Are YOU looking for songs to add to your sefikura playlist?

You're...you're not? Oh. Well. Shit. But if you are then may I introduce you to the world of Mili?

The following is my attempting at listing every Mili song that I think fits with sefikura. Bear with me, this will be a long one.

Album: Mag Mell (released 2014)

Imagined Flight: With lines like "Swing through debris and waste, Float nonstop, Exploring milkyway," and the verse "Repress, Manipulate, Dominate, Now, Imagine you can fly, Take all the universes under your control, Imagine you can fight, Imagine you're alive, Imagine you can" do I really need to explain why this song fits Cloud and Sephiroth so well?

Album: Miracle Milk (released 2016)

Red Dahlia: While this song is generally accepted as being about a doctor who impregnates their patient, it can easily be imagined to represent Cloud and Sephiroth's relationship. Especially when you consider the fact that Cloud had Sephiroth's cells forcibly added to his blood, this song could easily be about Cloud's feelings as Sephiroth begins to manipulate and control him from "within."

Ga1ahad and Scientific Witchery: A knight and a witch caught in a strange love-hate relationship. The knight seems insistent on killing the witch who revives the knight everytime he dies in his battle against the witches.

Bathtub Mermaid: This song as always made me think of Sephiroth taking control of Cloud and promising to take away all the agony he has experienced. Especially with lines like "stay with me you will never be sad" and "reborn, reform, twist my legs to one and mind to none."

Honourable mention: World.execute(me);: A song about a computer who falls in love with it's user. It's not as sefikura coded as the other songs, but any song with the line "challenging your god, you have made some illegal arguments" is a winner in my book.

Album: Millennium Mother (released 2018)

Extension of You: A song about a clone or computer of some sort who learns to copy it's creator, slowly learning to be sentient. Very fitting for puppet Cloud.

With a Billion Worldful of <3: The story of someone who falls in love with a Buddhist monk. Originally content with just being near the monk, the singer eventually decides to kill the monk so they can be together when they are reborn in a new life. It's easy to imagine Sephiroth as the singer, growing more and more obsessed with Cloud.

Every Other Ghost:

"Every meter of my skin reaching out Like every other ghost here to prove my love Every meter of my skin, mmm Like every other ghost, refusing to be dead."

Fossil: A song about suffering and forgiveness.

Album: To Kill a Living Book-For Library of Ruina- (released 2021)

From a Place of Love: This song is DARK. It's the story of two lovers who are sewn together, suffering horribly until they are killed. Sefikura wise, it really gives off the feeling of Cloud suffering under Sephiroth's control or affections, forced to spend forever with his enemy.

And Then is Heard no More: This song makes me think of Sephiroth regretting his actions towards Cloud, feeling guilty that his actions have hurt Cloud so badly.

Iron Lotus: I've always felt like this song is a good depiction of Cloud's mixed feelings towards Sephiroth. His guilt, anger, fear, and even his affection and adoration can all be seen in the lyrics. Not to mention how well the chorus lines up with Cloud's rather negative self image and him being fueled by his desire to kill Sephiroth.

Gone Angels: "For you, angels have fallen Now they're gone See? Now they're gone, forever gone From the hell that served as my one and only home Though it may hurt today Tomorrow, I'll be heading my way."

Need I say more?

Album: Key Ingredient (2022)

This album is basically a stripped back version of several of Mili's songs. All these songs were originally released on other albums, but these slower and often more emotional versions fit sefikura better, in my mind.

Chocological: What starts as a very sweet song (literally!) has a rather sad ending. One can imagine this song being about Cloud's idolization of Sephiroth and the way the idolization crashes and burns after Nibelheim.

And that is it, although there are dozens of other Mili songs that you might find also scratches that Sefikura itch.

After Sami saves Kevin at Hell in a Cell in 2017, Kevin announces to the fans that they are now all officially in “Kevin’s Heaven,” and invites Sami out to talk about his change in attitude. It’s a fascinating promo because while Kevin is clearly overjoyed that Sami has thrown in his lot with him, there are hints that Sami’s glee is… less heartfelt.

Wrestling stories, because they (of necessity) often intersect with other unfolding storylines, can end up developing a lot of details and sidetracks that obscure a particular arc. And while I hesitate to call Daniel Bryan’s return to wrestling a “sidetrack,” it was a fun challenge in this chapter to streamline the events down and focus on what happens specifically to Kevin and Sami’s relationship from October 2017 to about June 2018, and the ways in which “Kevin’s Heaven” slowly becomes something closer to Hell for him.

