Praesidii Variations
Having sourced themselves from various planetary cultures, the Praesidium Guard Regiments at the disposal of the Novus Regna are influenced by the practices of their local Reserve arms. Proposals to unify the practices of the Regiments and Reserves have been vetoed by at least a third of all involved with the matters.
Classifications
For the simplicity of regimental designation and classification, the origin worlds of the various Praesidium Guard Regiments are noted within their regimental number. When regiments have been lost, destroyed or otherwise reformed, regimental numbers have been reused and the legacy of former regiments is typically held by the newer formation.
While there is some overlap with the Imperial Classifications, these are coincidental in nature as Imperial assignment utilised a different guideline.
Osmertan Guard - Prefix 1
Considered the stereotypical Praesidium Regiments, the Osmertan Guards laid the standard doctrine for the wider kingdom. They are almost completely composed of mechanised and armoured forces, using this mobility and protection to be more brazen in seizing the initiative of any engagements.
Referencing Praesidium Osmerta specifically, the sources of the Osmertan Guard are from all the Praesidium worlds. Osmerta was simply chosen due to the spiritual significance of the Saint.
Daevus Guard - Prefix 2
The Daevus have adapted the mechanised warfare principles laid out by the Osmertans and refined it towards Urbanised warfare, with a preference towards defensive actions. Armoured elements are utilised more akin to mobile hard points which allow for reactive actions to reinforce focal points.
Their defensive preference has also been displayed in their adoption of new equipment, with the Dormarth being seen as inferior to the Leman Russ.
Haddiran Guard - Prefix 3
Using the alternative name of the Haddirian Yeomen, they are formed from the Reservists of Haddir Gir. Predominantly sourced form Clan Zethar due to sheer size, the Yeomen are specialist light infantry with experience with reconnaissance and skirmishing as well as infiltration and extender period independent deployments. Their armoured contingent used to be significantly smaller but have seen a recent swelling after the adoption of the Dormath family of vehicles.
Legacy Guard - Prefix 0
As a side effect of regimental restructuring, many formations were left after the Nova Banner Crisis and Novus Regna formation. Instead of looking to override their history, they were universally given the numerical prefix 0 to initiate this history within the Imperium.
The members of these formations weren’t active during the Imperial era instead they were often reformed into a specialist element for the Guard, sourcing recruits from the veterans of other regiments.
Anticipated Regimental Formations
With the expanding borders of the Novus Regna, there have been administrative preparations for the organisation of new Regimental designations. These include
Periita Guard - Prefix 4
Artificer Guard - Prefix 5
Malagastian Guard - Prefix 6
Makabians - Prefix 7*
Kikreth - Prefix 7*
*Due to the unknown state of what may result from integration of Sv’vaden into the Novus Regna, Makabians and Kikreth have been assigned the same designation.

The People of Harddir Gir
Opera Agri is a unique world even by Kallig’s Unbound Empire standard. Unlike other worlds ‘reclaimed’ during the Great Crusade, Opera Agri’s population was able to maintain an individual culture so long as it stepped in line when needed by the Imperium. From their Pre-Imperial Culture, the world’s people were divided into a large number of different ‘clans’, similar to the noble houses of many Imperial worlds, which each occupied regions known as ‘Boroughs’.
A common name used by the clans instead of Opera Agri is that of ‘Haddir Gir’, loosely translating into ‘The Land of True Beauty’ or ‘Nature’s Beauty’ depending on the regional dialect. Opera Agri is however a universally accepted name for the planet, despite some groups seeking an official returning of the Planet’s ‘true name’.
The Clans
Similar to noble houses on the worlds of the Imperium, Opera Agri has an intricate web of countless different Clans of major and minor importance. Most of these carry a sense of extended familial ties within their groups and is not uncommon for the offense towards an individual to be held against their entire clan.
What is unique for the worlds of the Imperium is that many of the major collectives have been present in some part since before the Imperium’s arrival. While they did submit themselves to Imperial rule, and later the Imperial Cult, most internal traditions have been preserved. Their fringe location made it ideal for them to avoid the glare of inquisitive bureaucrats and cultural enforcers.
