Jude & Moon Travel - Follow Up PV Thoughts on the Pocket Watch & Big Ben

The 10:10 on Jude's pocket watch kept bothering me, and although the animation of of Big Ben in his PV is recycled from other PVs, it is very prominently pointing to 12 o'clock. Seeing as the moon is and the clocktower are heavily implied as route hints, I decided to read the book, "From the Earth to the Moon," by Jules Verne. There are no spoilers really, but just in case. This isn't that lengthy. And this is just for fun.

This book is the one that Jude refers to in his bond stories, "Hobbies", and "Moonlit Night".

In "Hobbies", Jude says that he's going to make Ellis look into every author on the papers Jude was looking into that discussed moon travel. "Physics, engineering, astronomy.....", Jude goes on to say that he is going to nab all the good researchers before others can. He goes as far as chiding the author of the book for spouting nonsense like it's something that could be accomplished.

In "Moonlit Night," Jude mentions that the book is telling the truth in that it would take 11 kilometers per second to make it to the moon.

So, what does that have to do with the actual book, his PV, and are there any other tidbits we can pick up on Jude from this?

A quick summary of the Book: It's just after the American Civil War, and a group of guys with too much time on their hands are basically complaining because they have nothing to do. However, Impey Barbicane enters the picture and says, 'Bros, let's go to the moon.' Barbicane then sets out with his friends to design and build a cannon that will shoot a hollow-shelled bullet to the moon.

Quick Thoughts: This book, while it's science and calculations are outdated, is very thoroughly researched. There's so many algebraic calculations, mentions of books, papers, and scrolls all the way from the B.C.E to C.E. that it's no wonder Jude read it and took a thorough interest in it. Jude likes scientific explanations after all (HW epilogue). If you're into sci-fi or astronomy, this is a very good book to read. The most important feature about this book is: TIME. Timing is EVERYTHING, down to the seconds.

Hints/Potential Basis to Jude lore-

Impey Barbicane: I laughed when I learned that after being the director of artillery (in which he was an inventor), Barbicane made a large fortune as a wood merchant. He's described as being calm, cold, austere, of a serious and self-contained demeanor, not chivalrous, of immovable character and last but not least......punctual as a chronometer. He is also highly intelligent.

Six Questions: In the book, Barbicane writes a letter of six questions regarding moon travel to the Observatory of Cambridge in Massachusetts. I won't write what they are, but in time he gets a response from them with six answers. Most notably, here is what we need to know for Jude:

The cannon must be shot at a very specific time, when the zenith and the perigee align at the most opportune moment. Basically, this is when the moon is the closest to the earth. This will allow for the greatest chance of a successful landing.

The Observatory then tells the protag that in one year's time (on December 1st), the moon will be closest to the earth, and this is their best shot. If they miss this opportunity, then they'd need to wait another 18 years and 11 days after this.

The launch should take place exactly at 10 hours, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds on December 1st.

The crew should reach their destination precisely at midnight on December 4th.

Funding and Manual Labor: They even did the math of how much it would take to build and the cost was well over the millions in USD. To which, Barbicane said not to worry, and then proceeded to obtain the money. The labor was intense as a giant hole had to be dug into the ground for the launch space, amongst other things. It's a lot.....the building of the shell alone would cost about 2,035 pounds in Victorian times, which is equivalent to 327,712.76 pounds today, or $425,242.02.

PV Correlations: After I read the book I got super excited, because this means that the 12 o'clock hour on Big Ben, is probably referring to the 12 o'clock hour that Jude is supposed to land on the moon.

Additionally, the fact that Barbicane is a punctual chronometer says a lot about his pocket watch. It's not a normal pocket watch, but one that has a built in chronograph. Essentially, these are an extra built in complication (or feature) that can measure time, distance and speed. All of which are essential. It can come with up to three chronometers.

What does that mean for Jude's PV? After I researched all this, and reviewed the PV again, Jude's pocket watch has a chronograph/chronometer on it. Additionally, the watch is at 10:10, and I know some of us were wondering if that specific time held any significance. Well, perhaps (though the hands aren't shown to be moving), the minutes hand is making it's way down to the 46th minute of 10 o'clock....to the 40th second of that minute.

Time is running out. IF (and that's a big IF), Jude is truly using Verne's book as a guide, he may be in a race against time to launch his "cannon" into space as the moon and earth are reaching it's zenith, at exactly 10:46 at 40 seconds. Otherwise, he may have to wait a very long time to reach it again.

It's just another theory and it doesn't discredit any others in anyway. I think time will play a part in his route in several ways, but I think it's important to note, especially with the IkeVil LINE icon changing to a clock face AND, one of the LINE questions that Jude asks you is from Moonlit Night....about the 11 km per second (which is the distance it takes from the book of 12,000 yd per sec), to get to the moon.

I’d do anything for a baby Barbicane

Impey’s reaction to the news of his spouse being pregnant would be pure, unfiltered joy mixed with a kind of wide-eyed awe that only he could bring to the situation. He’s the kind of person whose heart is as big as his dreams, and this news would hit him in the best possible way.

The moment his spouse told him, it would probably be during some ordinary, everyday moment—perhaps while he was tinkering with an invention or working on the ornithopter. He'd be so engrossed in his project that he wouldn’t quite catch on at first.

“I’m pregnant.”

Impey would pause for a second, one of his tools slipping from his hands as he blinked at them, almost comically confused. “Huh?” he’d mutter, as if trying to process the words.

When the realization finally hit, his reaction would be almost explosive—eyes wide, mouth falling open in disbelief before quickly turning into the brightest, happiest grin imaginable.

“Wait, really? Like, really really?” he’d ask, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet. Once he got confirmation, he'd let out a joyous whoop, picking them up and twirling them around in the air with his incredible strength, laughing all the while.

“Oh my gosh, we’re going to have a baby!” he’d exclaim, his excitement so infectious that it would be impossible not to smile along with him. He’d kiss them all over—forehead, cheeks, lips, anywhere he could reach—as he babbled on about how amazing this was.

Once the initial burst of excitement subsided, Impey would get down on his knees and place both hands gently on their stomach, a look of awe crossing his features. “There’s really a little one in there?” he’d ask, his voice softening with wonder. “Wow… I can’t believe it. We’re going to be parents…”

He’d be completely in awe of the idea, his mind racing ahead to all the things he wanted to do as a father. He’d talk about teaching their child how to fix things, how to build machines, and all the adventures they would have together. The excitement would pour out of him like an endless stream.

But there would also be a tender side to him in this moment, one that not everyone got to see. He’d take their hands in his and look at them with such love and devotion that it would melt anyone’s heart. “I know I’m a bit of a goofball, but I promise you—I’m going to be the best dad I can be. Our kid’s going to know so much love and happiness, just like you’ve given me.”

He’d be protective but in a more playful, lighthearted way, constantly checking in on them to make sure they were comfortable, offering to build all sorts of contraptions to make things easier for them during the pregnancy. From a self-rocking chair to some kind of hovering cot, he’d already be planning a future filled with gadgets and love.

For Impey, the idea of becoming a father would feel like the greatest adventure of his life—an adventure he couldn’t wait to embark on with his spouse by his side.

On October 22nd 1871, Sir Roderick Murchison, the Scottish geologist, died.

Roderick Impey Murchison, the “King of Siluria”, was born at Tarradale House, Muir of Ord into a wealthy family and educated at Durham School and the Royal Military College. After army service in the Peninsular War, retiring as Captain, he married and settled down in England, however his wife, Charlotte Hugonin, who was a geologist, persuaded him, as did the chemist Sir Humphry Davy, to take up science instead. So in 1824 the Murchisons moved to London where Roderick attended lectures in geology and chemistry at the Royal Institution and joined the Geological Society of London.

The following year he read his first paper to the Geological Society and by 1831 he was its President. He carried out extensive fieldwork, often with the able assistance of his wife, in England, Scotland, continental Europe and Russia, publishing the results in over 180 papers and three books. He rose to become, in 1855, the Director-General of the British Geological Survey and received many honours, including being knighted in 1846 and being made a baronet in 1866. When the Edinburgh Geological Society elected him as their first Patron in 1863, they acquired a highly influential ally at a time when the Society was recovering from a period of decline.

Murchison is remembered particularly for establishing the Silurian system of rocks in his key fieldwork area of South Wales and the Welsh Borderland. His friend, Adam Sedgwick, working in North Wales, established the Cambrian system. Unfortunately they fell into dispute over the boundary between the Cambrian and the Silurian, a disagreement that was finally settled by Charles Lapworth when he proposed a totally new intervening system, the Ordovician. Murchison was also involved in establishing the Devonian and Permian systems, the latter as a result of his explorations in Russia.

In his final years the argumentative Murchison became embroiled in the bitter controversy over the structure of the North-West Highlands of Scotland. He maintained that the rock sequence there was an undisturbed one, younging from west to east and capped by his beloved Silurian. His opponent, and fellow Scottish geologist, Professor James Nicol, instead interpreted Murchison’s “Silurian” as being much older rocks emplaced by earth movements on top of younger ones.

It was not until Murchison’s disciple, Archibald Geikie, became Director-General of the Survey in 1882 and sent his best surveyors to the area that the controversy was finally settled in favour of the complicated system of thrusts that we know today. (Geikie was also the first Regius Professor of Geology at the University of Edinburgh, a position that was endowed by his mentor, Murchison, on condition that he nominate the post-holder.)

