Top 10 Eliza's? Has anything changed?

So the last time I answered this question was two years ago and obviously currently the only Hamilton production open is Australia but lots of Elizas have come and go in two years.

Like I have my girls that I LOVE and Chloé really just came through today and invaded. INVADED without my permission. She said I was born to play this role. I said okay, take your place. And then there’re people who make all the right choices in my book and I just love them all.

What did you think of finally seeing Ta’Rea and Nyla?

I really liked Nyla a lot. Her Peggy was cute and I wish there was more for that character to see her in. And I really loved her Maria as well. 

Ta’Rea was sort of hit or miss at moments, most of the time I liked her. I could hear her holding back in Satisfied and that kinda stinks but I know she has to sometimes for her voice health sake. But there were weird moments she would almost like, change her voice and I didn’t like that at all. She stuck her hand up in Alexander’s face in Reynolds Pamphlet and I liked that little thing a lot lol.

He wasn’t my favorite. I definitely wouldn’t say I hate him and I have Aaron Burrs I like less than him. Sifiso is definitely better to me though and I’m glad he got to take over for the second year.

☕️ Hamilton West End main cast

Not my favorite. But like that’s not saying they’re bad as a group, I just like others better in pretty much every role. 

Jamael and Sifiso are both good enough. I prefer one of Jamael’s understudies but he’s still really good. 

Rachelle is a trainwreck and has been we all know my opinion on her. Allyson is also. Not great sadly. 

Courtney I like quite a bit, she had big shoes to fill for me with Christine leaving but she’s my favorite of the three gals now. 

Dom is also like. Fine. He’s not bad, he’s just not someone who stands out for me when I think of people who have played GW

Jason is my favorite of the other three mens. Tarinn and Cleve are both just *shrug* for me but most men who play those characters are. 

Jon is good but I preferred Michael and no one will ever be Rory.

What would you think of Sara Bareilles as Angelica. Also Lea Michele as Eliza is something I wanna see. I’d love to see more Hollywoodish people come into Hamilton what do you think?

I feel like this question is a joke.

Considering Sara and Lea are both white. Let’s not. 

I’m not really into bringing actors from Hollywood just because they’re from Hollywood. But if we’re going to bring any in let’s talk about some POC. 

I’d love Anika Noni Rose to come back to Angelica. 

Give Auli’i Cravalho a couple more years and maybe some stage experience and I’d love to see her as either Eliza or Peggy/Maria

not a POC but I’d actually like James Corden as King George should the opportunity ever present itself.

I saw your post in the tags that said you were crying for no reason so I hope you feel better 💞💞💞 to get you distracted, can you rank the current Hamilton’s from favourite to least favourite btw I 100% know that “least favourite” doesn’t mean you dislike them but since you’re someone who listens to so many different audios I’m assuming you probably have a good idea as to who fits your idea of Hamilton better 🤗

yeah in like the chillest way possible I’ve been absolutely miserable for about a week now so I’m waiting for that to be over.

Miguel Cervantes and Joseph Morales are both #1 for me. 

the others all are sort of like could go either way. I haven’t heard recent audio of Julius so I’m not sure how he is coming into being the head of a company.

oh will you explain why you don’t think a hamilton movie would work? i’m interested to know what you think

Being sung-through is one of the first issues, it makes it harder to move on to the next scene and to make it not seem weird. Dialogue would definitely need to be added and I don’t want or need that, the way it’s written is how I think it should be. 

I also think the choreography is such an important part of the show and you’re not going to have the same vibe from it in the movie or even the same choreography because I’m sure it would have to change. 

Then there’s the issues of the ensemble (and the rest of the cast in the first and last song) whose costumes were designed to act as parchment which I’m sure would be gone in a movie. 

The Bullet? almost definitely would be gone. so I don’t want anything where Jennifer Geller isn’t being amazing as The Bullet anyways.

Do you think that Lexi approved during her Ham run at all?

so if you haven’t heard of a bell curve, here’s one. 

This is pretty much how I feel about her improvement and then not. 

I would say that her fall ended up way worse than where she started off though because she just got comfortable/lazy. The like beginning of her run audios of her she’s still figuring out how she’s playing Eliza and it’s not bad she’s just still figuring it out. I never think she was like incredible but she definitely improved so I can’t say no. She actually had some like great shows from audios I heard, I think like earlyish 2017 I really liked one I can’t remember the exact date but she was great. But towards the end when she just showed up and decided that was enough she was way worse than she was in the beginning. so really I guess it would look more like this.

I know you don't like Hannah or Emmy's hairstyles, but what do you think of Miriam's?

Still don’t love it but it was more put together than either of theirs really was (not any more than Emmy’s act 2 hair though). Would rather something else.

What do you think about Jamael Westman’s hamilton?

I love him. I think he was good from the beginning but he’s really made the role his own while staying true to the character.
