Good Morning Lizzie, I see you're a big reader. I wonder if, like me, you are a lover of historical novels? I especially admire the works of Robert Graves (I, Claudius ), Gore Vidal ( Burr, 1876) and the forgotten , but brilliant, Mary Renault, who wrote about Ancient Greece (The King Must Die, The Mask of Apollo). I was so inspired by these that, for my second novel, I decided to write one set in the Wars of the Roses (better, the Cousins' Wars) in late fifteenth century England. It's called "At the Court of Broken Dreams" by Laurence Baillie Brown, and has already been described, in a pre-publication review, as "engaging, humorous and fascinating." . It has both gay and Jewish dimensions, and will be out in September, available on Amazon. In the meantime, also available there is my previous novel, "Addictions", a bildungsroman, covering the period 1954 to 1990. Do try one or both of them; you might like them!
Hello! I haven't read too many historical novels, if I'm honest (or at least not a lot that are pre-20th century) but that doesn't mean that can't change in the future. Congrats on publishing two novels!

So this got blazed on my dash and I'm a bit baffled by the Catalan Rabbi sent as an envoy to England by Ferdinand of Aragon considering he's the king, alongside his wife Isabella of Castille, behind the 1492 expulsion of Jews? And there was a ban of jews settling in England from 1290 until Oliver Cromwell. But maybe that's precisely this history @historicalnovelist is trying to tackle and am sure has done their research, it's just was ??? to read
