins he’s made you that you always paired up with any and every outfit you ever wore, even if they styles did clash but you didn’t seem to care; Whatever the reason for you reaching for the pins were, whether it’d be out of a need to feel out the closest thing you had in regards to him or it was just something you did out of habit, made Hobie warm within his chest that soon spread throughout his body. ‘Sounds like me and this Hobie guy are more alike then I originally thought.’
Your fingers stopped their fiddling and you suddenly looked at him as though you were just now realising something with the way your eyes bore into him, Hobie thought that you might’ve developed the ability to see through the mask that withheld his identity and into him, so much so that he couldn’t help but make a comment on it, ‘stare at me any harder sweetheart and your stare might burn right through my mask.’ You must’ve been deep into your thinking as you didn’t seem to have noticed that he had spoken at all and Hobie was starting to think that he might’ve been too relaxed with you as Spider-Man that you might have started to have it pieced together in your mind; after all you were smart, more so then what you give yourself credit for.
‘Now that you’ve mentioned it you and Hobie do share some of the same attributes and habits, I’m also pretty sure your similar height wise and even though your mask muffled your voice, it fills me with a sense of familiarity that it’s hard for me to put a finger on.’ You said as you leaned closer to him until you were partially merely a breath away from each other. Hobie didn’t know he was holding in a breath until you shrugged ‘but I could just be grasping at a straws, so I won’t dwell on it as much.’ and moved away from him back to your previous position.
As much as he would’ve loved to have you figure out his identity on your own terms. Hobie would prefer it best if he were the one to reveal himself to you but the moments where he wanted to never felt right and he didn’t want to you in danger by doing so, but he knew that there’d come a time where he would be greeted with a choice in wether to tell you the truth as to who he was or continue living like he has currently and potentially loose your trust because of his lack of transparency; Hobie couldn’t bear to think of loosing your trust but just as he has always done since becoming your friend, he was merely looking out for you and for your safety as they were always his top priorities.

Let’s Have A Baby
➥summary: Hobie and his girlfriend babysits her cousin and seeing how good she is with kids, hobie decides that now he wants a baby too
➥ Hobie brown x reader
➥ one shot
➥ a/n: heads up I’m high writing this, I was smoking weed
The sun beamed brightly through the curtains, casting a warm glow in (y/n)'s cozy apartment. Hobie arrived with a smile, a bouquet of colorful flowers in hand, ready to spend a relaxing day with his girlfriend. They had been looking forward to this quality time together, away from the hustle and bustle of their busy lives.
As the day unfolded, they lounged on the couch, sharing laughter, stories, and affectionate moments. Time seemed to fly as they lost themselves in each other's company. The comforting ambiance of the apartment created an atmosphere of tranquility that made them forget about the outside world.
Just as they settled into their leisurely pace, there was a sudden knock on the door. (y/n) hesitated for a moment, wondering who could be visiting at such an unexpected time. She opened the door to find her relative, Alice, standing there, with two adorable kids by her side – a baby, Lily, and a bubbly toddler, Max.
Alice looked flustered and explained the urgency of her situation. She had an important appointment that couldn't be postponed, and all the babysitters she had arranged canceled at the last minute. She turned to (y/n) with a hopeful expression, "I hate to ask, but would you be able to watch the kids for a few hours? I promise it won't take long."
(y/n)'s heart melted at the sight of the innocent faces of Lily and Max. Despite her initial reservations, she couldn't resist their charm and, after sharing a brief glance with Hobie, agreed to help her relative out.
“Yeah, sure I don’t mind.”
With Alice's heartfelt gratitude, she handed over a diaper bag filled with essentials, along with instructions on feeding and nap times. As Alice rushed off, leaving them with the kids, Hobie and (y/n) exchanged a mix of excitement and nervousness.
Hobie scooped up little Max in his arms, and the toddler giggled, quickly warming up to his newfound friend. Meanwhile, (y/n) gently cradled baby Lily, who was cooing softly. The apartment soon echoed with the sound of joyful laughter, toys scattered across the living room floor.
Hobie and (y/n) found themselves caught up in the sheer delight of playing tag with Max. The toddler's boundless energy and infectious laughter filled the room, making it impossible not to join in the fun. Hobie ran after Max with a playful glint in his eyes, while (y/n) carried baby Alice in her arms, wiggling her little feet in the air.
•••
"Tag, you're it!" Hobie called out, reaching out to tap Max on the shoulder. The little boy squealed with delight and dashed away, his tiny feet pitter-pattering on the floor.
Meanwhile, baby Alice, who couldn't run like Max, seemed to enjoy the game just as much. She gazed up at (y/n) with wide eyes, her chubby cheeks flushed with excitement. Every time Hobie chased Max around the living room, (y/n) playfully moved Alice's legs as if she were running too. The sight of Alice's gummy smile melted their hearts, and they couldn't help but shower her with affectionate coos and kisses.
As the game intensified, Hobie and Max sped past furniture, making wild turns and laughing uproariously. The apartment echoed with the sounds of happiness and joy, as if time itself had ceased to exist, leaving only the present moment of shared delight.
The little apartment became their playground, and they reveled in the simplicity of the game. No worries about the outside world, no deadlines, just pure unadulterated joy. (y/n) was grateful for these unexpected moments, realizing that sometimes the best memories are made when life throws you a surprise.
After a few rounds of tag, they all gathered in the center of the room, breathless and exhilarated. Baby Alice clapped her tiny hands together, as if she knew she had been a part of something special. Hobie and (y/n) exchanged a knowing look, realizing that their day had taken an unexpected but wonderful turn.
With Max's energy finally waning, they decided to take a break and set up a makeshift picnic on the living room floor. They laid out a blanket and placed an assortment of snacks and toys for Max to enjoy. (y/n) continued to hold Alice in her arms, cuddling her close as they all sat together.
As they nibbled on snacks, Hobie couldn't help but be in awe of (y/n)'s natural way with children. Her caring and gentle demeanor was evident, and it only made him fall even more in love with her. Their eyes met, and in that moment, they silently acknowledged how much this day meant to them – the laughter, the love, and the sense of togetherness.
•••
With the excitement of tag wearing off, the group decided to wind down and enjoy a Disney movie together. Hobie found a classic animated film that he remembered fondly from his childhood, and they all settled on the couch with baby Alice nestled comfortably in (y/n)'s arms.
As the movie started, Max's curiosity got the best of him, and he turned to Hobie with wide-eyed wonder. "Who's that?" he asked, pointing at the main character on the screen.
"That's Simba," Hobie replied with a smile. "He's the lion cub and the future king."
"Why does he look sad?" Max inquired, his eyes fixed on the screen.
Hobie patiently explained, "Simba lost his dad and has to go on a big adventure to find himself and become the king he's meant to be."
Max nodded thoughtfully and seemed satisfied with the answer. But his inquisitive nature wasn't satisfied yet, and he bombarded Hobie with more questions throughout the movie. "Why are they singing? What's that animal called? Why is she wearing a dress?" Hobie answered each query with enthusiasm, happy to engage in Max's curiosity.
(y/n) chuckled softly, admiring Hobie's patience and how he interacted with Max. She couldn't help but feel grateful for having someone like him in her life, someone who not only embraced her family but also took the time to bond with her younger relatives.
As the movie played on, the room filled with a sense of warmth and joy. Baby Alice seemed fascinated by the colorful characters on the screen, her eyes fixated on the dancing animals and vibrant scenery. Every now and then, she would let out a contented coo, as if she were trying to join the conversation in her own baby language.
The movie continued, and Hobie and (y/n) exchanged affectionate glances, their hearts full of love and happiness. Despite the initial interruption to their planned relaxing day, they had found something even more meaningful – a chance to share special moments with the little ones, making memories that would last a lifetime.
As the movie drew to a close, Max leaned against Hobie, his eyes drooping with drowsiness. (y/n) gently rocked baby Alice, and soon, she too began to drift off to sleep, her little fingers curling around (y/n)'s thumb.
With the movie ending, Hobie and (y/n) exchanged a quiet smile. The apartment had transformed into a haven of love and laughter, and the unexpected visit had brought them closer in ways they couldn't have foreseen.
Hobie carefully lifted Max into his arms, cradling the sleepy toddler as they prepared to say goodbye to Alice and head home. But in that moment, (y/n) knew that the memories they created that day would forever hold a special place in their hearts, reminding them of the joy that can be found in the most unplanned moments.
•••
As (y/n)'s relative gathered her children to leave, she turned to Hobie and (y/n) with a grateful smile. "Thank you both so much for watching the kids. I know it was an unexpected request, but I couldn't have asked for better babysitters. You two are amazing with them!"
Hobie and (y/n) exchanged pleased glances, feeling a sense of pride in having cared for the little ones so well. "It was our pleasure," (y/n) replied, gently handing baby Alice back to her relative. "Anytime you need help, don't hesitate to ask."
With that, Alice and Max were on their way home, leaving Hobie and (y/n) alone once again in the tranquility of the apartment. As the door closed behind them, they let out a sigh of contentment, their hearts still warmed by the precious moments they had shared with the kids.
Hobie settled back onto the couch, pulling (y/n) close to him. He grinned mischievously and said, "You know what, love? I want a baby now."
(y/n) looked up at him, a mix of surprise and joy in her eyes. "Are you serious, Hobie?"
He nodded, his eyes filled with sincerity. "Yeah, I mean, seeing you with those kids, it made me realize how incredible you'd be as a mother. And I can't imagine anything better than starting a family with you."
Her heart swelled with love for him, and she leaned in to kiss him softly. "I'd love to have a family with you, Hobie," she whispered, her voice filled with warmth and affection. "But let's take our time and enjoy each other for now. When the time is right, we'll make that beautiful dream come true."
Hobie smiled, understanding and respecting her wishes. He knew that their love was strong and that they had a lifetime ahead of them to explore parenthood when the timing felt perfect.
They spent the rest of the day in each other's arms, basking in the love they shared. Their hearts were filled not only with love for each other but also with the newfound joy of spending time with little ones. The unexpected visit had brought them closer than ever before, igniting a desire to create a future together filled with laughter, love, and the pitter-patter of tiny feet.
As the evening sun painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, Hobie and (y/n) knew that this day would forever hold a special place in their hearts. It had been a day of unexpected surprises, of building beautiful memories, and of realizing that their love had the power to create something magical.
With a sense of gratitude for the day they had shared, they snuggled up together on the couch, looking forward to the countless adventures and cherished moments that awaited them in the journey of love and life.

★ melt ; hobie.
synopsis. the love hobie has for you is eternal.
info. fluff, hobie brown x gn!reader, 481 words.
warnings. words of affirmation (?), kissing, physical touch, couple uses of y/n, grammatical errors :P
the giggle that wisps past your lips is pure happiness to hobie.
the way your eyes crinkle when you smile your goofy, toothy grin. or how your eyebrows knit together when you're attempting to understand a joke. or the way you curl into yourself when laughing, clutching your chest as if it would help the chuckles die down.
you look so unbelievably pretty under the moonlight, eyes twinkling as the stars reflect in them. the way your laughter continues to float around in the night sky, echoing into his ears as a constant reminder of how beautiful you are.
it honestly doesn't surprise him, you're the epitome of perfect and as he continues to watch you underneath the moonlight, he can't help but helplessly gaze at you.
he silently watches you, listening intently to all the things you have to say because everything that puffs past your lips is too important for him to ignore.
"bee?" you're voice is soft like satin, eyes still holding that twinkle. he cracks a smile at your crooked grin, head tilting sideways as if silently asking what was wrong. "everything okay?".
he nods once, twice.
