Redesigns! Harmonia & Krys!
Before we jump into the redesigns, I would like to clarify something that involves ‘Inevitabilis’ and ‘The Silver Mage’ from the @askharmonia blog (which is still open for asks if you’re interested!). To make a long story short, most of what happens over on that blog isn’t canon to the world ‘Inevitabilis’ takes place (which I have called the ‘Infinita Fatum’ series). While some things will remain the same, ‘The Silver Mage’ and that ask blog will be considered an alternate timeline/universe. With that cleared up, on with the new looks!
Tumblr media
Harmonia, Dark Princess
Name: Harmonia Alias: Princess Harmonia the Dark Race: Symphonyxian Gender: Female Occupation: Princess of Symphonyxia, sorceress Powers: Levitation, telekinesis, music magic, dark magic Goal: Go on adventures, form alliances between Symphonyxia and other kingdoms Allies: Octavo, Cadence, Link, Zelda Likes: Tea, music, adventure Dislikes: Deku shrubs, being alone, her mother’s strict rules
Themes: A Light in the Dark - Harmonia’s Theme (tommyinnit CG5 - Music Box)                Anthem of Light - Harmonia’s Battle Theme (You Say Run)                Ballad of Darkness - Harmonia the Dark (Giratina’s Theme)
Centuries before Dolcia was born, the Symphonyxian royal family consisted of Soloria the Undaunted, Altos the Compassionate, and their daughter Harmonia the Dark. Born with severe phocomelia - an absence of limbs - Harmonia relies on magic to get around and interact with objects. Optimistic, adventurous, cheerful, and friendly to all she meets, many tend to be confused upon hearing of her title after meeting her: Harmonia the Dark. Her title was given upon her realising she could naturally cast dark magic without being corrupted by it - a rare gift said to be bestowed by Forten, the deity of death. However, it is still dangerous to use for extended periods, with Harmonia only using it when absolutely necessary or when pushed too far. Though this doesn’t bother Harmonia as she prefers using music magic over it. While her relationship with her father is a strong and healthy one, with him encouraging her love of adventure by telling her stories of heroes past and legends from far-off kingdoms, Harmonia has a strained relationship with her mother, finding her strict and overbearing, and disagreeing with her idea of keeping Symphonyxia cut off from other kingdoms. It came to a boiling point when Soloria forbid Harmonia from interacting with a close friend of hers - Octavo, a commoner musician - unless he obtained noble status within the kingdom, causing Octavo to leave the kingdom until he was able to do so. A month later, Harmonia escaped the kingdom’s walls with the help of her father and set off to find him, only to find the kingdom of Hyrule trapped in a rhythm-based curse. Realising Octavo was behind it, Harmonia teamed up with the Hylian princess Zelda, the hero warrior Link, and Cadence - an explorer from another world - to stop both Octavo and Gannon. After stopping the future Gannon and saving Octavo from him (as well as himself), Harmonia decided to stay in Hyrule to help Octavo make up for his mistakes. Harmonia cares deeply for Octavo and enjoys performing with him.

Krys Ginmaho, Silver Mage
Name: Krystalite Ginmaho Alias: Krys           The Silver Mage Race: Gemonyk Gender: Female (AMAB) Occupation: Sorceress, mage, nomad Powers: Silver magic Goal: Learn as much about magic as they can, avenge her kingdom Allies: Vaati (”It’s complicated”) Likes: Magic, travelling, pranks Dislikes: Rules, staying in one place for too long, tyrants
Themes: Travelling Magician - Krys’s Theme (Wo Is Die Käse? - Music Box)                The Silver Mage - Krys’s Battle Theme (The Sun Rises)                No More Messing Around (The Worst End)
Even longer ago, about a century from Harmonia’s time, there was a neighbouring kingdom to Symphonyxia called Gemonyka. Its inhabitants were known as Gemonyks - those who could innately cast magic from birth. Among them was a young Gemonyk named Krystalite Ginmaho, or Krys for short. Krys became well-known among other mages for being gifted with the rare silver magic, said to be a gift from a deity of life. Krys is childish at heart and despite having one of the most powerful forms of magic known to mortals, mainly uses it for pranks and jokes. Even her magical attacks are fun and silly in nature. She earned the scar on her eye during her early training with magic, where she overdid it and a sudden surge of pure silver magic left a physical mark on her. Wanting to learn more about magic, Krys left home to travel between kingdoms and learn about all forms of magic. During her travels, she learned a spell that allowed her to travel to another world: the Minish Realm. Using magic to shrink herself down, she was able to explore the Minish’s world and learn their forms of magic. During her exploration, she met a mage apprentice named Vaati who was curious about her powers. The two quickly bonded over their love of magic, with Krys regularly returning to visit Vaati when she returned to travelling. The two became very close, to the point where Krys developed a small crush on Vaati. However, when Krys went to visit her old home, she found Gemonyk burned to the ground by a dragon. She spent the next several months hunting down the dragon and getting strong enough to kill it. A feat she managed to succeed in. But when she finally returned to the Minish Realm, she found out that Vaati and his master Ezlo were missing. Knowing the door between Hyrule and the Minish Realm had opened, she decided to search there where she learned of Vaati’s rampage. Deciding to team up with Link and the cursed Ezlo, Krys managed to help defeat Vaati and save Hyrule. Seeing Vaati had begun to regret his actions, Krys convinced Ezlo to let Vaati keep the cap that transformed him into a sorcerer and that she would keep an eye on him, helping him use his new powers to help mankind. Ezlo reluctantly agreed and the two became travelling mages together. Vaati even created a relic that would allow the wearer to use wind magic. This would be passed down from generation to generation, eventually being given to their descendant, Octavo.

((Decided to draw the crew since it’s been awhile. I feel like I’ve improved slightly since I last drew them. I think out of the four, I like how Octavo turned out the most.))

