———————————————————————
cicadas buzzed endlessly beyond the open window and cotton curtains swished back and forth like a chest heaving with slow breaths along with the late night wind.
goosebumps rose on her bare arms as she sat with her back against her bed frame on the carpeted floor, slowly flicking through a book that dustin had forced into her hands earlier that day. it was actually really good, not that she didn’t trust her brother’s judgement on literature or anything, but some books he has lent her had been not worth the read. she should’ve read this earlier.
“hey,” a sharp whisper broke her focus on the words across the page and her eyes flew to the door. it was still closed. her eyes went back to the page, only to be interrupted by quiet tapping on glass.
she turned her head and grinned widely at the barely visible sight of steve behind the glass. “what’re you doing here?” she hissed, still sporting a smile while she got up to place her book on her nightstand and then stand on her mattress and slide the window open wider. steve didn’t answer as he hoisted himself through the window which was far above the ground. he grunted and then fell through the window to land on his back on her bed, making her step back on the mattress with her hands covering her mouth to suppress a laugh.
he sat up, huffing a little and pushing back his chestnut hair from his forehead as he watched her sit down beside him. “i missed you.” he answered and his hand snaked to hold the back of her neck, pulling her forward into a soft kiss.
she laughed softly into it. “you saw me a few hours ago.” she whispered, trying to hint that they needed to be quiet.
its been months they’ve been together and nobody knew that they were dating… yet. she was worried about how dustin would react, along with everyone else in his party; partially because they didn’t like steve until a few months ago. steve agreed with her, with some shock due to the fact that her brother and his friends only just started to like him, but wished he didn’t have to wait until they were alone to be as close as he wanted with her.
steve shook his head slightly, honeyed eyes holding hers in an intimate stare. “i know, but we weren’t alone.” his fingers gently tangled in the hair on the back of her neck. “sorry dustin booted you to the backseat by the way.”
she chuckled at the remembrance. “it’s okay, he rides shotgun in my moms car too.” her voice was filled with fondness. “what isn’t okay is dustin almost catching us!” she whispered through a toothy grin because she can’t help but feel all giddy at the rush of secrecy with him.
“well, what can i say? you looked really pretty.” steve whispers, leaning close to capture her lips with his again. he felt his heart race under his ribs the longer he kissed her.
she pulled away. “you can say ‘i’m sorry i almost jeopardized our secret relationship. it won’t happen again.’ or something like that.” her smile showed how she was teasing him while she spoke.
steve shook his head, tongue poking the inside of his cheek. “it won’t happen again.” he repeated back with a cheeky smile, playing along with her.
she smiled back and brushed her curls back from her eyes. “good.”
steve lolled his head to the side so he could just keep looking at her. he liked how her hair looked right now; it was all wild because she took it out of its previous style from earlier and didn’t seem to have tamed it. “how are you?” he wondered.
she looked away from his eyes with an accompanied smile. her eyes landed on dustin’s book on the edge of her nightstand. “good. just enjoying the night, y’know?” she shrugged a little with a small grin. “dustin lent me a book earlier.” her eyes found steve’s again.
steve nodded and laid down on his back, stretching his arms above his head so that his hands bumped the wall. she stared at where his shirt had ridden up, the soft skin of his stomach was on display. “what’s it about?” he asked, looking over at where she was still sitting up.
her body slowly settled beside steve’s before she answered. her head was resting on his chest. “it’s about a bunch of fantasy people going on an adventure.”
“is it the hobbit?” steve lifted his head a little to gaze down at her face turned on its side.
she looked up at him when he named the book just based from her description of it. “yeah, have you-“ a knock on her bedroom door had them both jumping in surprise to sit up.
“hey,” it was dustin. “can i come in?” he asked, voice slightly muffled by the door.
steve looked at her and she put her index finger over her lips before pointing to her bed, intending for him to get under it. he did as she silently told him to do before she left walked to the door and opened it. “what’re you doing up this late?” she rubbed her hand to her eye, giving dustin the impression that he woke her up. he didn’t seem guilty as he walked passed her and into her bedroom, going to her closet and opening the doors.
steve swallowed thickly, glad he didn’t hide there. it would’ve been cliche and embarrassing.
“i’m looking for batteries. my walkie died.” dustin explained, walking to look at the things littering the top of his sisters dresser after not finding any batteries. “jesus, why do you have so much jewelry?” he asked, lifting up a glass dish housing her rings.
“i don’t have batteries, dustin.” she sighed and let her eyes slip to steve’s hiding place while dustin’s back was still to her. “why don’t you have spares anyway?”
dustin faced her with a seemingly exhausted sigh. “i did, until i used them all. there’s been a lot going on, in case you forgot about the upside down.” he sassed with a tone.
she rolled her eyes at him and gave her own exhausted sigh. “i didn’t, and like i said before, i don’t have batteries.” her eyes once again flashed down to the gap under her bed when she thought she heard steve shift or move around.
dustin looked with her in confusion. “are you hiding a demo-dog?” he joked lightly. “why do you keep looking down there?” he stepped closer to her bed and she stiffened.
“something probably just fell from how it was weirdly placed. you know… gravity.” nervous laughter ended her sentence. dustin cast her a look saying ‘you’re lying’ all over his face. he got down onto the floor on his hands and knees so that he could look under her bed. “dustin! get out of my room!” she hissed, kneeling on the floor beside him and tried, and failed, to moved him.
he was too far into his investigation to be told what to do. he moved a box or two aside and then paused, redrawing his hand. “steve? what the hell are you doing under my sisters bed?” he asked, almost too loud. steve smiled with his teeth awkwardly and crawled out from under the bed to sit beside his (secret) girlfriend. dustin’s eyes traveled to his sister. “did you know he’s here?”
she nodded. “yeah, he’s been here for a while.” her hand lifted to settle on steve’s shoulder. that was her way of silently telling him that it’s gonna play out fine. “why are you such a snoop?” that question was directed at dustin of course, who scoffed and stood up.
“i’m not. i was checking for monsters so i don’t wake up tomorrow and find you dead.” he widened his eyes and shrugged, as if his reason was obvious from the start. he walked to the door after receiving nothing but an eye roll and her forceful ushering out oh her bedroom. “oh, and don’t like… do stuff.” he made a disgusted face at the thought.
steve laughed with his hands over his face. he was still sitting on the floor. “we aren’t together, henderson.” steve covered.
he nodded with half lidded eyes. “sure. and why would you be hiding under her bed then?”
steve shrugged. “didn’t want the interaction with the other henderson. one’s enough.”
she slapped the side of his head after she’d walked back to stand beside where he sat. her lips were pinned into a smile. “asshole.”
dustin rolled his eyes and walked out of the room. “just be quiet.” and then he shut the door.
steve stood up after the door shut and pulled her into him in a hug, still laughing slightly. “my hearts beating so fast.” he panted. “he knows.”
“oh, he most definitely knows.” she nodded, pulling away. “might as well come out and tell them, but he’ll beat us to it with his radio system.” a shrug came from her shoulders.
steve pursed his lips with a hum and a nod. “how much you wanna bet the group has bet on us?” he wondered.
she blew out a breath in exasperation at the thought. “i can already see them all exchanging money with stupid smiles.” her gentle laughter filled the room.
————————————————————————
dustin didn’t knock before he opened his sisters bedroom door the following morning, and he wasn’t surprised to see that steve was still there.
steve was flush against her as they both slept on well through the morning, his arms were wound tightly around her waist to keep her from moving away.
dustin only shook his head with a sigh and maybe the smallest smile before leaving the two alone. he wasn’t going to tell the party about it, not until his sister was ready to because he respects her. but the party does already think that steve and her are together, so it won’t come as a shock.
he’ll let him sleep a bit longer before he interrupts the peace.

Tumblr media
When you heard the soft groan of your window slowly sliding open, you couldn’t hold back the grin that spread across your face. Turning around, you were met with Eddie maneuvering his lean body through the window; it wasn’t quite as awkward as you’d expected, but he certainly wasn’t as silent as he’d hoped to be as his feet thudded on your carpeted floor.
“Not too bad, Munson. You’re definitely lucky being a heavy sleeper runs in the Henderson DNA, though.” As you face him completely, he holds out a baggie of weed and a small box.
Eyebrows furrowing, you took it to examine it further as he explained. “It’s uh– incense. I noticed you lit some last time, figured it was for the smell.”
“Yeah, makes it a little easier for Mom to pretend she doesn’t know.” Opening the package, you placed one of the sticks in the holder and lit the end. “That’s really sweet, Eddie, thank you.”
“Hope the scent is alright ‘n everything, I didn’t really know what you like.” Shrugging his jacket off, he tossed it over the back of the chair at your desk.
Suppressing a smile, you bent down to the drawer next to him to get out your tray and paper again, “It’s actually one of my favorites.”
“Oh,” He seemed pleasantly surprised, but he kept his head down as he took a seat at your desk. “Good.”
“What’re you doing?”
“I’m gonna roll? Why? What’s it look like I’m doing?”
Flicking the back of his head, you replied, “Suit yourself then, smartass. I was gonna do it this time, but never mind.”
“Jeez, touchy,” He huffed playfully as he swatted your hand away. “I don’t mind rolling, I’d be doing it if I were at home right now anyway. Your only job is to sit there and look pretty for me, alright?”
“A little demeaning, but I think I can handle it,” You sighed dramatically. Much like last time, you stretched yourself out on the bed, lying on your stomach as you watched him roll the joint. His fingers handled the paper so delicately, knowing exactly how to roll and pinch it without threatening to rip it. Every now and then one of his rings would drag or clink against the wood of your desk, and you couldn’t help but squeeze your thighs together as you remembered the way the cool metal had felt against your hot skin.
“So, how’ve you been doing?” He placed the finished joint between his lips and held his lighter to it as he claimed the first long drag of the night. “I haven’t seen you in a minute.”
“I really am sorry about that,” You answered bashfully. “I didn’t mean for that to happen, I swear I don’t usually do stuff like that.”
“What? You mean invite in guys you hardly know to make ‘em dinner and let ‘em finger you?” Wearing a massive smirk, he held the joint out to you. You accepted it but huffed embarrassedly and his smirk only grew. “Nothin’ to be ashamed of, babe. Christ knows I’m reliving every second, I could recite every gory detail back to you.”
“I don’t know why you’re reliving it. You made me come, got blue balls, and went home.”
“So? Making you come is like seventy-five percent of the fun. Jerking off’ll make up for missing the rest,” He shrugged.
“You really don’t hold anything back, huh?” You croaked around a chestful of smoke.
“Maybe I just don’t feel like I have to with you.” You couldn’t tell if that statement went deeper than this conversation. “Should I?”
“You don’t have to hold anything back with me, Eddie,” You answered honestly. “As long as you behave around my brother.”
He pointed a finger toward you in warning as his lips curled mischievously, “I’ll remember you said that.”
Rolling your eyes, you take a couple extra hits from the joint before passing it back. He watched as you laid back on the bed, closing your eyes and slowly exhaling, the smoke billowing upwards. Eyes wandering down your body, he took in the way your shirt had rolled up to show the flesh of your tummy, how the band of your thong peeked out of your pajama pants– a different pair than last time– and accentuated the dip of your waist. He wondered how many people had gotten to see you like this; he wondered if they really appreciated it.
“You’re about to get ash on my carpet and I’m gonna have to kick your ass,” You spoke abruptly, breaking him from his reverie.
“I’m shaking, babe,” He monotoned as he ashed it in the tray.
“You should be.”
“What’s with you, hm?” He stood and placed the joint between his lips, lifting his arms to stretch his back and shoulders. His voice was teasing as he stepped toward your bed, toward you.“Bein’ so mean to me today. You know, you were a lot nicer the last time we smoked together.”
Scooting over to make room for him on the bed, your eyes caught on the faint trail of hair leading into his jeans before lifting to meet his. Reaching out to take the joint back, you said, “‘M not being mean. Just keeping you in line, Munson.”
Crawling into the bed beside you, he settled on his side, head resting in his hand. “Probably a good idea.” Hoping his fingers weren’t twitching with nerves, he slowly grazed them over the soft skin of your stomach. “You know I’m always gettin’ into trouble.”
“I guess I’ll just have to keep an eye on you,” You posited, taking yet another long drag.
“A close one,” He hummed in agreement. His touch moved up your stomach, raising goosebumps in its wake as your head slumped against his shoulder. “This okay?”
Though you were leaning into his touch, you asked, “Do you think this is a bad idea?”
Eddie’s hand froze and he leaned back slightly to try to look at you. “What? What do you mean? Do you think it is?”
You didn’t meet his eyes. “I don’t know. You’re just so important to Dustin and I don’t want to change the way he sees you. I would never want something between us to affect your relationship with him.”
“In the nicest way possible, babe–” He brushed your hair back from your face, finally locking eyes with you. “You worry too much. We’re both adults, alright? Even if something were to happen, I wouldn’t let Dustin get caught in that. We’d work around it, y’know? I think we could be mature about it. If things went bad, that is– and I mean, I don’t really think they would–”
You stretched your neck to press a kiss to the corner of his mouth. Careful of the now-unlit joint still in your hand, you squeezed his side. “You’re probably right, Eds.” Your lips trailed to his jaw, lined with a light smile. “I won’t worry about it anymore tonight, I didn’t mean to get you worked up.”
His cheeks flushed and he mumbled only half-jokingly, “‘M not worked up. Just don’t want you runnin’ out on me just yet, you’re actually kinda cool.”
Your eyes softened and your hand slid from his side to his chest, “I won’t go anywhere, Eddie. You don’t have to worry about that. Now,” Pressing against his chest, you urged him onto his back so you could straddle his thighs. He bit down on his lower lip, looking up at you with eager eyes. Slipping your hand into his jeans pocket for his lighter, you continued, “Enough with the heavy. We still have half a joint to finish and I seem to remember getting interrupted in the middle of something important the last time you were here.”
“You know, you really don’t have to feel obligated,” He reminded you. Still, his hands immediately wandered from your thighs, up your sides, and back.
“Who said I felt obligated, hm?” The pads of your fingers brushed his lips as you placed the lit joint between them. “Maybe I’ve just really been looking forward to making you come.”
A cloud of smoke rolled from his mouth as he groaned, clutching your hips to draw you further toward him. “Fuck, keep talking like that and it’s gonna happen way too soon, sweet thing. Been thinkin’ about it, huh?”
“Haven’t stopped thinking about it since you left,” You answered. “About what you’d do when you got home.”
“Yeah?” His hand crept beneath your shirt, running up your spine before guiding you closer. “That’s cute, baby. Thought about me stroking my cock and thinkin’ how much better that pretty pussy would feel instead? You didn’t touch yourself after I left, did you?”
Hips already grinding down against his, you lightly pinched his side. “None of your business.”
“Wait, seriously? I was just fucking around, did you actually make yourself come thinking about me beating off?”
Your head fell back and you let out a laugh that was way too loud for the time of the night. “Eddie, what the fuck?”
He said your name, tone far more serious than his statement required. “You have no idea how fucking hot that is. You’re actually about to make me bust in my pants.”
“Well don’t, alright? We were just getting to the good part when somebody got sidetracked,” You teased. Leaning down, you let your lips graze his and smiled. “Let me make you feel as good as you made me feel, yeah?” After pressing a quick peck to his lips, you sat up. “Take off your shirt.”
“Bossy,” He muttered with false exasperation. As he yanked his shirt over his head and whipped it across the room, he felt your hands drift to the button of his jeans. He tilted his chin to kiss you deeper than before.
“Of course, you have more tattoos,” You huffed.
He might have asked if that was a problem if he hadn’t picked up on the subtle whine behind your voice. “Mmm, should’a known you’d dig the tatties. I’ll give you a tour later, huh, sweetheart? Wouldn’t wanna get sidetracked again, would we?”
“You’re a jackass, y’know that?”
“I think I’ve been told once or twice, yeah.” Hand framing your jaw, his rings pressed into one side of your neck as his left slow, open-mouthed kisses along the other. “Pretty baby,” He hummed lowly against your ear. “Bein’ so good to me.”
“You still haven’t let me show you how good I can be,” You replied breathily.
“I just keep on distractin’ you, huh?” He pressed a couple playful kisses to your lips before asking, “Want me to let you get back to work?” Before he’d even finished his sentence, you were unzipping his jeans and scooting backward to tug them past his hips.
“Fuck, I knew you’d be big,” You whined as you eyed the outline of his length within the confines of his boxers.
“I’ll try not to let that go to my head,” He jested with a smirk.
“I’m sure it will anyway. That’s okay though, your confidence isn’t misplaced, Eds.” When you finally pulled his boxers down, you practically had to bite down on your lip to stifle a moan at the sight. His cock twitched against his lower abdomen, precome almost dripping into the hair there. “Eddie, shit. Gonna taste so good.”
The way his length jumped at the sound of your voice almost had you drooling. He held your hair back from your face, thumb rubbing over your cheek as your hand wrapped around his base. “So fuckin’ dirty, gettin’ all desperate to suck my cock. Go on, baby, I won’t keep you waiting anymore.”
“I think I’m the one who’s s’posed to be saying that,” You hummed. Leaning forward, you let spit drip from your lip to the head, slowly stroking him.
“Don’t sweat it, you’re worth holding out for.” His words already held a faint pant. As your tongue traced his length he tightened his grip on your hair. When your lips finally wrapped around him, his mouth fell open, a shaky breath escaping him as he hits the back of your throat. “Shit, definitely worth it.” Eyes glazed, he watched how your cheeks hollowed around him, how your lashes fluttered as you kept your eyes down. “Look at me, sweet thing. Gimme those eyes.” Nervously doing as he asked, your gaze locked with his and he stifled a groan. “Too fuckin’ pretty.”
His hand still sweetly held your hair back from your face as you let his cock slip from your spit-soaked lips, mouthing sloppy kisses along it until you reached his balls. Your tongue laved across one and his eyes rolled back, head falling against your pillows. “What the fuck,” He groaned incredulously. “You’re fucking unreal. I have to be dreaming right now.”
“Vivid dreamer,” You quipped lowly.
Smirk never leaving his face, he tugged lightly at your hair, drawing a small gasp from you. “Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had this dream, sweetheart. Definitely never felt this good before, though.”
“Glad I’m living up to your expectations, Munson.” Taking him back into your mouth, the musky taste of his precome coated your tongue. The moan he fought to hold back became a whimper as you lapped up every drop. Resisting the urge to gag, you bobbed your head further until your nose brushed the dark curls around his base. Your nails dragged lightly over the ink winding around his hipbone, making them jerk in response.
“You have no idea,” A whine was beginning to leak into his tone. “‘M already close, baby. You’re s’fucking good. Such a good girl for me.” Hand cradling the back of your head, his hips rutted carefully to meet your movements. Nails digging into his hips encouragingly, you tried to keep your eyes on him as the rise and fall of his chest grew more rapid. “Fuck, you’re g’nna make me come.” You moaned eagerly, vibrations making his thighs tense.
Not wanting to pull your hair too hard, Eddie clutched your bedding instead. His other hand formed a fist which he bit down on, huffing out ragged breaths around it in an attempt to keep quiet. You could feel his cock twitch as his come filled your mouth and a tremor ran through his body as he watched you swallow all of it.
He was still panting as you crawled to his level, planting a far-too-sweet kiss on his lips and smiling. Shaking his head, he breathed, “Too fuckin’ good.”
“Happy to return the favor.”
“Fuck favors.” His hand found a home in your hair again as he pulled you in for a heated kiss. His free hand lifted your shirt until you leaned back so he could tug it over your head. “I just want you. Are you alright with that?” You just looked into his eyes for a moment– silently communicating something that you weren’t sure either of you fully understood– before your lips met his again, reaching behind your back to unclasp your bra. Calloused fingertips brushed down the sensitive skin of your neck and over your chest to your nipples. You shivered, goosebumps pebbling your skin as he teased them with the pads of his thumbs. Your mouth fell open against his and his teeth nipped your lower lip. Trailing a few kisses along your jaw, he murmured, “Pretty baby.”
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps in the hallway followed by the bathroom door creaking made you both freeze. You glanced at your bedroom doorknob to ensure it was locked before you and Eddie both eyed the alarm clock on your nightstand. It was almost a quarter past three in the morning and Dustin would be getting up for school in less than four hours.
“That’s my cue, isn’t it?” He pouted.
“I think so,” You sighed. Lifting your hips, you allowed him to fix his boxers and jeans before he handed you your shirt. “We can hang out again soon though, okay?”
“Yeah,” He snorted, crawling out of your bed to search the other side of the room for his own shirt. “‘Hang out’. ‘Cause I do this with all my friends, y’know?”
“I’m sorry, do you want me to say you can sneak in my window for head again?”
Laughing, he pulled his shirt over his head and slipped his shoes back on before walking back over to you. His hands cradled your jaw, tilting your head back so he could look into your eyes from where he stood between your legs. “Maybe I wanna give you head next time, hm? How ‘bout that?”
Body heating embarrassedly, you tried to look anywhere but his eyes. “I’ll consider it.”
“Mmm, good.” He pressed a long, slow kiss to your lips before hesitantly pulling back. “I’ve got a lot to think about until the next time I see you.”
“I’ll call you, okay?”
Grinning, he swiped his thumb over your cheek one last time before he headed for your window. “I’ll be waiting, Henderson.” He ducked back out the window and you peeked your head out after him. Throwing you a quick wink, he started to cut across the yard where he must have parked a few doors down, lighting a cigarette on his way. This was far from the last time Eddie Munson would make an escape from your window.
Letting out another sigh, you kicked off your pajama pants and climbed back into bed. After spending nearly an hour tossing and turning, your hand found its way between your legs, seeking relief so you could finally fall asleep.
Tumblr media
Nearly four weeks later, you were watching TV in the living room when the boys came in after school. Dustin threw himself down on the couch with a loud groan while Lucas and Mike both sat down with much less dramatic frustration. “I just don’t understand why they can’t rehearse somewhere else, Hellfire uses the same room every week and they’ve already kicked us out once!”
“Well, it is the drama room and they are rehearsing for the school musical,” You reminded him, going to the kitchen. He grumbled something unintelligible in response as you poured glasses of water for all three boys. “You guys could always have Hellfire here again. Gives Mom a reason to get out of the house and I don’t mind having you guys as long as you don’t totally trash the basement.”
There was a brief pause before he spoke again, cautiously. “...Will you make snacks ‘n stuff?”
Rolling your eyes, you ruffled his hair which made him swat at your hand as you answered. “I suppose I could do something like that. I’m not making anything extravagant though. Let me know if there are any allergies I should know about.”
“Should someone call and ask Eddie?” Lucas piped up. “You know how he can get. He probably won’t like not having his throne again.”
“Eddie would probably have Hellfire here every week if he could,” Mike scoffed. After a none-too-subtle look from Lucas though, he glanced at Dustin, then you, and seemed to think better of it. “‘Cause of the uh- snacks, y’know.”
“Right, anyways–” Lucas took over, inconspicuously trying to guide the conversation back on track. “Someone should probably call him and let him know so he can tell the rest of the guys.”
Over the course of the past month, Eddie had snuck in a grand total of three times, and between these secret smoke sessions you managed to squeeze in conversation at the weekly Hellfire meetings. You called him every now and then when no one else was home, but that was it. While you suspected he’d told Jeff and Gareth, you definitely didn’t believe he would say anything to Lucas or Mike. Whatever suspicions they had, you just hoped they wouldn’t share them with Dustin.
You raised an eyebrow at the two of them questioningly and, in almost perfect sync, they stood and said, “I’ll do it!” You still had no idea how they got away with lying to their parents so often.
Tumblr media
You suppressed a smile as you heard Iron Maiden’s “Phantom of the Opera” slowly growing louder until Eddie’s van creaked to a halt in your driveway the next week. The music cut out, replaced by voices and doors slamming. He didn’t even knock before he walked in, Jeff and Gareth in tow. Wearing a wide grin, his dimples were on full display as he leaned across the counter separating the front room from the kitchen. “Heard all this was your idea. You obsessed with me or somethin’, Henderson?”
“Excuse me for trying to be a good big sister, I’ll let them kick you to the basement with newspaper and AV club next week.”
He opened his mouth to respond but got distracted when he caught sight of just how much food you made. It looked like you were hosting a potluck; there were three different crockpots plugged in, at least four covered pots on the stovetop, and countless bowls and foil-covered plates scattered across the countertops. “Woah.”
“Did you make all this?” Jeff asked as he stepped into the kitchen.
“Yeah, I hope you didn’t eat anything before you came. I may have gone a little overboard.”
The three of them grabbed paper plates and Gareth chimed, “How long were you cooking?”
“I don’t know uh– since around ten this morning? It’s really not a big deal. Dustin was at school all day and Mom was at work and I had the day off anyway, figured I had nothing better to do.” You shrugged, turning to get a few glasses out of the cabinet for them. “You can drink whatever outta the fridge. The boys are already downstairs digging in, of course.”
“Thank you, you really didn’t have to do so much. We would’ve been thrilled for a couple bags of chips and a two-liter.”
“Yeah, seriously. Thank you,” Jeff added, he and Gareth piling their plates high.
“It’s my pleasure, guys. Really.”
Eddie’s plate was still empty in his hand, waiting up for them to head to the basement so he could get a moment alone with you. The other two noticed, exchanging a knowing glance before making their way toward the basement door. “We’ll go ahead and start setting up.”
“Thanks, I’ll be down in a sec,” Eddie nodded. When the door closed behind them, he set his plate back down on the counter. “They’re right, you really didn’t have to do all this, sweetheart.”
“Gave me something to do with my day,” You insisted. “You’d better eat some or you’ll hurt my feelings.”
“Oh, don’t worry, I’m gonna eat. You’ll be lucky if there are leftovers.” He spared a glance at the basement door before his hands found the counter on either side of you, trapping you between his arms. “Maybe tonight I can come back for dessert?”
“I already made cookies and peach cream puffs–”
He interrupted you with a laugh, “C’mon, now you’re practically setting me up for it.” You shoved at his shoulder, fighting back another smile, and he leaned closer anyway. “How about I just come back to thank you for all your hard work then?”
Tilting your chin up, you pressed a soft kiss to his lips and replied, “How about you make your plate and eat your food first and I’ll think about it?”
“I’m already on it. I’ll get seconds, too. I’ll get fuckin’ thirds, babe, you’ll see. The way to my heart is through my stomach.”
“Save the theatrics for the game downstairs, hm? They’re waiting on you.”
“You in a hurry to get rid of me or something?” He asked, maybe two-thirds playfully.
“You’re here for Dustin is all,” You shrugged, toying with a loose thread on his Hellfire tee. “He’s expecting you down there and you know how he is, he won’t have any problem asking me questions about what takes us so long when we see each other.”
His thumb rubbed careful circles against your upper arm. “I really think you’re reading too much into it. You’re his big sister looking out for him and I’m the head of his school club, we’ve got plenty of stuff to talk about. Dustin’s not gonna notice  if we make conversation for a few minutes whenever we see each other.” His tone grew more joking as he added, “Besides, I seem to remember being owed a certain phone call that I’ve yet to receive.”
“It’s been a week. I can’t sneak you in every night, alright?”
“You would if you could though, right?” He smirked.
Shoving him away, you rolled your eyes. “Alright, Eddie the Banished is now officially banished from my kitchen. Get your food and go downstairs.”
His eyes narrow at you as he started making his plate. Between crunches, he spoke around a mouthful of chips. “You’re a bully, you know that?”
Grabbing a roll of paper towels, you tucked it under his arm for him to take down to the rest of the boys. “Just make sure you all clean up after yourselves and maybe I’ll let you come back over after Dustin goes to Mike’s.”
“You drive a hard bargain, babe.” He stole a quick kiss before making his way toward the basement door. “But you’ve got yourself a deal. I’ll try and keep the noise down.”
“No, you won’t.”
“No, I won’t.”
When he left about two and a half hours later, he only drove two blocks away, circling around long enough for the younger boys to have ridden their bikes away from the Henderson house. “I could get used to usin’ the front door,” He chimed as he strolled back in. “Think I pulled a muscle squeezing through your window last time.”
Having changed into an old Judas Priest tee and pajama shorts, you were sealing the last few containers of leftovers and putting them in the fridge. “Uh oh, should I start looking for a new dealer?”
“See, that? Mean. So mean.”
“How about I let you go ahead to my room and light the joint sitting on my nightstand? Would I be less mean then?”
He frowned, taking a step in your direction instead. “Are you sure you don’t want me to stay and help you clean up?”
“I’m already almost done, it’ll just be a minute. Promise.”
“If you say so,” He drawled as he headed down the hall to your room. The door creaked as it closed halfway behind him and he looked around your room yet again. He liked being in here, being surrounded by you. He hoped you wouldn’t find it rude that he opened the drawer he’d seen you keep your incense in, lighting a stick and placing it in the holder. The radio was already turned down low when he turned it on, a cassette of Black Sabbath still inside. Then he cracked open the window, taking off his shoes and jacket afterward.
Holding the joint between his lips, he lit it and tossed the lighter on the bed before continuing to look around. A few necklaces were hooked over the corner of the mirror that hung on your wall. Mascara, rings, and a couple pairs of earrings were left out on your vanity. On your dresser, there was a framed picture of you and Dustin in the Hawkins middle school, your arm around his shoulders as he flaunted a science fair ribbon enthusiastically to the camera. Bottles of lotion and perfume sat beside it and he was obviously lacking a healthy level of self-restraint as he picked one up and popped the cap off to smell it.
He nearly jumped three feet in the air when you spoke up from behind him. “Did you wanna take a pair of panties too or…?”
“Well, if the offer’s on the table–” Still, he had on a sheepish expression as he turned to face you. “I’m sorry, that was probably totally weird of me–”
“Maybe it’s weird of me that I don’t mind,” You shrugged as you took the joint from him and sat cross-legged on your bed. “Thanks for getting everything ready in here. Obviously, I don’t need to tell you to make yourself at home.”
He sat down backward on the chair at your vanity, facing you though his head was tilted toward the floor. “I swear I wasn’t like– actually snooping through anything. I just looked around the room.”
“Eddie, you don’t have to defend yourself. You were smelling perfume that was sitting out, it’s not like you were rifling through drawers. I told you you could be in here by yourself, I wouldn’t have left anything out I wanted kept private. Besides, I trust you.” Leaning forward, you passed him the joint. “And you don’t have to sit all the way over there.”
“You really aren’t upset at all?” He looked up at you through his lashes.
“Would you just get in the bed? The house is gonna be empty til at least 11:30 and we’ve still got half a joint. I was thinking of possibly smoking a bowl too.”
Suppressing a smile, he settled into the bed beside you. “So, does that mean I still get the panties?”
You replied by jabbing him in the side with your sock-covered foot, but his fingers wrapped around your ankle, pulling your leg across his lap. He traced patterns along the bare skin of your legs as he watched you smoke, occasionally squeezing at your calf or thigh. Feeling a little jittery as the quiet held out, he murmured, “I like your shirt.”
“Thank you, Eds,” You hummed back.
Your little amused smile made his cheeks flush faintly. “Welcome.”
He was flooded with a wave of déjà vu as you crawled into his lap, cupping his jaw to exhale smoke into his mouth. “This feels awful familiar.”
“Well, we’ve got more time than usual.” One hand wandered the expanse of his chest through his shirt as the other placed the dwindling joint between his lips. “I was thinking maybe we could finally finish what we keep starting.”
“You sure we aren’t gonna get interrupted this time?” He asked jokingly.
“We’ve got plenty of time,” You reassured him with a small smile.
“Good.” He drew you closer, “‘Cause I’m thinkin’ we don’t need to go so fast tonight.” Your eyes fluttered closed at the first touch of his lips to your skin, the kisses he left growing sloppier as they moved farther down your neck. A small chill shook his shoulders as your fingers grazed the nape of his neck, caringly gathering his hair into a fluffy bundle and loosely tying it back. So fuckin’ precious. “Thank you, sweetheart. You always think of everything, don’t you?”
“I try.”
Hand cupping the back of your head, his lips molded to yours in a long, slow kiss. As he did, he urged you onto your back, fingers grazing your lips as he settled the joint between them. “That’s enough of that. You don’t have to think anymore tonight. I just wanna take you apart, okay? Make you feel good.” His fingers slipped beneath both your shorts and underwear, gently tugging them past your hips. “Been thinkin’ about this for weeks.” The way he pushed your legs back toward your chest had you spread wide for him, your arms rising to cover your face bashfully. Warm hands eased back and forth along the backs of your thighs as he pressed kisses to the delicate skin at the creases of them. “Fuck, you even smell good.”
Eddie actually moaned when he finally tasted you. His tongue soothed over your clit before delving inside you, hands grasping at any part of you he could touch. Meanwhile, your hands were weaving into his hair, further dishevelling his already-messy bun. “Eds,” You breathed.
He briefly pulled back just enough to pant, “Can you take your shirt off? Please? Wanna see you.”
The second you lifted it over your head he was groping at the newly exposed skin, back to burying his face between your thighs. Looking up at you with those big, brown eyes, he zeroed in on your clit. You gasped, “Oh my god, right there.” When he eased his middle finger inside you, curling it to prod at a sensitive spot, you were unable to stifle a squeal.
“I’m just hittin’ all the sweet spots, huh? Pussy was made for me, baby.” Your hand found his free one on the bed, fingers lacing with his as the other remained in his hair. “That’s right, I’ve got you.” A second finger joined the first inside you, spreading you open. Devoting his effort to making you come, his mouth only ever broke away from you to coo the most knee-weakeningly dirty words. Things like, “Want you to come all over my fingers ‘n’ then I’ll stretch you out with my cock, okay? Know you’ve been waitin’ for it.”
“‘M almost there, Eddie, please. Need more.” Distress colored your tone, muscles tensing and un-tensing sporadically. His hand released yours, choosing to drag the pad of his thumb over your nipple instead. The careful pinch he gave afterward made your toes curl.
Feeling your walls squeeze around him, he fractionally sped up the movements of his hand, tongue still tormenting your clit. Quiet gasping moans overpowered the sound of the music as you clutched at the t-shirt covering his shoulders. “That’s my girl, let it out. I’m right here.” He waited until you’d relaxed to gently draw his fingers from you– arms covering your eyes and forehead as you caught your breath, you didn’t see him lick them clean. His palms were warm and slightly rough as they moved over your stomach and sides, “Still with me, sweet thing?”
“Yeah, yeah ‘m here,” You sighed airily. “Just waiting for the stars in my vision to go away.”
“Oh, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet, babe.” His lips made a path up back up your stomach, sloppy kisses and gentle bites ravishing your skin. Instead, you urged him to kiss you before finding the hem of his Hellfire t-shirt to yank it off. Your nails scraped gently over the tattoos on his chest and he shivered, clutching your hips to his. The icy cold metal of his handcuff belt buckle met the heat between your legs, making you gasp into his mouth. You reached down, fumbling to undo the handcuff design. “Easy, baby, lemme do it.”
Standing from the bed, he took his time working his belt and jeans open, eyes slowly raking over you. His lips curved into a subtle smile making your stomach flip. The way Eddie looked at you sometimes was almost overwhelming. You could see the tip of his tongue poke out from the corner of his mouth as he pushed his pants and boxers down, immediately climbing back over you. “Condoms in the nightstand,” You mumbled against the demon head inked on his pec.
He reached over to open the drawer, chuckling at the pre-packed bowl in the corner and grabbing a condom. You surprised him by taking it from him, tearing it open, and pulling him down for another long, slow kiss as you rolled it on for him. Humming as you slowly pulled apart again, he said, “You’re kinda fuckin’ adorable, you know that?”
“Don’t be a dick,” You pouted against his lips.
“You always think I’m teasin’ you and I’m not.” His nose brushed your cheek as he murmured, “Just think you’re the sweetest little thing. Let me appreciate you.”
You tucked your head into the crook of his neck a little bashfully. “Wanna feel you, Eds.”
“I’ve got you, honey, don’t worry.” The first few inches already had you clenching around him as he pressed in. His fingers laced into your hair, gently tugging your head back enough for him to watch your face. “There she is. Doin’ okay, pretty girl?”
“Feels so good,” You breathed out. Your voice sounded strained like your throat was tight. “S’big, Eddie.”
“I know, but you’re takin’ me so good. Doin’ such a good job, baby.” He brushed your hair away from your face as he gazed down at you, his thumb stroking over your temple. “Tell me if you wanna stop.”
Your nose brushed his when you shook your head no, nails digging into his shoulder blades. Eddie gripped your thigh, hitching it over his hip. Eyes closing, you didn’t see the way he watched you as he pulled out nearly completely before pushing back in. He admired how your eyebrows furrowed a little, your lips parting with a reserved moan. You still weren’t letting go.
He was gonna change that.
Forgoing the slow pace he’d been giving you to adjust, sudden quick thrusts of his hips had your eyes opening. You blinked up at him with glassy eyes. Thighs squeezing at his sides, you clung to him. Still supporting himself on one arm, the other snuck between your bodies to find your clit. The broken moan you let out made him smile. “S’that what you needed to make some noise for me? Love hearing you, sweetheart.” He hissed as your nails dragged down his back, but that smile never left his face.
Heat licked up your legs starting from the soles of your feet, your stomach tightening as a second orgasm crept up on you. He could tell when you came again, feeling your walls spasm around him while pitchy whines you couldn’t suppress escaped your throat. “Shit,” He panted out. “Fuck, you feel so fucking good. C’n I keep going?”
Nodding, you crossed your ankles behind his back, legs wrapping more comfortably around him and caging him in closer. “Wan’ you to come, Eddie.”
“Jesus, babe, won’t take long if you keep doin’ shit like that.” He kissed you, but your lips fell open against his as his cock ground deeper into you. “God, this pussy’s fucking perfect, baby.” His grunts became pronounced groans as your hands tangled in his hair, hair tie barely hanging on. He gripped your thigh so tight you knew you’d look for fingerprints the next morning. You tugged his lower lip between your teeth and his hips jerked, burying himself as deep inside you as he could when he came.
Neither of you loosened your hold on the other for another minute or two– you just tucked your head into the crook of his neck and let your palms explore the expanse of his back while you both caught your breath. His weight was warm and grounding on top of you, calloused fingertips grazing back and forth along your side.
When you let your head fall back against the pillow you were met with Eddie’s big, warm eyes and soft smile. It was a little flustering, you could only meet his eyes through your lashes. “What?”
But he didn’t answer. He just cradled your face in his hand and delicately molded his lips to yours. It was only after that that he finally pulled out, making your legs twitch around his waist before letting him up. He tied off the condom and threw it away and as he pulled on his boxers, he leaned down to press a kiss to your forehead. “Why don’t you go to the bathroom? I’ll get some water and get the bowl ready.”
“Thank you, Eddie,” You hummed quietly in response.
“Don’t need to thank me, sweet girl.” He handed you your shirt, watching you pull it on and head for the bathroom before he went to the kitchen.
Finding him back in your bed, bowl and lighter in hand, you didn’t hesitate to crawl in with him. Your back against his chest, he offered it to you and lit it as you took a hit. His arm settled around your waist and your fingers loosely wrapped around it. He took a decent hit for himself and finally spoke again as he breathed out the smoke. “Is everything alright? You’ve been kinda quiet– I can go if you want.”
Your hold on his arm tightened slightly. “No, not at all. Sorry, I’m just kinda…” Searching for the words, your thumb tapped impatiently on his skin and you nuzzled yourself further back into him.
“That’s okay,” He reassured. “I think I get it. Take your time, baby, whatever you need.” You hit the bowl again, letting him hold it for you this time and resting your head against his chest afterward. Eddie looked down at you, your eyes closed as you sighed out smoke, and he was taken aback again by how open you were being with him– how much you were trusting him with. Warmth filled his chest at the realization that you were letting him take care of you.
Over the next few minutes, your head seemed to clear a bit. Taking a drink of water, your eyes finally met Eddie’s again, giving each other a small smile.
“So, I’ve got a proposal for you,” He began.
“I’m listening.”
He passed the bowl back to you, gaze following your movements as he spoke. “I wanna spend time with you. Not just sneaking in to fuck around or stealing a few minutes when we see each other at Hellfire, I mean really spend time with you. Let me take you out to dinner or– or come watch a movie at my place or something.” His nerves rose as he kept talking, seeing your eyelids sink lower as you inhaled a lungful of smoke.
He fidgeted with the chain around his wrist until you breathed out a response. “Okay. It’s a date.”
His face split in a grin, “Yeah?”
“Yeah.”

