Rewatching episode 1x07 in light of recent events makes Alicent and Aemond's interactions with Aegon even more frustrating to watch. The writers seem intent on portraying him as clueless and dumb, despite in season 1 there is evidence to the contrary.
You have Aemond being harshly questioned by Viserys who at some point menacingly asks him who told him about Rhaenyra's children being bastards.
Aemond knows that he can't just throw Alicent under the bus because at least he and his brother are still the king's kin, so he knows nothing will happen to them (which isn't a guarantee for Alicent despite being the king's wife) regardless so he blames Aegon.
Now Aegon, who is FAR from stupid, immediately picks up what his brother might be actually doing without knowing the context (and let's remember, the two don't have a good relationship at this point and he could simply deny thinking Aemond is trying to put him in trouble to settle a score) and immediately plays along, even deflecting the argument to how there is no need to have a planted rumour because it's plain to see.
Throughout season 1, Aegon repeatedly demonstrates a greater awareness than other characters give him credit for. In the carriage scene he keeps acting skeptical to the news Viserys wanted him as heir, but Alicent as usual shuts him down even calling him stupid for doubting her love for him. Well, considering how things are going in season 2 he wasn't really wrong about that either, was he?
Season 1 Aegon would have immediately pointed out Alicent's hypocrisy for trying to diminish him in comparison to his father simply because contrarily to expectations he is not willing to be a mindless puppet like Viserys was. Aegon has already picked up on Otto and Alicent's real expectations of him. Why would he ask Alicent if she loves him? Because he genuinely doubt that especially now that he is being dragged to wear a crown out of nowhere. Friendly reminder that not being trained and literate doesn't automatically equate to being stupid.
Additionally, portraying episode 2 as Otto's grand triumph is just completely wrong. Otto, who has been manipulating everyone like pieces on a chessboard, finally gets booted off by the person he least expected it from. This comes after he shows no respect for his son's death, shamelessly declaring that he will parade his body for the sake of their image as the silent sisters were still sewing his head to his body. But of course, god forbid we don't immediately dumb down everything Aegon does, or the audience might start thinking he could actually be a fair competitor for the designated hero of the show.

Batman and mischaracterization
It drives me nuts how inconsistent the comics are when portraying a character because essentially all comics are fanfiction created by artists that got hired by the company. So you got a fan who got the concept of Bruce Wayne as a character completely wrong and is writing bad fanfiction except it's canon and it's a mess.
Writers always seem to forget that Bruce Wayne isn't batman or his playboy persona, he's a weird middle of it. Bruce Wayne is a traumatized man who doesn't know how to properly convey his emotions and affection, a man who pours love from his broken cup into his children in hopes of mending his own past. Despite it all he is still a traumatized man, deeply mistrustful and wanting to take care of things himself in order to feel like he has some stability in his life. He isn't emotionless, he's a whole ass wreck but he hides it well, so much so it confuses himself. He hasn't processed properly the fact that his parents have died- he knows they're dead he just never allowed himself to grieve through it, not that it wouldn't have scarred him otherwise (he WAS pretty young) but it wouldn't have made him into a crime fighting vigilante by the night. And since he hasn't processed the fact it affects the way he acts, think and so on.
It's something difficult to portray and I understand that but by God does it make me go a little cocoo whenever Bruce Wayne is portrayed like a male alpha who punches and doesn't do emotions. Please give the man the depth he deserves, show that a man can be vulnerable yet strong, that someone can be scarred but loving in their own way, that despite it's flaws he's still a caring father who is trying his best. People don't just want to read a comic filled with fights they want to see character depth, something relatable, something complex, something human that speaks to you. Not what is essentially a caricature to what Batman is.

