Oh to have even a tenth of the self-confidence Odin had when he decided to ask the objectively more powerful than him god of death who he took from her family and threw into niflheim as a child to bring his son back from the dead, offered nothing in return and sent one of his most irrelevant sons as a messenger boy instead of showing up in person

A historical low fantasy interactive fiction game set during the Viking Age.
DISCLAIMER: This story is based on historical events, people, and places. Some locations and characters are fictional, while others are not.
You were born to a mother who went mad and a father who grew to hate you.
A quiet night erupted into chaos as your mother, possessed by a force unknown, attempted to kill you. Years later, with your father now Jarl, he orders you to investigate the eerie silence enveloping his settlement in England.
The more you learn, the bigger it all seems to be. More Viking settlements are targeted and you are the only one who seems to have any sense of stopping it.
All the while, the voices in your mind swell and surge, a relentless tide which threatens to envelop your very soul.
"S̵̛̻̼̻̝̺̠̞̟͙̈́h̴͖͉͎̥͓̺̣̽͜ë̶̡̤̠̪͖̖́̎̽̄̀̏̂̚’̵̨͖̱͘s̵̢̨͔͇̟̳̙̹̙̜̊̀͂͗̑͗ ̵͙̜͙̮̘͎̘̝̭̆͂̓h̴͇͋̓e̷̛͈̮̼̿̌̅͗͠r̸̪̃͒͘͝ě̸̂͌̈̓͂́͝ͅ.̷̨̛̩̦̩̟͌͒́̿̒͜͠"
Play as a male or female.
Romance four characters with one secret option.
Have any choice be considered romantic, even if it's as simple as a grunt.
Shape your viking’s personality and see how other's react when you switch it up.
Choose which god you will follow; Mímir, Magni, Hermóðr or ….?
Will you let it overtake you?
♢THYRA - THE COLD WARRIOR. [F] She is cold and relentless in her efforts to snub you, yet her presence always lingers about. She is what you would call a friend, even though she would refuse such a title. When she is forced to accompany you to England, she seems to change. Enemy-friends to lovers, [REDACTED], tsundere.
♧GUNGIR - THE JARL'S SECOND-HAND. [M] He’s a gentle giant, always trying to befriend you, but you hate him. He is the ‘son’ your father always wanted. Though he never says it outright, you see it in the way he offers him a love you would never receive. So you have vowed to the gods above that no kindness will ever be shown to him, at least, not from you. Enemies to lovers (one-sided), puppy love, forced proximity.
♤RAUD - THE [REDACTED]. [M] A childhood friend from your past. He was a soft and gentle child, but now he’s changed. He’s a [REDACTED] and he has all forgotten your past together. When he looks at you, it’s filled with the desire to [REDACTED], not with the fondness once held in his eyes. Childhood friends to ??? to lovers, amnesia.
♡ANNE - THE STRANGE BARD. [F] A strange and merry woman you met in England. She says she’s a simple bard, playing her lute any chance she gets. Yet when she begs to come along on your voyage, your mistrust of her is unwavering. Strangers to lovers, [REDACTED], sunshine love.
☆??? - ??? [M] ??? Forbidden love, huge red flag, dark secret.

