I met a guy on a League server the other day who said that Viktor was the worst Arcane character because his motivation was unrealistic, and he was boring. He followed this claim up by saying, "The only reason people like him is because he got a Twenty One Pilots song," with full seriousness. This was not the first awful take he shared, but it is the one I've been seething over since it happened.

I can’t put my finger on why, but I can feel in my bones that Jayce suffered from, “Hot Girl who is literally so hot no one has ever dared asked her out, so she thinks she’s ugly or unlovable” syndrome.

You cannot convince me that the expression of total shock and confusion of his face when Mel mildly flirts with him and gets in his personal space is the product of someone who is used to being flirted with. He’s completely oblivious to how many longing looks get thrown his way.

And clearly Mel had no idea either because you can almost see the panic on her face when Jayce gets all lovey-dovey with her after their one night stand. She clearly thought this was a simple, obvious way to manipulate a passionate young man and make him well disposed to her guidance but, whoops, you were actually his first and the first person to ever openly express romantic interest in him, again, because no one else (including Viktor) ever dared!

Everyone just assumed he’s so conventionally hot he must also be romantically and/or sexually experience, but nah, bro was too busy obsessing over weird science and crushing on his lab partner to have a sex life.

Literally it explains so much. Him not shooting his shot with Viktor. His sense of betrayal when he confronts Mel about using him in 2.08 (she was his first! And she used him!). The fact he seems totally oblivious to the way people look at him.

Jayce is the Hot Girl no one ever asked out and he has literally no idea.

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Sevika:

Before you even get the chance to be scared, Sevika stirs and mumbles a bit, groggily sits up, and fully fires away in the direction of the noise blasting that corner of the room to holy hell. Then she collapses back down and promptly resumes snoring.

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Vi:

You hear a sort of scratching noise and both of you wake up, but you don’t really gaf. Vi, on the other hand, springs into action and is all “Babe, get behind me, I’ll kick its ass,” etc. She tiptoes off to investigate and you’re all like “Babe its fine it was probably the wind I’m not even scared just come back to bed” and she’s like “NO! I will protect you” and it ends up being like a single emaciated rat in the garbage.

“Wow babe I’m so glad you were here to protect me from such a terrifying apex predator, that could’ve gotten ugly quick.”

“Can it, sleeping beauty.”

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Mel:

This absolute princess is a really light sleeper, so she’s immediately up. But she doesn’t wanna wake you, so she ignores it. Then it happens again and she wakes you up gently and is all like “Darling? Would you check that out for me? The sound has just been persisting and I’m a bit nervous.” So you go and it’s nothing to worry about and she’s apologetic and you’re all “no worries love, better safe than sorry.” And she has you give her back scratches. Cause she’s a sensitive artist type and needs to chill out so she can go back to sleep.

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Jayce:

Hears nothing, sleeps through it. He snores loud like a middle aged father in an armchair.

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Viktor:

Viktor is probably up anyways, couldn’t sleep. He’s posted up at his desk reading by candlelight or reviewing notes/drafting something sciencey. He studies in silence so he hears it, assesses, and realizes its not a threat. Decides it’s not worth investigating unless it persists and becomes annoying.

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Caitlyn:

I would say that Caitlyn sleeps through it because she’s lived a charmed life, but on second thought the Jinx shower kidnapping thing would probably give her a bit of a paranoid edge, especially regarding home invasions. In a sleepy daze, she reaches into the bedside drawer, grabs the glock, and tucks it in bed with her like a teddy bear. Also I think she goes to bed listening to NPR or some niche history podcast.

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Jinx:

Her eyes open wide immediately, and the knee-jerk fear response gets her heart pumping. As we know, her stress reactions are a little inconsistent and she seeks out conflict, doesn’t like to let things rest. I think it would somehow excite her and she would sit up in bed, pick at her cuticles or play with a nearby weapon/gadget as she waits for either death or a brawl. Or she might seek out the source for violence purposes depending on what she’s feeling in the moment. Diva is combative. Actually, I take it back I think she would always go out and investigate every little bump in the night — one of the many reasons her sleep cycle is so inconsistent. She’d tear through all her belongings searching for it. There’d be audible crashes and she’d make a huge mess of her room. It’d drive her up the wall if she couldn’t find it. Until something distracted her enough to get her to return to bed.