You love your brother, you really do but that little shrimp, how Eddie likes to call him, can truly get on your nerves sometimes. You do anything for him, which is probably why he is so insatiable. You always spoiled him, that was probably your first mistake but you love getting him things that he loves so much, whether it’s new comics, books, movies or anything DnD related. A lot of your savings are spent on him, you know it’s not your job to get him all this stuff all the time but he is your little brother and you love seeing that big smile on his face whenever he gets excited about the things you get him.
You drive him around when Steve is too busy to do it, you cook him lunch and dinner when your mom has no time to do it, you bake things for him and his friends and you let him host movie nights even though you love having the living room to yourself on Friday nights.
You always say yes to him.
But not this time.
“Come on, are you serious?” Dustin exclaims, rolling his eyes at you as he follows you to your locker.
“Very serious, Dustin!”
“You can literally do it any other night, y/n!”
Mike, Will and Lucas are tagging along with him, giving you their best puppy eyes.
You open your locker, staring into blank space as you take a deep breath before you turn back around to look at the teens.
“You know what? I’ve been waiting for this night for weeks! Mom is out of town, you were supposed to be at Mike’s place if I remember correctly and I was supposed to have the house to myself!”
Mike furrows his brows, “why can’t you have your girls night at our place? You can have the basement,” he shrugs.
“Yeah, the basement is nice!” Will smiles, though he doesn’t look like he wants to be a part of this argument.
“Yeah, I’m sure Nancy and Robin would be fine with that,” Lucas says, giving you an unsure grin.
“Exactly!” Dustin rolls his eyes.
You tilt your head, “why don’t you host your DnD thing in your basement? That’s where you always used to play!”
Dustin puts his hand on his forehead, “or you can just hang out in your room and we’ll have the living room to ourselves, that way we can all have what we want!”
You laugh, shaking your head in disbelief, “I want the living room, in fact, I want the whole house to myself, for once!”
Dustin scrunches his face up in confusion, “oh come on, y/n, please!”
Mike and Lucas nod along, “please, we don’t want any parents around, they aren’t exactly fans of Eddie.”
Your features soften a little, something that definitely doesn’t go unnoticed by your little brother.
You sigh, crossing your arms over your chest, you shake your head. You, Nancy and Robin have planned your only girls night for weeks, there is no way that you will let any boys interrupt it.
“Nope.”
Dustin’s face grows red, he rolls his eyes and throws his hands up, “son of a bitch,” he mumbles to himself, “is it because of your crush on Eddie? Are you scared that you will embarrass yourself when he’s around the way you always do?”
Your jaw drops and your eyes widen as you look at your brother.
Mike’s eyes widen as well, he opens his mouth to say something but quickly closes it again when he sees the metalhead behind you, his expression mirroring yours.
Will looks down, feeling sorry for you.
Lucas cups his mouth, looking like he’s about to burst into laughter.
Dustin’s face grows pale, regret flickering in his eyes when he sees the shocked and embarrassed look on your face and the surprised one on Eddie’s.
“What?!”
That’s the question you ask yourself, internally. That voice did not belong to you though, this is Eddie’s voice.
Your blood runs cold and your stomach churns. Closing your eyes, you take a deep breath. Oh, how you wish the ground would just swallow you whole. Your cheeks heat up and embarrassment rushes through you.
Eddie, whose face is more flustered than ever, steps around you, staring at you with wide eyes, “y/n, is that the truth?”
You can only imagine what he thinks and what he feels, you spare yourself the embarrassment of being rejected. You don’t look at him, you don’t even bother to answer the question, you slam your locker shut, “host your goddamn campaign, Dustin,” you spit before you walk away without sparing any of them a single look.
Eddie’s big eyes follow you, watching you walk away with your head hung low. His heart skips a beat, butterflies swirling in his stomach. You have a crush on him? The girl he has been pining for, feels the same?
“Dustin,” Will mumbles, “how can you embarrass your own sister like that?” He shakes his head.
“Yeah, dude,” Lucas mumbles.
Mike scratches his head and glances at Eddie who looks awestruck.
“Shit,” Dustin mumbles, closing his eyes.
Eddie finally turns to look at him, putting his hand on the teen’s shoulder, he looks down at him, “Henderson, is that the truth?” Eddie asks, “your sister has a crush on me– on me?” He points to himself in confusion.
Mike and Lucas share a look, smirking a little.
Dustin finally opens his eyes, looking nervously up at his dungeon master, he is unsure of what to say, not wanting to embarrass you any further, he shrugs.
Lucas sighs, rolling his eyes at his friend, “yes, Eddie. She has a crush on you.”
Mike nods, “yeah, she was actually talking about you with my sister.”
Eddie looks at them, “really?”
Dustin squints his eyes, taking in the excited look on Eddie’s face, “wait,” he mumbles, “do you like my sister?”
Eddie swallows, cheeks growing red.
“Holy shit!” Dustin exclaims as the three teens start smirking at him but before any of them can say anything else, Eddie turns around and runs off just the way you did, leaving them all giggling.
-
You and Eddie aren’t the closest friends, that is probably because of your huge crush on him. Dustin isn’t wrong, you do tend to embarrass yourself in front of him.
Whenever he is around, you turn into a blushing mess, you barely manage to form a sentence when he talks to you, all he ever gets are short responses, shy smiles and little waves. The poor guy probably thinks you hate him but he really just makes you incredibly nervous.
You always had a crush on him, from the first moment you had laid your eyes on him, you had a special place in your heart for the handsome metalhead, not knowing that he feels just the same.
You never talked much to him, only when you sat next to each other during class or saw him outside of school but you weren’t brave enough to make the move to become his friend or anything more than that.
When your brother befriended him and he started coming around, stealing your job of driving him around, he always left you a blushing mess. Eddie was always a flirt, throwing random pickup lines at you, gifting you a flower that he picked from your mother’s garden or someone else’s property, holding doors open for you or carrying your books to classes but you never thought much of it, you thought that he’s like that with every girl.
He is not.
You fear that, that is over now, that he is weirded out by your crush on him. Thanks to your brother and his big mouth, your day and the rest of your week is ruined.
All day, you have been avoiding Eddie, trying your best to avoid eye contact. The thought of being confronted and rejected makes you feel both mortified and heartbroken.
You successfully manage to get through the day without running into him again. Now, you’re alone in your room, sulking, listening to Tears for Fears and glaring at your diary, the one that Dustin must’ve read, how else would he know of your crush and your hopeless feelings for Eddie?
A knock on your window pulls you out of your thoughts, startling you a little. You throw the ripped out pages on your bed and turn around, eyes widening when you see Eddie who stands in front of your window with a smile on his face, waving at you shyly.
Your heart begins to race, your eyes widen. Nervously, you make your way towards it, he purses his lips, staring at you in excitement. Sliding the window open, you lick your lips and take a deep breath, “h-hi?” You mumble nervously.
He is not here to reject you is he?
Eddie smiles and you just now notice the flowers in his hands.
Surely, a guy who is about to reject you, won’t show up with flowers and a smile on his face, right?
“Hello princess,” he grins, looking giddy as he eyes you.
You blush at the pet name, breaking eye contact, you look down.
“Can I come in?”
You nod and step aside to let him in, you dig your nails into your palms, a nervous habit that you have picked up on, years ago. You look down at yourself, growing incredibly flustered when you realize that you’re only wearing a big shirt and underwear.
He climbs inside and shuts the window before he turns around to face you, he can’t even fight the smile off his face when he sees how nervous you are, “here, these are for you,” he whispers, holding out the flowers for you.
Your eyes light up, looking up at him, you notice the excitement in his dark eyes, his plump lips are set in a bright smile.
You reach for the flowers, your fingertips graze his knuckles as you take the flowers from him, “thank you,” you smile, glancing at the pink and yellow flowers, “those are not from mom’s garden,” you giggle.
Eddie shakes his head, “no, they’re not,” he smiles, “I picked them out just for you, there’s a huge field of flowers close to Lover’s Lake,” he explains. He licks his lips, looking around the room that he has only passed by whenever he came over to pick up Dustin, “maybe I could take you there…. tomorrow? To Lover’s Lake, I mean.”
Your heart flutters in your chest, excitement bubbling in your stomach.
“To do what?” You ask, tilting your head, “isn’t that like a popular makeout spot?”
His eyes widen and he chuckles, “no, according to all the jocks at school, skull rock is a popular makeout spot,” he says, stepping closer to you, he smiles as he watches you smelling the flowers, “but we could always make Lover’s Lake a new makeout spot, just for us, of course.”
Your eyes widen even more, your cheeks grow incredibly hot.
Your reaction makes him smirk, a sense of pride rushing through him for being so ‘smooth’.
You giggle, forgetting all about the embarrassment and the fear you have felt before.
“Just for us?”
He steps even closer to you, bringing his hand up, he brushes your hair back, tucking it behind your ear, “I wouldn’t want to take any other girl there, sweetheart,” he says, eyes softening, “but you gotta stop running away from me, I’ve been trying to catch you all day.”
You draw your brows together and look up at him with big eyes, it makes him weak in the knees.
“Tell me, is that little shrimp telling the truth?” He asks with big and hopeful eyes.
You blink, your breathing quickens and you grow nervous all over again.
“If he is, then I’d be the happiest and luckiest man in the world, princess.”
Your heart leaps to your throat, you can’t believe it.
“Really?” You breathe.
He nods with a large smile on his face.
“If you haven’t noticed, I’m like really obsessed with you,” he admits, cheeks redder than ever.
“Wait what?”
He chuckles, shaking his head as he cups your cheek, “I thought, I made it pretty obvious.”
Not only does Eddie use every opportunity to talk to you, to spend time with you, he also creates DnD characters based on you, he drives around Hawkins, searching for the perfect flowers for you, he picks up Dustin just so he can see you, even if it’s only for one minute, he does anything to see you and to be with you and he explains all that to you, leaving you standing there with a shocked and awestruck look on your face.
“I-I thought you do that for every girl,” you admit.
“Never!” Eddie frowns, “I only want one girl,” he says as he reaches for your hand, bringing it up to his lips, he keeps looking into your eyes as he presses a kiss to your knuckles, “I only want you, sweetheart. So, will you take pity on my cynical heart and do me the honor and go on a date with me?” He asks, dramatically and with a teasing look in his eyes.
Your giggle makes his soul happy.
Eddie is so crazy about you. He loves your beautiful voice, it always makes his heart flutter. He loves your sweet smile. He loves the way you get so flustered whenever he just looks at you. He loves your perfume. He loves the way you make him feel. The way you have always been so good and sweet to him, the way you always make him smile and happy, even on his worst days.
You're his angel.
“I would love to go on a date with you, Eddie Munson,” you smile.
“Really?” He exclaims happily.
“Yes!”
He fist bumps the air before he scoops you up in his arms and twirls you around, giggling at the squeal that leaves your lips as you wrap your arms around his neck, still holding the flowers in your hands.
“This is the best day of my life,” he whispers when he places you back on the ground, giving you a toothy grin, he can’t even help himself, leaning closer, he kisses your cheek, “can’t believe that your little brother made it the best day.”
“You should’ve asked me out before,” you whisper.
“Sweetheart, I didn’t think you were into me, I feel like I’ve been flirting with you for months!”
“I didn’t think you were flirting!”
“Wasn’t I obvious?”
You shrug, “I thought that you were just a flirt!”
He scoffs, putting his hands on the small of your back, he pulls you tightly against him, “only for you.”
You smile at him. Raising your hand, you run your fingers through his hair and push it back, reaching for one of the smaller flowers in your little bouquet, you pick it out and tuck the stem behind his ear.
Eddie chuckles at your action but his heart flutters when you lean in and kiss his cheek.
“You’re pretty, Eddie.”
“Yeah?” He asks, blushing.
You nod.
“I think you’re prettier,” he whispers, smiling at you, “you’re the prettiest.”
“No, that’s you.”
“No, you!”
Neither of you notice the hushed whispers outside of your door, too busy and focused on each other.
“Oh, they’re so gross already,” Dustin mumbles with a disgusted look on his face.
Lucas and Mike giggle.
“I think, they’re super cute,” Will smiles with a happy look on his face.
“I think Eddie will come over for something other than the campaign this weekend,” Lucas says, wiggling his brows.
Dustin groans, shaking his head, “ew!”