Kinda pissed how people keep saying Alastor is going to be the "final boss", just because he isnt in his "prime" like "before"
Look, the dude is kinda powerful, but there was a before. And if Lilith and Lucifer didnt do shit beforehand to stop him, it means that it wasnt that much of a deal. Heck, there's the implications that Vox is even more powerful than him, and we know Vox, who can be easily killed by Niffty.
I love Alastor, he is a manipulator and a troll, but he is NOT that powerful, not even without the leash. I can at most see him betraying Charlie and the hotel stuff, but kinda like a Vaggie 2.0. Remember that the real bosses are the Angels and Heaven's corrupted system.
Alastor is a plot device to help Charlie accomplish her goal. But that's about it

I've seen people criticize Akane's reply to Aqua in Chapter 52, but I think Akane actually said exactly what Aqua needed to hear.
Because she once again saw through Aqua.
Tumblr media
Akane promises Aqua that she will always be his ally. That no matter what happens, she will be by his side; that she will understand him.
This really touches Aqua, but he can't bring himself to believe her. After all, Aqua, cynical and self-deprecating as he is, doesn't think it's "easy" to find someone who will acknowledge you as you are and appreciate you for it.
Tumblr media
Of course, it doesn't help that he hides himself and his heart under multiple layers.
Tumblr media
Despite that, he does open up to Akane in this chapter. You wouldn't understand, not that I'm going to tell you anyway, he says, before proceeding to do just that (lol).
Tumblr media
He gives it his best shot, even turning his dark stare on her.
Tumblr media
He is testing her. Laying a trap so that when she naturally judges him for his less than noble intentions, he can convince himself that that moment of comfort she gave him was nothing but a mirage. Of course she wouldn't understand, no one can understand.
He is doing the same thing Ai did when she met Saitou, being honest with the goal of scaring Akane off.
Tumblr media
However, Aqua, who is always at odds with himself, is simultaneously also hoping Akane will prove him wrong, because he wants to believe her. He really does want to believe someone out there can understand him.
Tumblr media
And Akane sees through the trap into what Aqua truly wants, and tells him exactly what he needs to hear.
Tumblr media
She doesn't encourage him, neither does she tell him that he's wrong. She listens to him without judgement and tells him, in no uncertain terms, that she is willing to share that burden with him. Just like she told him she would.
And that kind of companionship and acceptance means the world to Aqua, who thinks so little of himself. It even chases the darkness from his eyes, turning the black star back into its usual white.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is all highlighted later. First in Chapter 65, where Goro reveals that finally finding someone who understands him is one of the reasons that makes Aqua start to believe he can be happy.
Tumblr media
And of course, in Chapter 97, where Aqua has a monologue about how Akane acknowledging him and accepting him as he is has saved him little by little.

GenZ!Yuu Brainrot!
Things that GenZ!Yuu would have most likely said in the situation presented in-game:
It was supposed to be a normal way back home, until GenZ!Yuu fell asleep and woke up inside a dark confined space.
"Not the weirdest thing that happens to me."
GenZ!Yuu heard a voice from outside, but he didn't seem to care.
"Next thing you know I'll be on fire-"
And that was exactly what happened. The thing covering his the confined space was blown off to pieces by a blue flame.
"Dabi???"
...
Getting chased by a talking cat? Sure, a talking bird man that looks like Hawk's and Dabi's love child? Okay, people with animalistic traits and weird personas? Okay, so we have furries and psychopaths nothing new, a talking mirror? Mirror mirror on the wall bitch.
Dark Mirror: State thy name. GenZ!Yuu: Ligma. Crowley: Your name's Ligma- GenZ!Yuu: Ligma balls!
...
GenZ!Yuu came from a generation that can cause something to happen once they put their attention to it... They can uprise/storm an entire government and its establishments and eat dangerous shit for funsies! FOR FUNSIES!!
It also happens to be the generation that was forced to grow up quicker, and tends to be more suici- I mean...unhealthily entrusts one's life with a thread.

Do you hate your son, Michael?
Well, he did sell my yacht so....

"I love my son. I hate how he acts. There's a difference. Suppose it's mostly my fault, though. I let his mother coddle him too much."