Somebody truly had the nerve to say Roman has never had to deal with or wrestle with injuries/set backs in his career and that he "could never power through like C*dy did with his torn pec". First of all, comparing how these two athletes deal with injuries is big fucking weird but since we're going there and I take my role of #1 Joe Anoa'i defender to heart what I'm not about to do is let y'all set up here on this internet and make it seem as if my Tribal Chief ain't ever fought through shit because this man is a WARRIOR, do you hear me???

Generally speaking, not just that situation but in many others in Joe's life, some of your faves would have folded. What if I were to try and tell Fault!Wilbur where babies come from?

So. Phil has said that Tubbo's problem is not having blood in that one famous shitpost which got me into Fault in the first place. So. What if they did have blood though? Like what if some of the wax cells were filled with blood? Just spontaneously. For blood-letting purposes, yk.

I think I saw you mention somewhere that Fault!Tubbo either has or could potentially have memories from different alternative versions of themselves. Explain please?? Also does that mean that they potentially have memories from my personal au where most of my ocs and headcanons live? Btw my first reaction at that thought was "AAHH FUCK NONONONONO BITCH CHEESUS CRUST". It's not that bad though I promise I'd just be embarrassed either way.

What if. What if the Fault crew + the scp researchers got spontaneously teleported into a gacha reaction videos where they had to react to your shitposts, animations and drawings. Also throw a couple of 2018 style gacha vids in there for good measure. (While writing this I checked the lyrics of Devils don't fly and realised that it's actually a pretty serious song. Which like- damn.)

This one has heavy spoilers!

1. Probably depends on how you do it, but I think he’d just take basic notes on sex-ed. Doesn’t have much puritan context of taboo or embarrassment on the subject. Fairly indifferent on the whole sex thing because he doesn’t think it’ll ever come up in his lifestyle of avoiding humans and knowing only 4 people. Probably a little irritated that its theories were so wildly off base, grumble a bit about how its own ideas about making Faustian bargains with dark entities and trading organ: [womb] for power make far more sense but whatever. He thinks pregnancy is stupid because how are you supposed to run like that? And your food is SIPHONED off by the fetus? Why can’t they get their own? And at the end you get a human. Terrible process all around. 3/10 Tommy has less ammunition to tease it now and that’s IT. 

2. Probably smell bad. Maybe they could do things like blush? Mosquitoes would go crazy for them. If this is ‘a previously weren’t a blood fruit gusher’ situation, Tubbo would be freaking out about 1. Who the muffin’s blood is this and 2. Starving 2 death babyy. Cause they really need that honey to operate. A bunch of baby larva are going to die even if all the workers can go into overdrive to feed the Hive. I think it would be very funny if Tubbo tried to break into a blood bank to donate it all. Shhh don’t worry about where this blood came from. Or what happened to the security cameras. It’s for a good cause trust trust. 

3.Heavy spoilers. The plan was that Tubbo and Wilbur get dunked through the near apocalypse via dissolving of the narrative due to SOMEONE being so depressed it fails to keep the void in check/potentially interpretable as being suicidal, thus exposing the two to pure void madness and realizing everything is a story. Which would entail having some familiarity/confusion about the source material of the dsmp, some vlogs, etc. but not necessarily AUs. But then SOMEONE turned out to be an abusive ass, and that plot point got very icky to me. I’ve been debating it for months, but realized I’m sexy and do what I want so am going to limit it to pure awareness of being a story, but not necessarily a fanfic. Still has the existential crisis of it and the philosophical implications that are going to so beautifully deal with themes of attachments, the purpose of narratives, and parallel whatever the hell trauma Tommy is dealing with during that section. But won’t actually deal with having any true awareness of stuff outside of Fault. Except maybe for realizing “Lawrence killed our muffining husband?!” because that scene was funny as hell to write. I dunno plans change. I’ve tried not to let outside events change my artistic vision, but it’s inevitable. 

4.Oh goodness they absolutely despise me for all the jokes about the horrors they’re going through. Probably think they’re being drawn ‘cute’ given they’re probably a lot freakier looking irl, and slightly distressed about being chibis. I think most would even consider it ���out of character’ given their self perceptions don’t tend to be the most accurate. Current Wilbur is hissing and vehement about being constantly called an it because his character development is very far off from when that happens. Philza is a little disappointed that his bloodthirsty moments gets so much emphasis since he’s so chill 97% of the time. Tommy is absolutely chuffed to bits to realize he’s the main character, though trying to do damage control cause haha I’m fine guys this crazy internet person just made me seem edgy and depressed. 

