Anyways transfem noir headcanons (or should I say noire)

Her name is Penelope, she gets Penny'd and it drives Peni nuts (she also considered Petra, Bridgette, and Belladona). You'll will have to pay her to give up Penelope.

She found out after talking to Gwen, and she mentions something that Gwen recognises because she's been there, and she's like, "hey, you probably wont react well to what I'm about to say, but I think youre a trans woman." And Penelope's like "what? No, couldn't be me." Anyways they spend the next two weeks talking to a bunch of trans spiders and the therapist spider man and by the end of it Penelope's like "aw shit, this explains a lot." (At the same time they discover she's autistic. It's a very enlightening two weeks.)

Everyone's really opening and happy for her and she gets lots of hugs. Her favourite response was from Hobie, who said "I thought you already knew?"

The adults like to middle name her when she's in trouble. She mostly gets "Penelope Barnadette Parker"'d or "Penelope Bridgette Parker"'d, but on one occasion, from Miguel of all people, "Penelope Adrianna Parker," which scared the shit out of her (for obvious reasons if you're familiar with my blog)

Felicia and May find out completely by accident and are also really accepting, with Fel saying "I always wanted a daughter, just like you." Teresa and Eddie were also told. Eddie was like "damn I'm being overrun by sisters. Congratulations little sis." And Teresa's like "ooh yay! I prefer having a sister than two brothers!"

Felicia, May and Teresa go out and find some nice dresses and stuff, and Eddie starts gaslighting New York that Penelope's their cousin, Peter's gone to live with their other aunt and uncle.

The spider god help disguise Penelope's really recognisable features like her eyes and her teeth when they do this.

She's been invited to girls' day outs with Jess, Gwen, Margo, Peni and LYLA. She doesn't go often because oh god people, but she tries to go as often as she can. The first time she comes along after finding out/coming out, she gets pulled through the women's section in several clothes stores in several different worlds so they can find her some new clothes. LYLA pays for it all from Miguel's funds and justifies it as a birthday present. When Penelope's like "it's not my birthday", LYLA says "well, recently was the birth of the real you, and I count that."

No one actually knows when Penelope's birthday is, so they all just decide to celebrate her coming out day as her birthday

Now this all with Penelope in the spider society, and there's no way she'd actually stick around, so I'd like to quickly go over that: Penelope and Ham are both told that Miles's world can't be located, and just don't get told about "canon events" because Penelope is absolutely a murder risk.

Penelope gets kicked out the day she finds out that Miles' location is known, Miguel just hates him for no reason, she flips out in typically the Spider fashion, and attacks him. He slices through her hair with his claws in the attack and traps her in one of those red cage thingies.

The adults are desperately telling him not to send her home, it's not safe, the portal will open where she left from and that was in the middle of a men's prison. Ham goes on strike after Miguel sends her back, agreeing with Hobie and Margo that they'll try to find Miles then skidaddle. Ham goes to her world to help protect her until they can find Miles.

Ham helps clean up her hair cut while she cries because she hates her hair being cut and she doesn't want it to go too short, but Miguel sliced it to just above her shoulders. Ham tidies it so it's just below her chin, and he makes sure to style it so it's as wild and volumous as she usually keeps it in an attempt to cheer her up.

She pads her uniform vest, justifying it to the others as some "extra armouring", so it looks like she has breasts, albeit small. She doesn't want anything big.

She also changed the trousers for something more baggy so her crotch just looks a bit like the trousers pinned in strangely when she attached her leg holsters

Margo paints her nails/claws different colours sometimes

Gwen showed her how to do makeup to make her face shape look a bit different. She only uses it when she's out with the girls, and leans into a sort of goth punk aesthetic. This leads to people thinking her natural eye colour is just some really funky eye contacts and it's the only time she doesn't feel horrible about them.

