Rolando Deluxe due to bring the epic adventure to Linux
Rolando Deluxe puzzle platformer game is due to make its way onto Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Which is the result of the work and effort from developer HandCircus. Working to make its way onto Steam. If you've ever swiped your screen in delight while managing a small animated character, you might remember the iconic Rolando. This was one of the pioneers that transformed the iPhones into epic adventures and challenges. It's back and not just on small screens, but bursting onto Steam for Linux with the dazzling Rolando Deluxe edition. Hard to believe it’s been 15 years since we first got our hands on it. The brains behind this, HandCircus, the indie studio that has given us so many good times, has decided to gift us again. They didn't just settle for a basic remaster, though. They are overhauling the whole game. The bright, vibrant universe of Rolando, has a level of detail and beauty that makes it stand out more than ever. Level redesigns, yes. Plus a complete rethink on how to make it feel fresh for today's platforms.

And honestly, It sounds like they’ve nailed it. Rolando Deluxe, as the name suggests, promises to be the definitive experience of the universe. Rolando: Royal Edition
[ iOS / 2019 / HandCircus ]
This remastered version of Rolando brings back one of the earliest iPhone hits and improves on it for modern audiences. The puzzle platformer tasks players with guiding the Rolandos around a series of increasingly complex leves by tilting their smartphone. They can move their as a group, or touch and drag to select groups, introducing some strategy when it comes to solving the puzzles. Each Rolando has different abilities and personalities, from the king who is always napping to the spiky commandos that can roll up walls. Levels are split into four worlds, and there’s even a storyline connecting them all, as the Rolandos seek to escort the royal family to safety and liberate their kingdom from the little shadow creatures. The game’s light-hearted tone comes across in everything from the visuals and music to the puzzles that find Rolandos trampolining and catapulting their way through each level.

Okabu is a PlayStation 3 Indie developed PlayStation Network download game you likely haven't played or heard of and thanks to the abysmal store redesign a few years back, you likely don't even know it's on there. While at first glance you might think this is a Japanese made game it in fact comes from a United Kingdom developer studio called HandCircus.
Okabu is a truly unique game, the heroes the Cloud Whales have an eco theme and use bright, bold and colourful character design. Where as the Doza's the villains in this tale use a very different more menacing and grim look with an industrial theme. Gameplay wise it's a mixture of puzzle, adventure, platforming with the handling of a racing game for the whales. It sounds a bit odd, but plays really well, the game also includes online leader boards and couch co-op play. Very much a title for all the family to play together and enjoy. It's hard to fault and if you own a PS3, we highly recommend this title. The African theme music is a real treat to listen to as this style of music in video games is often rarely used.

‘Rolando: Royal Edition’, a Complete Remake of the Original iOS Classic ‘Rolando’, Is Launching on the App Store on April 4th
After ten years, over 500 published articles for TouchArcade, and having to endure a week of excruciating teasing from the HandCircus Twitter account, I’m delighted to be able to finally be able to type those three sacred and previously elusive words – Rolando is back! 3,735 days after we claimed the first entry in the series was ‘amongst the best games the App Store has to offer’, HandCircus…

Heyo folks, here’s today’s gameplay video. In this one, I’m playing a family friendly co-op puzzle game called Okabu by HandCircus Ltd.
You control a pair of cloud whales (They’re ancient beings who are whales made of clouds” who travel to earth(?) to fight pollution. The premise reminded me of Captain Planet (Which shows how old I am lol).
It’s a pretty neat game overall though and it certainly fits my current video theme (Unique lol). It’s graphics also hold up incredibly well for a PS3 game but cartoon/anime styled graphics usually hold up the best in the long run either way.
I don’t have very many videos in this genre yet, but you can find my other puzzle based gameplays here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsK6ALkViVPDm1Fn1Zbjg0N0ih5jq-_9Z

Handcircus hits back with vintage iOS game Ronaldo
New Post has been published on https://www.blockinspect.com/uncategorized/handcircus-hits-back-with-vintage-ios-game-ronaldo/
Handcircus hits back with vintage iOS game Ronaldo
One of the most vintage games in iOS’s gaming portfolio is Ronaldo. It was built on the device’s touchscreen and accelerometer technology.
The game has remained lost for years owing to update issues and other drawbacks. Interestingly, developer Handcircus revealed that it will launch a completely new version of the game soon under the name of Ronaldo: Royal Edition.
Handcircus tweeted, “We are super excited to announce ROLANDO : ROYAL EDITION! A lovingly remastered version of the iPhone classic. Pre-order now for 1/3 off at http://rolandogame.com! RT’S much appreciated!!
Apart from being a regular update in terms of coding, the game will now run on a completely new engine with 60 fps on all devices. Handcircus will also incorporate considerable changes in terms of graphics and design.
Being one of the first flagship games in the iOS, Ronaldo actually earned Apple the credibility as a gaming device. The game is now again available for pre order in the iOS App Store at a discounted price of $1.99. It is set to be officially released on 3rd April at a price of $5.99. Originally, when Ronaldo was first released on 2008, it costed a whopping $9.99. Indeed hefty for a mobile game!
It would be interesting to note, how the remastered version appeals to the users.
