Scheme Of Yogi Government To Promote Education In Uttar Pradesh

To improve education, health, physical and arts education of children in primary schools, Honorable Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji launched the Road to School Project on 20th August 2024 at Chahgawan Block, Gorakhpur.

Essentially, the project is a joint initiative of the Department of Basic Education of the State Government, Ashok Leyland Limited of leading industrial company Hinduja Group, and the Learning Link Foundation. Many large corporate groups are also gearing up to participate in such government activities. 

What is the Yogi Government's  Road to School Project and how it is promoting primary education in UP? 

The Road to School Project is the next phase of the School Chalo Abhiyan that was launched on 1st July 2017 at Kukrail, Lucknow. Chapter 7 of "School Chalo Abhiyan" is laudable for the efforts made to increase the enrolment rate of children in government schools, prevent dropouts and increase the interest of children in learning.

The success of the program is easily seen from the fact that the number of children enrolled in schools was 1.034 crore in 2017 and is now 1.92 crore. primary education in up Road to School currently provides primary, secondary and combined schools (grades 1 to 8) and creates infrastructure for the holistic development of students. 

A unique initiative to promote education in UP

"Road to School" is an innovative program that aims to set an example for children with 100% enrolment, regular attendance and progression. Its main objective is to improve basic education, health, physical education and art education of children. According to  Nipun Bharat Mission, the project aims to improve basic education.

For instance, it aims to increase children's interest in science and mathematics and improve their representation in the subjects. education in up The project will provide courses based on social, physical, emotional and environmental well-being for the overall health development of children.

The programme will be implemented in two phases. In the first phase, all 78 schools in the Chagawan block were included.  17,781 students have benefited from the project. The second phase will begin on June 2, 2025. All remaining 90 schools in Bharat block will be included in the programme. 16,434 students have benefited.

Five project staff will be deployed to implement health and wellness programmes in schools. All schools will be equipped with teaching materials, sports and mathematics kits.  

The Road to School project  is as per the new education policy in Uttar Pradesh

The curriculum for grades 1 to 8 under the  Road to School project aims to improve the basic education level within the framework of basic education. He also said that the promotion of arts education and the development of basic life skills will also be part of the curriculum, along with ensuring the implementation of the Khelo India programme curriculum.

The expected outcomes of the programme include improving the basic literacy and numeracy skills of students, maintaining a 100 per cent enrolment rate and increasing it in additional grades, education policy in uttar pradesh transitioning from primary to secondary and secondary to high school, and raising awareness of health and hygiene for all students.

The aim is to develop the capacity of teachers and implement the vision of the programme in their classrooms. Before 2017, the foundation of the future had undergone so many changes. 

Whether we are talking about the "School Chalo Abhiyan" or the "Path to School" project, this question is always relevant. Why should Honourable Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji work so hard to get children to school and ensure they complete their schooling? 

After all, what was the reason behind so many poor children not being able to go to school before 2017 and those who did go to school for one reason or another not being able to progress to higher grades? In fact, before March 2017, most government school buildings in Uttar Pradesh were in a dilapidated state, had no seats, no separate toilets for boys and no drinking water supply.

Hence, the Yogi government has done a great job in strengthening the foundation to build the future by launching the School Chalo Abhiyan on 1st July 2017 and the Road to School Project six months later on 20th August 2024. The results are in front of everyone. While there is an increasing influx of children into government schools, there are also some who stay back there to study in higher grades.

The Flagship Of Hinduja Group, Ashok Leyland, Expands Global Reach, Optimistic For Domestic Recovery

The company reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹770 crore for Q2, bolstered by exceptional income and deferred tax credits. Revenue for the September quarter was ₹8,728 crore, reflecting a 10 per cent decline from ₹9,592 crore in Q2 FY24. However, excluding exceptional items, PAT grew 12 per cent to ₹653 crore from ₹584 crore last year. The exceptional item of ₹117 crore was due to an increase in the valuation of an investment.

The growth in PAT was primarily attributed to strong cost-control measures, including leveraging stable commodity prices, especially steel, and consistently reducing material costs. Over the past two years, we have achieved cost reductions exceeding ₹650 crore each year, and we are on track for more significant reductions this year. Week 10 - Stick and stones can break our bones, but words can break our hearts (Social Media Governance).

There are several, slightly different definitions for online bullying and harassment. For the purposes of this blog post, I believe the definition of online bullying is as follows: "Bothering someone online, teasing in a mean way, calling someone hurtful names, intentionally leaving persons out of things, threatening someone, and saying unwanted, sexually related things to someone" (Patchin and Hinduja, 2006).

Cyberbullying and/or harassment, which began as online comments are now commonplace on social media and in any digital community. People say horrible things globally, but how can we control speech? Who judges what is appropriate and what is not? Many social media sites have moderators, sometimes known as ‘mods’, inside specialized specialist groups, but in general, there exists a lot of seemingly unmoderated insults, online bullying, and harassment on both private and public pages. Organizations frequently monitor the comments portion of their social media pages, and content providers can block specific terms from being remarked on their material. While these are solid choices, restricting words or statements, regardless of how serious they are, might create a sense of government and opinion-blocking, which can destroy the whole idea of a public sphere and irritate these people.

Although the Australian government has approved laws (Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, 2022) making some forms of cyberbullying criminal; How do you manage an online place where there are basically no cyber regulations? Now Despite this is true to some extent, the laws established by social media companies and listed as guidelines are intended to suggest ways in which social media communications should be handled by members of an organization and how this can benefit users by allowing everyone to engage and participate actively in an online environment (Linke & Zerfass 2013, p.275).