There are at least fifteen places on Earth, and a crater on the Moon, named after Murchison. One is Murchison House at The King’s Buildings, Edinburgh: it was the headquarters of the British Geological Survey in Scotland until it relocated to The Lyell Centre in 2016.

Murchison died on this day in 1871, and is buried in Brompton Cemetery, London, near the north end of the arcade on the west side of the central path as seen in the second pic.

Code Realize Love Interests Review

So I have finished the first code realize game and started on blessings however I really don't see my mind changing on the men I love and in the order I love them in. So here is my review of the wonderful men and where they hold a place in my heart within this series. This is based more of the games than the anime since anime only puts cardia with Lupin. There will be spoilers so if you have yet to play then I would say hold off if you plan to.

Saint Germain - This is a beautiful, beautiful man inside and out. He really is passionate and has a heart of gold you just have to get to a point where you see this part of him. He is loyal, loving, and will absolutely die for the love his life. He can be a bit possessive but at the same time its a very sexy appeal to him. He will protect at any cost the one he loves even kill all the apostles or give up immortality and die. He is very affectionate and loves to show off with kisses. He has such poetic words that take my breath away especially in the bridge scene where he tells cardia if she is a monster so is he, if she shouldn't live nor should he etc. This man is not only attractive, I mean absolutely gorgeous but he matches it with his personality yet never lets looks keep him humble. This mans emotions when he feels he could lose cardia breaks me I have never cried so much in games until this man. He can pull at my heartstrings like no other. Even when he feels he could lose her to Lupin in blessings him begging lupin to say nothing of his insecurities to cardia I couldn't help but break down crying. I love Saint Germain and I truly love, loving him.

2. Impey - Now this one creeped up and was a complete surprise to me. So first of all his story brought tears to my eyes especially the sad ending. As for the anime he annoyed the piss out of me he seemed like a cocky stalker to me. So he was the first I romanced in the game to get him over with because I just didn't see how I would like him. Well here is where the surprise is he admits the reason he is flirty from the start is because he believes in love at first sight and believes he has fallen for cardia the day he meets her. He is also the one that no matter the route your on he wants you to be happy even if its not with him, he is the only one like this. He has such a gentle soul and as you let him in you find he is such a loyal person to his love and to his friends. He dreams big but he wants to take the woman he loves with him and show her off no matter what he wants people to know not as a possessive way but as a proud to be hers way.

He is the first to propose like he has no doubts all in just say the word. He would follow cardia through anything all she has to say it. Due to this if someone he is in love with was to say bad things or shut him down it would crush his soul I believe. He is protective and would die for the one he loves even if its not the smart move he makes the decision on his own. I think Impey would make a good husband and provider and even though he is a vampire he does not let this render him from doing anything but protecting the people that mean most to him. He does have more humor but he is very optimistic. I like to call him my little dreamer boy because the stars in his eyes really do shine brighter than any other love interest. He isn't afraid to sit by his loves bedside and hold her hand when she is sick, or kick someones butt for saying something he finds rude to her. He will take her to the moon one day and kiss her where no gravity can hold their hearts down. Thank you Impey for showing us how to be loved so purely and unconditional.

3. Herlock Sholmes - So after finally finishing his story I felt the need to update this all and change my order. This man is flirty, and passionate and mischievous. I love it and he drips sex appeal even when he don't try. He holds himself like a gentleman and will protect Cardia at any cost. He is the prince charming that will wake her from her slumber as well as will wait for her to be by his side with no other women to distract his end goal. He is adorable in how he proposed and the fact he comes to see her often in a years time to leave her flowers and such makes him such a genuine character that he has a part of my heart as well. I did a more in depth review of him but I will leave it as he is the kind of man I would be ok holding my heart even if he can't clean or cook he can look good while you do it for him and gives you eye candy.

4. Victor Frankenstein - I really had no interest in him from the start of the game because based on the anime he seemed like a quiet little mouse that I just couldn't imagine a good romance from. Omg I'm so happy to say I was wrong this man has alot of pain in his past but once he lets cardia in he has so much love to give. He has such a soft and romantic heart he is the kind that you could see growing old with and would be there holding your hand as you age telling you how beautiful you get with every day. He is the type you would want to be your soulmate thats for sure. Then come into blessings and he blew me away he isn't just a quiet mouse that stands beside you no he will stand between you and anyone who could cause you harm. He showed a very strong protective side as well which I was so happy to see. His story did make me cry in some parts but this is what I love about Fran he really is a great man and his looks weren't top for me but this ginger boy grows on you and becomes a little more attractive every time he opens his mouth. He is as about as innocent as cardia though I doubt he has even lost his virginity but thats what makes them super cute together.

5. Arsene' Lupin - Ok everyone knows he really is Cardia's great love and I mean it isn't hard to see it whether in the anime or the game. I do like them together and I feel like he would love her to his dying breath. I just worry would he ever truly be able to give up life as a thief and give her the home she truly deserves without stealing everything. He showed how loyal and how much he would take care of her emotionally and love her though so I do respect him for that. I can see how he looks at her and his gentleman ways make him quiet a catch. He is also attractive something about him wearing that mask is just so hot. Anyways I do love lupin please don't misunderstand that and not only is he a good guy and love interest his love is pure he looks no where else. I feel like he pushes her to be better and to protect herself. He gives her street smarts and teaches her the ways of the world he isn't over protective he wants to see her shine on her own while he holds her hand. He keeps to his promises at any cost and that I can respect him for. All in all I do think he is a good one.

6. Abraham Van Helsing - So based off the tv anime I really thought I would like him, I did worry about how broken he was from losing his wife and kid but was surprised how in the game its his mom and brother he loses, not sure why that was changed. Anyways you can tell apart of him is broken and he struggles to let someone in although I see their point of changing to his mom and brother so that he would want to have a romance again in the game but I feel like the pain you see in Van honestly fits closer to someone who did lose a wife and kid. Also I feel like cardia helped him by just being stubborn as he was just to get close to him. He will always be a protective soul especially after losing his family and blaming himself in some way for not being protective enough.

He also believes the woman he loves he wants her to be able to take care of herself if he doesn't get there in time. He is probably the most stubborn one cardia has to push through to love and lacks alot of romance that I wish was there. That being said Van still is a good guy and when he learns to let her in he wants to show her the world. He over comes so much to be the guy she needs in her life and I respect him for that. I was surprised the naughtiness he had in him after they were together though that I did no see coming but oh was it worth seeing him naked in bed.

As Sonia trudged through the snow behind him, she rather doubted it was something they could have seen coming, any of them. She couldn't bring herself to complain about the weight of the heavy-framed hiking backpack on her shoulders, or the fact that she could barely feel her fingers beneath her leather gloves. They'd been walking for hours, ever since the getaway car in a pinch had died by the side of the road hours outside of Tokyo. Sonia hadn't kept track, she'd been in no place to keep track: instead, she could only rely on Lupin to know the way, by map and compass and whatever device Victor and Impey had rigged up to show them the path towards a hideout cabin in the mountains, one of the Comte's more modest, remote properties.

No, instead of trying to correct their steps as the snow began to fall, she followed in his wake like a zombie, like a ghost. Rather like the man, the terrorist (but a man all the same), who had smuggled her off the dance floor and into a side hallway in the hotel with every intention to take her life right then and there. Big and brutish, he'd blended in only due to his attire and presumed relation to another European kingdom, but once his hand had clamped down over her wrist she knew he was not a gentleman at all. It was crystal clear, once he'd chosen to show off and draw out her murder by wrapping both hands around her neck and proceeding to choke her last breath out of her.

An explosion had gone off in the ballroom, something the man hadn't expected: it had diverted his attention just long enough for Sonia to rip the velcro that held her ballgown skirt to the rest of her dress, retrieved the knife strapped to her right thigh, and plunged it into the man's neck without hesitation. It was frightening, how in a split second she watched the life leave his eyes instead of vice-versa: she stammered in shocked gibberish as he gasped and she pulled her weapon out of him, blood splattering down the front of her gown.

That was how Saint Germain had found her, shaking beneath her burly assailant's weight as the metal tip of her knife tapped against the floor. Van Helsing hadn't been far behind, and the two of them had hauled the body off her, the former mercenary taking the blade while the Comte helped Sonia to her feet.

Everything else had been a blur: Lupin, Victor, and Impey had rejoined them and the men debated, or rather argued, between them about what was to be done with her. A burden, bigger than she already was on them: even if they'd been hired to look after her welfare, the Princess of Novoselic committing murder in self-defense was likely not in their plans. She only remembered Van Helsing's remarks of annoyance that Sonia had allowed herself to be led away, and the state of shock she was in. And Victor, who had handed her a pile of clean, warm, practical clothes and guarded the bathroom door as Sonia stripped off her underskirt, her bodice, her heels, even the replica jewels that she'd selected, and into the outfit she'd been given. Complete with a heavy coat and hiking boots, a far cry from the finery she'd just ruined. She'd barely had enough time to scrub at the blood beneath her fingernails when they'd come to a consensus: Lupin would take her, deep into the mountains where even the most determined pursuers would be discouraged to follow. Not this time of year, not with the heavy snow.