“You…liked that… didn’t you?” Eddie mumbled, his voice a deep rumble in his chest as he closed in on your space against the bathroom wall. “Answer me.”
Your arms were crossed defiantly, yet your eyes couldn’t seem to meet his. “You’re a pig, Eddie.”
“And you’re all hot and bothered.” He was smiling now, the corner of his lips turning up in a smirk. “You liked that I got rough with you, admit it.”
Your eyes narrowed on him. “Prick.”
“Brat.”
He was inches from you now, caging you in with eye contact alone.
“Screw you.” you spat.
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” Eddie’s voice was more growl than whisper now; you could feel his breath on your face. It smelled like cinnamon gum and cigarettes.
One exhale from Eddie, one inhale from you. Then your lips were on his.
Eddie’s hands shot straight to your ass. He squeezed, earning a moan from you as your lips left his for a moment, only for him to feel your teeth bite down on his bottom lip.
“Ow!” He groaned- grunted, more like- lifting you up and slamming you back against the wall, hips pinned by his as he attacked your neck.
“Don’t leave marks,” you panted, “band can’t know-ah!”
Eddie ignored you, sucking at a spot just above your collarbone. “Stop telling me what to fucking do.” he murmured, licking the salty sweetness of your skin.
“Jesus, you’re stubborn.” you rolled your eyes back, half from pleasure and half from exasperation.
“Yeah,” Eddie’s thumb wandered to the front of your panties, stroking over the fabric until he found the spot that launched your head back, wrenched your eyes closed and pulled a moan from your mouth that made his dick stand at attention. “I’m not the only one.”
“I…fuck-”
“Jesus, are you at a loss for words, sweetheart?” Eddie teased, pressing circles into your clit over your panties. “So much more agreeable when my hand’s between your legs.”
Your hand tangled in his curls and gave them a sharp yank, ripping a surprised moan from Eddie’s mouth. You smirked, excited to have found some kind of leverage against him, and gathered more of his hair into your hand before pulling even harder.
“Fuck,” Eddie’s hand was a blur, shoving your panties aside one second and sliding a finger into your entrance the next. “God, you’re so wet. If I’d known telling you what to do would have this effect on you sooner, I wouldn’t have spent so long biting my tongue instead of telling you to shut up.”
This side of Eddie made you see red, made you so damn angry… he was mean and crass and god did it turn you on. You writhed on his finger, riding his hand while you gripped his mane for stability.
“Is this why you’re always such an ass?” You asked him, voice breathy as he slipped another finger in. “Have you just been sexually frustrated this whole time, Munson?”
The curl of his fingers inside you was exquisite, making your back arch against the painted drywall.
“You gonna let me fuck you and find out, Henderson?”
You nodded fervently, clutching Eddie close as his lips slid sloppily over the skin of your decolletage. He huffed a chuckle into your sweat as your walls squeezed his fingers tighter. God, you were gonna feel so good around his cock.
“As much as I love the fact that you aren’t arguing for once, I need to hear you say it.”
“Yes.” You breathed, “Yes, I want you to fuck me.”
He chuckled at your eagerness, unbuttoning his pants and whipping his dick out in record time. “Are you on the pill?” he asked, to which you replied with a breathy “Yes.”
“Then I hope you’re close because we go on in ten minutes and I am not leaving this bathroom until I feel that pussy cum.”
That was the only warning you got before Eddie Munson’s cock slammed into you so hard, you saw stars.
He didn’t give you a moment to adjust, no gradual build-up to a faster speed. Eddie fucked you relentlessly, mercilessly. He fucked you hard and quick against that wall, murmuring into your ear about how tight you were, how hot and wet that pussy felt around him.
“That’s it, soak my dick, sweetheart.” Eddie chuckled when your walls clenched around him at that. “Fuck yes, squeeze that cock baby. Holy shit that feels so good.”
Your moans had grown in volume with every thrust, and if you didn’t quiet down then people were definitely going to hear you through that locked door.
Eddie’s hand once again clapped over your mouth, muffling your cries of pleasure as he continued pounding you into the wall. “Always so fucking loud.” He saw that look in your eyes again, that submissive, deer-in-the-headlights expression that woke something up in him- made him want to break you.
It was intoxicating, intense, and it was all you saw when you looked at his smoldering brown eyes. You were getting tighter and tighter just looking at them, closer to unraveling, teetering on that delicious edge.
“Fuck, I’m gonna cum-”
And hearing Eddie moan that into your ear was what pushed you over. You mewled into his hand, lips parting to taste the salt on his fingers as you spasmed around him. You felt his cock twitching inside you, felt the wet slide of his cum as gravity sent it dripping down his shaft.
You were both breathing heavily, sweating and spent when he carefully slipped out of you and helped you find your footing on the bathroom floor.
There was a beat of silence between you, and you both knew that the two of you would eventually need to talk about this… but now wasn’t the time.
“You’re coming home with me tonight.” Eddie didn’t phrase it like a question.
“That’s presumptuous of you-”
He leveled a look at you that said ‘Really?’
You sighed. “Fine.”

You put your car into park outside of the Family Video store, Dustin, Max, Lucas and Erica practically sprinting from it as soon as you come to a halt. You shake your head at their impatience with a laugh, pushing your sunglasses further up your face and exiting the car, locking the doors before following them inside.
You had been ‘babysitting’ the kids at the Wheeler’s house when Dustin had mentioned a new movie that had recently come out that he thought would be perfect for movie night. And you, being the lovely older sister that you are, had offered to take him to go and get it. Erica had jumped at the chance to come along, at which she had said there was no reason, but you knew she missed Steve and Robin sometimes, even if she wouldn’t admit it. Max wanted to go with you because she enjoyed browsing through the movies and Lucas wanted to go because Max was going, the others were content to stay at home.
Hearing the bell go off signaling they had a new customer, Steve and Robin’s heads simultaneously snapped up and wide grins spread across both of their faces. The shorter of the two instantly ran to you, engulfing you in a tight hug which you happily returned.
“Oh, I’ve missed you” she mumbles into your shoulder, pulling back to frown at you. “Dingus here has been getting on my nerves” She gestured in Steve’s direction, who was smiling sheepishly at you.
“Hey, Henderson” He greeted, wrapping you in a quick, warm hug. “You stuck babysitting again?” he joked, looking around at the four kids you brought with you.
“Sadly, yes” you sigh, hopping up to sit on the counter in front of Steve, pushing your sunglasses up onto your head. “So, what’s new with you two?” you ask, leaning back onto your hands and studying the two brunettes before you.
Nothing much” Steve shrugs, “The new job’s okay, but the company could be a little better.” He chuckles, playfully pushing Robin’s shoulder.
“Aw, don’t let him fool you, Y/N/N. He secretly loves me.” Robin teased, ruffling his hair and laughing as he frantically tried to put it back in place.
“He secretly loves someone, alright.” The youngest Sinclair suddenly appears at your side, raising her eyebrows mockingly at Steve.
You look between them in confusion, brows furrowing as you watch his cheeks turn a deep crimson. “What are you talking about?”
“She’s not talking about anything, right Sinclair?” he laughs nervously, glaring at the smaller girl, Erica returning the gesture. She opens her mouth to retort but is interrupted by a shout from across the room.
“We found it!” The other three teens come around the corner of an aisle, your younger brother waving the movie in his hands.
“Which movie are you getting?” Robin asks, speaking mostly to you.
You shrug at her, not actually knowing what film Dustin was after. “I don’t know. Dustin said it was new and he wanted to watch it for movie night.”
“You’re having a movie night?” Steve perks up, looking between the group, eyes lingering on you the longest.
“Yeah. You two are more than welcome to join, if you’d like” you offer, silently praying they say yes so it won’t just be you and a bunch of teenagers.
“Oh, I’m sure Steve would love that” Erica chuckles, relishing in the way her words were making Steve so flustered.
“What?” you question, eyebrows furrowed in bewilderment.
“Nothing, nothing,” Steve was quick to reassure. “So, you want a movie?” he turns his attention to Dustin, reaching out to take the tape from his hands. “Oh yeah, yeah, this one is supposed to be good.”
He types the title into the computer before handing it back to Dustin, turning back to you with a smile.
“So, are you going to come along?” You question, taking the money out of your bag to rent the movie before a warm hand covers your own, stopping you.
“No, no, no. Don’t worry about it, it’s on me” he blushes, fumbling to remove his hand once he realized what he’d done.
“Would you please quit your pining and just tell her that you’re in love with her before I vomit?” Erica fake gags, eyes narrowing on Steve.
“Erica!” he shouts, covering his face in embarrassment at his secret being outed in front of the one person he didn’t want to hear.
“Oops” she smirks, before Robin ushers the kids away, giving Steve a reassuring smile and thumbs up, mouthing a quick ‘you’ve got this’ to her best friend.
“You’re in love with me?” you whisper, eyes wide and a small smile on your face.
“Well-I-uh” he fumbles over his words, hand rubbing the back of his neck anxiously. “You weren’t supposed to find out this way. Well, you weren’t supposed to find out at all but clearly, I have incredibly poor judgement and thought it was a good idea to tell Robin about my feelings for you in front of a 10 year old and-”
You shake your head with a fond smile before deciding to save him from his rambling, reaching over the counter to grab his face in your hands and pull him towards you. He stops talking instantly, mouth agape and eyes flickering over your features in surprise.
“You’re an idiot, Steve Harrington” you whisper, before pressing your lips to his in a short, but sweet kiss, pulling away to see his face split into a bewildered smile. “But I guess you’re my idiot now.”
He laughs breathlessly, hardly believing his luck at your words. He was so sure you wouldn’t feel the same, preparing himself for months for the sting of rejection that he was convinced would come if you ever found out. No matter how many times Robin had told him that he was being stupid and that it was obvious you returned his feelings, he had never believed her, instead choosing to think that you could never want to be with somebody like him. But he couldn’t have been more wrong.
He doesn’t waste any more time, instantly jogging around the counter to wrap you up in a tight embrace. When he pulls back, he takes your reddened cheeks into his shaky hands, looking at you as if you had just made his biggest dream come true, which in a way you had. He begins to lean back in, no longer having to hide his love for you or wonder how your lips would feel against his own.
“Seriously, Harrington? Dude, that’s my sister!” The pair of you whip around to see your brother shaking his head at the two of you, but he had a huge smile on his face nonetheless. He had known how you both felt for months now, waiting impatiently for one of you to finally crack and tell the other how you felt. Erica and Robin were smirking and high-fiving, Max and Lucas giving you both an approving thumbs up.
You laugh into Steve’s chest, the sound making his heart clench with fondness as you look up at him with a love-sick smile, arms coming up to rest over his shoulders.
“So, are you going to come to movie night or?” you tease, playing with the hair at the back of his neck.
“Oh, you bet your cute little ass I am.”

stranger things masterlist
pairing(s): steve harrington x fem!reader (henderson)
summary: The party needs help from someone and to steve's displeasure (not really) the only person they can think of is you.
WARNING(S): cursing, fluff, and angst
author's note: this is from my old account as well sooo...
In the depths of night, Y/n Henderson was washing dishes before her mother arrived home.
She was peacefully listening to her Walkman until she saw her brother and his friends rush into the residence.
She took off her headphones and paused her Walkman. With eyebrows furrowed she looked at the group confused.
She was about to ask until she was rudely interrupted,
“What the h-”
“No time to chat! We need your help.”
The girl looked at them dumbfounded with her lips pursed and head cocked forward.
(if you have an idea of what i mean good for you if not then idk)
The younger Henderson rolled his eyes and exhaled, he continued to explain what the fuck was going on. She continued to wash and put away the dishes as she listened to her brother ramble on about Vecna and him being some powerful dark wizard.
She turned around and leaned against the sink with her arms crossed with an amused look on her face.
Once Dustin saw the look on her face he stopped talking.
“You don’t believe us do you?”
She let out an amused chuckle and replied, “Oh no, I believe you, especially with the shit that happened last time. Mind you I was in the same lab as El. I’m good with weird.”
She smiled that devilish smile and looked at the rest of them. Stopping on the boy that broke her heart.
She continued speaking and pushed herself onto the counter, “I mean c'mon I’m friends with Eddie for god’s sake. People call us freaks. I think I’d be expected to be good with weird.”
The group all nodded in unison and understanding. All saying ‘Yeah that makes sense’ .
They looked at Y/n waiting for an answer. The girl was confused as to why it got so quiet until Robin asked, “Soooo are you helping or not?”
The older Henderson’s eyes widened in realization. “Oh! I completely forgot about that. Uhhhhh- I mean I have nothing else to do so I g-”
She was interrupted by Max, “Great! Then let’s go.” The girl quickly rushed of the room leaving everyone else in the dust.
Everyone nodded and soon started walking along with the girl. Except Y/n stayed planted in her spot with another person. That person being…..
Steve 'The Hair’ Harrington
She rolled her eyes at him and tried to walk away but before she could even step out of the kitchen Steve stepped in the way.
Y/n huffed in annoyance, not wanting to hear anything he had to say. She turned to him and said, “Get out of my way Harrington.” He cringed at the formalities between them. He couldn’t help but think of what they used to be but it was his fault. He broke her heart.
The look that she gave Steve sent shivers down his spine. He felt the built-up guilt bubbling inside him from three years ago.
Before, they were a happy couple both in their freshman year. They were the 'it couple’. They were happy until their junior year. Junior year they started to drift apart. Steve started spending more time with Nancy.
Y/n felt neglected and turned to Eddie Munson. They built a friendship they never thought was possible. That was until she heard about Steve’s party and some events that occurred at the Harrington residence.
Y/n was heartbroken. Steve still tried to act like he didn’t fuck Nancy the next day. She told Eddie and all he said was, “Harrington is pussy whipped.” Hearing that Y/n rolled her eyes and laughed with her best friend.
The ex-couple is still standing in the kitchen just staring at each other.
Steve started to speak, “I just, I know what I did was fucked up and I’m so sorry for what I did. I know I can’t change the past but I know I’ve changed. I just wanted to give you closure I guess.”
Y/n furrowed her eyebrows in frustration.
“I don’t need closure. That was a long time ago. We’ve both grown up and I hope we’ve both have at least on your part. Yeah sure I was upset and angry but in the end, all I wanted was for you to be happy. And if Nancy made you happy then to hell with my feelings. I knew I would get better in the meantime. I mean yeah I still have feelings for you so what. I thought I would get over you and let you be but it seems like only one part actually worked…”
As the girl kept rambling on and on. A habit that she has when she’s nervous much like Robin. Steve tries to stop the girl from rambling to have what he needs to say.
“Y/n…..”
She still rambles on.
He says laughing, “Y/n!”
The Henderson replied, “What?”
Steve chuckled while running his fingers through his hair, “You’re rambling. After a while when I was with Nancy more like when she said that our love was bullshit. I thought about you. I thought of how happy I was with you and how I wasn’t that big of a douchebag with you. You made me a better person and it finally came to me. I still love you and I always have. I haven’t felt anything for Nancy in the past two years. It’s always been you.”
(ewwww cringe)
Tears came to both of their eyes.
“Steve I get that. I do still love you but I can’t be with you again. I put that all behind me but I will gladly see what our friendship could turn into.” Steve nodded frantically saying, “Yes! I mean yes of course that’s all I need.”
With smiles on their faces, they walked out of the girl's house with a newfound friendship and ran to catch up with the party.

Let’s Give ‘Em Something to Talk About
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Femme!Henderson!Reader
Summary: Y/N Henderson’s relationship with Eddie puts her at odds with Jason Carver and co.
Warnings: Reader uses she/her pronouns, bullying/harassment, slut shaming, allusions to sexual content (nothing sexual actually happens), Jason being a prick, swearing, Reader is Dustin’s sister but no physical descriptions are used and you can read it as an adopted sibling if you want, I think that’s it but let me know if I missed something
A/N: Alright, this is the first Fic I’ve ever posted on here. I’m honestly a little nervous, but hopefully you enjoy. I’ll probably end up posting this on my Ao3 too so I’ll link that at some point.
My Master List | Ao3
Tumblr media
“I’m gonna miss you”, Eddie whines as he leans against the locker next to yours.
“It’s one class”, you reply as you swap out your English textbook for history, “that’s, what, an hour?”
“Actually I have Davis’s class next so it feels more like three hours”, Eddie says.
You snort. Mr. Davis has probably been around since the dinosaur era, and if there were to be a competition for most boring teacher at Hawkins High, he would win it hands down.
“It’s not funny”, Eddie teasingly pouts, “I might actually die of boredom.”
“As much as I would hate for that to happen, I’ve got my own class to get to, so unfortunately you’re on your own for now,” you reply.
“Alright well, please tell the rest of Hellfire I’m going to miss them”, he tells you, “and feel free to wear that black skirt of yours to the funeral. The tight one. It’s what I would’ve wanted.”
You roll your eyes affectionately before pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
“You’re so dramatic”, you say, “I’ll see you later.”
“If I survive that long”, he calls. You shake your head before turning the corner and heading into your history classroom.
“Okay, class”, your teacher, Mr. Price announces once the bell rings, “I’ve written some questions on the board. You’ll find the answers in Chapter 5 of your textbook. Write them down and turn them in by the end of class. You may work with a partner if you’d like.”
You pull your textbook out of your bag and flip to a clean sheet in your notebook. You don’t have any friends in this class, so you figure you may as well just do it yourself and get it over with. That is, until a voice startles you as you’re about to start reading the first page of the chapter.
“Hey, Y/N. Do you wanna work together?”
You blink up at the source of the voice and are pretty sure you must be hallucinating. That’s the only explanation you can think of as to why Jason Carver would be asking you to be his partner.
The two of you have been in the same grade since Kindergarten and you can't think of a single time in all those years that he’s directly acknowledged your existence. The closest thing you have to a connection with him is that your little brother is friends with one of his new Basketball recruits, but you kind of doubt he even knows or cares about that. There’s a few members of his little posse he could be asking to work with him, so you have no clue why he’d be asking you of all people. But, you don’t have anyone else, so you shrug.
“Sure, I guess”, you say.
“Great”, he smiles, moving to sit down next to you.
“I’ll get started on number 1”, you suggest, “maybe you can do number 2 and we’ll compare?”
“Sure”, he says sweetly. You’re honestly getting a little freaked out by how friendly he’s being.
You both do your agreed upon work, and then switch off to show each other your answers.
“So?” you ask when he’s finished reading yours, “does that seem right?”
“Yeah”, he replies, “you’re good at this. You ever thought about being a tutor?”
“Oh, no, not really”, you say.
“See, I just ask because our youth group has this program where some of us older members help the younger kids out after school and stuff.”
“Oh, that’s cool”, you tell him, not really engaged the conversation. It all sounds well and good, but you really aren’t interested in being a tutor at the moment.
“You know, the church has a lot of great programs”, Jason continues, and you’re not sure what any of this has to do with the Byzantine empire, which is what you’re supposed to be discussing.
“Okay”, you say.
“They do a lot of outreach, a lot of stuff to help people who have lost their way.”
“Lost their way?” you inquire, a small part of you beginning to understand what’s actually going on.
“Yeah. You know. Made bad choices, got mixed up with the wrong people.”
“Um, I think we should just get back to the assignment”, you suggest, uncomfortable with the discussion and not wanting it to go any further.
“Look”, Jason sighs, “what I’m trying to say is, I don’t know you very well, but you seem like a nice girl. I’d hate to see you go down a bad path.”
Okay. You get it now, and it’s starting to piss you off.
“Thank you, but I’m doing just fine”, you insist.
“You’ve been hanging around with Eddie Munson”, Jason says, as if it’s some scandalous secret and not just you spending time with your boyfriend, “you really shouldn’t do that, you know…”
You stare at him, a little dumbfounded he would just up and say such a thing to you.
“You can’t be serious…”, you say.
Jason leans in to you, a deadly serious expression on his face.
“I’ve heard about guys like him before”, he tells you, “I know the stuff they’re into.”
Yeah, so do you. It’s tabletop role playing games, which is about the least nefarious activity you could possibly think of. Jason clearly doesn’t see it that way, though, because he’s still going on.
“And I know they like to lure innocent people like you into their little organizations. I’m telling you, Munson is bad news. You should stay away before you get hurt.”
You seriously have to hold yourself back from laughing right in Jason’s face. You’re not sure what reality he’s living in, but it clearly isn’t the same one you are. Last weekend, you and Eddie had watched Terms of Endearment and he’d started to cry (well started tearing up at least, even sniffled a little, though he vehemently denied it). There’s not a single situation in which you can ever imagine him causing you intentional harm.
“Okay, you know what”, you say, “I think I’m gonna finish the rest of the assignment alone, thanks.”
Jason grabs your arm gently but firmly. “I’m serious, Y/N. He’s dangerous. Stay away from him before you end up hurt or killed.”
You’re really not sure what the most offensive part of all this is. It’s either that Jason thinks that somehow Eddie Munson, your lovable dork of a boyfriend,is secretly an evil Satanist cult leader, or that you’re apparently too stupid or naive to make that kind of judgment for yourself. Maybe it’s that he volunteered to work with you on an assignment and acted all friendly with you just so he could get this opportunity to preach to you about your supposedly “dangerous” lifestyle. He’s never given you the time of day before, after all.
“I don’t know what it is you think you see in him, but I promise you it’s not going to end well.”
You snort. Is he, what, jealous or something? He’s got a girlfriend, after all, and plenty of other girls who’d be willing to take her place if she were to leave him. It’s kind of sad that he’s apparently so insecure that the mere thought of Eddie Munson getting female attention is enough to have him losing his shit like this.
“Whatever”, you spit, “just leave me alone.”
He glares at you, but ultimately turns his attention to his textbook and doesn’t speak to you for the rest of the class.
-
You happily shove the encounter out of your mind once the bell rings. You’re perfectly content with the social circle you keep, and you’re not going to let some jock with an inflated sense of self importance change that.
Jason apparently doesn’t do the same because he spends lunch glaring at you from his table. Granted, him shooting disgusted looks in the general direction of the Hellfire Club is a regular occurance, but today he’s making it obvious his ire is directed specifically at you.
“What the fuck is his problem?” Eddie asks.
“I dunno”, you shrug, “he’s just an asshole.”
Eddie peers at him for a moment and you can see a familiar glint of mischief twinkle in his eye. Before you can comment, he’s dramatically pushing himself to his feet and sauntering over to Jason and company.
“What do you want?” Jason demands.
“Couldn’t help but notice you staring”, Eddie says, “just wanted to let you know that I’m flattered, but unfortunately you aren’t really my type. Sorry.”
“Fuck off”, Jason barks, “disgusting freak.”
“Don’t take it too hard”, Eddie says, giving him a joking pat on the shoulder before making his way back over to you. You stifle a laugh at the indignant look plastered on Jason’s face. Eddie shoots you a proud grin and you shake your head affectionately. Jason clearly doesn’t know shit about “guys like Eddie.”
-
The next few days pass by uneventfully. Jason doesn’t try talking to you again, which you’re thankful for. Wednesday starts out normally, you go to history, and Jason roundly ignores your presence. Then you have to go to your next class, which is gym.
Definitely not a favorite of yours, and you don’t even have Eddie in your class to ease the pain. You make it through your warm ups, and then the coach has you split up to practice your volleyball serves. Everything’s going well until Andy, one of Jason’s buddies, approaches you out of nowhere.
“Hey, Henderson”, he says, a smirk on his face, “you think you could score me some weed?”
You look at him, confused. You don’t get involved in Eddie’s side hustle, so you’re not sure why he’d ask you.
“What?”
“Oh, I just figured you probably get a good discount”, he goes on, “I mean, that’s why you let Munson fuck you, right?”
You freeze in shock, your cheeks starting to grow hot. You can’t say you’re used to people making comments about your sex life, especially not to your face.
“I mean, I gotta say”, Andy continues, a cruel glint in his eye, “I didn’t take you for a slut. But come on. Spreading your legs for that freak? Jesus, that’s sad. You know, I’d be happy to show you a good time, since you’re so desperate for it.”
You can only stand there, mouth agape. Sure, you’ve gotten a gross comment or two from a male classmate before, but nothing like this. You certainly have never been called a slut before. You try to formulate a response, but you can’t come up with one. It doesn’t matter anyway, because the coach’s whistle rings out, signaling for you all to hit the changing rooms. You dash out of the gym, more than pleased to be away from Andy.
You hop in the shower in the locker room, take a few moments to shake off the discomfort of the interaction. You’re not entirely successful in that endeavor, because it keeps playing in your mind even after you’re dressed and making your way back into the hallways.
You have no idea where the hell Andy came up with all of that. At this point, it’s common knowledge that you and Eddie are dating, but you don’t know where this idea that you’re sleeping with him for drugs came from. It couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Hey, Beautiful”, you’re distracted from your thoughts by Eddie, who comes happily bounding over to you. His face falls when he sees the look on your face though.
“You okay?” he asks.
“I’m fine”, you say. Something about the idea of telling Eddie about what happened leaves a bad taste in your mouth. It’s embarrassing, and you definitely don’t want him to feel like it’s somehow his fault that Jason and Andy are giving you a hard time.
Besides, it doesn’t matter. Once again, nothing they say about you or Eddie is true. You can’t let some stupid jocks get to you.