Krystalite Ginmaho, the Silver Mage.
Krys’s Silver Light form -  a form that allows her to cast powerful spells that would usually severely injure or even kill the caster. This is the form that gave her the title everyone knows her by: the Silver Mage.

Harmonia, Octavo & The Silver Mage Chapter 5
Tumblr media
Chapter 5: Change
Much to Vaati’s surprise, Octavo and Harmonia survived the fall off the cliff by casting a fusion spell to form Octonia. Will they be enough to stop Vaati, or will they witness the power of the Silver Mage firsthand?
‘I can make a promise. I can make a plan. I can make a difference. I can take a stand. I can make an effort, If I only understand, That I… I can make a change.’
Vaati glared between the angered Octonia and the surprised Krys – who was still trying to recover from the shock of the situation and the new person appearing before her. Vaati’s teeth were bared before chuckling to himself, “Well…I gotta admit, that’s a nice trick. But if you think fancy tricks are going to help you defeat me, you are even more stupid than I thought.” Vaati lobbed a blast of energy towards Octonia, “To stone with you!”
“Accelerando!” Octonia tapped themself with their baton, casting a haste spell, before effortlessly dodging the attack and pointing the baton at Vaati, “Reprise!” A lavender glow appeared around Vaati. “Seriously?” Vaati sniggered, “That didn’t do anything! Fireball!” Vaati went to toss a fireball at Octonia but cast the stone spell instead, which Octonia dodged once again with a smirk, “What were you just saying?”
“Wha-?!” Vaati exclaimed in surprise before growling and going to cast fireball again, but it came out as the stone spell again and Octonia continued to dodge. “Try all you want.” Octonia chuckled, “But for the next while, my reprise spell will only allow you to cast the spell you used previously. Now, let’s get into this performance’s climax!” Octonia made an arc in the air with the baton, summoning a group of purple fireballs, “Feurig!” Octonia pointed the baton at Vaati and the fireballs were flung towards Vaati. Vaati dodged most of the fireballs but was hit by two of them, sending him flying backwards. As Vaati got up, he saw the lavender aura disappear from around his body. “Finally.” Vaati muttered before summoning a gust of wind in an attempt to knock them off the cliff edge. “Mezzo!” Octonia swung their baton downwards in a slicing motion, causing the gust of wind to separate into two different directions, as if it was sliced in half. “Is that all you’ve got?” Octonia twirled their baton while glaring at Vaati, “If that’s the case, then I suggest you walk away before I do something we’ll both regret.”
Vaati growled, “I won’t admit defeat to a couple of goddesses-damn musicians!” The wind mage teleported behind Octonia. Octonia spun around and went to cast another spell but was sent flying backwards by a blast of dark purple energy and unfused into Octavo and Harmonia – their magic once again disabled. “Not again…” Harmonia groaned as she struggled on the ground. Octavo tried to get to his feet but was knocked backwards again by a blast of wind from Vaati, who approached them with a furious glare. “I’ve had enough of the both of you!” Vaati growled, “All the two of you have done is get in my way and irritate me beyond belief.” Harmonia glanced up at the sky and almost did a double take. The sky was darkening as grey clouds were filling the sky and Harmonia could feel arcane energy charging the air. Vaati seemed to not notice the change as he held up a fireball in each hand, “I won’t let you stall the inevitable any longer-!”
 *C R A S H ! ! !*
 “ARGH!!!”
A bolt of silver lightning struck the ground by Vaati, sending him flying sideways and tumbling across the ground. Octavo and Harmonia felt their magic return to them as Harmonia hovered upright again. “What was…?” Harmonia began but stopped as she looked behind her. Krys was standing there – coat and hair billowing in the wind – as her hand was clenched in front of her with silver and white magic glowing around it and a pair of beautiful white and silver wings were stretched out behind her. Her eyes had a silver sclera with glowing white pupils, and the mark on her forehead was also glowing brightly. Her expression was almost unreadable, but Harmonia could feel the raw anger and fury radiating from her. This was the Krystalite Ginmaho that Harmonia had read about in books: a mage whose powers knew no bounds and who would never back down from a fight. A mage who would put her life on the line if it meant protecting the innocent. This was her. This was the Silver Mage.
Vaati got to his feet and went to glare behind him, but his furious expression turned to one of fear upon seeing Krys. “Vaati…” Krys began, her voice now cold and serious as opposed to her usual animated and chirpy tone, “You wanted me to ‘grow up’, right? To be mature? …very well then.” Krys held out her hand and a bright orb of light appeared before shifting into another shape. The light scattered to reveal a scythe; a dark purple, plum and purple staff with a large, curved silver blade emerging from it – wisps of silver light were drifting off the blade like mist. “I never got to show you all of my spell back then, did I?” Krys continued, “You always begged me to show you them. Well congratulations, Vaati…you got your wish.” Krys swung her scythe around before slamming the blade into the earth, “Silver Crescent!” Blades of silver lights emerged from the blade and zoomed across the ground straight towards Vaati who soared into the air to avoid them. “Meteor Swarm!” Krys pointed into the sky as small flaming asteroids appeared in the air above her and went screeching towards the wind mage. Vaati tried to swerve out of the way but was knocked out of the air by the flaming rocks. Vaati landed on the ground with a pained grunt before sending multiple fireballs at Krys. Krys, seemingly unfazed, just deflected all of them with the blade of her scythe but was caught off guard by Vaati lunging towards her and pinning her to the ground. He went to blast her with a fireball when Krys squeezed her eyes shut and reopened them to reveal a shining silver light that blinded Vaati, sending him stumbling backwards as Krys got to her feet. “Blink!” Krys yelled as she teleported behind Vaati and held her palm out towards him, “Investiture: Wind!” A blast of wind emerged from her palm and knocked Vaati backwards. “Investiture: Ice!” Krys clenched her hand and dragged it upwards, causing a spike of ice to emerge from the ground. “Scatter!” Krys palmed the ice spike which splintered into smaller shards and went flying at Vaati. Vaati sat up and saw the ice shards coming right at him and quickly melted them with a series of fireballs.
