Family Feud Nominations, Who is the Best Doctor Who Family
If I've missed a character out of one of the families let me know (within reason, I imagine all these families are massive in the EU, so prioritise tv or significant characters)
Currently, the only rule is no families may inculde anyone who is even ambiguously The Doctor, it'll get super complicated super fast imo
Any characters, eg River, who can link up multiple different families to create a single massive family unit will be treated on a case by case basis. If it is possible to pick one of the smaller family units that they are a part of to include them in while not including them in any of the others (in a way everyone will agree at least makes sense) they will be included in that family only, otherwise they will not be included
Please bare in mind when you are nominating that I am hoping to keep the number of nominations under 64 to run this as a mini-tournament. This is not a hard rule so if nominations do exceed 64 its not a big deal, just something I'd like everyone to bare in mind

Monday 21 August 1837
7 ¼
11 ½
slept with A- very fine morning F65° now at 8 ¼ and breakfast in ½ hour – then out – about while A- got ready – off with her in the carriage at 9 40 and out all the day – in Stainland – at Marsden – returned thro’ Huddersfield, and back at 9 50 – fine morning but high wind – at Mr. Outrams’ in ¾ hour at 10 25 – A- went to see what ground he wanted off her holme – it turned out that he wanted room for a cart road into his garden and all his talk about the expense of moving the stuff was [hereby] for he had laid it where he wanted it for the purpose of making his road which road he had now hinted at before and it never came out by accident – seeing A- did not at all at once consent to let him take all he wanted he let out that she had no right of road to the holme along his Outram’s road – both A- and I caught at this – both of us supposed O- had given all necessary right of road in return for A-‘s giving him leave to change the goit-course, and so we told O- he explained that the right of road was given only the farm to [Ann hey] – oh! oh! thought I and gave O- to understand that now it seemed A- had a bargain to make, not a mere favour of grant – which she would have had much more pleasure in doing than in making a mere bargain – of which A- said she would consider – O- saw all was not right – we went in for a few minutes to see his shawls but would not take wine or cake – ¾ hour there and off again at 11 10 thinking less highly of O- than we had done before – unhandsome to keep back the a right of road to the holme A- having no idea of it – she promised him the 200 yards of ground not knowing what he wanted it for, but believing that he had had handsome given her all the right of road she could want – she says she had right of road to the farm under the old agreement made by her uncle –so that O- with all his talk had given her nothing – stopped 10 minutes at the turnpike cottage near William Hirsts of moor [miers.] and off from the cottage at 11 50 – then a few minutes at William Hirst’s – A- promised him 2 or 3 new gates – then drove forwards and got out at the top of the Lane turning down to Stone Royde at 12 10 the carriage to wait for us at the public house the coach and horses close-by the son (Joseph Schofield) of the tenant soon joined us in the Lane, and walked with us past the plantation wants a little thinning and dressing and house all long the valley over the grass and latterly rough heather to see A-‘s allotment of waste = about 9 ½ acres very near the head of the valley and opening on to the highroad at the top – wild country – A-‘s allotment partly walled round with stone and partly with sod-embankment – she comes down to ground bought about 18 acres+ for the top reservoir to be formed for the supply of water to the mills below – A- tired – Joseph Schofield’s older brother had joined us – on reaching the highroad sent him to the Inn (about a mile off) for the carriage – the Schofields get turf for burning at the top of the allotment near the highroad – A- thought Joseph S- had best be tenant as he was already partner with his father in the cattle etc. had paid ½ the last ½ years rent, and had offered security for the rent in future – but on Joseph’s wishing A- to mention this to the father, A- thought the father had best settle it himself – walked about ½ the way back to the carriage and got in at 2 5 – Joseph S- asked for something to drink, and A- asked me to give him and his brother 1/. a piece which I did – rough road down the Marsden or rather down to Slaithwaite at 2 ¾ A- being nervous we walked down the greater part of the rough steep descent – got into the great Manchester road on crossing the bridge from S- and alighted at the New Inn (a little distance from Marsden) at 3 5 – desired that George and William Wilkinson should dine and bait the horses, and we ordered trout and cold roast beef to be ready in