Summary: Taehyung and his best friend Y/N are Dolphin trainers at Wash Out; Marine Wildlife and Theme Park. When the nerdy marine biologist and resident veterinarian Doctor Kim Namjoon goes missing; the two friends form a ragtag team with Taehyung's rival Seokjin and a…. Fish?
Tumblr media
Namjoon swallowed the pills hoping he would be able to keep them down, they were a fast-acting anti-nausea medication. It wasn’t his fault, he just had trouble getting out on the ocean waves without feeling painfully seasick.
He placed his things inside the locker and everything else he needed was placed in the waterproof ziplock pouch attached to a lanyard around his neck. Before heading out to the dock, the group headed out and to the end of the bay where there were some sharp rocks that tended to catch sick and injured marine life. Between the rocks, the rock pools were quite deep, so it could be anything from a shark or a Jellyfish or a broken surfboard. But, they responded to the call as they always did, and they would care for the animal or just clean out the pools of debris.
The boat was in motion and as such was not causing Namjoon any stress, it was only when the boat stopped and was rocked gently by the waves would it stir in his stomach. He hoped they would never reach their destination, though the hope was short-lived as the boat slowed to a stop and the swaying felt more like churning. Namjoon, saving himself from heaving, jumped into the ocean and swam to the edge of the rock pools looking in, he began inspecting the creature. It was dark and he couldn't really see but, he soon noticed it was a human.
Grief consumed him, "It's a body," Namjoon reported seriously, "this poor young man had most likely drowned and was washed up during the high tide into the--"
It moved, that couldn't be, his eyes must be playing tricks on him, the man was now facing him, his features were delicate and his eyes seemed to watch and follow Namjoon's movements. Namjoon again passed it off as a trick of the eye and the reflection on the water, or even the froth of the waves, until the thing blinked. Hands reached in to grab the body and that's when he was smacked with something in the face, whatever it was, it was fierce and he felt as if he was going to blackout.
He had no strength to move under the water, but he was also intrigued by the two figures swimming towards him. The first took his left hand, his reddish hair glowing faintly as the sun broke the water and left small beams of light shining on the two gentlemen. The second smaller and blonde grabbed his right hand and they swam so fast. Namjoon was starting to feel like all the oxygen was being sucked out of his lungs but just as he felt himself seeing black he broke the surface.
Wherever he was it was night time, it was dark but there was a glow like a thousand stars on the walls, and the two men threw him out of the water and onto the ground and climbed out, this was the moment Namjoon noticed they had fishtails. "Mermaids" He muttered, receiving two glares. "You don't like that term, I am sorry?"
They stood up naked making Namjoon turn red, they wrapped themselves in silk that glistened like the sun on the waves. The redhead draped Namjoon's hands with a piece of similar fabric and he let out a, "oooh so soft..." at the cold watery feel as it touched his skin, before it tightened, binding his hands together. "Oh. I see."
There was a strange clicking and he turned to see the blonde returning his thin legs shaking as if he had just run a marathon and would collapse any second. More importantly and taking up his entire attention span was the clicking coming from two very large and deep blue crabs, They were the size of a miniature pony but twice as stocky, he came closer slowly and began patting the shell of the crustacean with a prominent grin on his face.
He was lifted onto the crab and he almost passed out, this creature was majestic and he was overjoyed with being this close and seeing such a gargantuan version. "You are big boy aren't you, you are so perfect, you are doing amazing"
The two who were leading and sharing a crab were sitting sideways and watching him patting the creature and speaking gibberish, they shared a look and rolled their eyes, heading through the place, there were lanterns filled with crystals that gave off a large green glow and the walls were covered with a blue bioluminescent slime, that seemed to come from snails that were traveling around the large cave painting the walls there houses glowing brightly lighting the whole place.
It was like a scene from a fantasy movie but all Namjoon could think of was studying each organism and creature and looking into their lifestyles. He knew there was so much to learn. He touched the wall and his fingers were covered in the thick glowing slime and he grinned and played with it slowly.
Namjoon was glad for his notebook and phone, as he would be able to document some of the creatures and sights he saw. He was going to take out his phone from the pouch, and snap some photos when the crabs stopped and he felt the fabric around his hands being pulled. Thanking the creature with a friendly grin he followed after them into an ornate room with big arches and intricate carvings in the crystal pillars that all glowed.
The room was round and directly across from the entrance was a small platform with a tall ornate throne, it seemed to be made of hard crystals but lavished with the soft silk fabric which made it seem quite comfortable.
Upon the seat was the most beautiful young man Namjoon had ever seen fabric wrapped delicately around his waist a little lower than Namjoon was comfortable with, it showed off the man’s deep adonis belt. His chest and arms were also muscular and Namjoon counted at least six elaborate necklaces and three armbands, the latter looking as if they would snap if he flexed his bicep. His hair was a little shaggy making his features look softer and more androgynous.
Namjoon was stopped and the men beside him began speaking, in their language, it was melodic, slow, and higher-pitched. Namjoon wondered if it was because they had to communicate underwater that the pitch was raised to cut through the water, he wondered if they had some sort of sonar in their bodies.
The young man on the throne listened to his subordinates, his eyes trailing over Namjoon’s form, making him feel nervous. Many people thought he was funny looking and dressed oddly, they thought his personality was dull and his hobbies and interests were too eclectic to be relatable. He was just waiting for the man on the throne to look at him with the same level of displeasure as others do when they first meet.
But it never happened instead the young man stood from his perch and walked towards him, stopping a few inches shorter than himself Namjoon smiled at him and held out his hand. The young man looked at Namjoon’s hand intrigued but waved him off and he was guided into another chamber and was made to sit in a room that he could only liken to a prison cell.
Namjoon had been there for what felt like half a day but according to his phone was only a few hours. The young man returned, handing him something wrapped in a leaf, Namjoon took it and frowned, it was seafood and he didn’t particularly like seafood especially since he had met so many nice sea creatures that day he couldn’t stomach it.
He handed it back shaking his head and the man frowned and tried to demonstrate eating it and handed it back. Namjoon tried he really did but the moment the raw fish touched his lips he vomited in the corner.
The man sighed placing down the leaf of food and rubbed Namjoon’s back in wonder, he looked at Namjoon’s build and tried removing his shirt making Namjoon blush but reluctantly removed his shirt.
“You all seem to trust skinship, so I will cooperate with your customs” He removed his shirt and dropped it to the floor beside him. The young man’s eyes were big and made him seem so innocent when he looked at Namjoon’s broad chest. He seemed to measure their builds making Namjoon chuckle. “Our builds are quite different, you all seem quite small and lithe for agility when swimming. If you think my shoulders are wide, you should see my best friend, he has very broad shoulders.”
The man in front of him adopted a deeper voice while scrunching his nose playfully. Namjoon rubbed the back of his head bashfully, he must stick out like a sore thumb, a big burly guy with a deep voice amongst these elegant lean creatures who were sweetly spoken.
He lowered his head in a greeting and said something and Namjoon lowered his head and repeated it making him laugh his face lighting up. This perhaps king was cheeky, he liked to play games, or at least this was the impression Namjoon got from him.
It was going to take a while for the two to communicate properly without understanding but the king hummed and kissed him on the lips surprising Namjoon. When the two finally pulled away from the kiss the young man laughed again and said. “I hope now you can understand me, my name is Jeon Jungkook, I am the King of the Merpeople”
“What!?”

