Wild Question!

Would anyone be willing to do some coloring for me?

Subject is my fancomic Heylin Restart. I would need someone pretty fast, and be comfortable with coloring both subjects and backgrounds.

HR is in a cartoony style using basic cell shading and a few special effects. I use PS2 (because it's free) and keep things in layers, so whatever coloring program you use needs to be able to open .PSD files and maintain layers.

I cannot pay you in real money, this would be exclusively volunteer work (it's a fancomic, so I'm not making money off of it). If you'd like to join my personal discord server, I can give you server points and access to patreon channels, but that's all I have to offer.

Completely didn't think to say anything off discord, but Appologies for not having more posted this month!

I have a comic page and a second Cave Troll chapter that were supposed to go out, but thanks to my odd luck xD I fell down the cellar stairs about a week ago.

Yes, I'm OK now. I didn't break anything or hit my head, and the injurries have finally healed enough I hardly notice them, but yeesh. -5/10 do not reccomend.

That being said~! I should still have the early access Heylin Restart page up on my Patreon by tomorrow, and Cave Troll's next update is expected about Wednesday.

Hi, sorry if this is random and out of nowhere, but who is PTSD!Chase? is he old timeline Chase, because in the only pic I find with him shows HR Jack, but without the scars and the coat is not yet a vest. (or did some youth shenanigans happen, making HR!Jack younger?) I'm really curious, especially with how downright possessive the dragonlord is shown. Thank you for your time!

New!Time. Jack got a replica of his old coat.

The drawings/scenes were us thinking about the story progression and they’re already somewhat invalid at least visually, even if some aspects will be true eventually. But I’m not going to tell you which ones ;)

Restart AU: time travel, Jack uses future knowledge to hack his childhood

Spicerfam AU: Jack steps out of the Showdown game to raise Megan, comes back much chiller but severely overtired, Megan gets to learn about crazy magic stuff from scratch, seperate found frenemily (friend/enemy/found family) bonds w/ the monks and the other Heylin

Timecrash AU: time travel AGAIN but instead of manipulating the plot it's about keeping OUT of the plot. 1500 years ago, Every Single Thing Happened. Can you survive WITHOUT more things happening?

Mundane AU: everyone relies on magic as a given so much in this show I just think it'd be funny to trap them without it. Especially funny Chase & Jack dynamic inversion where Chase can't use the "I'm Chase Young" card bc immortality is impossible and it's just a ridiculous thing to say.

Q: Why did you decide to write Monkey Wrench! ? A: Jack Spicer has always been one of my favorite characters in XS. When I was a kid watching the show on Saturday mornings, I always wanted to see him make it, to succeed in the way he needed to succeed - by making true friends, by finding his place in the world, and most of all, by loving himself. And I never got to see that, and that kind of bummed me out. XS ended with so many others moving on to a new chapter in their lives, but to me, it always felt like Jack's character growth was left up in the air. And after a long, long period of making up stories about what could come after in my head, I started writing it down. And after being inspired by a few authors and their fan fictions, and the creativity and courage they had to share their stories with everyone else, I decided to start getting serious about my own story and start posting it online. And that's how Monkey Wrench! was born. I'm writing this story for a lot of reasons, but the most important reasons are these two: As a kid, I always wanted to go on a XS adventure, because they looked like a lot of fun. Adventures are important for everyone to have, even if it’s just through stories. So writing one, and being able to make up the twists and turns that happen, the villains, the heroes, everyone in between - it all fulfills that wish perfectly. But also--and more importantly--I'm writing this because I want to see Jack Spicer become the hero I know he can be. Come check out the fic and as always, thank you for reading!

For @suriee, I’m your secret santa! :D I wanted to do something wintery for the event and I realized too late that I should have done ice skating and not snowboarding otl. And by too late I mean the skating roughs I drew up after didn’t feel right/good enough, so I just stuck with snowboarding.
