Ino stood in front of her friend after forcefully pushing him out of Hinata’s home. “He’s just drunk is all.”

“I am drunk,” he said. “Drunk words make for sober thoughts.”

“Sasuke, Sasuke,” said Ino. She waved Hinata goodnight. “Get yourself together. Why were you drinking?”

“Hinata offered me a glass.”

“If she offered you poison would you just drink that too?”

“Yes.”

Ino narrowed her eyes at him. It was more concerning because underneath the alcohol — he was serious.

He stumbled down the concrete steps but luckily Ino was there to keep him steady. He looked over and repeated. “Yes I would,” He said again. “I love her.”

“Does she even care about you?”

“No.”

Ino waved him off. “Pitiful.”
