One kimono takes around 20 artisans over six months to make, and it can cost over $10,000. We followed the process of creating a handmade kimono, step-by-step, to find out what makes these garments so expensive.

So this kimono was made for my sisters plushie And oh boy was it hard. Tbh I didn't expected it. Like I was thinking it would take me 2 weeks max. Wrong xdddd I had to improvised on some parts and do it in "my style" so it looks little bit wonky. You can see the stitching and etc. But on the end I think I did a good job. Plus it was something out of my comfort zone. It has different cuts and I worked with different materials.... Patter for kimono by: @sewdesune

タンスの肥やしがやっと「何か」に！😆 骨董市で買い溜めた着物地の端切れ。やっとセードボーン（スタンド傘の骨組み）を購入して、ランプシェードを製作しました。 これは以前どこかで見たものをお手本にしたんだけど、実はブレードや縁の部分はもう去年に買っといたんですよねー。 自宅使いなので実物は粗だらけですが、まだ端切れはたくさんあるので、また挑戦したいなぁ…。次回作るとしたら、裏に接着芯をつけた方が良さそう。あと縁はもう少し厚手にして縫い留めたいところですなぁ…😌