a choice for the choiceless // a Batwoman, post-2x15 fic
about: Post 2x15, the ladies of the Bat Team try to help their friend, who seems almost resentful to be alive. How do you help someone when they’re in a place like this? + read on ao3
Notes: there was a lot in 2x15 (“Armed and Dangerous”), and this is partially me processing my own feelings, as well as everyone else’s. Spoilers below for that episode, as it picks up close after. Features the whole of our Bat Team; some Hamilfox and hints of Wildmoore feels here as well
Content Warnings: brief talk of suicidal ideology, hopelessness, and systemic violence against Black people
.
.
Luke stares out the window at The Hold Up. His shoulders cave inwards, and his neck strains to make up for the fact that he hasn’t totally turned towards the light. He watches it though. Tracks the people on the street while Sophie crosses back over to him with their coffees.
It’s been three days since Luke woke up from his coma. Sophie hasn’t spent a lot of time with him since then. Mostly, she talks with Jacob about what a new version of the Crows would require. She texts with Mary and Ryan, who swear that Luke will be back to his old self any day now. But Sophie wants to see for herself how he’s doing.
She sets his hot cup in front of him. The steam slips from the top of it. He glances over and nods his thanks in her direction.
Sophie starts light. “I’ve been meaning to congratulate you. You and Ryan really had me going when I ‘introduced’ you that day.” They’d pretended not to know each other, which gave Ryan a chance to poke fun at Luke. “I should’ve known you were joking. You don’t seem like a sweet drinks kind of guy.”
Luke picks up his cup. “I’m not.”
“Not the talkative kind of guy either?” she asks. Luke sighs into the top of his cup. Sophie offers a smile. “Hey, totally fine. I just wanted to see how you’re doing.”
“Probably about as good as you,” he says. His nostrils flare before he swipes under his nose. “Kate’s gone. Your mom won’t talk to you. The Crows are completely dismantled. In a few short months, you’ve essentially lost everything that you’ve spent your whole life working towards. How are you, Soph?”
On edge, with that list.
Sophie shifts back in her seat to get away from the cold facade that’s taken over Luke. She sips her own drink to buy a moment to process. He doesn’t mean to be blunt. He’s deflecting rather than talking about himself, but if Sophie can say the right thing, then maybe her words can help him out too.
“I’m… managing. I would much rather see all of this as a chance to start over.” At least that’s how she’s trying to see things. “Jacob’s getting clean. Ryan and I aren’t constantly fighting. She actually sat next to me on the couch yesterday without comment, so…. There's good stuff happening too. It’s not just a loss.”
Luke meets her eyes for a moment, but the warmth and curiosity that’s normally there is gone. Snuffed out. He takes another swig of his coffee, then sets the empty cup back onto the table.
“Glad to hear it,” he deadpans. “I’ll see you at the office.”
He pushes his chair back, and Sophie can’t find the words to tell him to stop. He walks off without another look at her. Sophie grabs her phone from her bag and calls Ryan.
Ryan speaks immediately. “Hey, how is he?”
Sophie sighs. “He’s still off.”
A walk sign beeps on Ryan’s end of the call. She says, “He came back from the dead. It can take a lot out of someone.”
“You bounced back pretty quick.” If Sophie remembers correctly, Ryan was back on the streets immediately. Sophie mourned Kate, and Ryan as Batwoman tore through the streets to try and take down the False Face Society. She didn’t shut down like this.
“I don’t think we can compare these. I said my goodbyes on that island, but Luke experienced one of the worst fears that we could have. Not to mention the constant think pieces and hashtags and infographics with him at the center. Give him some time. He’ll be fine.”
Luke has been a trending topic since the day of his shooting. Maybe he does only need time. Maybe he’ll snap out of it. But when Alice kidnapped Sophie nearly a year ago, Sophie would wake up from nightmares of being on that beam again. Nightmares where Batwoman didn’t swoop in, or the bomb went off, or Alice simply killed her. Sophie doesn’t have those nightmares much anymore. But sometimes, when she’s really stressed, or feeling extra alone, she can feel the winds whipping around her still.
Sophie clears her throat and clutches her phone a little tighter to her face. “Just keep an eye on him, okay?”
“I’m walking into the Tower right now. We’ve got him. Don’t worry.”
“Says the girl who cried in my arms last week.”
Ryan inhales sharply. “We’re not talking about that.”
Sure thing. They can just gloss over the fact that Ryan sank into Sophie’s arms like it was natural, or that they’d spent nearly ten minutes like that, just holding on and hoping that he would be okay. They’re still holding, even if they won’t admit it.
“Talk to him, Ryan. See if he talks back.”
“I will.”
 .
.
Ryan puts off having a heart to heart with Luke for a few days. He’s clearly not in the mood. Every time she even tries to talk to him, he shuts her down like it’s her first week in the Bat Team all over again. So, she waits until he’s busy and tries to meet him where he’s at — beating the shit out of the punching bag in the Batcave.
The lights are barely on, so the Cave’s half in shadow. From the moment the elevator descends, all Ryan hears is the thick thud of the punching bag. The quick, hard hits of his bare fists. Luke hops from foot to foot in his fighting stance.
Ryan keeps her voice playful. “Try picking on someone your own size.” She sets him up with that. He’s got quite a few inches on her. He’d called her pocket size a few months back when she tried to show how threatening she could be outside of the suit.
But this version of Luke doesn’t even look at her. His whole body’s glistening with sweat at this point, and he grunts out, “I’m good,” before launching into a quick combo on the bag.
Ryan breezes down the catwalk to get to the training area. Closer now, he looks smaller than he used to. Like he’s not eating and instead spends all his time putting on tank tops and joggers and hiding out from the people who care about him.
She pops into her own fighting stance a few steps out of the danger zone.
“Well, I’m really good. I don’t mean to brag, but I am teaching multiple martial arts classes.”
He does a spin kick that sends the bag moving a lot further than it used to. How much time has he been spending down here? What’s he preparing for?
Luke steadies the bag. “I don’t want to fight you, Ryan.”
She takes the pause in his practice to grab the other side of the bag.
“Don’t worry, I can go easy on you. Since you’re still healing and all.” She offers him a teasing smile. His cue to joke back. It might’ve taken them a while to get there, but Ryan and Luke normally play like siblings. She’s never had a brother before him. She doesn’t want to fight either.
He sighs. “Desert rose healed me all up. It’s like it—” He readjusts the wraps on his hands. Finally, he meets her eyes, and the rage in them contradicts how forcibly still his voice sounds. “It’s like it never happened.”
Ryan says, “That’s a good thing, right? You don’t have to worry about scars come summertime.”
Luke jerks his head to the side to tell her to move. Ryan reluctantly lets the bag go, and he gets back to punching. His breath comes out short, but the way he’s hitting feels emotional. Sporadic and pained.
She takes a shaky breath. “Okay, not a good thing. You seem angry. I get anger. You said yourself that I charge into fights that I know I can’t win, and maybe that’s what I’m doing with you.” She has to talk louder over his increased punching speed. “If you want to fight, then we’ll fight. If you want to scream, then we can scream. But this silent brooding thing isn’t you, Luke.”
His head whips around to face her. The bag nearly hits him back as he scoffs at her. “You’ve known me less than a year. You have no idea who I am. Or what I want.”
She reaches her hands out to him. “Then tell me,” she pleads. “Because I want my friend back.”
The fire in his eyes gives way to something hollow. Something aching. He gulps. “Well, you got him.”
“Don’t sound so sad about it,” she says. His jaw twitches, and his nostrils flare. “Wait…. Are you sad about being back?”
Luke starts unwrapping his hands. “I’m fine, Ryan.”
She crosses over to get directly in his face. “But are you happy? Are you upset? Are you—”
“I’m fine!” he yells. His voice echoes through the Batcave, and Ryan flinches. He takes a second to drop his eyes before storming straight for the elevator. He calls over his shoulder. “You can tell Sophie that too.”
Ryan waits until he’s inside the elevator to reply. “What about Mary? You want me to lie to her too?”
Luke’s face crumbles. Then he steadies it back to stone. “Tell her whatever you want. I can’t stop you.” He flips the switch to leave.
Ryan screams because she knows he’ll hear it. Throws her weight behind a punch that sends the bag rattling on its chain.
 .
.
“See,” Sophie holds her glass up for Ryan to refill, “I told you.” She frowns as she says it, which does make her normal righteousness less pronounced. The fact that she’s curled into herself on Ryan and Mary’s couch also helps lessen the blow.
Ryan dumps the last of their shared wine bottle into Sophie’s glass before plopping the bottle onto the coffee table. She settles back into her half of the couch.
Mary speaks up from her seat in the comfy chair. “What else can we do? If he’s not talking to any of us, or a therapist, then how are we supposed to get Luke back?”
Sophie shrugs.
Ryan suggests, “We could reach out to Stephanie. Maybe a nerd date will help Luke feel better.”
Mary says, “Just because you started dating Imani immediately after—”
Ryan cuts in, “I didn’t date her immediately after—”
Mary gets louder. “Yeah, you kind of did. Angelique left on the 3:15 train out of Gotham, and Imani came in at 3:30.” She rubs the tense spot between her eyebrows. “No judgment, but maybe that’s not the answer.”
Ryan glances to Sophie for a little support, but the ex-Crow finds her wine real interesting around then. Ryan should defend herself. She dated Imani to get out of her head. Angelique was her first love, but she and Ang weren’t meant to be each other’s only relationship. Waiting around wouldn’t have changed the fact that Ang was starting a new life. Ryan had to start one too.
She shifts on the couch, so her knees can tuck under her body better. Her leg bumps into Sophie’s, and neither of them make a move to shift away. Sophie stares down at their point of contact.
“Maybe he just needs to know we’re here for him. We keep showing up, and eventually, he’ll have to talk to us.”
Ryan nods. “In that case, you’re up, Mary.”
Mary sighs into her wine. “No pressure, right?”
 .
.
Mary and Luke don’t hang out a ton in the real world. Usually, they’re in the Batcave when they spend time together. Or he helps her at the clinic. So, she figures that she shouldn’t exactly rock the boat too far.
Luke sits down on one of the exam chairs in the clinic. The whole space is empty, with the closed sign on the front door. He shrugs out of his jacket. She tries not to look as nervous as she feels.
“Thanks for coming down.” She wrings her hands before stopping herself and planting them firmly against her sides. “I wanted to see how the desert rose in your blood compares to mine, or Ryan’s. So, uh, it shouldn’t take too long to do the draw.”
Luke nods. “Sure thing.” He rolls the sleeve of his left arm up. “I’m all yours.”
“Right.” She chuckles, but it’s a breathless kind. The kind that she needs to clear her throat to cover.
The tray’s already prepped beside him with the needle and test tubes. She rolls her own chair to stop beside him. It’s honestly the closest they’ve been since he’s gotten out of the hospital. He probably doesn’t even remember her being there. Or what she said about needing him just before he came back. That’s probably too intense of a topic to start with.
She ties a band on his arm to make his veins pop. She wouldn’t need it normally. Luke’s got great veins. Great skin in general. Softer than she’d expect for a guy who spends all his time in the same suit. She actually hasn’t seem him in casual clothes that often, come to think of it. Does he own casual clothes?
Luke chuckles. “You’re thinking pretty hard there. First time?”
Mary springs for the needle. “Ha ha. I just… started thinking about… my dad. Because of veins! And Snakebite. He’s, um… doing better?”
He smiles at her, like actually gives a short glimpse of connection. “That’s really good to hear.”
Mary runs with it. “Yeah, and he’s talking about his feelings. And Alice even warned me that somebody might try to hurt me. It’s weird, and I don’t want Alice as my family, but it’s also nice to not feel super alone….” She pricks him then. His face scrunches for a second, and she watches the vial fill up rather than watching his face. “It’s why I’m so grateful to you and Ryan and Sophie. You’ve been my family through all of this. I seriously don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Luke’s left arm twitches, but it doesn’t feel like a blood thing. More like he wants to reach out with it. She keeps her eyes low and unlatches the first vial. Grabs the second and lets that one fill too.
Luke says, “I guess it’s different for me. I have my mom, but…. Did you know she calls me every single day for check-ins?” He sounds tired but amused. “She sent me an Amazon link for a bulletproof vest yesterday. Never mind the fact that I run Wayne Tech and have literally made a better one in my sleep.” His jaw trembles. “But I get it. She almost lost me in the same exact way that we lost my dad. I-I almost did that to her.”
Mary scrambles to say, “You didn’t do anything.”
“I would have. If… if the choice were up to me, I would not have come back.” He turns to face Mary again. “A-and I love my mom. And I love our team. But I am so tired of being a part of a world like this.”
Her heart crumbles in her chest. The vial nearly overflows, and she has to grab the third one. Her hands shake as she goes for it. Her voice shakes too. “You sound kind of… schmuicidal when you say stuff like that.”
“I’m not going to kill myself,” he says. He sounds sure of that.
“But you want to die?” she asks.
“I don’t want….” He sighs and rephrases. “I just want to be somewhere else sometimes. And this whole thing has made anywhere else seem better. I mean, I was in a coma, Mary, and they were photoshopping a gun into my hand. Why would I want to be here?”
She stops the blood drawing to hold his hand. “I’m here. And Batwoman is here.”
He balls his fist beneath her grip. “And no one’s checking to see if me or Ryan are a part of the team. I’ve spent my whole life doing things the right way, and I am exhausted.”
Mary lifts her other hand to open his fist. She turns his hand so they can be palm to palm, so she can thread her fingers through his and let him feel where she’s at too. Because she might be exhausted for different reasons, but she’s tired too.
“I think it’s okay to be exhausted. And to want a break. But you can’t let all of this break you. And if it feels like it is, then I’d really like to help hold you together.” She smiles at him, and he glances away to blink some of the tears out of his eyes. She lifts her voice to add on, “Preferably with the help of a licensed psychological professional.”
“You’re not licensed, and you save lives.” He squeezes the hand in hers. “You saved me.”
Mary nods. “True, but an actual therapist could help you talk through this stuff without you feeling like you’re going to be judged, or a burden — which you’re not.” She practically scoots out of her seat to be closer to him. Her knees knock into the side of his chair, and she would totally feel ridiculous if not for the fact that he angles his body towards her too. “God, Luke, I am so glad that you’re talking to me. I want to know how you feel and what you’re going through. But I also know that a therapist can put this in a perspective that I can’t. So please consider talking to one?”
He holds her stare for a moment. “On one condition.”
“Name it.”
“Next time you want to talk, you just take me to dinner instead of taking my blood.”
Mary laughs, and Luke laughs too. “Deal.”
 .
.
Luke’s in the bathroom when Mary texts the girl group chat.
Mary to 🦇 LADIES DO IT BATTER GC 🦇 He sounds better. We’re getting dinner and hopefully he’s getting a therapist.
Sophie to 🦇 LADIES DO IT BATTER GC 🦇 Great job, Mary.
Ryan to 🦇 LADIES DO IT BATTER GC 🦇 That’s my girl! Or Luke’s girl? 👀
Sophie to 🦇 LADIES DO IT BATTER GC 🦇 Ryan, they’re just getting dinner
Ryan to 🦇 LADIES DO IT BATTER GC 🦇 For now ;)
Mary leaves them on read and stuffs her phone back into her purse. Luke comes back out of the bathroom, drying his hands on a paper towel. “Ready to go?”
Mary nods. “Yeah, we’ll find our way back.” It’s the only choice they have.
.