Krys noticed that his movements and attacks had become more panicked and frenzied, not expecting Krys to be this powerful. She had him on the ropes. “Vaati, for your sake, give up.” Krys began, “You know you can’t beat me.”
“No, no, no!!!” Vaati roared, “I won’t let you get the better of me!” Vaati’s eye’s went completely red as he leapt into the air and summoned a giant ball of dark energy, holding it high above him, “I. WON’T. LOSE!!!” Vaati threw it at Krys who didn’t move an inch, not even flinching. “Krys, watch out!!!” Harmonia yelled as she reached out to her. “Time slow.” Krys muttered as she watched time around her. She took a deep breath as she cleared her mind, “Light of Radiance.” Krys lifted her scythe and pointed it at the incoming blast, “I call the light onto me, from sky and space, from land and sea.”
A silver magic sigil appeared at the end of her scythe, aimed at the blast, as Krys continued, “Destroy evils that have awoken. Break the ones who can’t be broken.”
A silver aura began to swirl around Krys as the sigil began to glow brighter and brighter as she continued her incantation, “Enlighten the darkest soul. Form diamonds from the blackest coal. Radiance, destroy the darkest powers, and see the dark forces devoured!”
As time began to speed up again, a large beam of light shot from the sigil and destroyed the blast as it continued forward and hit Vaati, knocking him out of the air. Vaati landed face-first on the ground, groaning in pain as he struggled to push himself off the grass. He went to crawl away but was stopped by a silver scythe blade suddenly appearing in his line of sight, slicing into the earth. Vaati flipped onto his side with a terrified expression, his eyes back to normal, as he saw Krys looking down at him, still in her Silver form, with an unreadable expression. Vaati stared at her with frightened eyes before chuckling darkly, “Ha…haha…go on then. You won’t kill me. I know you. You hate killing. So what now, oh great Silver Mage?”
“…what happened to you, Vaati?” Krys asked, her face still expressionless but a hint of sadness in her voice, “You weren’t this arrogant, hateful person. You were so kind and friendly to everyone.”
“People change, Krys.” Vaati groaned in a mix of pain and frustration, “What do I have to do to get this into your head? That weak and pathetic Vaati is gone! So grow up already!”
“I can see nothing I do will stop you from seeking revenge.” Krys sighed, “I’m sorry, Vaati.” Krys held her hands out in front of her as the marking on her forehead glowed brighter. Silver chains of arcane magic shot out from her hands and wrapped around Vaati before a silver arcane lock appeared on the front and a key briefly appeared in front of Krys before they disappeared. “Wh…what was…?” Vaati stared at Krys, confused. “Do you remember the last spell I showed you before I left?” Krys asked. Vaati just seemed even more confused until a look of realisation and shock crossed his face, “N-no…you didn’t!”
“‘Dispel Sorcery’. A hex that prevents the target from using any form of magic or sorcery until the caster removes it. Until I’m sure I can trust you again and that you won’t hurt another innocent soul.”
“Y-you can’t do this!” Vaati exclaimed, “My magic…I can’t-“
“I can, and I will.” Krys cut Vaati off, “I didn’t want to, though. But you were the one who attacked this kingdom. You were the one who nearly killed Harmonia and Octavo. You brought this on yourself.”
Krys turned away from Vaati before sighing in exhaustion as her form returned to normal and she sunk to her knees. “Krys!” Harmonia and Octavo hurried over to her. “Are you okay?” Harmonia asked as she helped Krys back onto her feet. “Yeah. I’m okay.” Krys smiled weakly, “It’s just been a while since I used my Silver Light form.”
“Silver Light?” Octavo asked. “It’s the spell that caused the scar on my eye. It amplifies my arcane capabilities and allows me to cast spells that would usually be damaging to me if I casted them in this form. The first time I used it, I didn’t cast it properly and it scarred my eye when I used my Radiant Gaze spell.”
Octavo turned to look at Vaati who was desperately trying to cast a spell, but to no avail, “What do we do with him?”
“He’s pretty much harmless now without his magic.” Krys explained, “But I’m sure Princess Zelda has a few choice words for him. Besides…
I have something to ask of her regarding his punishment.”

Harmonia, Octavo & The Silver Mage Finale
Tumblr media
Chapter 6: Happily Ever After...
Harmonia, Octavo and Krys head back to Hyrule Castle to check in with Princess Zelda. With everything now taken care off, it’s time for the Music Festival.
“Is this necessary? I have feet you know.”
“Extremely.”
Krys, Octavo, Harmonia and Vaati approached Hyrule Castle – Harmonia levitating Vaati with her magic to ensure he didn’t try anything. As they entered the castle, Zelda was pacing the floor with a concerned expression on her face. She stopped and looked up upon hearing the four enter and her face lit up, “You’re alright! Thank goodness. I saw storm clouds in the distance, and I got worried.”
“That was me.” Krys admitted, “I may have let my temper get to me for a spell. Pun fully intended.” Zelda giggled at Krys’s joke before noticing Vaati floating behind Harmonia, “And him?”
“I sealed away his magic. He’s harmless.” Krys reassured as Harmonia dismissed the spell, causing Vaati to fall to the floor with a thump. “Ack! Hey!” Vaati growled, glaring at the Symphonyxian princess. “You tried to drop me off a cliff. We’re even.” Harmonia stuck out her tongue. “He did what?!” Zelda exclaimed. “I’ll explain everything.” Krys placed a hand on Zelda’s shoulder, “But for now, I need to talk to you about something important.” Zelda took a deep breath to keep herself calm before turning to Octavo and Harmonia, “Can I trust you two to watch him?”
