You're cornered against the stone wall as you hold your hands up in surrender. You're disheveled, scared, and a little bit pissed at the fact you had a multitude of weapons pointed at you.

"Take her arms!" Bi Han yells for his brothers to apprehend you. They take your wrists roughly, bending them behind your back as you're kicked to your knees.

"Lord Liu Kang will know what to do with you, woman," he spits out.

"Oh no, put me out of my misery~~" you reply sassily. Bi Han presses the flat edge on your neck, but not without the high-pitched noise of a war cry and fire.

Fire dragons in red and blue appear from above, and they crash into the ground, not burning anything surprisingly. While the others are shocked, you smile happily.

"Enough! What is the meaning of this?!" Liu Kang cries out.

You get up, but the weapons still remain pointed at you as you try to close in on Liu Kang. He notices you, waving his champions to put their weapons down. You press your clothes down and introduce yourself.

You also explain that you're here from another timeline, and that you were just plucked out from your day.

"Another timeline incident..." Liu Kang mutters to himself. You nod, but you put your hand over your heart.

"I'm not a threat though, I promise! I barely got a hold of my fire powers..." you say sadly, forming a pitiful fire orb in your hands before it sputters and dissipates.

Johnny nudges Kenshi's shoulder, "Don'tcha think she looks a lot like..." Kenhsi looks at him with an incredulous look. Even with his eyes gouged out, he still remains as expressive as a man could be.

Liu Kang contemplates for a split second, before his signature smile is back on as he moves to the side to show you around.

"I will evaluate your claims later, but I sense no ill intent as of now. I will have my champions escort you around as I see your origins," Liu Kang smiles.

You nod, bowing before being led out by Johnny and Kenshi in the front, and Kung Lao and Raiden in the back. You skip happily, head on a swivel as you take in your surroundings.

Everything is similar for the most part, except the wood is reinforced and constantly renovated. The stone paths were more lined up, and there were definitely more trees too. Maple trees were a staple around the temple, but he planted cherry blossoms for you and your mother.

"Do you still act, Mr. Johnny?" you ask him, and Johnny turns around with an offended look. Kung Lao and Raiden are laughing like hyenas in the back as you try to understand why.

"I am not that old!" he cries. "But I do act still. I direct too! What do I do in your world?" he asks. "I bet I'm still just as awesome there as I am here~"

You inform them of their alternates in your timeline. How Johnny works for the government, how Kenshi is a deadbeat dad to Takeda (he was skeeved out knowing his cousin was his son), and how Raiden used to be god.

"What about me? Am I still awesome?" You giggle at Kung Lao.

"Yes you are, Lao. Though, you remain a bachelor compared to the rest of dad's friends..." you mutter the last couple of sentences.

"What did you say?" Raiden asks.

You arrive to your dorm room and turn around to give them a bright smile before retiring for the day.

"Thank you guys so much! You misters are so funny," you smile softly as you twiddle your fingers.

"Sometimes dad talks about the good ol' days, and I'd like to think you guys were what dad had..." You shrug and enter your room, closing the door before anyone else could say something.

"Is she one of... our kids?" Kung Lao asks before Raiden sigh.

"She kind of looks like Kuai Liang, or Bi Han..." his fingers tap his chin. "She has the nose and brows..."

Kenshi pinches his nose-bridge, "Did she not insinuate that Lord Liu Kang is her father?"

As the three men bicker, Johnny shakes his head in disappointment.

"You guys have not seen enough BBC documentaries and reality t.v. about deadbeat dads."

It's been a couple of weeks since you became stranded in this timeline, but you were enjoying it.

You've been getting spoiled by all of your dad's(?) champions: Kung Lao taking you to eat at Madam Bo's, Raiden letting you meet and train with his sister (so you had a friend), Johnny gifting you expensive movie memorabilia, and Kenshi always accompanying you (he became an uncle-figure).

However, your joyful days with them came to an end when they were sent on missions across and around the realms. You couldn't spend a minute with them due to the lengths of their missions, and when they came back, they were exhausted (reasonably so).

Who you ran into next was Geras, surprisingly. He never comes out from the hourglass, but the fact he was here meant a new friend to talk to.

In all honesty, Geras was here to meet with Liu Kang, but a monk had told him he was gone for some extracurricular purposes. So, he wanders aimlessly around the academy.

"Hi Mr. Geras!" you greet cheerily, accompanied with a wave. Geras nods, a small smile on his face as his glowing eyes crease slightly.

"Good morning to you, young lady," he greets kindly. "Do you have an agenda today?" You shake your head.

"No. All the uncles are out, and I have not yet seen dad since my arrival," you hang your head a little low in disappointment.

Geras's brow quirks in a bit of shock, but it's not surprising. He could see the resemblance from the moment you manifested in the temple. You had his strong brows, nose, and his fire powers.

It also didn't surprise him that the champions were trying to figure out if you were his creator's daughter or not.

"Do you wish to call him 'father'?" Geras asks as you both walk. The breeze was light, and the temperature was perfect.

You tilt your head, thinking a bit, "I mean... I'm not sure? I'm afraid that something will happen in this timeline if I say something..."

Geras chuckles, "You had spoken to the champions already, but I sense no apparent changes."

Your eyes light up, and you jump a bit in joy as you begin to talk your ear off to Geras about life in your timeline. Normally, he'd do his best to leave the conversation, but this was a different circumstance.

Geras enjoys hearing your casual adventures with Cassie, Jacqui, and Kung Jin when you guys hang out. He enjoys your little rants about your training, and how hard your father pushes you to master his pyromancy.

And he especially enjoys hearing that, in another world, Liu Kang has the happiness he yearned for.

"Although, you're not around much back at home..." you say. "You're... not as good as you are here..."

Geras has seen multiple timelines, but never has he ever thought of one where his life turned out like that.

"It's nice though! Maybe one day, I'll meet you," you reply optimistically.

Geras nods, not replying at the thought that he doesn't serve Liu Kang.

You continue talking to Geras until he goes back to the temple to meet with Liu Kang.

"Would you like to meet him now?" he offers, but you decline.

"Maybe another time, he seems busy in this world," you reply, and Geras bows before walking away an into the room where Liu Kang awaits him.

It's officially been two months since your unprecedented stop in this timeline where Liu Kang isn't your father.

You spend equal time with both Geras and the champions, but even they get busy.

Your champion uncles spoil you with gifts still, but it's a bit harder to see them due to the sheer amount of missions they were sent on.

Geras, too, became busier. The last visit he had in Earthrealm, he had said he and Liu Kang found a way to send you home, but they needed to be sure.

In response, you had been trying to spend more time with your newfound family here.

But who said family's can't expand? Expand and include the grandmaster and second-in-command's of the Lin Kuei.

Bi Han, Tomas, and Kuai Liang sat outside the planning room, similar to way back when during the timeline convergence. However, Liu Kang was taking a little longer than usual.

You didn't mean to be in the waiting room, but you had mindlessly wandered in there after training. Maybe it was out of habit to see Geras or your uncles.

Maybe it was in the hope you'd see your dad.

Instead, you're greeted with the men that cornered you that day. Though, with all due respect, it was in fairness of fear for another timeline insurgence.

Bi Han leans on the pillar that stands behind the chair. Kuai Liang and Tomas are seated on the seat itself, though Kuai Liang sits abnormally and on the arm rest.

You try to step away, but the creaky old wood alerted them of your presence. It was inevitable they'd see you now.

"Reveal yourself to us," Bi Han commands, his voice rough as he and his brothers are in ready form.

You carefully make yourself visible, chuckling nervously as you wave rather shakily.

"Remember me?" you ask, and the three of them soften and relax.

"It is just you," Tomas breathes in relief. "And of course, who could forget the girl we so harshly treated?"

The three men get up to bow, deep ninety degree angles as you frantically force them to stand upright again.

"P-please! Please get up, all is well! You're just doing your job..." you try and convince them.

Finally, they get up and go back to their comfortable positions. It's definitely... awkward. After all, they were the ones to hold you down like that.

But, compared to your world, it was nice seeing them all together again. You smile to yourself as you watch Tomas and Kuai Liang talk about trivial clan matters, and Bi Han just hums quietly agrees.

Kuai Liang notices your smile first," Why do you smile, young one?"

You catch yourself and put on a neutral face, but Kuai Liang's little frown breaks you, and you concede to tell him.