Webb is going to strangle me for the Philza/Webb post tho. And the haha poor alcoholic divorcee doormat jokes. Dr. Blake assumes the blog is an anomaly and starts trying to torture it…?

5. I took the quiz sitting in the heads of all of them.

The Blade: The Soldier. “if you were to wear a crown it would be covered in blood. The one of the guilty.” “The sword is at your side. It bore your name long before you did.” is rather literal both for his name and The Blood God. “but how can I sleep with the world in my head?" “What is hell anyway? Doubt”

Wilbur: The King. “Despite all your attempts, you have never been a healer. You hurt people and they leave and you are alone in a room full of silence. You sing to try and forget, but it does not work” everything about this. Trying to heal but being made of destruction, his fears of devouring his family, singing, memory loss, everything everything it’s so Wilbur. "come and be human with me" “The one who hurt you haunts you. In your nightmares, they say I love you." <literally Phil’s last words when Wilbur killed him in the Whumptober au. "but how can I sleep with the world in my head?" why it has insomnia.

Philza: The Poet. “There are rules. How many? One, and you will follow it.” For his Collected. “Fear: You did your best and it wasn't enough. You tried and failed and kept trying and it wasn't enough. You had the power to change things and it wasn't enough.” For all his dead children. "you’re trembling, but he reaches over and he touches you, like a prayer for which no words exist" it's him reaching out. I love the reverse imagery with Phil, a god worshiping his mortals “anger is a strength in a world of apathy.” He feels no shame or burden for his anger, knowing well the good it can do. “Who taught you about guilt? The silence” 

Tubbo: The King. Absolutely perfect as a foil to The Blade btw. “What is duty? Undeniable” “The throne looks golden, and covered in flowers” “Fear: You did your best and it wasn't enough. You tried and failed and kept trying and it wasn't enough.” Saving people from Philza. “The one who hurt you haunts you. In your nightmares, they say I forgive you” Rosaliiiiiind. “Who taught you about guilt? God”

Presentable Liberty

Okie, so forewarning, this post shall be discussing certain topics that may not be suitable for all, such as suicide, so please do bear that in mind before proceeding.

So, I just recently watched Markiplier's video depicting his gameplay of "Presentable Liberty" (yes, I'm aware I'm a tad bit late to the show). Anywho, the game was created by "Wertpol", birth name Robert Brock, who unfortunately decided to end his life in June 2018. This game in particular speaks to what I could only presume to be his experience with mental health.

A brief summary for those of you who haven't a clue what this game is: the game starts off with the protagonist in a prison cell, who's only means of communication with the outside world are letters sent by 4 characters. Through these letters, we learn of a world plagued by infection outside and we told we are one of the few 2% left uninfected.

Now, for the analysis (if you still haven't a clue of what the hell is going on, I do highly recommend Markiplier's playthrough). The story may seem wild, unpredictable and just plainly doesn't make any sense, however, I started relating to the events through my own experiences. First and foremost, we have the cell. We haven't a clue what exists outside this small room, our only source of information coming from occasional letters delivered through the slat under our prison cell doorway. And so begins the numerous symbolisms. What do we think of when we think of prison? Sure, of course we think criminals, violence, guards, life sentences, but what of isolation? And in the case of this game, that isolation exists within one's mind. The protagonist shuts themselves away from society, only receiving information from letters which I interpreted to be social media and text messages, hence why progressively we become more and more enthusiastic about receiving them. It represents the small hits of dopamine that hits our minds anytime we see a message from a friend, or a notification from a platform. We have isolated ourselves from the world for unknown reasons, creating a prison cell within our minds.

But what of the virus? Depression. It is slowly affecting the population, killing them off slowly but surely, either an individual's organs slowly shutting down, or from them committing the act themselves. That is the infection spreading about. Depressing, hence why Mr Smiley is tasked with keeping us happy. We mustn't fall into despair like the rest of the population. We mustn't be infected.

Mr Smiley is certainly a unique character. He seems rather odd at first, and their only goal is to keep us happy, the reason behind it later on being revealed to be because his two daughters are being held hostage. And it works. We gain a penpal. We become happier, for whatever brief amount of time. Sort of like the effects therapy and drugs have on our psyche. However, they might not always work. Eventually, the benefits might start to dwindle, and we shall once more find ourselves at square one with our depression, and so, Mr Smiley departs.