.
a/n: The hopelessness that Luke feels in this episode and the near constant mix of emotions feel so true to my experiences over the last few years. one thing that they have gotten very right are different aspects of these Black experiences. There’s a lot to work through, and I’ve found that therapy and leaning on friends has been real helpful. Hope that Luke gets that too. Hope that you all have that as well.
Let me know how you’re feeling, re: this, or this season. Talk to me, Gotham. I’ll talk back.

Friend Fail || Skylar and Morgan
@theskyeandsea
Don’t do blood magic in front of the baby seal.
Morgan stopped her work for the third time this hour to make sure she really did have everything she needed. The crystals were all made, the bath salt jars were freshly clean and ready. She had her measuring cups and postage boxes so Skylar could help. She had even gotten through half her grading. There really was no reason not to make use of her new chalkboard and try another summoning. She’d gotten Sean with a birthday cake--sort of. Who was to say she couldn’t get Constance with a proper circle and a little blood? At least, practice getting the circle, right? The board had even come with chalk in three different colors, just waiting, begging to be used. Morgan checked her phone to see where the planets were. Still Aquarius season, so not great for her, but her Mercury was almost in a water sign. It was all so...promising. Enough to give her pause and make her look around the room once more. It didn’t feel very much like skirting around the curse if the universe was setting everything up so nicely for her. But if she waited until things were more dire, what would that achieve? Morgan pulled up the spell on her phone again. This was not Cassie approved, but at least she had salt this time. She could line the place if she decided to get serious. Which, she wouldn’t. Probably. (What if this was her one door and she was missing the good kind of signal? Or what if that was just what the curse wanted her to think?)
A knock at the door startled her out of her thought loop. Right. Skylar was stopping by the house to visit. Good for her! Making friends with grownups was kind of pitiful, but she’d been there before herself. Sometimes you had to take what you could get. “Hey, come on in!” She stepped back and signed, Good afternoon! Happy to see you. She’d watched a couple of videos online and had mostly memorized the greeting, plus two other words. Work there, Magic there.
Skylar really, really, really didn’t want to be here. Her head had been aching all day, she’d barely been able to eat anything, and her body just felt run down, even though she’d slept ten hours the previous night. And… what made it worse was she knew exactly why she was feeling this way. Ricky had told her as much. It was because she hadn’t transformed. Apparently, all her problems were a direct result of not turning into a seal, which she didn’t quite follow. She wasn’t a seal who could sometimes be human. She was a human, a normal human. With… quirks. Taking a long drink from her thermos of coffee, Skylar sighed as she walked up to Morgan’s house. This was going to be good for her. This was going to be something good and helpful and nice. Because Morgan had been nothing but nice and helpful, even after Skylar had been dismissive of the whole magic situation. Knocking on the door, Skylar offered what she hoped was a bright smile as Morgan opened the door.
The signing threw her for a second. For one thing, she was going way too fast for her fingers, so they came out garbled. Skylar could tell what she meant, but it wasn’t the best use of sign. “Hi! Thanks for having me.” She said. Setting her coffee down, she let out a small laugh and signed, What do you mean by work there, magic here?
Oh, thank god Skylar could talk just fine, maybe (probably) even read lips! Morgan saw the two whole words she’d learned outside of the basic greeting repeated in a new way, one she had no idea how to answer. She winced. “Sorry. Just--different tasks I have going on today! Um, I’ve got some bath salts that need to go into those very uh, hashtag aesthetic jars, and I have this shiny new chalkboard that has a lot of magic potential! I’m not going to do anything to it, I should clarify, I’m going to use it to make some more elaborate circles that I’m using right now.” Only after she finished did she realize just how fast she was prone to talking sometimes. Sorry, she signed, the only other word she’d thought make handy use of. “I talk fast sometimes, and I don’t always realize. Can I get you some sweet tea?”
“No problem.” Skylar said, waving it off with a laugh. “I was joking. Sorry, I didn’t mean to make fun.” She said as she took look around Morgan’s house curiously. There were a lot of odds and ends, and a lot of jars as well. What were the jars for? Watching Morgan intently, Skylar did her best to match the lip movements with what she was hearing, but it wasn’t easy. Morgan was speaking just a bit too quickly for her. “Ah. It’s okay, really! You said something about aesthetic jars? Is that what these are for?” She said, gesturing to the mason jars that were set up. “Tea? No, no, I’m good. Thank you though.” Skylar said as she picked up her thermos from where she’d set it down. Being around other people usually helped take her mind off what troubled her, so hopefully helping Morgan would do the same.
“No, I think you earn the right to tease,” Morgan said, trying to reassure her. “I tried to be competent in your language over the course of forty-eight hours maybe, with nothing but youtube and willpower. But, grab a pillow! Make yourself cozy!” She grabbed some tea for herself and sat on the floor with her shiny new board. It was so smooth it didn’t even look real. Morgan broke the seal on the chalk. It was good to practice, right? “You can put the TV on and make yourself at home if you want, but if you really want to help, You can use the measuring cup to put two scoops into the jars.” Morgan beamed over at the girl, who, now that she wasn’t moving quite so fast, really did seem in need of some kind of pick-me-up, poor kid.
Shaking her head, Skylar shrugged. “I appreciate you trying at the very least. It’s more than a lot of people do.” She said, the thought making her slightly melancholy. Ack. No, no, no. Watching as Morgan picked up a neat little chalkboard, she settled down on the proffered pillow, her legs curling under her. “Oh, that’s okay. I’d much rather do something productive than just use your cable.” She said with a smile. Looking at the set up in front of her, Skylar set to work doing as she was told, putting two scoops of… stuff into the jars and screwing the lids on. “What are these jars full of anyways? Magic salt or something?” She asked curiously.
Morgan began drawing the circle. After so many years of alchemy, she was pretty good at freehand, though everything that went in would need more precision. She couldn’t help but smile at the tingle that went up her hand from that new-supply feeling. She looked up at Skylar to make sure she could see what she was saying alright. “Salt, lavender oil, dry roses and yarrow, and ground crystals. Very relaxing, but less real magic and more mind over matter fluffy magic,” she admitted. She got up and went for her chalk compass. “This, on the other hand, will hopefully be real magic someday. Thank you for deciding to help me out, by the way.”
All of the things Morgan rattled off sounded just like normal herbal stuff that you could find in any shop, which Skylar realized was exactly the case as the woman finished speaking. Hm. So there were still some parts of “magic” that weren’t exactly flame throwers and turning garbage into candles. At least some things still made sense. Lavender was just relaxing because it smelled nice, not because it had any crazy property to it. “No, don’t worry about it. I needed to get out of the house anyways.” She said as she filled another jar with salt mixture. She watched as Morgan grabbed a small instrument and tilted her head, intrigued. “What’s all of that for? The chalkboard and things.”
Morgan hesitated, compass in hand, as she started to section off her array, making room for each of the runes and sigils she would need to make this work. And, terrifying as the feeling was, she couldn’t help but feel excited. She had a name. Constance Bachman. She had to be related to Sean and Agnes, even if she hadn’t been able to find her name in the geneology list. Maybe a spinster aunt? Or a lost sister? Either way, she was findable. And if Morgan actually managed to hack herself a successful, specific, ghost summoning with this, it would be the craziest and most amazing feat of magic she’d ever accomplished. Which meant she definitely wouldn’t today. Or that if she did, she’d get some static-y bitter brother of Sean’s. Or maybe some minor pesky demon. But she had to thread the needle between knowing the curse wanted to screw her over and manifesting some progress. It could work. And, well, who was Skylar going to talk about it with anyway? “Reason A for getting a big board is so I can make my crystals faster. The more material I can fit and work with, the more I can pop out at a time. My pop socket lid is great, but really not practical. But this,” she explained. “Is something different than my normal bag of tricks. I’ve got this project about spirits and their living descendants.” She began marking out the basic runes for summoning, then constructing the smaller circle she had designed to get Constance. Hopefully, anyway. She reached over for the version she’d sketched out on paper. She smudged away one of the sigils and drew it over again, clearer this time. “If it works, I might be able to bring someone over. Wanna see?”
Skylar watched as Morgan divied up the board with chalk, still not quite sure what she was looking it. Magic seemed to be a bit different than she thought it was. Winston had just kinda… done magic when they’d done it. But, she supposed that there was probably some method to the madness. Continuing to screw the lids on jars, she listened as Morgan offered an explanation. She wasn’t really sure what she meant by pop socket lid-- was she talking about the thing on the back of phones? Not wanting to interupt, she continued to listen. “So… you’re using a chalk board to summon a ghost?” She repeat, just trying to wrap her head around all of that. Ghosts. Ghosts were real. Okay. And you could use chalk and weird little doodles to make them appear? Mmmm, that was less okay. Even though she didn’t really want to see the odd little circle, Skylar scooted closer, “That’s interesting. They look like something out of Skyrim, honestly.”
Morgan was almost finished. She laid it down on the floor and examined her handiwork, then knelt down to add in the minor markings of the array. “What’s a Skyrim?” She asked. “Wait, don’t tell me--it’s that new show on Netflix right?” No, that sounded wrong. Morgan was more preoccupied with getting all the connecting lines just right anyway. “Sorry,” she said, looking up again. “I’m old. Like way old. I follow Grey’s Anatomy, and I have my supernatural crime shows, and food network. But tell me about Skyrim! I’m just going to grab some salt from the kitchen real quick.”
Raising an eyebrow, Skylar tilted her head in surprise. Mm. Well, after Alain had sent her the weird old French music, it shouldn’t be that surprising that some people weren’t as in the know with video games and stuff. “It’s a video game. You play as a Dragonborn, someone who’s got the spirit of a dragon, and can read and speak the ancient language of dragons. It’s…” She paused, realizing that she had no idea if dragons were a real thing. Were they real? Was Skyrim real? “It’s a fun game!” She finished, offering a slightly stressed smile. Oh dear. “Are you using table salt..” She asked. So, magic consisted of weird little runes on a chalkboard and table salt. Good to know, good to know.