“Of course.” Harmonia nodded. “I’ll be on my best behaviour.” Octavo smiled innocently as he held his baton behind him and used it to levitate Vaati back into the air before slamming him onto the ground. “Ack! Why you-!” Vaati went to lunge at Octavo. Octavo, who maintained his innocent smile and kept his baton behind him, just sent Vaati flying into the wall. Zelda sighed as she muttered, “Somethings don’t change…” before following Krys into another room.
 ———————————————————————
“What do you think they’re talking about?” Harmonia asked. She and Octavo had been waiting for a good while now while Octavo had Bass Guitarmos watching Vaati to make sure he didn’t do anything but kept shooting glances at Vaati. “Everything alright?” Harmonia asked. “I can’t shake the feeling that I’ve seen him before…” Octavo muttered. “Now that I think about it,” Harmonia began, “You kinda look similar.”
“How so?”
“You both keep your hair over your right eyes, you both have long hair, you both seem to like red and purple, and your collar jewel is even similar to that jewel on his hat!”
“Huh. I guess you’re right.”
“I can hear you both talking about me.” Vaati spoke up as he shuffled a bit away from Bass Guitarmos, “And for the record, I’ve never seen either of you in my life. I’ve only heard you two from the situation three months ago.”
“Ah.” Octavo shrugged, “I guess it’s just me then…”
“And can you please tell your buddy here to back off a bit! I can feel him breathing down my neck.”
“Sure.” Octavo smiled. Bass Guitarmos disappeared, but the four Guitarmos Knights appeared in his place and just surrounded Vaati. “Seriously?” Vaati glared at Octavo who just chuckled.
Harmonia and Octavo turned to the door as they heard it open, Krys and Zelda emerging. “Vaati.” Zelda began, giving the former mage a stern look, “You crossed the line the first time you put the lives of my people at risk. The fact that you did so again over a personal grudge with Krystalite here is unacceptable in any circumstance. And under normal terms, the punishment I would give you would be far worse than any I’ve dealt out during my time as princess. However, since you technically have been punished by Krys stripping you of your powers until she deems you worthy of regaining them, alongside Krys informing me of both of your current…situation, I will tone down your punishment.”
“Situation?” Harmonia muttered as she and Octavo exchanged confused glances. “Your punishment is that you will be kept here in Hyrule and redeem yourself by aiding Harmonia and Octavo here in helping around the kingdom.” Zelda continued, “If anything, I’m being too kind in giving you this as a punishment, but I digress. Unless you feel you deserve a worse punishment, I take it you have no objections.”
Vaati cursed under his breath before sighing in defeat, “Fine.”
“Good.” Zelda nodded before turning to Harmonia and Octavo, “Well, now that all of that is out of the way, Link is currently helping the citizens resume preparations. And I believe you two have work to do in terms of the Music Festival.”
Harmonia giggled as Vaati scampered away from the Guitarmos Knights who were stomping up and down excitedly upon hearing mentions of the festival. Zelda also laughed at the excitable quartet before smiling, “I better let you two get to it. I have a few extra bits to take care of, so I’ll see you tonight.”
“See you then, princess!” Harmonia waved as Zelda retreated into the throne room. “Well, since I’m in charge of the hex I placed on Vaati,” Krys began, “Looks like I’ll be staying in Hyrule for a while.”
“Ooh! We have space at our place!” Harmonia exclaimed excitedly, “You could stay with us!” Krys glanced at Vaati who was behind them with his arms crossed in an x while shaking his head and mouthing, “No! No, no, no!”
“Sure! We’d love to!” Krys grinned. “Yay!” Harmonia cheered. Vaati glared at Krys and mouthed, “I hate you.” Krys just made a heart-shape with her hands before following Harmonia and Octavo out of the castle, Vaati trailing behind.
 ———————————————————————
A crowd of people gathered in front of a large stage outside Hyrule Castle. Harmonia parted the curtain slightly to peek out at the audience. She spotted Link and Zelda sitting in the front row with Krys and a very bored-looking Vaati a few seats away from them.
“Ack! Gohmaracas!”
Harmonia stepped back from the curtains upon hearing Octavo yell. She giggled as she watched Octavo chase a group of Gohmaraca larva across the stage while Gohmaracas looked very proud of herself. “Gohmaracas, I know you love your babies,” Harmonia chuckled, “But can you wait until after the performance to play with them?”
Gohmaracas nodded before shaking her maracas at the babies, who nodded at their mama and scuttled backstage. “Thanks, Harmonia.” Octavo sighed, “I swear, it feels like I’m the parent of these four.”
“Wouldn’t that make the Gohmaraca larva your grandchildren?” Harmonia chuckled. “No! I’m too young to be a grandpa!” Octavo feigned terror before the two ended up laughing together. “I missed this.” Harmonia giggled.
“Missed what?” Octavo asked.
“All of this! Performing together, making dumb jokes together, having all this crazy banter before performances. It feels like forever since we laughed like that.”
“Well, I don’t plan on leaving again anytime soon.” Octavo smiled. Harmonia smiled back, a small blush dusting her cheeks. The moment was interrupted by one of the Gleeokenspiel heads nudging Octavo’s back playfully. “Hey!” Octavo chuckled as he scratched the Gleeokenspiel’s chins before clapping his hands, “Alright, everyone. Places!” The instrumental monsters scampered into position near the back of the stage. Bass Guitarmos stood with his knights, Wizzroboe floated into the air with a happy toot, Gleeokenspiel stood next to him with their tail held high at the ready, and Gohmaracas raised her maracas high with excitement. Octavo and Harmonia stood centre stage – Octavo facing his monsters and Harmonia facing the curtains. “Ready, m’lady?” Octavo smiled. “Ready, maestro!” Harmonia grinned. A cheer erupted from the audience as the curtains opened. Octavo tapped his baton on his stand, getting the attention of his monsters and the audiences before looking at Harmonia for the go-ahead. Harmonia gave him a confirming nod before gazing out to the audience as Octavo began to wave his baton, getting the monsters to play as Harmonia began to sing.