She's got a bit of a reputation in Gwen's world for a number of reasons but mostly for beating up four men while wearing heeled boots (they were spikey, she will admit, but she barely kicked them). In Gwen's world, if you're gonna be a dick, you gotta fear the yellow eyed goth chick taking away your breathing privileges

a mythos webcomic that takes place in a kind-of-modernized underworld in which, as elysium is becoming more dangerous due to the restlessness of its inhabitants (majority being previous heroes with a thirst for battling, and probably killing too) resulting in them turning a bit... violent and chaotic, orpheus is getting tired of staying there. he has been separated from eurydice because hades decided she wasn't worth of being in elysium while orpheus was, so orpheus is in big sad mode (trying to cope but not really succeeding).

almost as if it was fate (prob was), one night he's saved by achilles, and eventually they learn they are in the same exact situation (he got separated from patroclus). orpheus then convinces achilles they need to do something about this, and they decide to go on a trip to the house of hades to ask him to a-) change their realms so that they can spend eternity with their lovers and b-) stop all the bs that's happening in elysium.

but hades doesn't wish to be bothered about these kinds of matters. in fact, this alone will not make charon take them to the house. so they do what they gotta do! they leave elysium. illegally. and then proceed to be chased by the underworld's surveillance guards who are no other than the heroes that were turned into constellations, which includes!! heracles!! he hates achilles for, his words, "stealing his spot of best hero of the greeks" (this hatred is one-sided) and oh boy, will he do everything he can to stop them on their tracks!! (there's... an additional reason of why he's so against it. wont spoil though)

in this project you could expect lots of orpheus x eurydice and patrochilles (obviously) but also heracles x hylas, icarus being a cutie patootie, theseus being rightfully called out for being a piece of garbage, trans achilles, and... patroclus with a cat. that can turn into a monstrous panther. her name is belladona :]

this is a thing i've been working on for the past few months, it's still in planning phase but i want to see if people vibe with it before actually investing a lot of time in this project! ^-^

Okay, wait, I voted 'Reading The Hobbit' because that was my first actual media exposure when I was 8 or 9, but realized too late that it was not technically my first exposure to Tolkien's works.

Technically, my first exposure was towards the end of 2001, immediately before The Fellowship of the Ring came out in theaters, when Burger King was putting LotR toys in all their kids' meals -- specifically, figures of the entire Fellowship and several other significant characters mounted on curved bases that could be clicked together to form a ring, and if you put them all in a circle they would all light up and say a line from the movie. But to get them to do it automatically, you had to have all the figures.

My dad has been a massive Tolkien nerd since he was in high school at least. A "went out and bought The Silmarillion the day it was published" kind of Tolkien nerd. A "complained with a coworker that there were no elves at the battle of Helm's Deep after The Two Towers movie finally came out" kind of Tolkien nerd. A "when my middle sister and I were in high school and did a LotR movie marathon with her friends, he made us a themed dinner like Sam would have cooked complete with little meat pies and roasted potatoes" kind of Tolkien nerd.

And he was committed to getting all those toys.

I had no context for anything Lord of the Rings. I was five years old. I knew my dad would tell me all the weird names of the toys in my lunches when he took me to Burger King. I knew we were suddenly going there a lot and I liked their Icees and that this all seemed like a pretty sweet deal. I knew he always let my three year-old sister and I open the toys for him, and was always disappointed when we got repeats of the ones we already had.

Friends, there were 19 or 20 or these things in total. In the end I am pretty sure my dad had to resort to eBay to get the last one or two he'd been missing, unable to acquire them all via suddenly taking his then five- and three- year old to Burger King all the time. I am also pretty sure he still has all of them, hidden away somewhere in his house.

I am now also a huge Tolkien nerd, who lives with an equally huge Tolkien nerd that used to sign all her high school assignments in Tengwar and once had a pet chicken named Belladona Took. Lord of the Rings ended up being the shared interested that helped me reconnect with my middle sister after our relationship grew somewhat strained as tweens. I've written painstakingly-researched LotR fanfiction. My qpp and I own an academic grammar of Sindarin. And I am very grateful to have grown up with an extremely nerdy dad who started me on his favorite fantasy books at a young age.

But also. That was for sure technically my first exposure to Tolkien.

Despite being the leader of hell, he is susceptible to succumbing to his beloved Cassandra.