Charlotte is a random stranger from a bakery who begins to write to us from lack of companionship. Her mood drastically changes in the letters, until eventually she speaks of no longer being able to go on. Charlotte offers us a different perspective of how suicide affects us all. Despite being a virtual stranger to us, we grow fond of her, and her death strikes a chord in our hearts. She demonstrates the lasting effect one can have on another individual, such as the beautiful music we heard from her phonograph one lonely evening. It may seem small, but it lasts, and her departure leaves a gaping hole in our chests.

Now, our friend, Salvadore. He is far from our world, deep in nature, exploring his own adventure and doing as he wishes with his life. He sends us gifts and letters, retelling his experience and expresses his miss for us. We don't respond. He eventually realizes something is wrong. He notices the symptoms. He frantically makes his way home, to where he discovers it is not how he left it. The signs become obviously clear. He makes his way to us, telling us not to give up, that he shall arrive. Until he reaches an obstacle. The prison. Our mind's blockade. And when he attempts shutting off the power, he is electrocuted.

Throughout the game, characters vaguely mention us being high up. High up? In a prison? Unless once more, there is symbolism. A rooftop, perhaps. We are at the edge, about to make a decision that we can't take back. And Salvadore, our friend, died trying to help us, maybe showing that however good our friends' intentions are, if we are so caught up within our inner turmoil, we may drag them down with us. But throughout all this, there has been one obvious villain, one obvious antagonist who wishes for Mr Salvadore to quit speaking with us, who wishes for us to remain in our cell forever.

Mr Money. He sets up Mr Smiley to provide us happiness, though in all the letters, it is evidently fake, ingenuine. Mr Money is the one handing out the antidote, worsening the infection, the situation as a whole. He is the one who keeps us imprisoned in isolation, who so desperately wishes for us to cut off all communication with the outside.

He is human's worst enemy. Our minds.

A Look At Stuff You Probably Never Heard Of: Cells at Work

I've been wanting to take a look at this one for a good long while. Alongside animals and mythology, I do have an interest in biology, but more out of curiosity rather than any intense interest. This anime is something akin to Seton Academy, being an edutainment anime that's comedic while being education. Today, we'll be taking a look at... Cells at Work!

Cells at Work is an anime series based on the manga of the same name by Akane Shimizu. The anime itself being a edutainment comedy series, as mentioned before with a focus on biology, being animated by David Productions, the same company known for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime.

The anime itself aired from July 8th, 2018 to February 27th, 2021 across 2 seasons and a special.

The series takes place within the body of a human; their age, name, and gender are all unknown, as they aren't the focus. As stated previously, the series takes place within their body.

The first character introduced is Red Blood Cell, otherwise known as AE3803, working her first day as a red blood cell. Of course, her job is to delivery oxygen, nutrients, and carbon dioxide across the body. But due to it being her first day (and a problem exclusive to her), she quickly finds herself getting lost. Red Blood Cell herself is rather scatter-brained and panics very easily, not to mention she gets distracted very easily as well. Nevertheless, she remains dedicated to her task, come hell or high water, no matter how many times she gets lost.

As she's trying to figure out where to go, the body gets attacked by a group of Pneumococcus bacteria, bacteria capable of causing pneumonia. Just as Red Blood Cell is about to be attacked, White Blood Cell (specifically a Neutrophil), otherwise known as U-1146 comes in and saves her, quickly dispatching the bacteria. White Blood Cells quickly finds himself accompanying Red Blood Cell on her route, both to help her find her way and because he keeps detecting a Pneumococcus bacteria, but can't tell where it is. White Blood Cell, despite his stoic demeanor, is a friendly individual who cares for all the other cells within the body, doing everything he can to protect them. But still kills bacteria with extreme prejudice.

There are also characters such as Killer T Cell, who is also a part of the Immune System, but targets infected/unhealthy/harmful cells alongside foreign entities; Macrophage/Monocytes, who are the strongest of the immune system, but also take the role of nurturing monocytes (juvenile red blood cells); and Platelets, cells specifically meant to patch up holes so more bacteria can't enter the body.

Being an edutainment series, Cells at Work balances comedy with information, such as the above image referring to the process of "Phagocytosis", in which immune cells can consume and absorb foreign entities, neutralizing them as a result.

And so, here's my Final Recommendation: Never Let Go Of It||Get It||Hold Onto It||Try It||Consider It||Stay Away From It

I've already compared the series to the likes of Seton Academy, both mixing education with entertainment. However, Cells at Work has pretty much no fanservice, unlike Seton Academy.

