I'm so in love with Bdubs' cyberpunk city buildings. I'm just such a sucker for shabby-realism sort of building/deco style and the buildings he's making this season are unmatched in how REAL they feel. His first rundown looking apartment building looks just like my shitty old apartment (never rent above a restaurant you will always smell of cooking and the cockroaches are on another level) and I love it? It speaks to me idk.

Mumbo's oddly enough also real close to this in feel as well. He's not building in the same style of course but there is a lived in realism feel to his little cluttered mountain town.

It's HCBBS and the world is actually ending. Impulse and Iskall are the only ones who survived. Will they get to the next season, or are they stuck on the empty server forever.

A thin idea but there's some to work with. Maybe the guys who went on vacation also survived and the people that made the cult are actually dead or smth.

Another HCBBS idea is that during the switch, the hermits do a sort of personality swap. I think Cub and Scar would be funny in this situation, but there are tons to go off here with Grian and Zed, Tango and False, ect.

🐝 What is your favourite hermitcraft moment?

THIS IS A REALLY HARD QUESTION. maybe. hm. HM. uh. big moon still has a big impact on me? but also, like, doesn't actually feel emblematic as a "hermitcraft moment" to me, you know? uh, hm. i really liked whatever was going on with hcbbs and specifically when they all gathered around it right before the base swap actually happened and were valiantly (read: badly) pretending they couldn't all tell mumbo had built it. start of season nine was a DELIGHT, tfc speaking up via prox chat from underground and scaring scar to death was very funny. first total chaos run? uh, the dripleaf spleef games from season eight? those all feel more "hermitcrafty" to me, i think, and are all delightful and you should watch them.

depends on the hermit! i definitely do for joe, for example, but i haven't been able to get into phasmo, for another example, so i don't tend to watch those videos. i definitely watch life series when people are playing those. it also depends on like, if they're videos or streams - i am far, FAR less likely to watch it if it's a stream, although i still do sometimes.

personally i think the best hermitcraft season in existence was season 7, like in s7 we get:

decked out 1.0 , voice mod fo rthe first time, helsknight's debut, doc & bdubs divorce, the emergence of doc's GOAT thing, hermit challenges 1.0, turf war, various xisuma skins, xisuma + keralis matching skins, sewer cats, the bamboo lounge, the sleeping turtle, moopop diner, the button 1.0, the podzol party, HCBBS, grumbot 1.0, the mayoral campaign, the attempt of Pacifica, the upside down, the debut of Bdubs' new face, Bdubs' barber shop whose hair cuts stayed for a while!! (keralis STILL has the braids that bdubs gave him)

and maybe some of these things aren't as important for others as they are for me (im a sucker for builds with story and character), but you can't deny that season seven was a starting point for SO many things, and i can't say im surprised that so many hermits want to revisit S7 through new builds or continuing concepts, intentionally or not

so im watching mumbo’s season 7 for the first time and xb and mumbo are such a duo. neither actually trusts what the other is saying but fully goes along with it. theyre both as stuttery as the other and yet both exude more than enough confidence. they’ve each lied through their teeth to the other and they both know it. watching season 7 was a mistake because they have not interacted since and now i will miss them terribly.

Mumbo accidentally lying about what they were actually going to do with beds in the nether (removing spawnable area to up his gold farms rates, NOT mine for netherite) as well as how he handled Hermit Challenges initiations back in season 7 I think perfectly sums up his ability to coordinate people lmao.

You're talking about hermit citizens! I was super into that a year or two ago! (Wow has it really been that long...)

I imagined mine spawning in during the lag spike when the massive chorus tree was broken at the end of the HCBBS countdown, and so having teleportation powers (explaining why I'd still manage not to miss all the stuff going on while no longer being a Watcher) and being able to eat chorus fruit without teleporting, also I headcanon that anything that pierces a chorus fruit teleports so she would be the only one who could chop up a chorus fruit without losing the knife so she'd end up living in Aque Town and working at the MooPop cafe, she might sometimes take a bite out of the purpur since it's technically edible and she's one of the few who still like the taste/texture when it's cooked, also she looks like an enderman-cat hybrid (humanoid shadow with cat ears and tail and glowing magenta eyes) because sewer cats, then in season 8 I imagined that she would live in Boatem for most of the season but move to Hohenzollern for safety when the Mooners stuff happened. (Also around this time I was thinking less in terms of this oc and more about a couple of ocs I have since written a story about entirely separate from Hermitcraft, those two having powers connected to amethyst crystals and twisting vines respectively, so that might be why I was quite so invested in the Nothing virus story!)

But I haven't really thought about it much this season, I guess since I started playing MC Java properly literally on the day the season started it was like my story had fully diverged from the one I was watching, but if I bring back the ender cat person oc, I think she'd still be living in the starter village, showing up wherever to see big events and stuff. Loves reading in/staring in awe at the library nether hub. Also was definitely someone who went through the Rift during the crossover, and this is when she realises she is still partly a Watcher because the place highly resembles some of her dreams!

HCBBS or "Hermitcraft Bahamas Backpacking Sale" as Beef very much wanted it to be, was on its reveal phase. They're all down there inside the timer surrounded by chests and signs with names and it's looking less and less like the vacation he's hoping for.

The signs get read and chests get opened, he pats a sad Ren on the head as he reads who's base he got and he could feel the idyllic waves of the Bahamas getting further and further...

No! says he, He's determined to make this work now and ends up searching for a way to still go on this dream vacation and wow look at that, the cheapest package he could find is a honeymoon getaway for two...

Backpacking, snorkelling, buffets, and spa treatments, a fun packed one week adventure with your beloved by your side honestly what more could he ask for?

He came to, still in the middle of the hubbub with a lighter wallet and a confirmation message on his communicator, and he suddenly remembered that he hasn't been married recently and had no one to go on this "honeymoon" with.

Well False had done a runner the moment the schtick got exposed and Ren pretty much bounced back almost immediately, so he took a quick look around to find someone who needs a couple of days break.

A bit out of the way, past his fellow hermits excitedly talking about the upcoming swap, he saw Mumbo leaning on a wall, a tired but satisfied smile on his face, as if he'd been up a couple of nights in a row planning a serverwide event.

It only took a couple steps until he's face to face with the man. Mumbo looked at him eyebrows raised up in surprise and before he could say anything, Beef beat him to the punch.

"hey Mumbo, wanna go to a honeymoon with me?"

Vacation! The sea! Beautiful sunsets! you get me right? cmon it's a lovely prompt (⁠人⁠*⁠´⁠∀⁠｀⁠)⁠｡⁠*ﾟ⁠+. So many things that can develop and I think it'd be so nice and spicy. Hell we could even say that this would be a prequel for A Couple Steps Away.