"It's just nice to see you three together again," you admit. "Back at home, the clans are all messed up..."

"How do you mean?" Bi Han eggs you on.

You begin to explain how Bi Han and Tomas became hideous creatures of dark sorcery. How Tomas became a horrid demon who plagues on the dreams of others.

You tell them about how Bi Han becomes a corpse-slave for evil as a reaper of sorts- killing anyone his master desired.

And you tell Kuai Liang about how he misses his brothers every day. How your version of him often visited your home to just talk. And how your version of him dealt with death.

"I don't remember when I saw you all happy, but I know back in the day you three were on top of the world!" you say excitedly as you recall all the stories and marvels the Lin Kuei of your timeline.

Somehow, time had passed to the point you had grown tired. You sat in between Tomas and Kuai Liang, but Bi Han had moved closer and sat on the edge of the back rest.

Your eyes grew weary, and you blink the little tired tears away as you stretch.

"The little bird needs her nest," Bi Han says softly, patting your head as you lean into Tomas's shoulder.

"I only have pictures of you three as a baby," you shared as you began to rest on Tomas's shoulder. "Dad says that was the last time you guys were nice to each other..."

Tomas raises a brow, "Dad? You don't mean-"

You yawn one final time, before adding on.

"Please be nice to each other... if I cannot have my uncles there, at least another version of me can..."

You fall right asleep, softly breathing as Tomas holds your head and Kuai Liang adjusts your legs to go over his lap. Bi Han takes his outermost layer and uses it as a blanket.

"She does look similar to Lord Liu Kang," Kuai Liang agrees quietly. "It is her nose."

You nuzzle deeper into Tomas's neck, feeling the light rhythm of his heart beat and using it to sleep.

The men continue talking about you, but it falls on deaf ears as you dream of your home again.

"I have found a way to return you home," Liu Kang announces unceremoniously.

You ate breakfast with Tomas and Bi Han on your left and right sides, while Kuai Liang sat across from you. However, the warm food felt cold and damp in your throat at the news.

You still had not told him who you were, and now you were going to leave after three months. As much as you were ready for this moment, the fact it's now hurts.

"When you finish your meal, please pack all of your things. I will meet you at the portal entrance," Liu Kang bows, then takes his swift leave.

Tomas looks to you, pouting, "Must you leave so soon?" You can't help but hug him.

"It's okay uncle, I have the gifts you gave me!" you reassure him, and Kuai Liang pats your head.

Just as the champions have spoiled you, so have the leaders of the Lin Kuei. They gave you food, little toys they picked up from the village, and some clothes made from the most expensive fabrics. It's been hard to try and fitting everything in your bag, but you didn't want to go home leaving your stuff.

"Do you wish us to accompany you?" Bi Han asks softly, and you nod happily as you stuff some food in your mouth.

Finishing up, you pile your plates up and head to your room. On your way, you run into the champions.

"Hey hey, youngin'!" Johnny greets you. "Why the entourage?"

You wave, "Liu Kang found a way home for me! The uncles will help me get my things."

Kung Lao crosses his arms, "And they are also... uncles?" Kenshi stares at them hard (well, "stare" is being used loosely).

You smile and pat Kung Lao's arm, "It's okay guys. I forgave them!"

Raiden shakes his head, "We must be timely everyone, she's heading home today."

You smile, but this time it doesn't really reach your eyes this time. Still, you make the most of it by indulging in Kung Lao and Johnny's antics, Bi Han and Kenshi's bickering, and every interaction between your little timeline family.

"Do you have everything?" Kuai Liang checks up on you, patting your little bag on the sides to fit everything. You nod, and he ruffles your head again.

"Make sure to take care of those figures," Johnny shimmies through the crowd. "That's one of one- only available through Cage-Con."

You shake your head, rolling your eyes playfully. Still, they help you out with any lingering bags as they escort you to the portal area. As you walk, though, the high energy levels you were bringing began to droop low.

Stepping foot on the wood, your sadness is evident as Liu Kang stands in front of you.

"Why so sad, little one?" he asks, and you wipe your eyes messily.

"I'm gonna miss everyone... It was so fun here..." you sigh, and Liu Kang's hand rests on your shoulder.

"Memories come in many forms," he gestures to your full bag of gifts and memorabilia. "And I do not doubt that you will have any things to look back upon."

You nod, "Still, I am ready to go home." Liu Kang begins to open the portal, and he can sense your nervousness.

"It's going to be so weird coming home, knowing there's a world where everyone is happy..." You look at Liu Kang one final time, before dropping all of your things and giving him a hug.

"Promise me you'll be happy dad, please promise me you'll be happy," you plea with him, tears falling on his linen shirt.

As your uncles are at a still with your revelation, Liu Kang just holds you, rubbing your back up and down as he tries to soothe your cries. You hold onto his shoulders, and Liu Kang sinks to his knees with you as you cry.

"As long as you can be happy in your world, I will be just fine," Liu Kang whispers softly.

Liu Kang gently brings you back to your feet, adjusting the bags you'll be carrying home with you. You stop in front of each of your uncles, hugging them and giving them the last of your affections before walking through the portal.

"I love you all very much!" and once you're in, the portal closes.

While Liu Kang lets the clamor of his close friends and allies fall in the background, something about how they didn't realize you were his kid at all, Liu Kang smiles as the sun sets, the though that his simple moments with the woman he loves is indeed possible

Sexuality: Bi Sexual - she's been attracted to women but never been in a relationship with a woman. Technically speaking what she's had is a string of one night stands.

Traits: Adventerous, High Maintenance and Self-Absorbed. She'd also readily admit she has a fear of commitment. The closes she comes to commitment is to her career. However she does have a soft spot for family. She'll defend her family like a mama bear if she perceives a danger to them but she doesn't always see when she's being overbearing and pushing her ideals on them.

Career: Archealogist (she travels a lot)

Back Story: Ever since her parents got divorced Jolene has been seeking approval from her dad (Ethan). She was six years old when he walked out of their lives and it wasn't until three years later that he walked back into it demanding to see his kids. While her brothers didn't want want him in their lives, she did. She wanted to be his little princess again, his little girl. Her biggest dream was to live with him full time because he needed her to take care of him. But nothing she did was good enough. He always told her no.

She was 15 when she decided to sneak out and visit her Dad in San My on her own. It wasn't their scheduled weekend but she was sure he wouldn't mind her coming for the weekend. When she got their Ethan was anything but pleased to see her. And he wasn't alone. He had a whole new family. One she wasn't a part of and worst of all she wasn't welcome to be a part of either.

It was at that moment her heart shattered into a million pieces. Why wasn't she good enough to be his little girl? It was on the train ride back to Brindleton Bay that she had her first time. She was hurt and this guy made her feel better. It didn't matter she didn't know his name or how old he was she just needed someone to tell her she was special.

That nameless person on the train was beginning of a long string of one night stands. In high school she did have a steady boyfriend for two years but when he dumped to go to college all those old feelings of not being good enough came over her and...well...she knew how to get those feelings to go away. She vowed then she'd never be in another relationship.

Two years ago she was involved with the brother of one of her archealogy professors that resulted in her getting pregnant. It was on a dig in Salvadorado. When she told him about the baby he just laughed and said he was no ones daddy and he left. This time when the feelings of not being enough came over her she went home.

Her parents weren't happy she was pregnant but were supportive of her decision to keep the baby. Finally she'll have someone who would give her the unconditional love she's always craved. But it was harder than she thought it would be. It wasn't easy or convenient to bring a baby on dig sites not to mention to find qualified babysitters. A lot of times she wound of leaving her son with her parents.

Over the next couple of years she's felt her life has been lacking in meaning. Her best friend and favorite cousin has pulled away from her and telling her she needs to be more responsible. Her brother hasn't talked to her since he found out what she did when they were kids. Her parents are telling her more and more that her son needs her and that it's time for her to settle down and raise him herself.

Her professor suggested she talk to a professional. At first she refused but as the feelings of worthlessness overwhelmed her she admitted she needed help. It was after her second visit that she saw the advertisement for Scarlett's BC. She recognized her from the video she made outing her father, Theo. Jolene remembered how she thought Scarlett was gutsy for doing what she did and wished she had the courage to do that to Ethan. The only downside would have been hurting her dad's (Jonah) feelings and she couldn't do that to him. Silently she applauded Scarlett for what she did. Now she could actually meet the girl and she was so pretty. Maybe this was exactly what she needed to get her life back on track.