I also want to mention that many character design elements are taken from their real-world equivalents. For example, Neutrophil. When people think of "White Blood Cell", odds are they're specifically thinking of the Neutrophil, being the first line of defense against invaders, and the most common among the White Blood Cells. Also, Macrophage's frilly dress references how real-life Macrophages look when viewed from a microscope. And NK Cell gets a power boost from laughing, just like how real-life Natural Killer Cells are empowered when you laugh. Similar to Killer T Cells, their job is to kill infected cells; cells infected by viruses or cancer cells.

I also want to give special mention to the platelets. In real-life, platelets only live for 7 to 10 days. So to references their incredibly short life-span, the platelets show are children, complete with childish mannerisms.

Speaking of life spans, the series doesn't abide by those rules. As stated, platelets only live for 7 to 10 days. Similarly, neutrophils only live for about 20 days at maximum, though most are expected to die fighting foreign invaders. So yeah, you can see why that wasn't included.

The show also doesn't just do bacteria, though they are typically a significant threat and pop up as a result of whatever happens to the body, ranging from an injury to heat stroke, or even Hemorrhagic Shock (a serious blow that results in a massive loss of blood in the area).

The series does also explain things that not many people know, as as transmigration, the ability immune system cells have that allow them to travel pretty much anywhere (IRL, they can go pretty much anywhere to track down bacteria). It also explains how allergies work (basically, the immune system overreacts with a particular object, thinking it to be a threat when it isn't. This applies to common seasonal allergies, as well as food allergies.

And before I end this, I also want to say that the series does have a few spin-offs. Cells at Work: BLACK focuses on Cells living in the body of someone who doesn't take care of themselves (the host is also directly stated to be male), Cells at Work: Bacteria focuses on friendly bacteria that live in the body, and Cells at Work: Baby focuses on cells within a newborn infant trying to figure things out. Of course, there are many others.

Now, before I go, I would like to share the intro. The dubbed intro! Remember that? We don't see those too often anymore. And yes, that's Billy Kametz. He's the dubbed voice of White Blood Cell.

I think I will start by answering this question. Let's go!!!

So Denied Cellar (or just Denied) is the Baldi replacement in a very, VERY old Baldi retexture-type mod (or fangame, as I like to refer to those), simply called Denied's Basics. Basics in what? Idk. What I do know is that Denied is based on a friend, DeniedCellarTV.

So, the game. It released on July 10th, 2018, by some guy named Le Billy (or Billter nowadays, who doesn't associate with Baldi anymore). Just over one month after BBC v1.3 released! Denied is predated ONLY by Advanced Education With Viktor Strobovski (AEWVS). And since it's being said to not refer to the latter as a fangame (or Baldi-related), this then makes Denied the currently OLDEST fangame to exist! ISN'T THAT FUCKING COOL OR WHAT-

Due to his skin (or general color scheme), many have taken to interpreting him as some kind of sea creachure, myself included. Usually in the form of a fishman hybrid (though personally I think he's a merman >:) ).

So when he chases you, he slaps his arm around. Apparently it's a very strong attack! Some have interpreted this into a blade, which I think is even more deadly. As for me, good ol' claws will do.

He also apparently talks like a pirate? But only when he's angy? I don't get it, his game isn't very pirate-y at all. If you ignore the YTP messages you would've never known.

Imagine this…. Bayley goes to wrestlemania wins the title from io. Either moments after she win or the smackdown after she wins Sasha banks returns. Now last time Sasha and bayley collided or cross paths storyline wise was when Bayley betrayed her and they fought in hell in a cell with Sasha ending Bayley historic 380 day reign.

I will say damage control is bayley’s karma. Bayley created the force that is damage control she helped them achieve things etc only for io someone who bayley thought of as family + friend was influenced by her friends to betray bayley. The same way Sasha who helped Bayley throughout her career and made history beside her and thought of Bayley as family as her sister only for Bayley to betray her. Some could say the heel version Bayley we got was a result of the influence Sasha had on Bayley and that could parallel to Bayley and damage control. With Bayley being the monster Sasha created and damage control being the monster Bayley created. And Sasha overcame Bayley and now Bayley may overcome io and win the title.

Now granted bayley is not the same person now that she was when she betrayed Sasha at least not fully the same person.

I remeber a segment the two had back in 2018 when they had tension and they went that counseling sessions and later Sasha would help bayley during a match and Sasha said backstage “I love you, I always have and I always will” but she also said “it’s one thing for me to beat you up”. Now Sasha stilled cared about Bayley even after Bayley betrayed her we can tell from the hell in a cell match and the emotion they radiated. But storyline wise we could Sasha comes back not specifically to take the title from Bayley but to climb her way back to the top of the division. Sasha can through a feud with Bianca cause personally I wanna see a rematch or she could fued with some else. Anyway Sasha could end up winning the rumble and choosing Bayley. Now Bayley and Sasha outside of wwe has always talked about one day facing each other at wrestlemania specifically the main event and when Sasha wins the rumble with that thought of that in mind would go on to choose Bayley. They would have a segment….