Video games. Morgan probably should have guessed something like that. There hadn’t been time or money to that when she was a kid, and though now, as far as she could tell, you could download one off the internet for thirty dollars, it seemed like an alien existence. “It sounds like fun!” She said brightly. “Fantasy conception is one of my favorite interests. Oh--and it’s not table salt, or not just table salt. It’s a mix this exorcist friend of mine told me about.” She came back out with the mix and started shifting around some objects in the room. She would need to get the real estate for this eventually. And maybe--maybe this could happen. “Hey, Skylar, do you think you can write the alphabet out for me real quick?
“It’s a neat game, mhm.” Skylar said with a smile before taking a long sip of coffee. Thank God for this new thermos, honestly. Alain had been right about investing in one of these. And she honestly needed it now more than ever. As Morgan explained the mix of salt, Skylar watched with interest as she moved things around. Was this a big spell..? She had been under the assumption that the… spirit would just pop out of the chalk board kinda like a hologram in Star Wars or something. But then again, what did she know about magic anyways? “Huh? Oh, sure. On the chalkboard or somewhere else?” She asked, picking up one of the pieces of chalk from where Morgan had left them.
“Huh?” Morgan looked up from her work distractedly. “No, just grab a pen and paper from my grading pile over there. If I do, hypothetically, get a ghost in here, it’s going to need a way to talk to me. Especially, uh, since I can’t see them!” She was finished. She was finished and she felt like she’d stolen a cookie from her mom’s jar. Like she should run and enjoy her spoils or stay and get as many into her hand before she was caught. Morgan started to work on the salt circle, was going to fetch her dad’s old athame, just cleaned, before she realized just how this might look to someone who just learned that half the mythical creatures they’d read about as a kid were real. “Um, you don’t have to stick around for this part if it’s too much,” she said. “My cat is around somewhere if you’d like to meet her, or I can take it from here,” she offered. “Unless you can secretly see ghosts, in which case I will literally pay you to stick around.”
The back of her neck burning in embarrassment, Skylar nodded and did as Morgan told her. “Sure! Will do!” She said, hoping her tone sounded bright and not mortified. Mmm, yeah the alphabet made more sense to be written on a piece of paper. Writing out the alphabet in clean, large letters, Skylar tilted her head in surprise. “You can’t see ghosts? I thought that if you summoned them you’d be able to see them. But, um, sorry. Dumb assumption, I guess.” She said as she printed out a large Z. When Morgan offered her an out, Skylar chewed on the inside of her cheek. A big part of her wanted nothing more than to just… pretend that this wasn’t real. She wanted to forget everything about this. But, she couldn’t just run away from magic. It was here and she should know more about it. “Um, sorry. I don’t think I can see ghosts, but… I’d like to stay, if that’s okay. I just, I want to know more about all of this.”
“Oh, gosh, I wish,” Morgan confessed. “I honestly thought that too, but as it turns out you need some kind of special ability for that. And, for the record, not a dumb question. Didn’t you only learn all this weird shit was real two weeks ago? You’re harder on yourself than I am on actual students. There’s a lot to learn. Too much, really. I’ve known magic was real my whole life and I just figured out the ghost thing a while ago.” She smiled brightly at Skylar, hoping she felt better and went for the athame. She’d laid the salt thick. If, even, anything happened, they would be safe, and she could vacuum away the evidence before Cece came home to ask questions. And maybe if she was lucky Skylar would be willing to help with that too. She grabbed one of her novelty bowls, a tragic indulgence from the dollar store during her Traveler’s Rest stay, the happy faces of the Disney princesses already peeling away, and positioned herself over the circle. Then she put Skylar’s alphabet paper and pen in where it wouldn’t disturb the runes. “Let’s just hope this doesn’t turn out really anticlimactic, huh?” She raised the ritual knife and began to chant. So far so good. Then came the time for her blood offering. Morgan pressed the knife into her arm, voice hiccuping only a little as the pain sliced into her. So far, so good. Then she looked down into the bowl to make sure she had enough and the world shrank down to the size of a single drop of blood. She went silent and the rising magic and the knife both went whizzing away from her.
“I… Yeah, only the last two weeks, with the karkinoids.” Skylar said with a shrug as she moved over to the side, letting Morgan do all the final preparation work on the spell that she had laid out. But… No, Morgan didn’t need to know about her situation. Not after she mentioned how there were people going around trying to steal teeth for potions and stuff. Skylar watched, curiously as Morgan pulled out a weird little disney princess bowl and set it down. Were princesses important for this? Fingers curling up at her side, she forced herself to watch as Morgan began to say words she’d never heard before and then draw the knife blade-- What the fuuuuuuck was she doing? Before Skylar could react, tremors began to fill the room, the bowl of blood shaking violently-- A sharp pain lanced through her right shoulder, searing and hot, as the knife flew towards her and lodged itself into her body. Letting out a scream of pain, Skylar fell to the ground, a large spout of blood splattering across the room. “MORGAN!” She cried out, panic threatening to overwhelm her as she stared at the knife sticking out of her.
Morgan didn’t hear or notice anything except the blood in the bowl. She shoved the plastic into her mouth with both hands, guzzling the liquid ravenously and licking the sides where it had stuck. And there was more, streaks puddling on the floor and the coffee table. Morgan dropped the bowl and threw herself down to lap them all up. When she pulled away at last, panting and dizzy, her face stained from nose to chin, and saw her dad’s knife lodged in Skylar’s arm. “Oh fuck.” She licked her lips in spite of herself and scrambled to her feet. Keys. She needed her phone and her keys so they could get to the car so they could drive to the hospital. Fuck. The fucking blood clinger. She should’ve known it wouldn’t have worn off that quickly. “It’s okay, it’s okay!” She cried, her voice jumping higher each time she said it. The edges of her vision felt blurry and she grabbed an empty mason jar while she was at it. “Come on, we’re taking you to the hospital, okay! Also, hold this to collect any blood you lose! This is fine, you’re gonna be fine!” She, on the other hand, looked like a walking crime scene, but maybe if she bulldozed ahead on the knife inside the girl’s arm they wouldn’t have to go into it.
Skylar began to hyperventilate as she stared at the knife in her arm, her vision narrowing at the edges as she tried to focus on anything other than the knife-- “What the fuck are you doing?!” Skylar screamed, pointing at the bowl of blood that Morgan had just drank from. Scrambling away across the floor, she let out a cry of pain as she tried to put as much distance from her and Morgan, who was apparently some kinda vampire? “G-get away from me!” Skylar said, rivulets of blood running down her arm to pool on the floor. The more she struggled, the more and more blood poured from around the knife still lodged in her arm. “I’m not going anywhere with a vampire! An-And I’m not,” She let out a groan of pain as her arm screamed in pain, “Going to make you a to-go cup!”
“Oh my god you’re making it worse!” Morgan shrieked, starting to panic herself. She screwed her eyes shut. Maybe if she didn’t see the blood she wouldn’t have some weird blood-clinger blackout. “I’m not a vampire, it was a magic tick! I thought it had worn off  but apparently not! I mean, would you rather be the juice box? Come on!” But no sooner did she settle this in her head than did she slip on the floor and come face to face with the fresh streams of blood from Skylar. Morgan forgot everything she was talking about and licked them up like her life depended on it.
As Morgan tried to convince her that she wasn’t some kind of vampire out to suck her blood, Skylar remembered what Ricky had told her. Selkies had more blood than other people, making them prime targets for vampires. “A magic tick? That’s, that’s a thing? WHAT THE FUCK!” Skylar screeched as Morgan dropped down and began to lap up her blood from the floor. Skylar watched in horror and reached behind her to pull herself up to her feet-- she needed to get out of her, she needed too… As she stood up, what blood was in her head, immediately rushed out and her vision went white around the edges as fell back to the ground, woozy. “I… I… I’m…” She couldn’t fully make out words any more, all she could do was grasp at a nearby mason jar and hold it to her still bleeding shoulder.
Morgan slithered her way over the floor, lapping every drop until her tongue felt rough and every drop had been siphoned. She groaned, still thirsty, and made a grab for Skylar, but missed as the girl stood up. Her head hit the wall and she lost her balance, going splat and rolling onto her back Slowly, her brain cleared again. Maybe anticlimactic would’ve been better after all. “Skylar??” She asked. “Are you still there? Can you drive yourself maybe? Or, I don’t know, call an Uber? There’s Uber in White Crest, right?” She was afraid to get up again. Afraid the floor would fall out from under herself. Afraid of the red, tangy blood. It was still on her rough-scraped tongue and in the back of her, hateful and terrifying. But in the moment it hadn’t been. God she was so screwed. “Skylar--?” She croaked.
“Mmmnot good. No’ good.” Skylar said thickly, her head heavy as she continued to try and get away from Morgan. Holding the mason jar in her hand, she did her best to siphon some of the blood that clung to her skin into the jar. “Don’ eat me… ’m… fishy. Wouldn’t tas’ good.” Her words slurred together as she slid the mason jar towards Morgan. Uber? Her phone. Her phone! Pulling her phone out of her pocket, Skylar swiped her thumb across the screen to send a garbled text before setting it down on the ground, “Please don’t eat me.” She mumbled.
This was not going to be a good day. And really, Morgan should’ve known better than to hope for getting away with anything for long. She reached across the floor and grabbed the jar, stomach-lurching at the precaution and inched, achingly, to a sit. “I promise on whatever will make you feel better I do not want to eat you!” Never the less she sipped the blood. It didn’t soothe her like it did earlier, so maybe she was past the worst of this. “Come on, Uber’s going to take too long and you need help.” She was unsteady on her feet, but she had what she needed and she could just about make it to the door, to-go cup in hand as Skylar had so kindly put it. She staggered out and took a deep lung full of fresh air. She had no idea how she was going to explain this to Ricky, or anyone else for that matter. How far was the hospital again?
“Not an Uber… Ricky, he’s gonna… gonna help me. Can’ go hospital.” Skylar said, shaking her head back and forth. As she continued to struggle away, she fell flat on her back onto Morgan’s floor, the knife still sticking out of her shoulder. Fatigue and blood loss overtook her and Skylar passed out right in the entryway of the front door.
Morgan heard the thump of Skylar’s body on the floor and went more or less splat herself on Cece’s porch in defeat. The was no way she was getting her in the car by herself, or answering any questions EMTs might have. And Skylar didn’t want that stuff anyways, though whether it was because health insurance was a curse on everyone, or because of some supernatural bullshit she didn’t know about yet, she had no clue. But in the end, it didn’t matter. Morgan sent off some messages and waited for everything, as usual, to get worse.