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Isha:

Isha wakes up and immediately thinks monster under the bed? She dangles a shoelace or a sock over the edge of the bed to see if the monster bites, cause she’s a smart kid. Nothing does and she tiptoes over to Jinx’s area (cautious and stepping lightly because you can never be too careful with these under-the-bed-monsters) and wakes her up by tugging gently on her braid. She points furiously to the closet and Jinx makes a big show of investigating every nook and cranny. She’s saying something like “Hereee furry monster. Pssst pssst… Come out come out wherever you are, ugly.” She sets up “monster booby traps” with bits and bobs and trinkets. “No scaly ne’erdowell is getting past the Fang Destroyer 5000, I can tell you that much.”

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Ekko:

Ekko sleeps like the dead. And he wears headphones to bed and listens to metal and noisecore. He didn’t hear a damn thing. There could be a majorette kickline complete with a marching band drum sequence making its way through the tree and trust he would remain slumbered up. Snoozepilled to the max.

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Heimerdinger:

He’s def got a white noise machine or he listens to whale sounds to get to bed. Yordles have excellent hearing though so he probably woke up immediately. Idk how this fits with actual lore but I feel like yordles would have prey instincts. Something tells me Heimerdinger burrows deeper in his blanket like he’s having a predator fight or flight response. And he’s like. Trembling involuntarily. However, he is a man of science, so he talks himself through it. “’Tis but a shifting floorboard! Perhaps some rowdy vermin. Nothing to obsess over — the likely scenario is that I am safe in my home, and should go back to sleep. I must get my rest so I can approach the morning with a healthy body and a fresh mind!”

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Ambessa:

Ambessa hears it cause she’s got ears like a hawk (do hawks have ears…?) but she goes back to bed because she’s got people to handle that. And if someone surprise attacks her she can definitely take them in her sleep.

⚠️arcane s2 act iii spoilers⚠️

can anyone explain what went down between ambessa and victor?? i feel like both of their motivations confused me and there was alr so much happening so here's my interpretation of it all:

ambessa came to piltover to check in on her daughter (see how her city is doing, maybe check if there's any black rose mages causing her trouble, to tell her of her brother's loss) and maybe get a slice of that hextech progress pie, and only after she saw the undercity "misbehaving" did she decide something needed to be done about it and that she needed to take the reigns because in her eyes, mel was too soft just like she was as a child. she was losing control over her subjects.

after teaming up with caitlyn (and i've said it in another post but caitlyn had clear objectives, didn't want innocent casualties, and didn't intend on making the whole undercity kneel unlike ambessa), originally ambessa only wanted warwick to use as a weapon, until singed told her (and she saw for herself) what the herald was capable of. victor could turn her entire army basically invincible and immortal so they could finally stand a chance against the mages (which she originally thought they could do with hextech before she got distracted by her desire to conquer zaun into submission) and get her revenge for kino's death.

so ambessa waged war on the whole city, her daughter's city that she gave her to rule over, just so she could get to the anomaly that would allow victor to turn her warriors (and because caitlyn betrayed her and warwick killed her right hand man i guess, although i think those, esp the former, were an afterthought for her). when she first asked victor to turn her people, he agreed, which was already weird to me. maybe he just wanted a chance to turn more people perfect, other than the willing zaunites that came to him for salvation, but a part of his idea of perfection was incompatible with what ambessa had in mind as well as what he himself later used those puppets for - violence, war, revenge, destruction. he'd said to jayce that he didn't want them to have those ugly, dirty human qualities. he also said to ambessa he'd do it to the ones willing - he changes his mind after jayce and mel beat his ass and singed does the thing which completes his final transformation.

and then victor's last form ends up trying to turn everyone to his image of the glorious evolution... so did victor always plan to betray ambessa and just do what he wanted?? or did his objectives (and in general his beliefs) change after jayce blasted a hole into his chest, or maybe after ambessa died and he no longer "had a deal" with her and wasn't operating under her command, although he never officially was? or did he get corrupted beyond repair after singed did his thing? why did he even let singed do it? didn't he realize what ambessa wanted from him? were they both just using each other?

On Jinx and Vi

Nothing better than discovering that your dad is actually not dead but a literal fucking beast and now you have to talk to your sister who turned emo/crazy to save him.

+ Silco and Vander were besties.

I'm happy to see the new relationship between these two after all. So much to apologise and so much to say, and also trying to save the country. I just hope they have small sister fights constantly.