And Sasha could say “I meant what I said bayley all those years ago.. your my sister and I love you and despite everything that has happened between us, despite the fact that I may never forgive you ik that but I also know there is not a thing in this world that’s gonna stop me from kicking your ass and taking away that championship from you so what do you say bayley, how about one more fight?

Bayley says well it was always our dream and who am I to deprive the wwe universe of a match like this so for old times I sake I say, your on sister.

Bayley line parallels when Sasha wanted to beat Bayley for the nxt women’s championship at respect and Bayley said your on sister….

And they shake hands after which is something that could happen again as they both stand in middle of the ring and the wrestlemania sign could been seen between them.

A loaded gun, a letter, and two options.

One: Valant could, as instructed, shoot the sleeping man in front of him. The one that brought him up as a magician, made his life a living hell after a trick gone wrong, and brought about “a golden age in stage magic.” If he shot him, while his magic would die, the guilt that came with her death would die with him, and he wouldn’t even need to be within a mile’s reach of a jail cell. And yet, he looked at the stage pistol in his right hand with hesitation.

His second option was to put the gun down, turn around, and leave the room, pretending nothing happened and leaving magnifi to die naturally. He could just leave without blood on his hands. After all, that man would die anyway: It was only a matter of time. 

He already taken one person’s life with his hands; Whats wrong with another? Oh, who was he kidding? What kind of sociopath would think that? It’s someone’s life for god’s sake, not to mention his mentor’s life! But he knew the old man; he had no clue how to act normally, nor what was right or wrong. He lived tip toeing that line, and that rubbed off on Zak and him. They would pay the price for him on that matter, though. But he also needed to live: The fact he was chosen as a Gramarye proved that. Unless..

Do i shoot? Or do i put the gun down? Just having the pistol reminded him of that incident, three years ago. Shoot, or not? Shoot or not? Shoot or not? The room felt suffocating, as if it was closing in on him. Shootornoshootornotshootornotshootornotshootor-

Before he knew it, he was turned around toward the door, the gun put neatly back on the tray of Magnifi Gramarye’s hospital room. He knew he couldn’t. He just couldn’t. 

“That.. is the wrong answer.”

And that day, April 13th, 2018, the rest of the Gramaryes’ lives were ruined.

Zak had always been better than valant. To Valant, all that had any personal experience with Troupe Gramarye knew this as a fact. Magnifi only confirmed it, his worst nightmare, and he had no choice but to leave with his head down and spirit shattered.

I gave the rights to my magic to Zak Gramarye. Please.. support him. Like hell he would! F or years, Zak had taken everything he wanted: The role of star pupil, Thalassa’s adoration (not that he really seeked it, but still), the skill and wit of a professional magician, and now, Magnifi’s performance rights. And the worst part? He respected him for it. For he was a good man, and that was the thing he hated him for.

When Thalassa’s husband died, she was inconsolable. Looking back, she was mentally still just a teenager. Valant knew not of the life (or lives, or bracelet) she’d left behind her in coming back to Troupe Gramarye. In his naive, young mind, he believed she would eventually get over the entire thing. With the luxury of retrospect, they really had never been normal, all four of them, he thought. and so, he never tried to comfort her. but Zak did.

In his mind, that mind blinded by the spotlight, the fame Troupe Gramarye earned would be a delightful distraction for Thalassa. She was a Gramarye at heart, had been for 17 years; all of them yearned for the stage in the beginning. They were busier than ever, and if he couldn’t support her off stage, then on stage would have to do. He was helping in the best way he could, right? But he never asked how he could help her, and so, Zak swoops in to remedy the tragedy that was Thalassa’s life.  

Zak-no, Shadi- and Thalassa were always a little bit closer than Valant was to the latter. It took years, but slowly and surely, Thalassa got better with Enigmar’s help. And what followed was Trucy Enigmar, who literally and figuratively brought new life to the Troupe. As if it was a fairytale, everything had seemed to start looking up for them again. But of course, it all went wrong. With the same gun as the one on the tray and a singular bullet. BANG.

Zak lost his wife, Valant his dearest friend, Magnifi his daughter, and Trucy her mother. And worst of all, they couldn’t blame the other for her death because it could have very well been themselves that pierced Thalassa Gramarye-Enigmar’s head.