"what's going on in that head of yours?" you ask.
hobie shrugs, "you're beautiful, y'know that?".
his words are warmer than a cup of sweet black tea, and from the sound of it, it seems as if he was holding that in for quite sometime. your eyes grow wide alongside your smile. he smiles at the way you trip over your words, all twenty-six letters of the alphabet nowhere to be seen as you open and close your mouth like a fish out of water.
"w- well i — thank you, bee..." you finally say, bumping your shoulder into his as that all to familiar giddy feeling begins to wrap itself around your body like a warm blanket on a chilly night.
it takes you a second to collect your bearings, cheeks flushed a beautiful strawberry hue as you glance around the night sky. your heart is thumping against your chest at an animalistic pace as if you ran a marathon, your face hot.
"you're beautiful too," you whisper out into the night sky. hobie hums, scooting closer to you so your shoulders and knees were touching.
"so, so beautiful, bee. everything about you is —"
"perfect?" he finishes your sentence, easily catching your attention. you take a hard look at him, drinking in his features as you slowly nod. the two of you gaze into each other's eyes before you burst out laughing.
"yeah, i tend to have that effect on people" you joke around, placing your head upon his shoulder, wrapping both your arms around one of his lanky ones. "you're lucky i love ya', you geezer" he mutters, placing a kiss to the crown of your head before resting his cheek against it.
"yeah, yeah. i love you too."

London was a cold, dreary place. You didn’t belong there, no, sticking out like a sore thumb from the cold, harsh corners of buildings that grazed the clouds and the damp, narrow streets. But you were there anyway, almost as often as you spent time in your own quaint universe, where York was nothing but homey cottages and endless green fields of flowers, strawberries, and farmer’s markets.
You were there for your boyfriend, who cared for the people of the city enough to criticize its leaders—a feat the large portion of the country couldn’t be bothered doing.
Today was a long day of protesting. Inhumane laws were being passed, the government was in shambles, and the PM was a fucking joke. You wanted to be there for him and show him support—it wasn’t your universe, sure, but it was important to you, anyway. Nobody deserved to live in fear of tomorrow.
The two of you made your way back up into Hobie’s dingy little apartment when the sky began to grey with gloomy clouds and cold rain dribbled down dirty rooftops. Hobie slammed the door behind him, the faded Sex Pistols poster loosely tacked on the back warbling with the sudden movement. In turn, you made a bee-line for his bed on the opposite side of the room—really, Hobie’s apartment was just a narrow rectangle, with a cramped bed in one corner, a beaten-up green sofa in another, and the kitchen furthest away from the door. There was another door by the other end that led to the bathroom with cracked mirrors. All the walls were covered with art, posters, random memorabilia, and stickers.
It was a claustrophobe’s nightmare, but it was home to Hobie, which made it your home, as well.
You moaned with relief when you laid down on his thick comforter, shutting your eyes for a moment. Still leaning against the door, Hobie watched you eagle-spread over his bed with a small, amused smile.
He could never get over how funny you looked, surrounded by dark colors and ripped clothes and filthy artwork, when you yourself were the exact opposite—all soft hues and gentle nature and sunshine. Hobie loved that about you. How you were unabashedly so lovely no matter where you were, or what you were doing.
“You falling asleep on me, Cheeky?” he asked, voice lilting with the affectionate pet name, languidly striding over to sit onto the mattress beside you. The bed creaked with protest under the additional weight.
“Mhm,” you hummed in reply, turning your head so you could offer him a tired grin. “Rain always gets me sleepy.”
The silver of his piercings glinted with what little light streamed through his window. “Take a nap, then, yeah? I’ll wake you up for dinner.”
With your final murmur of thanks, Hobie dipped down to sweep the hair away from your face, placing a chaste kiss to your forehead, before standing back up to go fix himself a snack.
Hours later, when you had only begun to twitch with the beginnings of a nightmare, Hobie had gently shaken you awake, beaming at the way your nose wrinkled and your heavy eyes fluttered open to meet his bright ones.
“Rise and shine,” he greeted, smoothing out the creases of the shirt you were wearing. “Well, it’s not really shinin’ out there, innit? Rise and gloom.”
A steaming cup of peppermint tea was pushed into your hands. You didn’t even have to taste it to know that he’d added just the right amount of sugar for you. “Thanks, Hobie,” you mumbled, craning your neck to kiss his cheek.
“Got you somethin’ from the chippie—it’s in the microwave whenever you want it.”
Still groggy, you loosely wound your arms around his neck to tug him into a warm embrace, careful not to spill any of the tea. Half of your body was slung over his legs, the other hanging off the bed. Without hesitation, Hobie’s long arms came around to pull you tighter against him, hugging you close.
“Argh, you’re just too good to me,” you whispered, clutching him tight. “How much was the food?”
“Ah, ah,” he said, pulling away to click his tongue and shake his head. “Don’t worry about it. My shitty universe, my shitty quid.”
With an affectionate roll of your eyes, you pulled away from him. “Alright, well, next time we’re at my place, I’m treating you.”
“Would expect nothing less, Cheeky.”
The two of you shared the microwaved dinner from the chippie together, the large fries nearly burning your tongue and the fish drenched in far too much vinegar for your taste, but the two of you ate it happily regardless.
After the food was cleaned out, you curled up into Hobie’s sofa—which smelled just like the mango perfume you had given to him for his birthday—and brandished the sewing kit you had kept here, hidden beneath the cushions. Your boyfriend took a seat beside you, his guitar situated over his lap and a dull pocket knife gripped in his hand. He took to engraving his initials against its side (and planned on engraving yours right next to it), as you pulled his leather vest closer, stitching one of the patches that had come loose back on.
A comfortable silence stretched over the both of you, like a warm blanket draped over your shoulders. It was only broken by Hobie’s disjointed humming to a song you couldn’t recognize, and the soft pattering of rain outside.
Once he was done with the ‘B’ of his last name, he peered over your shoulder, leaning down to press a kiss to the base of your neck. “How’s it coming?”
You turned with a sweet smile, one that made Hobie’s chest warm. To him, you were the literal embodiment of sunshine. “All fixed,” you chirped, nudging him slightly. “How’s the guitar?”
“Good as ever. D’you mind if I put your name next to mine?”
Your eyes shone. “Go ahead,” you replied, before reaching down to fish something out of your pocket. “Oh, I totally forgot—I embroidered this for you! Made it from my own synthesized silk ‘n everything.”
It was another patch, about half the size of his palm, depicting a bright red strawberry sitting against an equally vibrant yellow backdrop. A genuine smile flickered over Hobie’s countenance.
“Oh, this is wicked, Y/N! Looks fuckin’ fab,” he exclaimed, leaning closer to inspect all the tiny details. Somehow, his beam grew wider. Hobie situated the patch over an empty spot on his vest. “Could you sew it here?”
You nodded whilst humming an affirmative. A rush of heat pulsed over your face when Hobie leaned down to kiss your cheek, pulling back with an obnoxious mwah.
“You’re a talent, you know that? Thank you.”
It was a few minutes later when you showed him his vest—finally ready and decked out with a multitude of both new and fixed patches. In turn, he showed you your name etched right next to his. Overwhelmed by just how much you loved your boyfriend, every single bit of his punk, anarchist self, you threw yourself into his open arms, hugging him tight. A flower appeared behind his ear, and he pinched it between two fingers, pulling it away to inspect its small white petals and smooth green stem. With a hum, Hobie pushed it back onto his ear and returned your embrace.
A week later, you and Hobie were at another underground music concert, filled to the brim with punk rock enthusiasts and anarchists of the very same ilk as him. Seeing as he was the last gig to play, the night ended with an elongated guitar riff, and Hobie’s fist thrusting high up as the final notes crashed against the cheering crowd. It wasn’t long before he was hopping off the rickety stage, immediately greeted with your wide smile and more tiny flowers blooming within the moist cracks of the sidewalk by your feet.
“You did amazing!” you exclaimed, bouncing on the heels of your feet excitedly. “Argh, I’m so proud of you! When you did that thing—with that guitar—and then you just—AH! I loved it, Hobie!”
Your boyfriend slung an arm over your shoulders, briefly pressing his nose against your hairline. “Thanks, Cheeky.” He glanced at the large box you were holding. “What’s all this now?”
“Merchandise,” you chirped with bright eyes. “Made it all myself back in my universe. Free of charge, of course. Everyone deserves to enjoy art without worrying about its price.”
Hobie swore he fell in love with you just a smidge more right then and there.
With nimble fingers, he plucked a bundle out of the box, unfurling it to reveal a dark black t-shirt with a messy crimson scrawl of ANARCHY! across the chest. To his fond delight, there was a little flower drawn just beneath the large text. A touch of him, and a touch of you.
Not waiting another second, Hobie slipped the shirt over his head, one of his piercings momentarily snagging against the collar. You were quick to shift the box onto one arm so you could help him safely tug the shirt down without ripping his earlobe into two.
After murmuring his thanks, Hobie cupped his palms over his hands to yell, “Oi, you lot! Come ‘round here for free shirts! Made by the loveliest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing!”
The two of you stayed at the venue until all your shirts were given away, and even then there were a few stragglers left, disappointed they hadn’t gotten anything.
“Come to Hobie’s next gig, I’ll bring some more things by then,” you reassured them with a kind smile.
After another series of goodbyes, Hobie finally pulled you out of the dingy venue, his hand curled over your upper back and your arm wrapped around his hips.
Hobie was a true artist. Everything he touched, he could turn into something of beauty, something raw and pure and breathtaking. When you had vocalized such thoughts to him, he smirked, loose and humored.
“Don’t like labels,” he said, gaze fixed on his guitar and the uncapped marker he was using to draw just beneath the strings. “You sure you’re not biased?”
“Not at all,” you hummed in reply, leaning against him. The two of you were in your universe, laying spread over a checkered blanket on a vast field not too far from your little cottage. The grass was greener than what Hobie had back home, and the air was clearer and lighter than anything he’d ever breathed before. Somehow, the breeze that whistled between the two of you smelled of strawberries and peaches—or maybe that was your perfume. Hobie couldn’t get enough of it, either way. Your universe was beautiful—nearly as beautiful as you were.
Whilst he was concentrating on his scribbled drawings, you were tinkering with one of your web shooters—a series of miniscule gadgets with brown fixings to wrap around your wrist. Once you clicked it back into place, you jutted it out to Hobie, the round capsules hovering only inches beneath his nose.
He laughed, gently pulling your hand away so he wouldn’t go cross-eyed. “You make these yourself?”
“Synthesized them with all natural ingredients. Took a lot of trial-and-error, but I think I’ve finally perfected the colored formula,” you said, pressing down with both your middle and index finger, showing him how the webs shot out so far he couldn’t even see where it disappeared within the swishing blades of grass.
Arching a brow, he echoed, “Colored formula?”
You grinned. “Take a look. I made them green! I think it’s much prettier than plain ol’ white,” you said.
“Green spider webs, huh? You really are something else,” he surmised with a half-chuckle, half-snort, a goofy smile to his lips. Your excitement was beginning to rub off on him, so he took your hands again, admiring your craftsmanship. “These are so fucking cool.”
“I could make you colored webs, too—whatever color you want!” You perked up with the idea, smiling brighter than the golden sun hanging sweetly in the soft pink sky (the skies were pink during the day in your universe, it was trippy as hell). Little flowers bloomed around you, a few appearing in the surrounding grass, some popping into his hair, others materializing on your flowing blouse.