Honestly, you probably could’ve been okay, if that was the end of it. Unfortunately, things only get worse the next day.
As you make your way to your seat in history, you catch sight of Amber and Samantha, two cheerleaders who like to hang around Jason and the others, whispering as you walk by.
You ignore them, figuring you’re being paranoid and they probably aren’t even talking about you, but when you sit down, Amber turns and looks you right in the eye.
She raises her voice then, clearly intending for you to hear what she’s saying.
“I hope she’s gotten tested”, she tells Samantha, “I can’t imagine what nasty shit the Freak is passing on to her.”
You take a deep breath, turning away from her.
It doesn’t matter, you tell yourself, it’s not true.
“I hope the drugs are worth it,” Samantha says.
You clench your jaw as you slip into your seat. It shouldn’t bother you so much. It's not true, and even if it were, who cares what Amber and Samantha have to say about it?
You’re dating Eddie because you like him. You like the way he’s always joking around and making you laugh, you like that he makes a point of looking out for Dustin and his friends, you like the way he looks at you with those big puppy dog eyes and flashes that mischievous grin. Cheap access to his drugs has never even crossed your mind.
You shouldn’t concern yourself with what they say, you know that, but hearing your name in connection with “slut” grinds at you.
-
During gym class, you do your best to avoid Andy, because everytime he notices you looking at him, he’s making some suggestive gesture at you. You don’t bother telling anyone about it, since Andy’s on the basketball team and the coach would probably take his side.
In the hallway, you accidentally bump into Patrick from the basketball team. You mutter an apology, which he accepts, but his girlfriend gives you the dirtiest look you’ve ever seen.
“Don’t talk to her”, you hear her tell him as you walk away, “she’s a slut.”
-
All of the gossip has put you in a foul mood by the time you get to your second to last period of the day, which happens to be study hall.
Like always, it’s in the cafeteria, with you and a bunch of other students of varying grade levels all sitting around doing your homework. Technically, you’re not supposed to talk, but the teacher in charge is way too underpaid to worry about enforcing that, so you can usually get away with conversation as long as things don’t get too rowdy.
You’re not taking advantage of that today, rather trying your best to distract yourself by actually doing your homework. You’re halfway through summarizing Act 3 of Hamlet when you hear someone say your name.
“Hey, Y/N…”
You’re confused when you look up to find Lucas standing there. Technically, you’ve known him for years, but it’s not like you’ve ever associated with him outside the time he spends with Dustin.
“What?” you ask, a little meaner than you mean to.
“I just thought you should know that…well, I think Jason has been going around saying things about you.”
Of course. You should’ve known Jason was behind this. Jason fucking Carver. Captain of the Basketball Team. Active member of the local church. Son of one of the most respected families in Hawkins. He’s clearly used to people listening to whatever he has to say. Apparently, his ego couldn’t handle you dismissing his comments about your relationship with Eddie.
Jesus, you’d always known he was a bit of an asshole, but this is a level of pettiness you’d never expected, even from him.
“Don’t tell him I told you”, Lucas adds, “but I just thought you should know.”
“Thank you”, you say. You’re definitely glad to have that piece of information.
-
The next day, you storm into Mr. Price’s classroom with righteous fury coursing through your veins. You bypass your desk and instead march straight up to Jason.
He pauses his conversation with Andy and Samantha when he sees you approach.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” You demand.
“Excuse me?” Jason asks.
“I know you’ve been starting rumors about me”, you tell him, “what exactly is your problem, Jason?”
“Me? I don’t have a problem”, Jason insists, “I just think it’s fair the men of Hawkins High get a warning about your ‘extracurricular’ activities.”
You can feel heat flood your cheeks.
“You’re a dick, Jason!” you hiss.
“You know, Y/N”, Jason retorts, “I actually feel bad for you. I mean, no decent man is ever going to want you when they find out you’ve been giving it up to some trailer trash freak.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about”, you snap.
“Believe me, I know exactly what happens to girls who hang around with filthy, Satan-worshiping scumbags”, he says, “and you know what? I’m not going to feel sorry for you when they’re finding your body dumped in the woods.”
“Get over yourself!”
“Whatever”, Jason shakes his head, “I’m not gonna take the attitude from some little slut.”
You’re not fully in control of yourself during what happens next. One second you’re standing there listening to Jason degrade you, the next your fist is connecting with his face.
He stands there, stunned for a moment, before opening his mouth to say something. He doesn’t get the chance though, because Mr. Price gets to it first.
“Ms. Henderson”, he gasps, “Mr. Carver, what on earth is going on here?”
“She punched me in the face”, Jason spits accusingly.
“I-I…I’m sorry I…”
“Enough”, Mr. Price sighs, “I want both of you going to the principal’s office right now!”
-
You’re in deep shit. That much is immediately clear. You punched Jason Carver in the face. It’s not like you even claim it was self defense, since he didn’t do anything physical to you.
“So”, Principal Higgins sighs, “tell me what happened again?”
“She punched me in the face”, Jason hisses.
“Is that true?”
“Yes”, you sigh, “but he called me a slut.”
Principal Higgins rubs his temple, processing the information. Meanwhile, Jason’s gaze is fixed firmly on you, his eyes full of hatred.
“Mr. Carver”, Higgins says finally, “that is not appropriate language to use in regards to another student. You may go back to class, but I better not hear about something like this again.”
Jason stands and marches out of the office, as if he has a right to be pissed about Higgins’ scolding. You suppress the urge to roll your eyes. Of course he gets a slap on the wrist. Nobody wants to punish the star basketball player. You’re certain that if it were anyone else, Eddie or Dustin or one of the other Hellfire Club members, they definitely wouldn’t be getting off so easily.
“Now, as for you Ms. Henderson”, Higgins says, “we do not allow for any sort of violence in this school. However, in all your years at this school, you have never had to receive any form of discipline. So I’m willing to be flexible here. Normally, something like this could be grounds for suspension, but since this is your first time, I say it’s two weeks detention after school starting next Monday. Does that sound fair to you?”
Not really, no, but you can’t say that.
“Yes”, you reply instead.
“Alright. Good. Now go back to class. And Ms. Henderson, I sincerely hope I won’t have to see you in my office again.”
-
You’re in a bad mood when Mr. Price’s class finally ends. You’ve gone your entire high school career without getting a detention and now you’ve ruined that over some pompous dick bag. Speaking of, Jason has been staring daggers at you since you returned to class, and is continuing to do so even now as you’re leaving.
There’s a tense, awkward moment where you both stand there in the hallway, glaring at each other, but it’s broken when the force of a body colliding with your back almost takes you off your feet. Jason is forgotten when a pair of arms wrap around your waist from behind.
“Eddie”, you huff playfully.
“How’d you know it was me?” he asks as you turn around to face him.
“Cause you can’t keep your hands to yourself, Munson”, you reply.
“Don’t blame me”, he replies, “you know I’m powerless to resist your charms.”
Before you can reply he’s pulling you close and beginning to press kisses to your cheek. You know the two of you are making a scene, and on any other day you might be a little self conscious about it, but today you’re just glad to have him around.
His kisses stop suddenly and you realize he’s stopped because he’s finally noticed Jason’s hateful glaring. Unfazed as always, he just flashes a cocky smile and gives Jason a mocking impression of a friendly wave. Jason makes a face like he’s wishing for both you and Eddie’s violent deaths.
“Geez”, Eddie comments, “he looks pissed.”
“Um, yeah, probably because I punched him in the face”, you mutter.
Eddie’s eyes widen in obvious surprise.
“He had it coming”, you add, “he was being a Dick.”
You know you don’t have to defend yourself to Eddie. He knows better than anyone how nasty Jason can be.
“My, my, Fair Lady Henderson”, he smiles, “I dare say that was very Metal of you.”
“Yeah, well, Higgins didn’t think so”, you reply, “I got two weeks detention for it.”
“Ol’ Higgins never did have a sense of humor”, Eddie says, “but from where I’m standing, you’re basically a hero.”
“Really?”
“Hell yeah”, Eddie tells you, “Jason and his goons have been making our lives miserable for years.”
You can’t help but smile at that. You’re definitely not happy with the day’s events, but knowing Eddie’s on your side makes it a little more bearable.
-
On Monday you begrudgingly make your way to Mrs. Cline’s room for your first day of detention.
“Ms. Henderson?” she asks when you walk in.
“Yeah”, you say, a little embarrassed.
“Wonderful”, she says, checking your name off of a list in front of her, “please take a seat.”
There’s only two other people in there with you, so you just pick a seat as far from them as possible and sit down.
“Alright”, Mrs. Cline says, “looks like everyone’s here except…”
“I’m here.”
You look up in surprise to see Eddie come walking into the room.
“Ah, yes, Mr. Munson”, Mrs. Cline says dryly, “what a surprise. Please take a seat.”
You know that Eddie isn’t a stranger to detention, but it’s weird that he didn’t mention anything to you when you’d told him about it. He walks over to the desk next to yours, looking way too pleased for someone who’s about to serve a stint in detention.
“What are you doing here?” you ask.
“Oh, you know, got caught vandalizing the boy’s locker room during free period”, he tells you.
“What? When?”
“Friday”, he says with a satisfied smirk.
You frown. This must’ve happened after the whole Jason thing on Friday which means…
Which means Eddie did it knowing that you were also going to be in detention.
“Eddie”, you say, “did you get detention just because I did?”
“I couldn’t let you have all the fun, could I?” he grins.
You can’t help but smile along with him.
“Mr. Munson, Ms. Henderson”, Mrs. Cline calls from her desk, “no talking during detention.”
Eddie mimes zipping his lips and waits until Mrs. Cline looks away before giving you a playful wink. You stifle a giggle.
You don’t know Jason all that well, but you’re pretty sure he would never dream of landing himself in detention just to keep his girlfriend company. You’ve never seen him make a scene in the middle of the hallways to get her to smile. That’s the thing about this that really gets under your skin. Jason and the others don’t know shit. They think that just because Eddie doesn’t fall into their narrow definition of “acceptable”, he must be scary and dangerous. They think that just because you’re not afraid of him, you must be dirty and corrupted. They’re too close-minded to look closer and see that Eddie is the sweetest boyfriend you could ever imagine, that you spend time with him because he makes you happy. They’d rather write him off as a freak and you off as a slut than accept that maybe their perception is wrong.
You’re far from being a violent person, but you can’t say you regret what you did. Jason deserved to be put in his place, and it’s not like you did any serious damage to him anyway. You’re glad you stood up for yourself, for Eddie. You’ve probably tacked “psycho bitch” onto your already unflattering “whore” reputation, but at this point, you’re not sure you care. If being a freak means you get to spend your days with the love of your life, you will gladly accept that label.
-
After the designated two hours are up, Mrs. Cline dismisses you all.
“Well, that wasn’t so bad”, you say as you and Eddie start making your way through the hall.
“Nah”, he replies, “I mean it’s boring but it’s not bad.”
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely not planning on having to do this again”, you continue, “but it’s bearable.”
Eddie nods.
“I’m sorry, by the way”, he adds.
“For what?”
“Jason and the others. They’ve been giving you a hard time, right?”
“Yeah”, you shrug, “it is what it is. Not your fault.”
“I mean it kind of is”, Eddie replies, “they’re only doing it because you’re dating me.”
“Eddie”, you say, “Jason’s an asshole, okay? That’s not on you. If he can’t handle our relationship, then fuck him.”
That gets a grin out of Eddie.
“You know, you’re getting to be quite a rabble rouser, Henderson”, he jokes.
“I’m learning from the best”, you tease back.
Eddie’s smile widens. He follows you out to your car and then presses a soft kiss to your lips.
“See you tomorrow, Sweetheart”, he says and then heads off to his van. You watch him go, butterflies still lingering in your tummy from the contact.
If you’d actually had any doubts about Eddie, they would’ve disappeared in that moment. That feeling, it’s a one of a kind thing. No one’s ever managed to give it to you before, and you’re not sure anyone else ever will. You love Eddie. He loves you. He’s sweet, and silly and he treats you right. If your peers want to believe a bunch of bullshit about you two, then let them. You know what you have, and you’re not going to let them ruin it for you.
Grinning to yourself, you hop in your car, put the Black Sabbath tape you borrowed from Eddie into the player and head home.

Eddie Munson x Mom! Reader.
TW: Children
Chapter 2
When Eddie awoke, he noted the missing weight on his chest but wasn’t concerned figuring her mother had taken her from him sometime in the night, or at this point: morning.
He didn’t hear the quiet padding on the carpet as Jovie made her way back to him. Eddie had easily become her next favorite person. He was something new, she liked new.
She stared at him as Eddie lay with his eyes still closed. “Leave him be Jovie,” y/n said softly, careful to not wake Eddie who unbeknownst to her was already awake.
“Mama, make breakfast?” The tiny being asked, not at all quiet. Eddie heard y/n snort and found it to be the most adorable sound. She answered the child too quietly for Eddie’s ears to pick up but heard them or at least y/n retreat into the kitchen.
“Dude get up,” Mike said nudging Eddie’s feet. Eddie quickly flipped off the wheeler boy and opened his eyes, wincing when the light hit them. Mike was flipping Eddie off as he sat up. “Very nice Wheeler,” Eddie says rolling eyes.
Jovie gasped as she heard his voice, and padded her way over to him leaving her mother in the kitchen. “Like breakfast?” She asked him, grabbing his attention with her broken speech.
He smiled at her. Taking in her pigtails and almost too-long tee. “Oh man I love breakfast” Eddie wasn’t sure where this came from: The sudden knowledge of how to say things to the tiny being.
Jovie held out her hand, and Eddie offered his much larger one. Her small hand wrapped around just two of his fingers and pulled on him. This action only barely jerked his arm instead of pulling him up like she had planned.
Eddie stood, letting her lead the way. Y/n stood at the counter whisking what looked to be eggs with a fork in a large porcelain blue bowl. "Help yourselves" she spoke not looking up from her task of whisking.
Eddie grabbed a plate and made one for Jovie seeing as the other teens were piling food on their own plates, not bothering to leave enough for the child. Once he piled food onto her plate he then stared at the plastic baby blue highchair. "How the f-" he stopped himself short, "How does she get in this thing" he asked, terrified to break the foreign technology.
y/n came and slipped the child in as if it were nothing then just resumed making breakfast for the ravenous teen boys. "Thank you for feeding her" She offered Eddie a smile that sent a fuzzy feeling into his stomach.
"She probably wouldn't get to eat otherwise" Eddie joked, y/n laughed. He prayed to any god that she wouldn’t see the blush that spread across his face.
“You’re probably right” she smiled. Her smile quickly faltered as she concentrated, mind mulling over her next words. Her lips pursed as she spoke, “I have an extra ticket to go see this band, would you consider going?” He blinks, taken aback but she just continues before he can speak “My friend flaked and you look like you would enjoy Crusader”
“Wait, you have tickets to see Crusader?” He asks, more in awe that she even knew who Crusader was, she definitely wasn’t that type of girl, at least he thought she wasn’t.
“Yes, I just asked you to go with me” she shot back. Even her sarcasm was attractive to him, “can you hear under all that hair?” This was a tease, one that got him to smile.
“When is it?” He asked. He then learned it was Saturday at seven. He felt like this was an easy decision. Eddie had been dying to see this band. "Works for me"
They talked details, deciding y/n was going to drive. She’d also pick him up being as she would already be out dropping Jovie off with the babysitter. Eddie was very excited for this Saturday.
-
“Hey, are you ready to have some fun?” Steve asked the tiny girl who stood in front of him unamused at his overly excited tone. He glances up at y/n and says, “tough crowd”
The joke caused a snort to sound from y/n. “I don't know how fun she’ll be, she didn’t sleep well.” Steve offers a sympathetic smile and holds out hands to pick up the tiny human.
Jovie waddles her way into his arms, he squeezes her to him and lifts her into the air. Steve’s careful to sling her on his hip. Once she was settled he held his free arm out for the diaper bag. Which y/n placed on his shoulder.
“Have fun, y/n, you deserve it” he says, offering her a small smile while bouncing the child on his hip.
“I’ll see you tomorrow” she said to both Steve and her child but going to give her child a kiss on the cheek. “Bye Steve!” She called as she walked out the door and to her car.
She sat a moment in the car contemplating this excursion. Y/n did not want to be away from her baby, in fact this was the first time she’d be leaving her. It was not sitting well.
Y/n turned the key, igniting the ignition and back out of the parking spot. If only she hadn’t promised Eddie a ticket. She’d turn right back around.
The drive to pick up Eddie was short, he had waited on her at the edge of the road. Not wanting the embarrassment of her seeing where he lived, though he guessed everyone knew.
“Hey!” She beamed as he got into the passenger side of the car. “You excited?”
“Hell yeah!” He was beyond excited. This band was a local legend. He aspired to follow in their footsteps. “Let’s go” Pulling off the side of the road, they began their journey.

Love Triangle ( Fem!Henderson!Reader Edition )
Henderson!Reader who is basically sunshine on a pair of legs, raised by a doting Claudia who constantly builds up her confidence and builds her into this teddy bear personified
Steve used to be kind of a dick to Reader in his King Steve phase. But for some reason Reader never held it against him; she was always kind to him, tried to see the good in him even if he didn’t deserve it. Most of the time it just made him feel like a dick.
Eddie befriended her during his second senior year when she was just a junior. He thought she was sweet, if not a little annoying with her do-good attitude. As a nonconformist, it’s severely hard to be friends with someone who still thinks it’s rude not to address the teacher with sir or ma’am.
When they both start liking Reader it was kind of like a telepathic note that they just KNEW the other liked them, too. And instantly it became some kind of dick swinging contest that only Reader was unaware of.
They both start ATTEMPTING to hang out with Reader more, but this usually just ends up with the three of them following her around like lost puppy dogs, carrying her bag for her or buying her sodas. Reader is just so happy b/c she gets to spend this time with her closest friends 🥰
Steve takes more after the chivalry role. He constantly opens doors for Reader and proceeds to slam it in Eddie’s face when he walks in after her. He also buys milkshakes with two straws for them to share but Eddie looks him dead in the eye and slurps that motherfucker, brain freeze be damned.
Eddie, on the other hand, is more like the playful role? He constantly tries to make Reader laugh by doing silly things and cracking jokes. Sometimes Steve trips him up and Eddie will fall on purpose just to see Reader giggle and help him up.
They go to the movies and do the yawn arm stretch thing at the same time and accidentally interlock their arms behind Reader’s head. She laughs and just grabs both of their hands, interlocking them with hers.
Steve always gets so excited when she visits him at work until she starts arriving with Eddie who’s just standing there all smugly beside her because he can dote and hug on her but Steve can’t because \\work//
Eddie’s so happy b/c Reader agreed to go to his Corroded Coffin gig and waves at her so happy from the stage until he sees her there with Steve who is giving Eddie this shit eating grin and waving at him, too. Eddie nearly contemplates breaking his precious baby guitar over Steve’s head.
Eddie and Steve pester Dustin constantly asking him who Reader’s favorite is and he’s just so mentally exhausted like ‘WHO. CARES.’
Steve hosts like a movie night and ‘conveniently’ Nancy and Robin both cancelled. Reader and Eddie shows up and Steve is APPALLED b/c Reader’s dressed in a Hellfire shirt, EDDIE’S Hellfire shirt to be exact. Eddie’s smug asf ofc. Plus he drove her here which makes it worse
Buuuuut Steve manages to convince her to cuddle up next to him b/c he’s a personal heater and has the fluffiest blanket. So she’s laying across his chest and Steve just smirks over at Eddie who’s pouting.
Steve likes to baby Reader a lot. Part of being the ‘babysitter’ makes him very…for lack of a better word, devoted? He just likes to take care of Reader, make her feel like she doesn’t have to lift a finger. He likes to buy her things and cook for her.
Eddie, on the other hand, likes to have fun with Reader. Go out and do stuff just the two of them whether it’s something stupid like just sitting together above the quarry or reading to each other in his bed. Eddie just likes those quiet moments with them b/c they’re so sweet and personal. He gets to talk about stuff he doesn’t normally
Eventually, after a long time of fighting over her the two of them finally ask her who she’d rather go out with. They won’t be hurt they just want her to be happy
Reader is confused b/c she thought all three of them were dating this whole time together?