an hour and set off to walk to the canal tunnel at 3 ¼ - went along the new road now making to save the steepness of the ascent of Stanedge (the equivalent in this place of Blackstone edge on the Halifax and Rochdale road) and crossed the river (Holme river I suppose) and then walked along the canal towing path up to the mouth of the tunnel – seems about 9ft. wide? and 8 or 9 ft. high? 3 or 4 laden vessels lying about all belonging to Dowse – the great man here – a millar –a smoke smell of gas coming out of the tunnel – the woman living by (her husband takes care of the regulation of the water and sees that the boats start at the right hours) said it was the smoke of the fires and candles of the boats gone thro’ – tunnel 3 ¼ miles long – opens into Saddleworth 5 miles from Delf which us 12 miles from Manchester – a light boat with 4 laggers would go thro’ in 1 ½ hour – a heavy boat takes 4 hours –
Boats go from the Marsden end at 6am 2 and 10 pm
ditto - - Saddleworth ditto at 2 and 10 am and 6 pm
the woman thought Mr. Dowse would let us have a boat and 4 laggers for 10/. and the carriage might meet us at the Saddleworth end
Back at the new Inn and dinner at 4 ¼ - A- dined on the trout and potatoes and a little cheese and I on the 2 first + a little hot apple tart – En route again at 5 20 – we had had a 2nd bottle of ginger beer and our own wine – and paid for ourselves 3/2 servants eating and ale ¾ Horses hay and corn 1/6. and gave the woman waiter 1/. – George asked for something for the ostler but I said I had nothing to do with him – paying for the hay corn and postboys’ eating and driving and taking care of his horses, what have I to do with ostlers? – alighted at Mr. John Haigh’s at Honely at 6 50 not at home then in 10 minutes walked up to his brother Mr. Joseph Haighs’ – not at home – a nephew there walked back with us till we met with Mr. Richard Haigh (tenants to A- for her Honley mills and to Lord Dartmoor for a profitable colliery) – Mr. RH. walked with us to shew the wearing of the water course they want doing – he said 2 men at 3/6 per day would do all that was necessary in 5 days (4 or 5 days) – and get the stones and all, for the stone would be got in the water course itself – it was 7 ¾ before we got into the carriage again – stopped a few minutes a little way before Huddersfield to give the horses oatmeal and water (8d.) and as I supposed George and the postoby took each a dam – drove thro’ Huddersfield and Halifax, and at home at 9 50 Mr. Gray lighted us into the house then retired and A- and I had tea and strawberries in the little dining room till 10 40 – fine day, but high wind, and much incommoded by dust

GLASS AND GARDENS: SOLARPUNK WINTERS
This anthology envisions winters of the future, with stories of scientists working together to protect narwhals from an oil spill, to bring snow back to the mountains of Maine, to preserve ecosystems—even if they have to be under glass domes. They're stories of regular people rising to extraordinary circumstances to survive extreme winter weather, to fix a threat to their community's energy source, to save a living city from a deep-rooted sickness. Some stories take place after an environmental catastrophe, with luxury resorts and military bases and mafia strongholds transformed into sustainable communes; others rethink the way we could organize cities, using skybridges and seascrapers and constructed islands to adapt to the changes of the Anthropocene. Even when the nights are long, the future is bright in these seventeen diverse tales:
“Wings of Glass” by Wendy Nikel “Halps’ Promise” by Holly Schofield “A Shawl for Janice” by Sandra Ulbrich Almazan “The Healing” by Sarah Van Goethem “The Fugue of Winter” by Steve Toase “The Roots of Everything” by Heather Kitzman “Viam Inveniemus Aut Faciemus” by Tales from the EV Studio and Commando Jugendstil “Recovering the Lost Art of Cuddling” by Tessa Fisher “Oil and Ivory” by Jennifer Lee Rossman “Orchidaceae” by Thomas Badlan “The Things That Make It Worth It” by Lex T. Lindsay “Glâcehouse” by R. Jean Mathieu “Snow Globe” by Brian Burt “Rules for a Civilization” by Jerri Jerreat “On the Contrary, Yes” by Catherine F. King “Set the Ice Free” by Shel Graves “Black Ice City” by Andrew Dana Hudson
GLASS AND GARDENS: SOLARPUNK WINTERS will be available in ebook and paperback on January 7, 2020. Order the paperback directly through World Weaver Press, and receive it by December 20th! THE PINKERTON FILE ON COCO SMITH
The following is the notes that have been compiled on the outlaw known as Coco Smith by various agents within the Pinkerton Agency.
While the agency has no actual name and official identification for Smith, the alias they use most often is Coco Smith, thus the agency have used it. Other aliases include Joan Dark, Mary Catherine Borgia, Marilyn West, Jayne Harlow, Marian Hawke, Jane Shepard, Penelope Weaver, Heather McCain, Brigid O’Shea, Therese Lourdes, Teresa Bernini, and Lucrezia Caravaggio.