Flustered, you reached over to pluck out the flowers in his hair, murmuring a quiet apology.
“Nah, it’s cute,” he reassured you, shooting you a curious look. “So—does your universe have others that are also called ‘mutants’ or is it just you?”
“There’s not a lot of us,” you admitted. “It was scary, at first. I was completely… normal until I hit thirteen years old—all of a sudden, flowers started blooming everywhere and I couldn’t stop. I couldn’t control it and it only grew worse the more scared I got. A man named Charles Xavier took me under his wing at his school for gifted students—well, that’s just a code word for mutants—and he helped me train to control it. Obviously… not well enough—flowers still sprout when I feel strong emotions.”
Hobie’s nose wrinkled. “My fault. You like me a bit too much, Cheeky.”
With a playful shove, you huffed out a tinkering laugh. “Anyways, while I was at the school, there was a student with the ability to turn objects radioactive. Highly dangerous, and he could’ve been used as a weapon of war if in the wrong hands. One day, he was just fucking around and… he accidentally turned a spider radioactive. He didn’t tell anyone because he was scared he was going to get in trouble. Lo and behold, it got loose, and the next day, it bit me while I was out on a walk. So not only was I a mutant, I became a Spider, as well. I trained with my newfound powers every day in the Danger Room. I graduated top of nearly all my classes. And not too long after, Miguel came popping out of nowherethe look on his face when flowers started appearing all over his suit was hilarious.” You chuckled lightly, leaning your head against Hobie’s shoulder. “Your powers are much cooler, though. I wish I had electric abilities.”
The marker in Hobie’s hand was quickly capped, and put to the side so he could raise it to stroke the back of your head. “Flower power is cool as fuck, what are you on about?”
You smiled. Another flower, a fragile pink thing, blossomed onto his lap. Hobie barked out a roguish laugh.
“I love you,” you hummed.
“Love you back, Cheeky.”
Nueva York was the exact antithesis to your world. Everything was new and modern and cutting-edge, heavy on minimalism and plain white canvases of nothing. It lacked art and humanity and just… life, in general. You didn’t really enjoy coming to this universe—the only reason you did was to help out with anomalies whenever you were needed. Though you didn’t quite agree with Miguel’s canon theory (it was messy and evidently didn’t apply to every Spider), you had to agree that villains running amok in rogue universes was no good for anyone. You had personal experience with the matter when a glitching Mysterio came tumbling through a farmer’s market in your universe, baskets of fruit flying every which way and bouquets trampled beneath his descent.
Today, however, you were called in because of your boyfriend. His hologram had appeared over your wrist, offering you a loose smile and a two-fingered salute.
“Hey, Hobie,” you greeted, pausing your baking and brushing errant strands of your hair away with flour-covered hands. “What’s going on?”
“I’m at HQ. Heading over to see Miguel. D’you mind coming, if you’re not too busy?”
“Oh, uh, sure,” you said, heading over to the wash basin to rinse off your hands. “Is everything okay?”
The hologram of Hobie hummed, warbling as you rushed to change out of your clothes and into your suit—a white top with beige and green accents, webbing into a spiral around an embroidered collection of flowers on your chest shaped into a spider. Your boyfriend lowered his voice to say, “The original is here.”
“Original?”
“The first anomaly.”
“Oh,” you said, eyes widening a fraction. Oh.
Hobie pursed his lips. Though he was doing well to hide it, you could see the buried worry behind his dark irises. The both of you were well aware that Miguel wouldn’t take this lightly. “Yeah. You’ll be here?”
“I’ll be there. See you in a minute, yeah?”
“Yeah. I’ll be waiting by the Spider-burger place. Love ya, Cheeky.” With that, he flickered out of view. You blew out a breath, snagged a bag from your room, and pressed a few buttons on your watch. A glowing orange portal opened by your kitchen door. You stepped through, and a tunnel, an elevator, and a hall later, you found yourself at the heart of Spider Society.
Hundreds of Spidermen, Spiderwomen, and Arachnids alike were passing by, chattering aimlessly, or rushing to wrangle their anomalies to the Go-Home Machine. After weaving through the crowd, you made your way to the McSpiders booth, where they sold the most delicious burgers, but you didn’t think you had time for that today.
Hobie was waiting at one of the tables, Pav glued to his side, and Gwen on the other.
Your boyfriend waved, shooting you a wink just as Pavitr shot up, dashing forward to envelop you in a tight hug.
“It’s been so long!” the younger Spider exclaimed. “How’ve you been? How are you?”
“I’m good, Pav,” you warmly replied, patting his back affectionately. Then, you waved to Gwen, who looked a little uncomfortable at the predicament she was in, but tried her best to push it down for a moment to say hello.
You gave her a warm embrace, squeezing tight, a nonverbal confirmation of telling her you were there for her. Knowing that she was technically universeless, both you and Hobie would often let her crash over at your respective places. In fact, she slept in one of your extra rooms so much it was practically hers by now, filled with plenty of her personal belongings. She was one of your closest friends, and seeing her so anxious did nothing but fill you with worry.
Once you pulled away from your two friends, you gave Hobie a quick hug, kissing his cheek. Pav cooed obnoxiously whilst Gwen lightly joked for the two of you to get a room.
Hobie shoved at the blonde’s shoulder with scoff. “Come off it, we wouldn’t have the time anyway.”
Finally, you turned your gaze to the last one in the group—Miles Morales.
It was certainly strange to see him in the flesh, when he was such a popular topic of discussion amongst the verse-traveling Spiders. He was a gangly yet handsome boy, with a head of dark, curly hair, and large brown eyes.
He offered you a nervous smile. “So, uh, you must be Y/N! I’ve heard a lot about you.”
“I can say the same thing,” you replied, thinking back to all the times Gwen would lounge in your bed and tell you about her time helping Miles with Kingpin. “It’s nice to put a face to your name after all this time.”
“Yeah, yeah, same.” Awkward as ever, Miles let out something akin to a laugh. His eyes darted down when he noticed Hobie’s hand slipping over your midriff. “So! You’re Hobie’s partner, right? I thought he didn’t believe in consistency.”
You grinned when Hobie drummed his fingers along your hip, shrugging in a nonchalant manner. “If I was inconsistent all the time, that’d be me being consistent, no? Keep with the times, mate.”
Confused, Miles’ lips parted to ask another question but you shook your head. “Just don’t question it. God knows how many times I’ve stumped myself trying to figure him out.”
Hobie shot you an amused look. Before anyone could say anything else, Gwen swung onto her feet, shifting her weight in a fidgety manner. “We should probably get a move on, before Miguel gets mad.”
“Oh, yeah, of course. You guys mind filling me in with what happened on the way?”
And so the five of you set off, with Pav and Gwen taking turns on telling you what had transpired in Mumbhattan, with Hobie occasionally chiming in. Miles was far too enamored by all the other Spiders to really pay attention to what they were saying.
Once you were all informed, you supplied a worried look in Miles’ direction. Stopping a canon event from happening… Miguel definitely wouldn’t be happy about that.
Sensing your eyes on him, Miles met your eyes. “Is there something on my face?” he asked.
“Oh, no. Sorry. I was just distracted.” A flower popped on your shoulder, and another appeared in Miles’ hair. He pulled it out with a surprised raise of his brows.
“Huh. That’s new,” he said with a slightly curious smile. “So, you and Hobie! I guess I just didn’t expect him to be with someone so…”
You tilted your head. “So…?”
“I don’t know,” he admitted. “You guys look, like, complete opposites.”
Pavitr clapped his hands. “Well, opposites do attract!”
With half a smile pulling at one corner of his mouth, Hobie chimed, “We aren’t complete opposites. We both have a crippling hatred for capitalism and greedy billionaire corporations.”
“That we do,” you agreed, beaming warmly at him. Suddenly, you perked up, remembering what you had brought with you. “Oh, I almost forgot! Pav, Gwen—I made you tote bags a while ago and haven’t gotten the chance to give it to you guys. They’re all made from ethically sourced materials, of course. Sorry, Miles, I would’ve made you one if I’d known I was going to meet you today.”
“It’s no problem. There’ll be a next time, right?” he said, watching as you handed the rolled up bags to an excited Pav, bouncing on the balls of his feet with a litany of thank you so much, this is amazing on his tongue, and a hesitant Gwen, smiling despite being so strung-up to face Miguel.
“Right… A next time…” you echoed, unsure if there’d even be a next time if Miguel had his way with things.
Everything was going wrong.
Miguel went too far, as he often did in his tunnel-visioned haze for order, and trapped Miles in a laser cage, intending to keep him in Nueva York while his father died back in his home universe. A sick feeling curdled within the pits of your stomach—none of this felt right to you. Peter and Gwen were yelling at Miguel, their words washing over you in a blur, like the crashing and the retreat of a wave against an unsuspecting shore.
You watched helplessly as Miles turned around, betrayal lacing heavily across his crestfallen features, staring at the people he had once considered his friends. For half a second, Miles caught your gaze. Anxious flowers—various shades of violet and scarlet—blossomed by your feet. To your side, your boyfriend held both his hands up, gaze fixed on Miles.
“Palms,” he silently mouthed.
Heeding his advice, Miles pressed both his palms against the barrier.
And three beats of a heart later, he had broken free. A blast of energy pushed everybody back a few feet, and you could hear Hobie’s faint laughter echo right beside your ear. You couldn’t help but smile along with him.
Someone had to look out for the little guy, right?
Apparently, Miguel had other ideas. He wasn’t a rational man. No, he was a perfectionist to the core, needing everything to go according to his plan, his theory, his ideology. When the stakes were this high, who was to say no to him? And now, he had somehow convinced nearly the entire population of the Spider Society to chase after a fifteen year old.
Then what? Lock him up? Force him away from his home and wait out his father’s death?
No. It wasn’t right. None of it was.
As pandemonium broke out during the chase after Miles, Hobie gave you a glance. “Just for the record, I quit,” he announced. It wasn’t directed at you, per se, but it was important to him that you knew of his stance. That he wouldn’t sit around and idly twiddle his thumbs at this bullshit.
A portal opened behind him, bathing his dark skin in a bright clementine glow. He unclasped his watch and let it fall to the ground. “You coming, Cheeky?”
“I’ll meet you at your place,” you reassured him. An unspoken trust me hung heavy between you. A white little wildflower appeared in his hair, but Hobie didn’t move to pluck it away. Instead, he ducked his head to press a lasting kiss onto your forehead. You shot him a fond grin before leaning forward to peck his cheek in return, and hurriedly rushed off to go help Miles, canary-hued flowers floating behind you with every swing.
It was by pure chance that you happened upon Miles and Peter, the latter begging for him to hold his baby, which he most definitely shouldn’t have brought along to a chase. You hid behind a large metal pipe, waiting for Miles to leave Peter. It wasn’t long before Miles was running away again, believing his mentor had betrayed him once again, and you were quick to follow after him. Green webs shot out from the fixings on your wrist, and you caught up to the younger Spider in no time.
“Miles!” you exclaimed.
“Please, just let me go back home!” he yelled, stress and panic coiled around his words as he rounded around cars and signs.
Guilt settled around your lungs in a constricting manner. You’d lend him your watch to get home, but with a quick glance behind you, noting the several dozens of Spiders hot on your tail, you realized that there was no way that he’d make it there in time without them following after. There had to be another way.