Roll for Persuasion
Tumblr media
You were quite content living in blissful unawareness of Eddie Munson, but that all changed when your brother joined Hellfire Club. Now the loud-mouthed metal head was everywhere; and for some reason he's deadset on making you miserable.
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Henderson!reader (can be read as bio or adoptive sister - visually inclusive)
Warnings: SMUT (reader is 18+, protected sex), underage drinking (in America), mean older sister/ siblings shenanigans, enemies to lovers
Word count: 7k
masterlist / read on ao3 / send me love 💌
You had never paid much attention to Eddie Munson before your senior year. You’d heard of him, of course; Hawkins was a small town and his reputation as the loud-mouthed metal head preceded him, but the two of you ran in different cliques and had never actually crossed paths.
Eddie never paid much attention to you either. He knew your name and face the same way he knew the names and faces of most of his classmates, but he thought you were just another stereotype. Another cheerleader destined for a life of middle-class suburban drudgery after peaking in high school.
But Eddie was wrong. Behind your strawberry lip gloss and perfectly styled hair you had goals beyond being a housewife. Your dad had always said you were ambitious; too smart for your own good. Your advanced placement classes and extracurricular activities had put you on track for a scholarship to some fancy out of state college and as soon as you graduated you were out of Hawkins.
The only thing you were going to miss about your small town was your younger brother. Dustin was annoying, he was also a major nerd who shared practically none of your interests, but you had a soft spot for the little twerp. It had been hard on him when your family moved to Hawkins five years ago and even harder when your father had up and left. You’d taken it upon yourself to look out for the kid. It had been a blessing he’d found friends in Mike, Lucas, and Will, but you were still thankful to be there for his first year of high school.
The first day Dustin started at Hawkins High he’d come home talking about Hellfire Club and their leader, ‘Eddie the Banished’. You hadn’t thought much about it, just glad that he and his friends had found a group to belong to amongst the high school cliques, even if it was one of the lamer clubs. That relief soon turned into annoyance when you learnt that Hellfire Club met at the same time as cheer practice, meaning your mom made you drive Dustin and his friends home.
The first time you properly interacted with Eddie Munson was about six weeks into the new school year. Hellfire had run late the last few weeks and you were not in the mood to be waiting around. The nights were getting colder and the cardigan that came with your cheer uniform was doing little to protect you from the chilly October air. After sitting in your car for half an hour you’d had enough.
Dustin had never told you where his club met but it didn’t take you long to find them; you only had to follow the sound of raucous hollering down the hallway to the drama room. The door was shut but you could see the light seeping through the crack above the floor and hear the unmistakable sound of muffled arguing.
You swung the door open without warning, cutting someone off mid-sentence. “If you’re not in the car in five minutes I’m leaving and you can all walk home.” Your voice cut through the chatter like a knife, all heads whipping around to stare at you.
The young man at the head of the table squinted his eyes, rising from the throne he was sitting on. “This is a private meeting.”
“I’m not asking to join,” you retorted. “I’m Dustin’s sister.”
“Family day is next week.” He studied your face as if trying to place you and your name rolled off his tongue as a question. “I’ve seen you with Chrissy.”
It didn’t surprise you he knew Chrissy. You knew she’d scored special K and oxy off him a few times; you knew most of the cheer squad had bought something from him whether they admitted to it or not. Chrissy had told you, albeit in secret, that Eddie was actually a nice guy. His tone and expression right now made you question her judgement.
“You never said your sister was a cheerleader, Henderson,” he said it like an insult but he was smirking. His eyes trailed up your legs, your short skirt only just covering your thighs.
You shifted awkwardly but stood your ground. “Glad to see all that pot hasn’t affected your critical thinking skills,” you crossed your arms over your chest, tilting your head to the side. “Reckon you’ll finally graduate this year?”
“Why, already planning the reunion? Must suck when your entire personality is school spirit. What’s left to do once you’ve already peaked?”
You scowled, eyes narrowing. “Car, Dustin. Now.”
“You said five minutes,” your brother whined, eyes bouncing between you and Eddie.
“I changed my mind,” you turned on your heels and left, not caring if your brother or his friends were following.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
You seemed to see Eddie more often after that first encounter. Either he was making his presence more apparent or your mind had become more aware of spotting him in the crowds. Either way, neither of you spoke to each other, but you did keep making the mistake of glancing at him; fatal errors that left him smirking after you.
You didn’t seem alone in your inability to look away, though. You’d caught Eddie staring at you in the hallways more than once, casually leaning against his locker and twisting his silver rings around his fingers. The difference between you, however, was that Eddie never looked away in embarrassment when you caught him watching you. Instead he would tilt his head, wordlessly testing to see if you would question him, knowing you wouldn’t be caught dead talking to him in public. You’d scowl whenever he did this, slamming your locker shut and forfeiting the contest.
“Dustin won’t shut up about him.”
“Who?” You knew who he was talking about, but you acted confused nonetheless, picking at your manicure as you sat on the hood of your car.
“That freak Eddie Munson,” Steve said, jealousy coating the name. He was leaning against his own car, parked in the spot next to yours. The two of you often found yourselves chatting as you waited to pick up your freeloaders; you were waiting for your brother, Steve waiting for Robin.
“I know, it’s getting ridiculous,” you too were getting sick of Dustin’s dedicated worship to the dungeon master, but part of you was also glad he was annoying Steve too. “Maybe if you hung out with him more-”
“I have a life!”
“-he wouldn’t have so much time for Eddie,” you finished your thought. Steve groaned, throwing his head back to look up at the sun, Ray-Bans perched on his nose. “Speaking of having a life, have you asked out Linda yet?”
“Have you asked out Gavin?”
You made a retching noise. “Ugh, no. He tripped a freshman in the cafeteria the other day and my attraction to him,” you flicked your wrist. “Just like that, poof, it was gone. He has great hair though.”
“You can have great hair without being an asshole. Believe me, I would know.”
“Would you though?” You reached up to ruffle his hair, managing to mess it up before he swatted your hand away. Your giggling was cut short as Steve tugged your head back by your ponytail, loosening the hair tie until it hung limply by your shoulder blades. “Hey! I spend ages getting these curls just right.”
“And you think this comes naturally?” He stared at you a moment over the top of his Ray-Bans before the two of you dissolved into a fit of laughter. You slumped against Steve’s shoulder as the muscles in your stomach began to ache, his arm wrapped around your waist to hold you steady.
“Interrupting something, are we?” You looked up to see Eddie and Dustin standing in front of you. Eddie was holding a shoe box with a scale model of a water wheel, while Dustin was holding the poster-board portion of his science project.
Steve dropped his arm as you rolled your eyes. “If you needed help carrying stuff you should have asked,” you opened the trunk of the car, gesturing for Dustin to put his science project inside.
“Eddie offered,” Dustin tossed his bag next to the water wheel and shut the trunk. “I said I’d help Mike with his so I’ll be back in a sec.” Before you could protest that you had things to do, Dustin rushed off brushing passed Robin as he left.
“Did anyone tell him he’s heading in the wrong direction or are you all too busy standing around doing nothing?” Robin asked, opening the passenger door of Steve’s car and throwing her backpack on the backseat. She gave you a little wave before she hopped in.
“Coming to the store later?”
“Nah, can’t tonight. Got a test first thing tomorrow morning,” you sighed, drumming your fingers on the roof of your car. “I’ll come by after school tomorrow. Brooke said I need to watch Impulse. She said it’s sexy and scary.”
“The best combination. I’ll see you tomorrow then. Have fun studying,” he gave you a dorky salute before he got in the car.
You hadn’t even realised Eddie was still standing there until he spoke. “Didn’t know you and Harrington were a thing. Can’t say I’m surprised,” he dug around in his jacket pocket and produced a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
You crossed your arms, already annoyed. “Not that it’s any of your business but we’re not together.”
“Why not?” He stuck a cigarette between his lips, lighting the end. “He seems like your type. You know, an asshole.”
“If assholes were my type I’d be all over you,” it came out more as a sneer than you had anticipated but you stuck with it.
“Who says you aren’t?” When he saw your horrified expression he explained. “I see the way you look at me.”
“I only look to make sure you’re not watching me. You’re a stalker, Munson.”
“Stalker? Does the whole world revolve around you now, sweetheart? I wasn’t aware.”
“Your world does since you seem to be obsessed with me,” at this point it was pretty clear, even to you, that you were deflecting. But there was some small amount of truth in the fact that he watched you as much as you watched him. “I hate you, Eddie Munson. And I’m pretty sure you hate me too.”
Eddie smirked, blowing a spiral of smoke upwards, “it’s a thin line between love and hate.”
You blinked as you processed his words, a knowing smile appearing on your lips when it dawned on you why they sounded so familiar. “You think you’re so clever, don’t you. Now tell me, what do girls usually say when they realise your lines are stolen song lyrics?”
“That’s up to you, sweetheart. You’re the first,” he winked as he left you standing shellshocked.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
It was a chilly Tuesday night, and while you would have much rather be curled up on your couch watching Moonlighting with your mom, you’d instead been dragged to a dingy bar on the outskirts of town by your friend. She had a crush on one of the bartenders; a community college student from the next town over. Inside the bar was thick with cigarette smoke and the floor was sticky with years of spilt beers. An amateur band had taken to the stage and were playing a very subjective form of music. But your friend had assured you that this bar didn’t card.
You shrunk into one of the booths, fingers gripping a tall glass of very foamy beer. You kept glancing across to where your friend sat at the counter, overly affectionate in her flirting with the man behind the bar. Stupidly, she’d been your ride here, meaning you’d either need to convince her to leave or call your mom up to come and save you. Neither seemed like great options. You looked over at the stage, the band was now playing a slower song and you had to admit it wasn’t half bad.
The guitarist was pretty good. You watched him as he concentrated on the riff, his fingers moving quickly along the neck of the guitar, his long hair and the dark stage lights obscuring his face. You couldn’t look away from his hands and suddenly very uninvited thoughts entered your head. Dirty thoughts that had absolutely no excuse to be there, especially about a man whose face you’d never seen. You shook your head trying desperately to shake free the thoughts, but they were somehow gripping onto the corners of your mind; digging in their heels and setting up camp.
You were busy trying to think about other things like kittens and rainbows that you’d barely noticed that the band had stopped playing. Only the scattered applause from the few drunken patrons woke you from your dream state. The band began packing up; unplugging amps and disassembling the drum kit and you contemplated introducing yourself to the mystery guitarist. There was something about him that felt magnetic, but you decided to watch him from a distance for a little longer. There was no point talking to him if he wasn’t cute, after all.
Every time you tried to catch a glimpse of his face something was in the way; either the bassist was chatting with him about something or other, or the bartender was refilling his drink. You were about to finally give up and admit that it was a lost cause when you looked up and saw he was alone at the corner of the stage closest to you. He was fiddling with one of the tuning keeps when he pushed his hair back, the stage light in perfect position to illuminate his face. His annoyingly handsome face.
“No,” you breathed, sinking into the booth with your head down. You did not just spend the last 20 minutes building up the courage to talk to the cool guitarist for it to turn out to be Eddie fucking Munson. You braved a glance up to see him staring right at you, “fuck.” He was smirking, just like always, as he packed his guitar into its case.
Maybe he’d leave you alone. Maybe he would pack up the amps and head off. You didn’t really believe that, groaning as you saw him making his way towards you.
“Sure you’re in the right place, sweetheart?” He slid effortlessly into the booth opposite you.
“Wait, this isn’t the nail salon?” You feigned confusion, expression quickly souring as his arms stretched over the back of the booth. You didn’t like that he was getting comfortable. You didn’t want to like it.
“Like the set?”
“You’re not Duran Duran.”
Eddie scoffed, “I’m taking that as a compliment.” He leant forward, “what are you doing here, Henderson?”
You glanced over at your friend, it was the first time you had checked in on her in a while and the innocent flirting had advanced to making out as she and the bartender swallowed each other’s tongues.
Eddie followed your gaze, “oh.”
“Yeah,” you downed the last of your beer. “She’s my ride.”
“I can drive you home,” he said it easily, as if it was no big deal.
You were hesitant to take him up on the offer, but due to your friend’s current activities you might just have to. “Really?” You weren’t sure how you’d manage the drive home in such close quarters.
“Sure. You can help me load the amps.”
After managing to pull your friend apart from her make out companion long enough to tell her you’d found a ride home, Eddie had stuck to his guns and made you help him pack the amps into the back of his van. His van smelled warm, like old spice and smoke, with the faint earthy hint of weed. It was nice and cosy, a safe haven from the frigid December air outside. You waited for Eddie to turn on the ignition, but he hesitated.
“Why do you hate me so much?”
“What?” You weren’t expecting him to ask you that. It was true that you’d told him those three big words before, but it was more of a heat of the moment explosion than the truth. “I don’t actually hate you.” He just got on your nerves and if you were honest you weren’t even sure why.
“You obviously don’t like me.”
“You don’t like me,” you pointed out, remembering the first conversation you two had shared and the insults you’d both made at the other’s social rank.
“I do like you,” he sounded earnest, his voice soft.
You paused, “you like me?”
“Yeah, you’re not what I thought you’d be like.” You frowned and Eddie cringed, “I didn’t mean-” he attempted to grasp for the right words. “I thought you’d be a stereotype, but I was wrong. I’m sorry for what I said when we first met.”
“You don’t even know me.”
“Not really,” he leant back against the headrest, his face turned to watch you. The moonlight reflected in his dark brown eyes showing shimmering flecks of amber. “Dustin talks about you a lot. He talks about Harrington too but I’m more interested in what he has to say about you.” You couldn’t help the smile that escaped through your well maintained facade of indifference and Eddie caught it. “That’s the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen.”
You blushed. What on earth was he doing to you? You looked down, a million thoughts raced through your head but the one you focused on was telling you to get it together.
You didn’t hate Eddie Munson, but you didn’t exactly like him either. You didn’t even know him. All you knew about him came from what your brother had told you. He liked metal music, played the guitar, and led the most epic DnD campaigns. He was cool, according to Dustin, Lucas, and Mike, and he’d taken the three freshman under his wing on the first day of school. Eddie Munson hadn’t done anything to make you dislike him, in fact the way he was looking out for your brother and his friends should endear you to him. He’d even apologised for insulting you the first time you’d met. Maybe Chrissy was right, maybe Eddie was a good guy.
You weren’t sure what made you lean in, but within seconds you were kissing him. He tasted like tobacco and beer, and ever so slightly like juicy fruit. His mouth felt warm, his tongue lingering against your bottom lip, like he wasn’t game enough to make the next move.
“Kiss me,” you urged, tugging his head towards you. That seemed to be all the encouragement he needed because the instant his lips met yours for the second time all bets were off.
He groaned as your fingers curled against his scalp, his hands landing on your hips and pulling you across the centre console onto his lap. He shrugged off his jacket, tossing it in the backseat and his movements made your back bump against the steering wheel. You didn't care, too focused on the feeling of Eddie’s hands travelling beneath your sweater, your own hands tugging the material of his raglan shirt away from his skin. You shivered as his thumbs brushed below your ribcage and you wanted nothing more than for him to explore further, but you were in his van. And his van was in the parking lot of a shady bar. And people were beginning to file out of the shady bar into the parking lot.
“Eddie,” it came out more like a moan as his lips moved to the skin on your neck.
“Hmm?” You didn’t want him to stop, you never wanted this to stop.
“It’s getting late,” it took every fibre of your being to place your hands on his chest and push him back. You hoped to God he could see the disappointment in your eyes under the flickering neon of the Hideout sign.
“Oh,” hands slipped out from beneath your sweater and landed on your waist. His fingers toyed with the belt loops on your jeans. “You need to get home.”
“I don’t want to,” you really didn’t and Eddie’s mood seemed to lighten at your confession. “But I should. I’m sorry.”
“No, s’fine,” he cleared his throat and loosened his grip on you allowing you to clamber back into the passenger seat. “You live on Vine, right?”
“Yeah,” you felt a little out of breath and you straightened your sweater as he pulled out of the parking lot. You couldn’t figure out why he made you so nervous. You’d been with boys before, popular boys too. But Eddie was different and you weren’t sure why.
The drive was silent for the next couple of minutes, tension thick in the air as you gathered up the courage to make a suggestion. “Eddie?”
“Yeah?” You could see his knuckles whiten against the steering wheel when you said his name.
“If you don’t have anywhere to be,” you drifted off. Snap out of it, just ask him. “Do you want to come in? Everyone will be asleep.”
You could just make out his grin as street lamps flashed passed. “Absolutely.”
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
You told Eddie to park a few houses down, saying you didn’t need to explain to Dustin why his friend’s highly recognisable van was parked out front of your house in the middle of the night.
“My brother’s room is next door so don’t talk too loudly,” you hurried Eddie into your bedroom, softly closing the door behind you and sliding the lock shut. It had taken some begging but your mom finally let you put a lock on your door after Dustin kept recording Saturday Night Live over the top of your tapes of The Love Boat.
The room felt suffocatingly quiet and you were certain Eddie could hear the hammering of your heartbeat, so you moved over to the cassette recorder and chose a tape; the opening notes to More Than This softly played through the speakers. Eddie took a seat on your bed, looking around the room while you twisted the vertical blinds shut and closed the sheer pink curtains.
“For some reason I pictured more posters of Ralph Macchio.”
“They’re all inside my closet,” you kicked off your shoes and sat cross-legged next to him. “Along with my shrine to Thomas Magnum.”
“Is it the moustache that does it for you? Because I’ll tell you know if I grew one I’d look like a 70s porn star.”
“Wouldn’t that be kind of hot?” You moved a little closer to him, your knee pressing against his thigh.
“Have you seen the guys in porn? Definitely not.”
“I think I’ve seen maybe one porno in my entire life. Something where a girl orders a pizza-”
“With extra sausage? Then you’ve seen most of them,” he’d placed his hand on your knee now, slowly inching it up your thigh.
“This is not how I thought my night would go.”
He started to pull back but you grabbed his hand to keep him close. “Are you regretting it?”
You shook your head, your fingers intertwined with his. You wondered if his rings would leave indentations in your skin when he gripped your thighs. “No, not at all.” You took a deep breath, ready to admit to the butterflies that had been sitting in your stomach since you’d left the Hideout. “You just make me nervous.”
Eddie’s eyes widened. “I make you nervous? Princess you terrify me. I’m shaking in my boots here.”
“So we both feel the same way.” You dropped his hand back against your thigh, pushing it slowly between your legs. You still had a pair of thick denim jeans on but Eddie got the message. “Maths states they should cancel each other out. You should kiss me to make sure.”
“If that’s what maths says,” he leant forward and you instinctively fell back, your head hitting the quilted pillow. Eddie was hovering over you, his lips soft and pink about an inch above yours. He dipped lower, brushing against the underside of your jaw, below your ear, and over your cheekbone before he finally pushed your lips apart with his. This kiss felt different from the last, not as flustered or bruising. His tongue moved languidly against yours; it felt like he was trying to memorise the shapes and textures, taking his time and eliciting little gasps when he nibbled and sucked. You lost yourself in the feeling of him, time slowing and the sounds of Brian Ferry’s vocals becoming nothing more than a humming buzz of white noise.
You were normally great at multitasking, but Eddie had left you in a haze. You’d done this a few times before, notable players including the asshole basketball star in your sophomore year and the college kid who’d returned home for the holidays when you were a junior. You’d even slept with Steve a few times over the summer out of sheer boredom, but none of them had made you tingle with electric energy the way Eddie did. You were so focused on the rhythm of the kiss that you hadn’t even realised he’d unzipped your jeans until his fingers pushed your panties aside and dipped between your folds.
“God you’re so wet already,” you squirmed when you felt the pressure of his finger against your clit, a little whine getting stuck in your throat. “Is this okay?”
You nodded wildly, hair falling in front of your eyes.
“Need you to use your words, sweetheart.”
“It’s good Eddie. I need more,” you jerked your hips upward and he obliged by rhythmically rubbing your clit. He could only do so much with his hand down your pants, his movements awkwardly affected by the denim. “Faster.”
“I can’t, your jeans are in the way.”
You huffed, pushing him back so he was sitting on his heels. You pulled off your jeans, frustratingly throwing them to the ground. You ripped off your sweater while you were at it, leaving you only in your panties and your bra. “Better?”
“Your underwear is still in the way,” he sounded genuine but you could see the smug glint in his eye.
“Take off clothes, you’ve got your dirty sneakers on my bed,” you folded your arms across your chest and watched as he appeased you. “Have you got a condom?”
“In my wallet, yeah. But I left it in my van.”
You got up and went to your wardrobe, opening a drawer and tearing a condom from the roll hidden beneath your underwear. You turned around to face Eddie and saw him watching you from the bed. He had made himself comfortable, stretched out on top of your floral quilt, his hands clasped behind his head. Your eyes trailed over his body, taking in the tattoos that painted his chest and arms, the line of dark hair on his pale stomach that disappeared beneath his boxers, to the hard bulge prominent beneath the checked fabric.
You handed him the foil packet. “Hope it’s not too big.”
“Ouch, that hit me right in my ego.”
“Like that’s hard,” he moved across the bed as you slipped below the covers. You watched as he pulled his boxers down, his cock hitting his stomach. He was bigger than you’d expected, and his dick was oddly pretty. His hair was neatly trimmed and coarse curls sat at the base, you imagined they’d provide a delicious friction against your clit. The head of his cock was perfectly rounded too, flushed a deep red and leaking at the tip.
“You’re drooling,” he’d rolled the condom on and had dipped below the covers, his thigh pressed against yours.
You realised your lips were parted and you quickly shut them, frowning. “Am not.” You pulled off your underwear and straddled his lap. His cock pressed against your cunt and you ground down. “Shut up.”
“Just saying I’m not opposed to you blowing me.”
“Not happening,” your hand wrapped around the base of his cock and held it steady against your cunt, lifting your hips up so the tip breached your entrance.
“There’s always next time.”
“In your dreams,” you sank down on his length, his cock stretching your walls exquisitely. When you sat flush against his thighs, you could fill the head nudging at the spongy spot deep inside your core.
“This is better than my dreams, believe me,” he gripped your waist, helping you slide up and down on his length. You rolled your hips, changing the angle and he let out a guttural groan. “Fuck, do that again.”
You arched your back, your hips doing most of the work. You reached down, your hand between both your bodies as you rubbed your clit. Eddie couldn’t take his eyes off the space between you where your bodies met, watching as his cock slipped and disappeared inside you, only to emerge glistening wet before repeating the motions. “God, I can feel you squeezing around me, fuck, princess, keep doing that.”
“Eddie.” He’d replaced his fingers against your clit with his own, his pace was sloppy and desperate but it was just what you needed.
“I’ve been thinking about fucking you since we met. God, I’ve dreamt of your pussy but it’s so much better than I ever imagined. It’s magic, sweetheart. You have a magic pussy, I swear.”
His words sent you over the edge, your legs trembling as your hips stilled against him. Eddie bucked into you a few more times before he too came with a shuddered moan. “Fucking hell.”
“Fucking hell,” he agreed, brushed the hair that had again fallen in front of your eyes behind your ear. “You are a devil woman.”
“Me?”
“Yep," he helped you off his lap, his hand naturally gripping your thigh when you settled onto the mattress next to him. You were pleased to find that his rings did leave little marks against your skin. "Tempting and taunting me with your perfect body. I was an innocent man before I met you.”
Your head fell against his shoulder, watching the rise and fall of his chest. “Innocent? Really?”
“You’re not playing along, you have to play along.”
“Oh sorry,” you cleared your throat. “Now that I’ve put you under my spell I can do whatever I want to you.”
“No, evil sorceress, please don’t use me to satiate your sexual desires. I won’t be a part of your satanic bidding, for I’m just a humble, God fearing farm boy.”
“How much backstory do you have for this character?”
“Too much. We’ll work on it. Get you a pair of devil horns and really flesh it out.”
Eddie stayed for a while, talking to you in hushed whispers long after both sides of the cassette had been played. He ended up crawling through your window just as the sky began to lighten.
“You look tired, honey. What time did you get in last night?” Your mom poured coffee into her mug, frowning at you.
“Not too late,” you pushed cereal around your bowl. “We got sidetracked by a girl who used to be on the cheer team and when I realised the time it was too late to call.”
“Next time, call anyway. It makes me feel better knowing you’re okay,” she patted your shoulder, adjusting the bow on your ponytail. “I hope you had a good time, you need to have fun while you’re still young.”
“I’m sure she had a blast,” Dustin smirked, his eyebrows wiggling. You shot him a questioning look but ignored him like you did most mornings. Once your mom had left the kitchen, Dustin leant across the table. “So I heard something funny last night.”
You kept your expression as neutral as possible but internally you were cringing. “Oh yeah? What did you hear?”
“Kind of sounded like someone falling out a window at 5am.”
“Wow, that’s so weird. Crazy what you hear early in the morning.”
“You had a boy over,” Dustin laughed in a sing-song voice.
You clapped your hand over his mouth and looked wildly around for any indication that your mother was in ear shot. “Shut up, virgin.” His brows furrowed and your expression faltered, you wanted him to be quiet but you hadn’t meant to be mean about it. “Sorry, low blow.”
“You know Suzie is waiting till marriage.”
“Doesn’t help that she’s in Utah.”
Dustin ignored you. “So, who’s the mystery man?”
“Just some guy. Probably won’t see him again.”
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
After the first time, sneaking around with Eddie became your new favourite hobby. It became a normal part of your day to steal kisses in mop closets, or find hastily written notes stuffed in your locker giving you compliments or asking you to meet him in the woods during your next free period.
What started out as a hot and heavy romance filled with make out sessions and Eddie almost breaking his neck sneaking out of your window slowly turned into movie nights and pancake dates at the diner off I-69. During one such night where Eddie had finally caved to watching Romancing The Stone, he’d introduced you to Uncle Wayne as his girlfriend.
“Girlfriend? When did that happen?” You’d asked in an attempt at a nonchalant tone. Underneath the blanket your heart was pounding.
“A few weeks ago. I figured when you started coming ‘round to watch movies and you weren’t trying to get in my pants there was something more to this than just sex.” He grabbed a handful of popcorn from the bowl on your lap. “Is that okay with you?”
“Yeah. I’m okay with that.”
Since you now had a boyfriend, you wanted to go out and do things on a Saturday night. You hadn’t planned for your night to be spent chaperoning your brother while he hosted Hellfire in the basement, but your mom didn’t trust a group of teenage boys to behave. She had a singles mixer in Indy and wouldn’t be back until tomorrow so she’d left you, the responsible older sister, in charge. At least that meant Eddie was around, even if he’d be spending his evening playing DnD with your younger brother instead of playing adventurer and tavern wench with you in your bedroom.
“What kind of pizza do you guys want?” You didn’t bother descending the steps instead choosing to poke your head around the basement door and call down the stairs.
“Pepperoni.”
“Extra sausage!” You could guess who called that one out.
“Cheese.”
“Mushroom.”
“Supreme.”
You sighed, descending a few steps so you could see the boys sitting around the table. “I’m going to need a straight answer, it doesn’t work if you just shout different toppings at me.” You were wearing skimpy pyjama shorts and you could feel the boys’ eyes creeping up your bare legs. When you scanned the table Mike and Gareth quickly looked away, their necks flushed red at being caught gawking, but Eddie just smirked, his eyes still stuck on you and his tongue tracing his bottom lip.
“Get two pepperoni, one cheese, and one supreme,” Dustin looked around the table for approval, which he got in the form of nods. “No one wants mushroom pizza, Jeff.”
The problem with Dustin hosting Hellfire was that they’d drank all your soda. You had your head stuck in the fridge trying to find a can of something fizzy to drink when you felt a smack against your ass.
You jumped, hitting your head on the shelf in the fridge. “Jesus Christ.”
“Nope, just me,” you spun around to see Eddie grinning playfully at you. When you frowned, hand pressed against where you’d hit your head, he pouted. “Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you but your ass was right there.” He pulled you against him by your hips, smoothing your hair flat and pressing a sweet kiss to the top of your head. “There, all better.”
You smiled into his chest, the sharp pain had suddenly disappeared. “What do you want, idiot?”
“Just came to see what the plan is tonight since your mom is away.”
“I think Lucas and Mike are staying over. Might be a little risky.”
“No biggie, I’ll park in the next street and sneak in through your window. Risky is hot.”
“I forgot danger turns you on." You kissed his cheek. "Pretty sure Gareth was checking me out when I came downstairs.”
“Have you seen these shorts you’re wearing? Almost made me cream my pants, Jesus H. Christ.” His hands cupped your ass and squeezed the flesh. “So distracting, you’re throwing me off my game.”
“Since when do you have game?”
“Pshaw, I have game. Got you to sleep with me, didn’t I?”
“But you love me.”
“Mmm, I do.”
Your skin felt like it had been lit on fire. He loves you. You hadn’t said those words to each other yet. It had only been a couple of months since you’d started seeing each other. You thought you felt something like love for him, but you weren't sure. You’d been feeling something deep, something that pulled at your heartstrings, something that made you feel safe.
You pulled back to look at him, searching his eyes for any hint of regret. Maybe he’d misspoke, maybe he was just playing along.
“I do love you,” his hand slipped beneath your sweater and stroked the skin on your lower back, it was like he was grounding himself to the moment. “You don’t have to say it back if you’re not ready.”
“I am ready,” you nodded, your hand cupping his cheek. “I love you too, Eddie.”
He dipped his head down to reach your mouth, his lips slotting perfectly against yours. You let out a sigh, relaxing into his body as he sat you on the kitchen counter. Your legs wrapped around his thighs pulling him closer until you could feel a growing hardness pressing between your legs.
“Ew, ew, ew,” your younger brother’s voice shattered your reverie. Your stomach dropped and it felt as if you were plummeting back to earth. Your head shot back and you saw Dustin, alongside the rest of the Hellfire gang standing inside the kitchen. “What the fuck?!”
You went to pull your body away but Eddie’s hand on your back kept you in place. “Relax, Dustin,” he spoke steadily, but you noticed his pupils were still blown and he had a dreamy sort of calmness to his expression.
“Relax? You’re devouring my sister. We eat here! What’s going on?”
You hopped down from the counter but stayed close to Eddie’s side, his arm still tightly wrapped around your waist. “We’re dating. We have been for a while.”
“Oh my god,” realisation hit Dustin like a semi truck. “He’s the guy who’s been sneaking into your room at night? She’s the hot chick you’ve been seeing?”
You lightly hit Eddie’s shoulder, “you told them? What did you say?”
Eddie winced, “not a lot.”
“You said you had sex at Lover’s Lake last week!”
You swatted his chest, a little harder this time. “Eddie, oh my god, why would you tell them that.”
Gareth laughed, “ha! We totally thought you’d made that up, that’s awesome.”
Eddie waved his hand dramatically, “see I told you it was cool!” At Dustin’s look of horror he frowned. “I’m sorry, we didn’t think you’d find out this way.”
“We were going to tell you,” you nodded. It was a flat out lie you definitely weren’t planning on telling Dustin anytime soon but he didn’t need to know that.
“When? When I’m bailing you out for public indecency?”
He was not letting this go, you had to pull out the big guns. “Eddie’s coming over for dinner tomorrow. I’m going to introduce him to mom.”
“Oh,” Dustin’s expression changed. He knew you must be serious if you were introducing Eddie to mom, you’d never introduced a boyfriend to your mom before.
“I am?” You stomped on Eddie’s foot and he got the message, “yes, I mean I am. Super excited.”
“And he’s staying over tonight,” you added. Eddie would just have to deal without the sexy addition of risk. You’d much prefer to have him leave via the front door than falling out the window again.
“But they’re staying over tonight,” Dustin gestured to Mike and Lucas.
“And we do not need to hear your weird sex noises,” Lucas chimed in from the sidelines, Mike nodding.
Your eyes widened, “excuse me?”
“Our sex noises are not weird,” Eddie said taking an odd amount of offense to the comment.
“Not what I was going to say, babe. We’re not going to have sex with you lot down the hall.”
“We’re not?” Eddie asked.
At the same time Dustin snidely remarked, “never stopped you before.”
“Dustin, please be cool about this. I know he’s your friend, but we like each other a lot.”
“Yeah, man. Like a lot, a lot.”
Dustin looked between you two, noticing how you’d never pulled apart from each other. “Fine. This is going to take some getting used to but okay. But if you hurt him,” you raised your eyebrows at Dustin, waiting for him to explain how he would exact his revenge on Eddie for hurting his precious older sister, but Eddie was watching you. Your brain reset. He’d said if you hurt him.
You blinked. “Wait, if I hurt him? What about if he hurts me?”
“You’ll be fine,” Dustin brushed off your concern. “Eddie, however, would never recover if you broke his heart.”
“It’s true princess. I would forever be a broken man.” He brought your hand up to his lips and placed a chaste kiss to the skin.
You sighed in defeat but still squeezed his hand. “Don’t worry, I plan on keeping your heart safe for a very long time.”