On Caitlyn

I must admit I didn't see Cait coming because I thought she just turned evil but turns out people are complex beings and Cait is not Ambessa.

"Caitlyn is not distracted" that's such a hard line from Vi. She was so distracted by Ambessa but she's right back on track. I love seeing THE lesbians back. Now, they have a lot to talk about and mostly with Jinx, because that sister-in-law relationship is, well, it's definitely a relationship.

On Isha

Wow. I don't even know how to feel because WOW. She was one of the strongest characters I've seen. She loved these people, who by the way she (more or less) just met and she sacrificed her entire life for them and many more. THAT'S strong. I'm gonna miss her and I'm sure Jinx is NOT letting this slide.

On Jayce and Viktor

Jayce is so absolutely traumatised he went insane and I'm just hoping Viktor didn't actually die because I will start killing people, but I'm not mad at him. Mostly I want to see how he turns out. Of course he didn't want to kill him but he did what he thought was okay.

I think the final speech Viktor gave was absolutely amazing. Again, the complexity of the characters is something I had definitely never seen before (although I haven't consumed as much media as I would like to), and how the writers were able to build everything has me crying.

My prediction is that Jayne will be suffering quite a lot and think about Viktor nonstop. The thing is (coming from my own sadness) I think Viktor is not dead, but his body is. He transcended human nature and will be talking to Jayce, maybe through whatever the hammer has going on. My boy Jayce has it BAD.

I want at least a hug and Jayce bawling his eyes out. Ugly crying. Snot, tears and drool all over his face apologising to Viktor and not knowing what to do. And then they both smooch in the weird arcane realm they're in. *figurines clicking together sounds*

Now for real, I would love it if Viktor got into his mind when he sleeps of whatever and talks to him. Maybe he explains what he's seen and Jayce and him fight over what to do, because they have extremely different views on Hextech. That will be a good fight to see.

On Ekko and Mel

Oh god what is going on. For real what are they putting my girl and my boy through. Someone help these people.

Like, Jayce got out but where the fuck are Ekko and Heimendinger? And Mel is just lost in the weirdest realm ever, even worse than whatever Viktor has going on. All of this will be cleared out in the next episodes but damn. There's A LOT to clear out.

My thoughts

I must admit I didn't do a rewatch and that's leaving me with a few questions, but I'll probably watch it all over again and see the full show at its finest.

I will say that in the series that I watch I usually pick favourites. If they're not on screen I lose interest, but this show has me on a chokehold. Every one of these characters are so important and so interesting, and I think that's what makes a show good.

Beautiful writing, beautiful storytelling, beautiful art, beautiful pace. I just love it. As an amateur writer I love seeing this, it's such an inspiration to continue. It's so hard to watch knowing my favs will be going through hell but as a writer it's amazing to see how well the writers built that hell. So to conclude:

The girls are all against Ambessa, me and my besties overthrowing the government.

Jayce and Viktor having yet ANOTHER boyfriend fight, biblical edition.

Mel and Ekko are having the worst weed paranoia ever seen, now with magic.

The whole country is collapsing and these stupid bitches have to save it with the power of friendship and gayness, and I'm here for it.

act 1 had me tweakin out but act 2 feels bittersweet yk? like of course im sad over the possible??? character deaths, but everything felt necessary and like it was happening for a reason. viktors little speech about humanity really confirmed this. it seems like he realized that what he said to jayce earlier was right and killing him is what needed to happen. everything seemed like a dream and its only natural that it all comes crumbling down and tragic shit happens to the characters that only wanted the best.

ANYWAYS, back to my normal nonsense here are some less existential thoughts.

- sevika KILLED ME. like how did they make her hotter??? especially w that ugly ah haircut????

- im also becoming a jayce stan like viktor was hot ash w that long hair, but jayce??? ho mama im boutta BUST.

- vi punching isha??? like girl will always be a kid attacker smh. loving small parallels between jinx and isha tho super funsies.

- when cait knocked out vi and took her to ambessa i was so so scared UNTIL i realized that vi was tied up. like it just HIT ME bc caitlyn KNOWS that vi can get out of situations like that. i got so hype after that.

- it seems like isha will become more of a symbol than jinx. from how she showed up at the rally to what went down at the end of the season. its giving rue in the hunger games, how she is seen as the innocence in this horrible conflict.

- that undercity doctor ALWAYS pissed me off i dont even remember his name thats how much beef i have with this man.