“That’s what I’m trying to do,” you replied, trying your best to convey that you were on his side. “Trust me, I’m with you on this! If not for you becoming Spider-Man, there’d be no Spider Society, and I would’ve never met Hobie. Of course I’d try to help you, Miles! Listen to me—there’s a bullet train that goes to the moon here—if you draw all the Spiders away from HQ, then you can use the Go-Home machine to get back to your universe!”
Miles shot you an initially dubious glance, which soon melded into one of cautious appreciation. “Where?”
“A couple miles that way! You won’t miss it—it’s a huge glass tube going up to space.” You nodded in the direction he was to be headed. “Good luck, Miles. I’m rooting for you!”
With a shout of his gratitude and a slight smile, Miles swung away from you.
It’s a shame that this was goodbye. Both you and Hobie were really starting to grow on him.
It was raining again, as it almost always was in gloomy London. You were in bed with Hobie, having passed out after letting him know about how you helped Miles, and listening to him tell you about the watch he made for Gwen, knowing she’d most likely need it later down the line if things didn’t work out. He was taking up most of the space on the bed, one arm behind his head on the pillow and the other curved beneath the small of your waist, fingers splayed out over your stomach. Chests rising and falling in synchronized tandem, you were curled up onto your side so that your spine brushed against his side with each breath.
Nightmares weren’t a common thing for you, but when they did slink into your unconscious mind, they were always terrifyingly realistic, and always of the same event. Your canon event.
Tonight was no different.
Soft pink skies. Swinging through the trees after something—someone. Prowler.
The forest gave way to steep mountains. Steep stones and ice and cliffs. The pink above you bled into a menacing shade of purple.
Nets of webbing shooting from your wrists. Desperation. Pleads on your tongue, but you didn’t quite know what you were saying.
The villain tripped over the webbing, rolling down a mountainside that tapered off into a sheer drop. You darted forward, shooting out a web to catch the Prowler.
But it was too late.
They tipped over the edge, stray pebbles tumbling down in their wake. If the Prowler screamed, you couldn’t hear it over the thrumming blood in your ears.
It took over a minute for their body to hit the ground with a sickening thud.
Horror stained your insides black. You weren’t quick enough. You failed.
You made your way down the mountain, wide eyes fixed on the motionless body. You crept forward, checking for a pulse. Dead.
Gingerly, you peeled the mask away from their face. The hazy face of your best friend stared back up at you, beaten and bloody.
Your fault, your fault, your fault—
You woke up with a gut-wrenching sob, jolting up with a broken wail. Hobie had startled from his slumber at the sudden commotion, quick to prop himself up on an elbow, his hand shooting out to properly wrap around you.
Comforting words were murmured into your hair. You only cried harder, gently pushing the blankets away from you, feeling overwhelmingly hot and crowded. It took you another moment to realize that you were hyperventilating, large flowers popping up everywhere around the two of you.
“Breathe,” you could hear your boyfriend say, tracing slow circles along your lower back. “That’s it, love. You got this.”
After a few minutes, your breaths had slowed down, and the tears stopped flowing. You sniffled quietly, turning to Hobie with an apology on the tip of your tongue.
“Don’t apologize,” he said, seeming to know exactly what was on your mind. “You alright?”
“Nightmare,” you whispered in return, voice hoarse with disuse and thirst. “My canon event. It’s my fault Prowler died. My best friend.”
Another circle along your spine. “You wanna talk about it?”
Your eyes, puffy and red-rimmed, blinked back more cresting tears. You nodded, croaking out the tragic story of you and your best friend—the Spider and the Prowler. Hobie listened intently, humming soothingly into your skin.
Once you were finished, he adamantly shook his head. “You can’t blame yourself for that. It’s not your fault.”
But it is, you wanted to say. You swallowed the words, deciding instead to remain quiet and simply lean further into his touch.
“I love you,” he said, voice low and soothing. “You hear me, Cheeky?”
“I hear you. Thank you for… for always being there for me. You’re the punkest punk that’s ever punked.”
A hum rumbled from his throat. “I’ll always be here for you. I trust you’ll do the same for me. We’re all broken, but… it’s a good thing we Spiders got sticky webs to keep us together, yeah?” A pause before Hobie backtracked, “That didn’t come out the way I intended it to but you get my point.”
You wrinkled your nose in amusement. “Yeah. I’m glad we found each other in all this chaos, Hobbes.”
“Mmh. Nothing better than a bit of chaos, innit?”
The two of you sat in silence for a bit longer, simply soaking in each other’s comforting presence. When you arched your neck to press a lasting kiss along the underside of Hobie’s jaw, you could feel his face shift with a fond smile. Before he could reciprocate the gesture, a tangerine glow shone from outside the window, warbling with the rain, but still a stark juxtaposition to the macabre grey of the city.
Both you and Hobie peered out of the window, limbs still tangled.
Outside was Gwen, her cowl pulled over her uneven strands of blonde-pink hair, hexagonal portal rings shifting behind her. Her features were solemn and grim as she locked eyes with the both of you. You and Hobie glanced at each other. Small pink flowers started to bloom along the windowsill, much to your chagrin.
With not another second of hesitation, the two of you leapt out of bed, hastily yanking on your suits and swinging out of the window to join Gwen.
To join her in saving Miles Morales, and, ultimately, the multiverse.

Hello! I hope you're doing well:))
I was wondering if you could write some hcs for a male reader with brain problems like chronic headaches, memory loss, vision problems, etc. Preferably with any male character from ATSV
I hope this was detailed enough, thank you for your time:)
It was detailed just fine <3 if there’s any miscommunication or information just lemme know and I’ll fix it! I’m working on writing for a few more ATSV chars but for now it’s only Miles and Hobie! Anyways I think that-
Miles is pretty understanding of your situation. You may have to explain your problems to him in detail but afterwards he’s pretty much got it. He does so much research because he doesn’t want to seem uneducated nor does he want to belittle you accidentally. Makes an effort to help you remember stuff you’re often forgetting, so much so that he’s joked about being your personal assistant. He also carried headache pills in his bag for you for when your head pain starts, even if it only helps a little he’d rather that than you be in pain for any longer than you need to be. Helps you whenever he can with your eyesight, more so whenever you need. Like I said he’s a bit afraid to cross any boundaries so he’ll only help if/when you ask!
Hobie, like Miles, is very understanding when it comes to your memory issues. He’s smart, and uses things like music to help you guide your memory when he can. He never holds things against you when you forget and usually just plans ahead for you. You forgot your jacket on a cold night out? Yeah, he knows, he’s got it covered. Check his bag there’s an extra one there. Loves to play softer tunes for you as to not overstimulate any of your senses. Is always holding your hand as well when you’re in public so you feel a bit safer as well.

hobie brown — “how about a kiss before i go?”
reader can’t tell if he’s just being his flirty self but just goes with it (fluff)
"how about a kiss before i go?" + hobie brown
hi anon!! thank u for the request and sorry for the wait. i finally got out of writers block so i hope u enjoy this little blurb <3 also this is really short so sorry about that !! not much warnings just kisses & mentions of piercings.
"do you really have to go?" you ask. "i'll be home before y'know it darling." he replies, "it's just a bit, are you gonna miss me that much?" he teases, causing you to be all shy and flustered.
you love his flirty attitude, how he'll send you winks and witty responses that'll make your cheeks turn pink. how he's always touching you, whether it's his arm on your waist or his hands intertwining with yours.
you usually just go along with it.
"and what if i do miss you that much?" you pout. he smiles, "how about a kiss before i go?" he leans in. you chuckle, you can't really tell if he's joking, his heavy accent is covering his sarcasm.
"i'm worried you're the one who's gonna miss me." you joke, but interrupted by hobie's lips crashing into yours, you could feel his lip piercings clashing with your soft lips.
"i'll come back in a minute, love you darling." he smiles, "love you."

THIEF, H.Brown
Hobie Browne x fem!!supervillain!!reader summary: y/n and Spider-Punk have always had a complicated relationship, torn between fighting and flirting most of the time. But that gets put to the test when danger is afoot. tw!! swearing, kissing? violence, sexual innuendos notes - I am yet to read the Spider-Punk comics so if some of this doesn't seem accurate to his world I do deeply apologise- I'll be doing research whilst writing to make sure I don't mess anything up for him :)
"COULD YOU ACTUALLY KEEP WATCH THIS TIME?"HER ACOMPLACE, MAX, SPOKE TOWARDS A DAYDREAMING Y/N.
She snickered and glanced to him. --"I always keep watch."She said simply. He hummed in response as he picked the lock of the British museum.
"And yet somehow- Spider-Punk always somehow manages to stop us before we can even steal anything."His tone held annoyance to which she only grinned in response. --"Spider-Man."She corrected with a pointed finger.
"He hates being called Spider-Punk."She informed him, shrugging after receiving a look from Max. --"Are you certain you don't know his identity?"He scoffed, returning to picking the lock.
"Positive, Max."She lied, her blue eyes moving to staring straight forward.
Her relationship with Spider-Punk was weird from the very beginning but it only got weirder when she figured out who he was under that funny-looking mask.
Hobie Brown.
What's funnier about her knowing his identity is that he has no idea that she knows. She had seen him unmask in an alley months ago. And though she wasn't entirely close with Hobie, to begin with- she knew if she started randomly speaking to him a lot more than she normally would it would arise suspicion.
Believe me, she wanted nothing more than to randomly start speaking to him more, get to know the man beneath the spider-suit but she ultimately decided that it was a terrible idea.
Hobie Brown was better off not knowing that she knows.
"Alright, I don't trust you enough."She snapped her offended attention to Max who had finished picking the lock. --"You get the stuff and I'll keep watch."He ordered.
She sighed but nodded in agreement. --"At least I don't get the boring job this time."She hummed as she disappeared through the museum doors.
Her long blonde hair cascaded down her suit which prompted her to lift her hands and tie it into a ponytail. y/n came from a long line of family burglars unfortunately so she knew exactly how to dress and act when she was stealing from somewhere.
Thus she was dressed in a black bodysuit, and combat boots sat on her feet. She also wore a mask which was tied firmly around her head with a piece of thick ribbon.
Tilting her head back, she glanced around the museum with a small smile on her face. She had never actually been to a museum before. She never had the opportunity to due to her father's demands.
Reaching into her hip bag she pulled out a pouch of white dust. Emptying some onto her gloved hand, she put the pouch back into her bag.
Swallowing nervously she lifted both hands, slapping her hands together so the dust could spread around the room successfully. Within seconds she could see where the security lasers in the room were.
There weren't many, surprisingly.
Eyeing the ones in front of her, she took a few steps back before running forward- successfully dodging the lasers. She stood in the middle of the room just as her phone buzzed.
Her eyebrows pulled together in surprise as she pulled the device out. Her father was always strict to not send anyone messages during a heist so her phone buzzing was incredibly surprising.
MAX - LOOK OUT!! sent at 23:28
Just as she was about to make her way back to Max to figure out what the fuck was going on there was a loud bang.
This loud bang was an explosion coming from the front of the museum. Her eyes widened as she started running towards the back- taking notice of how the lasers had disappeared- the security system must have been destroyed.
Another explosion sounded- this one packing a way bigger punch than the first. The force of the explosion sent her flying, nearby exhibits collapsing at the impact.
She had collapsed to the ground, curling herself up into ball to avoid any pieces of structure falling on her. Once the shaking of the building had come to a stop she pushed herself up to sit on her knees, her eyes wide with confusion.
Just as she turned her attention to the front of the museum a group of thugs come waltzing in, guns in hand. And Max in hand.
Her gaze darkened as she rose to her feet, catching the attention of the one in front.