So she sent in her application against the advice of her therapist and her family. Who knows ... maybe she'd get her own show out of this even if she didn't win the girl???

Let It Snow 2/2 - Random Drabble

Aged Up scene that popped into my head with comments from a reader. Rough drafted storyline rather than a legit fic.

Inspiration: i'll be surprised if the snow around them didn't melt that day lol since that was quite intense esp for just playing along.

(Marinette humming in the kitchen while preparing coffee wearing just one of Felix's dress shirts, sleeves rolled up and bottom barely covered)

(Door opens, Adrien enters and tosses keys onto the entry table) "Hey Fe....M-Marinette?!"

"Oh...um, h-hey Adrien. Felix was checking on the laundry. You...uh, want some coffee?"

"Uh...sure..." (takes in her appearance: tousled bedhead hair, pink cheeks, lack of clothing)

"Um, what are you doing at Felix's apartment, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Well, we uh...got soaked in the snow and h-he invited me back to warm up?" (busying herself with the coffee maker)

'Wow, that was so nice of Felix...I'm so glad they're friends!'

(Felix enters and slides up way too close to her backside while helping her retrieve a mug from a tall shelf, a hand placed on her waist in a way that is more than friendly. He's wearing just a t-shirt and boxers, looking just as tousled, winks at her and pulls away just enough for her to complete her task while still staying in physical contact) "So cousin, to what do I owe the pleasure of your company?"

(Adrien, watching their interaction with increasing confusion, Felix just smirks at him) "Buh... We were, uh...supposed to meet up today and...I figured you might want company for breakfast."

(Marinette slides Adrien his mug with a small smile, then hands Felix his. Felix takes her hand and kisses it with a smile before starting his coffee and resting an arm around her loosely) "Well, as you can see, Adrien, I already have company for breakfast." (Fe's eyes slide down her body lecherously for a moment while she rinses out her mug)

"I...uh...ye-yeah..." (flustered and confused Adrien)

(Felix leans down to Marinette's ear and murmurs to her while his arm snakes around her hips) "I put your clothes on the bed, my dear. But you're welcome to stay as long as you like..."

(Marinette smiles slyly up at him and brushes some imaginary lint from his right pec of his shirt) "I would but I have classes today." (flutters her lashes) "Perhaps we could meet up for some Netflix and chill later tonight..."

(Felix grins) "I look forward to it." (his grin becomes predatory as he watches her walk away to change, she flirtatiously looks over her shoulder at him before passing out of sight)

(Adrien looks perplexed, also noticed how short the shirt was on her and feeling confusing urges) "So... you and Marinette seem...close."

(Felix goes back to smirking and dumping his coffee in the sink) "Oh, very close. Now, I apologize, cousin, but I have a guest to take care of before our meeting. You'll see yourself out, won't you?" (Felix heads in the same direction that Marinette left, looking quite excited)

"Sure..." (Adrien rinses out his mug and proceeds back towards the entry, murmuring to himself and Plagg as muffled giggles/squeals/moans are heard further in the apartment) "I didn't realize how mannerly Felix was towards his guests..." (Plagg facepalms in his pocket)

"I'm so glad Marinette made friends with him! Did you see how much he was smiling? If anyone can bring out the best in him, it would be her. She's amazing, our Everyday Ladybug." (blushes remembering the shirt hiking up as she was grabbing him a mug, shakes it off and walks away)

was thinking of wasian ducktales, and i tried thinking of how characters would refer to each other in vietnamese :^) i think the specific rules might be different per area/dialect, but there are some general ones. im also limited in my vietnamese bc i’ve only learned it with my family, so if any other viet-speaking/vietnamese ppl want to add anything, im fine with that!

this is hard mainly bc there aren’t canon ages for (most of) the characters. vietnamese pronouns rely pretty heavily on them 😅 to explain this lightly:

the pronoun is based on gender and (relative) age. “I” would be how the other person (should) refer to you, and the other person would use what you’d call them

Huey is older than Dewey and Louie, so he would call himself “anh” (older boy) and call them “em” (younger). Dewey and Louie would probably just call him by his name bc they dont care he’s older by a few seconds (also they dont seem like they wouldnt learn a second language lol) (or they’d just use “anh” w/o bis name)

Assuming Webby is older, she could call herself “chi” (older girl), and call the triplets “em”, but the fact theyre so close + bc they’re friends, they might just use names talking to each other. “bạn” means friend, and they might call her that at first but it feels kind of weird to me since they’re family

also i didnt note it but Webby and Donald using con(child)/chú is like saying that she’s Donald’s kid too; i felt like that’s be correct, though when first meeting “em” would be more correct.

Note 2: “anh Gladstone/Fethry” is closer to “Cousin Gladstone/Cousin Fethry”, but the fact that theres a 20+ year difference makes that feel weird to me 😅 even if Gladstone+Fethry aren’t literally their uncles. “chú” would be if one of them is younger than Della, “bác” is if they’re older. I think Fethry would would refer to the other duck cousins as “anh/chị” bc he’s nice like that lol. HDL would have to call themselves “con”, and Webby would probably use “em”

How Donald/Della refer to each other would depend on who’s older, and how they’d refer to Gladstone + Fethry would depend on how old their parents are relative to their dad (bc they’re related through Quackmore). For example, even if Gladstone is younger, if Daphne is older than Quackmore, Don+Della would have to call him “anh”

(it’s like saying “that guy over there” abt a random person on the street or to an animal. Fenton probably has enough self-respect just to use “em” tho lol) post-Astro Boyd they’d probably use em/anh for each other

- alex and ash are identical twins and were both amab; alex found out she was trans and transitioned while they were still in high school (i think she actually just kept the name bc she liked it but even if she didn't, i'm thinking her deadname would probably also have started with an A)

- speaking of, both of them played football while they were in high school. alex was more of the star player of the two of them; ash was almost exclusively a bench warmer. their uniforms in current day consist of parts of their old football uniforms

- even though tony is their unofficial ""leader"", the whole idea for the vigilante copycat stuff was the davis'. not rlly much basis for this one admittedly but i think it makes sense, considering they're the most politically active (relatively speaking) of the fans

- and the reason why that is is that they had family who were living in san francisco when it got bombed. again, not much basis but it does make sense to me considering they're motivated enough to be picketing outside the courthouse during jacket's trial. i specifically also have a kind-of oc that's their little cousin who lives in SF; i shifted around some things to feature her in UDC, my beardjacket au fic, but she's existed in my mind even before writing that chapter and i'd like to flesh her out more one day

- i think they're both bi (w pref for the opposite gender) and that ash is ace. that's just on me :-)

- they make fun of each other for being gay All The Time. wlw/mlm hostility.

- ash moved out at some point and lives with his (boy)friend, jack. he still frequents the house somewhat often to hang out with alex, since they're so close, but he very rarely sleeps there anymore

- alex is a little touchy about the whole thing, but she gets it. she just wasn't ever thinking about the possibility of either of them moving out since they've basically been together they're whole lives so she's just been moody about it ever since ash brought it up to her. she's a lot better abt it now, though

- ash is a lot more organized than alex is. he was the only reason the house was ever clean; since he's left, alex really only cleans up if things are getting Direly trashy

- alex LOVES horror movies. ash thinks they're ok. they watch a bunch of them together and alex spends a lot of pocket money on VHS tapes of her favorites

- ash is more of a video game guy. they had a console in the house but he took it when he moved out; alex really only ever used it if ash was playing something multiplayer anyways so she didn't consider it a huge loss

- that said, they both love listening to music. they had a bit of an argument over who was taking what when ash moved out (since their collection was joint owned) and alex ended up keeping the records while ash took the cassettes since ash is the one who actually has a car

- both of them can drive but alex honestly doesn't need a car; she'd take the bus to work most days anyways since ash started his day earlier than she did and would be out the door before she even woke up

- the both have insomnia but alex's is decidedly worse. for some reason, the meds that ash uses don't rlly work on her so she ends up staying up and waking up late. she falls asleep at her job often

- alex works a boring office job. she tolerates it; it's relatively easy and pays fine and she learned some basic computer knowledge from ash so she's basically set on being there for however long she can.

