Kalligâs Philosophy
Introduction
If not clearly apparent with the unique position of the Unbound Empire within the political landscape of the galaxy, Kallig holds a distinct and personally developed ideology which has been developed and adopted to provide the foundation of his actions.
On a superficial basis, it could be argued that he had adopted the beliefs of the Imperial Tyrants, being another case of rebellion leaders becoming the masters they once overthrew, but closer examination shows that reality is more complex than at surface level glances.
His beliefs are more radically different upon comparison, especially when examining the approaches taken. The prime example is the focus placed on Autarky and the devolution of some power to a planetary and regional basis, which are more capable at adapting to shifting local requirements and popular wills.
--
Origins and Upbringing
To understand his ideology, an understanding of Kalligâs history is needed in two aspects specifically;
Kallig was a native to Haddir Gir, and continues to hold strongly to his personal and cultural roots. For the Haddirians, there is a strong social emphasis placed on the holding of a collective identity through which people can be united. This has been partially splintered with the formation of different Clans, but as seen during the Everchosen Revolution these can be united when under existential threat.
As there was no formalised education provided to Kallig for the political domain, he was forced to self educate regarding the matters and sourced this from various sources across the years. This gave him a broad perspective but also one which wasnât tinted with the lense of a structured ideology. The developing structures he helped form were thus those which were more flexible and suited to their application rather than fitting some idealised textbook scenario.
--
Philosophical Core
Derived from the Haddirian Identity, Kalligâs belief is founded within the idea of âThe Peopleâ (or Folk/Kin). This is a population wide identity in which ideals and traditions are maintained throughout. There is no explicit adherence to the idea of âLove Thy Neighbourâ there is an unspoken respect and trust within populations this feeds from.
Where other ideologies have drawn the line of âThe Peopleâ along axis of biological heritage, The Everchosenâs beliefs draw from the Personal beliefs and identities of those comprising the people. This thus does not prevent âOutsidersâ from becoming one of the âPeopleâ so long as the native practices are upheld and given the due respect.
--
The State
Within the framework, the State is the necessary extension of âThe Peopleâ, acting as both the avatar and protector of those who comprise it. As those within are of a shared system of values, there is little perceived need for the allowance of unneeded rights and liberties as these would only be provided and utilised by Outsiders, and potentially in a manner which could put the native population at risk.
The comparison primarily drawn upon is that of a body, composed of individual cells who then comprise the tissues and organs within before coming together as the body.
--
Religion
While Kalligâs personal theological beliefs are radically different to that of the common personâs, he still thinks there is a valuable place for religion as a social construct for the uniting of people and the clear promotion of ideals towards younger people.
Despite this, he works to preserve the separation of Church and State as one is a personal conviction where the other is a collective entity. This also allows for the shifting of ideals and beliefs as a population changes and evolves.
--
// Disclaimer //
Kalligâs Ideology is inspired by Fascist beliefs and related teachings. This is intended as a functional interpretation and exploration of the beliefs within the Warhammer 40k Universe.
This is not and should not be taken as any form of endorsement for the beliefs.

Deus Gewlas
Segmentum: Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princepts
Sub-Sector: Fertafas
Deus Gewlas is the core system to the Novus Regna and acts as a seat of power through the kingdom. It acts as the centre for both economic and political matters, with its geographic position making transit within its space significantly more reliable than alternative routes.
Before the rise of the Everchosen, it did still hold an administrative position over the local systems. Commanded by the Triarchs of Daevus which managed the three inhabited worlds of the system, these political factions evolved into the more democratic and corporate institutions which now oversee planetary governance.
System Worlds
Daevus Gema
The capital of the capital system, Daevus Gema still holds its imperial legacy proudly. The world itself is a model âCivilisedâ world with a strong degree of self sufficiency for general management however imports of specialist skills and rare materials are required with more specialty matters.
Praesidium Domina
Connecting with the Praesidium system, Domina is the technical home of the Praesidium military command as well as the training grounds for new forces of Territorial Reserves and transitioning Territorial Reserves into fully formed military formations.
