#Hermiones Boggart i think is also genuinely her worst fear

WAIT okay- so speaking from a personal mindset- you ever think about how Harry actually had to THINK about what his true worst fear was before he got a Boggart that genuinely emotional wrecks him, just like Molly is wrecked when she sees HER Boggart? Meanwhile, Neville, Ron, and the others just pop one out that's not only easy to deal with but really DOESN'T have the same emotional effect on them? I just remembered that when I read PoA, I thought to myself as a KID "I would see my dead family so I'd have to think of something quick and easy to replace it like a horror movie villain" because of le mental illness.
My point is that I don't think any of those Boggarts were those kids' actual, genuine worst fears. Were they VALID fears? Yes. I won't pretend they aren't. That would be cruel, especially towards characters I like (like Neville!). But from experience, I reeeeally think the intense trauma of certain characters- and their age- shows that those other kids were really afraid of what they viewed to be the biggest threat to them they could currently perceive. They didn't have to think about their real worst fears because as far as they knew, everyone was locked up and Voldemort was gone.
Obviously, none of them saw Death Eaters or Voldemort as potential threats, nor do they have the same specific trauma as say Harry or Molly. I didn't have that trauma either but my own le mental illness caused me to think about what MY Boggart would be in a similar way that Harry considered his. I doubt, if Neville saw a Boggart during OotP, it'd still be Snape and I doubt Ron's would still be a spider after GoF.
#i had a Snape as a kid tbh#i bet once Bellatrix escaped#she absolutely could be Neville's Boggart#is this anything?#harry potter retrospective#rereading harry potter#Hermiones Boggart i think is also genuinely her worst fear#failing and being expelled means leaving the Wizarding World#plus her reaction#harry potter#neville longbottom#severus snape

I reveal my two OPT in Chapter 12: The Patronus...
Ron and Harry did Hermione dirty. She might have run to Professor McGonagall but at the end of the days, it is the holidays. Nobody should be alone on holidays, they left her alone, now I feel pity for Hermione.
Ron and Hermione, this is the chapter where they are actually not talking to each other and it reaches a high point. Their altercation in Defence against Dark Arts was almost sweet. As if Ron was egging Hermione to talk. Ron was actively wondering about Hermione's schedule. He was really worried about her workload since the beginning.
Oliver wood is actively becoming my favorite character. He is sweet and driven about his goal. Oliver (Just Professor McGonagall said) has all the priorities sorted. All the admired qualities in a man...
What is under Lupin's cupboard that he says the Boggart will like? It is just dark that's enough for that Boggart?
It is genuinely sad that Harry wants to listen to his parents' voice and the only way he can do is to face his worst fear. Narratively speaking, something that Harry truly wants with all his might comes with an immense amount of dread, that is just genius! But on other hand, why do Dementors make him remember his parent's death? He was a year old infant can that young brain store those memories? And honestly, Harry's little pep talk after his first lesson with Lupin was truly heartwrenching...
I think Lupin is being dishonest, Lupin should have told Harry what actually James was to Lupin or Sirius was to him. That being said I also understand why he didn't do that. Remus Lupin, he doesn't want Harry to feel burdened about James or Sirius Black's situation. The way Lupin talks about Sirius, he makes it sound like he was Lupin's ex... If you go by the general consensus of fandom it is true.
Ron is worried about Hermione in his own angry way. But still, he is being cruel towards Hermione and Harry is not helping.
Dementor's kiss is more frightening in text!
My headcanon is that there is an active betting pool in the staffroom about everything and anything and that is where Snape and McGonagall had a conversation about Quidditch and House Cup.
Harry notes that Hermione resembles Lupin now. And previously he said Peter remind him of Neville. Now, out of Marauders two people left. Harry is easy, he clearly resembles James, because, father-son. That left only one in each group, Sirius and Ron. Hence, my big-brain has come to the conclusion that not only Ron-Hermione aka Romione is an OTP but also Lupin and Sirius aka Wolfstar were an OTP. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk!
That's it from me. Thank you for reading!