"well if it isn't, Black Cat."He snickered, he pointed to Max with his gun carelessly. --"Should have known you'd be here if you're little bitch was."He spoke.
She hummed as she walked closer, stepping over pieces of wreckage. The man instantly turned the gun on her prompting her to lift her hands up in defence.
"Drop what you've nicked."He demands. She chuckled and shook her head. --"I haven't even stolen anything yet."She informed him.
The click of his gun is heard as he fires a warning shot to the ground just next to Max, causing the man to flinch in surprise.
"You think am an idiot? Drop it."the gunsman snapped at her. The second the sentence left his lips a web shot out from above, sticking to the mans gun and pulling it away from him.
"Nah."A familiar voice spoke and y/n had to fight the smile on her face. --"I reckon you're an idiot, mate."
Hobie dropped down out of nowhere, standing a couple of feet away from y/n. --"Good one, Spider-Punk." she told him sarcastically, smiling brightly in his direction that she had no doubt he was scrunching his nose up at.
"Don't just gawk you fuckin' idiots!!"the shooter snapped to his men. --"Shoot them."He demanded.
This demand had y/n snapping her head forward in surprise just as an arm suddenly wrapped itself around her figure as she goes flying suddenly.
Hobie, upon hearing the demand had instantly grabbed ahold of y/n to swing her to safety somewhere. He didn't want her getting hurt in the process of him taking these shooters down.
He landed them somewhere behind a pillar, that was as best as he could do without risking being shot at.
"My hero."She mocked as she pressed her back against the pillar, peeking around the corner. --"'don't believe in heroes."He reminded her and she chuckled and glanced at him.
"Then what exactly are you doing, spider?"She mocked. He shrugged and gestured to her, --"Rescuin' a damsel."He responded just as mockingly.
"Lucky for you"She reached into her boot to pull out her own handgun. --"I don't need rescuing." she spoke, leaning forward to glance around the pillar.
"Where the fuck did you get tha'?"He asked, surprised at the weapon she had pulled. --"2293 mind your own business street."She responded as she suddenly moved from one pillar to another.
"What is with the mask? that one's new." He gestured to the mask on her face. --"Oh you don't like?" She teased, turning her head to his.
"Didn't say that, love." He responded, smirking underneath the mask. She smirked and leaned forward a little, --"I'll be sure to wear it more often, then."She told him. His gaze fell to her thigh highs.
"What else you got in those?" He questioned, gesturing to her boots. The smirk never wiped from her face. --"Wouldn't you like to know." She retaliated, her eyelids hooded as she stared up at him.
Hobie swallowed as y/n suddenly moved again from the pillar they were behind to another one, her gun drawn.
He debated staying by her side but ultimately settled on taking down the shooters before they actually hurt someone. y/n watched him disappear up to the roof and she turned her attention forward.
She wasn't actually considering killing anyone, the gun was simply for protection. Spotting one of the shooters she sneaked around the edge of another pillar before running forward and sweeping his legs with her own causing him to fall to his back, she kicked his gun away with her feet and delivered a swift punch to the side of his head, knocking him out instantly.
The click of a gun made her snap her head to the side in surprise only to see the same shooter as before, this time with the gun pointed at Max.
"you're ruining everything you bitch, "he snapped at her as her eyes flickered to Max. --"Let my brother go."She demanded, her voice strong.
The shooter only chuckled at the demand, failing to see the way she had angled her gun in her hands. --"Not happening."he mocked just as she pulled the trigger.
The bullet lodged itself into the shooter's foot. He let out a loud cry of pain, releasing Max as he fell to his ass. y/n rushed over to her brother to make sure he wasn't injured which he wasn't thankfully.
But she was too busy checking on her brother that she completely missed the gun that was pointed in her direction.
BANG!!
A bullet came hurling in her direction, grazing over the corner of her shoulder. A loud cry of pain passed her lips as she doubled over, her hand instantly flying to her shoulder.
Max's eyes widen and he instantly grabs the gun from y/n's hold, pointing it towards the man who had shot at her, shooting him straight through the shoulder.
y/n fell to her knees, grunting in pain as she pressed against her injury. Max kneeled down next to his sister, a worried expression on his face but he knew they didn't have time to dilly dally here.
"y/n, hey- look at me."He cradled her face in his hands. --"We have to get out of here before we're taken."He reminded her, nodding towards Hobie who was nearly finished up with the last remaining shooters.
She huffed out and nodded her head. --"I know. You take the roads I'll take the alley like usual."She mumbled as she stumbled to her feet. Max shook his head.
"You're injured we shouldn't split up-"He attempted to argue but shut up the second y/n shot him a look.
"Road way. Got it."He mumbled, taking a few steps backwards before running off.
Turning her head, y/n kneeled down next to the guy that she had knocked out, ripping off some of his shirt to tie around her injured shoulder.
----
She staggered down an alley, a hand pressed to her shoulder instinctively. Her hand clutched the gun she had stolen from the man she had knocked out, worried she would run into more trouble.
Tonight could have gone a lot smoother.
Not only did she get injured but she had failed to steal anything of meaning from the museum. Boy, was her dad going to be pissed at her and Max.
Perhaps that was why she was taking her time walking through this alley. She could have been home a while ago but she slowed her steps- wishing to enjoy the peace she was getting in that moment.
Not to mention she was going to have to be stitched up and she knew that was going to hurt like a bitch.
"That looks like it hurts a belter."
Her eyes widen and she instantly spun around, the gun pointed at the source of the voice. She relaxed somewhat when seeing Hobie hanging there, upside down, his face covered by his mask.
"Are you following me, bug? I'm flattered." She mused taking a step forward as she dropped her arm holding the gun.
He only chuckled in response. --"You're a wanted thief aren't ya?"He asked sarcastically to which she hummed and nodded her head, pouting her bottom lip as she walked closer to the upside down man.
"You have to be a good thief to actually be wanted."She said with a chuckle, deciding to slip the gun into her boot. She raised an eyebrow, --"You not going to take me in?"
Hobie didn't respond for a moment. --"Nah. I'm not gonna to take you in, y/n."
She was surprised to hear her real name come from him. --"Ah. You know my name now." She put on a brave face as she lifted a hand to pull off his mask. --"Hobie." She finished as she pulled his mask off fully, clutching the fabric in-between her gloved hands.
Hobie didn't have a surprised look on his face. He looked calm and concerned. --"How long have you known?" She questioned after a moment of silence.
"A while. You?"
She raised both of her eyebrows. --"Ditto."
She lifted a finger to press against his eyebrow piercing. --"Always liked you're piercings." She hummed, dropping her eyes to look into his brown ones.
"You goin' to get on with it or not?"He said boldly, she quirked an eyebrow as she scoffed a small laugh, taking another step forward.
And as she leaned closer, she glanced down, taking his shut eyes as consent enough to press her lips against his. Her hands lifted to rest against the side of his face, no longer caring that her shoulder was in agony cos holy fuck she was kissing Hobie Brown.
Hobie, being upside down of course, leaned into the kiss as much as he possibly could but left all the work up to y/n who moved her lips tenderly against his.
They had both wanted this for a while and now knowing who one another was helped significantly with getting across the finish line.
Hobie dropped one of his hands from above him to rest on the back of y/n's head, pushing her further. His fingers tangled themselves in her blonde ponytail, taking enjoyment in twirling chunks of her hair between his fingers.
Of course they knew they couldn't do this for the rest of the night and they are reminded of that fact when a sudden pain shot through y/n's arm causing her to let out an abrupt gasp of pain against Hobie's lips.
She hissed and retracted her lips, leaning her forehead against his chin as she removed her hand from his face and placed it over her injured shoulder.
"you need patchin'" He informed her like it was old news. She chuckled through the pain and nodded her head, shutting her eyes as she tried steadying her heart rate.
The thud of him dropping to the ground in front of her didn't make her open her eyes, she kept them shut, resisting the urge to squeeze her shoulder.
"you can crash at mine, tonight."He told her. Now that did make her snap her eyes open.
"What? Hobie I can't, my dad-"
"You're dad's going to be nicked tonight."he blurted out causing her to pause, her eyes wide.
Hobie was fully aware of the difficult situation that y/n was in with her dad. All of her friends knew that she had a weird relationship with him. And when Hobie found out that she was Black Cat he finally understood why she always seemed so afraid to even mention him.
y/n's dad had been forcing her to steal since she was a child but that could all finally stop if he was going to prison.
"You're free, y/n."He informed her.
y/n hated her father. Always has. He had taught her to steal since she was 5- abusing her when she refused. She had never wanted to be a thief in the first place, she wanted to be an artist. But her dad had always only had money in mind.
But if he was going to be prison she wouldn't have to do this anymore.
Without warning she had lunged forward, wrapping her arms around Hobie's waist. Hobie didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her figure, accepting the hug without a seconds thought.
She pulled back, a small smile on her face as she lifted her hand to pull off her mask. Hobie smiled at that. She handed him back his mask as he noded to her shoulder.
"Let's head to mine."

oh my god imagine brash, stoic, fascist-punching, riot-starting Hobie Brown with a soft, quiet partner (not that they call each other partners, that'd be way too consistent, it's an unspoken agreement of course). Like he's on his way to start a riot, but there they are smelling like lavender so he has to hold them for just a moment before he jumps out the window and hits somebody with his guitar. (I fully believe that that boy has a tendency to go through guitars faster than most people can say guitar. Like he doesn't feel like using his hands to fight? Guitar. Something needs breaking? Guitar. He needs to break something? Guitar. Anyway, Hobie Brown finding in the middle of his chaos, you, would be soo important for him, like he hates consistency, but it's all he asks of you, he remains, and will forever remain inconsistent by demanding your consistency only to combat it with himself and his chaos and whirlwinds.

Part 1
It has been a couple of days since your confession and Hobie was conflicted on whether he should rip the preverbal bandaid off and tell you of his secret identity, and possibly putting you at risk for potentially dangerous circumstances in the future, or keep you in the dark for a little while longer until he felt brave enough with himself and his situation to come forward; After all personal relationships -whether platonic or romantic- and Spider-Man never went well together. It was a sacrifice placed upon the shoulders of all variations who were chosen to dawn the mask of Spider-Man.
For if the legacy of being Spider-Man was a death sentence to those who are close, Hobie doesn’t want you death to be treated as his ‘canon event’ or whatever hand fisted bullshit excuse Miguel was trying to ram down everyone’s throats in order to justify in allowing a loved one of theirs to die. Hobie refuses that being the case and due to his righteous mistrust of Miguel, he kept your name out of his mouth unless it was within the presence of the few he could trust; Miles, Pavitr and Gwen.
‘So they have a crush on you.’ Pavitr began.
‘Yeah.’
‘And you have a crush on them.’ Miles jumped in.
‘Ain’t no point in hiding it.’ Hobie cooly replied because why should he bother hiding the obvious.
‘So…what’re you going to do about it?’ Gwen finishes and Hobie only shrugs in response, ‘dunno.’
Pavitr made an face of exaggerated shock and looks over at Miles and Gwen, who were already expecting this reaction from him as they exchanged looks with him, before looking back at Hobie. ‘Dunno, the person you like has expressed that they like you too-‘ ‘-it wasn’t me they were talking to Pav, it was Spider-Man, clear difference. No need to rom-com it.’ Pavitr waved his comment away and continues on his tangent, ‘they like you, you like them and your response to all that is; Dunno?!’ Hobie -again- shrugs. He really didn’t know what to do, yes the feelings between you two were mutual but that didn’t mean he was going to risk your safety over them; no matter how deeply he feels them to the point where the mere idea of you being put at risk because of him acting out of his selfishness in having you, made him physically hurt.
