scoups: he can walk without a limp now!!! he's allowed to use treadmills and has been using cycling machines too. he's also realised rehab is going to take longer than he thought but he's also making great progress. he is stuck at home most of the time though and has found it very stuffy but he believes that being mentally healthy is important and will help him recover faster, so rn he's in tokyo for a very short trip (the group are there too hehe). full recovery takes 6-12 months so he won't be back at it for a while sadly.

We got good answers on the half-injured players from Peter at the press conference. So I'm not as worried as I could've been.

He mentioned he and a national team doctor had went to Milano, Barcelona and London. There he'd met with the club coaches while the doctor had met the clubs doctors. They've talked together with the players. Peter has a way better insight on each player's health and injury status than us on the outside. We just hear player this and that has been much injured, not played much.

And that is all we have to go on. We don't know what's been said in those meetings and we don't know that no one player is 100% healthy going into a championship. Everyone has some kind of issue. It's just a matter of how many game minutes each players have in the body for each game.

All Swewnt players are professionals. The players in foreign clubs will do their best to get in shape and top their form in off season. The national team's physiologist, not one of the three physiotherapists, helps them with that. There's also a back up plan in case of injury with players on standby at home. Injuries could happen after the team has travelled to NZ. It's a good idea to have the same approach as Peter on this: don't worry about it and deal with it if something happens later on.

It's like 40 days left until the World Cup starts. It's still time left for players to rest, heal up and find their form.
