Taking the ‘tiny stuck in the cold’ daydream a step further with the tiny being some sort of little porcelain doll who can feel the extreme temperature threatening to crack them — not able to freeze to death but able to freeze and crack apart with any small movement, and having to continue living with the broken pieces long afterward.