“Here we are in the future. Here we are in the future and it's bright! Nothing to fear, No one to fight. I can't believe we've come so far. Happily ever after there we were, And here we are!   So happily we'll face, Whatever comes our way, And after, we might do it all again!   I’ll be ready every day, For as long as I can say, I~ I can make a change… I~ I can make a change… I~ I can make a change!   Here we are in the future! Here we are in the future! Here we are in the future! Here we are in the future! Here we are, Here we are, Come so far! And it's bright, And it's bright, And it's bright, And it's bright, And it's bright, And it's bright!   I'll be ready every day! For as long as I can say, Here I am in the future with my friends! That's why…   Happily ever after never ends.”
A round applause erupted from the crowd as Harmonia and Octavo stood together and took a bow as the curtains closed. As the champions excitedly gathered together, engaging in banter, Octavo and Harmonia looked at each other with a smile before Harmonia leapt at Octavo in a hug and Octavo swung her around a few times before placing her on the ground, still holding her, as they laughed. “You were great!” Octavo and Harmonia accidentally said in unison before bursting into laughter again. “We haven’t changed a bit since back then, have we?” Octavo chuckled. “Nope! We’re still a couple of crazies!” Harmonia grinned. “And I wouldn’t change it for anything.” Octavo smiled as he held her close. Harmonia could feel her heart beating rapidly in her chest. ‘Now or never…’ she thought to herself as she leaned back a bit before kissing Octavo, her eyes closing as her sleeves rested on Octavo’s cheeks. Octavo was surprised at first before wrapping his arms around Harmonia and leaning into the kiss. The two slowly pulled away before briefly meeting each other’s gaze. Harmonia hugged Octavo tightly before saying, her voice barely above a whisper, “Love you, Tavo.”
Octavo chuckled as he held her close, “I love you too, Harmonia.”
 ‘Happily ever after never ends…’
The End.
...for now...

Character Sheets
Here are some reference sheets from the story project I’m working on over at @askharmonia.
Tumblr media
Krystalite ‘Krys’ Ginmaho
Krys is a Gemonyk, a rare species of powerful mages, herself being one of the strongest of them all. Krys is charming and sweet with an optimistic outlook on life. While she is a powerful sorceress, her preferred spells are childish and prankish in nature, reflecting her carefree spirit. Despite her young age and laid-back attitude, Krys is very wise when it comes to magic and is always eager to learn a new spell or two. But in spite of all of this, it is rumoured that her anger is something to behold and to fear if you’re on the receiving end. While some believe her title of Silver Mage come’s from her eye colour, it also comes from the silver scar over her left eye. It is said that the scar formed when Krys was learning one of her most powerful spells, ‘Silver Gaze’. The amount of power in the spell was so great, it left a scar. Krys has been known to travel from kingdom to kingdom in search of new magic to learn. From Hyrule to even the Minish World, Krys has seen many things throughout her young life, and even now she is still learning new things everyday.

Vaati
Vaati is selfish and self-serving, seeking only to fulfill his personal desires. Having been corrupted by learning of the evil within the hearts of men, he instinctively seeks power. Vaati's personality is that of self-servitude, cruelty, arrogance and a desire for power. Vaati was once a Minish and was made the apprentice to the Minish sage Ezlo when he was a child. During his time under Ezlo, he grew close to the travelling mage Krys. The two would share the spells they learnt and became close friends. However, Krys suddenly stopped visiting the Minish world, leading Vaati to believe that she had forgotten about him. When Ezlo fashioned a powerful cap that could grant wishes as a gift for the Hylians, Vaati stole the cap when his master was away. He then used the cap to grant his wish to become a powerful sorcerer, transforming into a Hylian-like form. After being defeated by Link, Vaati turned his sights onto getting revenge on someone else...

Vaatys
Vaatys is a being brought into existance by Vaati and Krys, after Krys learned the fusion spell from Harmonia and Octavo. Vaatys is witty, sarcastic and a little stubborn. In terms of arcane ability, Vaatys is stronger than their fusers combined, using spells from both Vaati and Krys and even some new spells of their own, including the ‘Silver Storm’ spell - a spell that summons a storm of silver lightning - which is how they gave themself the title of ‘Storm Mage’. Vaatys is cocky and overly confident, which leads them to get in over their head easily. Vaatys is a bit selfish, but will aid others as long as it’s in their own interests.

CoH: Divine Quartet AU
Tumblr media
((Just a little thing that I thought about. Inspired by @double-octavo‘s Major Octavo AU))
25 years have passed after the events of ‘Cadence of Hyrule’ and ‘Harmonia, Octavo & the Silver Mage’, and everyone remembers the heroic battle between Ganon and the five heroes that slayed him - Cadence, Link, Zelda, Yves, and Princess Harmonia. So Ganon shouldn’t be a problem right?
Our heroes couldn’t have been more wrong...as not even the future is set in stone.
A young Ganondorf had heard of the deeds of Octavo and the five heroes. Upon becoming Ganon, he shattered the Triforce into pieces and scattered them across the land. Unable to defeat Ganon without the Triforce, Link and Zelda have set off to find the shattered pieces. But they can’t leave Ganon alone to take over Hyrule Castle, right? Therefore, Zelda decided to assemble a group of powerful individuals from 25 years ago, who she named the Divine Quartet.
Queen Harmonia the Dark: the now grown-up Harmonia rules over Symphonyxia as its queen, using many types of magic to protect her kingdom from monsters and is a powerful sorceress.
