So This Is Kind Of An Au... So Here Are The Designs For Them!

Joshua Freeman, He/Him

After The Events Of HLVRAI, Joshua's Father Never Returned. With The Rise Of The 7 Hour War, Recognising Gordon And The Scientist Team Had An Impact On This, He Fills In The Roll Of "The One Free Man" While Waiting For His Dad To Come Back. Essentially He Is This AUs Gordon. He Tries To Avoid Being Violent Unless The Scenario Needs It, He Want Hurt You Unless You Hurt Him Or His Team First. The H.E.V Suit He Wears Was One Given To Him By Darnold, Due To It's Excessive Use, He's Had To Use Duct Tape To Repair It In Some Places.

Everett Ardven? Calhoun?, He/Him

Before The Events Of This AU, Everett Stayed In The Care Of His Uncle Benrey In Xen. At Some Point, Benrey Had No Choice But To Teleport Himself And Everett Out Of Xen, Into The Real World. Due To The 7 Hour War, Benrey And Everett Became Apart Of The Resistance. At Some Point, Everett Lost His Uncle, Leaving Him Alone To Wander City 17 And The Coast. He Is Eventually Found By Joshua And Sam, Joining Their Team. Although He Has Bigger Priorities, He's Still Searching For The Rest Of his Family.

Sam Pepper, She/Her

Due To Darnold Chickening Out Of Joining The Scientist Team In Their Journey, Darnold Was Not Put Into Statis And Instead Was There For The 7 Hour War. Prior To The War, Darnold Accidentally Made A Child Using His Own DNA From A Potion. That Child Was Sam Pepper, Who He Raised As His Daughter. When Darnold Meets Joshua, The Three Took Refuge In Mock Up Lab That Darnold Made His Own. When They Were Adults, Sam And Josh Left The Lab And Began Going Around City 17 And Other Near Areas In Order To Help Refugees And Fight Off Combine.

Hello, yes, please talk about the Marble Hornets HLVRAI AU

The basic idea is: hlvrai happened but something to do with the operator made gordon forget, in replacement of the tapes is hlvrai the series, recorded from a camera in the hev suit.

gordon fulfills a role similar to jay, benrey as tim, bubby as alex, darnold as jessica, tommy as brian, and dr coomer as masky

benry is generally unhelpful with everything, only tagging along because he wants gordon to give him paperwork to sign about being in his film.

and when it comes to marble hornets in hlvrai, I think alex is gordon, jay is benry, tim is some combination of coomer and bubby, brian is tommy, jessica is darnold, sunkist is alex's dog rocky (?)

My style's changed a bit since I last drew my Gordon Freeman from my @competitivestreamingau so here's the nerd streamer in more 'fixed' cursed clothing.

At first, Benrey was just at the band practices to watch and listen to Gordon sing. 

And yeah, that's still his main focus. Never gonna change. No sir. 

But the band quickly caught on the sound of his Sweet Voice and asked him if he ever sang before. With words, that is. 

He hadn't. Never felt comfortable enough around humans to try. Weirdly enough... the band members just understood and didn't push him further on the matter. 

...

The second he and Gordon arrived back at Gordon's apartment, Benrey went through his roommate's stuff again. This time he knew what he was looking for though. He knew what was somewhere buried in the closet.

A cassette recorder.

Old, wear and tear all over, dusty and heavy in his hands. 

He carried it carefully to the bathroom and locked the door behind him. 

Sitting down on the cold floor and placing the object in front of him, he took his time to figure out the big buttons, quickly realising how much he loved the clunky noises and that he could rewind the tape inside as often as he wanted. He could take his time with this and not worry about his focus issues. 

He closed his eyes and clicked the record button, the slow whirring sound of the tape giving him a comforting background noise as the first note escaped his throat. - - -  You can now find all the previous & future posts under the hashtag “metalhead gordon” on my blog! 🤘✨

In short the vague gesture of a plot I have right now: Basically we going back to Half life with these characters played seriously and a spice of entities.

Under the cut is basically retreading old ground but with some added headcanons sghdgsa

Black mesa has been doing shady things, G-man is working on researching supernatural happenings but more importantly causing them. There are cameras everywhere there is no place you aren’t seen. The resonance cascade was totally unplanned and is throwing a big wrench in this but is also perfect. Anyway so the players.

Gordon being new and all knows nothing and is just stressed, because everyone is drawn to him through his very apparent humanness he is both in the worst and best position that he could be in Black Mesa. Probably gaining grey hairs early and 100% gets betrayed by Bubby and Benrey for bad reasons (Bubby because it felt right and Benrey because he could).

Bubby has some strange side effects from being a prototype human mixed in with a creature from The Desolation. He’s far too warm though he never sweats, his skin drips like wax like the cult members and he’s always thirsty. And that makes him really cranky. Just in a bad mood all the time and it doesn’t help that he’s fully aware he’s being watched at all moments. And he’s sick of this place.

Dr Coomer is helpful sometimes. His urge to beat people to a bloody pulp is strong but he isn’t actively malicious, there is just nothing else. Violence and pain is just that, what reason it has is flimsy at best so why not embrace it? Truthfully he doesn’t want to do this anymore. So maybe he can just help the shiny and feed The Slaughter along the way out from here. Coomer knows that everything is wrong but he has given up in finding reason in it.

Tommy as an avatar of The Eye has the ability to see people’s emotions. Like his ability isn’t limited only to reading sweet voice no he can see into your eyes and know what you’re going through. He has a urge to record everything  he sees and has a little diary to write in. His handwriting makes it barely legible for anyone just looking in with big stickers and in a sparkly pen. When it comes to knowledge he knows the most, he knows all about Black Mesa but he doesn’t like it very much but he loves his dad. It’s all very confusing so he has tried to suppress it all for now.