Haddir Gir
Mislabeled by the Imperium as an Agri World, Haddir Gir has been a stubborn world in accepting the Imperialisation of their culture and traditions. When they were ârelievedâ of their Agri Tithes, they have flourished into a bastion of Pre-Imperium culture.

The Armoured Development Programme
Ever since the separation of the Praesidium Steel Bloods from the Imperium of Man, there has been a large and looming issue of material costs of maintaining and replacing the ex Imperial arsenal. Without the raw manufacturing capacity of a Forge World nor the special material for the complex weapon systems, there was an invisible clock ticking down till the point where most of the Praesidium armouries would be unviable.Â
With the aid of the Primas Artificers, Praesidium Officers and other adepts of logistics and manufacturing, efforts have been put in place to update or replace the archaic patterns in favour of those more suited to the needs and capacity of the Unbound Empire.
A set of three primary phases have been produced to help focus efforts of development for the Empire. Each of the stages were formed broadly enough to allow for the clear distinction of smaller sub stages when being addressed.Â
The grandest target for developed vehicles are to be a universal platform for combat. If a singular vehicle can be fitted and refitted to fill the required needs of the military it would be more preferable than having a unique system for each role. After the partial but notable success of the Leman Russ Praetor, a degree of functional flexibility for the exploration of field modifications would provide additional boons.
A major step needed is the refocusing of vehicles from high damage and high protection to a greater balance between damage, mobility and armour. There will still be a value in the use of the heavily armoured systems from the Imperium but from the Empireâs stance a more balanced approach should be taken.Â
---
Phase One - Foundation
Phase One is geared to provide the foundation for future progression and will be continuously expanded along side future Phases
Before the completion of Phase Two, production facilities must have been expanded by 4R by standard operational standards. Expanded recruitment for Vorago mining operations can be taken to provide the materials for these developments. Materials cannot be collected from the Imperium via trade without Kalligâs oversight.Â
To manage the expansion of the facilities, companies of notable repute and spotless security vetting can be contracted for the work. Additional limited state control can be taken on the companies, or corporate regions within, working on the facility expansion.
The later aspects of Phase One shall also include the collection of vehicles for the purpose of examination and mechanical understanding. The current list of vehicles available for technical examination. Discounting variations, current patterns available for collection are;
ChimeraÂ
Leman RussÂ
SentinelÂ
CentaurÂ
Rhino APC
Land RaiderÂ
Several Damaged Wrecks available
Onager Dunecrawler
Observation Only
An examination of the civilian and industrial vehicular markets should take place in addition to the military world. Designs of particular note should be recorded for future contacting of the manufacturers and designers for design contracting.
---
Phase Two - Early Developments
Phase Two jumps direct off of Phase One by using the collected vehicles to plan and develop prototype designs for trailing. Access to the sample vehicles are to also be provided to organisations and groups which have passed Level 3 Military Vetting to provide demonstrations and understandings of current military grade equipment.Â
Standard regulation pertaining to Military Classification are to remain and are expanded to associated Primas Artificer groups due to high value nature of the developments. Breach of these regulations will carry risk of organisation disillusionment, appropriation of assets or in cases of malicious breaches execution as a traitor to the Empire.Â
Punishment of Primas Artificer aligned individuals require approval from the High Minister Dhâaarth Marr, the Binary Master or Lord Kallig to prevent destabilisation of the relationship with the wider organisation.
During vehicle trails, the newly rebuilt 22nd Independent Armoured Battalion is to be used as a crew supply and should be observed by at least one representative of the Office of Armoured Warfare and either the Primas Artificers or Vvalfan Pedigree Company. The testimonies of acting crew should also be considered when selecting designs for further adoption and development to prevent unnecessary animosity from future crews.