- even with all this beef i still understand all sides and love the politically tension because its ALWAYS more complicated than right and wrong.

My Friendly Neighborhood Review

Hey Kids! Do you want a mascot horror game that's actually good? Do you want to shoot and watch puppets fly across the room in funny ways? Or do you want to play a game that breaks you to the point of ugly crying due to the messages about selfishness versus selflessness, the trauma of war, grief, depression, death, and depending on which ending you decide, make you feel miserable or hopeful? (Boy, what I wrote there got dark!) Then you should play My Friendly Neighborhood!!!

July 8, 1993, in a very unfriendly city where the citizens that were emotionally affected by the war that lasted for twenty years by watching it from their TV sets (An in-universe version of the Vietnam War in this game), an old studio's antenna starts up playing a canceled kids show that's the in-universe version of Sesame Street, My Friendly Neighborhood, over the news. You play as repair crewman Gordon O'Brian was forcibly sent by his employer, Sprocket Palm Property Management, and their clients, City Network Broadcasting Group, to shut down the antenna at the top of the abandoned studio's hotel. Failure to do so, Gordon, due to his terrible, mean, and rude behavior, would result in getting fired. Upon getting there, SURPRISE, The Puppets Are Alive That A Lot Of Them Want To Hug You To Death!!! Along the way, Ricky the Sock Puppet guides Gordon throughout the studio trying to convince him not to disconnect the antenna. Can Gordon survive the night at the studio as he tries to find a way up to the antenna? Or will Gordon be trapped in the studio forever?

Pros... There's a lot! I can list them all day! The game is a love letter to tv shows and movies made by the Jim Henson Company over the years. The shows and movies had different names to prevent copyright claims in the game's universe. The cute factor is that you'll get attached to Ricky the Sock Puppet. He's like if Scout Prime from Hello Puppets was similar to Kermit the Frog and doesn't curse. If you're thinking, wait Hello Puppets already did possess murder puppets, that seems repetitive! Actually, the puppets aren't possessed. I'm wondering if the creators are saving a twist for another game. (Please let it be Gordon, Ricky, and the Neighborhood characters versus the villains from the in-universe The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth movies after they fell for a trap they thought was a movie deal!) I won't dive into details in this review. Let's say you have to think on your own about what's really happening here. I think for a horror game to do that was refreshing. What you might have fun with in this game is the clever ideas and designs of the weapons you find, the Rolodex and the Novelist being two of them, and the puzzles you come across along the way. However, the best part of the game has to be the writing since it takes a survival horror game and turns it into a dark comedy that would make Mel Brooks proud. If you're a completionist and you finish the game, don't leave! There's More! There are 'secret tapes' scattered around the studio, and once you finish the game, they will unlock cheats and mods to create some interesting experiences the next time you play.

There aren't many cons to this game. Something was happening with the maps, but that was fixed, thankfully. If I have some things I have to nitpick, first, this game has a lot of backtracking to other levels that many would find annoying. However, you'll make discoveries along the way. Just get ready if the previous levels you have been through get harder as more puppets appear. Second, you need to be ready to conserve your ammunition. Once it's gone and used, it's GONE, and your left with the wrench. So plan ahead, or you're dead in the finale! For beginners, this game may take hours or days to beat unless you got the patience to win. As the game continues, some of the puzzles will get harder and leave you scratching your head for a while. There have also been some complaints that the game should be considered a horror game at times, even though there are terrifying moments. Especially in the climax and ending that would leave you shaking unless you wished for more from that. So the cute factor in the game may turn off some who want something darker than this. Yet, if you read carefully the files you collect, you'll discover where the true darkness lurks in this game.

I may need to warn you of potential spoilers to some trigger warnings of war, depression, and references to taking away your own life. In a game about fighting murder puppets, the game does a shockingly good job tackling war trauma not just for the victims and soldiers but also for the citizens back on the homefront, where many viewed the soldiers as villains and getting exposed to the war on their home televisions. Because of that, the citizens in the city were traumatized and depressed by it. Even one worker at the studio wrote about "going into the light". I got a theory as to what happened to them. Something I noticed at the beginning makes sense now when reading those notes.