3 APPS THAT KEEP YOU CONSISTENT AND ORGANIZED
Consistency, Consistency, Consistency. With content being easier than ever to create, social platforms are much more saturated than they used to be. The key to standing out is making sure that your posts are going up regularly and are consistent with your theme.
Don’t get us wrong we know that running a business or brand is no easy task and understand that keeping up with your social media posts might be at the bottom of your list, but were here to tell you that there’s an app for that (no, really there is)!
Here are our top 3 favorite apps for planning and scheduling posts:
1, Planoly: Is the first visual planner and scheduler for Instagram. Its monthly calendar enables users to schedule Instagram posts and captions, search hashtags, manage and reply to comments, view analytics, and more.
It also enables you to visually plan your Instagram feed(s). That means you can drag and drop your posts into different positions so you can see what they look like when they post to your Instagram feed. That is perfect if you want to have a good-looking feed that’s going to amaze your audience when they view your page. There is a paid version that grants users access to more features; however, the free version is a great steppingstone.
“PLANOLY was the first visual planner for Instagram - homegrown and beautifully crafted to be simple, clean and easy to use. Now we’re simplifying social marketing on Facebook and Pinterest too!”
Tumblr media
2. Sked Social: Sked Social’s content queue allows users to prep photos, captions and hashtags for repeated use. The platform provides a real-time, drag-and-drop preview of your Instagram posts before they go live. This allows for quick and easy changes if you’re not happy with your feed’s aesthetics.
Built-in post templates and a variety of photo editing filters are nice creative touches to help your posts pop, too. The platform itself is highly intuitive for those working with visual content on Instagram.
Sked Social: “Get rid of all that manual work by scheduling posts and stories that publish automatically to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter – it’s that easy.”
Tumblr media
3. Plann: Last but not least, we have Plann. This is a fuss-free app that is very straight forward to use. Aside from the standard scheduling, you can have plenty of fun with your images, from retouching and resizing to using stickers, borders and text to make your content truly pop.
A pretty neat feature that Plann has is you can link the app to your Google Drive and Dropbox for super simple sharing. Plus, this one has a competitor stats tool, allowing you a peep at other users’ best performing hashtags. Sneaky but oh-so handy!
Plann: “Put your best visual foot forward.
You and your team can use our seamless drag + drop planner to arrange (and rearrange!) your best brand aesthetic.”

Negans Warm Weather Writing Challenge
I did a fall/autumn version of this over a year ago, so I figured why not celebrate the other, warmer seasons as well :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please read the rules carefully, to avoid confusion:
Below the cut, I have a list of 30 spring and summer-themed prompts for y’all to choose from. Please let me know which prompt(s) you want VIA AN ASK. If you would like to write two fics for two different prompts (or even more than two), go for it! You can also combine multiple prompts into one fic! If you want more than one prompt, just let me know in the ask if they’re for the same fic or separate ones.
I’m not putting a limit on how many slots there are for each prompt. If someone wants a prompt, they can have it! Just let me know which prompt(s) you want! There is no restriction on genre, pairings, point of view, length, etc. for this!
Please make sure you put a “keep reading” bar on your fics, so that the entire fic doesn’t take up people’s dash. I won’t reblog a fic on my blog if it is over 500 words and doesn’t have a “keep reading bar”. If you’re unsure how to add the bar, feel free to reach out to me and ask! :)
The due date for all fics is going to be the first day of summer (Friday, June 21st), which gives y’all over 3 months to brainstorm and write.
When you post the completed fics, be sure to use the hashtag “negan’s warm weather writing challenge” (look at that alliteration!) so that I can easily find any fics that tumblr might not send me a tag notification for.
Be sure to tag both my personal blog and negans-network, so that there’s double the chance the tag will go through! I know tags are hella wonky on here right now (apparently for a lot of people if you tag a blog or add a hyperlink to the post, your fic won’t show up in the hashtag searches). Therefore, I’d recommend just posting the fics with no hyperlinks or tags, and then add your tag list in either a reblog or comment.
Once I get all of the completed fics, I will make a masterlist of them all and post it on my blog, for everyone to see!
If anyone wants to contribute fanart or aesthetics to any of these prompts, feel free!
AND NOW, FOR THE PROMPTS!