During the more primitive ages of the world’s technology, where floral conservation was more difficult, nearly all the clans were mobile with their territories. As populations and technologies were redeveloped into previous glory, more stationary settlements were situated but to maintain their connections the Hearth Lords and lesser Lords preserved their frequent movements.
Despite this location stability, it is still an uncommon sight to see large fields of crops like on other Agri worlds. The only place where these can be seen en mass is around the Grand City of Kurnoth, tended by the Tramanas, and this produce is traded between the clans for mutual preservation.
Common Cultural Aspects
With the heralding countless different beliefs, ideals and practices, it is near impossible to ascribe more than a few common traits to the ideals and practices of the Clans across Opera Agri.
Of these few traits is an omnipresent respect towards the ‘Spirit of Life’, a deity like being which connects life across all worlds. This local faith leads to a symbolic link being perceived between the world and their people.
As stated early, an unyielding kinship among one’s people also permeates the different clans, and is shared out between the clans on a planetary level. This latter bond is most notable during the time of Kallig’s rise where only a single clan declared their allegiance with the Imperium over one of their own people.
A near universal tradition is the marking of adults within the groups with ‘Clan Marks’ during a coming of age ritual. Commonly designed in large and elaborate patterns, they occupy the host’s upper back, arms and shoulder regions with the colours less important than the mark’s contents. The only ‘rules’ around the marks themselves is the inclusion of the main clan symbology often with family based imagery. Youth who leave before this ritual are given a small mark along their wrist and lower arm as a sign of their origins, and get incorporated into one’s clan mark if they return.

Lord Kallig
Lord Kallig is the the lead founder and current sovereign of The Novus Regna and is the proclaimed Everchosen of the Primordials, or more accurately the Everchosen of Chaos.
He previously served as a soldier of the Astra Militarum prior to his adoption of his current identity and title, and successfully succeeded from the Imperium by founding the Novus Regna in the fringes of Segmentum Pacificus. Since then he has successfully maintained his independence from both the Imperium and other factions within the Galaxy, with even some cases of cooperation with local Imperial Elements.
The Inquisitorial Ordo Luciferian have taken an interest in both him and the nature of his title of Everchosen, and despite official claims and records have had direct interactions with Kallig.
---
Brief Biography
Kallig was born and lived his early life on Haddir Gir, living a life of little note. In his late teenage years, he signed on with the reforming 28th Praesidium Infantry Regiment of the Astra Militarum.
He served with distinction during these years but avoided promotion to a commissioned role, likely due to a mixture of personal intention and support from others within the command structure. He served with the regiment for [REDACTED] campaigns, concluding this service with the Uaarvar Campaign against Heretic Astartes of the Word Bearers Legion and aligned heretics.
After the campaign, the regiment was returned to Praesidium Domina to resupply and reorganise for future deployments. From the campaign, Kallig had come into possession of an unnamed artifact which caused his exposure to the warp and he became radicalised against the Imperium. He was able to spread his ideology within his regiment, as well as others present with the resupplying action.
After instruction to withhold deployment, guardsmen were granted leave and during this time his beliefs spread further into the civilian populations and to various other worlds within the Sector. After some time, a mass uprising, triggered by unaware Imperial governors, occurred which became known as the Nova Banner Crisis.
[Details of the Nova Banner Crisis Redacted, Pending Further Entries]
After resolution of the Crisis, the Imperium was forced to withdraw their loyalists from the sector and an uneasy, before eventually a stable, cease fire to hostilities was formed between them and the newly formed Novus Regna. While a surprisingly amount of the sector was easily recoverable post Crisis, the new state would undergo a great degree of reformation and bolstering to better facilitate their defense from other Imperial attacks.
Beyond matters of state, Kallig worked personally to ensure he was not blind to the galaxy around him and after better understanding his powers he was able to travel around to other worlds and systems. Despite what would appear to be in his best interest, Lord Kallig encouraged the formation of the Halo Commonwealth which is a small collection of Imperial worlds and systems bordering the Novus Regna. This situation has allowed for a far more stable peace and even cooperative action against piratical or orkoid threats.
---
Physical Description
Despite his extensive mutations described further down, Kallig still maintains a near wholly human appearance. His most visible mutation are his softly glowing amber eyes, crested with a rippling red edge to his sclera which has been described by some as being a fire in his eyes.