So there are multiple endings in the game. One is the true ending. Whichever ending you get, get your tissues ready. You might cry ugly tears of joy. Overall, spending money on this game is worth it! Even if you don't have the money, watch your favorite Gaming YouTubers and watch the game as a movie experience. It's not perfect, but it's rightfully up there, along with that antenna. This game may not be for everyone, but if you're a fan of Resident Evil (which I should start watching more gameplay of the game series if able, to be honest), you grew up with Sesame Street and the Muppets, you're a big Jim Henson Company nerd, you like puppets, you're a fan of Hello Puppets and Welcome Home, and you love film noir, this game is for you. So get it while it's still on sale, grab a buddy or two, and get learning in your favorite friendly neighborhood!

I would give this game a 9/10 for Ricky being adorable and Gordon getting some needed sleep.

OH MY GOD NOT YOU TOO!!!!! I had a few friends who were also victim of his callouts and a few friends lost to joining his cult. The fact you’re on anon… are you still in witness protection… I’ll tell you the important facts I know

1: he made a gigantic callout post for me because I posted “why are people still following despairkomaeda when he admitted to rape” and he didn’t even DENY IT HE SAID I WAS ABLEIST FOR BLAMING THE ACTIONS OF HIS ALTERS ON HIM. He also said I was “forcing him to come out with the fact he had DID” (this was apparently the first time he debuted it) (DID release drops tonight) (DID: despairkomaedas version). His cronies for real harassed me for years I was in their abouts and whatnot (before the age of dnis so it was more like if u follow ishaan kill yourself etc)

3: this is total hearsay gossip alleged etc but my ex told me a couple years back there was a twitter thread of people who claimed to know him irl that said he’s in prison now. Ladies, I am approaching my five-year mark since I’ve been in a relationship and sexually active. When I tell people about my journey they give me a bizarre look. My healing journey started because a man I “loved” ( in quotation marks because I’ve learned that was NEVER LOVE) made me feel small. He body shamed me, abused me, called me ugly, fed on my insecurities, threw me out in the street, told me my dreams weren’t attainable, cheated on me, allowed another man to disrespect me, and never had my back when his friends and family talked ill about me.

I go hard for self-love and healing because without those things I would still be begging someone/men to love me. Unfortunately, I can’t blame him for everything because I allowed these things( I don't blame myself for abuse). I allowed myself to be mistreated because I didn’t know how to fight for myself, plus I was insecure and men-centered.

I am not a strong, independent black woman who doesn’t need a man. I’m a soft black woman who refuses to allow a man to mistreat her and settle. This is why I’ve been single for so long. I also needed time to heal and get to know me. It is easier to jump into a relationship or have casual sex to numb the pain.

I process everything for 4 1/2 years. I cried, questioned, and reflected over the years. I can say healing is worth it. I have a couple of wounds open, but it’s not as bad as before. That is why I ended up relocating to Maui. For those that don’t know Maui is known as the heart chakra. My heart was broken into pieces and Mother Maui helped. Many of you know I am a lover.

This post is for any woman who is hurting over what they thought was love. To any woman with daddy issues. To any woman that craves love and wants to be in a relationship, but refuses to settle. To anyone who feels they will never heal from a broken heart.

Lead with love and take as much time as you to heal. I used to cry in my room every night asking God when am I going to receive love. Now my bed is filled with love because I laid in it.

It’s going to be okay. You are someone’s prayer. You are in someone’s manifestation journal. You exist, therefore your person exists too.

Never settle in love.

Jinx: s1: The poor girl has gone through so much that reminisces with me and I need to hug her and ugly cry on her shoulder and adopt her even though she's like, a year younger than me I think. s2a1: Same but also, haha a child literally fell on you and you're her mom now.

Jayce: s1: haha get a taste of reality scrub- oh shit, you accidentally killed a kid O_____O. s2a1: Ok, look, I know what I said, and I completely understand why Viktor did it, but losing your best friend is like, one of the biggest heartbreaks a person can feel and I know he's not perfect, but he did not deserve that.

Viktor: s1: I like you and feel for you, but I'm not that attached to you, but I do want you to succeed and be happy. s2a1: Aaaaaaand you're hot.

Mel: s1: Woman, you have some trauma to resolve. Also ngl, your rule over Piltover and Zaun kinda sucks, but I get that you might not fully know that. Also also, you make a kickass girlfriend, especially for Jayce who's league you are far beyond. s2a1: Oh shit, you're even more traumatized and have more severe mommy issues than I initially thought. Maddie: Aww she's a ray of sunshine- oh no. Aw girl. She only wants everyone to be as happy as her, but she has noooooo idea what's going on.