It took her a moment to realize that Lupin hadn't meant foreseeing her murder, but the fact that they were hopelessly lost and falling snow had turned into a blizzard. "We are...lost, then," She called out, having to raise her voice to be heard over the wind. In more ways than one: Sonia suspected it was easier to find her way out of the woods during a blizzard than the maze in her mind, in her heart.

She'd washed them three times in that bathroom, and her hands still weren't clean enough. She'd stabbed someone, she'd killed someone. The wind howled and the snow  blew around them and if she caught frostbite there, she deserved it. Didn't she? And not a cabin that clearly wasn't Saint Germain's, whose lock Lupin had made quick work of? Maybe if things had turned out differently, the prospect of breaking into a cabin in the woods would have held some excitement for her.

"I am not sure what of the past twenty-four hours would prompt a romantic getaway," She murmured. Sonia couldn't help but sigh in relief at the break in the wind: even if the cabin itself was still quite frigid, it was a significant improvement than snow in her eyes and a nose that rivaled Rudolph's. "Thank you, though: I feel like I should be more concerned that we are off course and in someone else's cabin entirely, but you should not have to journey through that storm."

She hadn't included herself in that, but if she sat down on the cabin's snow-covered porch and waited for hypothermia to claim her she doubted Lupin would let that slide. And to think, twenty-four hours ago she'd been thrilled to attend a real party, the first in months, while her biggest conundrum was trying to figure out why he called her his treasure, or his claim that he wouldn't let anyone lay a finger on her. Sonia unbuckled the backpack strap that secured it to her waist before slipping her arms through the straps, lowering it to the cabin floor. Her immediate reaction, freed of the pack and her gloves, was to bring her hand to her throat and winced at the pain: she was, most certainly, bruised with clear finger indentations.

She shook her head, freeing some of the snowflakes that had stuck to her hat. "We will need a fire," She said dully. It was easier, she knew, to go through the motions of what they needed to do to keep him alive: heat and food and ample time with both, as opposed to untangle the myriad of emotions she kept trying to numb. "And see if the electricity works. And let the others know we are alive."

It was beyond being cocky as it is being territorial and selfish.

“Hmm, isn’t that ominous.” A cabin located in the woods, it really reminded him of the many movies he’s seen with her when they would encounter nothing but supernatural entities, or wendigos of the like. “This would have to do 𝙼𝚘𝚗 𝚌𝚘𝚎𝚞𝚛, not the romantic get away..-” Sentence paused as he leans downwards to pick the cold hard lock and allowed the door to slowly creek open.

Headcanons for the Code: Realize guys comforting an S/O having a bad day?

Lupin:

Your exhaustion is as clear as day, your face painted with the disappointments of a bad day

Lupin, upon seeing you, immediately jumps at asking you whats wrong- he's incredibly worried by the way you're dragging yourself

Whether you tell him or not, he's going to figure out you had a bad day... which, lets be honest, wasn't too difficult to figure out

Lupin's definitely going to urge you to sit down for a cup of tea and some pastries with him; asking you about your day and whats been going on...

He'll recount some more of his funnier tales of "gentlemanly thievery", and he's more likely to be a little more flamboyant then usual to try and get that smile back on your face

Of course, if you're more depressed.... he'll quietly whisk you away to your room, where you'll settle down in bed in his arms as the two of you enjoy eachother's company in silence

Impey:

Right away, Impey can tell something is off with you

He brings you over to the kitchen table, exclaiming that you'd feel better with some good food before he disappears into the kitchen for a while...

And comes back with small dishes, pastries, and treats! They all smell delicious- and all happen to be your favourites too ;)

Of course, Impey isn't going to miss that glint in your eye when you see and smell the food, and he's going to watch with a grin on his face as you eat whatever you desire

Once you've had your fill, he'll insist you tell him what's wrong- was it just a stressful day? Are you feeling down?

Impey is an amazing listener, and he gives surprisingly solid advice! Of course, if it's called for, you can expect him to get up from his seat across the table, come over to you and take your hand- before pulling you into the sweetest hug you've ever felt.... and the most gentle kiss you'll ever experience

Van Helsing:

Helsing isn't going to ask you what's wrong; instead, he straight just asks if you want to do something together

He may bring you out on a dinner date, or take you to a store you're fond of or one he thought may interest you... or he may take you to go see a performance of some kind

He isn't one to be very emotional, of course.... so he's better at being able to lead you to something to distract you from your problems.

Hell, don't be surprised if he comes to you with a board game or something! (Ok, you can be a little bit surprised)

Victor:

After asking you whats wrong, he's more then happy to pull you along back to his room/outside

Why, you may ask? Well, not only does he bring you along, but also a bunch of vials...

Victor knows a bunch of different reactions that can happen with the various elements he has, and he's going to show you all the cool, fun, and interesting ones he can!

Usually he's precise and careful with his reactions, but as he's trying to cheer you up now- he's not afraid to go for some of the more showy, messy, blasty or dangerous reactions!

And if the reactions werent enough to take your mind off things, then youre bound to find amusement in Victor's awkwardness/shyness/silliness as he fumbles on occasion!

The two of you will end up giggling and laughing into the evening, I assure you!

Saint Germain:

The Count stays silent when he sees your expression, obviously noting something is wrong

But he's quick to approach you and ask if you'd like to take a walk with him

He takes you into the streets of Steel London, stopping by various shops and stores, picking up anything that catches your eye along the way

He brings you to a cafe, and the two of you enjoy some nice pastries and tea under the evening sun

Eventually, he leads you to a place overlooking the city- and the sunset. It truly is a beautiful place....

He makes sure that you're not too cold, and that you have something to snack on if you wish

Overall, it really is just a pleasant day with the Count; he doesn't ask questions, he doesn't assume or anything.... he knew something was wrong, and he worked to take your mind off things and help you feel better.

Of course, if youre too tired or depressed for an outing, a worried Saint Germain will find you in your room a little later, bringing along with him anything from a book to read to you from, snacks and tea, or nothing at all... with full intent on taking you in his arms and singing a gentle lullaby for you until your exhaustion carries you into a world of sleep in his loving embrace....

Hello Enstarries~☆ It hasn't been 24h yet but lucky enough, I'm a master procrastinator so here's the next part with UNDEAD already. This whole series is probably more like me talking in an echo chamber but that's also alright. I couldn't eternalise my first thoughts from other games, which is quite a shame. So this will be a nice memory to look at when someday the game ends and enough time has passed for my opinions on them to have changed. I sure hope that that someday is still very far away.

Anyways here's my last post about Trickstar, if you're curious enough and want more info about me and enstars. And the next one as well, if I'm committed enough to continue.

Ah yes, the sexyish bad boy group. Military aesthetic once more but make them goth. All their uniforms are slightly different from each other but still cohesive, which is nothing groundbreaking but I just wanted to mention I love stuff like this. And these outfits in general. Really cool stuff. Also, everyone has different gloves. Purple is my fav color so I might be biased. Their songs are more rock 'n roll with a lot of guitars, which isn't exactly my go to genre but it's nice to listen to it sometimes. Melody in the Dark & Valentine Eve's Nightmare are my favs. They also sing with these oldies microphones, which is cool but looks a bit funny when they gotta take the whole thing to switch places. Surface aside, they're all much sweeter than their image leads on?? Like, I was surprised upon reading their Ep.1.

7.5/10 - I like them a bit, mainly for their color scheme but I think I'll like them for more as well

Rei Sakuma

I thought he was some mysterious flirt, who will tease and entice you to do flirty stuff but he's actually a nice old vampire next door. His vocabulary and tech knowledge may be from the 19th century but he drinks his respect women (& tomato) juice 👍I know he sleeps in a coffin and has a younger brother who hates him for some reason, so there's something he may have fucked up....He's also very pretty. Possibly one of the prettiest one out of the whole cast. His voice is very attractive as well, sounds like melted chocolate.

8/10 - i like him, he's pretty, polite, lives with a distinct lowkey flair, this card is amazing

Kaoru Hakaze

Flirty boys often make me weak. Not bc I actually fall for their flirting but I like what hides beneath that. Be it trauma (Ikki, Amesia), shyness (Inigo, FE:Awakening), dorkiness (Impey, Code:Realize). I knew instinctively he's one of them and his panicking monologue Ep.1 that lasts for ⅓ of the time was my proof. I don't think he's christian (like smn else) even though he has a cross necklace here. It would fit more with Rei's vampire package but whatever. He seems easy to fluster, which is just the cherry on top. His voice is also nice, melodic and sweet but only like 65% chocolate.

8.5/10 - Cute but hot as well, I wonder what more he hides

Koga Ogami

Wild and rowdy. I know he jumped on poor Anzu on her first day. Imagine falling on your face bc of some rude dog boy on your first school day smh. I used to mistake him for Izumi and vice versa. Similiar hairstyle and haircolor, though his color scheme is warmer. Idk why he insists on being taking the saying lone wolf so literally but if it works 🤷‍♀️ He really went at it during Nightless World's MV with his guitar. Surprised he composes but somehow also not. I guess, he's just very creative and passionate, hence his wolf persona.

