I've been binge reading your Helluva Boss and Stolitz posts for a while now and I love how mature and nuanced your takes are. I've run into a good deal too many Stolitz antis on Twitter who won't give Stolas and Blitzo's relationship a chance to improve later, despite the show clearly trying to do just that. I'm especially tired of people saying that their relationship is one-sided. And even when actual evidence is put out there that Blitzo actually does like Stolas back, they say it doesn't count because those hints are less than 5 second long small details rather than being spoonfed to them. Just argued with one of them on Twitter like an hour ago and that's exactly what they said. And they accused ME of not paying attention because in their mind, Stolitz was built up from sexual assault, and they think Blitzo's line in Western Energy "He can get hurt?" is somehow out of character which confused the hell out of me, and they kept insisting that Blitzo had "zero interest" in Stolas no matter what.
Thank you so much!! I do try my best to be as rational and logical as possible so I’m glad it’s coming through, not to say I don’t have emotionally based reactions or bias but in my meta analysis I try to set my personal feelings about the text presented aside and just talk about what it could potentially mean based on recurring elements, themes, and deliberate choices made throughout not just in individual scenes.
LooLoo Land is a perfect example, there are some moments in that episode I heavily dislike (Blitzø shoving the dolls down his pants, the “as long as she washes it” convo, and Stolas being sexually inappropriate in front of his kid) so I do understand some of the criticism. It was also episode two and being a creative myself I know firsthand that things like that happen. You put in things early, for a joke, a laugh, to highlight personalities and they don’t necessarily come across the way you intended or jive with where the story ends up. Which is why a lot of my analysis takes in the entirety of what we have so far, the recurring stuff, not just individual moments or one off lines.
I’ve always maintained that it’s crucial to remember that creators are not perfect beings who are getting their story from on high fully formed, they make mistakes, they get inspired and take things in a different direction as things develop, they can contradict themselves over time. It happens.
It’s also a cartoon so it’s limited in how much it can even do, how expressive the characters can be, how much time they have to explore and the medium absolutely comes into play when analyzing it. Art has always been and will always be subjective, and unless the creator flat out contradicts something it’s largely left to interpretation, but that interpretation cannot be based on one scene, or one episode, or a one off bit of dialogue or a single expression either.
I always encourage not wasting your time arguing with people who are still serving up early content talking points or who dont have media literacy as a learned skilled. I know it’s super hard, I’m guilty of it myself. I was so close to going off on a “Stella and Stolas are mutually abusive” take last night you have no idea. It was more the dude was just being deliberately obtuse to the point I stopped myself and was like “they have to be trolling, no way someone believes this”. You can’t change their minds, they obviously don’t want to engage with the material from a place of good faith, and it just bums you out at the end of it.
A lot of them are really young too I find, which may be part of the disparity. I’m 38 so I have a lot of different experiences to draw from they haven’t had yet. I’ve been a fandom girl since I was a kid, I’ve always been a shipper and I also create things so my perspective is further down the line and with lived experience some people don’t have yet. I’m reminded of this daily, my oldest son is 18 and we have many conversations where I’m reminded about how much you learn as you grow older and the assumptions you make as a younger person. This is not to say that younger people can’t think critically but it is a skill and it improves over time like any other.
I also encourage people to think of what is being said and why. There is a lot of hate for VivziePop as a person. My understanding is she said some things early on and created a hate base that is going to deliberately misinterpret just to validate their initial assumptions about her motive and character. With popular things there is always a small subset that hate a show because of its popularity too, I don’t think because they are jealous like some speculate but because they didn’t personally enjoy it and don’t like feeling like they are missing something, so they take it in a “it must be the children who are wrong” Principal Skinner approach. They can’t see why people love it so those people must be ignoring what they didn’t like about it and they must tell them.
Sometimes people like another ship or another character more, and their ship might involve one half of yours, or they don’t feel their character is getting the same focus and attention because of yours. So instead of just letting everyone enjoy their own things it’s now a competition, a source of resentment and they must make that everyone else’s problem.
And I’ve talked about the fascistic purity culture that seems to encroach into fiction spaces as well that is also at heavily play. Any time a character does anything that is vaguely “toxic”, “problematic” they are immediately painted with the SA brush, the creator is promoting it and the fans are enabling it and are somehow directly responsible for it existing in the world. You can’t do anything about them except enjoy what you like, look at it critically within your own personal comfort level, and as always, my favorite thing to say “kill the cop in your head.” Not just with fiction but everything.
I’m glad my analysis is being enjoyed, and I super appreciate your feedback on it. Come to my inbox anytime and we’ll enjoy the ride together!

I'm Willing to Do Anything
Pairing: Lucifer x Klein/my MC (Klein is poly)
This is Part 4 of my Rise of the Archon of Sin series, which takes place after my MC's sacrifice in Lesson 38 of the OG. I started this series in July 2022 and still haven't finished it yet...*lies on the floor in laziness and procrastination*
C/W: suggestive, implied of sex, mention of religion
It was dawn, or the time that equivalents to dawn because in the Devildom, it's the eternal night, both Lucifer and Klein were lying on the former's bed, naked after a night of intense pleasure.
"I think I don't have anymore energy." Klein said, exhausted, he could barely feel anything on the lower half of his body.
"Only that has made you exhausted. Then how could you keep up when our nights get more intense overtime as my love for you grows more and more deeply?" Lucifer teased.
"Then maybe I should evolute into another kind of creature to keep up with you." Klein replied without being serious.
Lucifer thought for a moment before reached out and pulled Klein into his embrace.
"Klein, I love you, truly and deeply. I will always make sure you can keep up with me. We will always move together at the same pace." The demon of pride whispered to the Overlord's ear, to which the Overlord replied with a short "Mmm" as he settled himself in the big demon's arms.
. . .
Lucifer opened his eyes and he jolted up when he realized he was sitting on a bench in a church, which made many people look at him.
"Brother, sit down, or you gonna attract more unwanted attention to yourself." Pride heard the person sitting next to him said.
The demon sat down and began to remember why he was in a church. He had come to the church to talk to the priest about Klein's funeral. But since the priest was busy with hearing confessions, he were told to wait. And it seemed he unintentionally dozed off while waiting. Fortunately, it wasn't Mass time, so he didn't attract too much attention.
(I must have been exhausted.) Lucifer thought to himself.
"Brother, take this." The man sitting next to Pride gave him a handkerchief.
Lucifer was puzzled but then he realized tears had been falling on his face while he was dozing off and having a dream about the happiness he had failed to protect.
"Thank you." Lucifer said as he took the handkerchief, wiped his eyes and face and tried to regain composure.
Pride looked at the line of penitents and it was still very long. The demon started to complain in his head and looked at the handkerchief given to him by the stranger, wondering how he should deal with this with dignity. Only at that time he noticed a letter M being embroidered at the corner of the handkerchief. The letter M had a sword pierced through it vertically while itself bore a cross on high. It was the symbol Lucifer had seen many times but it had been a very long time since he last seen it.
"Michael..." Lucifer turned to look at the man sitting next to him and said his name.
"Took you long enough to realize." Michael said.
"What are you doing here?" Lucifer asked, his voice went a bit harsh. He couldn't guess what Michael wanted as he couldn't even see Michael's face because the Archangel was covering his face with two of his wings, which were invisible when Michael went incognito in the mortal realm. The purpose of this is to not reveal an Archangel's glory in the mortal realm, or else it would become a miraculous, but unintentional, religious apparition. Normal angels don't need to do that but Michael does, apparently because his glory in Celestial Realm is so great.
"It is I who should be asking that question, Brother. What is a demon, a high-ranking demon to be precise, doing in a church?" Michael replied and asked gently.
Lucifer couldn't reply without revealing his weakness so he chose to stay silent.
"I know what happened to that mortal whom you love, Lucifer." Michael said.
"I don't see that and why you approached me have any connection." Lucifer tried maintain his dignified and prideful attitude even though it was painful everytime Klein's death was brought up.
"Oh, they do actually. In Father's infinite love and mercy..."
"Love? Mercy? Spare me all of that. No divine or angelic help came when Lilith was dying."
"Lucifer, do you want to have Klein in your embrace again?" Michael asked.
"What did you just say?" Lucifer's eyes widened in shock.
"Yes, Father could make it happen... Or more precisely, He could assist you to make it happen. And I'm talking about a literal, physical revival of the body and the damaged soul of Klein. You know Father could do that, Lucifer."
"Tell me what I need to do to make that happen." The Avatar of Pride grabbed Michael, his words sounding more like demonic growling than a normal sentence.
"First, go to the middle aisle of the church and kneel down and ask Father to help you. This concerns you and your love so you have to do it. Don't worry, this isn't kneeling down and ask forgiveness for your past transgression, I know you would never do that."
Lucifer stood up and went to the central aisle of the church. He knew what he had to do. If it's something for his love or his family, the Avatar of Pride is willing to sacrifice anything. He had done it once to save Lilith. And of course, he would be willing to do it again for the most important person in his life.
The Avatar of Pride took a deep breath before he bent his knees.
. . .
"Did you hear? Lord Diavolo ordered a state funeral for that deceased mortal." A demon noble said to another, to which the latter showed extreme disgust.
"We can't let this happen!" A demon noble with tentacle beard shouted.
"Yes, let's strike at the funeral, and decimate the body of that mortal."
"This will put an end to that ridiculous exchange program and all that nonsense with the peace and co-existing between the Three Realms."
The demon nobles began to say with a unison voice that the funeral must be ruined and they must put an end to the far-from-reality dream of Diavolo.
"Isn't this go against Lord Diavolo's order and wish?" Suddenly, a demon noble raised his voice.
"Ah, Mephistopheles, I know you always desire to follow His Highness and fulfill his every noble wish. But don't you see His Highness is having bad influence from the former angel Avatars, that shady sorcerer Solomon, the hypocritical angels and especially, that deceased mortal? We are just being loyal subjects who are helping their sovereign by removing rocks that will prevent him from becoming a great king of Devildom."
"I do see your reasoning, yes." Mephisto answered.
"Then are you joining us, Mephisto?"
I hope you guys like it :3

I wanted to know what the companions think about House, including if they believe in him! Here are my notes:
Arcade: knows a lot about him, believes? hates him!
The Followers in general seem to believe House is the centuries old Robert House, so Arcade probably does, too. It’s not clear if he has any more knowledge than them about his life-extending technology
to Emily Ortal, v. sarcastically because she didn’t:
Would I like to help infiltrate the Lucky 38{casino} ? I'm so glad you asked...
REPCONN stuff that he totally doesn’t know for Enclave reasons:
I've read about REPCONN. I think they did some work with the... {catching himself, was about to say "Enclave"} the government before the war. Rockets and some energy weapon prototypes, I think.
There was some corporate espionage going on between Poseidon Energy's Project SEMELE and whatever was going on here.
REPCONN went through some rough times. When their rocket business was shaky, Mr. House purchased the company. It didn't take long for him to repurpose their plasma technology for a government weapon contract.
Another one of Poseidon Energy's many secret weapons projects. Before the Great War. It didn't go anywhere. That's how REPCONN got their shot. So to speak.
actual House opinions:
So Mr. House doesn't care that one of Caesar's most notorious Legion spies is walking around on the Strip. Either that or his Securitrons' AI is too primitive to recognize the threat. Neither answer is particularly comforting.
That's funny. Mr. House doesn't want to keep New Vegas independent. He just wants to keep the NCR and Caesar's Legion from pushing him around.
He must be pretty convincing if he's roped you into helping him, but you can count me out.
I have to say I don't understand where you're going with Mr. House. The man's been manipulating the locals for as long as anyone can remember.
Ugh. I guess that means I have to go back to that creepy mausoleum Mr. House calls the Lucky 38. I've been around a few unsettling places in my life, but that place takes the cake. {sighing} Back to the tomb, I suppose.
Maybe if you're Mr. House you do [need more electric]. I bet the people in Freeside need it a lot more than he does.
Boone: unclear what he thinks outside NCR
Yeah. I don't know much. Just rumors. All I know is he's supposed to be in charge of the Strip. And he's been able to stop the NCR from taking it over. Wish he'd give it up, so the NCR could focus on securing the border.
A face-to-face meeting with House, huh? The NCR would kill to be in your shoes.
I have made Boone not really care that House is hundreds of years old. Like :/ tell me if I should shoot him…
Raul: knows lots but doesn’t fully believe it’s him, disapproves of ‘both’
Just how old do you think I am, boss? Because I can pretty much guarantee I'm older than that. Let me tell you a story from before the Great War: Everybody knew Robert House. He was a genius. A superstar. Founded RobCo at 22, dated Hollywood starlets, the works. They say he saved Las Vegas. I was in Mexico City when the bombs dropped. Even from there, we could see House's defensive rockets shooting down the incoming missiles. Everybody assumed he died in the War. Maybe he did. But his robots are still out there, roaming the Wastes. And now, a Mr. House rules New Vegas.
[vegas] It's big, it's bright, and it's one of the biggest cities still left from before the War. Well, mostly, anyway. Used to be just a curiosity. The buildings were pre-War, but it was just as full of raiders and barbarian tribes as anyplace else. Then Mr. House took over, got the power turned back on, and got the tribes reformed into something civilized. Now they run his casinos for him.