- she also does music on the side, specifically electronic stuff. not ever a thing she'd consider for a job but one of her favorite past times is smoking and jamming out on her synth. ash partakes in these jam sessions sometimes; part of me wants to say he plays a little electric guitar (and that he'd probably love guitar hero)

- ash works in IT. his computer knowledge is almost entirely self taught (esp considering he and alex's would be college years were spent serving in hawai'i) but he's damn good at what he does so it was pretty easy for him to get hired

- their relationship with their folks is... fraught. the whole reason they joined the army was to get away from them, particularly because their mom had always been rather nasty to alex because she favored ash and ash was always really annoyed by that. they thought is was the best years of their lives thus far. ever since coming back home to pick up their stuff when they got back from deployment, they cut contact with them (but not the rest of their family. that said, they refuse to go to any family functions if they kno their parents are gonna be there)

- alex is pretty butch and dislikes wearing fem clothing. ash is honestly kind of more wishy washy about the whole thing; he'd be open to wearing slightly more fem stuff like skirts if he wasn't so put off by the idea of being judged for doing so. most ""fem"" he'll get is painting his nails black every so often

- idk something in my heart just tells me they'd like karaoke. they'd both belt that shit out, no holds barred (but also fans karaoke night just sounds like such a fun idea. just all of them getting wasted and singing silly shit)

- they're just each other's #besties y'k? swans stick together their whole lives and all

Amaimon

1: sexuality headcanon: I think Amaimon is either bi or pan. He just...doesn't strike me as the type to care about what his partner is in terms of gender. Amaimon likes what he likes and that's just how it is.

2: otp: I don't know if I have a pairing with Amaimon that I feel strongly enough about to consider it an OTP. I have pairings I like with Amaimon, but for those characters I almost always have another pairing that I like better for them. And I don't think Amaimon would do well with polyamory. He's very selfish.

3: brotp: This is not canon. This is most definitely not canon. But I am *obsessed* with the idea of Amaimon actually doting on Rin after they get past the "tried to kill Rin/Shiemi/other exwires" issue. Like, to Amaimon, a demon, he really just wanted some entertainment. Gotta remember, he's NOT human, and to him "playing" is something totally different. So, it makes sense in my little world that once he realizes how strong Rin is, and that he can get Rin to "play", he wants to more and more, but also becomes a bit jealous and clingy. Maybe even protective? Anyway. This is why when I write him, I most often like writing him as a doting yet teasing older brother for Rin. And maybe Rin warms up to him eventually and really starts to enjoy being around him and trust Amaimon.

4: notp: Lucifer. Not as a friend, not as a lover (Again, they are demons; so remember, demons play by demon rules and not human ones) and not as a brother or 'bromance'. Why? Mainly because I dislike Lucifer, if I'm being honest. But also because I just don't see them being on good terms. I feel like Lucifer would be like "Listen to me" and Amaimon would flip him off and scitter around on the ceiling or something. Which is like, his attitude with Mephisto, except then Mephisto usually has a good counter, where I just don't think it would give the same delightfully funny vibe with Lucifer.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head: Again this would be the "Amaimon not so secretly dotes on Rin and the only one who doesn't realize this is Rin" because it makes me happy. That's literally the main reason. It just makes me so happy.

6: favorite line from this character: "I have a cousin with a penchant for the occult who collects eyeballs". I don't know if I can explain this one. I just find it funny.

7: one way in which I relate to this character: I think what I relate to most for Amaimon is his impatience. I try my best to be patient, especially given my work, but there are some days I just want to lose it because nothing is going my way, or because I really wanted something and I don't get it. It sounds a bit childish of me, but Amaimon is childish too. I think part of why I like him so much is because he acts out his childish urges freely and I wish sometimes that I could do that.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: His hair spike. Amaimon, sweetie, why?

9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? Oh, Problematic Fave, 10000%.

Trein

1: sexuality headcanon: honestly, I think Trein is gay. But he strikes me as someone who lost love once a long time ago and never tried to love like that again. I don't know, I just think sometimes there is a lot of sadness in his eyes. (I've played to the end of Book 6 Part One, so if there is backstory on Trein in the next part or chapters, I am unaware of it at this time)

2: otp: None. As I said, I kind of picture him as someone who did have someone, but then lost them. Maybe someday I'll write him a headcannon backstory about that love.

3: brotp: Trein is not 100% sure what this term means, but I like to think that some students saw him having tea with Crewel and now all the students know he's pretty close to Crewel and Crewel is his brotp.

4: notp: Crowley. Because I think Crowley would drive Trein into madness if they were anything other than colleagues.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head: Well, friend, honestly it's our Bar AU headcannon of Trein Taking Care of Crewel By Sneakily Getting Him To Eat. I just like the idea of Trein realizes Crewel doesn't take good enough care of himself and is like "well, I guess I need to suddenly have a routine of having tea in the evening with biscuits or fruit as a snack and invite Crewel so he eats something". I also like the idea we had together that Vargas goes to Trein every time he tries to figure out how to interact with Crewel because he is Very Enthusiastic and Crewel is less so, and Vargas worries he is overwhelming his coworker. (Side note: Vargas = himbo is the best hc for Vargas ever! hehehe)

6: favorite line from this character: “Excellent. Keep up this hard work for the next time as well.” When Trein praises me, I am almost in tears. Getting his approval is Goals. lol

7: one way in which I relate to this character: Trein seems to like things done in particular ways and puts value in honour and tradition. I may not be so much for tradition, but I do get particular about how I like things done. And I get frustrated when I can't deliver to my own expectations.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: Nothing, really. I don't find anything about him, at this point, gives me second-hand embarrassment.

9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? I don't know if I would define Trein as either of these...lol, though if I had to choose I guess cinnamon roll? He seems like the type of person to be a bit tsundere to be honest.

Maki

1: sexuality headcanon: I headcannon Maki as straight. I don't know why, I just do. (You're probably thinking "what??? But she's one of your anime wives???", and I know. I know, it's odd. But she's a fictional character so I try not to read too hard into it)

2: otp: I don't actually have one for Maki. I really don't ship her with anyone in the show at this point, if I'm completely honest.

3: brotp: Hinawa. I feel like Hinawa and Maki have a really good understanding of each other and have this quiet support for each other going on behind-scenes. I really feel like Hinawa is probably Maki's closest friend in Company 8.

4: notp: Like I said, I don't really like shipping her with anybody in the show honestly, so I suppose that makes them all notp's in my eyes.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head: I think Maki was probably bullied as a child for being so strong. To me, this makes sense as to why she's so hung up on "not being feminine enough". Bullying is something that sticks with you long after the fact and preys on your mind.

6: favorite line from this character: I don't have a favourite line from Maki.

7: one way in which I relate to this character: I relate to Maki a lot about feeling insecure over my body/appearance. I also want to be seen as very feminine, so I get her discouragement and worry about coming across masculine.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: The way she misinterprets even compliments about her strength to mean she's an "ogre" or "gorilla"; like...calm down? Literally no one said anything like that...

9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? Cinnamon Roll! Maki is an absolute sweetheart!

-Due to her parents both working at long hours the hospital, Melissa spent a lot of time at the Sinclair house as a child but she doesn't grow close to Erica or Lucas until season two.

I could definitely see there being some focus on the changing relationship with the cousins. Like, what was it like staying with them when younger vs fighting the Upside Down. How do Erica and Lucas see Melissa now versus then and how does Melissa’s view of her cousins change once she finds out all they’ve been involved in

Honestly just Steve and Melissa shenanigans. How close are they really? Enough that she’s a go-to person when he’s having relationship issues or is she just someone that he occasionally hangs out with because they run in the same circles. Also would be an interesting segue into her becoming familiar with the Upside Down because like why is he suddenly hanging out with Lucas and his friends

Focus on her crush on Robin. Is this something that happened because Melissa stops by Scoops Ahoy and that’s how she meets Robin for the first time or does she notice Robin because they’re both doing school sporting events. Maybe something where Robin finds out Melissa is bi or Melissa finds out Robin is gay and it’s like “oh wait actually we could date. Oh no why is this making my crush on her worse”

Totally off base but if Melissa ever finds out Erica is also into DnD like Lucas is, does Erica try and teach her. Are there campaigns of just the cousins? Maybe just campaigns with Erica, Max, and El

Speaking of Max it would be interesting to explore how Melissa sees the beginnings of the Lucas and Max relationship knowing who Billy is and knowing that she’s terrified of him. Does she feel sorry for Max because that’s her step brother? Is she worried that Max might be the same?