---
Phase Three - Deployment and Specialist Designs
After the trialling and selection of designs, Phase Three comes into place for the small scale production and extended training with them. At least one company of the 22nd will be available for testing of future designs but the rest shall be issued with the selected models.Â
Lessons from deployment and training should be used to progress with future iterations of the designs and issuing of the vehicles to other formations shall be considered after their experience alongside the 22nd in training exercises or with the requests of regimental command staff.Â
Friction with more traditional officers is anticipated and due to this the Battalion Major will be granted authority equivalent to those of Regimental Colonels during training and combat operations but this authority is to be used with tactful discretion.Â
---
Phase Three/Two - Local Defence Forces
Drafted by Lupine Patriarch Devrex and High Minister Marr, Phase 3/2 is more a proposal than a direct path of armoured development.Â
Because of the limited nature of the Praesidium Steel Bloods and plans to expand the borders of the Unbound Empire, Phase 3/2 is to propose the idea of local defence armour. Supplementing the PDF forces, the armour would be able to be produced on the local level and allow for a greater defensive ability for the population.Â
Combined with the discovery of the Greater Domain of the Sleketh, and potential of other as of yet unknown threats, the defence of Malagast, RegâTritum and Svâvaden will require a uniquely versatile defensive force.
The militarisation of Malagast has potential with their feudal culture but rapid exposure to technology may result in issues with rebellion or mis-application of the equipment. Further consideration regarding Malagast is required.

Dormarth Light Hunters
The Light Assault Vehicles (LAV), redesignated Dormarth Light Hunters (DLH) after official adoption, was the line of light armour designs put forward by Low Dominarch Trupp from Conclave Ordinatus.Â
As per the specifications put out by the newly created Office of Armoured Developments, Trialing and Administration, the Dormarths were designed to be a modular and universal light armour system which could be utilised as a more direct form of infantry support or replacing the role of the Sentinels as reconnaissance vehicles.Â
Based on civilian track/suspension designs, the base design of the LAV was drafted and had initial production by LD Trupp but received later support from the Nitrek Company after the selection of the design for continued evolution. The main designs of the Light Assault Vehicles are;
---
LAV-1 to 6
Mechanical proof of concept designs, the early LAV designs was less about developing an understanding of the suspension of commercial designs.Â
Looking back at the barely born designs, the early LAV show a number of physical traits which later became defining for the Dormarths. From their much lighter tracks and exposed wheel set, to the more angular design of the hull, there was much which would be carried with the design evolution.
---
LAV-7 to 8 // The Mules
Seeking access to users who would subject the pattern to trials and tribulations which couldnât be produced in the clinical and standard environment of workshops there were ten models of the Light Assault Vehicles produced for lease with âCamilaâs Boon â, âNajekâs Coâ and other members of the Conclave Ordinatus for use as mechanical mules which could operate over less reliable terrain.Â
While still legally limited in access to potential armaments, to test the reactions of the armament recoil against the design, the use of the design under heavy cargo loads has allowed there to be a strain test when the tracks and engine are tested.Â
Conclusion: Broadening of Tracks for improved soft ground traction, Addition of Upper Deck and Turret Ring, Improve maintenance access to easily worn parts of the engine.Â
---
DLH-10 // The First to the Gates
Finally fitted with battle steel and the turret mounted with a multi-las, the Light Assault Vehicle came into being with the trials. It is fair to say that the models used werenât the most effective present. For example the Najâeem Marauders had much heavier armour potential and could fit a battle cannon sized weapon within its tuttet.Â
The LAVs were selected because of its performance in the Rugged Terrain Combat Demonstration. This trial showed that the greater mobility on rough terrain and could easily overwhelm a group of targets. Using the pack like movements displayed in the design, the Light Assault Vehicle was redesignated the Dorarth Light Hunter for official use.
---
DLH-11 // From Iron, From Steel
After the replacement of the simple steel to the experimental âDrodic Armourâ and the fitting of military grade internal equipment the Praesidium warhound started to become something finally resembling something for battlefield deployment.
Issues with turret size, use of the alternative armour and fitting of the military standard internal technology has resulted in a degree of unreliability in the produced versions of the DLH-11. The exclusive use of the Multilaser and the battery banks fitted for the weapons additionally requires reconsidering for broader reaching deployments.Â
---
DLH-12 - Dormarth Blaifel
Using the earlier developments as the foundation for the hull, and the turret of the competing Haâavek Tank design, the DLH-12 represents the ideal form of light armour which can stand toe to toe with foes of equal or lesser arms and armour while also carrying the capacity to slay larger beasts.Â
Instead of a multi laser, requiring bulky energy banks, the mounting of a Predator style heavy autocannon has been fitted which feeds from twenty round, refeeding canisters. This system prevents the loose shells becoming a hazard within the hull and provides twenty rounds which can be fired as a single shot or in automatic fire.