It had been almost 10 years to the day that Eddie Munson had left town. Five years since Eddie had stuck his middle finger up to Hawkins and left everyone and everything behind. It had been 8 years since Corroded Coffin took off and started touring the world. You were 13 when Eddie left, your brother - arguably Eddie’s biggest fan - was 15. The rockstar came back to visit often, opting to stay with your family rather than an empty hotel. Your mom cooked elaborate dinners when he was in town and Eddie would always bring you and Dustin souvenirs from his travels around the world. Eddie was an honorary member of the Henderson clan, but the looks you gave him were always more longing than that of the ‘annoying little sister’. Dustin figured you had a little crush, and that's all you chalked it up to be as well. But even once Eddie would inevitably leave again, you felt your heart shatter. As you got older, you let your fleeting feelings take a back burner as you had casual boyfriends. You hated to admit it, but even when they were around, your mind would wander to Eddie and what he would feel like between your thighs instead of your boy toy for the month.
Eddie hadn’t been shy in sharing his admiration for you, especially when you graduated and even more so when you started going to the bars with Dustin and his friends. Last time he was in town, the three of you had blundered home drunk from the Hideout. Your arms wrapped around his neck and you slapped a kiss onto his cheek.
“I’m happy you’re here, Eddie.” He looked into your glassy eyes with admiration. He kissed you back on your cheek. He smelt of weed and whiskey, but it was home. You felt like you belonged in his arms and the way he held you made you believe he felt the same way. You wanted to kiss him so badly, but your moment was interrupted when Dustin clammored back to the two of you, beers clanging in his hands. There had been stolen glances since then, but never the same moment. That was two whole years ago, and you hadn’t seen him since your last goodbye a few short weeks after.
-
You stared at your reflection in the mirror, a haze of hairspray clouding your vision. You ran your finger across your bottom lip, smudging away any rogue pink stain from your lip liner. Your lashes were fanned out and your eyes had the perfect dusting of glitter for them to pop. Your heart was beating out of your chest with excitement. Dustin’s old Corroded Coffin shirt hung across your shoulders and your legs were showcased effortlessly with a pair of ripped shorts. You were unnaturally excited, not having seen one of your favorite people in the world for unnaturally too long. When Eddie hadn’t been calling as often, but your heart skipped a beat when you saw 5 tickets for Eddie’s Hideout Halloween concert and a note from the rockstar, you couldn’t help but squeal in excitement. Your smile faltered when you looked at the names on the guestlist details in the letter: Dustin Henderson +1, Robin Buckley, and lastly your name scribbled with a +1 beside it. Eddie thought you would have a boyfriend or at least a date that would accompany you. You opted to invite your friend Chrissy, instead of your new boyfriend in hopes to send a message.
Dustin, Suzy, Chrissy and Robin filed into your family station wagon and you made the short trek across town. Dustin and Suzy had gone as some interpretations of Labyrinth characters. Robin wore her Camp Crystal Lake T-shirt she had gotten from the Goodwill and Chrissy had slipped into her old cheerleading uniform. You opted not to wear any halloween costumes, instead choosing to put on an outfit to highlight your best assets. You crowded into the bustling bar, feeling a warm fuzz in your chest from the shots you had taken with Suzy and Robin. You pushed your way to the front of the busy stage. The lights from the stage filled you with more anticipation. The boys had done their sound check before you arrived - you normally were invited to sound check and to hang out with the band, but apparently they wanted to keep their new sets a secret - so you bounced on your feet, waiting for the empty space to be filled with cheering, buzzing of amps and the thrash of guitar.
-
The music ran through you like electricity. You danced and jumped and sang along to every song. Eddie’s eyes pierced through yours as he sang the band’s idea of a slower love song, your wide grin made Eddie smirk and blush. In a sea of people, you were the only set of eyes he could connect to; your presence was magnetic and he had forgotten how much he had truly missed you. You had lost the plumpness in your cheeks and your hips swayed gracefully. You were no longer Dustin’s cute little sister, and Eddie finally felt like he could finally act on his most suppressed desires, and he could tell that you were encouraging him to. He poured this desire into his music. Your cohort of friends whooped and screamed at the end of the show, showing Eddie, Gareth, Jeff and Drew the love and appreciation louder than anyone else in the swelling crowd.
The five of you waited by the front of the stage until a burly man in a tight black T-shirt approached you from the stage. He had his sunglasses on and a mean snarl fastened to his face.
“Eddie wants to see all of you in the green room. Follow me.” The man gave you no time to ask questions, but you all hauled yourselves onto the stage and followed him backstage and down a dimly lit hallway. You giggled. Even Eddie’s wildly successful band couldn’t mask the Hideout for what it really was: a dump. The security guard stopped in the middle of the hallway and gestured to the door on your left. One by one, all of your friends filed in, but you felt a meaty grip on your shoulder.
“Not you, you follow me.” the guard ordered. None of your people had noticed your swift exit. You were led into the room across the hall. The guard opened the door up for you and you were hurried into the open door. It was closed the second you breached the doorway and you were met with a stark smell of weed and leather couches dimly lit with assorted lamps (that had undoubtedly been retrieved from the Hawkins dump). A familiar head of damp curls and a shit eating grin greeted you, standing from one of the leather couches.
“Hey, sweetheart.” His voice was low, but the excitement on his face was palpable. Your heart somersaulted as you lunged into his arms.
“Missed you, Ed.” you muffled into his shirt.
“Likewise, sweets.” His hands migrated to your waist and he had to restrain himself from grabbing lower or harder. His cool was rapidly slipping. You looked up at him with your big doe eyes. He couldn’t deny that he had fucked his own fist thinking about your eyes looking up at him like that between his own thighs. You pulled away from him like you could sense the burning hot need inside of him. Eddie’s face fell into a frown of want. You were wrapped around his finger already.
“Where is every-” You couldn’t finish your sentence and Eddie had you up against the wall, his lips crashed onto yours. You let out a surprised moan as your lips frantically tried to keep up with Eddie’s assault. You craned your neck up to let Eddie deepen the kiss. With matching moans, you opened your mouth to let Eddie’s tongue explore you. What you wouldn’t give to feel his tongue explore elsewhere…
Eddie pulled away from you with a smack and studied your face, searching for any kind of hesitation. What he found instead was your normally bright eyes dark with lust, your lips were swollen and you bit down hard on your lip. Eddie moaned at the sight of you.
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do this.” Eddie cooed into your neck as he began another assault on your clavicle. He sucked hard onto you and when you hissed out in pain, he ran his tongue across the throbbing bruise to soothe it.
“Eddie…” you huffed. “I-I’ve wanted you since I could remember.”
“Oh yeah?” Eddie sneered as he took off his own merch from your body. “That why you brought Chrissy and not some boy, huh? You got a boyfriend I should be worried about?” He spoke into your skin, kissing and licking around the edge of your bra. The contact of your bare back onto the brick wall, along with Eddie’s mouth on you sent goosebumps all over your body. You reached down to his belt buckle to free him from the layer that keeps you from him.
“So what if I do?” you shoot back. “You gonna stop this and not fuck me?” Eddie let out a dark chuckle as you finally freed him from the confines of his jeans. His head tilted back and you got a glimpse of the rockstar’s delicious neck. It was your turn to begin a barrage of hickies from his pulse point down to his Adam's apple. He hissed as your hands traced over his hardening cock in his boxers. He pushed himself against you, pressing you further into the wall.
“Nah sweets. Just wanna know if I’m gonna steal you away from some poor fuck or not.” Eddie whispered in your ear. “I heard that once you fuck a rockstar, nothing else is the same. So I’m gonna make you so cockdrunk that you’re only going to want me. That sound good, babe? You wanna fuck a rockstar?” You violently shook your head as Eddie grabbed your wrist and sat himself down on the couch behind you. You slotted yourself between his legs on the floor, your arms caging his body onto the couch.
“Show me how bad you want it, doll. How bad have you wanted me to fuck you, huh?” The man snided. The lines of friendship and the days of being friends had vanished before the two of you, there was no going back and you couldn’t wait to show Eddie how ‘all or nothing’ you could be.
Eddie’s cock now stood at full attention, making a hard tent in his boxers. He pulled his jeans off of his slender hips and lifted his shirt over his head. You hooked your fingers under the band of his boxers and pulled down, revealing the most beautiful cock you had ever seen.
Maybe it was because it was Eddie’s or maybe it really was that impressively big, but your mouth watered as soon as he exposed himself. His cock was exceptionally long and girthy, a vein led you from his heavy balls all the way to his pink leaking tip. You licked your lips as you lined your mouth up with Eddie’s cock. You tease him with small kitten licks to his tip, tasting his salty precum and humming in satisfaction. Eddie let out a guttural moan as you sink your mouth all the way to the hilt, breathing out your nose to prevent yourself from gagging. Eddie’s big brown eyes rolled to the back of his head.
“Yeah, doll. That’s a good girl. You’re my good girl.” You hummed into him and you felt his legs shake at the vibrations.
“Fuck with a mouth like yours, I’ll make you famous. You can have anything you fucking want” Eddie blabbed. “Anything for my girl - fuuuuuck you look so good with my cock in your mouth. I knew you would. Fuck, I got myself off to thinking about your lips around my cock.” You couldn’t help but roll your eyes back at the thought of you being Eddie’s girl that he could have any girl in the world and he had still chosen you. You wanted to show him how much you appreciate him choosing you - boring old you from Hawkins, Indiana when he could have models, actresses, other musicians. You wanted to pinch yourself. You guided Eddie’s hands into your hair and he pulled hard.
“Fuck, my baby like being used as a little fuck toy? Let me fuck that pretty face of yours and ruin that makeup you got on” Eddie chuckled. He pulled your mouth all the way off of his dick, you unintentionally drooled all over him at the loss of contact; but it wasn’t for long, because Eddie slammed back into you, your throat screaming at him for stretching you out. Your eyes stung with tears and Eddie pulled you all the way off and thrust back into your mouth. Eddie gripped you tightly and thrust into your face, probing the back of your throat until you gagged.
“Jesus fuck, you’re the best little plaything I’ve had. You’re gonna make me cum” the rockstar cooed. His chest was heaving violently and you could feel his cock twitching inside of you. He grabbed your cheeks and pounded into your mouth at an unrelenting pace. You felt as if you were going to pass out from the lack of oxygen but suddenly he paused, his cock twitching and you felt hot and salty ropes of cum coat the back of your throat. You gagged on him, hitting Eddie with another wave of intense pleasure. He pulled himself out of your mouth and stood you up with him. He grabbed at your waist and lunged in to kiss you. Your kisses had minimal feeling but lust. You felt like you were going to combust if you didn’t feel his dick twitch around your soaked pussy. Eddie pushed you into the wall yet again and expertly removed your shorts. His hand went straight to your core and you wrapped your leg around his waist to give him better access. He cupped and rubbed at you, pulling whimper after moan and gasp out of you. The friction was delicious but you needed more, you needed all of him. You needed to give him all of you.
“You’re a needy girl, huh doll? You’ve been waiting for this haven’t you. Tell me how long,” You were putty in his hands. His husky voice sent shivers down your spine and tightened the forming knot in your abdomen.
“I’ve been waiting for longer than I’d like to admit, Eddie.” Your desperate eyes bored into his. You needed to show him how serious you were about it. Eddie stuck his fingers into you, a shit eating grin spreading on his face. He chuckled as you writhed beneath him, his fingers stretching you out expertly.
“Yeah, baby had a crush on me since you were a girl huh? Wanted me since you couldn’t have me?” You screwed your eyes shut as Eddie curled his fingers inside of you. You mouthed a silent ‘yes’, afraid that if you spoke you would disintegrate into nothing. You were so hot, the friction too much. You wanted to cry and beg Eddie to take you and make you feel good, but you knew that your pleas would fall on deaf ears. The man was ready to toy with you. You knew that you would be disposable to you, he could have anyone he wanted, but he was here with you.
“Well doll… I’ll tell you something” he added another finger into your throbbing hole and you clenched down on him. He leaned in so his stubble was brushing against your cheek and his breath fanned down your neck. “I’ve wanted you for a fucking long time.” Your breath hitched in your throat as Eddie pulled back to lock eyes with you. His chocolate irises were still dark with lust, but there was a glint of something more, something you found familiar in your own stare: longing.
Eddie pulled his fingers out of you and popped them in his mouth with a humm. He pushed you harder up against the wall by your hips, attaching his mouth to yours again. You wrapped both of your legs around his lithe waist. He grabbed his still-hard cock and ran it through your wet folds. You both hiss at the contact, matching desperation to feel the other fully. Eddie slowly sheathed himself in you, letting you get used to the stretch of him. You’ve navigated your way through many sexual encounters, but Eddie most definitely was the biggest, and quickly proved to be the most skilled. A twang of jealousy panged your heart as you pondered how he got so good at making you feel good…
All thoughts were muddled when Eddie pulled out of you and thrust back in. His thick tip hit your G-spot and your legs shook. You knew you weren’t going to last long. Eddie began his relenting pace, his eyes fixed to where your two bodies met.
“Fuck, this pussy was made for me baby. You’re so tight.”
“F-fuck Eddie you feel so good.” Eddie thrusted harder at your praise.
“Gonna wreck this pussy for that little boyfriend of yours. Make you so drunk on my cock that you’re gonna leave and dump him. You gonna leave that boy so you can be my plaything, doll?” You nodded your head in agreement. You couldn’t go back to Andy after this. Every other guy was now ruined thanks to Eddie. The man’s hips snapped at an unrelenting pace.
“Gonna fuck all those thoughts out of that pretty head. All you’re gonna think is me.” Eddie gritted his teeth. He wanted to screw his eyes shut to ground himself, but he couldn’t risk not watching you fall apart on him. He was screwing into you so fast you had to bite on your lip to prevent yourself from screaming out in ecstacy.
Eddie knew you were close. You were clenching down on him like a vice, your breath hitched and your chest heaved so hard he thought your ribs were going to bust out of your chest. Your chant of pleas and praises began. Eddie. Eddie. Eddie.
“Yeah baby, tell me who this pussy belongs to. Say my name.”
They came out as muffled screams as you tried to contain the waves of pleasure wracking your body. Your beautiful face twisted at the power of your climax. Eddie suckled small hickies onto your shoulders to ease you out of your trance. When your chest ceased heaving and your eyes fluttered open, Eddie pulled himself completely out of you - too overstimulated to cum again. He just wanted to wrap his arms around you. He bent down and grabbed your shorts and shirt as you placed your panties back in the proper position. Eddie felt that if he looked at your doe eyes he would fall apart in front of you, so he handed you your shorts, turned his body away from yours and offered a quiet ‘you should go back to the other dressing room and I’ll follow behind you in a couple minutes’. Your face contorted from satisfaction and adoration to confusion and hurt. You scoffed and began to walk to the door.
“Nice, Eddie. Nice to know that this was just a quick fuck for you.” You spat, your venom piercing Eddie in the heart. He didn’t want to hurt you, far from it. But you were dangerous, uncharted territory - he didn’t know how to navigate his feelings for you. He lunged at your arm that was holding the handle of the old metal door. You both stared at each other - him with eyes full of sorrow, and yours full of anger. He cautiously pulled his hands up to cup your face and even though you flinched, you let him touch you and pull you into him.
When it was the only sensation to focus on, you concluded that Eddie had the softest lips. They moved expertly against you because he was gentle and doting and wanted to pour every bit of adoration he had for you into it. With his kiss he told you that what he said wasn’t a lie, that he was scared of how much he liked you, how he felt like he could fall in love with you someday. You pulled away with tears in your eyes and your lower lip trembled. Eddie ran his thumb across it.
“Go, and let’s talk about this later. Right now the last thing we need is your brother worrying about you.” Eddie sighed. You nodded your head slowly in understanding. You opened the door and stepped into the fluorescent hallway. With one last longing look at the rockstar, you retreated across the hallway and were gone with the closing of Eddie’s door. The metalhead leaned against the door and took a pull at his curly locks. You really were going to be the death of him… either you or Dustin for fucking his sister - fuck! For being in love with his sister.
“Where the fuck were you?” Dustin snapped when you entered the stuffy room.
“Bathroom” you dismissed as you skipped over to Eddie’s bandmates to give them hugs and congratulate on the show. Dustin eyed you suspiciously. Something seemed off. You were gone for 10 minutes. He decided to try to push the thought to the back of his mind, but anger bubbled to the surface when Eddie walked in shortly after you, sporting new hickies that definitely weren’t there during the show. His eyes flicked between the two of you and he noticed your own marks threatening to peek out of the shoulder of your t-shirt.
“Eddie!” Dustin boomed. Eddie looked like a deer in headlights as his eyes flash from Dustin’s to yours.
“Missed you buddy?”
Two months later:
You packed your two small duffel bags and hugged your brother and your friends goodbye. Since Eddie’s show, he has called to talk to you almost every night. He came back for Christmas and New Years. You both told your mother about your budding relationship and although she was concerned about the 7 years between the two of you, she ultimately was relieved that you weren’t hanging out with the loser boys you used to bring home. On New Years Eddie had asked you to go on tour with the band after you shared your midnight kiss. You excitedly agreed, and two weeks later, you were packing your bags to head to the private hangar of the Indianapolis International Airport. The burly security guard picked you up in a sleek black cadillac and dropped you to the biggest private jet you had ever seen. Security man grabbed your bags for you and you trotted up the stairs to the jet. Your metalhead met you at the cockpit with a wide smile and a kiss. You both got comfortable on one of the leather couches behind rows of leather plane seats. There was champagne waiting for you. Eddie handed you a flute and you cheersed.
“Ready to join the mile high club?”