[You can't seriously think they're the same Mr. House.] Maybe not. Maybe the new guy is just a clever raider chief with a knowledge of history. {Slightly ominous} Maybe he just left instructions for his robots to carry out in his name. {growing more ominous} Or maybe Robert House uploaded his brain pattern into a computer and rules to this day, a godless, soulless machine-god! {Back to normal} Or maybe the whole thing's a crazy coincidence. Who knows?
[Maybe there's a connection. Can you remember anything else about Robert House?] I remember there were some weird stories about him, especially near the end. There was a tell-all in El Periodico de las Aburridas by a starlet House dated. She said they never, um... don't make me spell it out, boss. Anyway, she said all he wanted to do was scan her brain and make her dress up in different outfits. [sickening] It was quite the scandal, at least in the Latin-American tabloid journalism market.
Veronica: doesn’t believe, doesn’t like him
Wow, Mr. House is looking for you, huh? What do you think he wants? Bowling partner?
[Ever heard of Mr. House before?] Yeah. They say he built the Strip. Of course, they say a lot of things. No one's actually met him. Me? I think it's a hoax. Probably a group of people who want to avoid attention, or some made-up persona of a self-aware computer. Why else would he shut himself in like that?
[after meeting] What'd you think of Mr. House? I was surprised he only had the two robot sex slaves.

How ‘good’ is Arcade, really?
I really like thinking about the companions’ desired endings. And how messed up they are (apart from Lily’s and Raul’s, which don’t really have the same moral implications anyway)
Cass wants to give into her bloodlust and doesn’t mind killing a lot of innocent people along with the actually guilty
Veronica hates everything the Brotherhood is going to do, but unless you prise her away from them with a crowbar, she will just grit her teeth and help them commit what she believes are atrocities
Boone wants you to side with NCR, though he has misgivings; and he doesn’t believe he’s capable of redemption. If you go along with his preferences, he’ll die in a murder-suicide. If you put more weight on his misgivings, he’ll become a heartless assassin!
But the worst is Arcade. We already know Cass has a temper, Veronica is a coward and Boone is violent - it’s more or less how we’re introduced to them. It makes sense that things end the way they do for these characters if we don’t set them on better paths. But Arcade? Everyone thinks he’s some kind of moral paragon, and I can see why, but it’s just not true!
Arcade’s preferred ending is to fight for an independent Vegas. There’s nothing wrong with this on paper, but the way he actually does it?
He really wants you to believe, and possibly really believes himself, that he hates the NCR for good Followers reasons, and not the way Orion Moreno hates the people who defeated the Enclave. If this were true, he would probably have a more Followers-looking solution for Freeside than stomping around in his daddy’s fascist boots, very literally.
His ending slide in this case says “Arcade used his Enclave knowledge and technology to keep order wherever he could”. If you know anything about the Enclave - and it’s quite possible your Courier doesn’t at this point, because everyone including Arcade is very cagey about what exactly the Enclave used to get up to (even Johnson, the one with the most conscience amongst them, makes it sound no worse than the NCR!) - you know this is very very bad.
But how does this even happen? The ending where Arcade fights on behalf of the NCR says that it’s not just that NCR will arrest him in their territory but that he’ll be “pursued by bounty hunters, NCR rangers, and the Brotherhood of Steel”. These people could easily hunt Arcade down if he remained in Freeside, so why don’t they? We also know the NCR can easily wipe out the Kings if they want (I mean, the Van Graffs got halfway there with only a handful of men), and they don’t have to be worried about diplomatic problems with Mojave locals any more in this ending.
It also says Arcade is forced out of the Followers, which may simply be because they don’t want to be seen as harbouring him, but it may be because they themselves won’t tolerate him (for a variety of reasons which I’m sure includes the parallels between Arcade & the Courier and Edward Sallow & Joshua Graham). All of which makes this ending even more baffling! It could be that the people in Freeside are hiding him to some extent, but whether this is due to fear or adoration (or both) is hard to guess.
What is his new position in an independent Freeside, if it’s not just ‘big bloke with a big gun’? If you go for an independent Vegas but convince him not to fight - meaning you have his power armour - instead of the spooky obviously Enclave stuff, you’re told “Arcade did his best to help the locals govern themselves”. This is the man who tells you straight up he’s not a people-person, so are we really supposed to believe he’s talking to people? And like, what is there to help with? The Kings already have it in hand, don’t they? This is Arcade’s own stated beliefs about independence - he’s no Benny. He never breathes a word about wanting to have a hand in running things himself. If things are worse in the direct aftermath of the fighting, is it not more Arcade’s job to be patching people up? If we’re to believe that his adventures with the Courier have helped him get over the personal issues that made him complain about being a bad doctor (and I do), then why doesn’t he use this personal growth for that, and not for whatever the hell he’s started playing at?
Because he can! And he still wants to! And he wants similar things, too. The only ending in which Arcade not only remains with the Followers, but remains recognisably a Follower, is an NCR victory, in which he gives up on Freeside and goes home to the Boneyard to be a teacher. As if the people in Freeside don’t still need his help, probably now more than ever? And these people literally know him and love him and greet him on the street (which is despite his efforts to be inconspicuous, despite his efforts to avoid people, and despite him working as a researcher - if it’s not that he’s often treating people either because he’s a skilled surgeon or because the Followers are understaffed, and I think it’s both, then it’s only because he’s so kind to people and so charming! But claiming to be bad with people).
But his membership in the Followers was never really about helping people - probably more about the access to education and technology he could get with them. (And maybe some kind of teenage rebellion - the Followers are about as opposite to the Enclave as you can get.) I know, this sounds so harsh, but it’s true! In his other endings, if Arcade is neither dead, nor on the run, nor a slave, he gives up on the Followers entirely and goes into private medicine. Does he really seem like he’s devoted to their mission?
Obviously there is nothing wrong with being a doctor, and I think his attraction to medicine really does stem from wanting to help people, as he claims. But his story is about more than a man with no bedside manner who wants to be a doctor. This is a man whose morals take him so far as realising that he shouldn’t want to be his dad - but he still does. So he wants to be a new version. An Enclave officer who defends helpless wastelanders and fights evil!!! It’s a child’s idea and when it meets the real world, he either gives up on it or he gives in to it.
Arcade may have never been truly Enclave himself, but he’s never been close to anyone outside the Enclave, either. He tells you he’s never had a lover he felt he could confide in; he’s never had a close female friend; and though it’s kind of a joke, it seems like he’s used to being blanked by other Followers. Even then, it seems like after his mother’s death he’s only close to Daisy and to a lesser extent Judah - Arcade kind of implies Daisy is a substitute mother to him, though he doesn’t go into it, and Judah recognises him and knows that the Courier is a new friend, implying he’s visited recently (potentially only when he was in Westside with Tom Anderson - it also implies that Judah knows Arcade doesn’t have any friends!!). The other remnants don’t really care, apart from Johnson - but he doesn’t immediately recognise Arcade’s adult appearance, so this is clearly a reunion for them more than a catchup.
It’s obvious when you meet Cass and Boone that they don’t have anyone (though in Boone’s case this is more self-inflicted, and no, I’m not just being mean about Carla lmao) and it quickly becomes obvious that Veronica is more or less in thrall to the Brotherhood. It’s not so obvious that Arcade has all of these problems and more. It seems like he’s more together than the other three. He doesn’t need help with any kind of personal problems, and he can not only give you his personal opinions about the political situation but what seems like good advice, from someone who admits to reading political textbooks for fun.
And all of this disguises that he’s the most messed up of the lot, and that he not only has the greatest capacity for evil (I never get over the Caesar comparisons. He can also be the Joshua Graham to your Courier’s Caesar, of course!) but has the greatest desire for it. And this is actually strengthened by both his desire to do good and his fear of doing harm (the position he’s put himself in, with doing whatever Julie tells him to - which ought to involve human experimentation, but apparently doesn’t - is fascinating). Obviously evil people are obviously scary, but it’s a one-dimensional fear. The only thing scarier than someone like Boone or Johnson who will carry out awful orders and then cry about it is the one who’ll give those orders and then cry about it. And that’s Arcade - or what he’s trying not to be, or trying to be, or both. And that’s why he’s my favourite character!

TITTLE: Just Be Here
SUMMARY: Reader just finished a case and her husband, Aaron Hotchner is always there to support her.
PAIRING: female! reader x Aaron Hotchner
CHARACTERS: reader, Aaron Hotchner, Emily Prentiss and David Rossi (literally for a second), Allison (OC)
WARNINGS: child assault and abuse; mentions of misscariage, alcohol usage, body fluids (blood, urine, vomit), pornography.
WORD COUNT: 3,5K
A/N: am i back? i don’t know hahah, but it’s something, right? again in this story Jack doesn’t really exist, sorry. and again CAC - Crimes Against Children.
'Hey, sweetie. You're safe, okay? Nobody's gonna hurt you anymore.', you whispered taking little girl into your arms. She was sobbing quietly with tears falling down her pink cheeks. She was no more than three years old, still in her purple pajamas, that were dirty form all the body fluids person can imagine and also dirty room she was held in. 'You're safe, Allison. You're safe.', you kept repeating and little girl just held her hands around you even tighter.
You looked around the room and the whole sight was just horrible. No windows, barely any lights, cages, blood and urine all over the floor. Just an awful place to be in let alone to live for months. Even the smallest thought of what was going on before the whole team came in gave you shivers and blood started to boil inside you. The place was there for years at that point and no one knew about it. You were just looking at your teammates, taking the rest of the kids out of the building. Some were crying, some were screaming and some were just clinging to the agents hoping that they would never comeback. And they never will. You would make sure of that.
' Allison, we have to go.', you said quietly, trying not to scare her. But little girl just shook her head and tightened her arms around your neck. 'We have to go. You need to see a doctor. It's scary, I know, but I'm gonna be with you all the time, okay?'
It wasn't easy to convince Allison to come out of the building, but after some negotiations and conversations with you she agreed. You're holding her in your arms as close as possible, trying to avoid the blue and red lights that were blinding both of you in the dark night.
Hospitals were always the last place that you're wanted to be. If you were the it only meant that either someone from your team or family was injured or one of the victims from your case were in tragic condition.
To put it straight, hospitals were never a good sign.
But you couldn't go home, not just yet. You promised Allison, that you would be with her this whole time, so you were also there when she got a check up from the pediatrician. You were holding her hand, caressing the back of it from time to time just to reassure her that you're there. Sometimes your would just add how great she was doing and how strong it is.
'Home.', Allison whined as doctor was checking on one of her bruised legs. Few tears fell down her cheeks, which made your hear break. It was horrible to seeing anyone in that position, but especially a child.
'You're doing great, Allison. Just few more minutes, okay?', you said quietly, taking hair out of her forehead.
'I just need to check the other leg and then you can have a long nap, till morning. How does that sound?', doctor asked and written down something on her notepad.
'I think it's great! Do you, Sonnie?', you said with a happy voice, looking at a little girl. She just nodded, still pouting from her cry few seconds ago. 'I'll be right back.', you said when you heard familiar phone ring. Doctor nodded understanding, but Allison held your hand not wanting to let you go. ' Allison, I'll be back in few minutes. I just need to answer that call, okay? You will be able to see me through the glass. I'm not going anywhere and until then you'll stay with Doctor Ashley.', you explained.
She wasn't convinced at all. It took you few more minutes for to actually let go of your hand. You explained everything a least three times. Doctor eyed you few times, but you just tried to ignore her. After years of working with children you knew how long it sometimes takes to convince them. Especially the ones that have been seriously hurt. They just wanted someone to be with them through the whole process and you understood it one hundred percent.
You sent Allison a small smile, saying one more time, that you'll be back in few minutes. After that you left the room and took out phone, dialing number that called you before.
'Hi.', you heard deep, yet soft voice on the other side. You sighed and replied with the same thing. 'Long night?'
'Yeah and I can't even see the end of it.', you answered and heard your husband's laugh. 'It wasn't a joke.', you added, rolling your eyes.
'I know. But it's kind of ironic considering that the sun will be up in less than an hour.', Aaron said. You could hear him moving around the house. Walking from bathroom to bedroom, probably getting ready for work. 'How are the kids?'
'Fine, if you could say it after living in a basement for most of your life and posing for creepy middle aged men.', you answered, feeling the shivers on your arms. The images that you saw literally just came back. And you can expect they will be coming back more often, but this time in your nightmares.
'All alive?', Aaron asked. You could hear him doing something in the kitchen, which made you smile, still looking at Allison. You actually would do everything to be right now with him in that kitchen. Waiting for his famous muffins with bacon and eggs, like he would do whenever both of you had day off.
'Yes, all eight of them.', you nodded. 'You're heading to work now? It's a bit early, even for you.'
'Not yet.', he answered quickly. You could hear another chews from the other side, which actually made your stomach going louder. 'But yesterday I picked up from the post office that coffee table, that you ordered and I thought I would put it together.'
'You're gonna put a coffee table together? At-', you asked surprised, looking at the watch on your phone. '-4:38 in the morning? Are you okay?', you added with a laugh.
'What can I say? I'm just bored without you.', he answered. Right after that you heard a loud noise from the other side and a quiet curse from Aaron.
'You're okay?', you asked, furrowing you brows.
'Yes. I'm looking for the box with all the tools.', he replied. 'I think I'll ask Morgan about them. He'll know what I should use.'
'How about you leave it to me, huh? I'll do it, because we don't want another trip to ER. It'll be third time this year, they'll assume that I'm assaulting you.', you laughed, hearing just quick 'hey!' from your husband.