---
DLH-13 - Baedd
Replacing the turret with a fold out platform from which recovery equipment can be deployed, the Baedd was designed to act as a cost effective recovery vehicle which could help recover vehicles up to the size of a Leman Russ.Â
To most peopleâs surprise, the Baedd has found its way much further than the rest of the Dormarths as it has been adopted in small numbers by most mechanised or armoured support engineer formations.Â
---
DLH-14/15 - Dormarth Melait
Proposed and initially modified by Captain Agris, the Melait have the main upper hull and turret of the Blaifel replaced with a casemate mounting from which a pair of heavy weapons are fitted. The proposal was initially done to more effectively mechanise a heavy weapon team, which could then be utilised by Yeomen Battalions.
The most common set up has the hull mounted with a pair of lascannons which can be fired twin linked or independently. Heavy Bolters and Autocannons have been used as well, but their need for frequent reloading has met them with lower favorability. Proposals of fitting a field howitzer or mortar system within the casemate has been proposed but without a reliable weapon yet the system continues to use the standard weapons.Â

Steel Bloods - Reborn
Overview
The Praesidium Steel Bloods is the primary military organisation of the Unbound Empire and is evolved from their time within the Imperium.
Now no longer bound by the decrees of the Departmento Munitorum, the warriors of Praesidium have evolved to a far more reliable and effective force on a regimental or battalion level. The biggest of these exploited freedoms was the merging of the military arms within formations to allow for a single Praesidium regiment to have greater versatility in battle over their Imperial counterparts.
Their limited pull of potential recruits however does mean that the Praesidiums would be unable to utilise tactics which depend upon mass mobilisation of bodies with high casualties which would otherwise available to the Astra Militarum or Lost and the Damned groups.
As with the rest of the Unbound Empire, the Steel Bloodâs resemble their loyalist kin more than the heretical followers of the Dark Gods. The reliability and strength in a coherent force is valued much higher than individual strength or ability to manipulate others.
Doctrinal Specialisations
During their time serving the Imperium of Man, the Steel Bloods of Praesidium always held a relative universality in their tactical options but have always held a tactical specialisation towards defencive actions.
Instead of being a purely defensive array of regiments however, the Praesidii made extensive use of breakthrough tactics to allow mechanised strike teams to disrupt/cripple supply or command groups. Towards the suspected end of a conflict, a more complete breakthrough is produced which is intended to surround the bulk of the opposition, reversing the siege.
After their disconnection from the Astra Militarum and the wider Imperium, the drive for commanders to facilitate the utilisation of these tactics had to be reeled in to prevent being caged in against a larger force when unable to be supported. The use of mechanised forces to break into opposition lines has been adopted when in more offensively focused scenarios.
Uniform and Equipment
The common warrior of Praesidium is remarkably similar in basic equipment to the Imperial standard see in forces such as the Cadian Shock Troopers. A light tunic is worn with a set of thermally neutral trousers and combat boots. Over this a smock covers over the tunic followed by flak armour covering the infantrymanâs shoulders, torso and lower shins/ankles.
Finally, a rucksack is worn over their back, and is used to carry most of their standard kit which isnât carried on their person directly. These will often be left by mechanised forces in their transports but it is considered good practice to ensure they are still on oneâs person to prevent the destruction of the supplies with a transport.
Beyond the lack of any aquillan markings on the equipment, the Praesidii more visually distinct element is that of their brimmed helmets. Instead of obscuring the auditory perception of the infantrymen the helm provides minorly better protection from falling debris and is significantly easier to produce and store.
Face guards are a common aftermarket modification applied by people of all ranks. Beyond extending the helmâs protection to the front of the wearerâs head, the change does little to assist against most forms of small arms at the very end of effective ranges. The advantage of giving the wearer a better sense of security and protection does prevent it from being restricted and a number of modification kits have been produced and endorsed for these changes.