Overall his physique is that which could be expected from a Militarum Veteran, even having a battlefield of scars decorating his body before being later removed biomantically. He lacks any of the typical branding or ritual scars which are common with other individuals who utilize Chaos powers, and is also devoid of Imperial tattoos. The only visibly artificial element to his body is a cybernetic lower left arm, connected at the elbow. While he could almost certainly heal the wound he has instead facilitated growth to better integrate with the prosthetic, holding a symbolic or sentimental value to it.
[Pict Recording Attached Below]
Tumblr media
Personality
While aptly described on the outside as a man of many faces, Kallig has developed an ever flexible expression of his self which can quite heavily adapt to the scenarios he finds himself in. This becomes far more apparent when comparing his public persona as the head of the kingdom and when in private situations.
Despite the passion he could channel through himself, he has a personal dislike of unleashing his passions in violent outbursts. Instead he goes almost mechanical in his systematic deconstruction of a foe.
While Kallig is convicted for his personal beliefs, he is rarely known to try and actively influence others to his perspective. In most cases briefly explaining his view or even just seeking to explore the views of others.
Despite being born into the Imperium, Kallig hasn’t shown any apparent prejudice towards aliens or mutants, beyond those which curry deserving reputations such as Orks. The only group he has shown a disgust towards has been astartes, with particular disdain to those of the Black Templars, and only those who can get personally close can break this opinion of them.

Deus Gewlas
Segmentum: Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princepts
Sub-Sector: Fertafas
Deus Gewlas is the core system to the Novus Regna and acts as a seat of power through the kingdom. It acts as the centre for both economic and political matters, with its geographic position making transit within its space significantly more reliable than alternative routes.
Before the rise of the Everchosen, it did still hold an administrative position over the local systems. Commanded by the Triarchs of Daevus which managed the three inhabited worlds of the system, these political factions evolved into the more democratic and corporate institutions which now oversee planetary governance.
System Worlds
Daevus Gema
The capital of the capital system, Daevus Gema still holds its imperial legacy proudly. The world itself is a model ‘Civilised’ world with a strong degree of self sufficiency for general management however imports of specialist skills and rare materials are required with more specialty matters.
Praesidium Domina
Connecting with the Praesidium system, Domina is the technical home of the Praesidium military command as well as the training grounds for new forces of Territorial Reserves and transitioning Territorial Reserves into fully formed military formations.
Haddir Gir
Mislabeled by the Imperium as an Agri World, Haddir Gir has been a stubborn world in accepting the Imperialisation of their culture and traditions. When they were ‘relieved’ of their Agri Tithes, they have flourished into a bastion of Pre-Imperium culture.

The room started to clear of attendees. The one of the last to rise was the only Imperial present, Inquisitor Louis who was still examining the supplied records.
After neatening up his own stack of papers, Kallig spoke up. “Inquisitor, could I borrow your time for a moment.”
“Naturally m’lord.”  Those words were once toxic for him, but had now mellowed into an uncomfortable reality for dealing within this ‘Unbound Empire’.
The Everchosen rose too, looking at the door to make sure all had left before continuing. “Have there been any other findings from the Trenkov System?”
“Only the troubling findings which I have already provided.” Louis leaned against the edge of the table, resting his items back unto it.
“Why are they so troubling?” There was an investigative intrigue to Kallig’s vox filtered voice. The blacked eyes giving nothing for the Inquisitor to read however. A hand was raised and waved over to the Servoscribe within the room, responding by the soft clicking of depowering. “Truthfully. Nothing has to leave this room.”
“Just that such a divergent cult is able to develop within the Imperium without proper recourse. It is just another sign that the Ordo Hereticus requires expansion.” There was an artificially steeled quality to his voice. Imperial Stoicism in the face of something unpleasant.
“Or perhaps you require a different approach.”
This perked up the Inquisitor. The bored and mellow life in his eye emboldened at such a prospect.
“You already give the systems the freedom of interpretation. the Solar Emperor, the Storm God of the mountains. Why not give them the freedom to explore the faith in other aspects?”
“Unacceptable.” The Inquisitor bolted upright, voice raised and stern. “You are nothing more than another one of the enemies of the Long War.”