I'm sorting this by collector number, which, for this set is somewhat baffling, so Ctrl+F is your friend if you want to find a specific thought.

Without further ado, let's start off with Ambush Wolf:

Ambush Wolf: This is just not a magic card that pulls its weight well, so here goes Vibes Report: I don’t think I can just say this is a lil guy, so C. Really is a Nothing Special.

Apothecary Stomper: Don’t worry we’ll keep it rolling with Vibes Report: Now THIS is a big lil guy, and I love him. B+.

Beast-Kin Ranger: I do think this is almost ok, but we’re going to the Vibes Report: Dog owners get a big plus, so this fella’s a solid B.

Cackling Prowler: Ward 2 is kind of big on this effect, but everything else about this card doesn’t have the juice, including the Vibes Report: I just don’t love the guy, but I respect the game, so he gets a C+.

Eager Trufflesnout: This guy dies so easy, and though it usually dies with a food coming in, it’s nowhere near good enough for the game objects or food fight decks.

Elfsworn Giant: More creatures that say Landfall - Make a dude are nice to have in the format, even if Scute Swarm overshadows them, so I could see this occasionally seeing play in specific lists, potentially if making elves is important.

Elvish Regrower: The unfortunate thing for this card is that we only really play our regrowths for efficiency, but it is legitimately interesting to see a buff E-Wit that doesn’t go for efficiency or volume.

Felling Blow: Hunt the Weak meets its punchy cousin, like most prior fight spells. This one is obviously better usually, but not really enough for me to want to play it, including in counters decks.

Loot, Exuberant Explorer: I’m actually a little bit stoked for this guy after Prerelease, after I realized he’s one of our few ways to enable things like 6 drops on turn 3, especially in lands decks, but even more than that, he also gives a big payoff to ramping out, with an instant speed cheat effect. I will probably consider him in Sneak and any ramp decks I build, but I think the lil guy’s just good and pretty hard to kill.

Mossborn Hydra: Finally, a Scute Swarm that doesn't play like ass <3 my love. I think you ultimately play this and Scutes, even though scutes is better, but this guy’s no slouch either.

Needletooth Pack: I really wish 5s were less competitive than they are, because this card’s cool as hell but your slots give little enough room that if it’s not giving Thrun a thrun for its money it’s not able to get in.

Preposterous Proportions: Perfect vibes, ngl, but it really only works in a deck that gets to 7 and also has most of its stuff with trample innately. We’re also getting 2 different overrun effects, though, so I am skeptical you’ll want this over an uncommon.

Quakestrider Ceratops: I’m not certain if this is a good card or playable at all, but it does have a power to cost rate and a higher power than most creatures in magic, and if you are set up to capitalize on it, it’s some huge stats. I would be a little surprised if in the next 5 years we didn’t find a use for this big of a body with something.

Quilled Greatwurm: This guy’s kind of booty in our format. 6 mana is close to a million, and you rely on this loop that’s so comically easy to disrupt and all it gets you is a bit of recursion that eliminates all of the benefit you had from the guy the last time he was on the field. I think sneak’s the best home, but even then it relies on nothing going wrong and a lot going right for it to be anything other than a 7/7 stick.

Spinner of Souls: The fact that this card says another is a huge bummer, because it means it’s just built to get bolted right before your other creatures get dealt with, and it means that the spider really doesn’t pull its weight as a flagbearer and is unlikely to gain any value.

Sylvan Scavenging: It’s so very easy to get this to be a 3/3 machine and that’s hard to manage at 3 mana. That said, your 3 drop is often what will be turning this online, so it’s awkwardly competing for the same slot, but placing a counter on your 3/2 on 2 also isn’t horrible.

Treetop Snarespinner: This guy is actually kind of neat as a hard to kill blocker that acts as a mana sink, but it is still a candidate for a  Vibes Report: D+. This fella’s cool but not anything else and also I like birds a little more than spiders.

Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen: Dwynen is cool, and great to see at uncommon, but it just doesn’t have the juice these days, including in elf typal, where it’s just a lot to ask for 4 mana when there’s plenty of better lords.

Genesis Wave: This card is one of my favorites, and I expect it’s gonna be a big hit in sneak decks, especially alongside channel, where an X=10 to 14 is going to win the game in all but the rarest circumstances.

Mild-Mannered Librarian: This is just too much mana to work with. Drawing a card is nice, especially since it doesn’t need to stick to still cantrip, but wowie 4 is a lot of mana on top of your card invested in your bad 1 drop.

Overrun: This one is a classic, and I expect it to see some play, because it’s a huge boost that makes a crazy number of board states lethal. I don’t expect it to see a huge amount of play, but it gets the job done if you reliably get a few creatures on board.

Joraga Invocation: I thought about this card for a while and thought back to how it played in ORI, but there it really was more of a green wrath than a kill spell, and you just always want a version of this that gives trample because the goal of this is not to kill some creatures, it’s to put your opponent’s life total to 0.

Thornweald Archer: You know, I think I could see this in an elf deck if it’s otherwise struggling with getting under a big threat or dealing with fliers. I don’t think it’s good, but I can see it getting in an elf deck once in a blue moon.

Heroes’ Bane: Theros block was interesting, since there were tons of explosive green creatures that could get very big and scary and win games, but none of them were worthwhile because of Polukranos. Now, they’re just not at rate!

Mold Adder: This guy’s pretty bad, and, frankly, even if your opponent casts a couple of U or B spells, it’s just way too situational, even in the right matchup, for it to be anything special.

Ordeal of Nylea: I like this cycle, but they are admittedly quite bad. I wouldn’t play this one, it’s just too tough to ensure it cracks.

Predator Ooze: I think our removal suite is diverse and powerful enough now that a 1/1 indestructible is not all it looks cracked up to be, and it always will stay a bit below where you want it to be, especially for a GGG casting cost.

Rampaging Baloths: This is a super cool card, but it’s also not great, even in the lands deck, frankly.

Surrak, the Hunt Caller: This is one of my pet cards, so much so that it was my handle on this very blog for a crazy amount of time. It’s also a good card! Giving your big beater haste every turn is pretty big (and is half the juice of Xenagos), and quite often, this will be able to, on curve, give himself haste, and a 5/4 with haste is a rare statline (despite him being uncommon in his last appearance :P )

Daniel Choi Sailor Moon AU

“And then -” Emily trailed off, causing to look away from his people watching. They had gone out for breakfast after Daniel might have neglected the adult responsibility of grocery shopping. It wasn’t his fault, he had a busy week and all the shops in this town closed at 5 for some reason. 

“Why are you frowning?” Hel asked, eyeing her carefully. He took a sip of his coffee while waiting for her to finish the text she was sending. His nose scrunched up as he contemplated spitting it out. How could people drink this crap daily? Did they hate themselves? Come to think about it, he had never seen a happy coffee enjoyer. 

“Soomin can’t make it,” she said, placing her phone back down on the table. Daniel nodded, pretending he knew which one of her friends was Soomin. Daniel couldn’t remember their names, there was grumpy, happy, rude and the boy one who gets all flustered anytime Daniel is around.  “You’re more than welcome to hang out with me,” Daniel offered. 

Emily pulled a face that suggested she would rather do anything else. “No offense but i’d rather just stay at home by myself then third wheel on one of your dates,” she said. Daniel scoffed, calling it a date was extremely generous of her.  “And before you say it’s not a date does Jason know that?” she added. 

“He should as if I would ever seriously date someone named Jason,” Daniel scoffed, offended by the mere idea. “And you know I am not interested in dating anyone right now,” he said. He would go on dates but that was it, he had no intentions of being distracted by a relationship, he had his career and raising Emily to focus on.  

“Either way I don't want to see what you two get up to in a movie cinema,”  Emily shrugged.

“Don’t be gross, I have standards,” Daniel pouted. Emily raised an eyebrow, eyes twinkling as she took a sip of her milkshake. “This new school is making you mean,” Daniel said, he really should have sent her to that all girls academy. “Anyway I could cancel my not date, we could go to the movies - I think Caleb has a new movie out,” he said.

“Daniel,” Emily started. 

“It would be fun,” Daniel cut her off, “Lets go,” he said, leaving his half drunk coffee behind and snatching Emily up. 