Standard Armaments
The standard armament is a Lasrifle derived from the M36 Kantrael with the A82 Bayonet. The variations in pattern are insignificant being minor modifications to the materials used or the specific calibrations in optics. The only one visible to an outsider is the removal of Imperial Aquilas, as with body armour and other equipment.
A laspistol is provided as a mark of position for Section Sergeants and are provided options of other armaments. The most common pairings is to utilise their reliable rifle or to utilise a chainsword. Some do prefer to use non conventional weapons such as handcrafted weapons or solid round weapons.
For grenades they are equipped as standard two frag and one krak, with two white smoke grenades given to a section and a single red signal smoke provided to the sergeant. Photon grenades can also be issued but are only done so when the need arises.
Standard Infantry Variations
Haddiran Yeomen
The Haddiran Yeoman are specialist forces for skirmishing and reconnaissance operations, reliably being the first to meet the enemy before rapid disengaging. They are equipped with lighter armour and a hunting rifle derived lasrifle based on local model utilised. To further support their skirmishing role, they are equipped with a light vox pack which makes target reporting and coordination easier in the field.
Their less than typical mode of engagement was something borne from their primary origins in the hunting parties of Opera Agri, especially when acting against Orcs, but other population bases can be used as sources for these infantrymen.
Heavy Weapon Teams
The only changes to equipment is the replacement of one personâs primary armament to a heavy or specialist weapon, with a replacement for a laspistol or carbine. Improved vox and the addition of weapon maintenance equipment is available but issued on a platoon level at the behest of the platoon Lieutenant.
Mechanised Elements
From their tactical favour with the utilisation of mechanised breakouts, it is unsurprising that the armoured arms are ones justly loved by the Steel Bloods at all levels.
For the Tanks in the service of Praesidium, the Leman Russ is still a reliable relic of the Imperial Age and continues to be considered a powerful centerpoint for any mobilised force. Their use has been geared more towards a mobile bunker, with the side sponsons, than the more omni-purpose utilised by Imperials.Â
While still young from recent armoured developments, the Dormarth Light Hunters are showing signs of being more favourable when working with mechanised infantry. Not yet a threat to the venerable design they still show the the Leman Russâ days may be numbered with the Praesidii.Â
Chimeras are yet to be supplanted by a new development and continues to serve as the main transport for mechanised infantry and as the main hull for mechanised artillery. As with the APC, the artillery holds no difference between the Imperium and Praesidium.
Organisation
As stated above, the Praesidii have taken an alternative method with their organisational structures. From the surface, the seemingly biggest change is the introduction of battalion level formations as an official organisation level. By limiting the point of single arm formations to battalions, Steel Blood Regiments have evolved to be more combined arms creations.Â
This seemingly simple adjustment has made the organisation has allowed for singular regiments to cover their own failings, such as having an Armour based regiment utilise their mechanised infantry to destroy weapon emplacements likely to cripple the main armoured core.

Praesidium
Segmentum: Segmentum Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princeps
System: Fertafas
Affiliation: Unbound Empire
Class: Lesser Fortress World
Praesidium is the home of the Praesidium Steel Bloods and acts as the battered bulwark which protects the Unbound Empire, and previously the local region.
The world was once said to have held the same beauty held by the Terran region of Albyon long before the ruin brought from technological misuse. For the fringe world, its beauty was lost at the hands of external threats who conquered the worlds instead of being from internal strife.
Remnants of this lost beauty is still carried in the hearts of the local population which utilises the limited artistic population to ensure its perpetuation.
Geography
The current lands of Praesidia are a battered and cracked world, with any mass of floral life subsisting within the borders of the eastern continent of Aeanryr. If not for the possibilities to import mass items of food stuffs, and the limited cultivation chambers within the confines of the Fortresses, there would likely be more
Fungal life however has dominated the Ddaearig lands. Orkoid hoards roam the region seeking to better empower themselves while salvaging what little they can from other clans. If not for being waterlocked, far more extensive actions would be needed to prevent this infestation to no require
Contrasting the other two landmasses, Dwyn Taearw is a dead land resembling an amalgamation of an asteroid and a mesa. It is a large region of limited life and trying terrain to those unprepared. While populations are kept to the coastlines it has become an ideal trial zone for physical trials of Praesidium recruits. The Yeomen officers particularly make extensive use of the region for survival training.Â
Small islands do dot the remaining ocean but the extremely limited aquatic life makes them more used as areas for training in aquatic tactics rather than acting as a fishing port or center of trade.