Smith has been implicated in several murders, thefts, kidnappings, and cons, however no investigation has produced anything concrete. But due to the amount of crimes Smith has appeared to be involved with, the agency has decided to keep an eye on her.
Known and suspected associates include Sean MacGuire (outlaw and known associate of Dutch Van Der Linde), Josiah Trelawney (conman and another associate of Van Der Linde), Clive Davies and Clay Davies (brothers and known horse thieves), Madam Nazar (supposed psychic and ‘seller of exotic goods’), Flaco Hernandez (known outlaw, also wanted by the agency), and Marko Dragic (Serbian inventor).
It has been noted that she is particularly hated by members of the Lemoyne Raiders, and what appears to be remaining members of the defunct Ku Klux Klan.
Opinions are oddly divided on Smith, with some seeing her as a no good outlaw, and others believing her to be a helpful, Robin Hood-esque figure. The latter reputation appears to be most common among the lower classes, although some officials and elites have been known to speak favourably of her.
The agency is currently aware of five horses that appear to be in Smith’s possession; Augustus a male palomino Morgan, Cleopatra a female white Arabian, Hypatia a female amber champagne Missouri Fox Trotter, Caesar a male strawberry roan Ardennes, and Robin Goodfellow a male black Kladruber. Robin Goodfellow is noted as being particularly aggressive and has been known to attack and even kill. There are rumours that it cannibalizes other horses but this is almost certainly untrue, and the rumour was perhaps started by Smith herself.
Smith owns a number firearms and does not appear to favour in particular. Due to the amount of them, they have been itemized for ease.
A pair of Schofield Revolvers, both of which have a pearl grip, long barrels, all gold metals, art nouveau engravings with brass inlay, with a simple and stylized lion head carved on each grip. These revolvers are said to be called Helen and Cassandra.
A pair of Cattleman Revolvers, both of which have an ebony grip, long barrels, all silver metals, ornamental engravings with blued steel inlay, with a simple and stylized crab carved on each grip. These revolvers are said to be called Ophelia and Juliet.
A pair of Double Action Revolvers, both of which have an ironwood grip, long barrels, all blackened steel metals, Victorian engravings with brass inlay, with a simple and stylized ram head carved on each grip. These revolvers are said to be called Morgana and Vivienne.
A Bolt Action Rifle, with all iron metals, baroque engravings with blackened steel inlay, chocolate leather wrap, and a cherry varnish. This rifle is said to be called Hector.
A Rolling Block Rifle, with all blackened steel metals, ornamental engravings with gold inlay, and a dark walnut varnish. This rifle is said to be called Achilles.
A Carcano Rifle, with all silver metals, Victorian engravings with blackened steel inlay, and a dark walnut varnish. This rifle is said to be called Patroclus.
A Pump Action Shotgun, with a long barrel, all nickel metals, art nouveau engravings with brass inlay, and mahogany varnish. This shotgun is said to be called Freyr.
A Double Barrelled Shotgun, with a long barrel, all silver metals, baroque engravings with gold inlay, and mahogany varnish. This shotgun is said to be called Freya.
Smith’s talents appear to be varied and numerous. Thus far the agency has concluded that she is proficient, if not fluent, in no less than thirteen languages aside from English (Italian, French, Spanish, Russian, German, Hebrew, Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Navajo, Sioux, Apache, and Cherokee). According to reports from undercover agents she is also proficient in piano and violin, and can sing. She also appears to have some decent knowledge of modern medicine, as well as herbal remedies according to multiple sources outside of the agency. Highly skilled survivalist, as she has been seen camping in different regions, from New Austin, to Lemoyne, to even the Grizzlies. There is no doubt that Smith is as intelligent as they are conniving and cunning and slippery.
No official background has been discovered, and she changes her story everywhere she goes. It is clear she was extremely well educated as a child and into adulthood, but how she got the education is unknown, much like everything else.
One field agent noted that she appears to have a particular disdain for gambling, as he invited her to join a game of poker and she appeared to be disgusted at the suggestion. However this could have been part of the act she was portraying at the time.
The agency knows much and yet very little about Smith. She is often described as an enigmatic figure, supposedly just materializing out of nowhere like some kind of character from folklore.
Smith’s attitude towards the law appears to change from one hour to the next, but she is to be regarded as extremely dangerous and deceitful. Ideally the agency requests she be brought in alive for questioning, but if she resits agents have permission to kill.