Major Octavo the Undaunted: Octavo, now skilled in music, arcane and swordsmanship, serves not only as the general of the Symphonyxian Royal Guard, but as king to Symphonyxia, ruling alongside Harmonia.
Krys the Silver Mage: the ever famous Silver Mage travels across the land learning and teaching magic wherever she goes. Of course, she still visits Hyrule the odd time during the past 25 years.
Vaati the Wind Mage: no longer a threat to Hyrule, Vaati travels alongside Krys to not only make up for his past mistakes, but to learn more about magic and how to utilise his own abilities for the good of others.
Zelda tasked these four to make sure Ganon doesn’t bring Hyrule to its knees during their quest to find the Triforce pieces. While they may still be as oddly matched as they were 25 years ago, they are stronger than before and ready for anything!
...at least they hope so...

CoH: Harmonia, Octavo & The Silver Mage Teaser
Hi all! The first part of ‘Harmonia, Octavo & The Silver Mage’ is almost ready for release! Plus, I’ve noticed that a lot of you have guessed who one of the mysterious characters are from the previous teasers. So I’m here to confirm...
Tumblr media
Vaati is in ‘Harmonia, Octavo & The Silver Mage’!!!
Everyone’s favourite grape (next to Octavo) will be in the story! But the question still remains: who is the mysterious silhouette in the second teaser? Who is ‘The Silver Mage’? Well...I suppose I could tell you. But I’m sure some of you don’t want spoilers, so I’ll put them under the cut! So for those who want to be spoiler free, I’ll see you soon!
- @gamingotaku2019, creator of the Ask Harmonia blog.
So you want to meet the Silver Mage early, eh?
Alright, let’s meet them then!
Tumblr media
Meet Krystalite ‘Krys’ Ginmaho, the Silver Mage. Krys is a Gemonyk, a rare species of powerful mages, herself being one of the strongest of them all. Krys is charming and sweet with an optimistic outlook on life. While she is a powerful spellcaster, her preferred spells are childish and prankish in nature, reflecting her carefree spirit. From Hyrule to even the Minish World, Krys has seen many things throughout her young life, and even now she is still learning everyday.
I hope you all are looking forward to meeting Krys in ‘Harmonia, Octavo & The Siver Mage’! There is so much more I want to tell you about this little mage, but I don’t want to spoil the story!
See you soon, everyone!

Harmonia, Octavo & The Silver Mage Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Chapter 2: Other Friends.
Octavo and Harmonia encounter Krys, a Gemonyk known as the Silver Mage - a powerful sorceress who has studied nearly every kind of magic. But not soon after their encounter, they meet another mage who isn’t as friendly. Who is he and why does he have a vendetta against Harmonia, Octavo and Hyrule?
‘What did she say about me? What did she say? What did you do without me? What did you do? Did you play games without me? What did you play? Did you think all this time that I wouldn't find out about you? Oh that's right I heard the story over and over again! Gee, it's swell to finally meet her,  Other Friends.’
Octavo and Harmonia stood outside the cave in Hyrule Forest with Krys. “Krys is a Gemonyk.” Harmonia explained, stars in her eyes, “They’re a race of powerful mages and spell casters. And Krys is the strongest and most known of them – the Silver Mage. She knows nearly every type of magic there is.”
“Ah, I don’t know about strongest.” Krys laughed, sheepishly scratching the back of her neck, “I mean, there’s still many types of magic I haven’t mastered. Like Symphonyxian magic! It’s hard to master that type of magic if you’re not of Symphonyxian origin. And don’t get me started on its dark counterpart.” Krys squinted at Harmonia for a moment, “Actually…I know you! You’re Soloria’s kid! Harmonia the Dark, right? I heard about you from my last trip to Symphonyxia!” Harmonia nodded. Krys turned to Octavo, “And that must make you Octavo.”
“Pleasure to meet you.” Octavo smiled. “So what brings you to Hyrule?” Harmonia asked. “I travel all over.” Krys began, “But Hyrule’s always been my home-away-from-home. And when I heard there was a festival going on, I just had to come visit!” Krys seemed to cut herself off as she seemed to realise something, “Wait a sec…gyah! I forgot! I told Zelda I’d check in with her when I got here! I got distracted by those cuccos! I’ll see you two at the festival, right?”
“Sure!” Harmonia smiled. “Cool!” Krys clicked her fingers and a portal opened behind her, “See you guys later!” Krys hopped into the portal.
“Well she’s spritely!” Octavo chuckled. “She’s the coolest.” Harmonia added, “I’ve only heard stories of her, but I never thought I’d meet her in person!”
“I wonder what other types of magic she knows.” Octavo wondered before shaking his head, “We better head back to the festival…if Gleeokenspiel hasn’t wrecked everything.”
“Have a little faith in them, Tavo!”
“I did, and I ended up being stuck on a giant four-headed glockenspiel dragon that was hell-bent on catching a mouse.”
Harmonia chuckled and was about to respond but was cut off by the gentle summer breeze suddenly turning into a gust of wind, “Urgh! Where did this wind come from? Is Wizzroboe here?”
“No.” Octavo replied, shielding his face from the wind, “I don’t know what this is!” Before they could react to anything else, a sinister laugh echoed around them, “Well, well, well. Look who we have here. The music sorcerer who nearly destroyed Hyrule in an attempt to ‘save’ it, and the little princess who helped put an end to it.”
“Who’s there?!” Harmonia called out. The wind began to die down as a small tornado appeared in front of Octavo and Harmonia. “To be honest, I’m almost glad you saved Hyrule!” The tornado disappeared to reveal a figure in front of them. He had pale lavender skin, red eyes – one of which was covered by long lavender hair – with a strange mark under the left eye. He wore periwinkle, red and gold robes and an indigo cloak and hat. He had a smirking expression as he glanced between the two Symphonyxians, “Because now I can destroy it myself.”