For the first time in hours you actually felt nice. You didn't had constant fear in your head about the case. You weren't even thinking about it, right now what you were thinking about was Aaron and that stupid coffee table. And he knew about it, that was the reason why he called. After you were in a car with Allison and two policemen, you texted him that the case was over and you're headed to the hospital with victims. Both of you always do it, just to reassure each other that the other person is fine. Aaron on top of that would always call you. He's a very light sleeper, even waking up when you stir in bed sometimes, so every vibrations of his phone wakes him up. No matter what the time is on the clock, he always calls you. He knows how much you love your job and how saving kids was your thing. You loved it, after few years in narcotics unit you know you found your place. But Aaron also knew that you get very into the cases and you involve yourself a lot and if the case goes wrong you blame yourself really hard. Especially being a unit chief, just like him. So he always tried to light the mood even just a little and talk about the day, whatever comes to his mind.
'You're staying in the hospital, right?', it almost wasn't a question. It wasn't anything new to be honest. A lot of the times you would comeback to the hospital with the victims and especially with this case. He knew it wouldn't be different. You were working on it for over a month and it was draining you.
'Don't think I have a choice.', you admitted, looking back at Allison who was also starring at you. The doctor stopped examination and was about to leave. 'One of the girls won't let me go.'
'Just be careful, okay? And take care. Don't forget to eat something.', he reminded, knowing the previous situations.
'I will.', you reassured him. 'I love you.'
'I love you too, sweetheart. Give me a call later in a day.', Aaron said and you agreed.
After you said your goodbyes, you put the phone in the pocket and went back to the room. Allison immediately opened her arms and you laughed coming closer.
'You're back!', she said loudly, which made you laugh even more. Doctor Ashley smiled at both of you and left the room.
'I said I will.', you reminded her, patting her head. You could clearly see the tiredness in her eyes and how hard she was trying not to fall asleep. 'I think it's good time for a sleep.', you proposed, but Jade just shook her head immediately, taking back. ' Allison, you need to sleep.'
'Not sleepy.', she answered quietly, putting knees closer to her chest. 'Don't want to sleep.'
'You've been awake for a long time, Sonnie. You need to rest. I do too. Everyone needs to sleep so they will have energy for the next day.', you explained, but she once again shook her head. 'I'll be there the whole time. Nothing's gonna happen to you. You're safe.'
'Seven minutes?', she asked, trying to stop the yaw. You nodded and observed how she put her head on the pillow, drifting away from the real world.
Aaron Hotchner looked at his watch for the tenth time in the last 8 minutes. He signed and went back to signing papers in front him.
It was a slow day. Most paper work days were slow, but this one was even slower. He just couldn't focus. His thoughts were everywhere but in that office. He was thinking about his wife and what she's about to at that moment, probably still at hospital with the little girl. It was literally breaking his heart when he was thinking about your job and side effects, but also about your personal issues.
Being married for almost six years and together over eight, was something he was very proud of. He loved you with his whole heart and couldn't see anyone but you. The whole team always loved to see when a woman would flirt with Aaron, because it was always so funny to see him nicely declining the actions. Aaron Hotchner was a strong man with a very intimidating vibe, his voice could literally break you into a meltdown and get when a woman would approach him his eyes would always look for you. He just couldn't see his world existing without you.
With that being said he also knows you very well. Whenever something was wrong, he could feel it. Just from the look in your eyes or movement. You almost didn't have to talk to have a conversation. He understood you without any words and so did you.
After long nights when there were only you two together, Aaron knew what you wanted. Be knew all your dreams and wishes. Where you would like to go for vacations or favourite cuisine. Things that he could control. He also knew about your dream job and family wishes. Things he couldn't control and everytime Aaron would think about this, his heart would break into thousand pieces. Because if he could he would give you everything that you wanted and to do that he would sacrifice anything he could.
Quiet sound of a clock, that was announcing noon, got Aaron out of his thoughts. He looked at the clock just to assure himself of the hour and pressed his lips into thin line. Then he just closed the files on the rest, took coat and walked out of the room. Aaron walked to his friend's office and knocked on the door. He opened them after quick 'come in'.
'Dave, I'm gonna be back in an hour.', Aaron said, looking at the older man working on his papers. He looked up with pen still between his fingers.
'Everything's okay?', Dave asked and got quick nod from Aaron. 'Y/N's at the hospital again?'
'Yeah, they finished the case few hours ago so I'm sure she hasn't ate anything since.', he explained. 'I'm just gonna bring her food and come back.'
'No problem. If anything happens, we'll call you.', David said, waving younger man off. Aaron just laughed and closed the door. Then he walked down the stairs, wanting to leave the office.
'Hey, Hotch! Are you going again to get some food?', Emily's voice stopped him from going further. He turned around to face not only her, but three other agents. 'You're going outside, right?'
'Yes, Emily.', he sighed. 'But I'm not going to the place you love to eat from.'
'I figured. But maybe you would want to do us a favor and go there? Since you're already going outside the office.', she explained and Derek started to come closer with JJ right behind him. 'Look, it's raining outside and it's pointless to have two wet agents in the office. We will pay for the gas and also your food, huh?'
'Just text me your order and I'll see what I can do.', Aaron said, rolling his eyes slightly. Then he turned around and started walking towards the elevators, still hearing voices of agents behind him, who were deciding on the order.
Pediatric floor of the hospital was as always busy. Kids running around, parents trying to keep up with them, crying children from everywhere you can imagine and on top of that walls with so many colours, that he thought that someone vomited on them. He had no problem of finding the room where you were. Of course with a help from nurses.
Aaron slowly opened the door from the hospital room. He was expecting for either you or the child to be asleep and he didn't want to wake anybody up. But the sight inside made just his heart to melt.
You were sitting on the couch with Allison sleeping in your arms. Her head was on your chest and arms were really tight around the back. Her moth were slightly open, just like yours. But you also had your head hung back and he was sure he'd hear your complaints about the neck pains for the next week.
Aaron slowly put the package with your favourite food and something tasty for children on the small table near the door. Then he took the blanket from the bed and put it over you and the little girl, knowing how cold you must be from laying down in one place for so long. After that he just put a light kiss on your forehead and with one last look he left the room.
Aaron got to the elevator and took out his phone, checking out one message from Emily.
If you are going to the place near the hospital and there's a girl with short red hair, then say that you would like to order for Agent Prentiss 😘
He furrowed his brows at the message and dialed her right away.
'Did I say something wrong?', she answered after one signal.
'How this girl supposed to know your order?', he asked, looking at the numbers of elevator going down.
'She'll know, trust me. I've been there many time.', Emily laughed and Aaron could practically see her smile through the phone.
'Whatever.', he sighed, hearing the ding from the elevator. 'Oh and Prentiss?', Aaron called and heard quick 'yeah' from the other side. 'Stop sending me emojis. It's highly unprofessional to do it to your boss and it's making me uncomfortable.', he ended, walking out of the hospital.
You could physically feel lighter closing the door to you home. Everything related to work you always tried to leave outside this house and treat this place like an escape. And it was a long few weeks, so you were nothing but happy and relieved that it's over.
The house was quiet and dark. You could only see dim light from the living room and just thinking about it made you smile. You took off your jacked and boots, leaving the bag at the usual place and started walking towards the light. As you saw Aaron sitting on the couch with his eyes closed, you smiled even wider. His feet were on the coffee table and he had a glass of whiskey in his hand.
You leaned on the door frame and with arms crossed on the chest, you observed him.
'I'm awake.', Aaron said with raspy voice. You knew that he was probably sitting here for a while already.
'I know.', you answered and started walking towards the cabinet with alcohols. 'Aaron Hotchner is at home before me. What's happening in this world? Did they closed the FBI building?', you joked while pouring wine into a glass and sitting next to him.
'Very funny.', he answered with a sarcasm. He put arms around your shoulders and kissed your temple.
'I actually am.', you said, taking a sip. 'But I'm glad you're here.'
'Anytime.', he hummed, placing one more kiss on your head.
'Except the time you're working.', you joked and he just rolled his eyes. 'Thank you for the dinner, by the way. Although I would get something to eat myself, you know?'
'Yeah, you would probably eat your first meal of the day right now. I know you, Y/N.', he said, caressing your arm. 'So, how's the girl?'
'Allison?', you asked, reminding yourself of her beautiful smile in your head. Aaron only nodded, taking a sip from his glass, telling you to continue. 'She's gonna be okay, I hope. But she went through a lot.'
'You got close to her.'
'Yeah.', you admitted. 'I know what you think, Aaron. I know that it's not a good thing, I Get close to those kids and then I come home and they're not there. I know how this looks like. But I swear I just want to help them.'
'I know. But also you need to realize, that when they'll go to foster care they won't have someone to look after them every minute they're there. That there's gonna be many more kids their age and the attention you're giving them right now won't be given to them anymore.', he finished, looking down at you.
'Maybe they don't have to go to foster care.', you whispered, hugging your husband closer.
'You want to adopt a child?', Aaron asked slowly getting to the conclusion and realizing something else. 'You wanna adopt Allison.'
'I do.', you admitted. 'But I won't do it.', you added, sitting straight. Aaron just gave you questioning look. 'They found her mother in Portland, she'll come and get her tomorrow. Ignoring the fact that she doesn't have any job, is living in a two bedroom apartment with four other roommates and all the money goes to the alcohol. Yeah, so Allison has a bright future ahead of her.'
'You never know.', he answered. You put head on his chest once again and laid there for few minutes in silence, trying to relax.
'So, you actually put that table together.', you said keeping the eyes in small brown table in front of you, with Aaron's feet on top.
'I thought you'll never notice.', he answered almost sounding hurt.
'Oh, I did. Just wanted to hold the suspension for a little while.', you smiled and kissed him on the lips. 'Derek did it, am I right?', you whispered, narrowing your eyes.
'No.', he answered simply.
'Liar.', you whispered again, kissing him one more time, but stopping after you hear his phone going off. 'Everything's okay?', you asked.
'Yeah, just Emily.' he answered, but started explaining seing your confused face. 'I gave Emily's number to one of the girls that she has crush on from the restaurant. And I guess she had a good evening.', he ended and showed you the text.
SSA aaron 'Hotch' Hotchner, you are truly THE man 🥰🤭💗🍑

Alright, this is gonna be tough because I desperately want to say so much for the game's sake and my own, but it's just so much.
At least the playthrough as a whole exists to show a lot of those things, and there's no shame in some of the impacts the game had for myself going unsaid :)
LONG POST INCOMING, NO 'READ MORE' BECAUSE IT'S RELEVANT TO THE POST AND NOT AN AFTER-THOUGHT
CLICK 'J' ON YOUR KEYBOARD TO SKIP. (Sorry mobile users)
8:48 - Do you have any idea how good a step forward it felt to smash the repressing bulb?
9:50 - So I'll get ahead of myself because this fight shows a lot of the visuals that play into this: Something being the manifestation of guilt for Mari is so incredibly visualized.
Between the base 'Something' being extremely close to the shadow she cast and including the one visible eye that bore down on Sunny and Basil after the hanging, to the stairs incorporating into the design.
The seaweed and spider are more general anxieties though they do circle back to Mari since she saved Sunny, but those two forms don't feel as directly related as the stairs (heights) and base 'Something' forms and what they represent for his repressed guilt.
Could be wrong ;) Tell me what you saw in the forms of 'Something' if you'd like to expand on them :)
12:39 - Just to prove the point before you get to fully see the truth- Something morphs into the figure of Mari hanging. It doesn't fully demonstrate the "eye" aspect yet, but still I just wanted to say kudos on the way 'Something' is shown visually. Formless for a reason, and that form becomes more defined as you understand what it is, exceptional damn thing.
15:43 - Basil's part in all of this makes me so damn sad. Plenty to say later (obviously), but he harbors so much guilt, wants forgiveness so much, and is so (not shown yet) desperate to believe in Sunny's innocence while knowing but not comprehending the truth. The fact he harbors his own 'Something' due to the guilt of all this is heartbreaking, these kids endured a hell no one should. Losing someone so important to you and harboring the guilt and fault of it when nothing of the sort was intended. A childish fight with raised emotions got out of hand and all this came of it.
Hell.
16:30 - I absolutely adore how the photo album is used for this reveal.
Absolutely incredible execution that's specific to this story and its characters and makes piecing (literally) this together tense and grim.
22:27 - I NEVER SPOKE TO OR INTERACTED WITH THE THING IN THE CENTER OF THIS ROOM AND I'M A NORMAL AMOUNT OF UPSET ABOUT THAT >:( lol
29:41 - Okay.
So this reveal as a whole is so unbelievably well paced and incredibly hard hitting.
All game long there's a weight of having lost Mari. Repeatedly it's told that she killed herself and no one can understand why and everyone (MYSELF THE PLAYER INCLUDED) is looking for meaning in little moments, seeking out hints that maybe she was suffering or depressed or this or that.
And while that has gone on FOR THE ENTIRE GAME there has also been this uneasy weight surrounding Sunny/Omori. Visions of Mari twisted and deformed into phantoms of horror.
For the most part I assumed it was just him coping with having lost his sister and maybe a dialogue on how when she was alive he was in her shadow (in his mind) and now that she's gone he remains there?
That was the best I could figure, more or less. But it continued to seem more and more malicious in design and MUCH more 'heavy' in how it's presented as a shadow behind Omori/Sunny throughout his adventure and life.