“Ha.” The sardonic tone in Kallig’s voice was one of the few inflections shared through the vox. “You think any of the Legions would care to give me the time of day? Only Deos has gotten any marines even remotely loyal to my cause and .”
The Everchosen continued. “Consider the fact that I have worked with the Ordo instead of acting as a warband and ravaging planets in our path. How many Inquisitors and Cults is it so far?”
“Twelve, and Nineteen.” The inquisitor coldly answered.
“Then why do you still treat me as your mortal enemy? You act like I’m a daemonhost you formed for your own needs?”
‘Not an inaccurate comparison.’ Louis contemplated. “I assume you plan on raising a point rather than just interrogating the purposes you already know.”
“You have seen my Empire. Praesidium and Haddir Gir have changed little, Deus Gemmas was rotten to the core and required the change of system.” Even if there were details missed, the point was clear. “Warp Seers have found that the Pacifican Jewel has been unveiled from the storms. Let my people work to reinstate the worlds into the Imperium. No new religion, fully restored tithes, and you will monitor the process.”
“And the Ordo?”
“Ask for forgiveness when you have the results to show.” It was here that the political slyness came forth. “You’re granted the freedom to advice and take action appearing contrary to the Ordo’s mission, provided justification and results prove otherwise.”
“I assume you will also ask that I mask any new diversion of man and materials you undertake as well?”
“Consider it before you make a decision.” Kallig swiftly took up his items before leaving the chamber.
The Inquisitor continued to look into the grand view before him. Clearly more would require his attention than just the simple machinations of Everchosen Politics.

Kallig’s Philosophy
Introduction
If not clearly apparent with the unique position of the Unbound Empire within the political landscape of the galaxy, Kallig holds a distinct and personally developed ideology which has been developed and adopted to provide the foundation of his actions.
On a superficial basis, it could be argued that he had adopted the beliefs of the Imperial Tyrants, being another case of rebellion leaders becoming the masters they once overthrew, but closer examination shows that reality is more complex than at surface level glances.
His beliefs are more radically different upon comparison, especially when examining the approaches taken. The prime example is the focus placed on Autarky and the devolution of some power to a planetary and regional basis, which are more capable at adapting to shifting local requirements and popular wills.
--
Origins and Upbringing
To understand his ideology, an understanding of Kallig’s history is needed in two aspects specifically;
Kallig was a native to Haddir Gir, and continues to hold strongly to his personal and cultural roots. For the Haddirians, there is a strong social emphasis placed on the holding of a collective identity through which people can be united. This has been partially splintered with the formation of different Clans, but as seen during the Everchosen Revolution these can be united when under existential threat.
As there was no formalised education provided to Kallig for the political domain, he was forced to self educate regarding the matters and sourced this from various sources across the years. This gave him a broad perspective but also one which wasn’t tinted with the lense of a structured ideology. The developing structures he helped form were thus those which were more flexible and suited to their application rather than fitting some idealised textbook scenario.
--
Philosophical Core
Derived from the Haddirian Identity, Kallig’s belief is founded within the idea of ‘The People’ (or Folk/Kin). This is a population wide identity in which ideals and traditions are maintained throughout. There is no explicit adherence to the idea of ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ there is an unspoken respect and trust within populations this feeds from.
Where other ideologies have drawn the line of ‘The People’ along axis of biological heritage, The Everchosen’s beliefs draw from the Personal beliefs and identities of those comprising the people. This thus does not prevent ‘Outsiders’ from becoming one of the ‘People’ so long as the native practices are upheld and given the due respect.
--
The State
Within the framework, the State is the necessary extension of ‘The People’, acting as both the avatar and protector of those who comprise it. As those within are of a shared system of values, there is little perceived need for the allowance of unneeded rights and liberties as these would only be provided and utilised by Outsiders, and potentially in a manner which could put the native population at risk.
The comparison primarily drawn upon is that of a body, composed of individual cells who then comprise the tissues and organs within before coming together as the body.
--
Religion
While Kallig’s personal theological beliefs are radically different to that of the common person’s, he still thinks there is a valuable place for religion as a social construct for the uniting of people and the clear promotion of ideals towards younger people.
