This Joker is Jeremiah
Not like actually, but he's an even closer match than The Criminal
Impressively high IQ, kid genius, considers himself an artist, Harleen's psychological profile is almost identical to the one I made for Jeremiah, they have the same look in their eyes (I don't know how to explain that one, but I swear I took one look at him and all I could see in those cold blue eyes was Jeremiah), made what I would consider a "battery bomb from Hell" in the GCPD basement.
I swear to y'all, the biggest difference is that this Joker has Jerome's haircut and wears all leather. Other than that he IS Jeremiah.
Buuuuut this comic doesn't really follow the established canon so....
#Harley's backstory is WAYYYYYYY different in this comic than literally any of the other versions I've seen#Like there are some variations in the details but everyone usually follows the same story#And it's usually something along the lines of Dr. Quinzel took interest in his case and fell in love while trying to put together report#From there things get *really* dicey but usually she breaks him out of Arkham and sometimes goes and jumps/gets pushed into The Vat™#(our Harley Quinn fictive has her own version of that which she insists is the truth but tbf every version of Harley insists that so....)#But in this comic she was first introduced to The Joker after he killed her wife#And she's been working with the GCPD as a consultant on the Joker murders basically ever since#They took her from Clarice Starling and turned her into Will Graham XD#^^^easiest way for me to explain the difference in backstory#Joker is obviously Hannibal in this analogy.#And Detective Gordon is Jack#He literally tried to get Harleen to go see The Nutcracker with him and his wife so that she would “get into the Christmas spirit”#Tell me Jack wouldn't try to drag Will to some stupid Christmas thing with him and Bella. Or at least get Alanna to do it.#idle speaks#I cannot stop comparing things to Hannibal omg