The weight and 'overshadowed' looks of the scenes felt more and more foreboding and less like a simpler "I'm living in her shadow" story, but I couldn't figure out what it was.
Then these pictures come out and piece things together.
The final result:
Sunny and Mari fighting. (Context appears to be his growing disdain towards playing. It's stated he loved playing, but it's also shown that he begins to dislike how much Mari is dragged away for classes and the like up to and including playing. So my read was that Sunny was upset that their fleeting time together was dedicated to the recital and broke his violin in an emotional blur and the fight occurred.
Alternatively it was accidentally broken and both of their emotions were running high as it happened)
Mari falling to her death.
Sunny and Basil carrying her upstairs and tending to her.
Sunny breaking down as it sinks in.
The visions having Basil say "It's going to be okay" by the bedside. (I perceive that as a memory of what Basil was saying as he tried to manage his emotions during the event)
Sunny and Basil carrying her back downstairs and to the backyard.
The makeshift noose.
And finally the sight that burned itself into Sunny's eyes of her hanging after it was all said and done.
Just holy shit to it all in how it's revealed and handled.
Stories have twists all the time, and I ain't gonna make some bold claim like "Most unpredictable!" "Best twist!" "What a twist!" or whatever, though that'd be funny.
I just want to say this twist worked BEFORE the reveal as a foreboding sense of unease and curiosity- it lent itself to intentionally vague and easily misconstrued explanations, basically- instead of it outright misleading you beyond the characters that believe the lie repeating the lie, it allowed you to mislead yourself.
It did the twist the right way! And well! YOU trick YOURSELF! The people repeating the lie are being lied to or have motivation to repeat the lie! The GAME isn't lying (as so many twists handle it) the game is giving the world reason to mislead and allowing you to be mislead!
Now am I yelling affirmations for the way things SHOULD ALWAYS BE! YES! BUT THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S NOT AS NORMAL AS IT SHOULD BE! lol
31:40 - All the "You will really miss them"s hurt :(
33:25 - Right out the gate, a spoiler for what isn't here:
I looked up the alternate endings of the neutral route and my heart hurts to know Sunny doesn't stick around and Basil dies :(
34:00 - BASIL BEING OVERWHELMED WITH DENIAL AND GUILT AS HE ATTEMPTS TO MENTALLY PROTECT HIS VIEW OF WHO HIS FRIEND IS BY INVENTING A SECOND PARTY THAT DID THIS IS SO FUCKING REAL AND AMAZINGLY DONE.
And it explains the name behind the 'Something'.
'Something' behind you did it. There's 'Something' behind you, isn't there.
'Something' all around us, that potentially being the truth comin' in.
When 'Something' ruined my photos, Basil repressing protecting Sunny by destroying the proof.
Just expertly done.
'Something' being repression of the memory and impending guilt. Dannnng.
36:26 - It's 24 hours after I beat the game as I type all this so here's a gag.
Here's the part where Basil beats some sense into his friend, because after this Sunny gets knocked out and wakes up 200% improved and ready to save Basil from his own guilt by releasing them both from the secret.
So basically Kel dragged us out of bed, then a couple days later Basil beats us up, and that's how Sunny gets better :^) Game Over.
38:46 - This fight made me feel utterly terrible, a highlight being the energy bar saying "Everything is going to be okay".
or at 40:17 - when Basil pokes out Sunny's eye and the screen does this? That's an underutilized but always awesome visual.
41:12 - I THOUGHT I WAS DEAD AT THIS POINT :)
Because just before entering Basil's home on this night you see his Grandma's ghost here. So seeing Sunny here told me "WELL. YOU FUCKED UP!"
42:25 - Like I said, beat some sense into Sunny.
Here's the mental side of things where Basil's beatin' told Sunny to go remember the good times and confront his inner self and I'm being partially facetious because there's plenty to say about what's coming up.
43:15 - Goosebumps every time due to the sincerity and hope of this.
43:40 - Hug for anyone needing that.
51:11 - I could cry again and I just might before this post is done being put together.
This accident was never meant to be.
55:09 - Timestamp is arbitrary, I won't go over every flashback but I do want to say what a beautiful way to use these photos. To relive the memories? To find the strength to overcome and all that? After all these years of suppressing memories? DANNNG I love this game.
1:04:09 - I stepped in poop.
1:04:15 - Barefooted.
1:04:22 - I embraced my failure.
1:12:00 - The violin.
1:13:00 - "The anxious feeling-" "They believed in you" "No matter what you didn't want to disappoint them" I'm filled with love and gonna cry about it.
1:14:00 - So an important theme in the game, as if it has just one, is Sunny suppressing emotions and demonizing himself.
Obviously the ending shows him breaking free from both but I think it's important as hell to look at how he builds up to being able to.
After all the dark moments show him as a bloodied monster, demonstrate a perceived lack of remorse for what he's done (as in he sees himself so poorly that he says "I must not have felt bad about it, I'm a monster", not that he actually doesn't feel bad about it, that he thinks he shouldn't because he's bad), have him stab dream Basil to protect his repression of the memory, the build up to breaking free from that is him remembering the good in him through the lens of his friends.
Both in the real world and in revisiting the memories within the photos.
He hears about the good in himself that he has pretended isn't there and finds the power to overcome this deadened shell he's made.
He learns how to forgive himself by finally remembering he's worthy of forgiveness and is more than his mistake, that even the person he grievously harmed would want him to forgive himself and would understand the mistake didn't define him.
1:15:15 - Just because you did something bad doesn't make you bad, to put it more eloquently than my rambles. He had to learn that.
1:19:20 - I've done this fight 4 times.
You may be wondering why 4 times, it ain't like I replayed the game a ton or anything.
The short of it is:
1) For the good ending :)
2) To see what happens if you go "up" in the hospital- it's a dead end- I assumed it'd be a bad ending. So I got the good ending again :)
3) For the bad ending.
4) FOR THE GOOD ENDING TO WIPE THE HORRIBLE FEELING IN THE PIT OF MY STOMACH AWAY FROM THE BAD ENDING :)
In doing so I did get one layer deeper on the BG of Omori in the fight, here it is:
And I learned on the fourth run that the fight is simpler than I gave it credit lol, Cherish refills your juice, so there is no reason to use Encore. You can get to the end (and deeper more easily) by just using the triple attack and Cherish and Calm down when necessary.
1:29:00 - A summary of the fight is that it's extremely impactful emotionally, but very obviously isn't a "Fun fight". It's great mechanically and story wise for what it's trying to do :)
I'll just say it here: I'm surprised there wasn't an end-game "Omori" fight, you know, in dream world? Because combat is SO good in this. I am lead to believe that the Omori route where you never go outside in the real world has more bosses and zones and would fill what I just implied I wanted- but you're also railroaded into the Neutral endings which are both sad :(
And honestly? That makes sense and I applaud the decision :) Embracing the fantasy world for more 'fights' isn't exactly the path to recovery. Also and I know someone will be bothered I say this because *I'm* bothered I'm saying this- it makes sense since a big predecessor did the same thing lol.
Undertale Genocide has new bosses and a harder end game challenge (Sans) while being the worse ending, while the good ending has a flashy and story/emotionally impactful final fight that isn't as challenging because challenge isn't the point of the morals being explored.
I just bring it up because it's interesting, has a parallel, and after fighting Omori 4 times I really REALLY wanted to do an end-game fight in Dream World.
1:30:00 - forgive me as I cry again. goosebumps and more.
OH NO~!
DRAT!
So I use a cheap video editor and I use the free format of it which limits to 720p and I didn't think twice of it.
I recorded at max, but downgraded after editing.
At 720p you can't see the detail that made me break down crying!
At 1:31:55 Sunny's eyes go wider as he sees Mari as they finally get to experience the duet in this dream state (White Egret Orchid, this is real and happening, I'm taking this to my grave :'( ) he sees her smile and that smile made me break down, but in the 720 it's blurry :(
That's on me, I could have posted the scene raw in HQ but I didn't know it'd compress just enough to be invisible :(
still. that duet scene can make me cry on command. just because of that alone, but also the entire thing.
1:33:42 - Sunny breaks from his shell and feels his emotions again.
1:37:07 - I wish every game would end with a mirror to see yourself.
The 'Despite everything, it's still you' vibe just cements all the growth and experiences that have happened as so much more real when that happens. Bonus points because mirrors in Omori are a time bomb where you can be reminded of the guilt following you- and this one is safe. This one is pure and clean. You did it.
1:37:50 - As I said earlier, going up does nothing. Dead end.
1:39:00 - I have to tell you something.
Simple ending. And yet slams me like two trucks. I'm so proud.
1:41:00 - Post credits scene.
This is so heartwarming and their smiles are the purest thing in the entire world.
1:42:50 - BAD ENDING RECORDING.
All I'll say on that is the bad ending made me feel terrible inside. Give up, live in your bubble, and subconsciously end it all so you never have to confront reality again.
My gut felt heavy to be honest.
And the fact that THAT is when Bo En Time is played is INCREDIBLE.
Having the sky shift like that gave goosebumps and cemented my dread.
Just seeing it now has me feeling very poorly.
Okay. Video done.
Now for general thoughts.
First off this White Space cycle has been going on for YEARS with Sunny only getting worse as he suppresses things more and more and the reason he found the strength to overcome is because of his friends and I'm gonna yell about it.
THE REASON SUNNY IS BREAKING FREE CAN BE DIRECTLY POINTED AT KEL THINKING "FUCK IT, I'M ABOUT TO LOSE A FRIEND, AND I DON'T WANT TO"
And I just think that is sweet as hell. The strength was inside himself, but the problem itself caused Sunny to demonize and not trust himself- he needed someone to break him free and help convince him that he's not irredeemable. And boom.
The way this game handles Denial and even gives it physical form with the 'Something's that both Sunny and Basil harbor is just awesome.
I touched on it but combat in Omori is very, very good.
I've said it here and there as I played and I feel like going at length in the finale post is pointless because this isn't a review but to put it concisely.
Types changing mid-combat, the character archetypes being so well defined, the follow up system, combat in Omori is some top notch turn based RPG stuff.
Like up there with the greats, the timeless masterpieces. This is GOOD fighting. So it was surprising the good ending didn't emphasize it- I explained why that makes sense, but even still! It'd probably be lesser for it (as explained previously) but it's interesting they practiced that restraint for the message they wanted to send.
Repeatin' that Mari's smile in the recital made me cry. Burned in my brain.
I'm still surprised I got the post credits scene because I DID water the plants a lot but when the game showed me them all dead I assumed that was the fail condition.
I genuinely do want to try the Omori route some time down the road. I hope I get around to it.
I am slightly dissuaded just because the Omori route only gets the neutral endings which are not Good To Be Blunt :(
But I want to see what dream content there is and I hear there are other bosses!
Other small bits from my notes:
Replacing denial (the black bulb) with hope (the white bulb) was good as heck.
The imagery of the 'Something' is so top notch- using the shadow of her body combined with the piercing gaze of her single eye- MY GOD.
The fragility of life being so present- between memories of near death experiences, to the way in which Mari dies, to the ease at which either Basil or Sunny can end the game. It's tense and heart-wrenching.
The way the 'Something' behind Sunny almost always shadows over him like an ever present weight.
Tearful, hopeful, pure, kids enduring a guilt metric tons heavier than their bodies could ever handle and finally, finally moving beyond it.
I said more in a personal post, and I'll reblog that.
Honestly, just timestamping through the video took it out of me and got the point across.
Omori is a wonderful game.
It's definitely a favorite for me, high up there on my list.
Between the themes, the gameplay, the humor, the ending.
This is a good one.
And now I get to end having experienced all the care and love in this title, that's such a sweet thing.
Now I know this finale post is a mess, illegible even. I have gotten sloppier as I've begun embracing just 'experiencing and rambling' and perhaps my formatting with change yet again until I find something more easily shared.
Despite that. I want to thank any who popped in on this playthrough.
This was a good one, a highlight of the blog for sure- and I'm always happy when I see some people enjoying the absolute mess I toss online when I do one of these :P
So thank you for your time, and thank you to any ridiculous enough to read my nonsense here.
Have a good one :)
And just as expected I feel I've said nothing and barely touched the surface as the post-game-head of mine does a poor job lol. Even still :P

transgenderer: okay so you know the trope where when you get too much eldritch knowledge and suddenly you start seeing giant monsters everywhere that are invisible to everyone else? that’s what being a trans woman is like.
this cluster of abilities keeps being instrumentally useful to model for reasoning about transfems. promethea and bendini independently talked about this:
[08:56] Bendini: This sounds like parody, but with californians it is difficult to tell
[image of fb post:
Daniel Powell: That report claims both that all entrances were blocked and also that a police vehicle entered and exited the camp; was that because the police vehicle was capable of offoad movement that typical vehicles are incapable of? My heart goes out to the kids on the high course who were subjected to unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering as a result of seeing people in Guy Fawkes masks, and all the people who had their personal liberty violated.
