Erin Keenan(butterfly dress)

This one is from the sharpay's fabulous adventure spin off which isn't a musical but given my initial decision to do these was before tdim came out I wanted some tdim characters and yellow being Erin's colour I just knew this would be for her

Close ups and all that undercut

I feel like I have a habit of over blushing her face when I do full colour pictures like this

A few with flash to pick up some of the silver dotted through the dress

There's not many references of this dress(she literally wore it to hang out in her room with her friends like the princess she is)

This turned out far better than I expected, I hate that shirt and love the dress, it was fun to doing a couples picture 😁

Rough sketch, close up and song undercut

I feel there's something rather charming and soft about their faces, not sure if you can tell but I've tried to dot a little silver on Taylor's face and dress to reflect the original

I couldn't help blocking in her hair lol

There's a certain irony to this exact combination of outfit/ship/characters that I don't think the person who requested this(having not seen the films) realised 😂

Simon Carver/blue polka dot dress

I'm under no delusion that I'll fill out this whole 30 page sketchbook before life gets in the way but from where I was before I have done well and it should hopefully be much easier to pick up again whenever that happens but all that aside here we have Reverend Simon Carver in sharpay's white and blue polka dot dress from hsm3

Angela/status quo ✨

For the second page in this HSM/SMG sketchbook this outfit was suggested for Angela twice completely separately and it seems there's just something right about it

Close up/rough sketch/and the associated song undercut(because I know at least two of you haven't seen highschool musical)

I won't post these everyday but I am a few ahead, I think this will make sticking to it easier this time

These films are honestly so ridiculous but they commit to the bit so hard that you can't help but get behind it lol(even if certain characters deserved better)

Becky Marney/golf(slicked back hair)

I don't entirely know if I captured Becky quite right but I really like how this one turned out, unlike the previous two this outfit isn't featured in a song so I'll just add some screenshots of it below along with the close up and rough sketch

I'll admit that the hair is half the reason I decided I needed to do this character outfit combo

I swear when I watch the film it looks red lol

@kassiekolchek22 @delurkr as you can see I made Joey's fur a little darker so he didn't blend in with Kurum's hand too much 😂

Based on these two images and rough sketch below

Reminder that whilst this isn't strictly an "October art challenge" this sketch book has thirty pages and I intend to fill them with supermassive characters in hsm looks(but mostly sharpay)

It'll take as long as it takes and people who made suggestions will be tagged in their suggestions(If anyone just wants to follow this random undertaking let me know and I'll tag you in all of them)

Also I still have a few pages I don't have plans for yet

I really liked doing the 12 sexy Du'mets and the whole deal with people suggesting outfits to draw and I'd love to do that with other characters when I have the time, maybe starting with the sukesh models(-1) idk there's a lot of different characters across SMG titles and I've had this one concept in mind that I'd like to do at some point(I know I still haven't finished My HSM/SMG fashion thing but still ideas be happening)

So what do we all think? Should the sequel to sexy Du'met be another sukesh model or something else or when I do my next suggested fashion fan art should it be something else?(obviously it doesn't have to be just the men if that wasn't clear)

I straight up forgot to do this month's tdpa birthday heads up! At any rate it's Nick's birthday on the 23 which is the day after hoa's second anniversary so it'd probably be good to make something that counts for both

....And I still didn't pick up last year's hoa anniversary wip because I've been focusing on my previously shelved HSM/SMG wip 😅

OK so I actually finished it but I want to be a few ahead before I start posting them

So unlike last year where I watched the first two back to back and then got distracted I'm thinking about doing one a day so today I'm watching highschool musical 2, tomorrow it'll be 3 and the day after that it'll be sharpay's fabulous adventures(the one I haven't seen yet)

I actually have a number of rough sketches to dig up so hopefully it'll be easier to get back on them, so I hope to be putting these out after I'm done with the re-watch at the latest(again wish me luck)

I want to point out that I still have enough pages left after everything I've got on the list to take other suggestions and this went out before tdim initially came out and while I personally added a few tdim characters to the list it's mostly hoa and little hope(I have at least one each for MoM, UD and the quarry tho)

I also really want some hidden agenda in there and maybe some inpatient too but I want to wait until I get a little further in before taking more suggestions so that I can avoid too much outfit double up

I in fact didn't get a head start on reheating my year old wips but in an effort to encourage myself to do so I've decided to post something from one as is(undercut)

Here we have Angela in sharpay's status quo blazer, I intend to continue with it but a lot can change in a year and who knows how different it'll be when it's done so I guess we'll be able to compare

We know I can do this whole styling thing as I filled up near half a sketchbook with something similar but my brain just refused to continue until I finished my hsm re-watch and I did two back to back, wrote my change of plans oneshot and then I never got back around to it and suddenly we had a new game to love and my brain decided to close that book regardless of if I was still reading but now I believe I've a chance to trick my brain into allowing me to find my page again

Highschool musical 3 today, so far so good

I know I'm going to take more recommendations further in but I really want to draw Becky Marney in sharpay's second golf outfit so I'm thinking I'll do that today