“Who are you supposed to be?” Octavo growled, whipping out his magic baton, as Harmonia had two magic sigils at the ready. “She didn’t mention me? Tch, figures. Guess she really DID forget.” The figure muttered, “Well, you might as well know the name of your demise. I am Vaati, the Wind Mage. And I’ve heard about you two and the events of three months ago. If I am to succeed with my plan, I must destroy Hyrule. Therefore I can’t risk you two getting in the way. It’s bad enough I’ll have to deal with that little brat and the princess again. Oh well…” Vaati summoned a ball of energy in his hand, “Believe me, this is nothing personal. Actually, no. This IS personal. After all, you were one of the nobodies of this nowhere kingdom who took away my best friend!”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Octavo interrupted, “There has to be a mistake! We didn’t take-”
“Shut it!!!” Vaati shouted, “It doesn’t matter. For now at least. I just need to make sure my plan goes smoothly. Now...to stone with you!!!” Vaati lobbed the ball of energy towards Octavo and Harmonia, but Harmonia threw down a gold sigil that summoned a wall of golden light that blocked the spell before disappearing. “Is that all you have?” Octavo smirked. “No but thank you for asking!” Vaati grinned as he summoned a series of fireballs and launched them at the two magic users. “Fireballs? Child’s play!” Octavo launched a series of fireballs from his baton to counter Vaati’s. “My turn!” Harmonia smiled, summoning a new sigil, “Blinding Crescendo!” A beam of light shot from the sigil at lightning speed, growing bigger as it travelled before hitting Vaati dead on, the light blinding him for a second. “Sounds like you hit a flat note!” Octavo announced as green energy shot from the baton, forming a large green mallet above Vaati, who barely managed to dodge out of the way in time. “Heh. Not bad.” Vaati smirked. “Why thank you. When it comes to magic, I’m awfully ‘sharp’!” Octavo grinned as the green energy turned purple and the mallet shifted into a number of purple swords. Vaati tried to dodge past the incoming blades, but one of them managed to graze his arm. Vaati grabbed his arm in pain. Harmonia took this as an opportunity and summoned a number of sigils in front of her, “Molto vivace!” A flurry of lightning-fast beams of light struck Vaati one after the other. “Urgh! Alright, that does it!” Vaati growled as a swirling vortex of wind surrounded Octavo and Harmonia as Vaati hovered above them on a gust of wind, “I have work to do, and I’m not letting you interfere! Now die!!!” Vaati lobbed a giant fireball at the duo.
 “Batter up!”
In the blink of an eye, Vaati saw his fireball come shooting back towards him, barely missing the Wind Mage. Vaati glared down only to see three figures now instead of two. There was Krys holding a purple baseball bat made of magic. “What? Baseball not your thing? How about ‘Bats up’ then?” Krys grinned as she tossed the baseball bat into the air, which turned into a flock of bats that began to swarm around Vaati, who tried to swat them away. “Hey! Why did the Silver Mage throw butter out the window? To see a butter-fly!” Krys summoned a large brick of butter with butterfly wings that flew right into Vaati’s face. “Ok, that’s funny!” Harmonia laughed. Vaati growled, “So you haven’t matured I see.”
“And you lost your sense of humour!” Krys fired back, “I don’t blame you. My jokes tend to stink!” And with that, Krys blew out of her mouth and a pungent green cloud drifted towards Vaati. “Agh! That stinks!!” Vaati exclaimed. “Sorry!” Krys giggled, “Here! I have a spell that’ll blow you away!” Krys summoned a giant propeller that blew away the cloud and nearly Vaati, but he managed to fight against the wind. “Don’t like it? No problem! I already have three huge fans!” Krys grins as she summons two more propellers that managed to send Vaati flying backwards. “We need to go before he comes back!” Krys clicked her fingers and a portal opened again, “Come on!” Krys grabbed Harmonia and Octavo by the arms and pulled them into the portal.
Next thing they knew, they were in the middle of Hyrule Castle. Zelda rushed over to the three, Link by her side, “Is everyone alright?”
“Shaken a little.” Harmonia began, “But we’re okay. Krys saved us.”
“It was as I thought.” Krys began, an expression that was a mix of concern and seriousness on her face, “Vaati’s here.”
“I was afraid you would say that.” Zelda sighed.  “Wait. You know him, Krys?” Octavo asked, a look of surprise on his face. “More than that.” Krys replied.
 “I’m the reason he’s here.”

Harmonia, Octavo & The Silver Mage Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: Here We Are In The Future!
Three months after Cadence returned to her own world, peace has been restored to Hyrule (more or less) and the Music Festival is fast approaching. So of course Harmonia, Octavo and his champions would be helping out in preparation for the festivities! But things take a turn for the weird and cuccos get involved.
‘Here we are in the future. Here we are in the future and it’s bright. Nothing to fear, no one to fight. I can’t believe we’ve come so far. Happily ever after, Here we are!’