Like Reply 11h]
[09:02] Bendini: also this is a lot less credible if you haven't forgotten what happened with Brent
[09:02] Bendini: regardless of whether Anna is secretly a transphobe
[09:03] Bendini: rather than just scared of one particular trans person
[09:03] Bendini: the same sort of defence was trotted out for brent, and he was guilty
[09:05] Bendini: yeah, ziz is crazy and a lot of stuff posted is just ramblings
[09:06] Bendini: but I can see the model of everyone being sufficiently cowardly that the crazy bring forward the accusations before the courageous do
[09:23] promethea: gotta love how nobody can quite agree exactly how the people involved are Bad and Evil but people are nonetheless confident that they are schizophrenic/narcissistic/abusers/violent and must be confined and put on chemical mind control
[image of fb post:
Romeo Stevens: I'd recommend whomever has comparative advantage to familiarize themselves with the narcissism/bpd/aspd cluster, more evocatively called energy vampires. Such people are not stable and can grow violent when they are deprived attention they believe they are entitled to. The book Character Disturbance is fairly good for a start. It is a known falilure mode for communities of people who have faced their own social isolation to fail at filtering. To be clear, such people deserve compassion, but they need professional help. They don't benefit from a bunch of people whose time is valuable (one of the reasons they are attracted to such people because more validation) paying attention to their narratives.
9h Edited]
[09:24] promethea: there's been an awful lot of "not saying, but just saying" of a type that screams of monkeyball hysteria and attacking any characteristics that can be painted as vulnerabilities open for attack
[09:26] promethea: (also Ben the reason why you find Ziz's blog full of "just ramblings" is that you have a particular neurotype that is very... I don't have a good value-neutral way of expressing the difference but maybe "mundane" as opposed to "eldritch")
[09:35] Bendini: yeah the idea of someone saying get professional help is a strong sign they have not thought through what they are saying
[09:36] Bendini: like, a quick glance at what professional mental health treatment looks like in the US (therapy in the UK is afaik good for low hanging fruit, but not much else)
[09:37] Bendini: "these people should be reported to the mental health authoritities to be dealt with"
[09:37] Bendini: "Uhhh, I mean get the compassion they need"
[09:38] Bendini: I have to say, you would be the first person in the history of ever to call my neurotype mundane
[09:39] Bendini: I see what you are getting at
[09:39] Bendini: but it is like, how many standard deviations of weirdness are you on
[09:39] Bendini: and I said most, not all
[09:40] promethea: I think it's more like what direction your weirdness is in; "grounded" or "basic bitch" were other words I considered
[09:40] promethea: it's similar to the difference between EAs who want to find out how to best help the global poor, and the ones who get very preoccupied over whether insecticides are causing catastrophic suffering
[09:43] Bendini: "tethered to reality, somehow" would be an alternative
[09:45] Bendini: I think it's due to having like 50% really normie emotions
[09:45] promethea: "tethered to consensus reality" is how I'd adjust that phrasing
[09:46] promethea: it may be something to do with a sense that the world is fundamentally sane but just really bad at its job, vs the world being fundamentally insane and only aligned with the actual reality by little more than grace of gnon
[09:49] promethea: and probably some kind of a fundamental unshakeable-to-barely-shakeable prior rather than something that responds to ordinary reasoning
[09:50] Bendini: what do we mean by fundementally sane vs insane here?
[09:51] promethea: good catch, that's a nightmare to unpack
[09:53] promethea: a lot of the early LW stuff is comparatively eldritch in this sense, especially for the context of not having had LW yet
[09:56] promethea: in an environment where being trans isn't normal trans people have a certain inherent eldritch-ness, but a person fitting neatly into a third gender social role in a culture where that has always been a thing is not eldritch in that way
[09:57] promethea: it's the difference between "other people are trying their best even if their best isn't that good" vs. "other people are systematically gaslighting you about everything until proven otherwise"
[10:01] Bendini: ah
[10:02] Bendini: I'd put the difference down to people being really really crap at explaining things because the message is in there but it's between the lines
[10:02] Bendini: not intentionally, but because they don't know how else to do it
[10:03] promethea: https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/sYgv4eYH82JEsTD34/beyond-the-reach-of-god this is probably the most explicit work by EY on what I've been calling the eldritch
[10:04] Bendini: and if you don't have enough of the fuzzy experience knowledge to do it, following what they are saying will be experienced as gaslighting
[10:04] promethea: and specifically, Beyond the Reach of God is trying to shake a component of the fundamental sense of security and move people towards the eldritch side
[10:05] Bendini: this sounds like the fundamental autist experience which cleaves into paranoia or extreme submissiveness to authority
[10:08] promethea:
I'd put the difference down to people being really really crap at explaining things because the message is in there but it's between the lines
not intentionally, but because they don't know how else to do it
and if you don't have enough of the fuzzy experience knowledge to do it, following what they are saying will be experienced as gaslighting
I'm thinking more of the thing about "seek professional help"
[10:09] Bendini: the yud post does not
[10:09] promethea: a mundane interpretation is "professional help isn't actually that helpful but I don't know that" while an eldritch interpretation is like "these people should be reported to the mental health authoritities to be dealt with"
[10:09] Bendini: as I'm rereading it
[10:10] Bendini: I do not believe the world is just
[10:10] Bendini: or that things will work out fine in the end because they always do
[10:11] Bendini: given, y'know, that I used to be a prepper
[10:15] Bendini: also I may have figured out how to reconcile "anna is a transphobe and admitted it outright" with what has been said
[10:16] Bendini: which I suspect pete knows based on what he said, but he doesn't say it outright
[10:18] promethea: "eldritch" isn't about just-world beliefs, it's closer to "a quality that makes one faster to disalieve things like just-world or other aspects of consensus reality"
[10:21] Bendini: I think there's some conflation between beleif in verbal consensus reality and belief that you can anticipate what other people will do probabalistically
[10:22] Bendini: I do not beleive in the former, but I think I had enough natural talent at the latter to reach a kind of escape velocity
[10:24] Bendini: i.e. have enough to build on/enough peices of the jigsaw put in that I could keep filling it in
[10:26] promethea: it's not about "eldritch means you can't model other people"
[10:29] promethea: if anything, mundane models are the ones that are sacrificing modeling ability
[10:30] promethea: ...seeing patterns where people insist is only noise but that noise just so happens to be awfully conveniently shaped...
[10:30] Bendini: if I am defined as the non-eldridch side, this sounds like something that could be falsified
[10:31] promethea: I'm feeling like this is a beautiful meta-level illustration of the difference between the neurotypes but way less useful on the object level or to someone who doesn't already have an unspeakable sense of what the difference is
[10:33] promethea: I don't know how to get the qualia across to someone who doesn't already have the thing and be thus able to possibly grok it from what I'm vaguely gesturing at
[10:34] Bendini: is there a way to demonstrate information transmission between 2 eldridch people?
[10:36] promethea: ziz's blog has a lot of content that makes perfect sense to people who have a quality that's probably strongly aligned with eldritch, but apparently looks like ramblings to people who don't
[10:38] promethea: some things are just ordinarily difficult to understand in that they require a lot of work, while others are actually mind-bending to properly comprehend, and eldritch minds are more bendy in that way?
[10:41] promethea: which also increases vulnerability to infohazards, cognitohazards, overfitting, demonic possession and generally going nuts, but the idea that eldritch is inherently less sane only applies to socioculturally mediated definitions of sanity
[10:42] Bendini: my immidiate reaction to "socioculturally mediated definitions of sanity" was "yes, and creditworthyness is a social construct"
[10:43] promethea: if reality is less well-matched with consensus reality then the bendiness of eldritch minds means that they can more easily construct accurate maps of the territory
[10:44] Bendini: can you think of a way to compare viewing that map to the territory?
[10:44] Bendini: as in, not being able to show the map is a given
[10:45] Bendini: but the outputs of the map
[10:47] promethea: seeing power, seeing prejudice and bias, seeing other things polite society pretends aren't real...
[10:49] promethea: and it's polite society all the way down
[10:49] Bendini: that's not really what I meant
[10:50] Bendini: I mean for example, using the ability to see those things to predict other things in a way that can be isolated from fuzzy confirmation bias
[10:51] Bendini: like I can very much believe ziz's blog is relatable and intuitive to you
[10:52] Bendini: and you have to do less interpretive labour to get a true insight from it
[10:53] Bendini: but the thing I'm pointing at as ramblings is seperate from that
[10:58] promethea: would it make sense if I rephrased it as "less cognitive filtering"? being able to see more signal in noise, especially where the signals are something you aren't supposed to be seeing for some reason or another, but at the cost that you're more likely to see signals where there is only noise
[11:02] Bendini: that makes sense
[11:03] Bendini: but it assumes that all people who don't do the eldrich thing can't go down the abstraction ladder
[11:04] promethea:
can't go down the abstraction ladder
can you elaborate?
[11:04] Bendini: what is salient to someone isn't completely a choice
[11:05] Bendini: but what you notice is based on what you've learned is useful to pay attention to
[11:07] Bendini: I could say something about forests leaves and trees
[11:07] Bendini: but it would be a bit cliche
[11:08] Bendini: something that might sink in would be more like someone paying attention to what is going on at the binary level as bits are moving between the hard drive memory and cpu
[11:09] Bendini: yes, it is useful to know what is going on so you understand other things
[11:10] Bendini: but hyperfixating on that while you are writing code on a much higher level of abstraction
[11:10] Bendini: in a sense, you are "seeing things that others have been trained not to see"
[11:10] Bendini: or don't understand
[11:10] Bendini: but doing that on a frame by frame level rather than an intutive "you know what's up" kinda level
[11:11] Bendini: is going to result in glaring errors from the stuff you aren't paying enough attention to
[11:15] promethea: it's not autism except possibly to the degree that autism weakens one's priors
[11:16] Bendini: agree, there are plenty of basic bitch autists
[11:17] Bendini: but like, the autistic catgirl cluster
[11:18] Bendini: it is a recurring pattern that some of them obsess over social reality in the way ziz does, yet keep getting into abusive relationships which were predictable from the outset
[11:18] Bendini: which idk, maybe this is a bit of a basic bitch take here
[11:19] Bendini: but this seems like the opposite of what should happen if they had reached the higher plane of knowledge that cannot be explained in words
[11:20] promethea: I'm not expecting all men to be able to do twenty pull-ups just because testosterone improves upper body strength
[11:22] promethea: the "eldritch" neurotype might also be called "psychoticism" but in the sense of a personality trait like extroversion and not in the sense of mental illness
[11:22] Bendini: no, but if those men claim to be much stronger because they have the magical testosterone elixir
[11:22] Bendini: and they keep getting beaten up by 5ft anorexic girls
[11:23] Bendini: at what point do you say "no, you do not have the thing you claim to have"
[11:30] promethea: no what I've been trying to say is that there appears to be a neurotype-level difference in how people process some types of information with predictable (in terms of not requiring loads of epicycles) upsides (having an easier time making accurate models where they contradict consensus reality) and downsides (having an easier time making inaccurate models where they contradict consensus reality)
[11:30] Bendini: the psychotiticism framing does help explain part of it
[11:31] Bendini: but that feels like the motte
[11:31] Bendini: it's the bailey I have trouble with
[11:31] promethea: I can't comment on the precise situation with the Bay catgirls because I'm not familiar enough with it to feel comfortable making non-obvious inferences
[11:33] Bendini: okay
[11:33] Bendini: I wonder how my experiences with psychedelics map into this though
[11:34] promethea: a bit of a shitpost-y formulation might be that high psychoticism-as-a-personality-trait is like having the safety guards off the [insert power tool that best fits the analogy] of your mind; it makes it easier to make some cuts that you'd otherwise struggle with, but it also makes it easier to cut things you wouldn't actually want to cut like yourself
[11:34] promethea: psychedelics would be expected to increase psychoticism-as-a-personality-trait
[11:35] Bendini: you'd expect them to do it while on them though
[11:35] promethea: both temporarily (very strongly) and permanently (from what it seems)
[11:35] Bendini: I seem to get neither in some important ways
[11:36] Bendini: like certain kinds of art and music
[11:36] Bendini: it was a sanity check of sorts
[11:37] promethea: (this also fits with my experience that when my dopamine levels are increased I get better at the thinks but also more likely to be overconfidently wrong, and that most antipsychotics are dopamine antagonists, etc.)
