When it rains it pours. Kenji divorced his wife, lost his job and his old squeeze Naoko is getting married back home in the north of Japan. He returns there in order to attend her wedding.

An intense, believable relationship. At least until the final stretch when it becomes a bit too talky and about Mount Fuji erupting.

I somehow missed at first that the two are cousins. I'm not sure at what point that was revealed. While that makes it clearer why the two can't stay together. I would've preferred it without that connection.