Announcing Winners WGA Awards 2019: ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?,’ ‘Eighth Grade’
In a pair of upsets, “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” has won the Writers Guild of America’s adapted screenplay award for Nicole Holofcener and Jeff Whitty and Bo Burnham has won the original screenplay award for “Eighth Grade.”
The major television trophies went to “The Americans,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Homeland” and “Barry” for the 71st Writers Guild Awards, held at dual ceremonies at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., and the Edison Ballroom in New York City. It was the last major awards show before the Feb. 24 Academy Awards.
“Can You Ever Forgive Me?,” based on the memoir of the late Lee Israel, topped the screenplays for “Black Panther,” “If Beale Street Could Talk” “A Star Is Born”; and “BlacKkKlansman.” Though the script for the comedy-drama — the story of how Israel discovered her talent for forgery — has received an Oscar nomination, “Beale Street” and “BlacKkKlansman” were regarded as the front-runners. It appears that the tale of the travails and redemption of a professional writer clearly resonated with Hollywood writers.
“I want to thank Lee,” Holofcener said in her acceptance. “She’d probably be sitting in the room judging all of us. She though she was the smartest person in the room and she probably was.”
A stunned Burnham credited star Elsie Fisher for his winning the WGA award. Burnham won over Alfonso Cuaron’s “Roma”; Adam McKay’s “Vice”; Bryan Woods, Scott Beck, and John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place”; and Peter Farrelly, Nick Vallelonga, and Brian Currie’s “Green Book.” “Roma,” “Vice” and “Green Book” are all nominated for Academy Awards along with “The Favourite” and “First Reformed” while “Eight Grade” did not receive an Oscar nod.
“Eighth Grade,” which stars Fisher as an awkward teen dealing with the final week of eighth grade, also won the first-time Directors Guild of America Award for Burnham on Feb. 2. The film is also up for four Spirit Awards on Feb. 23.
“To the other nominees in the category — Have fun at the Oscars, losers!” Burnham joked in his acceptance. “No, I prepared nothing. This all belongs to Elsie Fisher who performed the script. No one would care about the script if she hadn’t done it.”
“Eighth Grade” is the first film to win the WGA Original Screenplay award without being nominated for an Academy since Michael Moore’s “Bowling for Columbine” in 2003.
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” won the comedy series award for Kate Fodor, Noah Gardenswartz, Jen Kirkman, Sheila Lawrence, Daniel Palladino and Amy Sherman Palladino. Starring Rachel Brosnahan, “Mrs. Maisel” won the Emmy for best comedy series last year.
The final season of “The Americans” took the drama series award for Peter Ackerman, Hilary Bettis, Joshua Brand, Joel Fields, Sarah Nolen, Stephen Schiff, Justin Weinberger, Joe Weisberg and Tracey Scott Wilson.
Bill Hader and Alec Berg won the episodic comedy award for the opening segment of HBO’s “Barry,” “Chapter One: Make Your Mark” (“Barry”). They also won the new series award.
Stephanie Gillis won the animated award for the “Bart’s Not Dead” episode of “The Simpsons” — which was just renewed for its 31st and 32nd seasons by Fox — and showrunner Alex Gansa took the episodic drama award for the “Paean To The People” segment of “Homeland.” “Bathtubs Over Broadway” took the documentary award and “God of War” won the videogame trophy.
Hulu’s “Castle Rock” won the long-form original award and “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” took the adapted long-form trophy. “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” won the comedy-variety series cagtegory.
Chelsea Peretti hosted the West Coast ceremonies while Roy Wood Jr. was the emcee in New York. “All the glitz and glamor of the Oscars without the pressure of public interest,” Peretti said in her intro.
Jordan Peele’s horror-comedy “Get Out” won the WGA Award for original screenplay and James Ivory’s coming-of-age drama “Call Me by Your Name” won for adapted screenplay last year. Both went on to win the Oscar.
The WGA awards are mixed indicator of Oscar sentiment. Six of the last 10 WGA winners have gone on to win Academy awards over the past five years. The awards are decided in voting by the 17,000 members of the WGA.
The West Coast ceremonies included plenty of political commentary. Adam McKay, on receiving the WGA’s Paul Selvin Award for “Vice,” asked for a “beat of silence” for the million people who died during the invasion of Iraq.
Jenji Kohan, recipient of the Paddy Chayefsky Award, was unable to attend due to having to shoot the final episode of “Orange Is the New Black.” She said in a taped message: “I’ve been incredibly lucky to work with enormously funny and kind people. I love the people I work with. Life is too short to work with a******s, by the way. That’s my Public Service Announcement.”