Three months ago, a sorcerer of music named Octavo came to Hyrule. Upon learning of Hyrule’s fall at the hand of Ganon 25 years into the future, he took fate into his own hands. He bewitched the king of Hyrule and tried to steal the Triforce, splitting it into three in the process. He used the Triforce of Power, alongside the Threads of Power, Wisdom and Courage, to enchant his lute, turning it into a magical Golden Lute. With this power, he sealed Hyrule Castle, forced the people of Hyrule to follow a rhythm, summoned an army of monsters, and forced Princess of Hyrule, Zelda, and Hero of Hyrule, Link into a deep slumber. He also placed various Instruments deep within the dungeons of Hyrule to prepare Four Champions who could combat Ganon upon his arrival in the future. But when all seemed lost, two new lights shone in the darkness. Cadence, daughter of a famous treasure hunter, was summoned from another world by the Triforce. Alongside her arrived Dark Princess Harmonia, heiress to the throne of Symphonyxia and Octavo’s childhood friend and sweetheart, who had come searching for the sorcerer after being forbidden from seeing him again by her mother, Queen Soloria. The two banded together to awaken Zelda and Link, and with the help of a friendly Deku Scrub named Yves, the five heroes defeated Octavo and his champions before travelling to the future to defeat Ganon, ensuring peace and harmony for the kingdom. After returning Cadence to her world with the power of the now restored Triforce, Octavo, who had been defeated by Ganon prior, approached Link, Zelda and Harmonia. He apologised for his actions, now realising the error of his ways and how he could now see he could have never defeated Ganon alone and promised to make up for his deeds by aiding in the restoration of Hyrule back in the present. Zelda accepted Octavo’s apology and Harmonia offered to assist Octavo in repairing Hyrule. Peace was restored to the kingdom…but not for long. For when one story ends, another begins…
 “Just a little higher, Wizzroboe!”
“*Toot-toot!*”
The sun was shining down on the kingdom of Hyrule. Bunting and banners among other decorations could be found in every corner of the land as the Music Festival quickly approached. Harmonia was being held in the air by Wizzroboe, one of Octavo’s champions, as she hung up bunting outside of Hyrule Castle, “Aaaaand…got it!” Wizzroboe floated back down to the ground and gently set the princess on the ground. “Thanks, buddy!” Harmonia gave Wizzroboe’s feathers a friendly ruffle. Wizzroboe let out a series of happy toots in response.
“ROAR!!! *TING, TING, TING, TING!!!*”
”LOOK OUT! I’M SORRY! GYAH! SLOW DOWN!!!”
Harmonia and Wizzroboe jumped in surprise as they saw a small mouse go scurrying by, followed by Octavo helplessly holding onto Gleeokenspiel as they went bounding after it. “Not again…” Harmonia sighed before letting out a whistle, getting Gleeokenspiel’s attention, as she summoned four rubber balls, “C’mere you four!”
Tail happily banging on the tiles of their back, Gleeokenspiel bounded towards Harmonia before skidding to a halt, causing Octavo to go flying off. Harmonia caught him with relative ease as Gleeokenspiel began playing with the rubber balls, “I always said I’d never let you down, Tavo.”
“Ha-ha.” Octavo rolled his eyes playfully as Harmonia set him down, “How come they always listen to you, but never me? I was the one who created them.”
“With the magic baton I made and gave you.” Harmonia added with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.
“Touché.”
The two shared a laugh before Harmonia spoke up, “Anyway, I’m finished setting up the decorations here, so wanna take a break?”
“Yes please. I’ve had enough excitement for one day already.” Octavo sighed before turning to Gleeokenspiel, “No causing trouble you four. And keep your heads on! I don’t want to have to go all over Hyrule on a wild Gleeokenspiel chase.”
Gleeokenspiel let out a series of purrs and dings in response as they watched the two Symphonyxians head off.
 ———————————————————————
 “Ah~ Much better!”
Harmonia sighed as she plopped herself down on a log in Hyrule Forest, Octavo following suit. “It’s almost odd being able to walk through here without having to worry about any monsters roaming about.” Octavo smiled, “I’m glad things turned out for the better.”
The two sat in comfortable silence for a moment before Harmonia piped up, “Huh…?”
“Is something the matter, Harmonia?”
“Do you hear something?”
“No…wait, yes. What is that?”
The two heard fast-paced footsteps coming their way. They turned around to see a figure running towards them. The figure had lavender skin, and dark purple and plum hair. They also wore purple and plum robes with matching shoes and black leggings. The figure came to a brief halt in front of the two musicians with an expression that screamed ‘I messed up! I messed up bad!!!’. Harmonia and Octavo could make out more details of the figure now. The figure was female and had bright sliver eyes with four-pointed-star-shaped pupils, a silver diamond shape on her forehead, pointed ears, and a silver scar over her left eye. She was quite out of breath, but managed to get out, “If anyone asks, we were doing anything EXCEPT angering vicious birds, ok? Ok! Now run!!!” and took off running again.
“What…?”
Before Octavo could finish his sentence, the two heard the sound of angry clucking from where the figure had come from. Harmonia and Octavo’s eyes went wide when they saw what she had been running from.
“CUCCOS!!!”
A flock of extremely agitated cuccos were flocking in their direction. Harmonia and Octavo took off running in the same direction as the mysterious figure before being suddenly pulled into a nearby cave. “Shh!” They heard the voice of the figure hush as the cuccos when flying past. A few moments after the cuccos went by and everything was silent again, the figure burst out laughing. “Hahahaha!!! Oh Goddesses, that was not the result I was expecting!” she laughed, “Note-to-self: Never ‘Mass-Multiply’ a cucco! It will not end well!” The figure turned to Octavo and Harmonia after recovering from her laughing fit, “Sorry you had to be dragged into that! I honestly thought that cucco would’ve liked having more buddies, but I guess I spooked ‘em. You guys aren’t hurt, are you?”
Octavo shook his head, “A little surprised, but not hurt.”
“Ah, good!” she sighed in relief. Harmonia squinted at the figure before her eyes went wide, “Are you…who I think you are?”
“Well, I’m not sure!” she grinned, “I know a bunch of spells, but I’m still working on mind-reading. But hey, I’ll give it a shot! You think…I’m the Silver Mage, right?”
Harmonia gasped in awe, “You are, aren’t you?! Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!”
“Am I missing something? Because I’m lost.” Octavo raised an eyebrow in confusion. “Allow me to introduce myself.” The figure smiled, doing a small curtsy,
“I am the Silver Mage of Gemonykai, Krystalite Ginmaho. But you can call me Krys.”