6/10 - he's not average but also not that interesting

Adonis Otogari

What a gentleman. He reminds me of Guy (A3!) what with him being rather stoic and looking slightly intimidating but is actually quite caring. And he might have important parents in his homeland? Maybe it's not that special tho, considering he's attending a private academy and looking at the rest of the cast....He's probably the tsukkomi from his unit. Might have the patience of a saint. I didn't expect him to have such a deep voice and it felt a bit off at first, but maybe that's just bc I was still playing A3! and there's another character with the same VA, who's quite different. This is the second time I see this VA in an idol franchise, the idol in question is Gaku from Idolish7. His unit's vibe is also similiar. I forgot to mention it but FORBIDDEN RAIN is an absolute banger as well.

7/10 - I look forward to getting to know him better

Conclusion

This group is one of the more normal units, I think, which is pretty telling of the other ones. Overall on a more favourable side. I dig their costumes and voices.

Reading their Ep.1 made me question whether I suddenly shifted games or smth. Especially Kaoru's??? He's so funny panicking and being all "I'm usually so much coolee why is she so cute? 😣". Rei's manner of speech and the library made me think of these isekai manwhas on the rise. Adonis was suddenly talking about world disasters (ain't that hitting close home) and his guilt of not being of more help and slight desire to just stay in safe Japan but ultimately not regretting helping his land. And Koga is struggling to find his individual self after finally finding a place to belong. Like, what is this tone shift from Trickstar!? I guess, this is a sneek peak to what we will see more of in future events and character development? Do characters have that here?

To put it bluntly, it had been quite a year.

From summits focused on climate change and immigration to new initiatives to expand the arts and sports in her country, Sonia had never felt quite so busy before. Of course, there was nothing, by means of formal education at least, to distract her. She was a full-time working royal.

Save for that temporary sojourn. A diversion she hadn’t even crafted herself: it had been thrust upon her in the form of a kidnapping twice-over: once intending to cause her harm, the other intending to save her. For all of the good she’d hoped she’d done in the world and in Novoselic that year, that had been the most exciting part of it all. It felt like the end of an impromptu holiday once she’d been returned home, safe and sound, threats neutralized, allowing the princess to go about her business once again. It was the last, she’d assumed, that she would’ve seen the likes of Mister Saint, of Fran, Van, and Impey.

Of Mister Lupin, the one who had been the one to start it all. Maybe not orchestrate it in entirety, but he’d been the one she’d met first, freed her from the ropes that had bound her to a basement chair before spiriting her off onto a plane, going forth on the biggest adventure of her year. Maybe even her life.

She wasn’t sure, then, as she stood in her evening gown at a party thrown by some European aristocrat, if she was happy to be wrong. On one hand, Mister Lupin had donned one of his many disguises and had managed to corner her alone with a bottle of seasonal French wine. On the other, if he was caught there, he’d be in serious trouble. It wasn’t as if the nobility across the continent, much less the world, didn’t know that he was a thief. 

“If you don’t mind, please explain it again,” She insisted. Sonia smiled, holding her glass steady for him to pour. It was freezing outside and her long coat was trapped in the coat check room, but it was the only place, a corner of the palace’s grand terrace, that they’d likely be able to speak without him needing to keep on a disguise. “You left the others behind in London, where I’m sure Mister Saint has plenty of excellent wines on hand, to bring a bottle of French wine to Novoselic.”

The unsaid implication was, naturally, the following: my country is known around the world for their excellent wines. Why did you trouble yourself with this?

“At this time, I feel as if I should, as they say, ‘ride the wave!’ But it still puzzles me.” She meant ‘go with the flow’ but idioms still weren’t Sonia Nevermind’s strong suit. Nor was silencing her natural curiosity: a New Years Resolution she wouldn’t be taking on anytime soon.

  Impey continued to say encouraging, comforting things, and noticed her breathing wasn’t as chaotic. ❛ Is she calming down? I hope she calming down. I can’t think of any more things to say! Unless ridiculous things count. ❜ Impey thought, but immediately shoved those things to the side. ❝ How are you feeling? Do you need to sit down? ❞ hopefully he wasn’t asking too many questions. Impey was just worried about the young woman.

On October 22nd 1871, Sir Roderick Murchison, the Scottish geologist, died.

Roderick Impey Murchison, the “King of Siluria”, was born at Tarradale House, Muir of Ord into a wealthy family and educated at Durham School and the Royal Military College. After army service in the Peninsular War, retiring as Captain, he married and settled down in England, however his wife, Charlotte Hugonin, who was a geologist, persuaded him, as did the chemist Sir Humphry Davy, to take up science instead. So in 1824 the Murchisons moved to London where Roderick attended lectures in geology and chemistry at the Royal Institution and joined the Geological Society of London. 

The following year he read his first paper to the Geological Society and by 1831 he was its President. He carried out extensive fieldwork, often with the able assistance of his wife, in England, Scotland, continental Europe and Russia, publishing the results in over 180 papers and three books. He rose to become, in 1855, the Director-General of the British Geological Survey and received many honours, including being knighted in 1846 and being made a baronet in 1866. When the Edinburgh Geological Society elected him as their first Patron in 1863, they acquired a highly influential ally at a time when the Society was recovering from a period of decline.

Murchison is remembered particularly for establishing the Silurian system of rocks in his key fieldwork area of South Wales and the Welsh Borderland. His friend, Adam Sedgwick, working in North Wales, established the Cambrian system. Unfortunately they fell into dispute over the boundary between the Cambrian and the Silurian, a disagreement that was finally settled by Charles Lapworth when he proposed a totally new intervening system, the Ordovician. Murchison was also involved in establishing the Devonian and Permian systems, the latter as a result of his explorations in Russia.

In his final years the  argumentative Murchison became embroiled in the bitter controversy over the structure of the North-West Highlands of Scotland. He maintained that the rock sequence there was an undisturbed one, younging from west to east and capped by his beloved Silurian. His opponent, and fellow Scottish geologist, Professor James Nicol, instead interpreted Murchison’s “Silurian” as being much older rocks emplaced by earth movements on top of younger ones. 

It was not until Murchison’s disciple, Archibald Geikie, became Director-General of the Survey in 1882 and sent his best surveyors to the area that the controversy was finally settled in favour of the complicated system of thrusts that we know today. (Geikie was also the first Regius Professor of Geology at the University of Edinburgh, a position that was endowed by his mentor, Murchison, on condition that he nominate the post-holder.)

There are at least fifteen places on Earth, and a crater on the Moon, named after Murchison. One is Murchison House at The King’s Buildings, Edinburgh: it was the headquarters of the British Geological Survey in Scotland until it relocated to The Lyell Centre in 2016.

Murchison died on this day in 1871, and is buried in Brompton Cemetery, London, near the north end of the arcade on the west side of the central path as seen in the last pic.

He talks about the moon and how he wants you with him every step of the way to help with his dreams as well as give you yours. He is the man that will truly give you the moon, he will take you on a trip to the moon and stars and he might just teach you how to touch it all before coming back to earth all while he is by your side.

Uncharted Territory

The world sped past you in a blur, your giggling filling the air as your boyfriend ran recklessly down hallways while you clung to him.

You knew waking up this morning that he would be excited, but you had underestimated his energy when you sat to discuss with him what had been on your mind the last few days.

At first he was speechless when you told him you were finding yourself lonely at night and wanted to start sharing the same bed, but it didn't take long for him to start whooping and yelling like his usual self. Of course, you had to remind him that he had the entire day to get through before the time came, but that didn't dampen his mood in the least.

After a suspiciously lavish dinner made by his own hands, you found yourself growing tired. You had made the mistake of announcing your intention to retire to your room, and you had barely stood up from your chair before he had crossed the dining room and swept you off your feet, nearly knocking poor Victor's glass out of his hand. You could hear Lupin yelling after Impey about his uncouth behavior, but he simply ignored him and tossed a "goodnight" over his shoulder before you were both out of the room.

Needless to say, he was eager.

"Impey, you almost slid right into that wall! Slow down!" You tried to scold him, but the grin on your face told him that you weren't too serious.

"No can do! My moonbeam said they were tired, so I need to get them in bed as soon as possible!" He only paused long enough to open the door to your room before he was moving again, seemingly reaching your bed in one hop from the doorway.

You felt him gently place you on the side of the bed. You blinked, watching him kneel in front of you for a moment, then let out a squeak when he suddenly took your leg in his hand. "W-What are you doing?"

"Spoiling you. This is our first time, I have to make it special." He grinned, taking your shoes off and moving them out of the way. "You deserve nothing less."

You let out a breath of embarrassment. You'd think you'd be used to his innuendos by now, but they still flustered you now and again. "Bite me."

"Well, if you insist." He practically sang as he finished with your socks, jumping up and kicking his own shoes off before plopping down next to you.

The air suddenly felt tense. You two were physically affectionate with each other, but it was never anything too bold or deeply intimate beyond a simple kiss. You two were usually in semi-public places together; there wasn't much privacy to be had.

Now, there was nothing in your way.

And you weren't sure what to do next.

You cleared your throat, breaking the silence. "So... we should get some rest. We have a full day tomorrow." You started, looking down at your hands in your lap. Normally you couldn't stop staring at his golden eyes, but right now you were having trouble finding them. Or rather, you were almost afraid to.