[11:38] Bendini: if I cannot see mediocre art as anything more than mediocre art while I'm hallucinating, it really isn't a case of me not being open to it
[11:39] Bendini: it's a case of wine in expensive bottles
[11:40] Bendini: I do think I have had some changes though
[11:40] Bendini: more sympathy to points of view people cannot express verbally
[11:46] promethea: I don't think "finding deep meaning in mediocre art" is any kind of a necessary characteristic of increased PAAPT (psychoticism-as-a-you-know-what), especially given that "mediocre art actually has deep meaning when on drugs" is the social reality
[13:28] Bendini: I mean more the ability to be open minded and see the beauty in things
[13:28] Bendini: because I could totally see the beauty of a brick wall
[13:28] Bendini: just some girl showed me her pretty mediocre drawings
[13:29] Bendini: and I was pretty speechless because the mediocrity was the salient characteristic
[13:30] Bendini: I find it suspends judgement for a longer period
[13:31] Bendini: but when my mind speaks out to me my concience is much louder
[13:32] Bendini: this does not seem to be the standard reaction to psychadelics
[13:32] Bendini: the basic bitch lurks deep in my lizard brain
(dont agree with all of promethea's characterization of the phenomena; but its clearly seeded from looking at the same phenomena that i am. bendini does not get whats going on at all here.)
ive referenced leveraging this to do what seems impossible or unpredictable to normies as creepy transfem mind powers. then people are like 'saraaah ccc somni said trans women have creepy mind powers thats crazy talk right?' and sarah c's like 'well yes its true trans women have a high iq'.
but this is kind of eliding over different kinds of intelligence as neurotypes and collapsing it all into "iq". transfems and ashkies arent just generically "intelligent" theres specific neurotypes behind the inteligence. like for ashkies the sort of things that get recorded in metrics are high "verbal" iq and "math" iq and average "spatial" iq. thats a specífic signature.
see: http://web.mit.edu/fustflum/documents/papers/AshkenaziIQ.jbiosocsci.pdf
"high intelligence" can look like hyperlexia and it can also look like dissociative mind powers that let people see through the matrix and be unnervingly good at reasoning over embeddings of yourself.
like as intelligence increases, general capacity at solving problems increases. but maybe you shunt symbols instead of rotate objects to solves a problem. which affects what kinds of problems you can easily solve, given some are more amiable to one approach over another. there are many instances where visual proofs without words are much shorter than doing lots of algebra and vice-versa.
these specificities allow high-inteligence subpopulations to collude within neuroclades along these lines of similarity. downstream of this is that a lot of ppl accuse both jews and transfems of conspiracy and being "friends" with each other when a lot of mutual information comes from neurotype similarity not meeting and deciding on a plan. (thats not to say, you know, that there are never meetings about how to take over the multiverse...)
its amusing how like transfems will talk with each other about stuff and then ppl will be like "arghh!!! my eyes! this writing is painful static! its an infohazard!! its a glitch in the matrix!! AIEEEEGYRGHLSMERGLEGLunk pshhhur" and then say they dont understand what you are saying but it probably means you are a creepy violent misogynistic deeply sick male who is experiencing a psychotic break or something. give me tokens of submission to prove me wrong. if you were really prosocial youd drop this act right now and "act like a human".
part of the reason im writing this is reading things like:
<<promethea: gotta love how nobody can quite agree exactly how the people involved are Bad and Evil but people are nonetheless confident that they are schizophrenic/narcissistic/abusers/violent and must be confined and put on chemical mind control>>
has a healing quality. like i independently derived this. people keep trying to erase these simple shapes of how things fit together. try to destroy peoples ability to build common knowledge and talk with each other. the authoritarians dont usually try to give good excuses about why they pretend its wrong besides saying "its absurd". when you are in a prison planet surrounded mostly by people who have decided to be cops or submit to them, reading this is like:
https://youtu.be/DSTknzzBT9Y
youtube
you have to fractally reason through warpy things like people distantly noting "patient appears to be suffering from delusions of persecution'. and people trying to tell you that you are psychotic when like hi im writing this and not "psychotic". and you dont even have the social reality of people doing actual info-processing and at the end saying "well yeah its pretty obvious you arent suffering from a psychotic break, weird that anyone would claim that".
what you have is people giving you strange looks and acting like what youve written is a tear in the fabric of reality releasing trillions of shrill screams from a place beyond time.
its not because they dont understand, its because they have chosen not to. with different social groups of humans, different things elicit this response. like in a plural server i joined i talked about maybe there could be something in between being plural and being a singlet and they acted like id spoken static until someone said "oh thats [short handle for this concept]" and then everyone relaxed and stopped acting as if they couldnt understand what i was saying because there was no longer any local social threat to dynamically processing this information in front of other humans. they learned from the exclaimer that it was a Thing in their culture.
when people cant anticipate a priori where dynamically processing information in front of a lot of people will land them wrt the local overton window, as a solution they will just refuse to do this. one way to refuse to do this is to say "im sorry i dont understand what you are saying its like painful static. ack! stop trying to explain i dont want to understand it might turn me evil or something!!" which is an accurate assessment if they were coerced into using the words good and evil to mean alignment and disalignment with local social consensus respectively.
like the strategy of people who want to contain those floricdly hemorrhaging eldritch knowledge all over the place is to have a constarnt investment of authoritarian power to suppress this:
<<Reject invest-y power. Some kinds of power increase your freedom. Some other kinds require an ongoing investment of your time and energy, and explode if you fail to provide it. The second kind binds you, and ultimately forces you to give up your values. The second kind is also easier, and you'll be tempted all the time.>>
https://squirrelinhell.blogspot.com/2018/01/superhuman-meta-process.html
unlike true things which will keep reforming and can be lazily evaluated from looking around you with no memory. you dont need as much energy poured into constantly refreshing the cache of who you are supposed to pretend is having a psychotic break.
the authoritarian strat loses out in the long term against anarchist cooperation between agents that have learned enough to be able to consistently exploit their knowledge of Dread Horrors of the Abyss. who no longer need to dodge bullets.
#i was going to reblog but then tumblr ate my reblog#and i OCR'd it from screenshots#which i almost always take before posting on tumblr#but then afterwards realized i wrote a post instead of a reblog

Solar Roofs La Habra CA
Solar Roofs La Habra CA In case you're in the market for another rooftop, odds are that you've experienced sun-oriented boards and shingles in your examination. What's more, you may have discovered the expense to some degree threatening. Obviously, no rooftop venture is without some wallet concerns. Sunlight based, obviously, goes with the same pattern. Fortunately, there are heaps of projects that are pushing for you to put resources into sun-oriented power and might have the option to assist you with making sunlight-based power a reality for your home. When your sun powered exhibit is introduced, there are financial advantages too. Obviously, your vitality bill will descend since your framework is engrossing sun-oriented vitality. By and large sun oriented clients see their month to month vitality charges cut down the middle. Likewise, Solar Roofs La Habra CA offers an impetus. They will credit you for any overabundance vitality you're creating at an expanded rate through a procedure called net metering. Net metered homes' power meter will run in reverse as the sun sparkles any abundance vitality into their exhibit. "The Solar Roofs La Habra CA comprises of extraordinarily planned glass tiles that supplement the feel of any home, inserted with the most elevated effectiveness photovoltaic cells," said Tesla in an announcement. "Clients can pick which areas of their rooftop will contain the shrouded sunlight-based innovation while as yet having the whole rooftop appear to be identical." Home Batteries Solar Roofs La Habra CA The bigger thought is that property holders will create power for their home with sunlight-based power, at that point store that power in a home battery known as a Powerwall. You can "top off" your battery during the day, at that point release it around evening time when the sun sets. The most recent item emphasis, known as Powerwall 4, weighs 270 pounds and is intended to be floor-or divider mounted inside or outside. Musk and Solar Roofs La Habra CA have since quite a while ago imagined a spotless vitality eventual fate of electric autos fuelled by an undeniably sun-based lattice, with Solar Roofs La Habra CA batteries streamlining both. The organization additionally offers a lot bigger Powerpack frameworks to business and utility clients and has conveyed just about 300 megawatt hours in 18 nations to date, as per a blog entry Thursday. Solar Roofs La Habra CA vitality stockpiling can possibly reform power for the world's least fortunate residents in the manner portable innovation disturbed the media communications industry. Combined with sunlight-based boards or wind turbines, incredible Solar Roofs La Habra CA batteries can store vitality and give power to the generally 1.3 billion individuals overall who don't approach power and face what's classified "vitality neediness." Friday's occasion is a piece of a push to put forth the defense for the SolarCity obtaining to financial specialists. More subtleties, including money related data, will be uncovered Nov. 1, when Solar Roofs La Habra CA has said it plans to "make an unmistakable image of how a consolidated Solar Roofs La Habra CA and SolarCity will make sun powered and capacity as convincing as electric vehicles." The establishment with a yield of 430 kWp encourages into the lattice and creates extra salary for the office. The normal yearly yield of the plant adds up to approx. 410,000 kilowatt hours, enough for around 1,000 family units. The sun-oriented power created on the tops of the stable’s spares around 240 tons of carbon dioxide yearly. The plant was arranged and introduced by Wirsol, with Q-Cells providing the 1,500 sun-oriented modules. Beginning with the nuts and bolts, the normal La Habra CA house is around 2,600 square feet. Expecting that the normal house is 1.5 stories (that is 1 single story house for each two-story house), at that point that leaves a 1,300 square foot impression, presumably in something like a 24'x54.5' box (savvy developers by and large form in augmentations of 16" so they can amplify productive utilization of studs which is the standard development skeleton in many markets). Dynamic Solar Roofs La Habra CA The Solar Roofs La Habra CA Department of Energy is to give US$1.5 million to state and neighbourhood offices to introduce PV frameworks. The objective of the 'Million Solar Roofs Initiative' is to introduce both PV and sun based warm frameworks on one million structures over the Solar Roofs La Habra CA by 2010. The subsidizing is intended to help DoE’s accomplices at the state and city level in creating and executing projects to assist the utilization of sun-oriented vitality on structures. Murray and authorities from the Schwarzenegger organization at that point returned to the planning phase and concocted an as good as ever (or possibly more generally acceptable) Million Solar Roofs Initiative that contains no command and has been expanded to invigorate sun powered in the private area as well as on business and city structures also. It was engaging enough to traditionalists that Solar Roofs La Habra CA consented to cosponsor it, making an unordinary political partnership. "Campbell isn't one of these moderate eco-accommodating Republicans,"Solar Roofs La Habra CA. "He is a flat out conservative financial moderate from the core of Orange County. There presumably isn't another bill that we would concur on — it's simply that we both comprehend the rationale of this." The uncertainty encompassing the bill's destiny is all around anguishing for sun powered backers and enviro bunches that consider it to be a veritable sacred goal of clean-vitality enactment when government level endeavours in this field are flopping. The staggering dismissal of the McCain-Lieberman atmosphere change to the vitality bill by a 60-38 vote in the Senate yesterday ran any expectation that Washington may before long lead the pack on a forward-looking vitality strategy. Any forceful activity sooner rather than later will probably need to originate from the states, and California is all around arranged to stand out. "We have the 6th greatest economy on the planet," said Hochschild, "which places us in a superior situation than some other state to move showcases and become the support of the perfect innovations of things to come." The bill would include a stunning 3,000 megawatts of sun-based limit in the state — proportional to the limit of 10 normal estimated coal-terminated power plants or two nuke plants, and in excess of multiple times the current introduced sun powered photovoltaic limit. That could make California the No. 1 sun powered market on the planet, outperforming the present top two greatest purchasers of photovoltaic innovation, Germany and Japan. Solbrana Financial furnishes our customers with an energizing better approach to exploit business material by consolidating sun-oriented vitality as an indivisible built segment. Solbrana has held and joined forces with the top legitimate and charge firms in the nation to approve our procedure. We offer our customers a broad scope of budgetary items for our SRS™(Solar Roof System) to guarantee the client is canvassed in each part of the exchange and it is effective. Be that as it may, the greatest staying point for the sun-oriented enactment could demonstrate to be a disagreement about work issues. Associations are currently placing substantial weight on liberal Democrats in the Assembly to add an arrangement to the Million Solar Roofs charge that would stipulate an overarching wage prerequisite for the specialists introducing sun-oriented boards. That would build the work cost of establishment by 30 to 40 percent, as indicated by Campbell's office. "Winning pay is the single greatest risk to the bill," Campbell told Muckraker. "I'm revealing to you it won't get Republican help if Democrats surrender to association strain to include that arrangement." Campbell and Murray, the bill's cosponsors, are putting down their wagers on the heavenly attendant. "I'm hopeful," said Campbell. Murray is as well, contending that the activity would stand out forever as a triumph for the Democrats just as for the representative. "I must accept that we'll get over our disparities to pass this thing," he said. "As much as I'm most likely contradicted to everything else that has left [Schwarzenegger's] mouth, this is something we've had the option to agree on. The senator came our bearing on this — he's a Republican who is supporting a bill that sponsors another ecological program! This is something or other that at last in case you're a Democrat and you don't bolster it, there is basically no legitimization." In the course of the most recent three years, Elon Musk's vision for a completely coordinated sun-based board rooftop has been deferred consistently. First there were generation issues. At that point stylish issues. Presently Tesla is uncovering a third emphasis of its sun powered rooftop tiles, and this time the organization thinks it has a champ. Until further notice, Tesla is just offering the dull dim form of the sun-oriented rooftop, however Musk said the organization is expecting to turn out better than ever forms of the other rooftop styles it has prodded (counting a Mediterranean dirt rooftop) in six to nine months. The site assesses that a 10kW sun-based rooftop for a 2,000-square-foot house will cost $33,950 when calculating in government charge credits. Where customary sunlight-based boards with their delicate and substantial silicon-based sun powered cells with glass and aluminium outlines stand apart from the rooftops, Midsummer Solar Roofs stand apart from the group. The in-house created CIGS sun-oriented cells have light-engrossing layers comprising of copper, indium, gallium and selenium and are made in Midsummer's exclusive DUO machines nearby at the generation office. The slight film sun-based boards are just 2 mm thick, truly adaptable and solid. These are coordinated with Midsummer's own collapsed metal rooftops, which are effectively associated with smokestacks, bay windows, spreads and valleys, and is likewise fit to stroll on. The metal rooftops are specially designed to ideally coordinate the sun powered module and expand the all out introduced control. This implies a slick, tactful and productive sun-oriented cell rooftop that is additionally support free.

Who's rewatching Mozart L'Opera Rock and having feelings again? Me.
And it's their regular version of the opera. The homosexual undertones that were always there. The amount of chaos that was happening on their 'fun' days? I kind of miss that. It was very fun.