Tbh I wouldn't consider hating Apollonia "so much". It's more that I hate Apollonia stans, honestly. 😭 I haven't ever interacted with one that hasn't gone straight to slandering Kay (calling her stupid, ugly, annoying, bratty), hating how independent Kay can be, how Kay actually cares for the wellbeing of her children, and how Kay stands up to Michael's bullshit and lies. 😐 It's not even valid criticism, it's straight up spewed hate and misogynistic comments. This probably stems from their relentless support of Michael getting his way and thriving. If Kay remains quiet and naïve, it fulfils the fantasy of Michael getting what he wants with full support.

Apollonia herself is annoying because she's whiny, immature and naive herself. 🥱 She also isn't entirely the "obedient, Sicilian housewife" the boomers who fawn over her say she is. Knowing Michael's being hunted down and searched for, she still insisted on driving his car and in the book, went against Michael's wishes to stay by his side and relocate villas because they had been too visible in Sicily. Instead, she went to stay at her parents' home for a while and even Michael expressed his disappointment in the book considering she didn't spend a second longer with him in bed after they had sex in the morning knowing it was their last day. She also just packed her things after getting out of the washroom whereas Michael thought they'd spend some time together eating breakfast. 🤔 That kind of behaviour would have killed Apollonia in the US right quick if she didn't already blow to pieces in Sicily, like when Calo mentioned "she'll make a great American wife".

Michael literally was getting the news that Sonny died and things weren't looking too great back home and we got Apollonia whining about driving a car and saying "you promised!". She's extremely annoying and childish. I get that she's literally a teenager but I never supported the whole child marriage thing with Michael anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I cannot stand the idolization of Apollonia because she's quiet, a housewife and submissive to Michael. It absolutely disgusts me tbh. I don't like everything she represents in the film/book. Those would essentially be my reasons. 😌

Narcissus gets very offended each time you give him nectar he's incredibly resistant to your attempts at making friends with him cause he thinks you're in love.

Spice Girls is something that I grew up with. I may have only been 5 when the movie came out, but If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends. What more can I say? And what girl doesn’t like a girl power movie sing-a-long.

Growing up Baby Spice, Emma Bunton, was my favorite, now I’m much more partial to Scary Spice, Mel B. Probably my favorite part about this movie is that it is a movie, about a documentary, and also another movie. And probably the most unrealistic thing about this movie is how much space they have on their personal double decker bus.

They really are all different not just like their names but their personalities. But they are all so close even with their friends outside of their group.

Seeing Baby Spice with those huge platform shoes on takes me back lol! And makes me wonder how short she really is.

Ummm. There was literally a thunderstorm in the evil newspaper guys office. Like wtf? Lolol. Not something I’ve noticed before, and watching it stoned I was like, “Wait what?” hahaha.

Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, has a mini runway on her side of the bus…and its not like it runs into the other side of the bus.. Mel B while looking at the fish tank on the bus, “There’s the ugly one that reminds me of my ex-boyfriend Stephen,” I’m crying hahaha!

I love getting to watch the part where they perform, I’m the Leader of the Gang and the guys first come out in those white short shorts, and the compromise ends up being this purple jump suit with their butts hanging out. I mean, it was either that or basically looking at their peeps hanging full on in your face basically.

Next, we have aliens. They literally get to meet fans from outterspace. What? Interstellar perverts. Who want tickets to their show. And get an autograph. And Ginger Spice, Geri Horner, gives one of them a kiss. I mean cute but kind of gross lol.

Wonder if you ever recognized that Meat Loaf was in the movie too. He was the bus driver. Even says his family “I won’t do that,�� phrase in the movie.

I like getting to watch the movie guys pitching ideas to their manager. The Spice Force 5 I think is the closest one. Freaking Mel B was the explosives expert and she does the lever for the bomb and you see these buildings collapse and she stands up and goes, “Oh no!” This is why she is my favorite now haha! She cracks me up!

You know this whole time, up until doing this review. I thought that the manager in this movie was played by Steve Valentine, but really its Richard E. Grant… in my defense it’s the side burns okay.. my bad 😝

I never really understood why they took their pregnant friend who is literally over due to have her baby to a club. Like I feel that wasn’t smart at all. But gotta make the movie more dramatic, right? And then the movie runs into the movie pitchers ideas. Like is it what’s supposed to happen, or is it just the pitch? Hmmm. Then it gets ridiculous... Why would they be on top of the bus?