You knew Impey wouldn't do anything you weren't comfortable with. Passion may pump through the man's veins, but he genuinely cared about how you felt, and he did countless things to show that to you. You weren't afraid of him.

You were just unsure of how this night might change you.

You loved him. You had realized it a long time ago, and had been meaning to tell him for just as long, but it never felt like the right time. Sure, he had said the words to you before, but it was in a casual sense and didn't really have any weight behind it. It wasn't really anything said seriously.

Maybe tonight was the night to change that.

You realized you hadn't gotten a response from him and turned to look at him. "Impey? Did you hear--"

Your breath caught in your throat when you saw how he was looking at you.

You knew he was a gentle man when it came to you, both emotionally and physically, but you were still completely blindsided by the sheer tenderness in his eyes as they stared back at you. For once, he wasn't showering you in compliments or pet names. Instead, he was simply taking you in like he was seeing you for the first time.

You were too enchanted to feel embarrassment in this moment.

But you did have to tell your lungs to breathe.

"Impey..?"

Slowly, he let a soft smile grow on his face. "Sorry. I just still can't believe my luck... I've spent so much time wanting to go to the moon, I've been working so hard to get there. But lately it's been harder to keep working on going up there, knowing I've got stardust waiting for me down here."

He reached over and took your hands in his, rubbing his thumbs over your knuckles.

"You always take such good care of me. You make sure I take breaks when I need to, and make sure I eat and don't push myself harder than I need to. Everyone else thinks I'm crazy to have a dream like that, but you never made fun of me or doubted I could do it. You keep encouraging me to try when a plan doesn't work. You won't even give me a chance to consider giving up, you're so supportive."

He chuckled almost nervously.

"I guess what I'm trying to say is--"

"I love you."

He blinked. He hadn't expected you to interrupt him, and apparently, you didn't either, because you looked just as surprised as he was. Your eyes were wide and your cheeks were turning pink. You coughed, shrinking a little.

"That's what you were going to say... Right?"

He blinked again before breaking out into a laugh, wrapping his arms around your shoulders. "Yeah." He tugged you both down to lay down on the comforter, nuzzling his face into your hair. "Yeah, it was."

Now you were embarrassed.

"I'm going to sleep."

"Oh, come on! You can't do that now! This is a big moment, how am I supposed to fall asleep now?!" His arms moved to your waist and dragged you up, your back pressing against his firm chest as he spooned you.

You let out another giggle. "Sounds like a real problem. How unfortunate for you."

"Oh, I'll show you a problem." He leaned over and started showering whatever skin he could reach in kisses. Cheeks, forehead, ears, neck, nothing was safe. You squealed and squirmed under him, trying to push him off halfheartedly.

Wherever the night led you, you knew you'd enjoy getting there with him.

Code Realize ~ Future Blessings #1

The last story I finished was that of the St. Germaine route, so the first scene I saw in Future Blessings was of St. Germaine soaked in blood, gasping for breath, expressing so much pain and sorrow in his words.

Then, I hear another voice--calm and collected--speaking to him. The details of their conversation leads me to wonder when this is happening--how long after the events of the first game does this exchange take place? Or does this occur before the first game? Is the calm, detached speaker another apostle? Friend or foe?

Quickly, I realize that this is a memory...

The flashback concludes and in a monologue St. Germaine recounts how he fell in love with Cardia; a cute scene where our heroes bicker lovingly follows, and we learn that they are headed for France.

Something in this particular route is absent in the others: the sense of adventure and exploration--the world is expanded far beyond just Steel London and time reaches back thousands of years into the past. St. Germaine takes Cardia abroad, to Paris, and as we see them venture outside of their familiar environment, we see their characters develop and become different versions of themselves. Saint-Germaine offers her these new experiences while Van, Victor and Impey seek only to shelter and spoil her. (At least at the end of the first game, this is what I thought! I haven’t played the other routes in Future Blessings yet!)

I love when the POV shifts so that we can see the world through St. Germaine's eyes, and we see everything that he is doing for Cardia and for himself, so that he can always be with her.

I love seeing him watch her. Each word he says is full of his love for her.

He says: "Her world grows larger...and she can shift her attention to the outside..."

Here he is thinking of how outgoing Cardia has become. She seeks connection with humans more readily than before and becomes fast friends with nearly everyone...

Yet this is also something he fears...and he cannot face the possibility that when Cardia sheds the shackles of her poison and steps into the world as a normal human being...she might leave him behind...

Code Realize ~Future Blessings~ Playthrough - After Story White Rose - side Fran -

Warning: Spoilers. Image heavy post.

Please read Fran’s route on the original Code Realize’s playthrough before procceeding.

Finally~! Sorry if this was a long wait, but I decided to summarize the entire route into a post rather than splitting it up since I wanted to do a shorter playthrough than my usual ones as I find myself getting too long-winded ^^; Nevertheless, I end up adding alot of thoughts and the route was still pretty long to write so there you have it~ Enjoy the Fran and Cardia moments below ^^

Before the story starts, there was some flashback to the earlier game in regards to what had happened. (I personally like how it was basically a monologue of Fran’s thoughts, especially the part where he explained that he initially wanted to help Cardia in order to get rid of his guilt, deluding himself that by doing so, he might be able to erase his sins.)

Now, onto the future after the main game!

Fran and Cardia were still staying together at the huge mansion that Saint had left in their care. Fran had his day job as the royal alchemist at the palace, and the scene started with Cardia reminding Fran not to forget anything before he left for work. (Apparently, Fran was a little clumsy to have forgotten his stethoscope the day before, had his shoes worn on the opposite feet the week before, and had even accidentally brought Sisi to work XD)

(Fran’s explanation sounds like he didn’t have a good night sleep due to something Cardia did the night before... >////<)

Cardia noticed that Fran had a cowlick poking up on his head and was about to touch his hair to flatten when she realised what she was about to do and immediately stepped back. She isn’t wearing her gloves now, and she had been taking medicine to control her condition, but she was still afraid of her accidentally harming Fran. 

Fran took her hand and put it on his cheeks, assuring her that it’s fine and she did not need to be afraid. There’s no scent of melting, rotten flesh, and instead, she felt the warmth of her lover. It felt that only a little time had passed since Cardia had managed to touch things, so Fran tried to help her to feel comfortable about her sense of touch, which Cardia really appreciated.

Fran encouraged her not to rush, and that she’s just a regular girl now. (He even calls her his princess, awww~ >/////< When did Fran become such a sweet-talker~)

But, it’s not the time to endless indulge in touching each other’s cheeks now since Fran was going to be late. Cardia rushed Fran off to work, though she knew that she would have kept holding onto him if he didn’t have to work. Just as she lingered for Fran (when he just left ^^;), Fran came back again, claiming that he had forgotten something.

(Yep, this was what he had forgotten - to tell Cardia that he loves her, aww~ ^///^ Too bad he didn’t manage to stay for her answer.)

The story then went onto explain what other stuff had happened after the main game. Victoria had changed herself and now planned to aim for peace with progression and development for the country. Fran had rejoined the Royal Society once again as an alchemist.

In the day when Fran was working, Cardia would be cleaning and tidying up the mansion, the place where it held many memories of her and her friends. Now, only Fran, Sisi and she were the ones remaining in the mansion, with Saint, the original owner, signing the property over to them, and departed for France. (Wow, Saint just gave them a free house just like that... OWO) Cardia had decided that she shall take care and keep the mansion in top condition so that when her friends returned, the mansion would be just like how they’ve remembered it. 

(In case anyone was interested, Lupin and Impey were still travelling together, seeking of something of great import, whereas Van and Dora-chan were working together to protect the remaining surviving vampires.)

Remembering about her friends and realising the Fran wasn’t around in the house either made Cardia felt quite lonely, but Sisi nestled close to her feet to remind her that he’s still there. (So cute~) Suddenly, Sisi noticed something and ran off, thus Cardia chased after him to the dining room, and realised that there was a parcel on the floor... which was actually Fran’s lunchbox (Why is it lying there on the floor o.O?) Realising that this was perhaps an excuse for her to see Fran, Cardia decided to send the lunch box to him and set off with Sisi.

However, Fran wasn’t at his workplace when Cardia reached there, as he was attending a meeting at the palace with the Queen instead. Cardia could have left Fran’s lunchbox there actually, but she decided to head all the way to the palace instead. (Cardia must really want to see Fran badly XD) The guards were there when she arrived, and since she can’t just go through them, Cardia wondered whether she should just stay and wait until the meeting is over. 

A voice called out to her just then, and to her surprise, it’s Van~! (Van’s face when he realised that Cardia had come all the way to the palace just to give Fran his lunch~ XD)

Van decided to lend Cardia a hand in getting her into the palace by following him. Turned out that Van was here as a bodyguard for Dora-chan and this other person called Marquis Renfield, who was a supporter in Dora-chan’s aim to establish a vampire-governed zone, and their seminar for today was the one that Fran was attending. 

When Cardia spotted Fran, he was apologising to Dora-chan, revealing to him that he was the one had droved his vampire clan almost to extinction, since the poisonous Zicterium gas used to kill the vampires was ultimately invented by him. Though Fran knew that no apologies would be enough for him to atone his sins, he wanted to find someone who had survived, which in this case, Dora-chan, and attempt an apology. 