“The movies aren’t even opened yet- “ Emily whined reaching to grab her purse. “I am beginning to think you don’t like this Jason guy,” she laughed. 

“I like him enough,” Daniel said, he was hot but ultimately forgettable, the perfect mix. . “But you are more important,” he cooed, pinching her cheeks laughing as she swatted his hands away, rolling her eyes and grumbling about how embarrassing he is but not protesting about leaving which he would count as a win.

“Aren’t you going to message Jason,” Emily asked as they headed over to the cinema, Daniel rolled his eyes pulling his phone out of his pockets looking through his messages, did he save him under his name or - 

“Emily! Hey!” Daniel frowned, Jason could wait. He looked up to find that boy, Lucas running across the road. Oh what Daniel would give for a bus to speed round the corner right now. Unfortunately the road was and remained completely empty. Maybe if they ignored him, he would get the hint.

Unfortunately his cousin liked doing charity and stopped in the middle of the footpath. He thought he had raised her better, you don’t stop in the middle of a footpath. Did she even consider the other (non existent) people walking as well? You especially don’t stop for this good for nothing boy.

“Hey,” Lucas said to Emily, grinning at her like some sort of lunatic. Disgusting. “How are you?”Daniel scoffed at that what a basic question. 

“I’m good,” Emily said. Daniel nodded, she was good because she was with her favorite cousin and it was also a good answer because it left no room for conversation. He supposed he should be concerned about his cousins lack of conversational skills but he is choosing to believe she didnt want to talk this guy.

“Anyway we have to get -”

“Lucas hurry up,”  Daniel bit back a groan as he saw Lucas’s friends on the other side of the road calling out to him. He wasn’t not in the mood to deal with them today - no that wasn’t fair, he liked M and no issues with his girlfriend. It was the rest of them he couldn’t stand, Mr Bigamy and his sister wives. Unfortunately he was the one crossing the road, where was that god damn bus?

“Oh it’s you,” Bigamy said, sounding more annoyed then he had the right to be. If anyone should be annoyed it was Daniel, he is the one whose morning had been disturbed by this man’s presence. “Lucas lets go,” he said. It was the first intelligent thing this man has ever said. 

“Yes Lucas leave,” Daniel said. 

“Are you busy?” Lucas said, ignoring both Daniel and the other guy. The audacity. It was one thing to ignore his insane friend but what the hell? Did he not know to respect his elders?

“Daniel and I were going to -” Emily started to speak.

“See they are going,” The other guy, Tyrion or whatever his name is, said rudely interrupting Emily mid sentence. 

“Oh we are going to that new Virtual Reality arcade -”  Lucas ignored him. Virtual reality arcade - why would Emily want to go to that, wasn’t that for losers who couldn’t handle the real world. 

“Did you not hear me?” Ty-something or rather said. Daniel quirked an eyebrow, he was surprised that he wasn’t used to being ignored. Surely it must happen to him all the time.

“If you aren’t busy you should come with us,” Lucas said to Emily.

“She is busy -” Tyler said trying to pull Lucas away from them. He was finally doing something useful. 

“Actually -” Emily said, Daniel whipped his head around to her. What did she mean actually, she was busy. Very much busy. Busy busy. “I was going to third wheel Daniel’s date- “ she said. Daniel nose scrunched up, it was not a date,

“Someone wants to date you? couldn’t be me,” Tyler said. Daniel raised an eyebrow, why was this thing commenting on his love life.

“Obviously,” Daniel said. “And Emmy i’ve told you, its not a date and you -” 

“What's not a date?’ M’s girlfriend, Jane, asked. Daniel cursed, the rest of their friend group appeared. M, Jane and one of Tyler’s girlfriends. The grumpy one. 

“Nothing,” Daniel said with a fake smile reaching out and trying to subtly move Emily away. “We were just leaving so you can do whatever it is -” 

“Well since there is no date you both should come with us to Virtual Reality thing - I don’t really care for it but M wants to check out his competition,” Jane said, ignoring everything Daniel said and invited them to the group hang out.

“They are busy,” Tyler interrupted before Daniel had a chance to say the same thing. Rude.

“But it would be good for Lucas to have someone to chat with since everyone is all coupled up, you know since Maude invited herself along because of you,” she said. Whichever girlfriend Maude was, Jane did not sound too fond of her.

“He can talk to Enzo,” The grumpy girlfriend, Daniel was pretty sure not Maude, spoke. Daniel nodded pretending he knew or cared what an Enzo was and resumed trying to move Emily along. 

“And Daniel has a date,” Tyler added. Could this guy ever say his name normally, it was only six letters it wasn’t that hard. 

“Great he can come, seriously anyone is better company than Maude and Julien,” Jane said. “All they do is moon over Tyler and Minah,” she said to Emily and Daniel. 

“How desperate Maude and Julien are is not my problem,” Daniel said with an eyeroll. “You know this virtual arcade might be a good time to talk to them about their romantic decisions, you could use it to show them the errors of their ways.” he said as both Tyler and Minah glowered at him.

“Maybe i could use it to show you what it would be like if your cousin started to date-” Jane leaned over to him and whispered as Daniel turned to glare at her. “Great, I am so glad you see it my way,” she grinned. 

“I didn’t -”

“Lets go, Tara said the line is super long,” Jane said, turning on her heels and leaving no room for argument. M looked at him sympathetically, given him a pat on the back before following after her.

Bnha dad scenarios: Child default names and background stories.

Dabi's kid/Ayane Name meaning: Kanji (Aya) meaning "Color" and (Ne) meaning sound.

Don't need to tell you that his little Firefly wasn't exactly planned, in fact he was completely blindsided when he found his FWB (now common law wife) was pregnant, he ran away! but, not from her... He disappeared for a couple days then showed up a while later in disguise duffle-bag in hand telling her to hurry and start packing up whatever she can carry; cuz they were leaving! Dabi and your mom relocated to a very small town in the countryside where the population is very small.

(like you could fit the whole township into a Boeing 737 small, and your nearest neighbor was 15 minutes away....)

From there they opened and run a roadhouse bar/motel. Dabi didn't marry his Fairy just because she was pregnant, he caught the feelings a long time ago and had been planning to runaway with her way before Ayane was even a distant thought, her impending arrival just pushed his plans forward. Ayane looks like her mother but her [y/hc] hair has little red streaks and she has partial heterochromia in her eyes, they look like someone colored them cerulean, but remembered halfway through that they were supposed to be y/ec, she also has Dabi's cocky smirk.

Katsuki's kid/Haruka name meaning:  Distant blossom: Uses the Kanji "Haru" in the word "Distant"  combined with the kanji "Ka" in "blossom".

 Having kids was very distant thought in the back of Katsuki's mind not that he didn't want any, He just thought he wouldn't have any, so then his wife told him that they were having a baby. he was over the moon, he didn't care if it was boy or girl just so long as they were happy and healthy, however as soon as it was confirmed that the the baby in his wife's belly was a girl.

Katsuki went scorched-earth on any boys that went near his little girl and Haruka has him wrapped around her little finger. She's his spoiled princess. Haruka looks like a carbon copy of her mom, but has her dad's temperament and potty mouth, she has partial heterochromia both eyes they're half red-half [y/ec].

Shigaraki's kid/Kururi name meaning:  Black Emerald: "Ku" from the kanji "Black" and "Ruri" meaning "Emerald". (Ngl she was also named after Kurogiri)

 He was completely blindsided when he found out his queen was having his child, he didn't know what to do with it, he considered having it "taken care of" but his queen threatened to leave him if he ever suggested that again! he was huffy and pouty during the whole pregnancy.  

He was also very protective, usually lingering near by or stalking his wife when she was out and about being careful of in case any heroes or lesser NPCs messed with her, then when the baby was finally born... and he held her for the first time, it was like "Holy crap! I made this...!" and suddenly the world wasn't looking so bleak anymore... and now that his wife is gone (rip) Shigaraki's main focus (as aside villainy) was on his daughter and making the future bright for her.

Kururi though not touch starved she is a bit wary of physical affection, and very socially awkward often preferring to read and or play videogames over socializing with other humans, her only friend seems to be Ayane (their friendship is similar to Orin and April from Parks and rec), They hang out mainly because Shigaraki wanted her have some sense of normality that he was deprived as child. however due to her quirk's nature and the guilt she feels over her mother's death, she has a complex over her hands, she doesn't like it when people try holding them or touching them, often seen wearing gloves or keeping them in her pockets. 