The chief has the cutest little pig in the movie. It’s like he’s a villain with a cat, but it’s a pig. He ends up feeding it milk at one point. It was really cute.

I love the ending where it’s like we are behind the scenes to them filling the movie, and then they break the 4th wall talking to the people in the theater and at home. Last line, “what happened to the bomb on the bus?!”

I will always love watching this movie. I still listen to their songs on my spotify actually. And probably always will. 80 years old sitting in the house jamming Spice Up Your Life.

she never could have imagined it would be so different when one day, the person she was cradling in her arms, body limp, face just as it had been when it was alive, if she closed her eyes and held him close enough maybe, maybe it could feel like he's just asleep, there would be a different feeling creeping in her chest.

ambessa never thought she had the heart. but when she held her son in her arms for the first & last time, it's a gutting realization that she's always had a mother's hands.

rough, big hands know a softness that she never knew she could ever possess. when her son left her, no, was taken from her so forcefully, tragically, so violently, torn from her hands and her gaze, she thought it might destroy that very softness.

mel.

oh, mel. the only child she thought she had left, when she looked in her eyes again, she knew that it's something that couldn't be taken from her. when kindred came to take kino away from her, she imagines it was gentle, soft, just like he'd always hoped the world could be.

where a noxian's afterlife is supposed to be the battlefield, she hopes wherever lamb took him, is just as peaceful as the future he always envisioned for their family.

caitlyn's voice rests in her ears like a comforting song. it is also something she's had difficulty to accept. family bonds have always been strictly by blood & throughout her life, never falling in love with a single man, she thought that was just how it was meant to be.

that is drawn to question when she gazes after caitlyn in this garden, finds comfort, familiarity, love in her words, like they're tied together by an invisible thread and it isn't blood.

she lets herself look at the tree, then down at the ground, considers the young kiramman's words. her mother is always with her - if it's what she believes, kino would be too.

but, in most moments, she hopes he isn't. she hopes he's somewhere where he gets to breathe, where he gets to display himself exactly the way he is, where the person he was isn't one that would be scorned, looked down upon and doomed to die a miserable and young death.

this place makes her sick. where she should feel comfortable and at peace, and to an extent, she does, where caitlyn feels safe, so should she, but breathing this air gets harder by the minute.

then, caitlyn's words constrict her throat further. the sentiment that apparently: her son would be proud to see her like this. where all ambessa had seen, could feel, could notice, was ache, pain, suffering, hurt, caitlyn had seen someone gentle. that would be what kino would see, too.

not the rough, imperfect, strong, cruel mother he'd come to know. but someone gentle, someone who stares at the violet trees and just for a moment, knows peace.

noxus would never allow for something like this, she is convinced again, in this moment.

that the expression on her face is not only struck by the ache that sets in her chest, but also by a fondness, an appreciation for peace that she has never personally had the chance to get to know.

a mother that knows such peace is also one that he never got to know. that is a realization that she tries to push back down when she stares at caitlyn. instead now, her expression one of softness, but also one of ache, one that threatens to fall apart at any second, of tears that will run over her rough cheeks any second, if it's a feeling she focuses on for even a second longer.

when she notices this, she could almost laugh. ambessa doesn't think within her many, many years of life, she'd cried once until she finally had to hold the corpse of her own son in her arms. and even then, what came, wasn't a loud, ugly cry. what should be a crying, sobbing, grieving mother, was one that could only stare, just barely tear up, one that was desperately looking for life in his face.

it takes everything for her to drag herself back to the moment she is supposed to be enjoying with caitlyn. tearing her gaze off of her, she takes a few steps closer to the tree, then puts one hand on the bark. it's rough. " you're right. "

she's right. kino would want to be here. and she'd let him be. if she could ask kindred for just one more favor, it would be to let him know that his mother could have a tender face, too. she would not have to show him these trees, only that there is softness in her, too. that the heart he'd been born with wasn't misplaced, and that if she got to see mel again, she should know this, too.

acceptance. she hopes the place he's at now accepts him just the way he is. in all the ways she could never accept him when he was alive.

caitlyn has taught her much. she did not know there was still so much to learn. she could not fathom that someone so young is teaching her these lessons. caitlyn is also much better at such gentle words. she feels whatever would come out of her throat would be in disrespect of the very nature of this place.

so she presses her lips together, blinks through the tears that threaten her, clenches her fist against the tree and gives off a sigh. then, she finds the strength to look at caitlyn again. she doesn't know if any of her children ever got to see her like this.