During the first secret meetings between Luzbel and Cassandra, Luzbel wanted to refuse to continue seeing Cassandra, and said that because of him, he was like that. But he couldn't resist accepting that he was in love with Cassandra

he always acted as the "Cool" father to Lucifer. Despite Lucifer as a teenager he behaved like the typical depressed and unfriendly teenager

Cassandra was a higher-ranking exorcist, but that position was removed for her "betrayal". She was a Warrior.

Cassandra couldn't be considered as a "fallen angel" because despite the fact that she was exiled forever, they didn't remove her wings or her halo (although they knew that she would not live long in hell, and that it would impair her health)

The devil Luzbel, the king of hell at that time, had been engaged to Belladonna, the queen of the Succubus in Gomory (a place in the underworld, kingdom of the succubus).

Belladona seemed to be the only one who didn't feel forced into the relationship, but Luzbel did. Belladona was the only one who seemed happy about the commitment, because she seemed to be attracted to Luzbel; since they did it so that the succubus were finally part of hell (as they had done with the Incubus). However, Luzbel fell deeply in love with an angel named Cassandra. But she was not just any angel, she was a protective warrior. An exorcist with the purpose of casting out demons that would disturb the balance of good and evil in the world.

Cassandra met Luzbel when he approached her disguised as a mortal human, Cassandra also seemed to have fallen in love with him and yes, she knew he was Luzbel. They both knew that relationships between demons and angels were highly forbidden, but they simply saw each other secretly. Luzbel had not broken the commitment he had with Belladonna, but it was simply to keep his romance with Cassandra a secret and not get her in trouble. Belladonna discovered them showing affection, In the end everything came to light, and Cassandra was expelled from the celestial legion. She took her sword and other possessions that she used to converse, they also removed her wings and halo, transforming her into a fallen angel. While the engagement of Luzbel and Belladona was broken. So Cassandra and Luzbel got married and both had a son, whom they named "Lucifer".

However, Cassandra couldn't live for long, as hell deteriorated her health and that caused her to pass away when Lucifer turned 11 years old. When Lucifer turned 15, despite being a teenager, he already fully mastered his powers and was very powerful. Luzbel had an idea, to resume the deal with the Succubus, committing Lucifer to the current princess of the Succubus. Lucifer refused, but he couldn't do anything about it, when they reached Gomory, Lucifer seemed to be very attracted to the princess of the Succubus, daughter of Belladonna: Persephone.

The struggle is so real! Especially when so many households are related so you have complications like blended families, siblings who all share the same name but live in three different households, families who I started using one tag for, but now I’m realizing a different tag would be way better...it never ends! D:

A lot of the solo portraits are great. I use them sometimes for family portraits, but often forget about them when it comes to taking pictures. Because let’s face it...using the photobooth is rarely a solo activity. ;)

Yeah the storytelling thing can be hard. I am slowly trying to sketch out my plan for when I'm back from my posting hiatus and wanna go down the storytelling path with my restarted Morlake BaCC, but holy crap... all the planning, the specific pics to take and other stuff is so much work! And I've really enjoyed the reminiscing posts. Cannot wait to see what's next for Pine Lake though. :)

Storytelling is way more difficult than it seems. I wish I had started with a plan, honestly, because most of my struggle right now is trying to work out where to go with all the vague hints I left myself (without having an end goal clearly in sight). The hardest part for me is having to keep those hints (So-and-so said X therefore Y cannot be true in this situation, even though Y would otherwise fit perfectly!) and still fit everything together. There’s a lot to be said for completing a draft *before* publishing! 

I’m really looking forward to seeing the resurgence of Morlake too! Whether it’s all plotted out or not, it will be fun to catch up with the settlers again. :) Are you planning on restarting from the very beginning, or picking up where you left off?

Thank you both for saying so. I was starting to worry they were getting dull (had a bit of the simming blues a while ago) so I’m glad you found some of them interesting. :) I’ll probably do a few more in the future, but happy to get some new content out in the meantime!

I feel the same! It’s a small regret of mine that I didn’t start with university student townies from the very beginning (just didn’t think of it!) but Eowyn wound up being pretty darn awesome, so I’m glad I got to meet her through it. :)
