I saw your tag about nam joo hyuk and my little goblin brain can’t resist asking if you’ve ever seen the school nurse files? I feel like it’s just me and maybe 2 other people who have but I really liked it. The awkward but strangely sweet relationship between his character and the freak of a female lead did something to me (don’t analyse that). It was cancelled after 6 episodes though :’( but the story does feel complete. I don’t think it will make you cry til you throw up either, if that helps :D
I haven't seen that one but I did notice it in his filmography! I will add it to the watchlist!

"I want to hold you in my arms and kiss you. I want you to be my first and last. I want my mind to be filled with thoughts of you. When they overflow, I want to just let them be. I want my jealousy to be justified and I don't want to feel guilty even after punching someone. But to do all of that, I must begin."

the bride of habaek
I really enjoyed this kdrama for multiple reasons, first one being the plot and second one being Nam Joohyuk. I truly believe he is a very good actor and is able to portray his characters well.
I've realized I like the main actress but don't really connect with the way she portrays characters, there's just something always missing.
The plot twists can be predictable but overall it's an interesting show, again I can really appreciate a show set around a complex fantasy / sci-fi but it overall revolves around romance, I just enjoy them a lot. It is a good watch and I literally binge watched it in one day.
Plot: 80
Acting: 90
Ending: 80
TOTAL: 83/100
recommend? yes

Watching Love Between Fairy and Devil made me understand even better why the live adaptation of The Bride of the Water God failed to keep my interest for more than three episodes.

Why do I watch K-dramas? They just rip my heart out. The Bride of Habaek has the saddest final episode and it has nothing to do with the romance.
Spoilers
The girl jumps off a bridge when she's younger because she feels alone after her mom died while her dad is out of the country. She somehow swims out of the water. Ten years later she resents her father because he never came home and she never tried to find him because of her resentment. She later finds out that her father actually came back into Korea that night, but ran into someone who needed help. The person ended up being a god and leaving his tablet behind. The father picked it up with the intention of giving it back after visiting his wife's grave and his daughter. The tablet had the power of fulfilling one wish, and since his wish was to see his daughter, guess where it brings him? To the bridge as she's jumping into the river. He jumps after her, saves her and drowns because he can't swim.
She never realized that's how she got out of the water and for 10 years hated her father for abandoning her. I'm a sobbing mess right now. The actress did a phenomenal job portraying the guilt and sorrow after finding out where he is...