Dora-chan calmly told Fran that if he had not told him what he had done, Dora-chan himself would have never known about his sins, and thus not even have to apologise for it. But that won’t do for Fran since the guilt pained him every time they shared a conversation, and he knew that if he had continued on keeping this a secret, he would never be able to share a genuine moment with him. Dora-chan simply smiled and said that he knew what kind of a person Fran was and knew that he won’t be someone who would create a murder weapon of his own wish. He told Fran to stop taking responsibility for his creation and asked him to stop hating his own self because of that. (Now that Dora-chan had forgiven him and asked him to forgive himself, it seems that everything was much better now~ ^^)

When Van and Cardia approached them, Dora-chan blushed when he realised that they were eavesdropping on them, and also because Van had praised him that he was like his father XD Cardia told Fran that she was happy for him, now that he had finally dealt a thing that had been plaguing him for a long time.

Fran was curious why Cardia was here though, thus Cardia showed him the lunch he had forgotten to bring along with him. Dora-chan got curious and peeked into the basket Cardia had brought, then started asking whether this was a lunch packed with love and adoration, which made Fran started to blush furiously XD

(Cardia, you are not helping the situation by admitting to it XD)

Too bad that Fran had yet another talk after lunch, and thus wasn’t able to take the time to walk Cardia back to the mansion. Cardia decided to head home back herself, bidding goodbye to Van and Dora-chan, who promised that they would call on them when they passed by London again.

Before Cardia could leave though, she met Leonhardt, who told her that the Queen would like to see her. Even though Cardia was worried, Fran assured her with a smile that it would be alright. 

Queen Victoria smiled when she saw Cardia, explaining that she just wanted to have a chat with her and was even alright with Cardia calling her by her name. There had been major changes since the last time they had met, with Victoria reducing the military pressure on neighbouring European countries, and shifting towards a policy of peace. Victoria revealed that she had personally walked down the ruined street of the Lower Town of London, and saw it for herself how her actions had caused grief and misery to that part of the city. But she realised the people living there had not given up, continuing to rebuild their home, and found ways to survive and move forward. It was then she knew that the Britains themselves and Great Britain was not weak. 

(The Queen smiles here which I found it a beautiful sight <3)

Victoria decided that she shall now oversee the country’s progress rather than acting as a direct protector, claiming that she shall lay down the groundworks for future Britain. In fact, she had been so busy recently that she doesn’t even have the time to complain, which Cardia offered to listen to her whenever she’s free or even both of enjoying a teatime together.

Suddenly, Victoria motioned to Cardia to get closer, and wanted to know how things were proceeding with Cardia and Fran. Cardia smiled and answered Fran was always being very kind to her, even telling her that he loves her every day, (Aww, Fran does dotes on Cardia very much >////<) The Queen was glad to hear that and mentioned that it’s lovely to find someone that she can share her innermost self with, even remarking that she wanted to give marriage a try.

 (Poor Leonhardt did not take to this well though XD)

Victoria assured Leonhardt it would still be in the distant future that she will get married since stabilizing the country was her priority now. Even Cardia noticed that Leonhardt’s smile when he’s relieved seems more personal... (Hmm~? O////O) Cardia was glad to have the chance to share a pleasant afternoon chat with the Queen nevertheless.

As she walked home with Sisi though, she saw an elderly couple and wondered whether she and Fran would be like that someday, perfectly serene. She tried to imagine that, but couldn’t in the end...

When they were having a late teatime together after Fran came back from work, he noticed that Cardia seems abit distracted, and wondered whether she’s feeling unwell. 

(Cardia being unwell could be a good excuse to visit Fran, now that he had said that XD)

(It’s so adorable how Fran just straight up gave Cardia a peck on the cheeks with this confession~ >////< Guess what Cardia had said about Fran telling her that he loves her every day was true after all~)

However, their lovey-dovey time was soon stopped by a guest, who was none other than Saint, after coming back from France for some “business”. Saint was serious as he met them, telling them that there’s someone he wanted them to meet, or say, confront. And thus, three of them set off into the night and ended up on tower bridge.

Fran soon realised that something was amiss when he got on the bridge, remarking that it was weirdly quiet around here when usually there should still be traffic around here at this time.

The first person to appear before them was... someone in armour which Cardia remarked that she had seen before. A voice came from within the armour, explaining that they had been observing her ever since she had come in contact with Saint. An old woman in a wheelchair soon appeared next, and noticing Fran’s and Cardia’s confused faces, guessed that Saint had not told them anything at all. 

The old woman introduced herself as Omnibus, and that she governed an organisation known as Idea, where others had referred to them as “agents of destiny” or “guides of history”. Their mission was to ensure that history unfolds justly and to coax humanity away from grievous error. Turned out that Saint was a member of the organisation, an apostle as well as the woman in armour - Guinevere. 

Fran questioned their motive for meeting them here, to which Omnibus replied that she’s here to give them a warning, as well as offering a proposal for Fran. Apparently, Idea was impressed by Fran’s intelligence but was worried that he might cross into the realm of taboo like Isaac in creating what that was not supposed to, which was Cardia. They wished that Fran would consider things carefully before creating something, which Fran promised that he would take responsibility for what he had created, considering how he knew that the Zicterium he had created had caused countless of death. 

But the warning was just the beginning of what Idea had wanted to talk to Fran about. Their main aim was regarding Cardia, as even though her Horologium was currently rendered to be completely inert, there was still a possibility that it would awake someday, and that the dangerous poison would come back again. Fran was angry as he countered that this was impossible since he had used different methods available to check that the Horologium was stable, and thus the possibility of it reactivating was zero. 

However, what Idea was worried was not the Horologium reactivating in recent years, but instead, hundreds and hundreds of years later, since Cardia was still considered inhuman even if her body was not poisonous anymore, and might have a longer lifespan than one had thought of. 

(All this talk about Cardia was torture to herself, I feel bad for her D:)

And thus, since Idea was greatly fond of Fran’s talents, they wanted to offer him to become a member of the organisation, an apostle just like what Saint had become. 

Fran was shocked and wondered if this was an order, to which Idea informed him that if Fran was to choose to join them, he would be granted immortality, and he would get eternal life with Cardia this way. Obviously, this offer was very attractive to Fran, but Saint quickly stepped in and asked Omnibus to warn him about the consequences if he were to choose to become an apostle. 

In exchange for Fran’s immortality, he would have to dedicate his entire existence to Idea and carried out their orders, which was usually to kill others to remove their humanity to bring peace and prevent disasters from happening. Fran now had two choices, to accept Idea’s offer and be able to spend eternity with Cardia or to keep on living as a human and die one day, leaving Cardia alone in the world. Fran was suspicious about Idea’s purging of whoever that might bring harm to the world, since if Cardia was deemed as someone harmful, she was also considered a target by them as well. Initially, Saint was ordered to remove Cardia’s existence but Saint had pleaded with them to spare Cardia’s life, and now that Fran had managed to suppress Cardia’ poison, they decided to let her continue with her life for now. But if the Horologium was to create poison again in the future, Idea would spare no mercy in killing her. (Damn, Idea just seems really bent on on “purging” Cardia this entire conversation actually, and they kept calling her the cursed daughter D:)

Fran asked for time to think about the offer and was ultimately given three days to make his decision. When Omnibus and Guinevere were gone, Saint apologised as he had wanted to help to shield them from Idea, so that they can continue to live happily and peacefully together. Turned out that rather than going to France which he claimed to, Saint had actually gone to plead with Omnibus all these while, asking for Idea not interfere with their lives. Cardia was glad that Saint had helped them to ask for this chance though, as both Fran and Cardia knew that they would have to face with this problem regarding Cardia’s immortality eventually.

(Yes, these two had gotten so strong after what had happened in the first game T////T)

The two returned back to the mansion, but Cardia found herself unable to sleep, thinking that even though the poison was gone from her, she only looked like a normal girl and was ultimately still....a monster. Fran joined her at the garden, later on, remarking that he was unable to sleep too, and looking at his smile, Cardia wondered why can he still smile at a time like this.

Fran admitted that he was worried, but he touched Cardia’s cheeks as always, assuring her that everything would be alright, but rather than worrying alone, he decided to stay by Cardia’s side instead. Cardia knew that Fran must be feeling more worried than her, but he was still so caring and warm towards her, which broke her mental defence and poured out to him that she was very frustrated and scared regarding this entire thing. She’s scared that she would end up destroying Fran’s future, her poison might come back someday and also losing Fran. Cardia realised that she had become weaker since, in the past, she was alright in spending nights alone by herself and being called a monster, but now... she could hardly bear the thought of landing herself in such a situation again. 

Fran was serious as he assured her once again that everything will be fine, and that he would never ever let her be turned back into a monster, even after hundreds and thousands of years. But in midst of his words, Cardia could sense a little amount of uncertainty in his voice, but all she could do was to break into a sob in his arms, knowing that Fran had never even mentioned what would happen to him at all. As Fran comforted her and got her back to bed, Cardia wondered what Fran was thinking about actually, and what will he decided on in answering Omnibus... Fran could only tell Cardia that he was still thinking about it, promising her that when he came to a decision, he would inform her first before anyone else. 

(I do like Fran’s determination here though, even though he had absolutely no idea what he should do at this point in time...)