♡ ONF #YOU_COMPLETE_ME Fuse Support Step-by-step Tutorial  ♡
Hello Fuses! ONF are finally coming back with their 2nd mini album ‘You Complete Me’ on June 7th, so I have decided to make a very detailed tutorial on how you can help make this comeback as successful as possible to thank our boys for being such loving beings and for working so hard to keep Fuses happy (and to show them how much we have missed them duh). It is the time for fuses to do their part and make ONF complete! (see what I did there)
Also don’t kill me I didn’t have time to make a banner for the tutorial
This tutorial will include:
YouTube MV streaming on PC and phone/tablet
digital streaming
voting on music shows
digital downloads and buying physical copies
promoting
If you have any questions, suggestions or complaints, make sure to hit me up on tumblr chat or send me a direct message on @ppangyuto.
Lets’ get started!
1. YouTube MV streaming
YouTube views are important for many music shows and count as a part of digital points for award shows in the end of the year.
Pick a browser you are going to stream the MV with and read the following instructions. Google Chrome is currently the best option for this (you can download it here btw, it is completely safe) but it would be great if you could use more browsers and stream with all of them at the same time. That’s of course if your device allows it.
Do NOT reupload the MV on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook or any other social network or website. Make sure to put the LINK everywhere, especially if you are sharing gifs or snippets. Every view counts. If you see more than 30 seconds of it shared on Twitter (usually) without the person providing the link as well, do not hesitate to politely ask them to delete the tweet and report it as spam if they refuse to do so. Use as many devices as possible.
Streaming guidelines for PC:
Do not skip the ads! WM and ONF do profit from them.
Log in to your YouTube account to like the video and leave a few positive comments. That will count as one view, so after watching for the first time make sure to log out and then continue streaming following the guidelines. If you have more accounts, hit like button on each one of them.
Do not use the Incognito mode, it freezes the views. If you notice that the views have been frozen for a few hours, report it to YouTube as “PLAYBACK ISSUE” and do not panick. It is said: “To make sure that all views are validated, as view count goes higher, YouTube updates less frequently and might occasionally freeze above 300 views to assure quality view count. This is the normal operation in YouTube videos.”
You can open as many windows per browser as your internet connection allows but the videos should not be lagging too much to ensure view counts.
Do not refresh the page. Instead, search manually for the MV and stream only the official one uploaded on ONF’s channel. When you type in ‘ONF’ on YouTube, at the moment the first suggestions are ‘ON/OFF’ and ‘mixnine’ . What we want to do is get Complete MV there.
Your volume should be at least 50%. If you have more tabs opened at the same time, mute your device and not the MV itself to avoid the chaos.
Watch it from the beginning to the end without pausing or fast forwarding.
Clear your cache every 10 minutes and cookies every 1 hour. To avoid this step, just check out the history/cookie/cache cleaning extensions I have listed below.
ENJOY!
[TIP!] You could reply to a lot of positive comments under the MV so people come back to it again. Worth a try! Do not forget to report malicious comments.
[TIP!] If you have an active YouTube channel, put the MV as your featured content (my channel > video manager > channel > featured content).
**You can create playlists, but do not include only Complete MV. If possible, create a playlist in this order: ON/OFF MV - Lights On (Performance ver.) - ON/OFF (Practice ver.) - Complete MV x3.
If you are going to leave your device on overnight to stream even while sleeping or while you are away (recommended), download the following extensions for your browser:
Auto HD For YouTube
Cache Killer
Super Auto Refresh
YouTube HD Plus
Empty Cache Button
ReloadEvery
YouTube High Definition
History Eraser
Super Auto Refresh
This will help you do the following: always stream MV in quality above 720p, refresh (not hit the replay button, this is because you cannot manually search for the MV while sleeping or when you are not there duh) and erase your history and cache. The last extension should be on even while being on you device. Auto Refresh MUST be set at 10 minutes (about 5 minutes for the MV and 5 minutes break: YouTube might validate the views faster like this).
Streaming guidelines for phone/tablet:
Do not skip the ads! WM and ONF do profit from them.
Log in to your YouTube account to like the video and leave a few positive comments VIA BROWSER. Do not use the YouTube app. That will count as one view, so after watching for the first time make sure to log out and then continue streaming following the guidelines. If you have more accounts, hit like button on each one of them.
The volume should be at least 70% so if necessary, use headphones.
Watch it from the beginning to the end without pausing or fast forwarding.
Do not refresh the page after the full stream. Instead, close your browser and then search manually for the MV and stream only the official one uploaded on ONF’s channel .
Clear search history ever 1-2 hours.
ENJOY!
2. Digital streaming
Since I am not familiar with streaming, I have found a few very useful tutorials:
How to create an account
How to purchase a MelOn pass
How to stream and download
How to create an account and get a free pass (PC)
How to create an account and get a free pass (Phone)
Free link compilations
How to stream using free link
How to create an account and get 10 free passes daily in 13 steps: 1 , 2 , 3 , 4
How to create an account
How to get a free pass (1)
How to get a free pass (2)
[TIP!] Search for streaming pass giveaways on Twitter, there could be some Fuses or other fandoms willing to help us with this comeback. Please do not join such giveaways if the passes are for a specified group that is not ONF, that is just mean.
Streaming reflects on some music show charts.
Show Champion: Naver, Melon, Bugs, Genie
M!Countdown: Mnet, Melon, Genie, Bugs
Inkigayo: Melon, Genie, Bugs

5. Promoting
Other than sharing the MV, you can also help by doing the following:
1. Leave positive comments and tap hearts on comeback V LIVE. There is a safe software called Nox App Player you can use to tap hearts automatically. I used it for the previous comeback! Here is an updated tutorial.
2. Search for 온앤오프 on Korean news sites:
Naver
Melon
Nate
Bugs
Olleh
Soribada
3. Watch ONF videos on Naver.
4. Retweet wm_on7off and wm_onoff. Use #온앤오프, #COMPLETE and #YOU_COMPLETE_ME hashtags whenever you can.
5. Participate in various support events. Here is a 1st Anniversary Project by ONF STATION.
6. Share the MV with your friends and ask them to support the comeback as well.
7. Donate for support projects by fansites if possible and support fellow Fuses’ edits, fanart etc.
Thank you for reading! Let’s make this comeback successful together  ♡

3. El Capitan Download & Install
4. OS X 10.11 Problems
5. Mac OS X 10.11 Tips
6. Software for OS X 10.11
7. Compare OS
In July, Mac has released their newest beta OS, El Capitan. While users still might experience a few bugs until the official version is released this fall, many of us are quite happy with the overall experience and all the new features. To make the experience even better, there are numerous apps available for the OS. Whether you want to increase productivity, organize your day better or find a great media player, I’ve got you covered. Here are my top 10 picks of the greatest and most indispensable software for Mac OS X El Capitan.
Disk Clean Pro (Best Mac Cleaner & Optimizer) An all-in-one solution to keep your Mac machine. For those who really don’t like the design of the native macOS Mail app, Airmail 3 is about. Powerful Mac apps that won't break the bank. There’s something of a misconception when it comes.
Top 13 Must-have Software for Mac OS X 10.11
#1. Recoverit (IS)
Recoverit (IS) recovers almost all kinds of files from multiple devices. You can use this powerful Data Recovery to recover your images, video or audio files, ducuments and archives etc. It is also available on Mac computers, video players, USB, hard drive, digital camera, and memory card. This Data Recovery provides the easiest, fastest and safest solution to recover your data lost by accidental deletion. You are allowed to preview your files before recovery. The recovery process is extremely easy and every one can use it without difficulty.
#2. Wunderlist
Apps For Mac
It can’t hurt to have a great to-do app, but finding one that is actually great for you is harder said than done (trust me, I’ve been there). Wunderlist is probably the best one out there, because of its versatility. Whether you want to write a grocery list, manage work projects, create a schedule or set a reminder for that important business meeting next week, Wunderlist has got you covered. The interface isn’t cluttered and difficult to navigate, so organization will be easier than ever. To me, this is an app I couldn’t function without. Plus, it allows you to share lists with family or colleagues and is available on pretty much every platform. You can set reminders, due dates, add hashtags, notes or print your schedule with just a few clicks. That’s power, right there.
Price: Free ($4.99 for the Pro version)
#3. 1Password
Do you know that feeling when you have so many accounts or email addresses that you eventually forget what the password is for every one of them? I do, which is the reason why I love 1Password so much. It keeps all of your passwords in one place, so you’ll never have to click that embarrassing “I forgot my password” button again. There are a lot of similar apps available, but I opted for this one because of its overall simplicity. In El Capitan, 1Password might experience slight display glitches, but other than that, it works fine.
Price: Free ($69.99 for the Full version)
#4. iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac
iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac is an all-in-one video converter that converts an audio or video media file to virtually any format. In this case, this can be a very helpful tool that allows you to convert your video files from or to any other format. You can not only convert various video formats files, but also be able to make and manage distinctive videos. This powerful Converter allows users to crop, trim or rotate video before conversion. The converting process is so simple that even beginners can use it in no time.
Price: $59.95
#5. Mailbox
Going through your emails is often like running through a maze – you get lost in junk mail, subscriptions, newsletters and personal emails, so sometimes, you overlook a few important messages. Mailbox is only one of email management apps, but, unlike most of the others, it’s already available for El Capitan. With mailbox, you get an iPhone-like experience; you can swipe right and left to delete or mark your emails, it has a bunch of useful features and a fast and visible interface.
Price: Free
#6. MalwareBytes
Every computer needs a good anti-virus protection. MalwareBytes has over 200 million downloads, so it must be doing something right. It’s simple to use, while still effectively protecting your Mac from those dangerous Trojans, worms, spyware, rogues and whatnot. Protecting your computer is definitely something every user should invest in, so if you haven’t downloaded it by now, get right onto it.
Price: Free ($25.54 for the Premium version)
#7. Caffeine
This tiny little app prevents your Mac from automatically going to sleep and starting screen savers. Although it doesn’t do anything groundbreaking, it’s pretty useful for users and that’s why I love it. After installation, you’ll see a little coffee cup at the top of you menu bar – when you click it, Caffeine will be active, but you can turn it off just as easily. Plus, it’s free, so if you decide you don’t want it anymore, you won’t shed any tears over the price.
Price: Free
#8. CoconutBattery
CoconutBattery allows you to see everything you need to know about your battery’s life: how often it was charged, how much time you have before you need to charge it again, current capacity in comparison to when it was new, its age and so much more. It doesn’t take up much space on your Mac, but is really useful.
Price: Free (they accept donations, though)
#9. Colloquy
Have you been searching for that perfect messenger to communicate with people? If so, this is the best choice you can make. Usually, Mac’s chat apps aren’t very easy on the eyes, but Colloquy is the exception. It’s really simple, clean and easy to use and has a feel of a high-quality Mac app. Plus, it’s available on mobile, as well. It has a sleek interface and you can customize the look of it however you like. It also includes a dictionary and emoji’s, so communication will be really easy.
Price: Free
#10. Fantastical 2
This is probably one of the best, clearest and most user-friendly calendar programs out there. It allows you to import your schedule, organize your tasks in different categories (family, work, personal etc.) and all of it will be reachable and easy to navigate. You can also set reminders and have 2 different themes to choose from – Dark and Light. Fantastical 2 is the Holy Grail of calendars, trust me on this.