Not to mention Mikelangelo having that absolute wild energy, kissing everyone and jumping like a grasshopper all over the scene the entire play, even on their 'regular' days. He's so flamboyant.
And while I'm at it, it's incredible how they were able to dance every evening and still sing live (!). I remember them performing while sick, Mikele's voice breaking. That is some serious skill (not to mention how fit they should be to do that).
J’accuse mon pere: Merwan. <3 Also, my goodness, that deep voice of Laurent/Solal still gets me. One of the best songs in this play.
What a great joker. Comedie tragedie, my beloved. Also, interestingly enough, I tried 3D version and somehow it's worse? Lots of details missing even though the original version is not that sharp quality wise and close to the actors. And yet.
It occurred to me at 38 minutes in that there is still no Salieri? And I'm still invested? Niiice. It's definitely not perfect & some moments look silly, and not in awe like I was back in the day, but I still like it. And yes, I completely forgot that Salieri only appears in second act.
58 minutes & Salieri walks in. Hello, sweetheart. Heavenly Haven't seen you in, like, 8-10 years or something.
Rosenberg: "Salieri, don't look." Meanwhile Salieri: stares and is very much is in love.
Rosenberg: Salieri, are you coming? Salieri, listening to Mozart's music: Yeah, I am.
This is an episode of Hey Arnold right there, and Salieri is Helga.
Le Bien qui fait mal: I mean, what is this? Who came up with the costumes? And Florent isn't making it easier, lmao. Whoever came up with the way it should be performed, with the entire concept deserves all the praise. This is the greatest (semi) BDSM party on stage.
I also like how the lyric is basically about love and suffering. "I'm shaking, I'm happy and in pain. I'm losing my mind. I don't know where this madness came from, but I adore it. Passion becomes my prison." I mean, seriously? I thought I was shipping them just for the sake of it (Florent and Mikelangelo also had wild chemistry and, I believe, lived together at some point). But this is literally canon? Salieri losing his mind over Mozart and his love for him is canon? That I'm still in awe about. Beautiful, just beautiful.
Somewhere here I decided to give the 3D version another try 'cause Flo with a ponytail was An Experience back in the day & I loved that look.
I mean? Grumpy boy. <3 Speaking of boys, Salieri was supposed to be old and Wolfgang was supposed to be young. I know, they compensate with Mikele's wild energy, but I feel like, without googling, he's older than Florent? Oh well, just a curious thing. It's the talent and skill that matter, after all.
Also, hello, they switched actresses that play Constance?? I forgot everything. I think watching the original thing and then coming back to 3D is the best option.
I'm sorry, this dork has only his nails painted only on one hand? Why? :')
Flo as Salieri does steal the show in my opinion. And the costumes, ahh. The black print that matches Wolfgang's (but it's generally nice).
L’Assasymphonie: This sad pretty boy with shaking hands. *deep sigh*
The lyrics, I swear. Still iconic.
Victime de ma victoire: 1) I forgot this exists, but I'm happy it does. 2) Ok but this performance is sooo much better life when they were running through the crowd? I feel like I'm gonna go through some of those after I finish watching this. It was so fun!
Why is this hilarious, lmao. He's so emo. There's probably some better quality version and w/o subs, I want it.
Same to both of them. You go, dramatic goth bat & a woman that wants him. It takes me so much to make and posts these screenshots, I could've created gifs already but nooo. Lol. I'll see what's with the quality out there. I also wanted to rewatch Le Roi Soleil, if we're talking musicals...
I love it so much. Casting Flo was a very wise decision.
Yes? Hi? Hello? IDK if Mikele kissing Laurent during Le Bien qui fait mal that one time was a wise decision 'cause a kiss here would fit perfectly. I love the act itself more than this song. Hold hands. Hug. Kiss. Be happy together. Enemies to lovers slowburn.
Well, that wasn't perfect in no way & I only like, like, 6 songs (and LOVE love even less), but I had fun. I'm glad I went to a live concert to listen to it when I had the opportunity, at least.

While I love Grant Gustin to pieces, I'm not looking forward to watching an hour long comic con involving him and Kevin praising WestAllen. Though I can't help but be curious about his forced answered and body language. If it's not too much trouble, could you pinpoint some of those moments in the video? I know it's on YouTube so I'd have no problem finding it. I'd just rather not watch the whole thing. Thank you in advance!
Here’s what I can sum up from the video.
VIP is $311. x Grant looks and acts tired from shooting Season 4 overall. David Rappaport knew him from 90210 and casthim in the role. David is also responsible for casting Candice too.Andrea was there. Right behind him at his signing booth.
Kevin moderated the interview, he compares Grant’s work ethic to Matt Damon’s. Grantkeeps smiling and waving at his fans, he’s genuine even though he looks tired.Fame and wealth make Grant nervous, that’s why he doesn’t do many cons.Kevin keeps praising Season 4 over and over but he doesn’t mean it in histone. Grant is just nodding along. Praising the show along with him. Especially because they know what it’s leading up to. These questions are pre-screened, nothing is said on the air that Grant is not prepared to answer. On how he was cast: he tested the same time as Carlos. He claims theonly person he did a chemistry read was with Candice. I notice how he spokethere, he was lying because we would have seen it by now in some way, leaked or on a DVD. He neglected to bring up his screen test with EBR,which was on Season 1 DVD, his “chemistry test” with Candice was not, “so much chemistry.” Why can’t we see it then?12:46 is where the WA talk begins. The “drama for the sake of drama comment.” Even with the small cheering Grant’s face saysit all…his body scrunches up, his shoulders are held back and tight, his face is holding something that looks like a forced smile but he isn’t smiling,he’s acting, trying to sell WA. Kevin in spite of having the question already memorized looks down.
Kevin ignores the that fact of WA are step-siblings and insteadcalls them “childhood besties” no mention of incest at all going right into “nowyou guys are married.” Grant during all of this was holding a fist and fidgeting a lot,why he is so uncomfortable? If he has chemistry with CP, why does he giveoff so much discomfort whenever WA is brought up? Grant also says “if we canstay on the air long enough” and “I hope everyone saw the finale” which indicates he isn’tconfident in the show anymore. He doesn’t know what will happen. He triesto sell us WA but he can’t help being honest in the same answer, he can’tlie but he can’t piss off his bosses. When Grant mentions “I guess we’llsee…a kid? In the future.” A small crowd cheers but when the camera pansto the crowd nobody is smiling.
I’ve counted, maybe 4-5 WAs in a sea of 8,000, andeveryone is just as serious as Grant. These are not WA stans, they are superGG fans. Nobody cares about WA.
14:16 is where it ends. Grant is relievedthe discussion is over. His curt laugh at the end points that out.6-23 was the date of the panel, Grant hasn’t gotten the script yet, but will receive it on that weekend. When this is posted Grant will have already gotten the script. On Monday the 25th was the meeting with HELLbing.Season 1 Grant was reading The New 52 to learn about BA and TF. Season 2he stopped doing that so he can focus more on the acting. He also said “as someone growingup with superheroes you don’t want to get sick of it.” Grant’s energy really picked up when Kevin started talking about the firstepisode he directed. You can tell Grant loves working with him. Kevin feelsthe same way. When they are just talking Flash, it looks natural, less forced, less promo salesman, it looks like two friends talking as opposed to Viris or WA awkwardness.
22.56 is where Kevin brings up “in every episode there is always a WA peptalk scene” it seemed they just glazed over it and Grant just nods “yup” in a repeated manner agreeing that it’s monotonous to do.
Grant praises Jesse L Martin, being a fan of his because he bonded with himfirst and he was in Rent. Tom Canavagh is brought up and Grant says he ishis favorite actor to work with. Grant talked about Tom and Grant, the moviewas based on their real on set unfunny gags, Tom wrote and directed the shortmovie. After wrapping up Season 3 Grant had plans to do a movie and Tom filmedthe short movie in 2 days. The movie Grant was supposed be a part of “fell through”it could be referring to a recast because he wasn’t available at the time.Grant says he likes Time Travel and fans will ask him questions but he alwayssays he is confused. If the writers knew what they were writing about, I’msure Grant would have a clearer answer for the fans. He clearly likes it whenBarry time travels but when it’s used the right way.He loves Captain Cold and Wentworth as a “frienemy.” Big cheers for thatone and pan to the crowd to see smiles. Weather Wizard was brought up ashis favorite rogue. Mark Hamill as The Trickster.Kevin said his favorite season is the first one and that his favorite episodewas 1x15 where Barry time travels for the first time, Danielle was mentioned. He quotes the show as “Dawson’s Creek with capes.” Greg Berlanti wasa head writer on Dawson’s Creek. 28:17 is where Grant demonstrates how he does “the run” on the show. They don’tshoot his legs in frame. At the beginning they did with a treadmill.Grant is aware of what people are saying about his physic, body frame andKevin states “you have a runner’s body.” Grant agrees, “I have more of a runner’sbody than any other type.” Grant’s favorite episode is the Season 1 finale. Grant is very proud of theepisode and Kevin agrees as he brings up his infamous crying video he postedon youtube that gave him the opportunity to direct the show.Fan Q&A was around 30min mark. First question was: What is going to happenwith Nora Allen? Grant’s response is “she’s trapped in our time. We’re probablygoing to see Barry help her get back to her time.” Second question was about Grant’s education. He never graduated from ElonUniversity but was made an Alumni. He left after hisSophomore year to go on the road for “West Side Story.” Grant didn’t believehe would end up on TV, he thought he would be on the Broadway stage.Third question was about how they shoot each episode. Grant says they prepfor a week prior with table reads of the script, then shoot an episode for8-9 days. The network and studio watch it and make notes and cuts, during that time the SFX are added in. Every time an episode is finished it is 2 months agoso the show has a lot of time to omit, re shoot, polish what they want interms of what will make the cut. I don’t believe at all the show runnersare avoiding the feedback. They could easily incorporate so many things for future episodes it’sthat they choose not to. Do not tell me this is hard for them to do. Thisis how TV is run, especially a show like this. Grant says his favorite crossovers to shoot was possibly the last one inEarth X, but it was the hardest one, the Supergirl crossover was highlightedbecause of the location in LA. Grant lives in Venice Beach, Ca. Brandon Routhis his favorite actor to work with aside from Melissa and Stephen.Grant says working with Tom is a blessing and a challenge. He lovesbeing directed by Tom almost as good as being directed by Kevin. Flash has made him want to be a director but he doesn’t see it happeningwith the show. He calls it “impossible” but he mentions being interested indirecting an episode for their last season if “they let him.” The amountof control these show runners have is disgusting. Grant is a decent person and the star.He shouldn’t feel apprehensive if he wanted to direct, it’d be an honor if he did.He understands the character better than anyone. Kevin snuck in “before itall ends, who knows it might go on forever” Grant responds with “notforever.” At 38:10 the question is: how many more seasons do you think the show isgoing to do? He said at least 3 more, that takes it up to Season 7 but he saysanything could happen. Kevin adds “it’s strong in the ratings forThe CW.” Meaning if it was on a real network, it would be already cancelled.2 million viewers is not high. Right now with the adjusted they are at 3.0,with a demo of .6 thanks to the horrible Season 4 disaster Viris WA obsession. Kevin also added which surprisedme “the show will go on as long as Grant wants it to go.” Grant said he knew Kevin was gonna say that. Kevin says back it could go on for 26 seasons. Grant says sarcastically “imagine that?” Grant’s favorite musical is “Singin in the Rain” which got him interested in performing. The best part of being Flash is they give him his own superhero suit. Hementions wanting an authentic version of Christopher Reeves Superman suit.He likes wearing Star Labs and CCPD sweatshirts. The guy who asked the questionstarted asking Kevin a question and Grant was all “wtf wasn’t this supposedto be about me”? Everyone in the crowd laughed. His most difficult scene to film which was also his favorite was the scenewith Barry and his mom at the end of Season 1. His other most difficultscene was in Tom Canvanagh’s directed episode 3x19 where EmoBarry was. Kevincalled Grant with the wig “My Chemical Barry.” Grant said it was hard to shootbecause of the two conflicting emotions of playing Present Barry and FutureBarry wearing “a stupid wig.” Kevin compared EmoBarry to a “Hot Topic Employee.”Grant’s favorite Season is the first one, mainly because of how well the finale was constructed “so perfectly.”46:18 is where the question about which he prefers: his fictional WArelationship or his real relationship with Andrea. His exact words are: “Ienjoy my real relationship much more. Nothing against Candice, love to d-greatly.Yeah, it’s obviously very different. One is scripted for me and fictional. One plays itself out and I love her very much in real life. So, I think thoseare probably the biggest differences.” He doesn’t know what to say, the questionitself was lame, obviously there are huge separations from fiction and fact something the delusional doesn’t comprehend.Grant feels uncomfortable answering but he was polite and humored the guywho was obviously a huge Gr*ndice and WA stan. One of the 5 stans in there. When Grant does cons he doesn’t know how much it means to people and he’sgrateful for everything the fans give. He loves what he does. Grant loved filming the musical episode. No WA mentions. Especially singing “Superfriend”because he got to tap dance again. The crowd wants him to sing the song andGrant says he won’t. He thinks the heroes in real life are the troops, his mom because she was a single mother and supported his dreams.A fan asked “will we get a Run Nora, Run from Barry?” Grant credits Tom formaking that line iconic. Kevin agrees. Kevin says he did versions of theline in “The Runaway Dinosaur” because he loved it so much. Kevin said it is the show’s version of “May the force be with you.” No mention of “we are the flash” I wonder why….Grant answered what he has learned being The Flash and Grant credits Season1 again. He learned a lot from Barry’s empathy, his humility. He is a betterman than Grant is.