Population Centers Classifications
Hamlet
A Hamletâs closest comparison to the population zones of Imperial worlds would be those of larger villages or small cities. They are self sufficent and often have a close connection with the Keeps within proximity.
Beyond their use as inactive duty garrisons with Steel Blood formations pending reorganisation, reinforcement or otherwise awaiting external action, the regions hold no defencive or tactical advantage beyond their limited resource advantage to a holder.Â
Keeps
The âhivesâ of Praesidium, these are dense population regions with a powerful manufacturing core for local sustainability. It is extremely common for regiments to be assigned to Keeps to act as the specialist enforcers along side more local law enforcement.Â
Keeps are often considered the superior to the Hives of other worlds, having a greater defensive potential beyond their extensive voidshields and mere bulk.Â
Fortresses
Towering monoliths of architectural and industrial might, and perpetual reminders of the worldâs âliberatorsâ. Where the Keeps are self sustainable in times of peace, it is suspected that the Fortresses are able to remain self sufficient for up to a decade during a siege despite having only access to the surface and upper crust level constructions.Â
Unlike the Keeps and Hamlets, who can reach double or triple digits when tallied together, there are only eight fortresses along the surface of Praesidium. All upper levels are swamped with constant motion and work of both civilian and military personnel.Â

Opera Agri
Segmentum: Segmentum Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princeps
Subsector: Unknown
System: Fertafas
Affiliation: Unbound Empire
Class: Agri World
Opera Agri, also known as Haddir Gir to many of the local clans, is a world which acts as the largest distributor of food, livestock and other biological resources within the Unbound Empire. This had earned it the loose definition of Agri World while it was an Imperial World but many of its aspects indicate towards Feudal and Civilised world classification.
Beyond  a primary human population, divided into a number of coexisting clans, there is also a small orkoid infestation within the Mountains of Durnaka kept in check by the Clan Zethar. These have occasionally broken free from their natural imprisonment, necessitating the creation of hunting parties by other tribes but have never been able to amass a force equivalent to a planetary level âWaaaghâ.
Geography
The world is dominated by a main fractal, Pangean continent with uncountable waterways throughout the landmass, a feature often used to help designate clan borders. An broad array of islands have been formed along the western coasts, known as the Wizened Isles, but there is little of note to the area beyond a slightly higher biodiversity of aquatic life.
Being one of the closer worlds to the systemâs star, Opera Agri is a warmer world compared to its kin. While uncomfortable for unadjusted human populations, it has proved invaluable for cultivating and maintaining a large and diverse range of floral and faunal populations.
Notable Locations
The Great City of Kurnoth
The acting capital of the planet in economic and political roles, Kurnoth has a foot print similar to many smaller hive cities if far less densely packed in industrial and population. Changes to the city are common, with new districts being constructed and unneeded regions being deconstructed for other purposes, there are currently Eighteen different districts to the city.
The Wizened Isles
Home to the clan union of Kresmos-Kanatha, the western islands are of little note for their current inhabitants and more for their history. It acted the initial staging point on Opera Agri for Kalligâs retaking of the world from the Knights of Ruin during the Great Schism.

The People of Harddir Gir
Opera Agri is a unique world even by Kalligâs Unbound Empire standard. Unlike other worlds âreclaimedâ during the Great Crusade, Opera Agriâs population was able to maintain an individual culture so long as it stepped in line when needed by the Imperium. From their Pre-Imperial Culture, the worldâs people were divided into a large number of different âclansâ, similar to the noble houses of many Imperial worlds, which each occupied regions known as âBoroughsâ.
A common name used by the clans instead of Opera Agri is that of âHaddir Girâ, loosely translating into âThe Land of True Beautyâ or âNatureâs Beautyâ depending on the regional dialect. Opera Agri is however a universally accepted name for the planet, despite some groups seeking an official returning of the Planetâs âtrue nameâ.