Kururi looks like her mom but has a little mole under her chin and has heterochromia her left eye is red while her right [y/ec] and her [y/hc] hair has a single blueish-white streak in it.

Hawks-Keigo's kid/ Griffin or Finny: as in Griffin the mythical creature.

Keigo and his late wife chose that name because of their respective quirks, His wife had some feline traits cat eyes, and cat ears, it was kind of joke between their two names [Cheshire cat and a Hawk] then they first met, Keigo wasn't really interested in his wife at first, but that didn't stop her! so Keigo said if she could get Endeavor to laugh he'll take her on a date!

So she goes up to Endeavor and says "What happens when a hawk mates with a cat?..." The current number 1 looked at her bemused. "The English call it a Griffin, but I call it a cawk!" Hawks winced It was soo cringy, obscene and made no sense!... But it worked! Endeavor's lips twitched and he snorted! before breaking out in low chuckles, the rest is history.

Though his avian traits seemed to have overrode his wife's feline traits, I.e. {Finny has little red wings on her head instead of cat ears, and Keigo eye brows, However everything else is from his wife. the reality slip quirk {y/hc} hair and {y/eye} etc.

Kirishima's kid/Akara: Name meaning "Red Lightning" {Aka} meaning Red and [Ra] from the word Rai meaning lightning.

Eijirou and his wife thought they were having a boy so Akara's name was originally going to be Akahito "the red warrior" so when the baby that came out was obviously a girl, he and his wife panicked and couldn't figure out or agree on a new name, until Mina suggest a holding raffle everyone wrote a name down and put it in a hat. and the first name they pulled will be their daughter's name, they pulled out Denki's choice and settled on it and considering Akara's quirk: Hard-charge. it fits pretty well. 

(She can harden her skin like her dad. however, with every hit she takes, she can absorb kinetic energy from it, the energy turns into electricity which she can use to deliver powerful electric discharge attacks.) 

Her mom is Denki's cousin by the way... Her mom's Quirk is called Static pinch, she can store small amounts of static electricity and release tiny zaps from her thumb index and middle finger, if she gets close enough to an enemy she use the stored energy in her body like a taser via "Vulcan nerve pinch".

  Akara looks like her mother but has her dad's sharp teeth.

Shoto's kid/Koyuki name meaning "Little snow" kanji [Ko] meaning little and [Yuki] meaning snow.

Much like Katsuki children were a very touchy and distant subject for him, He was was always scared that he'll end up just like his father, he was adamant on having no kids, so when his wife announced that she was pregnant and keeping it, Shoto had a panic attack and ran off  for a couple days, until she calls Dabi who tracked him down and talked some sense into him...

(after punching him in the face for ditching his pregnant wife.) The his older brother pretty much told Shoto he's letting Enji win running off like that, and reminds him that they're both Endeavor's sons, but they are not their father, and will never be their father, they're better than him... and with that Dabi send his younger brother back his worried wife, Shoto apologizes and is working to prove he's not like his father. 

He keeps his daughter away from her grandfather who keeps badgering Shoto for another grandchild as he doesn't see Koyuki's quirk (Frost-breath) taking her anywhere in the future, Shoto has more or less politely told his father to go and pound sand.... as it was very difficult for Shoto's wife to conceive children and her pregnancy and birth was very stressful and traumatic for them, Koyuki was born prematurely and his wife had to stay in the hospital with a severe case of the flu.

Koyuki like  Shoto has bi-color hair on the left it's red and on the right it's [y/hc] she has her mom [y/ec] eyes she’s very happy and but timid child and often seen clinging to one of her parent's legs when stranger approaches, though she get's a bit more confident with time.

Izuku's kid/ Hinamori Name meaning: "sunshine forest" combines the kanji [Hina] for sunshine and the kanji [Mori] for Forest.

Not a surprise when he the number 1 hero's wife started showing a baby-bump a year and a half after their wedding, however what came as a surprise was how protective Izuku became when Reporters and his more eccentric fans didn't know how to keep their boundaries, they would not stop staring at his wife's boobs and trying to touch her belly, Izuku would block their view or slap their hands away and repeat. "Your not my mother or her (Relative.) Don't touch my wife..." he'd discharge his quirk a bit showing that he wasn't kidding around... 

The attention seem to blow over once Hinamori was born mainly due to Izuku buying a house in a gated community so the press couldn't get in so easily and bother the new family, Hinamori looks like her mom but she her y/hc hair is wild like Izuku's and she has his freckles, she likes reading and is often found in Izuku's study reading his old hero observation books. and has actually been working on some of her own, as Izuku has found her little dinosaur notebook with observations on Haruka, Koyuki and Akara.

Denki's kid: Raika name meaning: Lightning flower uses the kanji [Rai] for lightning and the kanji [Ka] from flower. 

Raika wasn't exactly planned... See Denki and his little lady were on vacation see? there was this music festival in Niagara-falls, and well...He and his wife had few too many and well details are bit blurred, but... Raika may or may not have been conceived in a handicap stall, but if she ever were to ask everyone's been told to say it was after Denki recued his wife from a villain holding her hostage and Raika was the end result of his reward, luckily she doesn't seem really interested in knowing her parents sexual history.

So there's a good chance shell never know! Raika has her dad's quirk, her hair is y/hc with a yellow/black lighting bolt streaked into it and her y/ec eyes flash yellow when using her quirk.

This started as me trying to think of something to write for a KestrelJay fic, but thanks to @mallowstep enabling me it became a full-on Po3 + OotS AU. I present to you: Po3 + OotS but the powers don’t come with a prophecy attached AU. Alternatively: Po3 + OotS but Jayfeather willingly became a medicine cat out of delusions of grandeur.

The only reason I’m deleting the dark forest part of the conflict is so I can use the powers but still have this AU be about an entirely new interpersonal conflict that doesn’t cross over with that whole thing

Jaykit figures out very early on about his dream powers, using it to hop across the dreams of his littermates and others in the nursery. Growing up he hears lots of stories about dreams and prophecies and medicine cats and the rest, so naturally he gets really excited about this special power and gets it into his head that he’s destined to be the next medicine cat.

(He can’t see in dreams on this one. He knows he’s actually dream hopping and not just dreaming of the others in the nursery because he’s very insistent about asking others what they dreamed about. The other kits are impressed but no adult gives him the time of day with it.)

Hollykit, ambitious little furball that she is, also gets it into her head that she’s going to be the next medicine cat. When playing in the nursery, the arguments about it are endless.

Lionkit’s concerned because if both his siblings become medicine cat apprentices, does that mean he’s gonna have to put up with that meanie Berrypaw all on his own? 3:

As they approach apprenticing age, Leafpool notices the two siblings are very much serious about wanting to be her apprentice. It’s at this time that Jaykit starts to brag about his dream hopping ability as if that’s going to guarantee him the position. Hollykit, meanwhile, is trying to help however she can.

Leafpool very much thinks Hollykit would make a better apprentice, she sounds much more helpful to have around and she thinks someone should really check Jaykit’s growing ego.

The day of their apprentice ceremony comes and Jaypaw is fucking pissed, like in canon Lionpaw goes to Ashfur, Hollypaw to Leafpool, and him to Brightheart.

Brightheart and Longtail are really trying to be helpful and encouraging here. Longtail even sort of came out of retirement just so he could assist them outside camp. But Jaypaw’s just being a brat and it makes all three miserable. He won’t listen to instructions, he rushes everything just so he can go pester Leafpool, when out on patrol he will try to sneak away, he is very rude to them, etc.

Lionpaw tries to be a supportive brother, trying to give Jaypaw encouragement and tips, reassuring him that he can grow up to be a great warrior, convincing Ashfur to let them train together, and so much more but he’s just met with the same scorn and aggression that Jaypaw has for Brightheart and Longtail. Doesn’t help matters that Lionpaw is just good at this, reinforcing Jaypaw’s belief that this is not his special destiny.

Hollypaw is trying her best, but like in canon she just struggles a lot with memorizing and identifying herbs and of course being grossed out by actually treating injuries. She also tries to extend an olive branch to Jaypaw, only to be met with scorn and particularly harsh insults. He also tries to butt in whenever he has the chance. Leafpool’s getting really fed up with all this.

