i’m so obsessed with that tiny smile will gives hannibal after he asks him if killing randall was like killing him. first of all i think its brillant acting and it takes great control to lift your mouth just so but not the rest of your face. hannibal (mads) usually does that. but its also so telling of will’s new state of mind…. back in s1 when hannibal asked will if killing hobbs felt good, will was trembling. he whispered "i liked killing hobbs", but in this scene below he whispers "i’ve never felt as alive as i did when i was killing him". the first one is said like an admission, like he was so ashamed of it but doctor.lecter asked him about his terrible secret and it felt good to say a secret out loud, but the second one is said like a revelation about himself. he’s marvelling in the thrill of killing, and he isn’t ashamed of it. he’s more dazzled by how good it felt than how shameful he should be feeling. and hannibal’s answer to that is helping him compose the corpse into a tableau in the museum for everyone to see. for everyone to see how good it made will feel to kill and how he isn’t scared of it anymore