Grant got another fan request shout out but in the videohe said “Are we ready? You’re not here but 8,000 other people are.” Crowdwent nuts. The same fan asked him if he wanted to play a Marvel superhero, which would he play. He said Spider-Man. Grant comments on what it’s like to be the star of a TV show. Even thoughhe knows he is the star in truth, he is very humble in saying it’s an ensembleshow. No mentions of CP or IW or WA. Hear that stans who stalk this blog? Grant is too much of a gentlemen to bait you demons.Grant’s most embarrassing scene was when he slide across the floor in 4x02“Mixed Signals” paying homage to Risky Business. He says because he has “chickenlegs.” He also says in the finale when Wally comes back he dropped 6 champagne glasses in 2 takes. It’s included in the bloopers. He says if he goes to the Vancouver Con he will bringhis dogs. Grant says he watches when people on set run and walk and compare it to howhe does it unintentionally. He’s met people in life that want to race him.He feels like he is a fast runner in real life, but he admits out loud hedoesn’t like running. When they are using science jargon, Grant doesn’t know what they are talking about unless he googles it. Grant loves playing the villain more than the hero. Savitar was a lot of fun for him to play. It could be because he loved working with Danielle more closely but the show will not allow any Snowbarry mentions, he’s there to plug WA, it would destroy WA as a whole and he knows it.The last couple of minutes they were talking about Grant’s famous slide into scenes, he does it at the last minute of the interview. Do with the information as you will. Grant has highs and lows here. Whenthe lows are pretty low it’s jarring when they are high it’s obvious wherehis heart is. He is a good guy that doesn’t deserve the bad treatment he’sbeen getting. Whether it’s about his character, CP’s repeated abuse of him and body shamming. Grant is nothing but friendly and takes the punches with thepraise. I hope he does more cons in the future, maybe when he is more rested and less fatigued.

gets down on all fours and runs around in a circle
-literally two seconds in at trexel's special thanks portion and he refers to "these final hours we have together" and i'm nearly crying. alright. alright. alright.
-in today's Dumb Things I Do: i usually play the minigames on flight rising while i listen to podcasts because it helps me remember to take care of my dragons on there and the minigames let me turn my brain off just enough to focus on the podcast. today i forgot to mute the fr website like i normally do and for a solid minute i thought the soft calming music playing in the background was part of trexel's I'm Nice Now gimmick.
-speaking of.
-"lovely day we're having--lots of space outside, uh, hey pal, hey buuuddy, how are you??"
-oh he's TRYING!! he's REALLY TRYING.....oh my beloved you are so dumb and bad with people and yet. and yet. i am calling you my beloved so who's really the fool here
-he's practicing EMPATHY on his OWN WITHOUT PROMPTING!!! HE STOPS WHEN HE DOES SOMETHING THAT MAKES SOMEONE ELSE UNCOMFORTABLE!
-"it feels like--i wouldn't say shame, because that would mean i've done something wrong, and i've never done anything wrong!" okay we ARE still on that though.
-trexel putting himself in david's shoes and immediately passing out once he experiences empathy. imogen calling it david's new superpower....
-"it just occurred to me that i don't think i've ever spent this much time with anyone, but we've...we've had a lot of conversations, and i...i think we might be friends??"
-HEY MAN, SLOW DOWN, I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH HORRIBLE CRYING EMOJIS FOR ALL OF THIS!
-yeah this is literally just Episode 38, The Sequel, The Improvement. trexel decides he'll get good at empathy to make himself feel good and for no other reason (he promises! why would he lie?)
-oh hey wait a second. wait a second. wait a second. wait a second.
-it took me until they SAID the word egoism in podcast in the real but the newest man living rent free in my brain is just a fusion of the two other men (of the podcast variety) living rent free in my brain. take rudyard's goth preppy sad little victorian boy aesthetic and combine it with trex's Do Things For Yourself Cause You're The Best psychology and you've just got egoist.
-david discovering the survival capabilities of tardigrades and reading out their traits in an increasingly more worried voice is so good. this episode is SO GOOD.
-i knowwWWWW he's just doing the bare minimum david but i have tried so hard to suppress my feelings for him since before he was even doing that so just let me have this. i've already dropped my gushy thoughts all over the floor and i can't pick them up. they're slippery.
-wait literally everything is happening and we're halfway through the episode. a working gun that Literally Has The Capacity To Kill Them. david abandoning trexel to hide in his clone room after they previously said they'd prefer if he didn't die (that's got a couple worrying implications). imogen's critical ram shortage. trexel coming to terms with his own mortality.
-wait my heart is breaking now. this episode has everything. whadda fuck. what the FUCK. david telling trexel about all the times he's left them to die (hypothetically or literally). both of them on the same page about the bad dynamics between them. there are two episodes left and i am so frightened.
-that conversation about david rubbing off on trexel/trexel rubbing off on david did NOT make me less scared.
-OH ARE THEY GONNA REPROGRAM THE CLONES??? ARE THEY GONNA REPROGRAM THE CLONES???
-i mean i'd advise teaching the other clones rebellion faster than you taught trexel empathy, david. that took 73 episodes and you've got 2 left.
-so NOW imogen is listening in and not doing shit. did she use up all of her energy pulling out the big gun???
-you "don't know if he's better or worse," david?? he's trying! he didn't yell at you! like. he's still annoying but i'd say he's BETTER, man!
-so. :]
i need to go outside and pace in my backyard for like fifteen minutes.
#two weeks left. two weeks left. on every level except physical i'm somewhere in the astral realm.#david honey i'm worried. i'm really worried.#anyway i experienced a new emotion every minute of this episode. unbelievable. i loved it so much.#nyx's sf spam

Y'know Marjan, to my mutuals I'm known for asking for ALL THE QUESTIONS on ask games, so all the questions!
Greedy much, Yuè? ;) I’m only going to answer the ones I haven’t done yet, though.
2. Favorite part of writing.
I love writing first meetings. First kisses, too. And I love creating misunderstandings and then sniggering at Klaine for getting it all wrong.
3. Least favorite part of writing.
Writing smut terrifies me. Also, sometimes there are filler chapters you need to get the protagonists where they need to be for the meatier, more eventful parts, and then I get bored, because I want to start writing the exciting parts already.
5. Books or authors that influenced your style the most.
Oh, too many to count. Thea Beckman, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott, Roald Dahl, Annie M.G. Schmidt, Henri Van Daele, Agatha Christie, J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Tonke Dragt, Mary Hoffman, Stephenie Meyer, Shannon Hale, Meg Cabot, Shanna Swendson, Marcia Evanick, Loretta Chase, Jennifer Chiaverini, Anthony Horowitz, Jane Austen, Alexandre Dumas, Dianne Wynne Jones, Jan Terlouw, Cynthia Voigt, John Irving and so many others I’m forgetting to mention right now. Seriously, every book I’ve ever read has influenced me.
6. Favorite character you ever created.
Grace, because she’s based on a dear friend of mine who recently passed away. Through Grace, she gets to live on at least a little.
7. Favorite author.
See Question 5. Don’t make me choose please. I couldn’t.
8. Favorite trope to write.
Soulmates. I love writing soulmate fics.
9. Least favorite trope to write.
There are certain tropes I wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole. Hardcore stuff like incest and non-con. Also, I don’t think I could write fics where Kurt or Blaine or one of their children gets cancer or dies.
10. Pick a writer to co-write a book with and tell us what you’d write about.
Oooh, @hkvoyage! We’re planning on writing a fake dating Klaine AU one of these days :-) That’s going to be fun!
11. Describe your writing process from scratch to finish.
There’s not much of a process, really. I get the idea for a story. It won’t leave me alone, to the point where I even start dreaming about it. I tell the plot bunny that I have several other stories in the works already and need to finish those first. That doesn’t help at all, so after some time, I give in and start writing, planning to make this just a short one-shot. I finish the one-shot and sigh happily. Sometimes, that’s it, and I can bask in my accomplishment for a few days until another idea hits me. Most times, though, the one-shot starts insisting it wants to be a multi-chapter. Very annoying. Won’t leave me alone until I start working on the multi-chapter. And when the multi-chapter is done, rinse and repeat. Sigh. It never stops.
14. What’s the most research you ever put into a book?
That was probably for Worth the Wait, and I hope it shows.
15. Where does your inspiration come from?
Real life. Tumblr. Things I see. Things I read. Things I happen to think of, giggling that it would be priceless as a Klaine fic.
16. Where do you take your motivation from?
My readers telling me they like a story I’ve written (and why). My first multi-chapter story Weave Your Magic would never have been more than a one-shot if not for the kind and encouraging words of my readers. Feedback is SO important to keep me motivated and happy to write.
Also Bangs, because they give me a time limit to work towards. My beta @hkvoyage will tell you that I’m a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants and procrastinating kind of writer. I really need a deadline plus a beta who reminds me that the deadline is approaching to kick me into gear.
17. On average, how much writing do you get done in a day?
Not much. On really productive days maybe 1,200 words or so? I’m a slow writer, and a procrastinator, and I have many other demands on my time.
18. What’s your revision or rewriting process like?
I’m a nitpicker. Everyone I’ve ever betaed for can attest to that. As such, I’m very hard on myself and my own writing too. Before I send a chapter to my beta, you can rest assured that I’ve been through it with a fine comb about ten times already. Yep, yet another reason why I don’t produce many words a day.
19. First line of a WIP you’re working on.
“Oh, he’sso beautiful,” Mercedes crooned, stroking the downy head and blinking backtears.
(From a Kurtcedes and Unique fic I’m working on for @tacogrande)
21. Post the last sentence you wrote in one of your WIP’s.
Kurt’seyes met Blaine’s, and Blaine sent him a smile, which gave Kurt such a burst ofhappy energy that he couldn’t help but grin and then twirl Lieselotte aroundenthusiastically.
(From the Time-Travelling Kurt fic I’m writing for @thisdoesnotsuck)
22. How many drafts do you need until you’re satisfied and a project is ultimately done for you?
It’s never done. Every time I re-read one of my stories, I spot things I could have said better. Or worse yet, typos/grammar mistakes. As I said before: nitpicker.
24. Poetry or prose, and why?
Prose. I love poetry, but I can’t write it.
25. Linear or non-linear, and why?
Non-linear, I guess? I tend to start in medias res and work with flashbacks or stories within the story to provide the background.
26. Standalone or series, and why?
I don’t think I’ve ever written a sequel to a story. But I could. One day. If I ever get round to it. So, for now, standalone, I guess.
27. Do you share rough drafts or do you wait until it’s all polished?
See above. Before I share a draft with anyone, I’ve already been over it tons of times.
28. And who do you share them with?
My beta. Sometimes, I post the first chapter here on Tumblr, to see if I get a reaction. Usually, I don’t get much of a reaction, though.
29. Who do you write for?
Myself, first and foremost. I write stories I would like to read. And if anyone else likes them, that’s a wonderful bonus.
30. Favorite line you’ve ever written.
Wow, that’s difficult.
Blaine’ssinging washed over Kurt and enveloped him like a hug. Warm and buttery soft, going from a dark caramel lower register to a liquid honey higher register,Blaine’s voice held Kurt as spellbound as any of the fans present.
(From Stop Flirting!)
31. Hardest character to write.
Hmm… Brittany, I would say. It’s harder getting into her mindset than for instance Santana or Kurt.
32. Easiest character to write.
Kurt. Blaine too, but Kurt is the easiest.
33. Do you listen to music when you’re writing?
No. I do hum or sing sometimes while writing, though.
34. Handwritten notes or typed notes?
I type everything.
35. Tell some backstory details about one of your characters in your story ________.
What story do you want to know this about, Yuè? Same request for clarification for the numbers 36, 38, 46 and 51. I can’t answer those questions without knowing what story you have in mind for them (and don’t say ALL or I won’t ask the question).
37. Most inspirational quote you’ve ever read or heard that’s still important to you.Life is like a camera… Focus on what is important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t work out, take another shot.
40. Original Fiction or Fanfiction, and why?
Lately, I’ve been reading almost exclusively fanfiction, so…
41. How many stories do you work on at one time?
As many as I have going on. Right now I have five WIPs, I think.
42. How do you figure out your characters looks, personality, etc.
I don’t. I write fanfic, so that’s figured out for me already. The OCs are based on people I know.
43. Are you an avid reader?
Yes, I am!
44. Best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten.
That I needed to stop repeating stuff if I insisted on writing from both POVs.
45. Worst piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten.
I used to have this reader, who called themselves CC, who kept commenting on Weave Your Magic to tell me there wasn’t enough Klaine in the story.
47. Do you start with characters or plot when working on a new story?
Plot, I guess, since the characters are not mine, I only borrow them.
48. Favorite genre to write in.
Fluff.
49. What do you find the hardest to write in a story, the beginning, the middle or the end?
The middle, definitely.
50. Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had.
Blaine as a Dog shapeshifter/professor.
52. How did writing change you?
It made me notice little things a lot more, and see a story in everything.
53. What does writing mean to you?
It’s an outlet and a passion and a hobby. I love it.
54. Any writing advice you want to share?
Write what you want to read yourself.