So, for once in my life, let me be the one who’s better than him, Valant thought as he stood upon the sleeping man that would no longer wake.

At least he can be with his daughter.

I have a couple, which are mostly just ships I don't see the dynamic for and think are kinda overrated. Red Velvet x Pastry from Cookie Run: Kingdom is my least favorite for sure. I love the characters separately but there's no way I could see them kissing. Something about Pastry fundamentally hating Red Velvet for being part cake and not really questioning that hatred makes me go bleh.

ohmygod yes. I've been doing digital art since 2018 and uh. I sure have gotten better. Here's the earliest digital art I still have:

My word. Who let me touch an art tablet. I couldn't even color inside the lines T-T The airbrush, the misused gaussian blur, the god-awful cell shading, this is the embodiment of a beginner artist on DeviantArt.

Ironically all the techniques I used with that are ones I still use. cell-shaded characters with 'painted' backgrounds is still how I draw, I'm just considerably better at it. Here's some recent-ish art that uses the same methods! (+layer masks and filters. I didn't know what a clipping layer was in 2018 lmao) I definitely haven't posted before no sir.

and for writing? Gah. I don't even want to open my early fanfics they are SO BAD. I'll find a snippet of one of my early warframe works, but I apologize in advance for spelling/grammar I was a twelve year old with dyslexia. Here's two very similar scenes (an unconscious, dying character who isn't really aware of where they are being comforted), one is from a 2018 warframe fanfiction and the other I wrote recently. It's uh. A little bit of a difference. (other then that Solar lives and V2 doesn't)

Another? Alright then! Even in the canon events of Ultrakill I don't really think V2 is that aggressive. Look they run away crying with their head in their hands. They bow politely. That robot wants to curl up with a blanket but unfortunately hell says its time to kill 98420934 people.

I also think V2 has better hygiene then V1. Just in general. I think they try to keep themselves mostly clean and smelling nice. It didn't like greed because the sand got stuck in its armor and started getting caught in pistons and such, and there wasn't anywhere to wash it off. Plus a couple layers of blood and the poor thang just feels nasty.

Why I started watching WWE again

The earliest memory I have of professional wrestling is The Undertaker/Yokozuna feud. This fond memory was the catalyst to moulding my enjoyment to this form of entertainment.

Years later I began watching WWE/WWF on a full-time basis because it was aired weekend mornings. The Stone Cole Steve Austin/Vince McMahon feud hooked me. As a child, it was an awesome to see an authority type figure getting their ass kicked. Both McMahon and Austin produced classics moments in wrestling history. I bought PPV’s on VHS such as St Valentine’s Day Massacre. I must of watched that tape a couple of times a day over the next few weeks.

WWE became a part of my life. I made it my business to watch Raw and Smackdown every week; I even watched Velocity and Sunday Night Heat. I couldn't get enough! I tried to get my hands on stuff from independents and in 2004 I did some pro wrestling training. But if WWE was such an important part of my life then why did I stop watching it?

2017 wasn’t the worst year in WWE. The Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens feud was fantastic, The Hardyz returned, Kurt Angle was inducted into the Hall of Fame, The Shield reunited, and Samoa Joe made his debut. Despite all of this, a babyface Roman Reigns just couldn’t get over and Jinder Mahal was WWE Champion. I’m not even going to go into the House of Horrors match, but it was something. But it’s OK to have bad moments. They can teach you to never repeat those mistakes again…or can they?

2018 was worse. Some moments left a bad taste in my mouth such as Dean Ambrose turning heel on his fellow Shield member, Seth Rollins. This was the same night that Roman announced that he had leukemia. What the fuck was Vince thinking? The storyline was uglier than a dog’s dinner. Dean would leave the company less than a year later. WWE also went into a controversial deal with Saudi Arabia. The Saudi PPV saw Shane McMahon win WWE World Cup tournament becoming the ‘’Best in the World’’.  This is the same PPV where Shawn Michaels came out of retirement for an awful tag team bout. The worst part to 2018 was on December 17, when Vince McMahon came to the ring followed by Stephanie McMahon, HHH and Shane. Stephanie would go on to say ‘’We haven’t been doing a good for you lately.’’ She would rattle on about not listening to us, the fans. We were told that we were now the authority. This was such a surreal moment.

