Fun fact! While Hades in ki:u has a very weird design, it is actually possible to deduce what his skin is and what his clothing is. For those who struggle with it like I once did, I've highlighted all of his body in blue and kept his clothes unhighlighted.

Ok so if you clicked read more WELCOME this is a LOT of thoughts coming at you so like:

•Rankings are approximate, and not commentary on anything in terms of actual character analysis. I am not comparing the crimes, actual or social, of these characters in a serious way

•Samus was originally in the center and then I was like "no. No she's more creature than that."

•also shout-out to Sablegear0 for the fic line around the lines of "nice humans not say they nice" and that's what I was thinking about.

•Some of the Bastard rankings are for crimes and some are vibes. Some are both!

•For example, Stan has an immense criminal record! MB tried to kill all humans.

•Meanwhile, Bill Cipher is a Bastard AND a criminal! I hate him he's great.

•Goro Akechi is a mess that needs like. A good friend and therapy and some self-discovery. He also committed crimes but I think he'd do better outside of jail.

•That Appletun is George, he's my apple son, I love him, I hold him gently, that IS my art from like 2020 don't worry about the horns it's a long story

•I know Shy Guys are villains but. No they aren't.

•Good news, I would trust like all of the men here with my drink? With a few OBVIOUS EXCEPTIONS.

Ok actually that needs an elaboration. Obvious exceptions are the two in The Pit and Ridley Metroid because I don't. No I don't trust them.

As for the rest, trust reasons: two are below the age of 16, Ren supports women's rights AND wrongs don't at me, Akechi I don't think I would ever approach because Oh No He Needs Therapy but for background and general vibes reasons I think he would fight someone trying to do anything. Zagreus gives me similar vibes to Ren even though Greek Mythology but like just I don't I don't think.

Ford is a great uncle and would also fight someone. Same with Stan, and I went back and forth on this but landed on the great uncle point but also he would just steal the drink. And that's funny.

•Adam Malkovich exists but he's a computer he can't hold anything. But he's also just Man. That's it. None of the other qualities. That's a guy.

•wait I forgot Link. Same boat as Ren but like if Link doesn't give me ace vibes. Yes I'm projecting. I can project on a lot of these guys!

Just want to say I've added all of Kid Icarus Uprising's music and voice lines to the Google drive!

Since there's... A LOT of files, I'm not going to change the default file names. However, they aren't too hard to follow to find what you might be looking for! Files are primarily separated by air (A) and ground (G), followed by chapter number, and then the order in which they appear. Characters' voices are not separated into different files.

I have yet to find other sound effects. I had an idea on where they might be but the file I extracted wasn't useable =(

I'm aware the 'fixed' .dae files I have on the drive aren't working correctly. I'm trying to fix them as I get time, but I can't figure out why they're breaking. I'll be switching over to using fbx files as those should work better, but texture's might not be added to the models automatically. Not the best solution, but my goal is to just get the models out there in some useable way.

If there's a model you want me to add to the drive let me know! I'm currently working on Medusa, and trying to get the rest of the gods uploaded. Monsters, stages, items, and weapons will be added upon request!

Why Villains Are Great

I can sum that up with one beautiful word… Versatility

For you see…

A villain can either be a someone who willingly threw away their humanity to become something monstrous…

Or they’re someone who retains their parts of their humanity, while still committing the most heinous of deeds.

They could be a demon trying to force their twisted sense of order upon everyone from atop an ivory tower…

Or just a plain bully with a soft spot that shows itself more often as time flies.

They can have the purest of intentions and cause mass suffering at the same time…

Or they are a self-righteous narcissist who sees their horrendous actions as completely justified and in the right.

Maybe they’re an ethereal, destructive, carless, and otherworldly entity…

Or a truly tragic monster.

It doesn’t matter if they’re a man…

Or a beast…

A villain can be anything or anyone, for evil has many shapes and many faces.

Cyrus is a good candidate for a coulda been tumblr sexyman but honestly Hades works better to me. Kid Icarus Uprising came out during the PRIME of tumblr sexymen and I think the only thing that held him back was his design being fucking wild. Uprising being a more niche piece of media and Hades being a suave Disney villain type makes him a PRIME tumblr sexyman. I feel like Cyrus resonates more with modern tumblr users but 2012 tumblr would’ve LOVED this man. He literally tears through the credits and laughs at you. @sexymancouldabeen​ I know I already shared a Hadesganda post but!

Fun fact! While you may already know that in ki:u—for some reason—there are two exchanges involving sneezes (Chapter 13, The Lunar Sanctum, and Chapter 25, The War's End). There is actually a third(?) exclusive to Japanese!

In this version, Pit is instead the one instead who sneezes in the exchange between him and Hades, which also means this portrait of Pit is completely unused in the English version of ki:u.

Now I don't speak Japanese, so I can't give an accurate reason as to why the translation team decided to make this change, but it does seem (at least in the videos I can find) that Hades looks like he was sneezing more that Pit did in the animation, so maybe that's why. Again, not 100% sure on this, so if anyone knows any more than I do, please feel free to chime in!