What the Norse gods probably smell like.
NOTE: I AM NOT A NEOPAGAN. I’M JUST A NERD. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MY DERANGED RAMBLINGS AS RELIGIOUS GOSPEL, I WILL ULTIMATELY USE ALL THAT POWER AND INFLUENCE FOR EVIL.
This is a comprehensive list of what I think all the Norse gods smell like. Do not ask me why I wrote this down, why I wanted to post this on the internet or why I even asked the question in the first place. Everything can be explained by mental illness and sleep deprivation.
If your favorite deity isn’t on here, it’s because they suck.
-Óðinn (Odin): A mix of beer, sausage and that old man sweater smell.
-Þórr (Thor): Alcohol, body odor and an inordinate amount of Worcestershire sauce. The smell is strong enough to knock small birds straight out of the air.
-Loki: Fireplace soot and the kind of mulling spices you’d use in apple cider. You’d think it’d smell good, but the sooty smell kind of ruins it. A bath would definitely help.
-Frigg: Some sort of strong perfume, along with cheap wine and potpourri. She just kinda does, I don’t know why.
-Freyja: She has that cat scent. I don’t know if any of you know what I’m talking about, but she smells like a cat.
-Freyr: Apple scented shampoo. This is a conscious choice on his part.
-Baldr: Flowers. Real ones, too. Not the fake perfume shit. I suppose now he smells like a corpse that was burnt on a pyre, but when he was alive, he smelled like flowers.
-Höðr: Wintergreen mouthwash… for some reason.
-Nanna: Fruit preserves like jam and shit.
-Hœnir: He smells like a dad. Whatever you think a dad smells like is what Hœnir smells like. He smells fatherly.
-Skaði: Pine sap. She is covered in pine sap and if you look closely, she probably has some pine needles glued to her hair.
-Sif: The bread aisle in a grocery store.
-Iðunn: Apple based food products. She’s not exactly running low on apples.
-Sigyn: Olive Garden. She smells like the inside of an Olive Garden. Do not question me on this.
-Mímir: Very strong incense to cover up the corpse smell. It is nearly impossible to breathe around him.
-Týr: Go up to a man. Any man, doesn’t have to be a specific kind of man. Now smell him. That is it. Týr smells like a man.
-Heimdallr: Piss and vinegar from all the hate in his soul. There’s a million goddamn signs of Ragnarök and his dad still has him keeping watch like he’s a fucking security robot. That horn ain’t gonna do shit and he knows it.
-Njördr: He smells bad, but it’s not really clear what’s on him. It could be anything from tacky deodorant to motor oil and judging by his general weirdness, I’m not sure I wanna find out.
-Ægir: Alcohol. He practically wears Heineken as a cologne and it smells fucking terrible. Add on his natural ocean smell and it’s just fucking unpleasant to be around him.
-Rán: Fish, and not for the reason you might be thinking!
-Jörð: She’s a fucking earth goddess. Stick your face in the dirt. That’s what she smells like. Don’t ask me this again. Fuck you.
-Laufey: Tree. :)
-Njörðr’s unnamed sister-wife: The nursing home.
-Lofn: Shitty rose flavored Turkish delight that I got from one of those generic ass Marshall’s stores that white moms really seem to like. It was only slightly better than the lemon one.
-Forseti: That incense they use at Catholic Churches. I don’t know why, he just does.
-Hermóðr: Sweat and various other body fluids, as well as traces of whatever menial task Óðinn last assigned to him.
-Ullr: Tobacco. On his breath. Staining his beard. It’s horrible.
-Sól: Orange juice and sunscreen.
-Máni: Grape scented for unclear reasons. Probably nefarious ones.
-Bragi: Bragi smells like a disappointment of a child. His siblings are Þórr, Baldr and Týr and he’s just there with his stupid poetry and shit. He smells like those stupid Yankee Candle candles that never actually smell like what’s on the label. When I see “tropical seabreeze” on a label, I don’t expect it to smell like dishwashing liquid, but it always does. Bragi is tropical seabreeze candles. Bragi is dishwashing liquid.
-Hel: BAD. BAD SMELL. THAT IS NOT A GOOD SMELL.
-Angrboða: Plums.