☟ Continue below the fold ☟
Graduation practice was held inside the school gym. You'd been there for an hour at least, waiting for it to start and then going through the list of names to get everyone in the right seat and spot in line. They were on F now. Your leg bounced where you sat, but from boredom, not from nerves. While everyone else was panicking about who they would have to sit next to for the entire ceremony, you knew who you would be next to—and you were happy with it. It was the same boy you were already sitting next to: Steve Harrington.
It was a little weird, you thought, that it all worked out so perfectly. That there were no other Hs separating Harrington and Henderson. That Harrington was the one you had gotten so close to over the past four years, but particularly close to in the last semester alone.
The vice principle got through the Fs and into the Gs. Soon.
"You alright?" he asked you, seeing your bouncing leg.
You nodded. "Just impatient."
Steve smirked, a signature King Steve smirk he hadn't quite shaken. "Got somewhere to be, Henderson?"
"I have to pick up Dustin from Mike's, they all had a sleepover last night. Not that Dustin minds staying over a little longer, but Mom does. She doesn't like him being out of her sight for too long these days."
Steve's eyes went glassy, like they did when he thought about what happened that night for a little too long. "Yeah, well... Can't blame her for that one."
"I don't," you said. "Not when Dustin still has nightmares."
Shock flickered across his face. He opened his mouth but then—
"STEVE HARRINGTON!"
He stood, grinning down at you. "See you in a minute."
You gave him a tiny wave goodbye as he walked away and waited a second for your own name to be called. The vice principle watched Steve take his seat, then looked down at his list.
"WILLIAM HARGROVE!"
Your heart stopped. What? Shit. You'd forgotten about Billy. You bit back a groan, glancing around the gym to try and spot him. There was no movement.
Of course you'd forgotten about Billy—he wasn't even here. Not to mention, he hadn't been here for eleven years. It had just been you and Steve next to each other for a solid eleven years. Steve on one side of you, and his (former) best friend Tommy on the other. Tommy had always been pissed that you separated them, but Steve had never minded, and he certainly didn't now.
"Not here today?" the vice principle said. "Alright, the next student should leave the seat next to Steve open for him." He looked back down at his list and called your name.
You walked to your spot—next to the empty seat—as if in a trance. You sat and looked over at Steve, who looked just a blindsided as you.
Your gaze dropped to Billy's empty seat. "But..."
For some reason, it felt like a betrayal. It felt like the world was ending.
You're overreacting, you told yourself. Just calm down.
But you had been next to Steve for eleven years. Every roll call they organized you by graduating class; every assembly; every Department of Education required testing. You had been in the seat next to Steve for your PSATs and SATs, stealing glances to find him sitting with his eyes huge, not a thought in his head, and trying so hard not to giggle. Then laughing about it after, when the proctors let you all leave, and the two of you exchanging a knowing look the moment you left the classroom.
Over time, especially after the demodogs, Steve grew to be something like your best friend, although, if asked, you'd probably say Nancy was your best friend. You'd grown up with her, too, when Dustin spent the night at Mike's.
(Which made you feel slightly like a traitor when, after all that had happened between her and Steve, you couldn't help but tolerate him enough to like him.)
But you also knew what happened that night in the Byers' house. You knew Billy and Steve had gotten into a fight bad enough to knock Steve unconscious and leave him banged up and bloody. You knew Billy hated him more than ever after that, even though it had been Max who finally knocked Billy out, and you knew it was the promise Max extracted from Billy that kept him from trying to finish the fight with Steve "properly."
So you knew that the look on Steve's face was not just from being separated after eleven years. You knew it was also from terrible fear, overwhelming fear.
The vice principle had gotten to the Js. You hadn't heard any of them, hadn't even noticed Tommy H. sit next to you. You just stared at that empty seat where Billy should have been—where you should have been.
~❊~
You considered yourself fond of Steve Harrington.
He'd saved your brother's life, after all, and the lives of Dustin's friends. Dustin had wasted no time in telling you just how great his new hero was, despite the fact that he was falling asleep in the back of the car when you'd rushed to Steve's house to pick him up, late at night.
"And he took his bat—the one I told you about, with all the nails, that one—and he just started bashing with it. And then, and then, and then, when the demodog got on the roof of the bus, he pushed us away so it couldn't kill us!" He smiled sleepily in the back, visible in your rearview mirror. "You shoulda been there. You shoulda seen it! He was awesome, just...just so awesome... So bitchin'."
You would have reprimanded him for his language (even though it wasn't going to stop him), but he was already asleep, without even finishing his story.
Had it surprised you? A little bit. The King Steve you had known was nothing like the Steve in Dustin's story, but you didn't doubt Dustin. You'd seen a change in Steve the past semester or so. But you'd sat next to him for eleven years, gotten to see a side of him that he didn't let the rest of the school see. And when you'd gone to pick up Dustin, the boy before you was deserving of your sudden fondness for him.
"Hey," he said, greeting you from where he leaned against his car, next to the open door revealing Dustin in the back. "I would have waited for you at the Byers', but I know this is closer, and it's late, so—"
Dustin shouted your name, hopped out of the car, and ran to you, hugging your legs tightly. He'd pretended to be fine when Steve called, but you could tell he was terrified and glad the whole thing was over from how tightly he hugged you.
You looked up at Steve, leaning down just enough to wrap your arms around Dustin's shoulders. "I can't thank you enough, Steve, really." He waved away your thanks, but you talked over him. "Seriously, Steve. Thank you. If anything had happened to him, I would've..." You looked down at Dustin, at a loss for words. "I don't know what I would've done."
"Yeah. Just..." Steve shrugged. He seemed embarrassed to be standing at his car, giving back your brother like two divorced parents and their child. "He needed help and...I was around."
You prodded Dustin toward the car. "Go get in the car. The back, I've got too much stuff in the passenger seat."
He nodded, stifling a yawn and heading to the car without protest.
You looked back at Steve. "Thank you. Again."
Steve nodded, his eyes locked on yours. "Any time."
Without really realizing it, you closed the distance between you and Steve and threw your arms around him, squeezing him tightly and trying not to cry into his shoulder. He stood frozen for a moment, but then his arms came around you and squeezed. For some reason, you remembered he was dating Nancy Wheeler at that exact moment.
"Hey..." His voice was impossibly soft. "Hey, it's okay. He's okay. They're all okay."
You pulled away from him, sniffling and wiping your eyes. "I... I'm sorry. I don't know why I..." You shook your head. "Long, hard day, I guess."
"Don't worry about it," he said, in a tone so gentle and kind that you didn't.
So yes—you were fond of Steve, and that fondness grew when he visited more and more and more often to visit Dustin, or take him somewhere when you couldn't, and you learned through Dustin's endless chattering that Steve and Nancy had broken up a while ago, so you felt a little less guilty about the hug.
You considered Steve your best friend. You might have considered him more than that, if not for your friendship with Nancy.
(Although, did that really matter, when she was happy with Jonathan and comfortably over Steve?)
But you were far less fond of Billy Hargrove.
In fact, you were quite positive that you despised Billy Hargrove.
Even before knowing what he had done to Steve, to your brother and his friends, you had hated him. You had seen him antagonize everyone, from the poor, already outcast nerds, to the popular clique like Steve. Everybody suffered at the hands of Billy, one way or another. Even Max—or, perhaps, especially Max.
Regardless, you hated Billy. And now you had to sit between him and Tommy H, instead of next to your best friend? God, these were going to be a rough couple of hours.
~❊~
On your way out of the gym, you found Steve waiting for you at the door.
"I know you've gotta go pick up Dustin, but after that, do you wanna—"
"Steve, I will do anything you want as long as you let me vent. I can't believe I'm stuck next to Billy Hargrove," you complained.
He snorted. "Yeah, believe me, you're not alone there. Jesus, I wanna punch him again."
"Hey." You put a hand on his chest, stopping him. "Don't start anything you can't finish."
Steve brushed you off and kept walking. "I didn't say I was going to, just that I want to. And, believe me, I really, really want to."
"We'll just ask Max to do it."
He groaned. "Don't remind me that I needed a twelve-year-old to fight my battles for me."
"She's thirteen." Steve gave you a look. You giggled. "Alright, alright. I'll leave you alone."
He pushed the front door of the school open and held it for you, following you out. "Okay, so, you need to vent, I want to go out—milkshakes later?"
"Yes, please," you nearly groaned. "But you do realize Dustin is going to want to come, right?"
Steve rolled his eyes. "You don't have to tell him. Just...bring him home and I'll pick you up at one?"
You rolled your eyes back at him. "The instant you show up at our door, Dustin's Steve-senses are going to tingle and he's going to hop in the front seat before I can. He's practically attached at the hip to you."
Steve laughed. "You have a point there. Alright, fine—Dustin, too."
You split away from him to head to your car, only for him to follow you. You realized he'd parked next to you. "We'll meet you at Benny's!" you said, getting into the front seat. He nodded slowly and waved you off. You returned the wave and left the school parking lot behind.
It was only after Steve was just a figure in your rearview mirror that it dawned on you he'd phrased the whole thing differently from just a regular hang-out with the group.
"But after that—"
"I want to go out."
You glanced back out your window, not daring to identify meaning of the twist of anticipation in your chest.
~❊~
Dustin slurped loudly on his almost-finished milkshake. You and Steve, who were only halfway through your own milkshakes, made eye contact over your glasses and giggled.
Your little brother looked up from his glass. "What? What's funny?"
"Nothing," the two of you said in unison. You glanced back up at him and your stomach did flips. The expression on his face looked like your fondness felt. It looked like the face Nancy had described to you, back when she was still sort-of in love with Steve—before Barb died, and before the Upside Down.
You and Nancy lay spread out on her bed, your legs hanging over the end of her bed, her feet curled up behind her, her knees at her pillows. Your hears were right next to each other, turned toward each other so you could see the huge smile on Nancy's face.
She was half an hour deep into telling you about her date with Steve. "And he just...he had this look on his face, you know? Like there was nothing else that mattered. Like I was the only thing left in the world. The only girl left." Without even realizing it, she had brought her hand up to her hair, curling it in her fingers. "His eyes, they were so...so soft and so open. And his hair was falling into his face, he'd been blowing it out of his eyes for hours, it was so cute, ridiculously cute, but he stopped trying to get it out of his face when I giggled at him."
You giggled at her. "You are so in love with him, admit it!"
Her grin got impossibly bigger. "That...that's the thing. I think he wanted to say it to me."
Your eyes widened. "He was gonna tell you he loved you?!"
"I think so," she whispered. "But then the door opened, and it was loud, rowdy teenagers, so we just glanced over at them and started to laugh and—" She giggled. "And then it was gone. But it was there. He wanted to say it to me." She paused and, in a whisper, added, "And I think I wanted to say it back."
You shrieked with joy, reaching for her and tickling. "Nance, oh my God!"
She giggled, batting her hands away. "Stop it, stop it, I can't breathe!"
"Have you told Barb yet?"
Nancy's mood darkened a tad too much for your liking. "I don't think she'd like it. She's not a...huge fan of Steve."
"Oh, come on, if you're happy, she'll be happy for you, right?"
Nancy rubbed her arms. "I don't know. I hope so?"
"Just tell her, Nance, she'll be okay. She'll get it." You grinned at her again. "Oh my God, I can't believe it, you're in love with Steve Harrington!"
You tore your eyes away from Steve, looking back down at the milkshake he had insisted on buying for you.
"Do you think they're going to say our middle names when we graduate?"
"Huh?" You looked up. That expression of Steve's was gone. "Our middle names?"
He shrugged. "Yeah. You know, we're just walking up and they're saying our whole names."
You blinked at him.
"They're supposed to," Dustin said beside you. Your heads turned toward him.
"What?"
"They're supposed to say your middle names. At least, most high schools do it for graduation. Did they not do it during rehearsal today?"
"No," Steve said. He groaned, thumping his head into the table. "Damn it."
"Why?" you asked, giggling at his melodrama.
He lifted his head back up, sipped on his milkshake, and said, "I hate my middle name. I hate it! It's so...stupid."
You bit your lip, trying not to laugh again. "Well, now you have to tell me what it is."
Steve scoffed. "Absolutely not."
You leaned forward across the table. "Tell me."
"No," he insisted.
"Yes!"
"No way!"
You found Steve's foot with your own under the table, making him jump. "Come on, Stevie... Just tell us!"
"No!"
"We're gonna find out anyway," Dustin piped up from beside you. "They're gonna say it at graduation!"
Steve shook his head resolutely. "No. They might not, because they didn't at practice, and if they didn't, I'm not embarrassing myself by telling you now."
You rolled your eyes at him. "It can't be that bad. No parent would name their child something that awful."
He snorted. "You have clearly never met my parents."
"No, I have not, but now I would like to," you said. You'd heard him complain about his father being a "grade-A asshole" before, a phrase Nancy had confirmed he'd used multiple times about his father, but you'd never seen just how bad he was.
Steve shook his head, going back to his milkshake. "No, you don't," he said quietly. The look in his eyes—like a sad, lost, kicked puppy—shut you up effectively. So you let it go, drinking your milkshake happily.
Dustin twirled his straw around in the remnants of his whipped cream. "Did I tell you about the project Mr. Clarke gave us? I might need help setting it up, but he wants us to make a machine out of stuff we have around the house."
Steve brightened. "Is it a Rube Goldberg machine? I remember those! I think I used mine to open the door to my patio..."
"Yeah!" Dustin grinned. "Mike, Lucas, Will, Max and I have a contest to see which of us can make the best one. I already know Mike's getting Nancy's help, and Will's getting Jonathan's, and I think Max and Lucas are collaborating to make two separate projects, so I could really use you guys to help..."
In amongst Dustin's chatter, you glanced toward Steve, finding a small smile on his face as he watched the kid talk animatedly. Dustin pulled a napkin toward himself and started sketching out vague plans for his machine. You felt Steve's foot move beside yours. You glanced over at him as he started playing a subtle game of footsie with you under the table.
You stifled a giggle, smiling at him in a way that was far too friendly—or, rather, not friendly enough. That look came back on his face, the lovey dovey look Nancy had gushed so much over. You understood why now. Had the roles been reversed, you would have gone straight to her to tell her all about the way Steve Harrington looked at you like he was in love with you.
That tight feeling in your chest came back, a simmering, traitorous hope nestling in your heart and not once listening to the screams of your brain that you should not, absolutely should not, fall in love with your best friend's ex.
Steve propped his head up with his hand, that dreamy look in his eyes intensifying. His lips pursed slightly before they fell apart, pure wonder in that small, involuntary motion.
To hell with not falling in love with your best friend's ex.
You lifted your foot a little higher, catching the cuff of his jeans and slowly but surely tugging up. Steve gulped, pink dusting his cheeks. You felt a brief but distinct shiver of glee.
Dustin pushed his empty cup away from him, the scraping on the table drawing your attention away from Steve. For a moment, you feared Dustin had caught sight of your not-so-subtle flirting and was about to call you out on it, but then he yawned.
"Can we go home?" he asked you, his sudden tiredness evident in his voice.
"You didn't sleep at all last night at Mike's, did you?" you asked with a sigh. "Because if you had, this sugar would be keeping you bouncing on the walls for the next four to five hours."
He shrugged. "It was a long campaign." His eyes fluttered, his head drooping. His body slid toward you, your shoulder being the only thing keeping him upright anymore.
Love and guilt crashed over you at the same time. "Oh, don't fall asleep on me here, I can't carry you to the car anymore, Dusty—"
"It's okay, I've got him," Steve said. He paid the bill in cash and got up from his side of the booth, gently pulling Dustin out from under the table and out of the restaurant. You followed, a glimmer of warmth in your chest. You'd heard Dustin and the others jokingly refer to Steve as their dad; now you could see why.
You unlocked the car for Steve and he put Dustin in the passenger's seat and buckled him in. Dustin mumbled softly—you were quite sure it was a little 'thank you'—and Steve closed the door as gently as he could.
Steve turned back to you, his hands going to his hips. "He's all yours."
"You'd make a great dad, Steve," you said gently, unable to stop yourself, or keep the gentle smile off your face. And when he smiled back at you, you felt like you had flashed ten years into the future, a mom standing and watching her husband carry their sleeping child to the car, doing everything in his power not to wake him.
"I've, uh, always wanted to be one," Steve said, the admission quiet but confident. "Ever since I knew I could be."
"Oh, Stevie..."
He rubbed the back of his neck. "What? It's just...I like the idea. Of being able to be there for someone and guide someone through life and have a family of my own, you know? Like—a big one. A big, happy family."
"I'm not judging you, Steve," you said, hearing the defensiveness in his voice. "I'm not. It's cute. It's really cute. I'm glad that you know what you want in your future."
He sighed, kicking the ground. "Yeah, well. Doesn't help to know what I want if I can't get there."
You raised an eyebrow and waited for an explanation.
Steve shrugged awkwardly, looking the most helpless you'd ever seen him. "There aren't exactly a line of girls just waiting to make King Steve's dreams come true." He bit his lip. "They just want me for a night, if they even want me at all, and then I don't—" He stopped himself short, taking a deep breath, his eyes dropping to the asphalt beneath you. "I'm sorry, this isn't... This isn't the time or place for this. I'm sorry."
You stepped closer to Steve, leaving only a few inches between you. "Hey," you said softly, bringing his gaze up from the ground and back to you. "It's okay. I understand." You caught his hand in yours. "Steve?"
He hummed, his gaze still on your hand holding his.
"You meant for tonight to be a date, didn't you?"
He blushed, but very slowly, he nodded.
Your heart fluttered in your chest. You hesitated, then said, "Do you want a hug?"
The question very nearly made Steve burst into tears. He nodded, accepting your arms around him instantly. He squeezed tightly and you returned the pressure, sensing he needed it. "I'm sorry," he whispered into your ear. "If it was weird, I'm sorry, I should have made it more clear that it was meant to be a date—"
Your hand drifted behind his hand, tangling into his hair. "Don't apologize. You don't have to apologize for wanting to be wanted, Steve. I should have known you wanted it to be just us—and not on babysitting duty." You bit your lower lip, possessed by a sudden boldness. "And, for what it's worth, I'd want you for more than a night."
He went tense and then lax in your arms. "I... What?" He leaned away from you, just enough to see your face but not enough to leave your arms. He whispered your name. "What are you saying?"
You offered him a tiny smile. "I think you know, Steve."
"Say it," he breathed. "Please. Please, I want to hear you say it."
You pressed your forehead to his as his hand lifted to your cheek, fingers brushing over your skin with a reverence you'd never felt before. "I want you for more than one night, Stevie. I want as many night as you'll give me."
The sound he made was both holy and sinful. You really hoped the windows to your car were closed, because that was not a sound you wanted Dustin hearing—especially not from Steve, not while you were wrapped up in his arms and he was in yours.
Steve moved before you did, leaning in but giving you the time and the chance to back away from him. You did the opposite, meeting him in the middle and kissing him softly.
Nancy had not done his kisses justice in her descriptions of them. Though, you had to give her credit, because it was next to impossible to find a good way to describe the gentle pressure of his mouth on yours. There was certainly nothing to compare it to, except for that heady, wonderful feeling of getting out of trouble scot-free, or that beautiful feeling when a choir sings a perfectly arranged chord in a high-ceilinged building.
You whispered his name into his mouth, a prayer on your lips, a desperate cry for more of him. He hummed into your mouth, sending shivers down your spine, and his hands gripped your hips, pulling you even closer to him and then wrapping around you once more.
"Every night, Steve," you whispered against him when he stopped kissing you to breathe, though his lips remained against yours as his chest heaved. "I want you every night."
He groaned. "Don't say that," he whispered. "Don't say it if you don't mean it."
You cupped his face in your hands. "I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it. I want you, Stevie. All of you, all of the time."
He whimpered. It was a beautiful sound.
"You know..." His words were choppy, split up by his heavy breaths. "If it weren't for your brother in the car, I'd take you home if you'd let me." You opened your mouth, but he put a finger your lips. "Shhh, don't tell me. Don't tell me if you'd let me. Don't let me know what I'm missing out on."
You smiled at him, toying with the hairs at the back of his head. "Kiss me one more time, Stevie. Please, baby."
He grinned. "Well, because you asked so nicely..." And his lips were on you again, and it took everything in you not to moan your relief that he had kissed you again.
Heaven. His kiss was like absolute heaven.
When he finally let go of you, the air between you had changed, filled with a pleasant glee. For the first time in a long time, you saw that Steve's eyes were bright.
"Get your brother home," he told you. "And I'll see you tomorrow. Oh, and, one more thing?"
You reached for his hand, caressing his skin. "Yeah?"
"How about we keep this between us for a few days? Just until graduation." He grinned. "Surprise everybody. I'll walk across the stage and stop to wait for you and we kiss and walk off together—"
"You're forgetting something," you said, shaking your head. "Billy's between us."
Steve's face fell. "I could...wait until he's gone?"
You laughed. "Stevie..."
He sighed. "Well, it was a good idea while it lasted, right?"
"It was cute," you agreed. "Just like you are."
Steve beamed.
"Don't worry—we'll still surprise them all," you said. "We'll just wait until we pose for photos, and right when they snap a picture, we'll lean in and you can give me a big, dramatic kiss, alright?"
"I like that idea just as much," he said, smiling. He nuzzled into you and kissed your cheek. "Get yourself home safe, hun. Okay?"
"Okay," you said. You let go of him slowly, reluctantly getting back in your car. He waited, waving to you as you pulled out of the parking lot, before he got into his own car.
About halfway down the road, Dustin stirred. "I hope the reason you took that long is because you were confessing your feelings for Steve," he said, his voice thick with sleep.
You glanced at him out of the corner of your eye. "Go back to sleep, Dustin."
"So he confessed, too," he mumbled. "Good. You need each other."
You bit back a smile. "Whatever you say, Dustin."
"Yeah...whatever I say..."
~❊~
You stood in line, your heart beating out of your chest. You were surprised no one around you had told you they could hear it.
Billy was standing in front of you, seeming ridiculously tall in his graduation cap and gown. Behind you, the cap and gown seemed to make Tommy even shorter than normal.
"STEVE EUGENE HARRINGTON!"
Your eyes went wide and your head whipped very quickly toward an embarrassed Steve. You'd heard him groan when they had first started graduating seniors by calling middle names, too, but you had not been expecting that.
No wonder he hadn't wanted to tell Dustin—the kid was never going to leave him alone about this.
"WILLIAM DAVID HARGROVE!"
Billy walked. You waited until your name was shouted into the room. You could hear Steve cheer as he went back to his seat, and Dustin cheering up in the stands. You shook Principle Higgins' hand and accepted your diploma, practically glowing and feeling on top of the world.
When you were seated and Tommy H. was following you back to his seat, you leaned forward to see around Billy.
"Eugene?!"
Steve groaned. "Shut up. Please. Please."
"I can see why you didn't want to tell us," you giggled.
Tommy leaned around you. "You know, you could've told them not to say it."
Steve's eyes went huge. "I could have?!"
He was quickly shushed by the administrator guiding students to the stage. Stifling giggles, you and Tommy sat back in your chairs, waiting for the end of the ceremony to tease him endlessly.

Lover's Lake in June—busy, overcrowded, full of children.
Lover's Lake in June past six at night—still full of children, but just the ones you were keeping your eyes on with Steve.
The party was having an adventure in the water, shouting at each other, the occasional D&D term thrown in. Max and Eleven were a ways away from the group, shrieking and holding their arms up every time the boys splashed the water too close to them.
Steve looked at his watch. "Hey, guys! It's almost eight! You've got fifteen minutes before we gotta get you home."
Max lifted up a hand, giving him a thumbs up, despite the boys not hearing a thing.
"Especially, you, Dusty, you have to go to camp tomorrow!" you called. You got no response.
"Jesus, they never listen, do they?" Steve sighed.
You leaned into his shoulder. "They listen, they just like yanking your chain."
You and Steve sat together at the edge of a dock, feet in the water, his pants rolled up to his knees and his arm around your shoulders. You held a copy of your graduation photo—the photo, the surprise photo where Steve had turned to you and kissed you right as the camera flashed.
"My mom framed her copy of this, you know," you said, handing him the photo. "It's sitting on the hearth."
He grinned. "I'm glad it turned out so well. I was worried it would be all blurry if I didn't time it right." He nuzzled his face into your temple, pressing a series of quick, gentle kisses there. "How'd Dustin take it?"
You laughed, your eyes straying to your brother, who was being tackled by Lucas. "He already knew! After I got in the car, he told me he hoped the reason it had taken me so long to get in after him was because he wanted us to be confessing our feelings to each other."
Steve snorted, loud in your ear. You shied away and he whispered a quick apology. "Of course he noticed. He notices everything."
"Not that it was hard to see we were hiding something from each other," you added, turning to catch his mouth with your own. He hummed into the kiss. "You spent all of that night looking at me with your 'I love you' eyes."
He raised his brows. "Oh, my 'I love you' eyes, really?"
You nodded, giggling at him and pressing closer to his side. You set the photo down behind you as he pulled you into a hug with both arms.
"Well, you weren't exactly the most subtle, either," Steve said, kissing your nose.
"Oh, yeah? What did I do?"
Steve brought his hand up to your cheek, brushing his thumb over your cheekbone. "Oh, you know, you get this look on your face. When you thought I couldn't see you, I guess. You'd look over and it was like...it was like you'd relax." He smiled. "Like seeing me was all it took to calm you down from whatever stress you had."
You smiled. "Yeah, I guess you do kind of have that effect on me." You ran your gaze over him. "You know...you're giving me those eyes right now."
His voice was nearly a whisper. "Good." Steve kissed you deeply, cupping the side of your face to hold you close to him. "Because I do." He squeezed your hip with his other hand. "Because I do love you."
You stared at him, mouth dropped open.
Steve turned red. "I know it's soon, but I—"
"Steve?"
"Yeah?"
"Kiss me."
"Okay," he whispered, leaning back in. When his lips met yours, you lifted your hand into his hair. He sighed happily into your mouth. He wrapped his arms around your waist.
And then it dawned on you. You pulled back from him. "Steve, it's too quiet."
You both looked at the water, half-expecting the kids to be gone, but they were all still in the lake—treading water and staring, silently, at you and Steve.
"What?" Steve asked slowly.
Dustin made a face. "Dude. My sister."
Steve rolled his eyes. "Dude. My girlfriend!"
"You're just as bad as El and Mike," Will groaned, setting off the shouting once more.
Steve glanced at you. "We're not that bad, are we?"
You shrugged. "I don't think so."
He kissed you again. "That's all that matters." He looked back at the kids. "Alright, come on, out of the water! You're not getting in my car soaking wet."
While the kids groaned and complained, Steve stood and offered you his hand to help you up. You took it, kissing his cheek once you were upright. His hand still in yours, you made your way to the car.
Dustin called your name. "Have you seen my towel?"
"Right here, Henderson," Steve laughed. He picked it up from the chair it was flopped over and handed it to him. You leaned into Steve, letting go of his hand so he could wrap his arm around your waist. He kissed the top of your head.
"See?" you whispered to him. "Good dad."
A glint entered Steve's eyes. "Someday," he said, and you got the feeling his someday included you.
You covered his hand on your hip with your own and looked up at him. "I love you, Stevie."
"Still my sister, Steve!"
Steve didn't take his eyes off you and his voice was soft, too soft for Dustin to hear. "Still my girlfriend, Henderson."

Summary: You've been stepping on Eddie's toes ever since you joined Corroded Coffin, and he's finally had enough.

Eddie wouldn’t call you an enemy.
He might call you an adversary. A rival. He’d most certainly call you a pain in his ass.
He told himself he had the power to kick you to the curb if he finally decided he’d had enough. All it would take was one ‘you’re out!’ from him, and you’d be gone. That’s what he had to tell himself.
Because he knew the rest of the band loved you too much to let him simply kick you out without consulting them first.
He hated it. Hated how quickly you’d gotten on their good sides.
His word used to be law around here- the most argumentative band member had always been Gareth. At the most, he’d grumble a bit when Eddie disagreed with him but he’d never contradict him.
Then you came along.
When Eddie had mentioned to Dustin that they were looking for someone to do some backup vocals on a track, he’d laughed when the twerp suggested his older sister since she “had a background in musical theater”. He’d still been laughing when you showed up to one of their practices asking them to give you a shot. The laughter had only stopped when you’d suggested they play Flash of the Blade, and you’d known every word. Hit every note. Given him fucking goosebumps.
It wouldn’t have been so bad if you’d assimilated into the band’s culture without any discord. If you’d been just as agreeable as the rest- but you had a lot of opinions, and they always seemed to contradict Eddie’s.
“We were a little flat on the second verse,” he would say, to which you would reply, “I thought we were perfect!”
“You came in too early on the chorus.” he would tell you, and you would bite back, “I was on time, you were late.”
Then you’d had the gall to suggest staying in the band as a permanent member- in front of the entire band- without consulting him first.
The guys had all been so happy to agree- fuck yes! They’d exclaimed. About time! They’d cheered. Nobody asked Eddie if he thought it was a good idea. Which he didn’t.
You were too argumentative. Too quick to disagree with him even though this was his fucking band. You were insubordinate. Fucking mutinous.
The last straw was that gig in Bloomington.
The band had been asked to play a college party. Eddie hadn’t established any kind of uniform for the performance- he wasn’t a drill sergeant. He’d simply told the band to dress casual.
And then you had shown up in an outfit that was so slutty, it looked like it jumped out of a porno.
A black skirt made of pleated black pleather, just long enough to skim the bottom of your ass. A tiny black baby tee that was so ripped, he could see the black lacy bra you wore underneath. Black combat boots with platform heels. Lipstick red as fresh blood.
“Absolutely not.” Eddie had declared, turning his back on you within seconds of laying eyes on your ensemble.
“What do you mean?” you scoffed, incredulously. Already arguing, Eddie noted. Not surprised.
“I’m wearing exactly what you told us to wear!”
“I’d hardly call that casual.” he countered.
“This is my casual.”
“Yeah, for casual Fridays at the brothel you look like you came from!”
“Haven’t you heard the phrase sex sells? Eddie, rockstars put girls in bikinis onstage all the time, why is this any different?”
Eddie rolled his eyes. Of course you didn’t get it. “If we resort to selling sex, it’s like we’re openly admitting that we think our music isn’t good! It’s saying that we don’t think our music is worth paying attention to, so hey! Let’s put some tits and ass up on the stage, that’ll get people’s attention!”
“Oh, and I’m the tits and ass?’
“You said it, sweetheart, not me.”
“Fuck you!” you spat.
“Yeah, right back atcha.”
He half expected you to walk away, but he should have known better by now.
“Why don’t you like me?” you asked, blunt and demanding as you took a step closer to him.
Eddie blanched. “I like you just fine.”
“Bullshit.”
“God, you always have to argue, huh?”
You scoffed. “I do when you’re wrong. Or lying to me, which you’re doing right now because you most definitely do not like me.”
“God, you’re infuriating.” Eddie raked his fingers through his hair, searching for somewhere more private to hash this out before you caused a scene in the middle of this party house. Spying a nearby bathroom, he grabbed your wrist and hauled you to it before closing the door and locking it behind him.
“Fine. You wanna hear it?” Eddie seethed. “No, I don’t like you. You’ve never agreed with me, not once. You always have something to say, and-”
“Are you saying I’m not entitled to an opin- mmph!”
Eddie silenced you with a hand to your mouth, launching your eyes from angry slits to saucers.
“No. For once in your goddamn life, you’re going to listen to me without arguing.”
You made no motion to move him off you. You simply watched him, eyes wide and waiting.
“Everyone likes you. They used to listen to me, but now they also listen to you. That would be fine with me if you would just fucking agree with me once in a while. Don’t just oppose me outright every time.”
Slowly, he removed his hand from your mouth. You were silent, eyes still wide as they followed his hand when it left your skin. Your breathing was heavy, cheeks heated and body language shifted- where there was usually brash confidence, Eddie now saw coy submission.
This would have seemed out of place, but the look in your eye told Eddie all he needed to know.
“You… liked that… didn’t you?”