The Clans
Similar to noble houses on the worlds of the Imperium, Opera Agri has an intricate web of countless different Clans of major and minor importance. Most of these carry a sense of extended familial ties within their groups and is not uncommon for the offense towards an individual to be held against their entire clan.Â
What is unique for the worlds of the Imperium is that many of the major collectives have been present in some part since before the Imperiumâs arrival. While they did submit themselves to Imperial rule, and later the Imperial Cult, most internal traditions have been preserved. Their fringe location made it ideal for them to avoid the glare of inquisitive bureaucrats and cultural enforcers.
During the more primitive ages of the worldâs technology, where floral conservation was more difficult, nearly all the clans were mobile with their territories. As populations and technologies were redeveloped into previous glory, more stationary settlements were situated but to maintain their connections the Hearth Lords and lesser Lords preserved their frequent movements.Â
Despite this location stability, it is still an uncommon sight to see large fields of crops like on other Agri worlds. The only place where these can be seen en mass is around the Grand City of Kurnoth, tended by the Tramanas, and this produce is traded between the clans for mutual preservation.Â
Common Cultural Aspects
With the heralding countless different beliefs, ideals and practices, it is near impossible to ascribe more than a few common traits to the ideals and practices of the Clans across Opera Agri.Â
Of these few traits is an omnipresent respect towards the âSpirit of Lifeâ, a deity like being which connects life across all worlds. This local faith leads to a symbolic link being perceived between the world and their people.Â
As stated early, an unyielding kinship among oneâs people also permeates the different clans, and is shared out between the clans on a planetary level. This latter bond is most notable during the time of Kalligâs rise where only a single clan declared their allegiance with the Imperium over one of their own people.
A near universal tradition is the marking of adults within the groups with âClan Marksâ during a coming of age ritual. Commonly designed in large and elaborate patterns, they occupy the hostâs upper back, arms and shoulder regions with the colours less important than the markâs contents. The only ârulesâ around the marks themselves is the inclusion of the main clan symbology often with family based imagery. Youth who leave before this ritual are given a small mark along their wrist and lower arm as a sign of their origins, and get incorporated into oneâs clan mark if they return.

Praesidium
Segmentum: Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princepts
Sub-Sector: Fertafas
The Praesidium System is the bordering system for the Novus Regna and the Imperium, and previously acted as a border of the Imperium and otherwise untamed space.
All the worlds are fortified complexes with defences which date back to the era of the Great Crusade. While insufficient to be considered a fortress world on an individual basis, the worlds have been able to reliably withstand any threat the Imperium or Orks have thrown at them.
While acting as the defensive stronghold of the Kingdom, the Praesidium worlds have also become known as the main coordination centre for the Praesidium Guard forces, as well as interplanetary training of the Territorial Reserves.
---
The Praesidium Guard
The professional military forces for the Novus Regna, the Praesidium Guard evolved from the âPraesidium Steel Bloodsâ who served the Imperium under the Astra Militarum. Unrestrained by decrees binding the forces, the Praesidium Guard have been able to reform themselves with effective combined arms formations and consequently granting them greater operational effectiveness and flexibility.
There are regiments based upon the traditions existing within Territorial Reserves of specific worlds. One notorious example is the Haddirian Yeomen from Haddir Gir.
---
System Worlds
Praesidium Primus
Command station of the Praesidium system, and the practical hub for military command within the Novus Regna, Primus oversees all military actions and logistical management of forces. It is deemed significant enough to gain its own choir and thus means of communication with the rest of the kingdom with ease as well as the Imperium if required.
Praesidium Messre
Exploiting the orkoid infestation on minor landmasses, Messre has become known mostly for its use as a live training ground for guard formations. This has gained a controversial reputation, but the results have been effective enough to dissuade complete purging of orkoid presences.
Praesidium Osmerta
Named after the Imperial Saint Rosalie Osmerta, the world is known as one of the first to openly rebel against the Imperium during the Nova Banner Crisis. Within more recent history it has been a centre point for âOperation Ferrumâ with support of the Celestial Geists.