This whole thing lasts for like a moon to a moon and a half and the whole of ThunderClan camp just doesn’t have the energy to deal with Jaypaw anymore. The general stress and just in general being so worn out give Jaypaw the perfect in to enter Leafpool’s usually more tightly guarded mind. She originally thinks the little brat has just been so annoying she ended up dreaming of him but when he turns up the next day and recites her whole dream to her, she sighs in defeat.

She’s perfectly aware that she shouldn’t reward him for wearing her down, but this has gone on long enough. She’s seen Hollypaw and she knows it would be better for her to swap mentors now. And if StarClan has given Jaypaw this power, she’s not about to go trying to prevent his destiny. She knows better than to piss them off.

Jaypaw is an immature, smug little shit about this whole thing, and Leafpool knows she has her work cut out for her in regards to nipping that in the bud. At the very least he’s obedient now and very eager to make up for lost time.

Their first night on the apprentice’s den, Hollypaw and Lionpaw begin to bond over complaining about their dickhead brother. It’s extremely cathartic and even though they’re keeping everyone else up they don’t mind either. They needed that release as well.

Hollypaw quickly learns that Lionpaw is very good at this warrior thing, way better than she’d expect with how behind she is. They figure out Lionpaw’s got a power as well, and while Hollypaw’s initially concerned he will turn out a dickhead as well, the experience of Jaypaw keeps Lionpaw humble. At least when not around Berrypaw.

It’s Jaypaw’s first half moon gathering and he can’t help but bounce with excitement. He’s excited to meet everyone and share tongues with StarClan and to be announced officially as Leafpool’s apprentice and all the rest. As they meet the others he finds that the other two apprentices are not being as friendly as he’d expected. Willowpaw is downright angry at him for costing her a friend, while Kestrelpaw is polite but distant. They’ve both been warned of him and seeing them both act so coldly really hurts Jaypaw.

(While all of this is happening, LionBerry is going through a rivals to lovers arc in the background. And of course we all know Hollypaw is massively gay for Willowpaw.)

Jaypaw is really lost on what to do. He wants to make friends with the other medicine cat apprentices, but he’s just not got the social skills for this. He thinks invading their privacy in dreams is a good idea, kind of forgetting everyone and their mother know of his power and that most people find that creepy.

It takes a while, but seeing his desperation to make friends, Kestrelpaw starts to open up and Jaypaw is massively emotional about it. They bond as friends and over time they get Willowpaw to also open up. The three become really close friends and they encourage Jaypaw to fix his relationship with his siblings.

When Hollyleaf and Lionblaze get their full names, Jaypaw starts to reach out to them. They’ve seen Jaypaw becoming more humble and minding his own business over time, so they’re willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But it still takes time for their relationship to be repaired.

Willowshine and Kestrelflight earn their full names and Jaypaw couldn’t be more proud of his friends. Him and Kestrelflight begin to date (using those handy-dandy dream powers they don’t even have to meet physically!) and he starts to relay messages between Willowshine and Hollyleaf.

It’s around this time that Flamepaw, the token straight of the medicine cat gang, shows up. He’s basically the reverse of that whole “Everyone has a gay cousin and if you don’t it’s you” thing, which becomes really apparent with how his gay cousins dominate the conversation at all the half moon gatherings.

(For the sake of the joke, his siblings are bi. He only learns this after telling them about how gay the half moon meetings are.)

When Jaypaw earns his full name, Leafpool names him Jaystorm because of how much of a handful he was as an apprentice and as a reminder to not fall back on those old behavior patterns.

Jaystorm announcing his full name to his siblings and showing healthy pride in his accomplishment is basically the end of his arc regarding repairing his relationships. They’re now all equals in the eyes of the clan and they get along pretty well. They’re his preferred escorts whenever he has to go out of camp and they’re glad to spend more time with him.

Fast forward to the time of OotS, Jaystorm notices fairly early on the signs that Dovekit also seems to have special powers and begins making plans to ensure she and Ivykit aren’t driven apart by ego and jealousy like he and his littermates were

Dovekit, thankfully, starts showing interest in becoming a medicine cat while Ivykit doesn’t. Come their apprentice ceremony, Jaystorm maneuvers to have himself be named the official mentor of Dovepaw and Hollyleaf the mentor of Ivypaw.

(Leafpool’s still around or something. I deliberately also omitted the fire scene and the parentage reveal drama. But she’s just not a character I’m interested in and sidelining her is for the good of the story.)

Having someone with partial medicine cat training mentoring Ivypaw means Jaystorm can very easily make an excuse to have her as part of his escort when herb gathering. Ivypaw, of course, complains endlessly about it, but she finds it nice to have time to spend with Dovepaw.

Under the guidance of the three, Dovewing and Ivypool grow up to be well adjusted adults who deal with the whole powers thing very maturely. All five of them are very close to each other, to the point the three almost consider those two as honorary little sisters.

(It’s fine, Cinderheart ends up having Fernsong with a completely unrelated tom. Lionblaze is too focused on his husband Berrynose to have eyes for anyone else. It fixes the incest, even.)

Hi, I’m a femme non-binary human! Last year, my husband and I (married for 5 years, been together for 12) embarked on a polyamorous journey. It’s been a sort of a wild ride and I just wanted a place where I could write about it without having a lot of close family seeing as we’re not fully out to them. Some know like my parents and sibling and some of my cousins. His family doesn’t know except for a couple of his close cousins.

I came out to my husband as bi when I was 27 (31 yo now). Since we’ve been together since I was 19, I never got to fully experience my queer side as I am a late bloomer. It’s sort of why we started talking about polyamory as I still love him deeply and want to be with him, but also want to have more experiences with other people. He also had only been with me sexually, so he also wanted to have new experiences, which made it only fair for the both of us. We are still very much in love and I’m happy we can securely do this together. It doesn’t mean it hasn’t been hard. There’s many things we have both had to look at it in our relationship and things we have also had to mourn as our relationship changes and moves to a new dynamic. Ultimately though, it has brought us closer and made us examine what we both want out of life and each other.

A lot of this will be sort of stream-of-consciousness style, not really planned. Just things I’m sort of thinking about and things I want to talk openly about.

I recently just came out to my husband as non-binary/gender fluid as well. I’m so happy I can be with such a supportive person who wants me to be fully me!

I hope to find one or more people like that to be with, but so far I haven’t had much luck. I’ve dated a few people, but the lesbian romance I desire just hasn’t really happened yet. I thought I was close to one recently, but it ended in heartbreak, unfortunately. I think we mostly liked the idea of each other more than the actual person. The sex was really hot and intense though and I find myself thinking about it a lot. Last night I had a dream about eating pussy and now it’s all I can think about. I’ve only had sex with femmes a handful of times so I’m still pretty new at it (again, late bloomer). How much he cares. About the people he works with and especially about his patients. I like that people like him. He’s fundamentally kind, even though he’s an asshole sometimes. I love everything about him really, but this is my favorite part. He just cares so deeply.

I wouldn’t really call it an OTP but the only Hawkeye ship I really like is Hawkeye/Margaret, which I ship causally. Honestly my favorite ship to read is Hawkeye/OC, if it’s well-written, because I want him to find someone (and I think he wants that) but I don’t necessarily see him ending up with anyone from the 4077th or think it’s realistic that he would. But also I think he should be single for a while. I like to say my OTP is Hawkeye/being okay. I’m also really interested in his past with Carlye but I don’t want them back together.

There are days I’m close to liking hunnihawk and I still read it mostly because it’s the bulk of what there is, but hunnihawk. There are also days I really can’t stand it. I do love their friendship although I care more about almost every other Hawkeye relationship. Also, Hawkeye/Sidney. Doesn’t that relationship have enough ethical violations already?

unpopular opinion

I have never gotten behind Jewish Hawkeye. I don’t dislike it and it’s fun to explore in fic but I don’t interpret canon Hawkeye that way. I am Jewish myself, for the record. Also, I do think Hawkeye is bi, but I think he either prefers women or is about equal and just pursues women more because it’s safer and easier, and I don’t think he has any angst about it. I also don’t think cousin Billy was abusive, just a bully. I basically have issues with basically every take on Hawkeye I’ve seen in fic, although I often really like some parts. There are probably more specifics but I can’t think of them right now. Oh does it count that I’m on his side in both Bottle Fatigue and Commander Pierce? I don’t think that’s super unpopular here, but the show clearly doesn’t agree with me, so.
