Children of the MLA Leadership

Except for Geten, I refused to believe that none of them had children prior, especially Redestro and Trumpet.

For Redestro, he would definitely want to continue the Yotsubashi bloodline. For Trumpet, being a politician with kids helps with the public image.

The reason why I believe they would have children is that they want to raise a "new generation" and want them to live in a "liberated society" so they can use their quirks freely.

I already made a beautiful wife and young children for Trumpet. The wife's name is Shigemi Hanabata (花畑 茂美), also known as Preach (せっきょう/Sekkyō). She is a member like him and has a useful quirk called Propaganda (宣伝/Senden), an emitter type that causes people to believe everything the user says as long as they either trust or find them attractive. Their children have mixed variations of Incite and Propaganda, one of them being called Excite.

I read Mirrond's The Reason why the Second Meta-Liberation War is going to be Weird and saw their OC who is Redestro's teenage daughter named Ko. I found her to be cute and entertaining. This gave me a few ideas regarding that. Redestro is a doting overprotective dad to his teenage daughter whose quirk is similar to Stress but with anger. The name would be either Wrath or Rage. She even has her own codename.

For Curious and Skeptic, I have put that they are a couple that kept their marriage a secret from the public so Curious would be out of the public eye once she started showing. In the MHA AU, where Curious came out alive albeit with a broken leg, they have a baby boy whose quirk has not manifested yet but will come sooner than expected.

Hopefully, I will make more posts about this because this has so much potential.

Interesting how after last night's episode I ain't hearing a single peep from the Overusing The Word "Manipulation" Crowd.

Very interesting.

Is it, perhaps, because the one being "manipulative" is on Team Shoo Gods? Hmm?

Funny how sudden silence can tell a lot. It's all "manipulation" this and "abusive" that, right up until the characters being shat on say something that aligns with certain views.

I'm putting those words on top of the bookcase until the small pouty children learn to use them properly.

Mike Wheeler Is a Good Leader! That's a Fact! So Why Do the Characters Themselves Seem to Think Otherwise? :(

This is me genuinely asking. We know for a fact that Mike Wheeler is the leader of the party. It's literally been told to us by the Duffers. It's an indisputable fact; he makes the plans, is the first one to know where and when things need to happen, and makes sure the party stays on the right track. He's a great little leader! So why do the party themselves not seem to share this belief, or at least acknowledge Mike's intellect? Examples after the break.

In s1, Mike very clearly takes the leader role from the start, even being the one Hopper chooses to answer his questions. He's the one who starts the search for Will, makes most of the plans throughout the season, and blah blah blah (we've all seen s1 and I'll dive deeper into his leader qualities in my character analyses when I continue them). The Party doesn't seem to notice all of his plans and ideas being true though, and when he tells them they should leave the school in ep8, they don't listen and even argue with him. Next thing they know, the bad guys have found them. Big surprise, Mike was right!

In s2, they seem to acknowledge his role as leader more at the beginning, with the whole asking permission for Max to go trick-or-treating thing. But when he is suspicious about Dart, they don't seem to take his worries to heart. Or when he expresses his worry for Will multiple times and they just blow it off, but then... well, we all know what happens. Right again! And yes, again, the only way they successfully save Will and close the gate are because of (or because of the help of) Mike's plans.

In s3, I think we see more of them actually listening to him plan-wise, like with the sauna test, but then they completely disregard his leader-intellect/instinct about El overusing her powers. Big surprise, Mike's right for the millionth time!

Of course in s4 he's separated from the party so there's not much to go off of there, but I'm sure I could think of more examples of this from the previous seasons if it wasn't so late when I'm writing this.

The point I'm trying to make is that I find it really odd that the party doesn't have more trust in Mike as a leader after he's proven time and time again that it's his role and he plays it very well in the group. I know they always end up following his plans (and they work every time!), but it's not before they disregard everything he's saying at first despite him literally always being right. I seriously can't think of why this is the case, and maybe it's just because they're kids and are gonna question each other, but I thought it'd be interesting to point out since this pattern seems to happen over and over.

deeply niche post for only me, but here are my thoughts on what dnd classes the ck teens would play because I am nothing if not predictable

Miguel - this boy screams paladin so intensely I would be hard pressed to try and think of anything else he would play. The boy is just nice

Sam - I couldn’t explain it, but I think she would severely fuck with ranger, it’s just the vibe I get

Robby - I feel like knee jerk reaction would be to assume rogue, but I honestly don’t think he would. He’s giving me more sorcerer to be honest, particularly wild magic

Tory - every troubled teenage girl should get the chance to play a fucked up little warlock as a method of working out their complicated feelings about a manipulative older man in their life

Demetri - literally do I even have to say it? Wizard, next question

Eli - struggled immensely with this one. His particular penchant for violence obviously gives monk, but I fear that’s a cop out in the karate show, however as ascendant dragon he would get wings eventually which I feel he would severely enjoy. In a similar vein I could also see barbarian, but also hold my hand and see my vision for cleric Eli. I couldn’t tell you why, I feel it deep within my bones