Months prior we got the first All In PPV that would eventually lead to the formation of All Elite Wrestling. The All In card was stacked and displayed some incredible matches that left me wanting more. I started to binge watch BTE on YouTube as well as a history The Bullet Club. I began to attend Irish wrestling shows from Over The Top Wrestling. The first shows I went to featured Will Ospreay, Gunther and Pac. Seeing new talent and the interesting ways they told stories was refreshing. Witnessing smaller promotions putting on better shows compared to a billion-dollar company creating mediocre content was shocking to me.

Appointing us - the fans - as the authority figure was a great rib by WWE as they continued to sling crap in our faces as 2019 saw The Undertaker battling Goldberg in another Saudi show that resulted embarrassing bout. You can visibly see the disappointed on Taker's face post-match. Kurt Angle would have his retirement match against Baron Corbin. Angle is on my mount Rushmore, so for his career to lead to anti-climax was a disgrace. Seth Rollins was on a babyface run and I was enjoying it, until the infamous Hell in the Cell match with The Fiend. This match should have been a decent bout, but the arena was casted in ugly red light and the finish came in form a DQ. During a live reaction broadcast WWE were putting out at the time, X-Pac said ‘’You may not ask me back for one of these but how do you get DQ’d in a Hell in a fricking Cell match.’’ I often ask myself this. Things would get worse when Kofi Kingston was squashed in seven seconds against Brock Lesner. Kofi’s six-month title reign came to an abrupt and miserable end and so did my love for WWE. At this point I felt cheated and insulted. How can I continue to watch a product that simply didn't care?

At the tail end of 2019, AEW was launched. The new promotion featured new faces, different styles of wrestling and an opportunity for talent to thrive. I gravitated towards this. I periodically watched WWE clips, but it was clear Vince was out of touch. Talent were also fired during the pandemic. It was as if Vince didn't care anymore. Remembers Erik Rowen’s spider? On top of all this, Vince's scandal was aired across the internet. During this insane time, Vinny had the balls to appear on Smackdown just to wave his ego around.

So, what's changed?

I watched night 1 of WrestleMania and I was impressed. The highlight was Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair. I liked what I saw with the Bloodline storyline. It was great to see Cody Rhodes, and a heel Dominik Mysterio intrigued me. I kept up with things and noticed consistent story telling. With Vince gone, it felt like everything was moving in a cohesive way. Yes, Vince gave us years of entertainment, but he also held on for too long and it was clear it was causing damage.

I decided to tune back into WWE full time and write about my viewing experience. If you’ve read my past posts, then you know that I still have issues with WWE, but I’ve never seen a promotion do anything perfect. I think WWE do a much better job with their women’s division and keeping storylines simple and clear, but they lack on match quality with many silly finishes. They play things safe, but that's okay. For now I'm enjoying the ride. And that's good enough.

Even though I've got concerns about AEW, I still think they're going to be okay in the long run.

In some circles there's been doom and gloom about AEW from the beginning, but it's been hard to ignore since late 2022. CM Punk's (first) backstage fight in AEW had a lot to do with that. But I think Vince McMahon's (first) departure from WWE gave people hope that WWE would stop sucking, and for a lot of fans "WWE sucks" is the only reason for AEW to exist. So when Punk finally left AEW...and landed on his feet in WWE, the dread intensified. And now Vince is gone once and for all (again), and WWE is riding high after a Wrestlemania season free of Vince's bullshit.

None of this really changes my perspective, because I quit WWE 5½ years ago and I'm still not tempted to go back. To keep me happy, AEW only has to be better than WWE was between 2011 (guest referee Steve Austin's decision overruled by talking laptop) and 2018 (Hell in a Cell title bout ends with no finish), which is a very low bar to clear. I mean, New Japan can run three House of Torture matches in one show and I'll still like "well, at least it's not WWE." WWE just put their (actual) world title on the co-creator of AEW and I'm just sorta "Good for him! Anyway..."

Even so, I'll admit that WWE has tons of momentum lately, and it's tough to be #2 when #1 is on a hot streak. But that doesn't automatically mean AEW is on a downward spiral. I don't necessarily want AEW to be cooling off, but a cooled-off AEW can still deliver good shows and endure until they figure out how to get hot again. The biggest factor is what kind of TV rights package they can lock in later this year. And while it's possible WBD could suddenly decide to drop AEW, I'm pretty sure somebody out there will pay at least $100 million to air AEW programming somewhere.

The worst-case scenario for AEW is if they have to shrink and become a little more niche. That's a problem for attracting WWE fans who want their wrestling to be as huge and mainstream as WWE. But I never needed AEW to be huge or mainstream in the first place, so even the worst-case scenario sounds fine to me. And I'm pretty sure they'll do better than the worst-case scenario.