The story continues on in Fran’s point of view. Two days had passed since Idea had offered the proposal to Fran, but what he had done till now was just comforting Cardia, and that was all he could do. Fran wondered what he was supposed to do, anxious to come to a conclusion before tomorrow evening. But he knew that there would be regrets regardless of whichever path he chose.

Just then, Saint appeared before him, noticing that Fran seems tired and sympathize his circumstances. Saint was considered a friend yet an enemy to Fran, since he had been acting secretly on behalf of Idea when he was with them, with orders to eliminate the Horologium, yet he did not. He told Saint that it was difficult to understand Idea’s prerogatives and he could not even forgive Omnibus for calling Cardia a “cursed” being. But, Fran was the most frustrated with himself, knowing that after all his efforts, he was still unable to mend Cardia. Saint encouraged Fran that he had actually done alot for her, by suppressing her poison, and teaching her about human warmth and learning to love others. 

Fran had initially thought that as long as he could suppress Cardia’s poison, they would be able to move on with their lives happily, but they indeed have to think about Cardia’s lifespan. Though it might be like an average person’s lifespan, there was also a possibility of her living on for hundreds and thousands of years just like what Omnibus had deduced. But regardless the length, Fran was firm in his goal in never letting Cardia becoming a monster, and will do anything in order to make her happy. 

He was about to come to a decision to join the Idea with Saint when the latter asked him whether Cardia was just a justification for him to reach a decision. Saint said that Cardia was a gentle and kind-hearted girl, which Fran should know better than others and wondered whether Fran was willing to spend an eternity bound to killing others for the sake of their future, and asked Fran whether doing that will make Cardia truly happy.

Fran was at a lost and claimed loudly what on earth should he do. Though Fran will make sure that everything will be fine as long as the two of them are together, he worried about what will happen when he dies, thinking about how Cardia will be left alone forever and ever without him, living in terror and wondering when her poison was going to come back and turn her back into a monster... Therefore, in order to prevent that from happening, Fran saw it as a must that he had to continue living, in order to make Cardia happy.

But Saint’s words soon brought Fran back to reality. What he had said was his own vision of happiness, as Fran had no idea whether what he had thought of was Cardia’s happiness. If Fran were to pass away in the future, Saint would offer to watch over Cardia as part of his job of surveilling, but honestly, Saint wondered what would Cardia’s idea of happiness be with Fran. 

Even though Saint had tried to sound calm when he talked, Fran noticed a tint of anger in his voice. Saint warned Fran that eternity was far too long to be spent alone, making Fran wondered how long did Saint had lived, or how many missions he had done for Idea. Saint remarked that how he would be seeing them passing away one by one in the future, and when that time arrives, he would occasionally remember the days that they’ve spent happily together, and continue to live on with that. That would be the pain that Fran would have to bear if he chooses to go on this path, and Saint continued on that perhaps it was a blessing that he himself does not know of love, and thus he won’t have to bear this type of pain. (I feel abit bad for Saint when he said he doesn’t know love though TWT) Saint’s wish was that both Fran and Cardia would be able to remain as they are, and said that though a human’s life may be short when compared to the apostles of Idea, it would still be longer than what Fran had thought to be, claiming that the decades Fran had ahead of him would be enough for him to struggle through.

Thanks to Saint’s insight, Fran’s troubles seem to have cleared as he thanked him for his help. To that, Saint simply smiled and disappeared. Fran knew that Saint initially have no intention on talking about himself or his past, but he decided to, in the end, seeing that he trusted Fran enough, and had viewed him as a friend. The two paths Fran had in front of him, he decided that it was all too early for him to choose either path yet. 

Back on Cardia’s side, everything was as per normal, though she realised that she wasn’t feeling hungry and came to a revelation once again that she’s inhuman as she doesn’t need to eat to survive. She worried about herself becoming a monster once Fran was gone, though she knew that Fran swore that he would never let her become a monster and promised that she would never be alone too again. She wondered how Fran was going to carry out these promises, and knowing that she would be robbing Fran of a natural future, she’s not happy about it. Cardia could not bear the thought of sweet and kind Fran becoming an apostle and killing people an eternity. 

In the end, Cardia decided to go on a walk with Sisi to clear her head, and along the way, she noticed many royal guards and met up with Leonhardt, who explained that the Queen will be at the Royal Society today. Seems like Victoria likes to roam the city more nowadays since she felt that going out will aid her to gain more wisdom rather than staying cooped up in the palace.

Suddenly, Leonhardt apologised to her, especially for his actions against them as the Zicterium facility where they had confronted the Queen. Cardia forgave him, saying that they have very opposing beliefs at that time, but Leonhardt still felt bad about pulling his blade against her and hoped that she will accept his apology... as well as gratitude, since Cardia and Fran had helped prevent the Queen and Leonhardt himself from making a drastic mistake, smiling as he claimed that their actions had helped in creating the future of Britain.

Leonhardt’s smile as he showed his confidence in the future made Cardia turned away as she found herself unable to face him, muttering that she found him amazing to be so positive about the future without any proof, and had, in fact, felt jealous about it. I really like Leonhardt’s answer towards Cardia so I’ll just let him say it below:

Leonhardt’s words reminded Cardia of the times when Fran had strived to save her life, even at the cost of his own life, and that because she had trusted and believed in him, they were all able to live today. Cardia decided that she shall be the one to help Fran and told him what he had told her before when he was suffering alone now, rather than relying on him to comfort her. And off she went to find Fran immediately, with Leonhardt chasing after her to stop her as Fran and the Queen were still in the middle of an important conference.

At that moment, Fran and Queen were discussing in the conference, which Victoria felt reassured that things would be able to proceed even more smoothly now that Fran had come back to the Royal Society. She noticed that he lacked confidence, and wondered what were his troubles about. 

However, before Fran could reply, Cardia rushed into the room and ended pushing Fran to the floor, asking him what was he going to do about Idea. Since Fran had said before that Cardia could find him at work, Cardia decided to do that since she can’t wait even a moment longer to hear Fran’s answer. Cardia revealed her wish to Fran -  she didn’t want him to join Idea and kill people just to secure her future, even if she does want a future together with him.

(Awww~ I just love this point of view from Cardia <3 Even Fran’s glasses got knocked off by the impact XD)

It was then Fran realised that his thoughts were different on what Cardia had wanted for her happiness since he had wanted to become an apostle at Idea if that was what it takes to prevent Cardia from weeping in agony and desperate for him when he wasn’t around anymore. In the end, if the future isn’t one that they would smile together, Fran guessed that it isn’t even one that they should consider. Cardia told Fran that she wanted to be the one to help Fran this time, by helping him to find the answer if he had yet to make up his mind, by finding a third path if either of those options will make either of them miserable.

(I know this was a joke by Fran, but erm... it would be scary if it’s true~)

(Confession time again~! >/////<)

Fran got up and complimented that Cardia was indeed a strong yet kind-hearted girl, and that was why he loves her, as he embraced her. He revealed that he just wanted to have a normal life with her, and doesn’t really care about maintaining the order in world history, and had made his final decision, which Cardia doesn’t have to worry about. 

Victoria interrupted them at this moment since she found it boring to be on the sidelines, though she’s glad to have witnessed this interesting scenario of Cardia pushing Fran to the floor. 

(Haha, Victoria’s teasing ended up making Fran blushed XD)

However, since Queen Victoria had heard about them talking about Idea, she was interested and wanted to know more about it, especially since she heard that they were involved in maintaining world history, though she also offered them help if they required it against Idea. Fran decided to reveal what they had learned about Idea (with some omissions though), and while they were grateful for Victoria’s offer to help them, they decided to face this problem by themselves, making a promise to report to her when this fiesta was over. 

It’s finally the night that Fran had to give his answer to Omnibus, though until the last hours, they've yet to prepare their best response. Fran had an idea though and asked Cardia to trust him, even though what he was proposing was going to be abit of a gamble. 

Saint met up with them later on and brought them to the same bridge again. Fran was worried about what will happen to Saint since his actions already proved to Idea that he’s biased to them, which Saint replied that he would be fine since he would have been eliminated long ago if it had been that bad. Saint wondered what was the odds of winning in Fran’s “gamble”, which Fran answered he had no idea, but he isn’t going to give up on this possibility. 

Sensing that Cardia seems nervous and afraid, Fran could only hold onto her hand, but that was already more reassuring that any words in Cardia’s heart ^////^

Omnibus and Guinevere soon appeared, asking for the decision to be made. Cardia could sense that the atmosphere had changed, with Fran motioning her to stand behind him while glaring at Omnibus, and even Saint’s intent to kill was exuding even though he had yet to draw his blade. 

Fran told Omnibus that the offer of being grant immortality was very appealing, and Omnibus urged him to accept it, even offering to grant him a wish of staying alongside with Cardia if he chooses to join Idea. But, even though Fran wishes to stay with Cardia and live with her, what he meant was the opposite of what Omnibus had expected. He had decided not to join Idea and just wanted to live his life with her since Cardia doesn’t wish for Fran to take the lives of others for the sake of their future together. The options for Fran were to either cease his humanity to gain an eternity with Cardia, or to erase Cardia’s existence since Idea still sees her as a threat, but both options were not what Fran had wanted, and thus he’s going to aim for another future that they had wished for.

