Took a short trail up to waimea beach. It is still not as sunny as I would like it but I am happy to finally being able to smell the ocean once again. I hiked this with the boys at the group home which I am employed at during the weekends. So far it's been great. Hiking, swimming, eating, and watching movies, and getting paid hardly nothing but remembering that you're still getting paid. Pretty sweet deal. When I was taking this picture I realized how much I disliked my full time job, and preferred this job much more for the obvious reasons, as well as feeling like i'm making a difference as opposed to my other job where I watch other people make a difference. Selfish?

I miss my old job very much. More like I miss my co-workers, but NO really, I miss my old job. I miss talking to the clients about there issues then and now, and problem solving. I miss that feeling I would get when I see the light come on in my clients head when she realizes what she needs to do because I helped her realize it. Selfish? I also miss being able to vent to my co-workers.

Long story short, even if you live in paradise, work is a huge part of our lives. It takes up at least 40 hours of it, so spend that time in a place worth spending. I am still new to the island and I am trying to figure out my place in it. I am also taking this new job as a challenge rather than an obstacle. I will learn from this experience.