Hobie would rather enact upon his selfishness in a way that meant letting you go and moving on to someone who wasn’t going to be putting your life in constant danger, whilst also getting to shamelessly cling onto some part of you in the process; even if that meant just being your friend, even though he already knew that wasn’t what you wanted. ‘What do you want me to do Pavitr?’ Hobie began, ‘Go up to them and be like ‘remember the talk you had with Spider-Man up on the roof? Yeah that was me and no I’m not having a laugh because I like you too.’ He made a face at this, ‘nah I’d rather them call me a nonce for the rest of my life, well that is if they still want me in their life afterwards for lying to them this entire time.’ He murmurs the last part to himself mostly and it was silent for a while as he, Pavitr, Gwen and Miles sat on what has been said.
The later three shared a look between them as Hobie looked at a picture of the two of you that he kept within the pockets of his vest, smiling softly to himself as the echos of your laughter ran in his head like a melody he could set his soul adrift to on his most sleepless of nights. It was obvious to Gwen, Pavitr and Miles that Hobie held you close to his chest, right where his heart is; Gwen in particular was aware of how much of an impact you had on Hobie from the times she spent at his place and it was obvious as to where it was that you touched as Hobie made it apparent to keep it that way. You’ve made a home for yourself within Hobie’s heart and she knew that he’d fight to keep you in his life.
‘Hobie,’ he lifted his eyes to meet theirs, ‘would you rather be afraid to tell them who you are for the rest of your life, or tell them while you still have the chance because from what you’ve already told us about y/n, they wouldn’t hate you or call you a nonce, whatever that is.’ Miles mumbled under his breath as Hobie raised his brows, ‘has it crossed your mind at all that you might just overthinking all this? Not to say the fear ain’t real, what I’m trying to get at is this; you should pursue what makes you happiest, regardless of the fears you may have because in the end isn’t it better to have love and lost then to have never have loved at all?’
Hobie mulled on Miles’ advice once he got back to his reality before finding himself standing on that very same rooftop where his conflict began, looking down as he clutched his mask between both hands in contempt, so much so that he didn’t even hear your voice call out to him until you were right next to him. ‘Hobie? Everything alright?’ He had told you prior to meet up on the rooftop of some abandoned apartment complex that you were more then camisole with at this point, but the way he said it made you feel as though there was something eating away at your best friend and you weren’t about to let him go through anything alone without you.
Upon realising how close you were to him, Hobie was slick enough to hide his mask behind his back when he addressed you, stuffing it into his back pocket so that you wouldn’t get overly curious as to his hand placement but then again you were always as observant as him when he noticed the way your eyes lingered, like you already knew what this was about; to which Hobie wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case for it would make this situation a lot easier for you to process what you already knew. ‘Yeah, everything’s cool, why is it that you think somethings up?’ The raise of your brows only told Hobie that you weren’t buying it, ‘oh I think there is but it looks to me that you need a little prompting.’ and without missing a beat your hand was halfway to reaching for his back pocket when he caught your wrist, holding it there as he looked at you incredulously. ‘The hell was that for knobhead.’
You shrugged, ‘like I said, you needed prompting otherwise you wouldn’t be defending whatever’s in your back pocket so adamantly as you are now.’ You were smart, Hobie had to give you that as he lets go of your wrist and decides to quit the unnecessary prolonging and pulled out the mask from his back pocket, chucking it into your awaiting hands as he then sat himself near to the edge with his back facing you so he couldn’t see the look upon your face when you say, ‘so this is what you were hiding from me…I knew Spider-Man felt too familiar and now I know why.’ He heard your footsteps get closer before stopping all together as you sat yourself next to him.
You were both silent but it was a silence loud enough to dampen out anything else in that moment and Hobie didn’t know where this silence would lead to, and neither did you as you were now realising that you had confessed your feelings to your best friend without knowing it; which was already enough to take in but for that friend to also be spider-man was a whole other thing to unpack. Where you mad that he didn’t tell you? No, not even in the slightest but you were more worried then you could ever be mad, after all you just found out your crush and best friend was spider-man for fuck sakes so of course you’d be more worried for his well being. ‘Here,’ you tell him, holding out his mask for him to take, ‘you can have it back.’ Hobie did as you asked and took his mask back, but before it was fully in his grasp you yanked it away from his reach, causing him to look at you.
‘Give it.’ He tells you straightforwardly but you stood your ground as you pressed a finger to your cheek, ‘not until you tell me something first; did you know I had a crush on you prior.’ Hobie shrugs. ‘No, honestly it wasn’t until but you admitted that you liked me that somethings started to make sense.’ You hummed, content with his answer but you weren’t through quite yet. ‘Do you…feel the same.’ You once again asked but this time your voice wasn’t as steady and strong, it was fearful and hesitant; something Hobie never wants you to be when near him.
‘Of course I do, I thought I made it obvious when I personally dealt with those who chatted shit about you behind you back, I thought it was obvious that when I let you into my heart, that there would be no way that I was letting you go but with this,’ he gestured to the mask in your outstretched hand, ‘made it all the more harder for me to do that without putting you in danger; I was hiding this other life from you to protect you but you were always too observant for your own good but it’s one of the many things I love about you.’ Hobie admits, happy he finally got it off of his chest. After hearing all that, you gave him back his mask and rested your head against his shoulder, murmuring, ‘your such a hassle.’
Hobie smiled for what felt like the first time in a long while throughout this whole situation and slugged his arm over your shoulder before resting his head on top of yours, ‘yeah but I’m your hassle.’ He says before pressing a kiss to your head, feeling you as you snuggle into his side, smiling to yourself, ‘how unfortunate.’ You say half heartedly as Hobie joins in, ‘yeah, poor you.’

↱ you’re it for me ↰
➘ summary : this is a Hobie head canon that showcases all the little aspects happening in your relationship with him amongst other things. Keep in mind this will be a lengthy journey of reading and it’s based off of this post that I made a while back
➘ a/n : I’m making a part two to this headcanon because I feel it’s a bit too long lol and I don’t want you guys strolling for ages, so here it goes, part two
Listening to Rock Music Together and Him Creating A Playlist For You :
Hobie Brown's cozy apartment was bathed in the warm glow of soft lighting. The sound of punk music played gently in the background, its melodic notes filling the room with a sense of tranquility. Hobie sat cross-legged on the couch, a small assortment of nail polish bottles spread out on the coffee table in front of him.
Beside him, his girlfriend (y/n) reclined comfortably, a content smile gracing her lips. She watched as Hobie concentrated on the task at hand – painting her nails with the precision of an artist. His brows furrowed in concentration, he dipped the tiny brush into the nail polish and carefully applied it to her nails.
"This color suits you, (y/n)," Hobie remarked, his voice soft as he continued his meticulous work.
(y/n) chuckled softly, glancing down at her nails. "Yeah? I like it too."
As the music continued to play, Hobie's fingers moved with a gentle rhythm that matched the beat. With each stroke of the brush, he seemed to be creating more than just pretty nail art – he was crafting a moment, a memory to be cherished.
Absently, (y/n) tapped her fingers against her thigh in time with the music. A soft smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she closed her eyes, allowing herself to become immersed in the soothing melody. The sound of the punk song enveloped her, blending seamlessly with the cozy atmosphere of the apartment.
"I like how this song sounds," (y/n) mused, her voice a mere whisper.
Hobie's fingers paused for a moment, the brush hovering just above her nail. He looked up at her, a fond glint in his eyes. "Yeah? You have good taste, babe."
They shared a brief, tender smile before Hobie resumed his task. The atmosphere was serene and intimate, the outside world fading away as they embraced this moment together. The punk music played on, acting as the backdrop to their quiet conversation and the soft swishing of the nail polish brush.
As Hobie's artistic endeavor neared its completion, (y/n) opened her eyes and admired the intricate designs on her nails. "You're really talented, Hobie."
Hobie chuckled, a hint of bashfulness in his expression. "Thanks love. It's just something I picked up over the years."
With the last brushstroke, he set the nail polish aside and gently blew on her nails to speed up the drying process. The two of them sat in companionable silence for a moment, the music continuing to play softly in the background.
As the song reached its end, Hobie leaned back and stretched his arms above his head. "Done!"
(y/n) held up her hands, admiring the artwork on her nails with a satisfied grin. "Wow, you really outdid yourself."
Hobie's smile was radiant as he reached over and gave her a quick kiss. "Anything for my favorite gal.”
Their cozy evening continued, filled with laughter, music, and the simple joy of being together. The punk music remained a constant presence, weaving through their interactions and the thoughts of creating a soundtrack for the cherished moments they shared stayed heavy on his mind.
And as they relaxed in each other's company, (y/n) couldn't help but feel grateful for the little things – the music, the artistry, and the love that colored their lives.
A few weeks after the cozy evening in Hobie's apartment and the creation of their shared playlist, he found himself inspired once again. This time, he had a different musical idea in mind – one that he believed would resonate with (y/n)'s spirit and new found love for punk music.
Late one evening, as the city's lights twinkled outside his window, Hobie sat down at his desk with determination. He opened his laptop, his fingers tapping the keyboard with purpose. He knew that this playlist had to be different, edgier, and perfectly aligned with (y/n)'s taste in music.
The words "Punk Anthem" flashed across the screen as he named the new playlist. With a grin, he began scouring his music library for different songs that he believed would resonate with (y/n). Each track was a nod to her vibrant personality, her sense of independence, and the free-spirited energy she brought into his life.
Hobie added songs that had rebellious lyrics and energetic beats, all designed to capture the essence of punk rock. The playlist was a tribute to (y/n)'s unique spirit and the way she lived life on her own terms.
As he carefully curated the songs, Hobie's mind wandered to the moment he would share this playlist with (y/n). He imagined her reaction, her eyes lighting up with delight as the first chords of a punk anthem blared through the speakers.
When the playlist was finally complete, Hobie leaned back in his chair, a satisfied grin on his face. He had poured his heart into this gift, hoping it would convey his deep understanding of (y/n) and the unique connection they shared.
A few nights later, Hobie and (y/n) found themselves in his apartment again. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, much like their previous evenings together. They were sprawled out on the couch, wrapped up in each other's presence.
Hobie cleared his throat, his fingers drumming lightly on the arm of the couch. "Hey, so I've got something for you again darlin.”
(y/n) turned to him with a curious smile. "Oh? Another surprise?"
Hobie smirks, reaching for his phone and pulling up his music streaming app. He handed the phone to (y/n), his eyes dancing with excitement.
On the screen, she saw the title: "Punk Anthem."
Her heart raced as she tapped on the playlist and saw the list of punk songs that Hobie had curated for her. The rebellious energy of the tracks spoke to her soul, and she couldn't help but be amazed at how well he knew her tastes.
"Wow, Hobie," she exclaimed, her voice a mix of surprise and delight. "You really nailed it."
Hobie chuckled, a touch of pride in his expression. "I knew you'd love this."
As the first song started playing, (y/n) couldn't help but bounce to the beat. She looked at Hobie, her eyes shining with excitement. "This is awesome! Thank you!"
Hobie's arm found its way around her shoulders, and they leaned into each other, soaking in the energy of the music. Together, they listened to the punk anthems that spoke to their souls and celebrated their connection.