THE MAN HIMSELF IS REDESIGNED!!!
Father of men; gautr of men; allfather; the aged gautr; delight of Frigg; eagle head; attacking rider; lord of Æsir; friend of wealth; enemy of the wolf; baldr's father; flaming eye; speak shaker, flashing eye and etc are but a few of Odin's many epithets. Father of Thor, Baldr ou Meili, Höðr, Heimdallr, Vali, Hermóðr, Hildólfr, Nepr, Sigi, Sigrlami, Skjöldr, Ítreksjóð, Sæmingr, Gauti, Vegdagr, Viglek, Winta, Casere, Saxnōt and many more, he is as old as is wise and as wise as he is power-hunger.
Son of Borr, he and his brother's Vili and Vé were the ones that slayed Ymir and from his body, created Asgard, Midgard and some other realms as well. With the flood that came with Ymir's death, Odin was also the indirect killer of hundreds of other giants in the great flood. With the Earth deity he'd created with a part of Ymir's flesh, he had Thor. With the tides, he had Heimdallr. With Frigg/Freyja, he had Baldr and Höðr. With Gríðr he had Váli and Víðarr and some many more with countless women.
With his hunger for power and knowledge, he gave his hunger for meat in exchange for two of Veðrfölnir's children Huginn and Muninn so he could be updated from the realms of everything; he exchanged of one of his eyes to drink from Mímisbrunnr; he stole from Suttungr's kingdom the mead of poetry and tricked Gunnlöð, who was guarding the mead into letting him take a sip from each night he spent with her. Three nights were spent and three sips he took, but each sip he took, each one of the three barrels he emptied and left the kingdom, leaving Gunnlöð bearing his child. These were only few of his countless stories after knowledge and power and maybe more will come in the future >:) but only future will tell.
He is designed at last!!! Dang I wanted so much to redesign Odin and he finally looks more overbearing, along his spear that looks way more powerful now, but he is not the last god that will be redesigned so keep in touch with my posts and even P4TR30N for exclusive and early content >:D

Frigg
The Norse Goddess of Marriage, Prophecy, and Maternity, Vanir
Appearance: Frigg appears as a woman in her late thirties, with some signs of aging but not many. She has blond hair and lavender eyes. She is very pretty and has two small wing-like protrusions coming from the sides of her head.
Relationships: Frigg is the daughter of the Fjörgynn, the god of the earth. She is Odin’s second wife and the one most in love with him, often to the point of extreme jealousy. The two have three sons, Baldr (deceased), Hermóðr, and Höðr. Her daughter-in-law, Nanna, is also deceased. She has one grandson, Forseti, however after his parents’ death she was too depressed to care for him so Jörð raised him instead. As a result, despite loving each other the two are a bit distant. When Rindr is indisposed Frigg is responsible for her and her son Váli.
Personality: Frigg presents herself as having a soft and caring personality. She does not raise her voice or even strongly disagree with others. Instead, she organizes complex Jigsaw-esque social traps that lead to their ruin and humiliation. She is a great manipulator and social butterfly, who carries out many of the Aesir’s social responsibilities. As a mother she is very soft on her sons, something Odin does not approve of, and will go to great lengths to protect them. They are the main point of contention in the two’s relationship.
Frigg is also susceptible to bouts of depression, such as the one following Baldr & Nanna’s deaths or following her visions. However, since she has several reliable ladies in service to her, even if she is indisposed for a while, she does not lose her iron grip on the management of Odin’s house. She prides herself on being a good hostess and a listening ear to everyone in her pantheon regardless of her personal feelings towards them.
Powers: Frigg is a prophetess and goddess of marriage. She is also a skilled magician and healer. Frigg’s most powerful magic allows her to assume control of “her” household, and limit or boost the abilities of those on the premises. To maximize its utility ability further she often incorporates seiðr into it, so it can automatically activate on those who have broken some rule she set, such as being a poor host or guest. She is also extremely skilled at household management, budgeting, and organizing events.
History: Frigg married Odin as a bride and hostage following the end of the Aesir-Vanir war, however, she had long fancied him. Upon marriage, she took over management of his household and widely came to represent it in social and political functions. After the birth of her sons, she assumed her relationship was very solid and was greatly upset when Odin brought in Gunnlod, and often relegated her and the later brides to more of a consort or other lesser status, not allowing them full control of their rooms or staff. However, in later years she came to understand the other women better and no longer bothers with them as much. Following Baldr and his wife’s deaths, Frigg fell into such a deep depression that Jörð had to return and take over their orphaned son’s care, something she deeply regrets. When Rindr was married to Odin she demanded her husband cut off his balls in repentance for what he had done.
Trivia: Frigg enjoys gambling and often uses her prophecy/seer abilities to cheat, especially against Odin.

Is it just me, or does the cover of the new Hermóðr album look like one of those blended maximalist pictures in a children's wildlife book?