“you can’t escape it y/n. you can't escape your destiny.” vecna’s words ring in your ears as tears stream down your face. “you and your friends will all die. there’s no stopping me.”
you can practically feel his breath ghost over your face as he stands in front of you, ready to make his promise of killing you a reality. thoughts of your friends and how you’ve let them down cloud your mind. your heart aches as you think of not seeing your brother, dustin, again. your own regrets make another wave of tears roll down your dirty and scraped face and your mind wanders to eddie. although you’ve never admitted it, you've grown extremely fond of the local freak, admiring his bond with dustin.
“say your goodbyes, y/n.” vecna mutters, his hand slowly rising to hover over your upturned face. your eyes close and you hold your breath, waiting for your end… that is, until a soft yet recognisable melody seemingly drifts through the red, overcast sky of the upsidedown.
“must have left my house at eight, because i always do
my train, i'm certain, left the station just when it was due
i must have read the morning paper going into town
and having gotten through the editorial no doubt i must have frowned”
your eyes open and you see vecna's hand is still, extended in the air above you but his face is turned to the side. you can almost feel his annoyance and rage at the sudden interruption.
“i must have made my desk around a quarter after nine
with letters to be read, and heaps of papers waiting to be signed
i must have gone to lunch at half past twelve or so
the usual place, the usual bunch
and still on top of this i'm pretty sure it must have rained
   the day before you came”
your breath comes out ragged as you remember dancing to this daily with dustin and later eddie. the thought of them alone is enough to make you claw at the vines around your neck, desperate to see them one last time.
“i must have lit my seventh cigarette at half past two
and at the time i never even noticed i was blue
i must have kept on dragging through the business of the day
without really knowing anything, i hid a part of me away”
you look behind vecna and notice a gate open up, figures which appear to be your friends on the other side. you start to kick and thrash, the urge to escape becoming even stronger. you couldn't let them down, you couldn't let yourself down. you refused to give in to him just yet.
you see eddie cradling your body and you can almost hear the words which he seems to be screaming at your limp form.
“wake up, please! please y/n, wake up!”
his cries are enough to light a fire inside you and you suddenly remember the lighter in your pocket, courtesy of eddie himself.
your hand blindly reaches into the back pocket of your jeans and you pull out a zippo, flipping it open on your leg and lighting it in the same movement. you raise your shaking hand and the flame licks at the vines keeping you in place. vecna looks at you sharply as your body falls to the ground, the vines unravelling when they feel the fire.
you drag yourself back as he stalks closer. “trying to escape is futile.” you continue to move further away from him, the sound of ABBA continuing to break the eerie silence. your hands sting from the roughness of the ground, your face is covered in dirt and dust and your voice is hoarse yet you find the strength to mutter, “i don't care. i'm not dying today, you bastard.”
with that, you muster up all your energy and make a run for it. tripping and stumbling over vines which try to slow your run but you refuse to let him win. your eyes are set on the image of eddie cradling your body in his arms while dustin kneels next to him.
objects fall from the sky in attempts to block your escape but you make detours around them, trying your best to run as fast as your sore legs could carry you. your breaths come out in pained huffs, chest screaming at the lack of oxygen you’re getting.
‘damn me for being so unfit.’ you think to yourself.
you can almost feel your escape, relief starting to fill your whole body. you hear a loud rumble as the ground beneath you starts to shake, vecna’s shouts echoing in your mind as you jump through the gate, the soft melody coming to an end and darkness consuming your every sense.
“and turning out the light
i must have yawned and cuddled up for yet another night
and rattling on the roof i must have heard the sound of rain
   the day before you came.”
— — — — — X — — — — —
a warm sensation fills your tired body and light floods your vision as you force your eyes open. you realise that you’re laying on your bed, your familiar bedroom wallpaper a clear indicator as to where you are. you gaze at the faces staring down at you, each with a worried expression plastered on their face.
“i feel like shit.” you croak out and dustin laughs despite the tears which cloud his vision. “really? you almost died and that’s what you have to say?” steve deadpans and you chuckle before breaking out in a fit of coughs as you try to sit up. “sorry mama steve.” you tease him in an attempt to cover up how sore you were.
“hey, at least she’s not dead!” robin defends you as she chases after steve who’s walking away, not ready to deal with you. nancy smiles softly at you before kneeling on your bed and giving you a gentle hug. “i’m glad you’re ok, y/n… don't scare us like that again.” she says as she pulls away. you give her a lopsided grin, “i’ll try not to get killed again, i swear.” she shakes her head at you before standing and walking towards the bickering pair who are standing outside your room.
you turn your head and your eyes lock onto eddie’s, his face is red and his eyes are puffy, clear evidence that he’s been crying. “hey eddie.” you mutter. “hey…” he trails off, kneeling on the ground with his arms resting on your mattress. his eyes wander your fragile frame, inspecting you closely for any possible injuries.
you turn away from him and dustin is the next one to tackle you in a hug. “are you ok? are you hurt? what happened?” he throws question after question at you, all while keeping you in his vice-like embrace. “i’m fine alright? nothing happened.” you reassure him. he lets you go and eyes you suspiciously. “really, i'm ok.” you sigh.
dustin doesn’t seem to believe you but he lets it slide when he looks at eddie who is still staring at you in a daze. pulling you into another hug, he whispers, “talk to him. he was panicking the most out of all of us.”
with those words, he stands up and smiles. “glad to have my annoying big sister back.” he calls as he walks over to the other 3 who seem to be in a heated discussion about god knows what.
“i’m sorry.” you mutter into the silence, the tension between you and eddie is thick and feels suffocating. he seems to snap out of it and looks at you in confusion. “why are you sorry?” you smile sadly at him, unconsciously grabbing his hand to play with the rings on his fingers. “sorry for worrying you… for leaving you like that.” your voice is small and it makes his heart clench.
“you have nothing to be sorry for… i’m sorry that i couldn't save you.” his words make you shake your head. “no, you did… the thought of you was enough to keep me from giving up…” you glance at him and see his mouth hanging open before quickly adding, “the thought of you, dustin and the others kept me going…”
neither of you noticed how silent it went, nor did you notice that your 4 friends had been listening to your conversation and decided it’d be best to leave the two of you alone together, closing the door behind them to give you some privacy.
“y/n… i-” he cut himself off. your eyes bore into his, an expectant look on your face. “i’m happy that you’re safe now.” he mumbles. you sit there in silence, deep down hoping for him to say something else… the three words you want to say to him and want him to say to you.
‘i love you’
eddie’s eyes snap towards you and you feel your face heat up, realising that you said it out loud.
“what?” he asks dumbfounded. “i… i love you.” you whisper, figuring that there’s no going back now. you close your eyes and hang your head low, embarrassment coursing through your veins. that is, until you feel a pair of lips against your own. your shock wears off quickly as you kiss him back, pouring all your emotions out into that single kiss.
“i love you too… so much it hurts.” he breaths into your ear as you pull away for air.
“are you hurt anywhere?” his voice is worried as he eyes the bruises around your neck caused by the vines. you shake your head, “i’m fine. how many times am i going to have to say-”
his lips against yours cuts you off and you intertwine your fingers in his hair. soon enough, you find yourself lying underneath him, his chest pressed against yours as he glides his tongue over your lips, silently asking for permission. you allow him access and hum in pleasure as he explores every crevice of your mouth.
breaking away for oxygen, his lips travel down your throat and press soft kisses to the bruised skin and you bite your lip in an attempt to silence your sounds. he moves up to your ear and his breath fans over it, causing shivers to run down your spine and a quiet whimper to escape.
“shh, it’s alright. i’ll take care of you.”
his hands slowly start wandering lower and lower, raising the hem of your shirt before sneaking underneath it and stroking your soft stomach. “i love you so much.” he whispers before he helps you sit up and pull the shirt over your head. your hands move to his jacket and tug on it, silently asking him to take it off.
he complies and soon enough, both of you are bare chested. his rough hands rub and sooth every part of your exposed flesh before his lips find home on your breasts. soft bites and kisses being left in his wake, he moves lower until he reaches the waistband of your pants. “may i?” he asks and you nod in response.
just moments later the two of you are as bare as the day you were born, his arms wrapped around you in a loving embrace as he mutters sweet nothings into your ears. you gasp in pain and pleasure as you feel him enter you, your walls squeezing him tightly and your breaths becoming more laboured.
his hips still as you wrap your arms around his neck and bury your face into it. “move… please…” you whisper after a while of adjusting to the feeling of  him inside you,
soon enough, soft moans and grunts fill your room, mixing together to form a symphony of sounds which makes your head spin. eddie’s thrusts are gentle and steady paced, fulfilling his promise to take care of you as your mind goes foggy from the pleasure he’s giving you.
“please… please eddie.” you whimper, not exactly sure what you’re asking for. he however seems to know and his hand ghosts over your body before coming in contact with your clit. “i’m here… let go, i’ve got you.” he coos as he quickens the pace of his fingers against you. you squirm underneath him and pull his face towards yours, placing a desperate and feverish kiss on his lips.
this action almost pushes him over the edge and he pulls away from your kiss. “let go… come on, y/n… i’m right here.” his words make your eyes roll back as you feel the knot in your stomach tighten. “come for me.” he whispers and that's all it takes for your body to give in. your mind is clouded with pleasure and your vision goes white as you come undone underneath him.
he groans and pulls out from you, releasing onto your stomach before his body slumps against yours. jagged pants are all that can be heard from the both of you as you come down from your high. eddie stands with shaky legs and walks to your bathroom to grab a warm cloth to wipe you down. he helps you up and carries you to the bathroom in order for you to use it.
slowly placing you back onto your bed once you’re both cleaned up, he engulfs you in a hug.
“i love you.” he says as he places a loving kiss onto the top of your head. you smile and manage to get out, “i love you too.” before sleep overcomes you, eddie following suit.
you couldn’t be happier than you were in that moment. if only you knew that you’d never be that happy again… if you had known what the future held, you wouldn't have fallen in love with eddie munson.
you wouldn't have fallen in love with a dead man.

The College Letter... Eddie Munson x Fem!Henderson Reader
Fem!Henderson Reader x Eddie Munson
Word count -2K
Y/N gets into her dream college...but what does that mean for her and her boyfriend?
Fluffy soooooo fluffy and sweet and so very self-indulgent! Part of a longer OC work but I've adapted it for y/n! No warnings, just cute fluff!
Tumblr media
“Y/N!” Claudia yelled as y/n lay on her bed, working on club plans for the spring. Being the president of a brand new club was so hard. Her VP was incredible and so she didn’t want to burden him with doing the paperwork, especially not during midterms week so she had taken it upon herself to knock out these travel plans to Cali in order for them to do a club meet up with other high schools. It may or may not be an added bonus that she was going to get to see and hang out with Johnathan, Will, Mike, and El the whole time she was there.
“y/n m/n HENDERSON!”
“What?” y/n yelled back as her mom opened her door, “Mom-”
“It’s here!”
“What’s-” The words died on y/n’s lips as she looked at the letter held in her mom’s hands, the [dream college] Logo boldly emblazoned along with her name.
“Holy-”
“y/n, watch your language!” Claudia scolded before breaking into a smile, “but holy shit indeed.”
“Can I open it now?” Y/n bounced out of bed, taking the letter from her mom as her club work was long forgotten, “Is Dustin home?”
“No,” her mother shook her head, “He’s over at Eddie’s for D&D stuff-”
“Dang it!” y/n said as she let out a sigh, “I wanted to wait until Dustin was home, I mean this is the big one!”
“That’s very thoughtful, sweetie,” Claudia said as she beamed that her children had such a wonderful relationship, “Well why don’t you radio him? Ask him when he’s coming home? Hell you can tell him to bring Eddie over too if you want him to be here when you open it!”
“But what if I don’t get in?” y/n suddenly felt the dread sink into her stomach, “What if they say no? What if everyone says no-”
“Now, now young lady, none of that,” Claudia walked over and brought y/n the radio that lived on her nightstand, a small gift from Dustin which he had bought her after she had run her old one completely down with late night chats to Eddie. “Give your brother a call, I’ll be downstairs.” y/n beamed at her mom and gave her a quick hug as her mom closed the door, leaving y/n alone with her radio. She quickly turned it on and turned it to the channel Dustin generally was on.
“Dustin, it’s y/n, do you copy? Over.” Silence.
“Dustin, it’s y/n,” she repeated, “Do you copy? Over.” Again, silence. With a sigh, she flipped it to a different channel and the same pattern repeated.
“Dustin, it’s y/n, do you copy? Over.” Silence. Finally as a last resort, she returned the walkie to the channel it had previously been on and spoke.
“Eddie, it’s y/n, do you copy? Over.” She waited for a moment, finger ready to switch the channel when she heard-
“Y/n! Hey! I wasn’t expecting you to call! What’s up pretty girl? Over.” She giggled before remembering why she was calling and she pressed the button again.
“Is Dustin with you? Over.”
“Ah, I should have known. You’d never call me unless you were looking for your kid brother,” The dramatics in his tone was evident as always, “I see how it is, Henderson. Over.”
“Eddie please this is serious! Over.”
“Yeah, he’s here. Why, what’s up? Over.”
“It came. Over.” She didn’t have to say more than that for Eddie to light up, a combination of elation and dread running through his system.
“Is that y/n?” Dustin asked from where he sat on the couch.
“Yeah!” Eddie said as he walked into the living room with a beaming smile on his face, “It’s here.”
“Holy shit.”
“I know.”
“HOLY SHIT!”
“I KNOW!”
“Has she opened it?”
“I don’t think so,” Eddie said as he picked back up the walkie, “Y/n have you opened it? Over.”
“No,” came her reply, “I wanted to wait until everyone was home to open it since Dustin and mom helped me along through the whole application process. So I wanted to know when he’d be home. Over.”
“Right now!” Dustin said as he raced to the door to put on his shoes, “Sorry Eddie but D&D will have to wait!”
“I couldn’t agree more,” Eddie said as he was already grabbing his keys to drive Dustin home, “And you know I never say that, ever about D&D.”
“I’m not sure I like the effect my sister is having on you,” Dustin said with a shake of his head as he finished tying his shoes, “Not good for the health of the party-”
“Uh Eddie, you there? Over.”
“Shit,” Eddie swore as he grabbed the walkie and slipped on shoes, “Yeah baby we’re on our way! I’ll drop Dustin off so you all can open that letter together. Over.”
“Eddie…if you want,” y/n started, “You can stay too and be there when I open it. Over.” Eddie felt his heart soar at the idea.
“Really?” He asked, trying to keep his tone even despite his heart rate having sped up exponentially, “You really want me there? Over.”
“Of course I do!” Y/n’s cheerful reply came, “Good news, or bad. I’d love to have you here. Over.” Eddie melted, his heart singing as he clutched the walkie to his chest.
“Hey less swooning, more moving!” Dustin said as he was already in the van.
“Right, right,” Eddie yelled as he raced over to Wayne’s room and banged on the door. “Wayne! y/n got her [dream college] letter so I’m taking Dustin home!”
“Oh that’s wonderful!” Wayne yelled, “I hope she gets in! Go….whatever the [dream college] Mascot is!” Eddie laughed aloud as he let out a little whoop, running to get in the van.
“On our way over, baby! Eta is 20 minutes!”
“Fifteen!” Dustin interjected into the walkie, “Eddie drives like a maniac! Over!”
“Oh don’t I know it,” y/n laughed through the walkie as Eddie started the car, “Please don’t crash. Over.”
“And miss you opening your college letter? Never! Over!” With that, Eddie sped off, music on blast.
Y/n paced back and forth as she waited for the boys to arrive. She had already let her mom know and Claudia was sitting on the couch in her ‘[dream college] Mom’ shirt.
“It’s for good luck,” she had said as she came down in it, holding up y/n’s sweatshirt they had bought her while touring and had coaxed her daughter to put it on. Only the sound of Ozzy Osbourne blaring so loud she knew the neighbors would complain made her troubles ease for a moment.
“They’re here!” Claudia beamed as she got up and pulled the plate of cookies she had made off the counter.
“Oh thank god,” y/n laughed to ease her tension as she watched her brother and boyfriend climb out of Eddie’s van and make a sprint towards the house, “if I had to wait another second, I would just have ripped it open and told them later.”
“Well, wait no longer,” Claudia said as she opened the door with a beaming smile just as the boys hit the steps.
“Hi Mom,” Dustin said quickly, side-stepping his mother and running over to y/n.
“Dusty! No shoes in the house!” Claudia scolded briefly before turning her attention to Eddie who was in the process of kicking off his shoes before even crossing the threshold, “Hello Edward. Thank you for coming on such short notice. I made cookies if you’d like one!”
“Thank you, Ms.Henderson,” Eddie said as he took one and beamed at Claudia, walking into the house and taking a seat on the couch with the utmost caution to not mess up the cushions. Y/n turned to smile at him, mouthing a little thank you as she looked at Dustin.
“I’m going to open it right now! Let Mom sit down!”
“But-”
“Sorry about them Edward,” she said as she set the cookies down on the coffee table before taking a seat, “They’re just excited that’s all.”
“Oh don’t worry,” Eddie laughed, “You should see Dustin when he talks about Suzie! He’s at least four times more excited and that’s saying something-”
“Hey!”
“He’s right,” y/n teased her brother as she sat down opposite her mom and her boyfriend, “You are!”
“Dusty, come sit down and let your sister open her letter,” Claudia offered, patting the free spot in between her and Eddie on the couch. Dustin took it with a little grumble that quickly vanished as y/n’s focus went to the letter.
Don’t freak out, don’t freak out, don’t freak out, y/n thought as she opened it up and began to read.
Dear Y/n Henderson,
Y/n read for a moment and then went silent, her expression completely dropping. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop as the three on the couch held their breath.
“I got in.” y/n said, a small smile coming to her face as she looked at all three of them, “I got in!” The whole house filled instantly with cheers and hugs and a bit of swearing from Dustin which Claudia allowed considering it was a special occasion. As soon as the main celebration died down, Claudia gave y/n a hug and said “I have to make some calls! So many people will be so proud of you!”
“Thanks mom,” y/n said as her mom pressed a kiss to her forehead and headed into the other room with a quick, “Edward, honey, feel free to stick around ok? You’re always welcome in this house!”
“Thank you Ms.Henderson!” He called back as he continued to beam at y/n. Dustin gave his sister one last hug before turning to Eddie.
“Ok! Let’s go!”
“Dude,” Eddie said with a laugh as he crossed his arms, “do I not get to congratulate your sister?”
“You already did-“
“Bud give me five minutes and I’ll be right out,” Eddie said, knowing it was a lost cause to try and argue with Dustin over anything. “Here,” he threw the keys to the van, “go get her started for me.”
“Fine,” Dustin said as he looked between the pair, “but keep the sexual electricity to a lower voltage-“
“Dustin!” y/n called as Dustin was already out the front door. y/n and Eddie looked at each other for a moment before the pair burst into laughter.
“I’m so sorry about him,” y/n said quickly with a smile at her boyfriend, his hands naturally wrapping around her waist as her hands came to rest on his chest, “He is such a little twerp.”
“But we love him anyway,” Eddie teased with a smile. He looked down at her and could not stop beaming, “Holy shit. Now I am dating Hawkin’s it-girl, smarty pants, [dream college] admitted, beauty queen. Damn, the best of those bastards better be jealous as hell. No one in this fucking town can top that!” y/n beamed back at him but he could see a hint of sadness in her eyes. “Baby what is it?”
“It’s not-”
“Uh uh uh,” He tutted as he tickled her sides just a bit, “You can’t lie to me pretty baby, I see right through all that. I’ve got high insight checks, remember,” This got a little giggle out of her, “So…”
“So I just…” y/n let out a sigh as she relaxed in his arms, “[dream college] is hours from here. And am I super excited I got in, yes! I mean it’s been my dream school forever! It’s just that…”
“You’re going to be far away,” Eddie nodded, “From you friends and your family and-”
“And you,” y/n concluded, “And…I really appreciate you being excited for me but it’d totally understand if you were worried too-”
“Woah woah woah,” Eddie let go of her to take her hands into his, “First off baby, flattered that you think so much about me-”
“OF course I do I love you-”
“And I love you too but,” He continued on, “This is your dream! This has been your dream and you’ve worked so damn hard for it and now you’ve gotten it! And you’re really not allowing yourself to celebrate because maybe I’ll be sad about it?” y/n pouted for a second before nodding.
“Well it sounds silly when you say it-”
“No it’s sweet,” he kissed her cheek, “And thoughtful,” the other cheek, “And considerate,” He kissed her forehead before looking at her, “But I don’t want you to worry about it a second longer. We’ve got a whole spring semester of high school together still and then the summer and then if I graduate-”
“Which you will-”
“Which I will,” he repeated back, remembering her long lecture on manifestation when they had taken a break from tutoring one night, “Then we’ve got the whole summer to get up to God knows what.” She giggled as memories of last summer came back to her, “And then I’m gonna work for a bit, save up big, take some community college classes,” He made a fake gag to make her chuckle as she swatted at his chest, “And then when the boys are all out of school we’re gonna tour the band, make it big, and at that point I’ll have enough to do that stupid drive as much as I want to baby. Hell, maybe we’ll get so big I’ll have my own goddamn plane.” y/n beamed at him, a soft giggle falling from her. “How do you like that? The idea of your boyfriend flying in his private jet to see you at college. Maybe we’ll play a concert for [dream college] if those college snobs actually have good taste in music.”
“Some of them will,” y/n pointed to herself making them both giggle, “But just remember you can’t forget about me when you’re a big time rock star, ok? I know the drugs and the groupies are tempting but remember you’ve got a sweetheart who loves you very much-” y/n was cut off by Eddie picking her up in his arms making her shriek with laughter.
“Are you kidding me?” He teased as he carried her over his shoulder, “First off, you know I’m clean and second, you’ve gotta be crazy if you think I’d ever choose some groupie over you! You act like you won’t star in all of our music videos,” He set her down and at this point she was a fit of giggles as was he. The pair just held each other, enjoying the sheer joy of the moment as y/n finally allowed herself to bask in the joy-
The sound of a loud car horn broke the couple from their moment.
“Damn that little twerp,” Eddie swore as he looked at y/n, “Gotta go baby but seriously, congrats. I’m so fucking proud of you and don’t worry about me for a second! I could not be more over the moon and if you think a long ass drive is all it takes to get rid of me,” he kissed her so fiercely before pulling away to whisper against her lips, “Then you’ve got another thing coming, Henderson.”
“EDDIE! LET’S GO!” Dustin shouted so loudly that it could be heard through the open house window.
“ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!” He yelled before he pressed one last kiss to y/n’s lips. “Still on for movie night tonight? Mine?”
“Yeah,” she nodded, “You drop Dustin off and pick me up?”
“Wouldn’t have it any other way,” He said as he smiled at her. The pair walked to the door hand in hand Eddie refusing to let go even to attempt to relace his combat boots.
“Baby, I think that’s a two handed endeavor-”
“Y/n Henderson,” He said, his free hand coming to his heart in mock pain, “Are you seriously questioning my boot lacing skills?”
“Yes,” She nodded and he broke character, the pair of them laughing as he pulled his hand from hers.
“Well as usual, you’re right,” He quickly laced up his boots and pressed a kiss to her forehead one more time as Dustin continued to complain. “See you in a bit.”
“Drive safe!” y/n called as she watched her boyfriend race to his van/
“Only for you!” He called back as he jumped into the driver’s seat and took off, speeding down the road with Ozzy on blast.
Eeekkk anyway! I hope y'all liked it! Reblogs and comments are always appreciated especially if you're interested in seeing more from this fic!