Rocketbook is a modular notepad that is reusable. Each page features a QR code that instructs the companion app to scan the page. Rather than throw away the notepaper, you can wipe it clean and start again. The concept is clearly summarized with the phrase: write, scan, reuse.
Well, that's the idea. But how does taking notes with the Rocketbook work out in practice?
The 3 Stages of Notetaking With Rocketbook Orbit
I'm a big notetaker. Maintaining a paper-and-pen Moleskin journal, I express ideas, thoughts, and recollections daily. Incredibly, despite my techy credentials, I also rely on paper to-do lists to ensure my daily aims are met.
Sure, there is some digital notetaking. Currently, Google Keep is my note app of choice, but I also rely occasionally on a Samsung tablet with stylus. These notes can be synced to the cloud, but generally I end up with notes in four or more locations. Not ideal.
Tumblr media
When you take notes, it usually goes something like this.
With pen and paper, you jot it down, keep it safe for a few hours, lose it.
On a phone or PC, you use a notetaking app, then forget about it. When it resurfaces it's either meaningless, or something has been lost between brain and keyboard.
Notes tend to "stick" in our minds better when written compared with typing. Consequently, taking notes with a pen or pencil is a better option. You just need to remember where your notes are.
Tumblr media
Rocketbook Orbit overcomes this issue by emailing or storing your notes in the cloud. It's a three-stage process that lets you specify a file name for each note, easily scan it with a mobile app, and then reuse the paper. Meanwhile, the note is ready to read in your favorite cloud provider or mailbox.
What You Get With a Rocketbook Orbit
Unpacking the compact Rocketbook Orbit packaging, you'll find a collection of, on the face of things, low-tech tools.
There's a magnetic clipboard with a slot for a pen and a mounting area for the various Rocketbook Orbit reusable paper notepad. Your preferred notepad type is also included (everything from lined to journal to music staff is available) as a Page Pack.
A Pilot FriXion Ball erasable pen is also included, which fits easily into the provided slot on the clipboard. Finally, there's a soft cloth for wiping the reusable paper. A handy user guide is also included.
There is, of course, something else that you get with the Rocketbook Orbit: the mobile app. This is, to all intents and purposes, the key to everything. Wipe-clean paper technology is one thing, but it's useless without some method of easily archiving your notes.
That's where the Rocketbook app comes in.
Taking Notes With Rocketbook Orbit
The review kit was acquired after backing the Rocketbook Orbit crowdfunding campaign. Rocketbook is an established company with various successful product releases and crowdfunders for unique, hybrid notebook solutions.
Across Kickstarter and Indiegogo, the Rocketbook Orbit raised over $1.2 million when crowdfunding ended in mid-2020. At the time of writing, only crowdfunded units have been fulfilled and the Rocketbook Orbit is yet to be added to the list of products at getrocketbook.com.
Here's a look at the campaign video:
youtube
Consequently, I'm reviewing the 9x13-inch Letter-sized version with the standard 8.5x11-inch Page Pack. This has lined paper on one side, dot grid squares on the other. Other Page Packs are planned, as noted above, although at the time of writing these are not yet available. Bound with two metal rings, the Page Packs easily snap to the Rocketbook Orbit clipboard and are easy to detach and flip over to swap between the two types of paper.
Rocketbook Orbit is also available in "Executive" size, with a 6.75x10.71-inch clipboard suitable for 6x8.8-inch Page Packs.
Using Rocketbook Orbit for notetaking and subsequent syncing or sharing of notes is straightforward and usually swift.
Take and Sync a Note With Rocketbook Orbit
Start by installing the mobile app and creating a Rocketbook account. Here, assign the app the permissions it needs when prompted. Seven default sharing locations can be set up, based on the symbols at the bottom of each sheet.
Tumblr media
Next, choose your paper. Using only the Pilot FriXion pen, make your notes, doodle, whatever. Ink bonds in 15 seconds, after which point you won't be able to smudge it. Putting a line through the preferred destination will automatically upload or send to the preset destination when scanned.
In the mobile app, press the camera icon and wait for the QR code on the page to be detected. The Rocketbook app should then snap the page. At this point it is instantly converted into a PDF ready to be shared as needed. Decent lighting is needed here---I found the QR code is oddly elusive.

With the scan in the app, it's ready to be shared to any of the preferred destinations if none were marked. Beyond the seven preset destinations, any other apps with sharing integration can also be selected.
Tumblr media
Once the page is scanned it can be wiped clean. This works well; the packaged cloth needs to be slightly damp, with the page cleaned in seconds. The FriXion pen can be used on standard paper if necessary and has a built-in eraser.
It's Basically an App With a QR Code on Wipe-Clean Paper
By now you've probably noticed the obvious: the Rocketbook Orbit relies heavily on the app.
The balance is probably weighted heavily towards the app. Can it handle the responsibility of making wipe-clean paper seem practical, rather than slightly sordid?
Fortunately, yes it can. The Rocketbook app features everything you'll need to use the Rocketbook Orbit system. Email and cloud sharing destinations can be configured in the Destinations, while the Settings cover everything you'll need. Scan Settings let you set resolution, default destinations, and more, while the File Naming Template lets you specify a file name format. Email Subject Template can be used in the same way if you're sending scans as emails.

For the QR code detection encountered in the test scans, the Object Detection Settings can be used to fix this.
Meanwhile, the ap includes a Help Center, as well as an App Onboarding Guide which offers a gamified "tutorial."
Various OCR settings can be set in the app. Handwriting recognition offers three options for improved usability of the digitized note. Smart Titles, for example, lets you specify a title while writing your note by including a title between a pair of hashtags (##Like This##). Meanwhile, Smart Search makes handwritten text searchable once scanned. That's useful for anyone making regular notes.
The Green Aspect of Rocketbook Orbit
If you find yourself racing through paper notebooks, the Rocketbook Orbit represents an opportunity to cut down your paper use. Less concern for storing notes, easier to browse their contents, no need to buy new notebooks, and less overall paper-based wastage.
Tumblr media
That's the promise, at least. While wiping clean ludic thoughts, accidents, and moments of inspirational insight alike is hugely valuable, the Page Packs are prone to pressure marks. So, while the ink can be wiped, often the strokes can still be seen after wiping clean.
This isn't specifically an issue, but it does raise questions over the longevity of the Paper Packs.
Reusable, Scannable, Green: But Is Rocketbook Just a Gimmick?
Readers of a certain vintage might well be stifling laughter whenever the term "wipe-clean paper" is used in this review. Those with a knack for spotting vaporware might be equally bemused.
Ultimately, it boils down to this: is Rocketbook Orbit hamstrung by its own gimmicky irrelevance? Do we really need searchable OCR conversions of written notes?
Well, in most cases, the answer is undoubtedly "no." But there are several key situations in which it is useful. Rocketbook Orbit is a handy approach to a system that elsewhere uses four "beacons" to allow the easy scanning of classroom whiteboards.
Furthermore, having a system that you can jot ideas on that can be easily scanned and retained for further development later is useful. Rocketbook Orbit probably isn't going to change the world, but it remains handy for specific purposes.
Need to Scrawl and Scan in a Pinch? Rocketbook Orbit Is the Answer
Essentially, Rocketbook Orbit is a wipe-clean notepad and mobile app. Wipe-clean paper technology has various... applications, but it's likely the internet age has killed the most profitable verticals.
Tumblr media
But with a Rocketbook Orbit in your pocket, a Pilot FriXion pen, and your Android or iPhone device, you have all you need to take and save notes without ever losing them again. OCR technology enhances search, lets you set a file name, and is arguably the secret sauce that holds this whole thing together.
Suitable for doodles, lists, reminders, homework notes, and even screenplays, the Rocketbook Orbit might seem unwieldy---a compact pocketable version is also available---but the results are as good as promised.