Omnibus warned Fran again about Cardia having the possibility of reverting to a monster, which Fran promised that it would not happen as long as he was still living, swearing to protect her at all costs. Since the offer was being rejected, Idea might have to attack Fran and Cardia, but Saint warned Guinevere from getting any closer, as Fran had yet to make his offer to Omnibus.

Since Omnibus had praised Fran of his talents, Fran wondered perhaps he would be able to fully understand the Horologium within his lifespan, as he had already been able to suppress the Horologium’s production of poison completely within a year. Thus, he pleaded for Omnibus to give him time, until his death to fully analyze Horologium, though it was not to completely removing the poison from Cardia but instead ensuring that her lifespan would be similar of a human, with Cardia agreeing on shortening her lifespan voluntarily. This was after the discussion Cardia had with Fran - rather than him sacrificing his humanity to be with her, she wanted to be changed into a complete human being instead. If Fran had failed in his research to shorten Cardia’s lifespan, she asked for Idea to come and take her life away when Fran had passed away. Fran had made this proposal as a test for himself so that he could test his own potential in alchemy. He vowed to search for a way to make Cardia a human so that she will never become a monster again. 

However, Omnibus remarked that she could not see such a future working out for them, and the proposal does not guarantee peace for the world, and thus she could not accept it. With that said, Idea still viewed Cardia as a target and decided to eliminate her...

Omnibus even asked for Cardia to give up her life for the sake of peace, but Cardia just wanted to live with Fran and rejected her order. (Seriously who would actually do that =w=“)

Idea started to summon other apostles to fight against Saint, Fran and Cardia, up to eight of them which surprised Saint since he had never seen an incident which requires that many Apostles. (But that’s just how serious Idea had viewed this situation D:)

Though they were outnumbered, Saint isn’t willing to bow down without a fight, and even Cardia offered to help too, though she won’t be able to use her poison as an advantage anymore. However, suddenly there was the sound of gunshots in the air, and guess who’s here to save the day?!

Yep, it’s the rest of the gang! Saint revealed that he had actually called for them beforehand and brought them here so that they could come and give Fran and Cardia a hand when the situation calls for it. Cardia felt relieved and reassured since the appearance of her friends made the atmosphere much lighter.

(Saint was indeed in a difficult position, but I admire his courage to create a different path for his friends, even if it meant defying Idea’s orders though he isn’t planning on betraying them.)

Lupin’s gang doesn’t really believe much in helping the world in getting on the right path, all they cared now was to grant Cardia’s and Fran’s happiness since the two of them had worked so hard trying to attain them.

(I can’t help to fangirl abit over Lupin here. That was so cool coming from him! >////<)

Omnibus turned to Cardia, telling her that she foresees her future to be a path full of endless suffering, but asked even if that was the case, would she wish the happiness of being a human to herself. Of course, Cardia wanted that, saying that she will be happy, as long as she was with Fran, and she believed that Fran would do what he had promised. 

(I just love this part where Cardia tell the old lady off~ No one can decide on one’s future other than themselves! Sounds like Impey fell in love with Cardia all over again ^^;)

In the end, Omnibus decided to give up and gave Fran and Cardia a chance in paving for the future they wanted for, telling them that they shall put their current plan on hold and see how things will turn out. Cardia was glad that Idea had decided to give them a chance and believing in them.

(After pretty much being cold to Cardia the entire story, the old lady finally called her by her name and even smiled... Whew!)

As Idea left, the sun shined and it was another brand new day. Seems like they were saved (for now), and now Cardia and Fran can be together forever~ ^////^ The rest of the group pounced onto them, hugging and congratulating them. (Awww~) Cardia was thankful for the group showing up since, without them, the results of Fran’s proposal might end up differently.

After some sweet talk between the couple, they kissed in front of their friends, with Van automatically covering Dora-chan’s eyes so he didn’t get to see them. (I guess this was still too early for Dora-chan XD) (And poor Impey feeling his jealousy fuming when he saw Fran kissing Cardia XD)

A week later, things were back to normal, with the rest of the group soon left to fulfil their life goals, and Cardia doing her housework at home with Sisi, waiting for Fran to return every day. 

Fran had reported to Queen Victoria about Idea as promised, and she was relieved to see both of them were safe and sound after the confrontation. Fran requested for an assistant to help him with the lab work since now he had yet another task (analyzing the Horologium) other than his daily duties as an alchemist. The Queen smiled and agreed, asking for the “new” assistant to make an appearance, and that person was none other than Cardia~! That really surprised Fran as Victoria explained that it was actually Cardia who had suggested it since she wanted to be of use to Fran, and... since Fran’s research would revolve around the Horologium now, she felt she should be around, though the real reason was because she wanted to be close to Fran too XD Fran thanked them while Victoria replied that she’s glad that her subjects had found happiness. Cardia wanted Victoria to find her own happiness as well, and her words took Victoria by surprise that she guessed that she shall search for her own happiness when things were more settled.

(I feel that Victoria was hinting something at Leonhardt here, but too bad the guy didn’t get it =w=“)

Fran and Cardia left the palace together after that, with Fran still feeling surprised as he had never dreamt that they would be able to work together, with Cardia being his assistant. Cardia felt that she still lacks in knowledge, but she was determined to study more to help Fran as much as possible, and Fran smiled as he told her that she will be a great assistant.

With Fran leading the way, they ended up in front of a church. (It’s a beautiful church~) Fran told Cardia that he had something he wanted to tell her today, and taught her that a church is a place for taking vows of love. He wanted to swear an oath of love to her and vowed that they shall live their lives as a couple and find happiness together. 

(I love Fran’s words here, regardless of what had happened in the past, we should always try to accept it and move on...)

(Cardia’s smile here is so adorable, I’m so glad that she found her own happiness here finally in the end ~ T/////T)

In the end, they exchanged vows as a couple and kisses at the church, with Fran promising Cardia that he shall love her with his all, forever and ever. The end~

Final Thoughts / Ramblings:

I’m so happy and touched to finish this route on the fan disc, so glad that everything turns out to be alright in the end T////T A part of me still wanted some more lovey-dovey moments though since most of the route was like bitter and sad moments D: I love Fran even more after this, he’s not a strong character, but he really works hard and tried his very best to give Cardia happiness the most he can. Most of the time I’m already touched by Fran’s feelings and motivation, rather than what he had actually done, guess it’s the thoughts that count? Fran is seriously like an angel, how can a guy be so kind seriously~ T/////T

PS: Felt that Saint was such a great pal to be, seriously without him, there may not be a happy ending for Fran and Cardia, so thank you so much, Saint~

Lupin

He's kind of off put by your lack of lady-ness at first

But! He really loves how the piercings and tattoos look on you

It took him a moment to understand that you are not a 'lady', and you don't want to be one

Nonetheless, he's still a gentleman, and you will always be his lady no matter what

If he steals a precious gem or something that has no distinguishable owner, he may occasionally take it to a smith to get a tiny piece of it made into a piercing for you!

He traces your tattoos with his fingers often, completely enamoured by them on occasion

If you're lucky, you may be able to convince him to get a piercing... but only once! And probably an ear piercing.

That being said, he's a gentleman, and it would be 'ungentlemanly' of him to do so (no matter how cool he think he would look with one and how much he wants to match you in some way)

Also, literally the funniest prank you could pull on him is pretending you tattooed him or gave him a piercing in his sleep

Bonus points if it's in an embarressing spot or completely out in the open

Impey

He's never seen someone with piercings or tattoos in person before!!

He loves them!!! So much!!!

It's a hell of a lot easier to convince Impey to get a piercing then Lupin, and Impey even wants to get a tattoo now that he's seen how cool you look with them!

If you don't, he'll cry

Not actually cry, but that fake cry he does when he's made fun of or left out of potentially romantic situations

He loves getting you new piercings to wear as well! Absolutely loves seeing you in something he picked out

Viktor

Viktor doesn't seem to really care either way about how you look

But he does wanna take a look at your tattoos! At least once

Yeahhh don't tell anyone, but he actually is kinda really turned on by your piercings and tats

He can't help but steal glances at your tattoos and blush

The man is soft, but that doesn't mean he doesn't like bad girls ;)

Personally he wouldn't get anything to match you in any way, nor would he get you any jewelry.... buuuut, he does want to come with you when you get a new tattoo and he does want to help pick out a design!

Van Helsing

Seeing all of your tats and piercings earns you a smile and a "nice" from Van Helsing

He also wouldn't mind getting a tattoo with you, also less of a 'romantic matching' and more of a 'indirect matching' sort of thing

Like if you saw that tattoo on it's own, you'd think "yeah thats cool" but then you see both of your tats together and you're like "yeah, that's cool"

He may or may not have already gotten a tattoo... or two...

The Count is quite taken with your piercings, and loves the way they adorn you

He thinks you make the piercings more beatiful, and in turn they share their beauty with you as well

In Future Blessings, instead of giving you an emerald ring, he may give you an emerald piercing instead

He loves to spoil you with new jewelry, of all kinds

He doesn't care much for your tattoos though

He doesn't think they're very ladylike, but he also recognizes that they are apart of you and make you who you are, and so he in turn still loves them as he loves you

Saint Germain himself has a piercing in the canon- it's on his right ear. If you would like, he could take you somewhere to get a matching piercing? If you don't have that same piercing already that is!
