‘What We Do in the Shadows’ Season 4 Officially Begins Filming

FX’s vampire comedy series, ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ has begun filming on the fourth season today (September 27) in Toronto, Canada. The show was renewed for Season 4, three weeks before the premiere of the third season.

Executive producer Scott Rudin is not returning for the fourth season, FX confirmed during the renewal of the series for Season 4. Rudin was in controversy after his alleged involvement in systematic abuse against the uber producer.

Yana Gorskaya and Kyle Newacheck are returning as directors for the fourth season, which will take three months to complete the production just like the previous season.

The first episode of Season 3 of ‘What We Do In the Shadows’ premiered on FX on Hulu on September 2. The show releases one episode every week on Thursday and currently, five episodes of the third season are available to stream.

What We Do in the Shadows is set in Staten Island and follows the lives of three conventional vampires, Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja, as well as Colin Robinson, an energy vampire, and Guillermo, Nandor's familiar. The series features centuries-old vampires as they interact with the modern world and other supernatural beings.

The regular cast of the series includes Kayvan Novak as Nandor the Relentless, Natasia Demetriou as Nadja of Antipaxos, Matt Berry as Laszlo Cravensworth, Mark Proksch as Colin Robinson, and Harvey Guillén as Guillermo de la Cruz.

Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi, Paul Simms, Garrett Basch, Eli Bush, and Stefani Robinson return as executive producers. Ingrid Lageder, Joanne Toll, Hartley Gorenstein, Kyle Newacheck, and Derek S. Rappaport are the producers.

Outside the USA, ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ is available to watch on BBC and streaming on Disney Plus in the UK, and HOTSTAR & Disney Plus in India.

HANNIBAL’S Mads Mikkelsen to Star in Netflix’s POLAR

Netflix is currently developing a revenge/vigilante thriller, and have tapped Hannibal’s Mads Mikkelsen, to star. The film, Polar, will follow a master assassin (Mikkelsen), who is forced to come out of retirement and duke it out with younger, faster hitmen. From the description, it sounds like Netflix wants a piece of the Box Office of Keanu Reaves’ latest franchise, John Wick.

The film is based on Dark Horse’s graphic novel series, Polar: Came From the Cold. The synopsis from the novel: “Ripped out of retirement by an assassination attempt, the world’s most deadly spy – the former agent known as Black Kaiser – is a wanted man that’s wanted… dead! On a collision course with his former employer, the Damocles Agency, Black Kaiser goes head-to-head with a stab-happy, psychotic torture expert and a seductive-but-deadly redhead. His mission only ends if he dies or kills everyone out to get him… and he’s not in the habit of dying.”

Polar is directed by Jonas Akerlund (Lords of Chaos), from a screenplay by Jayson Rothwell (Silent Night).  Vanessa Hudgens (Spring Breakers), Katheryn Winnick (Vikings), and Matt Lucas (Alice In Wonderland), will co-star.

Constantin’s Robert Kulzer, Jeremy Bolt, and Hartley Gorenstein produce. Mikkelsen, Constantin’s Martin Moszkowicz, and Dark Horse Entertainment’s Keith Goldberg and Mike Richardson serve as executive producers.

The film is currently in production in Toronto, Canada – and we expect it to hit the streaming giant sometime next year. We’ve been a fan of Mikkelsen’s since his haunting portrayal in the dark drama The Hunt in 2012, and again with the television series Hannibal, so we’ll definitely be keeping our ear to the ground on this one.

La stagione 1 di The Boys è stata un grande successo per il servizio di streaming nel 2019, e la stagione 2 è apparentemente così buona che The Boys è stata già rinnovata per la stagione 3, ben oltre un mese prima del debutto della stagione 2 il 4 settembre.

La prima stagione ha introdotto il pubblico che da il titolo alla serie, composto da un gruppo eterogeneo di persone le cui vite sono state tutte influenzate negativamente dai “The Seven”, un gruppo privato di supereroi, parodia della Justice League. Karl Urban (Billy Butcher), Jack Quaid (Hughie Campbell), Antony Starr (Homelander) ed Erin Moriarty (Starlight) guidano il cast. La stagione 1 si è conclusa con i protagonisti dispersi e Butcher che ha scoperto che la moglie che pensava fosse morta è in realtà viva e ha cresciuto il figlio di Homelander in un luogo segreto. Ora, Amazon (tramite Collider) ha rilasciato una serie di nuove immagini per la seconda stagione di The Boys, che mostrano quanto le cose stanno per diventare sanguinose.