7 ¼
Outrams’ in ¾ hour at 10 25 – A- went to see what ground he wanted off her holme – it turned out that he wanted room for a cart road into his garden and all his talk about the expense of moving the stuff was [hereby] for he had laid it where he wanted it for the purpose of making his road which road he had now hinted at before and it never came out by accident – seeing A- did not at all at once consent to let him take all he wanted he let out that she had no right of road to the holme along his Outram’s road – both A- and I caught at this – both of us supposed O- had given all necessary right of road in return for A-‘s giving him leave to change the goit-course, and so we told O- he explained that the right of road was given only the farm to [Ann hey] – oh! oh! thought I and gave O- to understand that now it seemed A- had a bargain to make, not a mere favour of grant – which she would have had much more pleasure in doing than in making a mere bargain – of which A- said she would consider – O- saw all was not right – we went in for a few minutes to see his shawls but would not take wine or cake – ¾ hour there and off again at 11 10 thinking less highly of O- than we had done before – unhandsome to keep back the a right of road to the holme A- having no idea of it – she promised him the 200 yards of ground not knowing what he wanted it for, but believing that he had had handsome given her all the right of road she could want – she says she had right of road to the farm under the old agreement made by her uncle –so that O- with all his talk had given her nothing – stopped 10 minutes at the turnpike cottage near William Hirsts of moor miers. and off from the cottage at 11 50 – then a few minutes at William Hirst’s – A- promised him 2 or 3 new gates – then drove forwards and got out at the top of the Lane turning down to Stone Royde at 12 10 the carriage to wait for us at the public house the coach and horses close-by the son (Joseph Schofield) of the tenant soon joined us in the Lane, and walked with us past the plantation wants a little thinning and dressing and house all long the valley over the grass and latterly rough heather to see A-‘s allotment of waste = about 9 ½ acres very near the head of the valley and opening on to the highroad at the top – wild country – A-‘s allotment partly walled round with stone and partly with sod-embankment – she comes down to ground bought about 18 acres+ for the top reservoir to be formed for the supply of water to the mills below – A- tired – Joseph Schofield’s older brother had joined us – on reaching the highroad sent him to the Inn (about a mile off) for the carriage – the Schofields get turf for burning at the top of the allotment near the highroad – A- thought Joseph S- had best be tenant as he was already partner with his father in the cattle etc. had paid ½ the last ½ years rent, and had offered security for the rent in future – but on Joseph’s wishing A- to mention this to the father, A- thought the father had best settle it himself – walked about ½ the way back to the carriage and got in at 2 5 – Joseph S- asked for something to drink, and A- asked me to give him and his brother 1/. a piece which I did – rough road down the Marsden or rather down to Slaithwaite at 2 ¾ A- being nervous we walked down the greater part of the rough steep descent – got into the great Manchester road on crossing the bridge from S- and alighted at the New Inn (a little distance from Marsden) at 3 5 – desired that George and William Wilkinson should dine and bait the horses, and we ordered trout and cold roast beef to be ready in an hour and set off to walk to the canal tunnel at 3 ¼ - went along the new road now making to save the steepness of the ascent of Stanedge (the equivalent in this place of Blackstone edge on the Halifax and Rochdale road) and crossed the river (Holme river I suppose) and then walked along the canal towing path up to the mouth of the tunnel – seems about 9ft. wide? and 8 or 9 ft.
Back at the new Inn and dinner at 4 ¼ - A- dined on the trout and potatoes and a little cheese and I on the 2 first + a little hot apple tart – En route again at 5 20 – we had had a 2
nd
bottle of ginger beer and our own wine – and paid for ourselves 3/2 servants eating and ale ¾ Horses hay and corn 1/6. and gave the woman waiter 1/. RH. walked with us to shew the wearing of the water course they want doing – he said 2 men at 3/6 per day would do all that was necessary in 5 days (4 or 5 days) – and get the stones and all, for the stone would be got in the water course itself – it was 7 ¾ before we got into the carriage again – stopped a few minutes a little way before Huddersfield to give the horses oatmeal and water (8d) and as I supposed George and the postoby took each a dam – drove thro’ Huddersfield and Halifax, and at home at 9 50 Mr. Gray lighted us into the house then retired and A- and I had tea and strawberries in the little dining room till 10 40 – fine day, but high wind, and much incommoded by dust
