Homesick Chp 1

Yongguk knew he was lucky compared to most people by being able to pursue his passion with music. But he also knew he was unlucky when it came to the brain department since he often found himself unhappy. He knew he should be happier than he was, but he couldn’t seem to get rid of the sadness which invaded his life. And no matter how hard he tried to hide how he truly felt, his members all eventually saw through the fake mask he put on. They would always go out of their way in an attempt to cheer up their leader. And with their upcoming break, Yongguk knew it was only a matter of time before each member would invite him to join their plans.

 “Ah Guk, I’ve been looking all over for you. I’ve got something I want to ask.”

Speak of the devil, here was Himchan now doing exactly what Yongguk knew he would do. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t hear him out first before deciding whether or not he’d accept Himchan’s offer.

“What’d you want to ask?” Yongguk feigns ignorance as he sets his journal down and looks up at Himchan. Not like he’s really in the mood to write a new song anyway, so the journal had been useless in the first place.

“So I already know you want to say no to whatever I’m about to ask, but hear me out first.” Himchan pauses briefly to make sure the elder would listen before he continued pitching his idea. “Okay, well obviously our break is coming up so we can all have our much needed rest. But you can’t really rest and reenergize just from sleeping in or sitting around the dorm all day. So I think it’d be in your best interests to come to the spa retreat with me and relax properly.” He speaks with his finger in the air as if he’s stating fact. A small grin forming on his lips as he looks down at the leader before finally asking. “So what do you say? Will you come to the spa with me to help clear that mean brain of yours?”

 Yongguk digested all the words of Himchan’s proposal; weighing the pros and cons in his head as he tries to come to a decision. Himchan did have a good point about how relaxing spas could be, but Yongguk also wondered what other possibilities he’d miss out on while away at Himchan’s retreat if he says yes.

 Should he go with Himchan? Or would it be better he stayed at the dorms with the others?