Benrey does not know how to be human. Sure he possessed one but he doesn’t know how to do things like eat and watches the people to stuff before copying what they did exactly. No matter how many times Gordan tries to explain to anyone else they cannot see it. Because Benrey won’t let them. He’s normal in their eyes, he’s supposed to be there. And Benrey absolutely loves to drive the fact that nobody believes Gordon. Tommy still reads him like an open book when though and he hates it. Also can create portals but you won’t see him use them in any helpful way whatsoever.

anywho welcome to the Tumblr blog for the HLVRAI au Vodshell

Vodshell is scripted however the script itself while based on the full HLVRAI vods is improvised

this au will have hints of existentialism

once the script is finished I will set about filming the videos will be live action with all characters played by myself using props to differentiate between characters other than putting different recordings together to form a whole video there will be little to no editing there also will be almost no voice acting or background music while these are mainly due to me working with my abilities and given resources I have also decided that these things will be integrated into the plot so you can expect some meta especially when it comes to the concept of clones in the series

since it both will take me a while to get started on writing the script due to having a good few projects going on and it will take me a while to finish the script as it based on the vods you can ask questions about my ideas here as well as about the characters my answers will not necessarily have anything to do with the final videos as it is a work in progress

ok well since im Thinking about it now lemme just make a huge ass masterpost of my tmavrai au bc im stupid lmao (also i wanna get into using this blog for more than art since this is my main)

buckle up cowboys this is gonna be lengthy

ok so to start off, it’s a kind of fusion au. some tma characters are replaced with hlvrai characters, and some just exist on their own. for example, elias is replaced with gman, but jon and gordon both coexist together

speaking of jon and gordon, they’re both eye avatars and co-archivists of the magnus archives. gman fucked up a little bit while filing shit but its fine, its fine. they’re both fit for the job.

tommy, darnold, and coomer work at the institute in various departments, along with tim, martin, and barney. tim and tommy have been best friends for years and live together as roommates, and darnold’s another one of their closest friends. coomer and martin just chill there, and barney likes to talk to gordon a lot. tommy brings sunkist over a lot, who everyone loves

since his dad is basically the head avatar of the eye, tommy asked him one time how to make a dog and gman, because that’s his little boy, told him how. now there’s an immortal entity soup dog that’s way too big to be normal. but that just means she has more love in her :)

jon and gordon kinda tolerate each other at first, being forced to record in the same area, but they tend to... tune into each other a lot. they sometimes read statements in unison, even if one of them isn’t looking at the statement. they take turns speaking in dialogue parts if need be, and they dont really notice it.

eventually prentiss attacks and gordon notices something... off about their coworker benrey. wait- wasn’t his name barney? no, he was probably remembering wrong. but something about benrey is just... weird. he cant put his finger on it, and jon has no input. 

so yea benrey is a not-them and a stranger entity, and they just kinda chill in the archives and check ppls passports at the door. its also pretty fun harrassing feetman, especially when they can just pop in and out of michael’s doors bc they’re friends with the spiral. unknowing goes well, as you can assume ;w;

after they find gertrude’s body in the tunnels, several cops get called in. basira and daisy come over, supplying jon with tapes, but daisy brings her old high school/college friend forzen, who’s in the military. and yea they’re both hunt avatars. it was simple and obvious don’t blame me. he hunts ppl down by having beyblade competitions then shooting them. standard stuff.

tommy had gotten claimed by the slaughter years back, but now its really starting to take effect. coomer, local end avatar, isn’t much help, as he doesn’t exactly view death as a problematic thing and even compliments tommy on his kills. during jon and gordon’s comas, forzen goes rogue (instead of burying himself like daisy) and tommy goes after him, trying to mercy kill any victims he has his sights set on. its a body count contest at that point

bubby takes the place of agnes montegue, but still alive and not as hostile to the main cast. obv bc coomer’s there and i love me some gay grampas. yea bubby’s kinda forsaking his desolation cult thing but he’s fine. he just goes and chills at the archives a lot to get with coomer

after the unknowing, things go to shit. martin and benrey close themselves off, both allying themselves with peter lukas, to defend the institute and its workers. tommy and darnold are heartbroken after tim’s death, and tommy, unable to deal with living alone without tim or living in his dad’s house (who’s in prison now), moves in with darnold. its angst central babeyyy

darnold, basira, alyx, georgie, and melanie start a group chat called “babysitting the avatars squad” since they’re the only humans left allied to the institute or its workers. they vent about shit their avatars do bc good lord they can do some weird shit sometimes. oh also alyx and georgie are cousins here bc i feel like its funny that both gordon’s and jon’s childhood friends are related and no one knew dfgshgfgsfghgfrsbfsxg

for the last thing im gonna cover bc im tired and i dont want to type anymore is that joshua definitely exists and oh boy it gets fun in the apocalypse. he runs around and plays around with all the domains with tommy and benrey and the other three are way too tired to deal with this. he just wants to give daddy a flower! ignore the eyeball, it’s just a normal flower! how... sweet.

Summaryish of the au in general:

Gordon gets betrayed by his "friend" who injects him with some weird shit that turns him into this creature that runs off pure instincts for blood meat and other stuff that Gordon can't control. (There's 3 forms that come with this.). When he's like that he's in a more Disassociative state. Everything feels like a dream to him but it's real and he knows it. But he can't do shit about it sadly(well sometimes he can fight back but most times...)