" thank you. " , is all she finds the courage, she finds the right to say. " I'm sure he wouldn't believe you if you told him about this without getting to witness it himself. "

there's a bitter laugh, unclenched fists, instead, she steps closer to caitlyn, places a hand on her shoulder and let's it be the gentlest touch she's ever let herself give. in honor of the peace this place shall always know.

" I know I'm not your mother, " , she starts. " I could never hope to replace her. but you've taught me a lot, and I respect you for having strength I do not. "

ambessa squeezes her daughter's shoulder. " you're a formidable woman. I could never imagine your mother disapproving of you for a second. "

Caitlyn stood still, her hands brushing idly against the petals of a violet, her gaze lingering on the tree ahead. Ambessa’s words stayed with her, pressing gently but firmly against her heart. She could sense the weight behind them — the quiet grief, the vulnerability rarely seen in the imposing general. It was something Caitlyn recognized easily because she carried it too as of most recently, that ache of loss mixed with the warmth of memory.

She let out a soft breath, her shoulders lowering as though surrendering to the moment. With its stillness, calm, and delicate aromas, the garden felt like a sacred space for the young commander where truths could be spoken and wounds no longer hurt. Caitlyn felt her chest tighten, not with pain, but with something gentler — a bittersweet longing that wasn’t entirely unpleasant. Her voice was steady when she finally spoke, but there was an unmistakable tenderness there, expressed through each word.

❝ My mom is with me here,❞ Caitlyn said softly, her lips curving into the faintest of smiles as she looked up at the violet tree. ❝ But I don’t think she’s only with me here. She’s with me at home, in my bedroom, where I still sometimes feel her hand straighten my collar when it's not right. She’s with me on the battlefield, cheering me on when I feel I have nothing left to give.❞

Her fingers curled slightly around a stem, holding it delicately as if the flower itself might anchor her emotions. ❝ My mother is wherever I imagine her to be,❞ Caitlyn continued, her voice thickening just slightly with the weight of her words. ❝ She’s a spirit now, and spirits… they get around much easier than we do,❞ She added softly, though her voice was now tinged with a sadness she didn’t even try to hide for once. ❝ She watches over me. I know it. And if I want her to see something, I know she will.❞

The quiet of the garden stretched around them again, filled only by the rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze. Caitlyn closed her eyes briefly, inhaling the scent of violets. It brought back memories — her mother’s laughter, the rare moments of peace they shared in this very spot, the sense of safety she used to feel here. When she opened her eyes, her gaze was fixed on Ambessa, full of understanding for her situation, and something unspoken that passed easily between them.

For once, Caitlyn felt like she was the stronger one in this conversation.

❝ I believe as long as we’re alive,❞ Caitlyn said after a pause, ❝ our loved ones are alive with us, too. Not just in our memories, but truly with us. Just from afar.❞

She hesitated, a flicker of doubt crossing her features before she let herself continue. ( Was it too much? Was she going too far? Did not matter now. ) ❝ You have to connect with your soul,❞ Caitlyn added. ❝ Connect with Kino. Feel the breeze and how it stirs the air around you. Let it carry his feelings to you. I promise you’ll know they’re there if you try.❞

She wanted to say more, to fill the space with reassurances or promises, but she knew better. Words could only carry so much, and not even she was sure that it worked for everyone, just because she felt like she could connect with Cassandra in such an easy way.

Instead, Caitlyn let her actions say what her words couldn’t. She reached out, resting a hand lightly albeit hesitantly on Ambessa’s shoulder, the touch still fleeting. ❝ He would’ve loved these trees,❞ she spoke, her voice trembling slightly as her throat tightened with emotion. ❝ And I think, if he could see you here now, standing beneath them, he’d be so proud. That you're putting on a more tender face now.❞

Caitlyn let her hand drop back to her side, her gaze drifting upward once more, to the violets swaying gently in the breeze. For a moment, she allowed herself to imagine it too — someone like Ambessa in looks but a young man, Kino, standing beside Ambessa, gazing at the tree with the same awe she felt now. She didn’t know if it was true or not, she didn't know what he looked like really, but she decided it didn’t matter. Some things were real simply because they were felt. And this, she believed, was one of those things.