Despite this, he works to preserve the separation of Church and State as one is a personal conviction where the other is a collective entity. This also allows for the shifting of ideals and beliefs as a population changes and evolves.
--
// Disclaimer //
Kallig’s Ideology is inspired by Fascist beliefs and related teachings. This is intended as a functional interpretation and exploration of the beliefs within the Warhammer 40k Universe.
This is not and should not be taken as any form of endorsement for the beliefs.

Opera Agri
Segmentum: Segmentum Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princeps
Subsector: Unknown
System: Fertafas
Affiliation: Unbound Empire
Class: Agri World
Opera Agri, also known as Haddir Gir to many of the local clans, is a world which acts as the largest distributor of food, livestock and other biological resources within the Unbound Empire. This had earned it the loose definition of Agri World while it was an Imperial World but many of its aspects indicate towards Feudal and Civilised world classification.
Beyond  a primary human population, divided into a number of coexisting clans, there is also a small orkoid infestation within the Mountains of Durnaka kept in check by the Clan Zethar. These have occasionally broken free from their natural imprisonment, necessitating the creation of hunting parties by other tribes but have never been able to amass a force equivalent to a planetary level ‘Waaagh’.
Geography
The world is dominated by a main fractal, Pangean continent with uncountable waterways throughout the landmass, a feature often used to help designate clan borders. An broad array of islands have been formed along the western coasts, known as the Wizened Isles, but there is little of note to the area beyond a slightly higher biodiversity of aquatic life.
Being one of the closer worlds to the system’s star, Opera Agri is a warmer world compared to its kin. While uncomfortable for unadjusted human populations, it has proved invaluable for cultivating and maintaining a large and diverse range of floral and faunal populations.
Notable Locations
The Great City of Kurnoth
The acting capital of the planet in economic and political roles, Kurnoth has a foot print similar to many smaller hive cities if far less densely packed in industrial and population. Changes to the city are common, with new districts being constructed and unneeded regions being deconstructed for other purposes, there are currently Eighteen different districts to the city.
The Wizened Isles
Home to the clan union of Kresmos-Kanatha, the western islands are of little note for their current inhabitants and more for their history. It acted the initial staging point on Opera Agri for Kallig’s retaking of the world from the Knights of Ruin during the Great Schism.

Praesidium
Segmentum: Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princepts
Sub-Sector: Fertafas
The Praesidium System is the bordering system for the Novus Regna and the Imperium, and previously acted as a border of the Imperium and otherwise untamed space.
All the worlds are fortified complexes with defences which date back to the era of the Great Crusade. While insufficient to be considered a fortress world on an individual basis, the worlds have been able to reliably withstand any threat the Imperium or Orks have thrown at them.
While acting as the defensive stronghold of the Kingdom, the Praesidium worlds have also become known as the main coordination centre for the Praesidium Guard forces, as well as interplanetary training of the Territorial Reserves.
---
The Praesidium Guard
The professional military forces for the Novus Regna, the Praesidium Guard evolved from the ‘Praesidium Steel Bloods’ who served the Imperium under the Astra Militarum. Unrestrained by decrees binding the forces, the Praesidium Guard have been able to reform themselves with effective combined arms formations and consequently granting them greater operational effectiveness and flexibility.
There are regiments based upon the traditions existing within Territorial Reserves of specific worlds. One notorious example is the Haddirian Yeomen from Haddir Gir.
---
System Worlds
Praesidium Primus
Command station of the Praesidium system, and the practical hub for military command within the Novus Regna, Primus oversees all military actions and logistical management of forces. It is deemed significant enough to gain its own choir and thus means of communication with the rest of the kingdom with ease as well as the Imperium if required.
Praesidium Messre
Exploiting the orkoid infestation on minor landmasses, Messre has become known mostly for its use as a live training ground for guard formations. This has gained a controversial reputation, but the results have been effective enough to dissuade complete purging of orkoid presences.
Praesidium Osmerta
Named after the Imperial Saint Rosalie Osmerta, the world is known as one of the first to openly rebel against the Imperium during the Nova Banner Crisis. Within more recent history it has been a centre point for ‘Operation Ferrum’ with support of the Celestial Geists.