Building a Landing Page
a freeCodeCamp Challenge
Warming the Engine
As I round the last corner of my third FCC challenge, a few initial assessments should be punctuated. This, overall, has been the most education of the three. Throughout this endeavor, I have made use of some skills (learned previously) and been able to execute them with more ease. Also, I have found myself adhering to new concepts a bit more effectively.
Over the following summary, I will lightly detail a list of features I utilized in the creation of my landing page (for a silly, hypothetical business called ‘Choose Your CHOOCHOO ’.) Here goes…
Figma and Components
I press on with Figma this time and make a point to learn the functionality of components. These are simply set by defining an element as such. After doing so, forging spawns (called instances) is straight-forward and allows for distinctions between the parent (component) and the spawns (instances) themselves.
Taking advantage of this tool makes it much quicker when building cards, buttons and so on. As my prototypes get larger, I will really be able to experience the full capabilities of this option.
Using Cloudinary to Host Images
With my first two FCC challenges, I assumed it was okay to leave my images unaccessible. It never crossed my mind — that they could be made available online via an image hosting site (either cloud or server-based.)
By using cloudinary.com, this could not be a more rudimentary task. After uploading my image from its local location, all that was left to do is rename and readjust quality for sake of image size and (website) loading performance. Both of these tasks are actionable via Cloudinary’s free service. Now, each of my projects include the appropriate images, from favicon, logos and multiple other graphic insertions.
Figma and Element Alignment
Inspect is a crucial device in Figma’s toolbelt. By using ‘inspect’, the red lines for spacing will appear and applying correct distances for each item across my canvas was very streamlined. In addition to the red line features, Inspect will show the font characteristics, colors and even code for finished products. More on this later…
Figma and Multiple Viewports
My first thought when designing mobile, tablet and desktop viewports with Figma was that I would have to manually draw up each screen. This was the wrong idea.
The right idea was in opening a new (blank) resolution and selecting the entire element (or highest parent element of my project,) then duplicating it and maneuvering it onto the next resolution screen.
After the new resolution was gifted a clone of the previous version, the last step was in slightly resizing everything to match. This was a much less pain-free process than my initial plan.
Anchor Jumping Within the Page
Here’s another one which I wasn’t entirely sure of how to pull off — though I had a general idea.
I knew if I wanted to use an (on-page) anchor to navigate somewhere else on that same (existing) page, I would have to reference the element somehow. The answer lied in setting my ‘href’ equal to the desired ‘id’ and that’s it. Now every click on those links directs the user to my intended location on the page — all (ids, of course) preceded by a lone hashtag.
Embedding a Youtube Video with HTML5
My primary attempt in placing a Youtube video in my landing page was to pop the address into a ‘video’ tag. I assumed all would work seamlessly. I was also very wrong.
In order to insert a Youtube video with HTML, a ‘video’ tag just won’t cut it — an ‘iframe’ tag is actually necessary.
That said, there is yet anther step before gaining complete functionality. Once the ‘iframe’ tag is set (and before pasting the Youtube address,) the watch portion of the address must be swapped for embed instead.
By using an ‘iframe’ and recalibrating the address to embed the video, everything should go swimmingly.
PX, EM, REM, CH, EX, %, VW and VH
I could spend some time here and fully articulate each property of these sizes, but I will leave that for another time. What’s most important about this notion (in this setting,) is that I have found it useful to understand how my relative units measure in terms of pixels. So, I have been using a calculator to better estimate how each unit will behave before assigning them to their respective text. This method has saved me a bunch of time in guessing what will fit where and why.
Instantiating H (tags), Articles and Sections
Much like my previous comment on delving deep — I could spend plenty of time going on about the semantics of these tags. In the future, I may do so. But here, I mean to make a more concise observation.
As I built this page, the importance of ‘sections’ (for grouping large portions of content) and ‘articles’ (for grouping the more succinct) makes plenty more sense.
In contrast, ‘h’ tags  provide a type of semantic skeleton running down the page, for heading each bit of information.
Uppercase Fonts and Text Transform
I used ‘Playfair Display SC’ as one of my fonts on this project. This is a fully uppercase font. For purposes of browsers or instances where this font is not available, I wanted to ensure my casing was kept.
My solution was in using ‘text-transform’ to make all respective text uppercase (regardless) then setting the back-up font to ‘sans-serif’.
This was a fix to my issue; though, there may (of course) be a better answer to the problem.
Sticky!
A(n (numbered)) objective for this FCC challenge was to keep the navigation bar/header at the top of the page.
The first thing I reached for was a ‘fixed’ ‘position’ on my ‘header’ element. Though, after learning about ’position: sticky;’ I understand it to be a much better way of dealing with this demand.
By using ‘sticky’, no margins or extra code is vital to keep the header in place and from causing problems. This was one of the most clear cut, clean finds of the entire project.
Background vs Background-Color
I  was not aware of the ‘background’ property until now. I was steadily using ‘background-color’, then stumbled into the ‘background’ property while researching another objective.
The ‘background-color’ property does just as promised — it sets the background to a specific color via CSS.
However, the ‘background’ property allows for several more values: color, image, repeat, attachment and position.
Box Sizing
I was faced with using many box element of different make-up and sizes. Upon putting together a few, I saw that some of them bled into places across the page for which I did not intend.
Then came ‘box-sizing’. Using this property merges the ‘padding’ and ‘border’ with the overall ‘width’ and ‘height’ of the element in question. After inserting these useful bits, everything squared up very nicely.
Hamburger
In my mobile resolution, I wrote code for a hamburger menu. That said, I won’t be going into detail here. I will (instead) write a full account on my approach to building this feature.
User Select
I learned with this challenge how to keep my elements from being (undesirably) selected. By placing the ‘user-select’ property, this is very achievable.
What’s more is -webkit is for Chrome and Safari functionality, -ms (for Microsoft) and -moz (for Mozilla Firefox).
In Conclusion
I have taken a little more time in constructing this project, but have learned that much more. This is the most well-crafted challenge I have completed (thus far.)
All things considered, I am pleased with the outcome, but am very ready to move onto the next for more information and creation. See you on the other side!

The FYP is TikTok’s version of a homefeed and is the first feed someone sees when they open up their TikTok app. The For You Page’s algorithm functions in a similar way to Instagram’s Explore page – users can view an endless stream of trending TikTok videos curated just for them, based on their interests and past videos they’ve engaged with.
The Benefits of TikTok For Businesses
The platform isn’t just for entertaining dance videos – businesses can achieve big business goals if they approach the platform correctly. Here are a few benefits of TikTok for your business:
     Increase brand awareness
   Showcase your brand’s authenticity
   Build trust among the public
   Generate buzz and even PR
   Drive sales & generate leads
   Encourage new website traffic
   Connect with new audiences
   Build loyalty among younger customers
Give your customers a more raw, real view into your company
Create quality video content to post on all social platforms
   It’s a ton of fun!
Why Businesses Should Care About Getting Featured on the FYP
Why should your business care about trying to get onto TikTok’s For You Page? It’s simple – getting your video onto the For You Page is the best way to increase views and build a follower base TikTok, which will in turn help you achieve your business goals, like attracting new customers and increasing sales in a cost-effective way.
How Does TikTok’s FYP Work?
The best part of TikTok’s For You Page is how unique it is for each user because TikTok’s algorithm will tailor content specifically to each user’s preferences. The worst part? No one really knows exactly how TikTok’s FYP algorithm works!
So how do you get your business on TikTok’s For You Page if we don’t know exactly how the algorithm works? We’ve watched thousands of videos and have put together a list of 8 key secrets to hack the algorithm and get your business’ TikTok videos trending on the FYP.
8 Tips to Get Your Small Business on the TikTok For You Page
So what can your small business do to make the TikTok algorithm work for you and get one of your videos on the For You Page? Below are 8 actionable tips and theories to help you hack the TikTok algorithm and get your business on the FYP:
 1. Post Videos Often – The math is simple on this one – the more TikTok videos you create and post, the more chances you will get to end up on the FYP page. One thing you need to know about TikTok is that things are unpredictable – no one really ever knows which videos will get the most views and ‘go viral,’ so it’s best to post often to increase the odds of getting your TikTok videos onto the For You Page.
 2. Create Suspenseful Videos – We’ve noticed a major trend with many of the videos on TikTok’s For You Page…they often have a suspenseful, cliffhanger ending! Try to create TikTok videos that are suspenseful and force the viewer to watch the whole video to see the end result. Why? It’s been theorized that a video is more likely to go viral and get onto many users’ For You Pages if someone watches the entire video from start to finish.

 3. Engage after posting – This is a good tip for every social media platform – it’s always important to engage with your followers, especially right after you’ve posted. A good rule of thumb is to spend 20-30 minutes after you’ve posted your TikTok video to engage with your followers, new accounts and especially anyone who has commented on your video.
 4. Participate in Challenges – A TikTok challenge includes a few key elements: a trending song, your unique spin on the challenge and a hashtag. Watch some of the videos in your FYP to see what challenges and songs are trending then see if your business can recreate a challenge with a unique spin on it. Always be sure to make it your own and follow the community guidelines.
 5. Reward Loyal Customers – Are there any customers of yours who are already on TikTok and have already posted about your business? Be sure to engage with them and thank them for their support! A great example of this recently was the viral ‘Ocean Spray Guy’ TikTok video. An Ocean Spray customer’s video went viral (it’s currently at 53.4 million views!) so the company celebrated by gifting him a new truck, full of Cran-Raspberry juice of course.

 6. Use Trending Music – Music is key to the TikTok experience and using trending songs will help your business get on the FYP faster. TikTok will show you which songs are trending and if you find a video with a song that you want to use eventually, click on the music title at the bottom of the TikTok to ‘Add to Favorites’ to easily use later on.
 7. Include a Few Hashtags  – While no one really seems to know exactly how the TikTok algorithm works, we know users can discover videos through hashtags, so it’s a strategy we can’t skip. You might have noticed that people often use a ton of hashtags on Instagram and your first instinct might be to include as many hashtags as possible on TikTok as well.
However, it seems like shorter is better when it comes to TikTok’s FYP. We don’t recommend going above 3 hashtags to help keep your caption simple & clean. And make sure any hashtags you include are relevant and trending – TikTok will show you how many views each hashtag has and indicates FYP trending hashtags with a little fire icon.

 8. Ask For Engagement – Think it sounds desperate to ask people to like your videos? Not when it comes to TikTok! TikTok users have found creative ways to increase views and get onto the For You Page. For example, many trending videos will have captions such as ‘if this gets enough likes, I’ll post a part 2!’ A few other examples include captions like, ‘TikTok do your thing!’ or ‘No one believed in my business idea, prove them wrong by liking this video.’