In that moment, Hobie and (y/n) felt the music pulse through their veins, a reflection of the vibrant love and understanding they shared. The playlist wasn't just a collection of songs; it was a testament to their journey, their bond, and the way they continued to learn and grow together.
As the last chords of the final song faded away, Hobie and (y/n) exchanged a glance that spoke volumes. The punk playlist had brought them closer, celebrating their uniqueness and the beautifully unconventional love story they were writing together.
Helping With Your Usual Hair and Skin Routine :
On a lazy weekend afternoon, the sun cast a warm and gentle glow into Hobie's apartment. Hobie and (y/n) found themselves lounging on the couch, their comfortable silence a testament to the ease of their relationship. As they flipped through a fashion magazine together, (y/n) suddenly looked up at Hobie with a mischievous smile.
"Hey, you know what would be fun?" she said, her eyes sparkling.
Hobie raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What's that?"
"What if you helped me with my skincare and hair routine?" (y/n) suggested, a playful twinkle in her eyes. "I'll walk you through the steps, and you can be my partner in beauty crime for the day."
Hobie chuckled, the idea sounding both amusing and oddly appealing. "I've never done anything like that before, but I'm up for the challenge."
With a grin, (y/n) jumped to her feet, leading Hobie towards the bathroom where an array of skincare products and haircare tools awaited.
"Okay, step one," she began, holding up a cleanser. "This is a gentle cleanser that I use to cleanse my face. You just need to squeeze a little onto your palm, mix it with water, and then massage it onto my face in circular motions."
Hobie followed (y/n)'s instructions, his fingers working the cleanser onto her skin. He was careful and attentive, his touch gentle as he followed her lead.
"Next, we use a toner," (y/n) continued, showing him a bottle of toner. "This helps balance the pH of the skin and prepare it for the next steps."
Hobie watched as (y/n) soaked a cotton pad with the toner and then held it out to him. He mimicked her actions, gently patting the toner onto her skin.
As they moved through each step of the skincare routine, (y/n) explained the purpose of each product and the benefits it offered. Hobie listened attentively, his focus solely on (y/n) as he followed her lead.
"Now for the hair," (y/n) said, leading Hobie back to the living room where she had laid out haircare products and tools. "I usually use this heat protectant spray before styling my hair."
Hobie held the spray bottle, reading the label. "To protect your hair from heat damage, right?"
(y/n) nodded with a smile. "Exactly."
With (y/n)'s guidance, Hobie expertly sprayed the heat protectant onto her hair, making sure to cover every strand. He marveled at how much he was learning, and the way (y/n) explained things made it easy to understand.
As they moved through the hair routine, from blow-drying to styling, Hobie found himself enjoying the process. The atmosphere was light and playful, and the fact that he was doing something new and different made it all the more enjoyable.
When they finally finished, (y/n) turned to Hobie with a satisfied grin. "You make a pretty good beauty partner, you know."
Hobie laughed, a warm feeling of accomplishment washing over him. "I have to admit, I didn't expect to be doing a skincare and hair routine today, but it was surprisingly fun."
(y/n) leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "Well, now you know more about my daily rituals. It's a little part of my world that I wanted to share with you."
Hobie's heart swelled at her words, a reminder of the depth of their connection and the way they embraced each other's interests.
As they settled back on the couch, (y/n) snuggled against Hobie's side, her head resting on his shoulder. The fashion magazine lay forgotten on the coffee table, replaced by the memory of a lighthearted afternoon spent exploring each other's worlds.
With Hobie and (y/n) sitting cozily on the couch, enjoying each other's presence as they exchanged story feeds and shared laughter with one another. The warm ambiance of the room created a comfortable atmosphere, one where they could simply be themselves. As their conversation flowed, Hobie found himself becoming increasingly intrigued by the idea of experiencing his girlfriend's skincare routine firsthand after helping her with hers that morning.
He glanced at (y/n) with a playful grin. "You know, all that talk about skincare earlier has got me curious. How about giving me the same treatment?"
(y/n)'s eyes lit up with amusement. "You want the full skincare experience, Hobie?"
Hobie nodded, a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Why not? I want to see what all the fuss is about."
“Oh you’re tots gonna love this!”
With a delighted giggle, (y/n) agreed, and they made their way to the bathroom. (y/n) walked Hobie through each step, just as he had done for her. She demonstrated a whole new way for him how to cleanse, tone, moisturize, and even go as far as to show him how to apply a face mask both a clay and wet version. Hobie followed her instructions diligently, a mixture of curiosity and amusement evident on his face.
As they reached the final step of the routine, (y/n) applied a moisturizing cream to Hobie's face, her fingers moving with a practiced touch. She studied his features, noting the smooth texture of his skin.
"You have great skin, you know," (y/n) commented, her tone affectionate.
Hobie grinned, his eyes twinkling. "I've never really done anything special for it. My skincare routine is pretty simple."
(y/n) arched an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? Do tell."
Hobie chuckled, leaning back against the counter. "Water and a bar of Dove soap. That's pretty much it."
(y/n) burst into laughter, her joyous peals filling the bathroom. "Water and a bar of Dove soap? That's it?"
Hobie shrugged with a sheepish grin. "Hey, it's been working for me so far."
With the moisturizing cream applied, (y/n) stepped back and surveyed her handiwork. "Well, you're a natural, Hobie. Your skin looks amazing."
Hobie's cheeks tinted with a hint of pink as he scratched the back of his head. "I guess I've been underestimating the power of an actual skincare routine”.
As they returned to the living room, (y/n) leaned against Hobie, a satisfied smile on her face. "See? Skincare isn't just for girls. Guys can benefit from it too."
Hobie wrapped an arm around (y/n), a contented expression on his face. "I never said it was but I’m starting to believe you love,” he says feeling the tingling sensation on his face.
As the evening continued, their lighthearted conversation flowed seamlessly. The memory of their skincare adventure added another layer of shared experiences to their relationship – a reminder that even the simplest moments could become cherished memories.
You Cook Him Breakfast so He Does The Same For You :
The soft morning light filtered through the curtains as (y/n) tiptoed around the kitchen, moving with a sense of purpose. She was up earlier than usual, her excitement bubbling over a plan she had concocted. Today, she was determined to surprise Hobie with a homemade breakfast in bed.
With careful consideration, she gathered ingredients and utensils, creating a delicious spread that she knew Hobie would enjoy. As she moved about the kitchen, the aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air, wrapping her in a comforting embrace.
However, her focus was momentarily interrupted by a sound from the bedroom. (y/n) glanced over her shoulder, her heart skipping a beat as she saw Hobie standing in the doorway, shirtless and rubbing his eyes.
"Hobie," she exclaimed softly, a mixture of surprise and delight in her voice.
Hobie's lips curled into a sleepy smile as he walked over to her. "Good morning, love. You're up early."
(y/n) grinned, her cheeks tinted with a touch of pink. "I wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed."
As Hobie wrapped his arms around her from behind, (y/n) felt a rush of warmth, her heart fluttering in response. She could feel his bare chest against her back, the steady rise and fall of his breath as he held her close.
"That's incredibly sweet," he murmured into her ear, his voice a soft caress.
With her head leaning slightly against his chest, (y/n) continued to cook, feeling his presence envelop her like a comforting embrace. She could sense his quiet appreciation for her efforts, his gaze fixed on the food she was preparing.
Hobie's chin gently nudged against the crook of her shoulder, and he dropped a tender kiss on her temple. "You know, you're amazing," he whispered.
(y/n) turned her head slightly, her lips brushing against his jaw. "And you're incredibly distracting when you're shirtless in the morning."
Hobie chuckled, his arms tightening around her for a moment. "Can't help it if I'm irresistible."
Their playful banter filled the air as they continued to share the intimate space of the kitchen. (y/n)'s heart swelled with affection for the man who stood behind her – a man who had walked into her life and filled it with joy, laughter, and unexpected moments of tenderness.
Finally, the breakfast was ready, and (y/n) carefully plated the food. She turned around to face Hobie, her gaze meeting his with a mixture of love and gratitude.
"Breakfast is served," she announced with a smile.
Hobie's eyes sparkled with appreciation as he released her, allowing her to move to the dining table where she had set up the food. As they sat down to enjoy the meal, their fingers brushed against each other, the simple touch a testament to the connection they shared.
In the soft morning light, as they savored their breakfast and shared stories of their day ahead, (y/n) couldn't help but feel grateful for the moments that brought them closer together. From surprise breakfasts to tender embraces, their love was a journey woven with warmth and affection, a journey they were more than willing to embrace, one sunrise at a time.
The next morning arrived, and Hobie was filled with excitement as he prepared to surprise (y/n) with breakfast in bed, just as she wanted to do for him. He moved around the kitchen with a sense of purpose, selecting ingredients and carefully crafting a meal that he hoped she would enjoy.
With a smile, he began to cook, his focus solely on the task at hand. The sizzle of bacon and the crackling of eggs filled the air as the aroma of food began to envelop the room. Hobie hummed softly to himself, eager to surprise (y/n) with a delicious meal.
However, his concentration was shattered when he heard soft footsteps behind him. Turning around, his eyes widened as he took in the sight before him. (y/n) stood there, wearing one of his shirts that fit her in an oversized fashion. The shirt fell just above her knees, and her legs were bare.
"Good morning, Hobie," she greeted, her voice laced with sleepiness and a hint of mischief.
Hobie's gaze traveled over her, his heart racing at the sight of her in his shirt. He couldn't help but admire the way it draped over her, creating an effortlessly alluring look.
"Morning," he managed to reply, his voice a tad breathless.
With a playful smile, (y/n) hopped up onto the kitchen counter, crossing her legs as she sat there. "I woke up earlier than I thought, and I couldn't resist coming to see what you were up to."
Hobie's attention snapped back to the food on the stove, realizing that he had become so distracted by (y/n) that he had forgotten about the eggs. He rushed over to the stove, quickly turning off the burner and assessing the damage.
"Uh, I might have burned the eggs a little," he admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.
(y/n) laughed softly, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Well, it looks like we're even now. Remember the last time I got distracted by you while cooking?"
Hobie chuckled, a rueful grin on his face. "Yeah, fair point."
As they shared a lighthearted moment, Hobie's heart swelled with affection for the woman who sat before him. Her playful spirit and effortless beauty never failed to leave him captivated.
(y/n) hopped down from the counter and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist. "Don't worry about the burned eggs. I'm just happy you wanted to do something sweet for me."
Hobie's arms encircled her, drawing her close. "I wanted to give you a taste of your own medicine."
She grinned up at him, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Well, it's definitely a memorable morning."
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the breakfast mishap became an inconsequential detail. The love and affection they shared far outweighed any culinary mishaps, and the simple joy of being together was more than enough to make their morning memorable.
In the soft embrace of the moment, Hobie and (y/n) knew that their love was a beautiful journey filled with laughter, surprises, and the sweetest of mornings, where the simplest gestures held the power to create cherished memories.
When He’s Jealous But He Makes It Clear You Two Are Together :
The day was bright and full of promise as Hobie and (y/n) found themselves in the midst of a bustling street in the Spider-Verse. They had ventured to this unique dimension, a place where various versions of Spider-People coexisted, with the intention of experiencing something truly extraordinary.
As they marveled at the sights around them, from towering skyscrapers to masked heroes swinging through the air, Miguel O'Hara, also known as Spider-Man 2099, approached them.
"Hobie," Miguel called out, motioning for him to come closer. "I need to discuss the upcoming mission with you."
Hobie gave (y/n) an apologetic smile before following Miguel away to talk, leaving her standing amidst the vibrant Spider-Verse crowd.
As Hobie and Miguel conversed about the mission, (y/n) couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed by the novelty of the environment. She looked around, taking in the different Spider-People and their unique costumes, each a testament to their individual stories and experiences.
Lost in thought, she didn't notice the arrival of another Spider-Person until a voice brought her back to reality.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" a smooth voice purred, and (y/n) turned to find a man leaning against a nearby wall. He was dressed in a black and red suit, his stance oozing confidence.
(y/n) blinked, caught off guard by the newcomer's presence. "Oh, um, hi."
The man grinned, his expression flirtatious. "I must say, you're the most intriguing sight I've seen all day."
Feeling her cheeks flush, (y/n) shifted uncomfortably. "Oh, thank you. I'm just visiting with my boyfriend."
The man's grin didn't waver as he raised an eyebrow. "Boyfriend, huh? He must be a lucky guy."
Before (y/n) could respond, a wave of relief washed over her as Hobie returned, his expression serious. He noticed the interaction between (y/n) and the stranger, and a flicker of jealousy flashed in his eyes.
"Hey," he said, his voice firm as he approached (y/n).
She turned to him with a small smile, grateful for his return. "Hey, everything okay?"
Hobie's arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her close. He shot a pointed look at the man who had been chatting with (y/n), a clear message in his gaze. "Yeah, everything's fine. Just needed to discuss about the mission."
The man chuckled, seemingly unfazed by Hobie's protective stance. "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you both. If you ever change your mind about that boyfriend of yours..."
Hobie's grip on (y/n) tightened, and he met the man's gaze with a steely look. "She's taken."
The man raised his hands in mock surrender, a smirk on his lips. "Fair enough. Enjoy your time in the Spider-Verse."
As the man walked away, Hobie released a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. He turned to (y/n), his expression softer now.
"Sorry about that," he said, his voice tinged with sincerity. "I didn't mean to leave you alone with him."
(y/n) smiled, her heart warmed by Hobie's protectiveness. She reached up to gently touch his cheek. "I appreciate it, Hobie. But you know you have nothing to worry about."
Hobie's gaze softened, and he leaned down to press a tender kiss to her lips. "I know. It's just hard to see you talking to other guys, especially someone like him."
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the vibrant Spider-Verse surroundings faded into the background. The Spider-People and their extraordinary stories no longer held their attention; instead, all that mattered was the connection they shared and the love that continued to grow between them.
As they walked away from the encounter in the Spider-Verse, the vibrant surroundings gradually began to fade into the distance. Hobie's arm was draped over (y/n)'s shoulders, and though the atmosphere was lighter now, he couldn't help but mutter under his breath.
"God, I hate that guy."
(y/n) couldn't help but chuckle at Hobie's display of jealousy. She leaned her head against his shoulder affectionately. "You know, it's kinda cute when you get all protective."
Hobie's lips curled into a faint smile, his gaze softening as he looked at her. "Protective, huh? Well, I just don't like the idea of anyone else flirting with you."
She tilted her head up to meet his eyes, her expression warm and sincere. "Hobie, you have nothing to worry about. I'm happy with you, and no one else matters."
His smile grew more genuine, and he pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I know, (y/n). And I'm grateful for that."
They continued to walk, their steps in sync as they navigated their way through the dimensions. The conversation flowed effortlessly, a mixture of laughter, shared stories, and moments of comfortable silence.
As they reached the portal that would take them back to Hobie's dimension, (y/n) looked up at him with a soft smile. "You know, even in the wildest dimensions, you're the one I want by my side."
Hobie's heart swelled with affection, and he cupped her cheek, his touch gentle. "And you're the one I choose, too."
With a sense of anticipation and the knowledge that they were embarking on a journey back to their own world, Hobie and (y/n) stepped through the portal, their hands intertwined. The Spider-Verse's unique landscapes and characters faded away, replaced by the familiar sights and sounds of their home dimension.
No matter where they went, or what challenges they faced, their love remained a constant anchor in their lives. As they left the extraordinary behind and returned to the ordinary, they knew that the bond they shared was anything but mundane – it was a love that transcended dimensions and was stronger than any obstacle that came their way.

I WOULD NEVER STAND HIM UP
Hate the AM, Hate the PM, But love you
Hobie Brown x reader
word count: 969
find the mini series here
tags: @maxjesty @marshallowy @sh-tposter2021 @ilovebhna @ladyagagaslefttoe
synopsis: Hobie is still a slightly infuriating neighbor, but there’s something about that jacket and guitar that are all too familiar.
a/n: DRUNK CONFESSIONS!! Part two of this fic. I wasn’t going to write another part to it but i caved 😔
You stood him up. You fucking stood him up. Hobie spent the entire show looking out into the crowd, ignoring the blinding stage lights, to try and find you. But you were nowhere to be found. He asked so nicely too! Despite his nonchalant attitude it took him so long to build up the courage to ask you out. He had dinner reservations planned, which he has obviously never done, looked up places to get a Mr.Whippy and even found a small secluded area where he could play his guitar for you.
The worst part is how it made him feel. He genuinely liked you and it hurt him to think you didn’t feel the same when he thought you did. So what was his solution? Go out with his mates to a pub until 3 am to drink his feelings. Hobie was a bold drunk, bolder than he usually is. He’s also a sloppy drunk, tripping when he walks and slurring his speech like it’s all one word.
You’re peacefully sleeping in your bed with your spiderman eye mask cuddling with your Spider-Punk plushie. It’s not a random occurrence to hear Hobie stomping his boots late at night but it was different today. You heard his boot buckles dragging across the floor and a loud bang against your door. Not necessarily a knock, more of a body slumped against the wood.
“Love! You in there?!” You hear him yell.
You try your hardest to ignore him but as he keeps yelling and pounding against the wood you start to feel sorry for everyone else on your floor. You force yourself out of bed and towards the front door. As you reluctantly open it a drunken Hobie falls into your flat.
“Hobie get your arse up,” you roll your very tired eyes.
He surprisingly agrees and makes his way to your bed.
Great, you think
He tosses his guitar to your couch and gets into your bed like it’s his. Conveniently throwing the spider-punk plush off the bed. He cuddles up with your blanket and closes his eyes. You cannot let him fall asleep.
“Hobie! Hello? That is my bed. Get out!” You yell at him.
“Why’d you do it?” He whispers.
“What,” you ask, still annoyed.
“You stood me up. I asked you to come to my show and you didn’t. Why,” he asked less of a question and more of a statement.
You sigh, of course you knew that was tonight. In all honesty you don’t quite know why you didn’t go. You weren’t doing anything special and it probably would’ve been nice. But you were scared. Scared of what? You also didn’t know that, you just were.
“I… I don’t know,” you admit.
“Really hurt me, Love. I wanted to see you and take you out on a nice date,” he looked away from you.
Your heart shattered. You knew Hobie liked you but not to that extent. You thought he was just playing around with you and didn’t mean anything by it.
“I’m really sorry, Hobie. We should go out some other time, okay? My treat,” you promise.
“Nah, don’t think i’ll have the time,” He says, clearly less sad than he was a few moments ago.
“Oh yeah? Busy with what? Trying to tear down the government from the inside?” You laugh.
“Of course not, that’s for the first saturday of every month. I’ll be busy being Spiderman,” he says, cuddling closer to your blanket.
You stop immediately. Your mind goes blank, the world around you stops. You’re suddenly much more awake than you have ever been. Hobie is… no you can’t even say it. The man you’ve hated ever since you had moved in was the person you loved more than anything else? That can’t be right, he’s having a laugh. That’s gotta be it.
“I don’t believe in comedy,” you remember him saying.
Fuck. He’s not joking, is he?
“What?” you manage to get out.
“I’ll be busy, being spiderman and all. Yknow who that is right? Don’t know if you noticed but he’s- i mean I’m kinda all over your room,” he lets out a drunk giggle.
He pulls out his mask from the pocket of his jacket and handed it to you.
“See?”
You grab it in disbelief. You run your hand over the spandex in awe. Spiderman is right in front of you, you realize.
Oh. My. God. SPIDERMAN IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU.
You just can’t believe the man you’ve idolized for years was in your bed. YOUR BED.
Hobie takes the blanket off of him, lifting up his shirt to reveal his suit. Blue and fucking red material.
“I don’t believe in the labels though. It’s stupid,” He says in the most Hobie way possible.
“You’re a superhero,” you say, still a little shocked.
“No. No, don't say that. I'm not a hero, because calling yourself a hero makes you a self-mythologising, narcissistic autocrat,” He says. God even drunk he’s still a smart ass.
“So you still wanna go out?” He asks.
“What? I just found out you’re fucking Spiderman and that’s what you’re asking me? If I want to go out with you?” You respond.
“I mean what else is there to say? I already know you love me,” he nods to the spiderman memorabilia.
Even in this state he still leaves you speechless.
“Well- yeah I guess. We can go out,” you say slowly.
“Cool,” he nods.
He lifts up the blanket and scoots over, inviting you into your bed with him. You roll your eyes and get in with him. He wraps his arms around you and smiles.
“I knew you wanted to snog me from the start,” he laughs.
Hobie is still pretty infuriating, but that is slowly becoming one of your favorite things about him.

Hello!!! I hope you're doing well:) I was wondering if I could rq a fic (or headcanons, which ever you prefer :)) of a m!reader with any male character from ATSV getting a good mark on an exam,(Manifesting yk?)
Thank you for your time:)
(also apologies if there are any writing errors, Tumbkr's being a but and blocking my text box)
LMFAO you’re good on the writing errors! Usually I get to these sooner but my morning yesterday was weird. Anyways I think that-
If you ran up to Miles with your test, screaming about how you got a good grade he’d be just as hype as you. You both get weird looks in the hallway but it doesn’t matter. He jokingly gets extremely hype, grabbing your shoulder and screaming “no way! It all worked out fine just like I said it would! Whattt!” And you punched him in the shoulder. He’d laugh with you before calming down and seriously congratulating you while saying that he knew you’d do well.
You ran up to Hobie, him turning before you even reached him, jolting in shock as you practically crash into him. Your smile was large on your face as you waved the paper in front of his face. “Calm down a bit so I can see it yeah?” He’d say while taking the paper from your hands and reading it carefully. A smile would then branch out on his face as his eyes returned back to your practically vibrating form. “Alrighttt that’s what I’m talking about,” he’d high five you energetically before wrapping an arm around your shoulder. “Told you everything would work out didn’t I?” You chuckled, rolling your eyes affectionately as you took the paper back.

May I please request "ribbon braids ─── send me a description of yourself + a fandom and a gender preference and i'll ship you with a character."
Across The Spider-verse and I like guys
I'm a 5'2 portuguse\irish female with curly brown hair and I've got green\gray eyes. I'm an ENFP or an ESFP (Haven't taken the test in a little while)and my enneagram is a 7 wing 8. I love music and I am very serious about becoming a musician on my own.(Very career focused) I am extremely competitive and flirty (but its my personality). I love the banter, banter is life even if its dumb-
(if you don't want to, no worries💜)
hobie brown ; you two would compliment each other so well actually. he would be very, very, and i mean very supportive about your music career. he would love listening to your works, even dancing along to them as you're playing. i think your flirty personality would match his. sitting on the kitchen counter, it's late, you're eating meals hobie made and your face is extremely red, and so is his. he'd tease you about how tall he is (not being mean but he's literally 6 ft tall....), but you'd tease him back of course. ugh movie nights as he plays with your hair while humming to a song you played earlier.
